totk spoilers but are we ACTUALLY meant to think it’s poetic or flattering or triumphant that Rauru was like “oh YEAH? Well in thousands of years this guy called Link is gonna kick your ass”
How much has he even heard about Link? He must have had at least one more conversation about him with Zelda because the Master Sword doesn’t come up in the Zelda and Sonia tear, and by the King’s Duty tear Rauru’s just like oh don’t worry, if we don’t finish Ganondorf off I’m sure your bf can handle him. As I’ve said before, his “We rely on your knight” line rubbed me the wrong way starting with its appearance in the trailer, and it really does not feel less entitled after watching said knight (and that legendary sword he carries) very very VERY nearly get one-shotted by Ganondorf at the beginning of the game. And Zelda knows this! What does she feel watching her Better Dad Substitute sacrifice himself and simultaneously sic the evil bad guy on Link—a siccing which explicitly shapes Ganondorf’s attitude towards Link at the beginning of the game? At what point did she have the emotion of “welp. I know why Ganondorf knew Link’s name now.” The musical blending of the LOZ theme/hero’s theme with Rauru’s theme seems to suggest that it’s not an emotion meant to be had at exactly that moment, but I cannot watch Rauru sneer “remember that name” without yelling HE DOESN’T NEED THAT INFORMATION at the screen.
I played through the GSI in Japanese recently and Rauru did seem a touch less entitled to Link than I’ve been reading him—mostly because of the formal, polite, outgroup-equal language he used with him—but I still can’t get over the extent to which Rauru heard about Link a few times and decided, sight unseen, that he was going to clean up Rauru’s mess. My man what made you think that. What gave you the right to decide that. And how frightening to be Zelda and watch Rauru pin all the world’s hope on her beloved knight who Ganondorf absolutely fucking wiped the floor with. We see this worry in her in the Master Sword in Time cutscene! To what extent can Zelda’s transformation and before that her petition to the other tribes of Hyrule for Link’s sake be understood as a forced action due to Rauru’s conviction that Link could do this no sweat? Almost entirely, I feel—but does the game know that?
I just. Isn't it intentional? Doesn't it have to be? The fact that Rauru already needs the correction, once, that he cannot and should not face the Demon King alone. Then his melodramatic claim that Link has got this on lock. Then Zelda being like 😬 not sure about this actually and going through the whole process of talking to the ancient sages + draconifying for the sake of the Master Sword. Because Rauru absolutely set Link up to fail and Zelda is the one making sure Link has the resources, including the support of others, he needs to succeed. And the game is so much about community, about not doing things on your own.
And yet the way the scene is scored and animated and the way all the other characters talk about Rauru's sacrifice seems to treat this as a a moment of culmination, of triumph. I am getting such mixed messages here.
Understand, I’m saying all of this with an aching fondness for this poor self-deluded hypocrite. And also teeth-grinding frustration. I think he deserves to feel suffocatingly humiliated when Link almost didn’t survive Ganondorf’s attack and I also have tremendous sympathy for the shame and terror that it might be far too late to correct his mistake that he must have felt as he waited for Link to wake up. Both of those things. Hopelessly lonely man who found people to love him and built himself into a role he was never adequate for. I wish the game looked at this a little more. I wish I could tell if the game intended this at all.
(This is not the most intelligently written post but I assure you I mean every word of it.)

Thanks for the tag @sage-nebula !! Been a minute since I’ve done one of these ✨
Last song: “Not Sorry For Loving You” from EPIC: The Vengeance Saga. Probably my favorite from the most recent saga — loooove Calypso’s voice
Fave color: greeeeeen! I’ve probably tried to pin it down more specifically in the past, but the shade of green fluctuates tbh. Olive green, forest green, sage green, seafoam green, emerald green, jewel-toned phthalo green… all of them live in my heart tbh. (aaand I’m just a sucker for cool colors in general lmao)
Last book: I’m finally getting back to a place where I feel like I could try reading again!! Last book I started was Cultish by Amanda Montell, and I have a lot of other promising reads I checked out on a rare feel-good day and haven’t cracked open yet (which might be overdue; they’ll return home soon 💀)
Last movie: When Marnie Was There! My brother and I have been trying to catch up by watching some Studio Ghibli movies from time-to-time (hadn’t heard of any outside of Ponyo until I was out of high school… OOPS—), and Marnie was next on our list. Looots of big feelings about that story.
Last tv show: main things I’m (mostly) keeping up with tv-wise are DanDaDan and NCIS: Origins. I’m thiiiinking about starting Moriarty the Patriot, and everyone’s praise for Arcane has me curious 👀
Sweet/savory/spicy: heavy on the savory tbh. There’s appreciation for the sweet and spicy forsure, but savory is at the top for me currently!!
Relationship status: friendship is magic NEXT QUESTION
Last thing I searched: I can’t lie, that poll I reblogged about soup had me looking up Italian wedding and pumpkin soup recipes. Tumblr is makin me HONGRY
Current obsession: LMM frEakin bit me again; Warriors (2024) has been stuuuuck in my head and on repeat for days. Those are my giiiirls. So many fun genres to explore in a musical! Outside of that and the usual suspects (bears, the swimmies, etc), I’d probably have to say Pokémon TCGP and Pokémon Sleep. I still need to pull my beloved Snorlax and Venusaur on TCGP (or some worthwhile dark types to progress in the solo battle challenges), and I was so happy to wake up to a baby Bulbasaur next to my Snorlax on Sleep this morning <333 I’m such a sucker for lil guys
Looking forward to: soon? I get to visit my grandma again tomorrow! I’ve been trying to see her close to weekly since she’s been in that nursing home (and since they allowed for safe masked visits), and each day I still have with her is a gift 💕 hospice and general QoL decline have been a process, but on days she’s doing alright, she adores getting to see me <3 beyooond that, I’m looking forward to the sakadays anime in January!!
Favorite drink: tough one!! Umm, I’ve been on a rootbeer kick on and off for the past year so that’s def up there. Apple juice and fruit punches are good sometimes as well, same with Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb. I’ve been a water guy lately tbh, but I like a fun lil drink now and then!! OOH I need to have wassail again soon 🤤
Song playing on a loop in your head: “Call Me Mercy” from Warriors, due to the aforementioned obsession. Something particularly earwormy about that one. Other songs from the musical come to me in snippets, but that one is fully on loop
Current favorite character: outside of the permanent mind residents (I see green and blue in everything), Fox from Warriors and Taro Sakamoto from SakaDays have been spinning around in there, along with their friends. Momo and Okarun are also bickering up in the mind palace, naturally
Fun activity you would like to get into: I just need to get back to cultivating my hobbies now that I’m a lil less doom and gloom than I was a month ago. I guess different forms of crafting are always on this list. I took a drawing class/session at the library last week that looked into the basics of light and shadow, so maybe I can get into graphite and charcoal sketching!! I used to try some charcoal stuff years ago without instruction, and experimenting it was fun enough to try again.
Last video game: Balatro my beloved !!! It’s been surprisingly fun, despite my fear of deck-builders in the past. I think it helps that there’s a lot of chance and variety to it, so each run can be a chance to try something new.
Last comic/graphic novel: I guess Blue Exorcist? Again, it’s been a minute since I’ve been in a mindset to read 😅 I’m probably going to catch back up on it soon, and I’ve been planning on doing a sakadays reread since my brother just started reading it. We’ll see what happens!!
No pressure tagging @ahobbitincamelot @tonfea @shenyaanigans @reikunrei @lithopsy @celesteeal @suhmayzooka and anyone else who feels like yapping 💚💚💚

Idea alert!
Give me cult of the lamb au of LMK,
MK is the stand in for Baal and Aym, just him. Unless you have OCs but that’s not my point specifically.
I could see Wukong or Macaque as either Nari or lamb or Forneus even. Thought I’ve always headcanoned that Forneus and Nari were together in the past.
If Wukong is Narinder then it’s kinda just him being stuck in the mountain, since this is an AU and we all know the majority of the fandom ships narilamb I wasn’t going to days Tripitaka was Ratau, instead of the lamb. Acting as a guide for Macaque to help Wukong escape where he had failed(potential for the backstory of Tripitaka failing to free Wukong and going on the JTTW with whatever stand in there would be instead of Wukong. Maybe his staff with like a magical communication spell idk it’s COTL/LMK. Either way this is after JTTW)
In the scenario of Wukong being Nari this could play as Macaque coming to the mountain after a thousand years to see Wukong still under the mountain. Having heard the rumor that he escape due to people seeing his magical astral projection and whatever magic he uses to trick demons into thinking the Monkey King is actually there, and humans falling for it aswell. Macaque is promptly shocked and horrified to see Wukong still stuck under there and probably suffering physically or at the very least mentally. He also finds a strange kid(MK) with him, being taught and mentored, though however hard it is to mentor/be mentored by a guy stuck in a mountain. Macaque finds that Wukong is fiercely protective of the kid and the kid is consistently attempting to defend him. Thought macaque is never at the end of Wukong or the kids fierce protectiveness over the other. Macaque, having calmed down from their fight when Wukong was first trapped, and offers to become Wukongs vessel and help him. Macaque is mostly tasked with taking care of his monkeys on FFM with MK and help Wukong actually train him. While MK is away or asleep, Macaque talks with Tripitaka, learning about his old friend’s change and enlightenment, about his new view of the world. Macaque finds himself falling in love again, learning that the Great Sage isn’t the man he’d been hurt by in their verbal spat. Macaque eventually either talks or fights his way through heaven and somehow receives the Jade Emperors decree to free Sun Wukong.
When he does this, Wukong can’t barely stand right, it’s been a literally millennia since his felt anything but stationary stone against his body except part of his leg, his hand, and his head.
The Monkey King has a few days of readjusting and recentering himself before he gets the most extreme zoomies ever and then it’s Shadowpeach marriage time.
If this gets enough attention I’ll do another part about Macaque as Nari AU.

WIP Wedneday? WIP Wednesday.
Road trip with the cast of Monster Mash. Imagine these dinguses playing yellow car.
--
Jack Russell had never been a fan of long car rides.
He didn’t mind driving, particularly. Being a werewolf often meant living somewhere new every month, and until the advent of cheap intercontinental air travel, that had mostly meant picking a continent and moving around on it as best he could. And for the last century or so, moving around in North America had meant automobiles. He’d driven everything from Model Ts to Rolls Royces, and none of it had been particularly difficult or uncomfortable.
No, it was being a passenger that he couldn’t stand.
Perhaps it was something about werewolf reflexes; he reacted to things slightly faster than ordinary humans, even in his own human form, so if he wasn’t careful, riding shotgun in a car meant he was constantly tapping an imaginary brake or gas pedal half a second before the driver did. Or perhaps it was lingering trauma from all the times he’d been shot or netted, trussed up, and thrown into the back of something with a snarling engine. Whatever it was, he didn’t enjoy being in a moving vehicle that he didn’t control. He sometimes wondered how Ted felt about it; after all, there probably weren’t any vehicles built for someone his size.
But Elsa Bloodstone owned the van, and Elsa did not give up her keys without a good reason, so Jack had gotten used to swallowing his pride and climbing into the passenger seat—or worse, the back after Bucky Barnes won the coin toss.
There was one positive to Elsa’s driving, though. Somehow, through whatever perverse alchemy made her the most remarkable woman in the world (at least in Jack’s thoroughly biased and entirely correct opinion), he could sleep while she was at the wheel. Something about the cedar-and-sage scent of her at close quarters put his hackles down, smoothed his bristling paranoia, and let him drift off to the thrum of the engine and the whisper of her breath.
And so he was mostly asleep, slipping in and out of a pleasant dream about running through high mountain forests with nothing chasing him for once, when he heard Elsa’s voice.
“Barnes.”
“Your majesty,” Bucky drawled from behind Jack, where he was presumably still strapped into a jump seat in the cargo area.
Jack felt the smile tugging at his lips. He hoped Elsa couldn’t see it.
Elsa huffed, and Jack could hear the eyeroll in her voice. “In my infinite mercy, I’ve decided to do you a favor.”
“Golly, gee, thanks.”
“You’re welcome,” she said flatly. “I’m saving you considerable embarrassment. Not counting your years with Hydra, how long would you say you’ve been, er—?”
“Myself? Conscious? Human?”
Jack couldn’t suppress the small flinch.
“Yes. That.”
“A few years, now. I guess you can count it from 2014, if you’re going from when I got out. But it took me a couple years to, y’know, have a personality again. Why?”
“Did you spend much time catching up on history?”
“I puked for two days straight after I googled JFK, so no.”
“Right, then. There are facts you’ll need to know if you don’t want to make a complete arse of yourself.”
“If this is about Marvin Gaye, I swear to Christ—”
“Your Wikipedia page,” Elsa interrupted, “says you were raised Irish American Catholic. Is that true?”
“Near ’nough.” A faint Irish lilt drifted through Bucky’s voice. “My dad was, anyway.”
“Then you probably heard a few sermons in your day about the evils of homosexuality.”
Bucky burst out laughing.
It was loud enough that Jack gave up even pretending to sleep, opened his eyes, and sat up from where he’d been slumped against the passenger window. He stretched as somewhere behind him, Ted rumbled a question that sounded like What the hell?
“Sorry, fellas,” Bucky chuckled. “Old man laughs at history lesson, you know how it is.” He snorted.
Jack stretched and used the motion as an excuse to look back at the cargo bay. Bucky was, indeed, still in his jump seat, wiping tears from his eyes and grinning.
“Priceless,” he muttered. “Just priceless. Elsa, is this gonna be one of those ‘some people are queer now and you gotta be okay with it’ talks?”
“If by ‘okay’ you mean ‘on your best manners or I’ll stab you’, then yes, that’s what this is.” Elsa took her eyes off the road just long enough to glare daggers at Bucky.
“Ha.” Bucky scrubbed at his face with his flesh hand. “Okay, let’s save you some time. Quick show of hands—who in this van has, at some point in their life, done queer shit?”
He pulled his hand away from his face and raised it above his head.
Jack grinned and put his own hand up.
Ted urfed and raised his.
Bucky looked at Elsa and raised his eyebrows.
Grudgingly, Elsa raised her hand.
“That’s what I thought,” Bucky said. His voice gentled. “Doll, I’m from Brooklyn. Down by the Navy yard, no less. There’s not much I ain’t seen. If I use the wrong words or something, please do correct me before the ghost of my mother rises from her grave and hauls me off by my ear, but you don’t have to worry I’ll see two fellas kissing and get the vapors.”
“Good,” Elsa replied, turning her attention back to the road. “Because our client is an old friend of mine, and I’ve got barbed bolts in my crossbow.”

Heathers Review (Pelican Productions) - 12/09/2024
Stepping into Heathers, I knew we were in for a wild ride, but I wasn’t prepared for the sheer power and presence of this cast.
Tayla Prime as Heather Chandler was an absolute force of nature. She dominated the stage with so much authority that I found myself genuinely intimidated from the audience! I wouldn’t dare cross her Chandler—if I were in Westerberg High, I’d be running for the hills. It was a performance that oozed confidence and power, embodying the iconic ‘mythic b****’ perfectly.
Teagan Garvey as JD had some great moments, especially in the beginning where he played up JD’s charm to a T. His descent into madness was compelling, with Garvey really showcasing the complexity of the role. There were a few moments where his vocals fell a little flat, but overall, he was stellar and brought a lot to the table.
Then there’s Samantha Keough as Veronica—wow. I have never been so in awe of a voice. She didn’t just deliver; she owned the character, adding her unique vocal flair rather than just doing a by-the-numbers version of Veronica. I’d go so far as to say she’s one of the best Veronicas I’ve seen in Adelaide!
Caitlin Laventure as Heather Duke was a standout for me. Talk about a triple threat—the dancing, the singing, the acting, all flawlessly executed. I honestly can’t believe she isn’t already a staple in the professional scene. It was hard to keep my eyes off her whenever she was on stage.
Lily Horton-Stewarts Heather McNamara was another highlight. "Lifeboat" was a real emotional journey, and she took the audience right along with her. I could feel her anxiety bubbling under the surface, and when it broke, it was powerful. A beautifully crafted performance.
And then, Darcie Yelland as Martha—my heart. She brought so much warmth and life to Martha that you just wanted to give her a hug. By the time "Kindergarten Boyfriend" hit, I was a complete mess. It’s a challenging role to pull off, but Yelland absolutely nailed it.
I have to mention my favorite duo of the night: Zach Bartlett and Freddie Windle as Kurt and Ram. These two bounced off each other perfectly, delivering the humor and energy the roles require. They’re an iconic duo, and I truly hope to see them working together in the future!
Hannah Brown as Ms. Fleming brought so much life to the ditzy teacher role. You could really sense how much she cared about her News Crew… which made for a lot of laughs. I thoroughly enjoyed watching her performance!
The song of the night had to be ‘My Dead Gay Son’. The dads, Leo Sage and Hanno de Klerk, absolutely nailed it! The audience couldn’t stop clapping, and we just wanted more. Well done to both actors for a standout performance.
The ensemble deserves massive credit as well. The choreography and vocals were tight and well-constructed, with each piece fitting together like a perfectly synchronized puzzle. You could just feel the joy radiating off the entire cast, which gave the performance an extra spark of magic.
As for the set design, it was nothing short of spectacular. I loved the concept—especially how the brick wall split apart, and the two-story levels made the stage feel dynamic and immersive. I found myself wondering how long it took to build because it was just so beautifully crafted.
The lighting was also brilliantly executed. I loved how they played within the scheme. My favorite moment had to be during the bomb sequence, where the stage transformed into what looked like a disco ball for just a moment, symbolizing the explosion—it was an inventive and effective choice.
Sound was mostly on point. While there were a few minor issues with mics not being turned on in time or some effects coming in late, the sound mix overall was fantastic. Missing a couple of lines didn’t take away from how well everything sounded.
Big shoutout to the creative team. You’ve put on an amazing rendition of Heathers, and I’m excited to see what you all work on next. Overall, this cast for Heathers knocked it out of the park. From powerhouse performances to stellar ensemble work, this show was a treat from start to finish.

I'd love to know more about Lost 👀
- hero-of-the-wolf
Hehe sure thing! I have some posts around here somewhere talking about him but I don’t feel like finding them lol
So Lost (Link) is a knight at the castle, one of the best, though he’s pretty quiet and stern. He’s close with Zelda though, and they’ve known each other for a long time. Zelda starts getting these dreams where darkness covers Hyrule, overtaking the kingdom, but in every dream she sees a figure holding a mystical blade who saves the kingdom right before it’s destroyed.
Zelda does some research and consulting with Impa, and they figure out the blade has to be the Master Sword. The problem is its existence has been largely forgotten, and there’s only guesses and legends as to where it is. But they finally narrow it down to being in a particular forest, and Zelda sends out a group of her best knights to try to find it, Link along with them.
But something goes wrong. Only one knight comes back, injured and riding Link’s horse. He manages to get out a story about Link disappearing into the woods, and after hours of searching having no luck finding him. Until suddenly a dark figure came out of nowhere and attacked them all, one they quickly realized was Link.
Vaati, or some purple-themed guy is the villain here, and he’s the one who has Link under his control. He was posing as an ambassador from a faraway land, but had been gradually gathering resources and monsters, and has plans to take over Hyrule. And he’s quickly accomplishing that with Link’s (unwilling) help. He needed some muscle, and taking the hero out was an added bonus.
More stuff happens, but basically Zelda ends up being the one to go out and find sages to help stop Vaati, since the Master Sword and its hero aren’t exactly available to help. And Link is hunting her down the entire time, and is similar to Ghirahim in how you encounter and fight him over the course of the game.
I... think that’s mostly it lol. I’ve had him as an oc for a year or two now but I haven’t done much with him but write a handful of out of context scenes from his story XD the whole thing is mostly something I just like to play with :3
#but yes I very much enjoy talking about him :D#thank you very much for the ask!!!#answers from the floor#lovely hero of the wolf#Lost#link oc#legend of Zelda au

⚠️MAJOR EPISODE 7 SPOILER!⚠️
Im debating if I should translate this chapter, but in the meantime, let me scream😆
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!! I AM BESIDE MYSELF RIGHT NOW!!! I made it to 7-47 AND WHO JUST HAPPENS TO SPEAK UP WITH A SMOOTH AND VELVET VOICE!?!!?
ASK AND WE SHALL RECEIVE!!! SHROUD PAPA!!!!!
He sounds like a very mature Idia to me.😂 I wish we could see what he really looks like. I mean, I know the genetic features run in the family, but I would have still loved to have seen his face.
And, as if this wasn’t enough:
SHROUD MAMA IS ALSO HERE!!!! THE FLOWERS ON HER HELMET ARE SO PRETTY✨
Idia’s mom sounds so young to me. And, in a sense, gave me Rika from Mystic Messenger vibes. Is it me or is there a calculating chill on this woman?😂
Oh god, I’m just so floored right now. I know your son and everyone else is pretty much in danger right now, but I just…I need more time with the parents. Im loving the helmets, but at the same time I want to see them.😭 I want these crumbs I couldn’t get in episode 6🥹
Edit:
Now that I’ve had a nap, I proceeded to the next part. First off, their parents don’t have names. They are merely referred to as Director for Shroud papa, and Chief for Shroud mama. Their mom is basically the head of technology.
I know Idia has expressed before that his parents don’t seem to care for them. And, they do come off as all work and no play. I feel like it’s mostly because they are at the front of STYX. This is, in a way, the family business. They have to run it.
The more I hear the director, the more I do feel like he’s obviously older, but a more mature sounding Idia. He tends to be more level headed, as he’s assessing the situation on Sage’s Island, and speculating all sorts of possibilities. He’s also quick to delegate STYX, and start getting things done just like Idia is quick to formulate plans in a pinch. It’s why I say he’s like a mature Idia.
The chief, however, I feel like she has two sides to her. As Chief, she’s very business-like. Shroud papa also mentioned that she’s a genius! I guess it makes sense because she is an engineer. She also predicted Ortho would reach out to them via the STYX satellite because Idia hacked into it since “he can’t live without internet”. Anything involving technology is her thing. That being said, this is a woman who knows her boys all too well.
While their dad wondered if his sons were already gone, mama was like “They’re alive.” Shroud papa asked how she knew, and her response is “A mother’s ‘intuition’.” Even when Ortho finally managed to reach STYX, it’s like a switch flipped and she went into mama mode.😂 It’s a little jarring hearing her have such a youthful voice like that of a teenage girl. She sounds waaaay too young.🤣
And, she definitely doesn’t treat Ortho like that isn’t her irl son. She calls him “Orth-kun”, but it’d be more like “Orthie”? She asks Ortho if “Onii-chan” is okay. She asks if he has any injuries, too. In a baby voice, tells him it must’ve been so scawwy😆 Ortho definitely inherited her optimistic attitude.

Am I the only one that feels that current ace is kind of lacking? Yes I get that twst is supposed to focus on dorm leaders and stuff but it feels like he keeps getting pushed to the side despite being one of the first main characters we actually meet. I wish there was something interesting going for him, like I'm well aware that the traitor theory has been proven wrong multiple times yet I still cling onto it because its one of the few ways he can be significant anymore. In general I just want more ace content plus his unique magic that hopefully comes out in book six, don't take this too literally as my wording my come off as wrong but hopefully you understand what I mean.
I definitely feel like Ace hasn’t been getting a lot of screen time in the main story since the prologue and episode 1, but I think it mostly makes sense. Each proceeding episode has to make way for new characters to play a part, so Ace kind of falls to the wayside with Deuce.
The two basically share the same amount of screen time following episode 1 (right down to their general lack of presence in both 4 and 6), with the big exception being 5; of the duo, Deuce takes center stage in the Pomefiore section due to his developing friendship with Epel, as well as his developing sense of self identity and unique magic. It kind of balances out Deuce taking a backseat to Ace in episode 1…? (Sort of???) Cuz I definitely felt like Ace was more involved than Deuce when it came to inciting rebellion against Riddle. I think maybe the perception of Ace not feeling important as of late is because the last time he was largely relevant was allllll the way back in the beginning of the main story.
That being said, I wonder if Ruler of the Abyss (episode 7) will have Ace getting his unique magic 🤔 since it’s already dealing with a bunch of hard-hitting story beats like Malleus’s impending dread of being abandoned by the people he cares for, Lilia’s departure, Yuu returning home, Grim’s realization that he will soon be alone (plus his potential OB). It’d be difficult for the devs to also squeeze in an arc about Ace feeling inferior to Deuce and coming to grips with what makes himself special… but hey, I still have my fingers crossed! 🤞 It’d be a real treat if we got to see all of Diasomnia’s UM reveals as well as Ace’s as the cherry on top! I think it could be done if 7 was like… super long or just really REALLY well written. Admittedly though, I would find this pacing a little weird, as we’d go from Deuce unlocking his UM in 5 to no progression of Ace’s reaction in 6 to suddenly addressing it in 7; you’d think it would flow more coherently if Deuce and Ace got their UMs in consecutive episodes (instead it was Deuce, then Epel), but I guess adding two extra bodies to the already bulky cast of 6 would’ve been too much 💦.
On the topic of Ace traitor theory 😅 I’m honestly shocked that it’s still around?? It’s not something I’ve ever really gotten behind, as I feel like a lot of the points brought up for it are very vague (like… “His last name is Trappola instead of Heart! He could be setting a trap!” and, “He has an older brother that used to be in Heartslabyul! Maybe Ace wants to get revenge for his brother.”). A fun idea for sure, but I don’t think I’ve seen a really solid explanation for why Ace would feasibly betray his friends in canon.
In spite of how bratty and callous he can be, I do believe Ace genuinely cares for his friends when it comes down to it and wouldn’t go out of his way to intentionally harm them. This is the same dude who took a long and extremely tedious route from the Queendom of Roses all the way back to Sage’s Isle just to make sure Yuu and Grim were okay over winter break, the same guy who was so relieved when Yuu and Grim safely returned to NRC campus.
I think there’s still ways for Ace to be a significant force in the main story (without him necessarily turning traitor), but it largely depends on how episode 7 continues to play from hereon out and what elements it chooses to focus on. It can be difficult to balance all of it, so I wouldn’t blame the devs if they decided to hold off on adding Ace into the episode 7 pot of plot points. If not in episode 7, there’s always the possibility for new main story content released afterwards to talk about Ace’s character (as well as new event stories and card vignettes where he will probably feature).

last song: get ready by sublime 🚬
fav colour: I actually dunno. Wait I’m gonna stick a whole palette here. I really feel like it’s always relative . It’s insufferable to say IT DEPENDS to this question but bro sometimes it really depends
I like warmer tones mostly, esp colours that look like they coulda come out of 35mm film. If i were to answer this question normally I would say orange or blue or sage green
currently watching: I’m halfway through Rebecca (1940) cause I stopped at the hour mark and haven’t sat back down to finish it and wwwooowww it’s pretty much my first time seeing Laurence Olivier because I didn’t look closely at him when my teacher played Hamlet in class. It’s good but I wonder why Hitchcock made two movies with Joan Fontaine married to someone who’s maybe a murderer. And I wonder why the later one was so much worse
spicy/savoury/sweet: spicy baby!! And then a sweet drink off to the side to cool off
relationship status: Two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year running over the same old ground what have we found? the same old fears
current obsession: my warlock in the D&D campaign I play in. Also noir films, i like old timey guys punching each other. I dont think my brain activity recently has been very high, I’ve become very pictures images sensations sights based. Hopefully I get truly obsessed with something super stuffy and stuck up soon. I’m thinking heraldry? Maybe tattoo history? The second one isn’t stuffy it’s actually pretty swag

high infidelity | fifteen
Nothing lasts forever, but this is gonna take me down. *Noah's POV* “I can’t wait for you see this place, it’s the best.” Ellie’s hand found mine like a magnet as we walked over to the aquarium. I pulled out my credit card before she could think to grab hers and paid for our tickets. She didn’t even argue this time, her excitement was taking over her as she practically dragged me into the first exhibit. I watched her eyes light up like a child as she watched the jellyfish float above her, it warmed my heart to see her like this. I wanted to make her feel like this all the time. She nudged me when she noticed I was staring at her instead of what was in front of me, I tried to play it off but I couldn’t.
We took our time in every exhibit and we found ourselves circling back to see the clownfish, both admitting to Finding Nemo being one of our favourite Disney movies. I found it so adorable when Ellie would explain to me where in British Columbia you could find some of these fish and if she had been there or not. I had to admit, where she lived was absolutely gorgeous and it was really growing on me. I felt more at home here than I did in California. I would move up here in a heartbeat but I didn’t want to give off the wrong impression. “Hey, can I ask you something?” Ellie and I were sitting in an underground area where you could watch the otters and seals swim by. There was no one else around so we took the opportunity to sit down and admire the wildlife. “Of course.” She muses, not taking her eyes off the glass. “Do you think it would be weird if I moved up here?” I asked nervously. Ellie turned her attention to me, her eyes were begging me to continue. “I’m not asking you to move in with me. I’d have my own space and go down to LA when I needed to for work. Being here the last couple days has felt more like home than anywhere else I’ve been. “Honestly, Noah.” I looked over at her, completely terrified about what she was gonna say. “I’ve been dreading what’s going to happen and when I’m gonna see you next. Having you in the same city would make things a lot easier…Maybe we do a trial run?” “What do you mean?” “I have to find my own place soon anyway, why don’t you just stay with me for a couple days a week and if you like it, you can move up here. It’s not as easy as moving to a new city, it's a whole new country for you. I want you to be certain it's what you want.” “Ellie Wilson, are you asking me to move in with you?” “Temporarily.” She muses as she kisses my cheek. “By the way, my last name is Matthews. Wilson is my married name.” “I like Matthews better.” I smiled before kissing her gently. A strand of my hair fell and she moved it out of the way, her eyes wandering all over my face as if she was trying to read me. I did the same and counted the different shades of green in her eyes, mostly sage speckled with gold and moss. I was so happy right now I felt like my heart was going to explode. I think it's safe to say I was finally home.

hi everybody! welcome to my blog! just writing a lil pinned to tell you a little about me and what this blog is for
El // 24 // she/her
My blog is a bit of personal grimoire decorated with things I find aesthetically pleasing. I work with spirits and deities, mostly Hellenic in nature - particularly with Apollo and Aphrodite. I also work with the saints frequently. I use astrology and I’m always happy to talk stars; I’m an Aries sun, Aquarius moon and a Leo rising. I also love divination and am never far from my tarot cards.
In terms of my practice, I do a lot of candle work and whip up the odd jar now and then. I have a big love of kitchen witchery and - time allowing - spend a lot of time cooking. Divination is my main (and favourite) mode of practice and if not cartomancy, I’ll be found with pendulums, in meditation, or scrying. I can read auras and have been able to for as long as I can remember. I wouldn’t describe myself as Wiccan, but I do celebrate a loose form of the wheel of the year, especially the Solstices.
You’ll sometimes see a little bit of my other interests on this blog too - I love video games, particularly the Zelda franchise and most things Nintendo, however I do play a lot of competitive shooters (valorant sage I love u) and sims (once again asking for a mysims reboot). I love reading and writing too - I will always appreciate a book recommendation! I love history and mythology as a whole and will usually be reading a book on either topic - I have a massive backload of books to read through at the moment. I love anime and manga, especially Sailor Moon, Witch Hat Atelier, Howl’s Moving Castle and Spy x Family.
I don’t have a DNI list currently and this may be subject to change - thankfully I haven’t came across too many people I’ve had to block on here and I’m hoping it stays that way! I don’t really post or reblog NSFW content and would love for this blog to feel like a safe space for anyone reading however I would prefer that minors don’t send me direct messages. I don’t post politically on my blog but I am very much for equal rights and opportunities, fighting for justice for the oppressed, and believe in accessibility, tolerance, and respect for one another. In terms of readings, I cannot give you medical advice.
Aaaaaanyway thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my blog! I would love to make some likeminded friends so my asks and DMs are open! :)

Canon signs:
Beastboy:
As a kid I was always super conscious when it came to animals and insects- I would cry if a bug got squished because he was just chilling there why did he have to die??
I’ve always been really big into body mods, and have 20 tattoos and 4 piercings (snakebites, septum, labret, guages) which looking back is probably just me trying to modify my appearance at will like before
I’ve always gone through these phases of being vegetarian for months on end (usually stopping due to cost)
My favorite color is sage green and has been for a long time
Not as much of a canon sign but maybe? Every time I’d see him on screen my though was “this dude listens to mostly early 2000s club bangers and r&b” which I don’t think is ever mentioned but I felt it in my BONES
Bruno Madrigal:
I’ve always been kind of anxious, over explaining myself or trying to make myself smaller in the presence of others
I’ve been Wiccan/Pagan for forever now, mostly dealing with tarot and scrying
If other people ask me to read for them I always get uncomfortable and kind of play it off like “oh no I’m…not great at it. Sorry.”
I like to know things ahead of time, and sudden changes to the plan or day spook me
I’ve always been superstitious- knock on wood, cross my fingers etc
I used to run around telling “I’m a Tom boy” as a little girl, and would always be told no you aren’t…well they were right because I’m not a tomboy I’m a transman!
Lgbt canon:
Bruno was demiromantic and demisexual; also a trans man
Beastboy was super gay like 100% men only. Men who were cis, men who were afab- didn’t matter as long as they presented male. (Could be bias as his robin was his first and pretty much only love)

Summary: After today's victory, it's time to party! Let's hope that nobody else comes to rue the day.
Word Count: 1.2k
Rating: T
OCs featured: Lachlann Doherty ( @hphmmatthewluther ) Mathilde Coventry ( @camillejeaneshphm ) Frederick of Kent ( @that-scouse-wizard )
Taglist: @catohphm @gaygryffindorgal @magicallymalted
First Part - Second Part - Third Part - Fourth Part
The moment the foe had been vanquished, the king declared that the party must go on, and everybody, feeling relieved, had no trouble whatsoever on carrying on. A dance started, and everyone’s spirits were over the roof. Henriette smiled, watching her children play tag among them.
Fred appeared behind her, radiating hi usual warmth, kissing her cheek “You were wonderful out there, my love.”
“It was mostly Mr. Doherty.”
“No, it was not.”
She spun around and pecked him “Sneak away with me.”
Henriette blinked “Now?”
“Yes. I’ve missed you, and we won’t have a moment later. Please?”
“But we can’t leave the children unattended!”
Fred was about to concede when a voice she hadn’t heard in a long time reassured them “I’d be happy to watch them for you, my lady.”
The marriage whipped their heads to see a red head that they hadn’t seen in ten years “Go,” she insisted “your children will be in my care. Two hours shall suffice.”
Not taking chances, Fred whisked his wife away to another wing, one reserved for the royal family’s friends and lovers. The moment they were away from earshot, Freddie kissed Henriette fervently, picking her up “Geirmund!” She gasped, giggling like a silly teenager.
Their laughs were muffled after Fred opened the first door he spotted and closed it behind him, throwing his wife to bed, his shirt already on the floor “You heard our friend. We’ve got around two hours. Best to make them count.”
Henriette chuckled “Shut up and take me already.”
They rolled in the sheets, basking into the beautiful, stolen moment between them.
Brunhilda stood watch of Lady Henriette’s children, observing the merry scene in front of her, alongside keeping an eye on her own children. She chuckled, seeing how a clumsy little Louis tried to learn to dance from Dayana, who was already as graceful as herself.
However, the moment she saw a familiar blond hair, she froze “Come on, Sissy!” The little girl who greatly resembled her Mathilde cried “Before Sam spots us!”
Her heart hammered. They were here. She discreetly looked around the ballroom, and spotted Lachlann Doherty chatting with a duke, visibly bored by his hunting habits, perhaps. He looked up, and quickly spotted her. He had gotten taller, had gained muscle, grown his hair and the innocence in his beautiful eyes were gone, now replaced with sage and that fierceness that had beguiled her enough to give herself to him before her wedding. Excusing himself, he approached her, and she bowed “Mr. Doherty.”
“Bruna,” he marvelled “you haven’t aged a day. You look… as beautiful as I remember.”
“You have turned into a handsome man as well.”
He smiled “I’m glad my new look pleases you.”
She bit her lip “You always aimed to please.”
“That I do.”
They stood there, silent and processing the fact that she was here, before his eyes. He cleared his throat, washing away his last memory of her “Where is your husband? Again solving world hunger by himself?”
She bit a chuckle “Unfortunately, my dear husband has a stomachal issue.”
“Ah. How unfortunate.”
“Unfortunate indeed.”
A soft tune started playing, and Lam stretched out his hand “Dance with me.”
“What about your wife?”
“We shall greet her afterwards. She’s been asking about you.”
She gingerly took his hand and started dancing, as if ten years hadn’t gone by. It was a rather intimate tune, and often their hands grazed, their eyes never wavering from the other, as if the world ceased to exist. To finish, he spun her around and gently set her to the floor, their gazes still on one another. She was wearing a beautiful green dress, and her hair was up and visible by her thin veil, which didn’t conceal much of her powerful red.
Both clearing their throats, they abandoned the dancefloor and went towards Lady Mathilde, who had a baby Felix in her arms, cooing. Bruna’s heart melted at the sight. She was a formidable mother.
Mathilde looked up and brightened up “Bruna, Cherie!” She greeted her warmly, beaming. “Look at you, you don’t look a day over five and twenty!”
“You flatter me, dear.”
Just then, Dayana, Matilda and Louis came running, probably finishing playing tag. They stopped at the sight of their mother and quickly came by her side “Lord Lachlann, Lady Mathilde, these are my children; Dayana, Matilda and Louis.”
They all bowed and Mathilde’s gaze rested upon redheaded, little Matilda. Then, she looked at Bruna with fondness in her eyes “Are you the Mathilde I was named after, ma’am?”
“It seems I am.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet my namesake.”
Mathilde beamed and kissed her cheek “And I am happy that such a beauty was named after me.”
Matilda smiled bashfully and hid behind her mother’s skirt.
“You have lovely children, my lady.” Lachlann spoke.
“Thank you, my lord, they are my pride and joy.”
Lachlann beckoned his own children to come and introduced his to Bruna “These are my own; Caitlin, Sam, Simone and Fèlix.”
“Is she the Lady Bruna you always talk about, papa?”
Bruna raised her eyebrows and Lachlann cleared his throat “Yes, Caitlin, she is.” He gave her a look and she quickly took the hint.
“Ahem, well, we should let our children carry on playing! Dayana, darling, do keep your new friends entertained, and include the Dohertys to your playdate?”
“Yay!” Louis cheered “More friends!”
The eight of them ran off to where Henriette’s children had been playing. Lachlann and Mathilde shared a look before she offered “It seems like dinner will be ready soon. Would you like to sit with us and catch up?”
Bruna smiled genuinely “I’d love nothing more. I want to hear all about your adventures!”
Henriette and Frederick were cuddling, relishing on the passionate moment they had just shared. Looking at the direction of the sun, Frederick sighed “We ought to get going. Dinner shall be ready soon, and we’ve been away for a while.”
“As long as you tell me where did you throw off my stockings again.”
Fred smirked “Too focused on kissing you to remember,”
She playfully shoved him “You’re terrible!”
Both got dressed hastily and Henriette saw something move within the trees. She frowned.
“My love? The gong just rang. We have to move now, or else we’ll raise a few eyebrows.”
She shook it off “Right.”
They entered the room a few minutes before the monarchs and sighed in relief, sitting right where they had been assigned. She spotted Lady Brunhilda and smiled at her as a thank you, and saw her cozy in the table with Lord Lachlann and Lady Mathilde. She hoped to repay the favour soon.
The monarchs were announced and the usual protocol was made, and all started to dine and converse, talking about this morning. But Henriette had a feeling. Something was about to happen, she was sure. This day was far from over. Somehow, she knew.
Like clockwork, the doors slammed open, and a figure that they didn’t expect came to greet them, a malicious smile on its face. She looked at Betwixt, who was as shocked.
“Helloooooo, children! Guess who has misbehaved!”
A noble lady pointed at the monster and cried out “The Krampus!” Before fainting with shock.
“Shit.” Said Fred before readying his weapon.

Hey, Merms! 👋
You always do such a good job avoiding physical descriptions when writing the Y/N's, but lately I've been wondering: what kinds of clothes do you personally imagine them wearing? You once mentioned your "headcanons" for the kinds of perfume they might wear, and I thought that was super fun. Also, you always describe clothes so beautifully! The parts in something where Kenzo, Kihara, and Scribbles are going over the Hero Gala outfits are some of my favorites.
On that note, I'm especially curious about Scribbles' wardrobe, since Deku's poor fashion choices are always a point of major contention lol.
I love getting to play with clothing, in writing, because beyond just liking clothes, personally, narratively they serve such an important function in world/character-building. Clothes are so telling of a person! Which is why I find it so necessary to avoid it as much as humanly possible with a Y/N, unless there’s a narrative/meta reasoning for it (getting a new coat, scarf; being kitted out for a formal event. Indulging in high-end lingerie to showcase you do think about what you’re wearing, at least intimately, and thus giving you a reason to be judgemental of someone else’s poor tastes in fucking cargo pants). But okay, I’ll play. 👀 Putting everything under a cut, so those of our friends who don’t want the fun/fantasy of the Y/N they imagine ruined don’t have to see my subjective taste in fashion, LOL.
Let’s start off with my baby, Weedsy-woo.
Weeds would wear a lot of natural fibres, like 100% linen pants or dresses, woollen tops for the cooler months. Weeds was raised by Granddad, so Weed’s style would be unconsciously conservative, (high necklines, for example) especially on days when Weeds is working in the shop (which is most days lmao). Granddad was a practical man, though! So even though there’d be a unintentional romanticism in Weed’s choices (a lot of flowy cuts in the dresses and skirts), they’re made knowing that Weeds has to stand or work in them, and that they need to be comfortable and be able to handle, idk, getting wet from dripping flower ends, be about to get dirty and easily washable. There’d be a lot of soft colours (beiges and pale rosy pinks, sage greens) with the occasional vibrant pop of colour (a fun print of fluro pink and yellow and orange, for example, on a top maybe; or the red coat Akane gifts Weeds for Christmas, the yellow scarf from Katsuki). Once Katsuki comes into the picture and has carved out his own permanent space, some of his jackets would start appearing slung over a shop chair, or wrapped around Weeds in the early morning hours of the freezing warehouses of the flower markets.
Okay though, let’s talk my troublemarker Scribbles.
Scribbles is sloppy. Wide-leg men’s pants, fished out from a 200-yen bin at an op-shop. Old, well-worn band t-shirts that have given so much in slack they slip over the shoulder. A sarong from a little Bali-import store that Scribbles finds in Mum’s stuff, when Mum moves to New Zealand. Oversized mens shirts, fished out from that same op-shop, layered over crop tops and silky singlets. Scribbles would like cuts that show cleavage, because why spend good money on lingerie if you’re not going to show it off somehow?
But mostly, I don’t think Scribbles would really overthink things. Because Scribbles spends like, idk, 17 hours or something bent over a tablet/lightboard, trying to draw, the pieces Scribs wears have to be comfortable (cue the wide pants, the oversized shirts). Scribbles crawls out of bed at 8 am (after coming home at 4am), crawls into the first pair of pants that smell clean and then idk, a random top pulled from a basket, before throwing on on old painter’s overcoat, because the aircon can get kind of chilly. But because Scribbles is an artist (an artist raised by a model mother who adored fashion), Scribs has an unwitting eye for it—every piece in Scribble’s wardrobe can be mixed and matched. I’ve always, always, from day one imagined Scribbles to be the kind of Cool Girl that can make anything work, from sheer attitude alone, but I think the deck was stacked from the beginning for Scribs, too. I think it makes it doubly unfair that Scribbles is so mean about Deku’s choices LOL, because Scribbles just takes it for granted that of course people can dress well, so wtf is he doing with all those cheesy t-shirts? That kindergarten colour-blocking he has going on with the hero merch? Disgusting, pull yourself together, Deku.
#ofmermaidstories-asks#i enjoyed answering this one anon but now im worried scribbles isn’t cool enough to be as mean to deku as scribs is LOL#surrender-fic verse#passion for fashion: the dress-up tag
