so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

I’m 100% supportive of people becoming obsessed with a background character in something but when people start saying something is bad because those background characters don’t get any character development we gotta slow down a little

#not all people in stories are actually characters #they are not individuals but rather something that add the the landscape and helps set the stage #like sorry you’re obsessed with a guy who’s only purpose is to further the plot but pls remember all plots are contrived #someone made it up whatever that character did isn’t real and someone decided they do that it doesn’t just happen #one of my favorite types of characters is characters who are actually setting #my all time favorite example of this is in Toni Morrison’s A Mercy #the husband is introduced and given a full backstory and then in the first couple chapters he dies #because he as an individual didn’t matter the point of him being there was not to be developed #the point of him being there was because his initial existence is the only reason the actual characters interact #if this doesn’t make sense do not tell me I’m high and scared so im thinking about narrative structure and plot devices to calm down

The irony of Émilie leaving her rich, restrictive family to explore the world only to also restrict her kid to the house and a social group that’s just an extension of her own

#the show likes to focus on Gabriel being the one who kept Adrien home and denied school #but Emilie only died a little less than a year before the show started #and Gabriel was never portrayed as a controlling husband just a controlling father #so Émilie definitely helped on deciding to homeschool him #or at least didn’t do much to stop it #miraculous #mlb #miraculous ladybug #adrien agreste #emilie agreste #gabriel agreste #bad parenting #bad parent gabriel agreste #bad parent emilie agreste #I’m sure she was nice and loved Adrien #and I don’t really think this control came from the same place as Gabriel’s #but I do think how many times she failed to have a kid made her scared to lose this one too #and thus she tries to ‘protect’ him by putting him in a cage #but just bc I understand it doesn’t make it ok

i’m so very invested in ur naomi fic; it’s both kinda tragic but also very heartwarming to read abt her struggle to hold everything together but have so much determination to make everything work out, and i’m rooting for her so hard (even though i know she’ll be ok, it’s still that feeling, ya know?) all this to say i love ur version of her very much (and di is a delight tbh)

god the hits really don’t stop fucking coming do they.

#genuinely cannot take much more of this #i hit my limit about 4 weeks ago #and it just won’t fucking stop #coming up on six weeks of having varying levels of Horrors(tm) happening to me on a weekly basis #and sometimes multiple Horrors(tm) in a week #lost my job #my cat died #had an asbestos scare #my partner’s cat almost died #he had to have emergency surgery #and then when he came home had to go straight back to the emergency vet to have emergency surgery a second time bc they fucked up #had a huge fight with my partner bc oh yeah this whole time we’ve also been moving!!!#but there was some stupidly unnecessary drama around the security deposit/getting the old house clean #and this whole time while grieving and losing my income and all of this shit I am also still a disabled/chronically ill person #so I’m forcing my body to keep working through increasingly instense flare ups #on top of all of this we have a houseguest who has vastly overstayed their welcome.#they’ve been here for SIX WEEKS and are showing no signs of going home #so much shit has happened in the past six weeks that I don’t even know if I’m remembering all of it here in these tags #and now. I have been denied for unemployment and received a notice that I have to pay back what they already paid me #bc i ‘missed the deadline to verify my identity’#except they NEVER SENT ME THE IDENTITY VERIFICATION LETTER #I’ve been keeping an eye out for it and I’ve kept every letter I’ve received from them #nothing has the verification password.#I filed an appeal but the confirmation page said it could take weeks to get a hearing #so what the fuck am I supposed to do in the meantime #i wish I were fucking dead to be honest #that would be preferable to the last six weeks

Oh the urge to make a danganronpa au with the life series cast.

I have ideas but I need to wait until there’s a winner so I can have the 6 survivors and debate on who’s the protagonist, probably the 6th winner tbh. And so I know if there’s more new players or not.

Anyway I already have an idea for two murders, chapter 1 killer I know who and who possibly died (although the victim might be too obvious) and I know who’ll be the chapter 3 killer but I don’t think people will like the characterisation I have…

Yet again I need the series to finish before I make my decision lmao.
