So here’s my take on Him (PPG):

He’s the devil, we all know that and that’s why the viewer can’t know his real name, cuz it’s a a children’s cartoon. And as the devil himself, he isn’t female nor male. He’s both and neither, cuz he isn’t human nor from our world. I think when he’s calm, he puts on a feminine side, because usually calmness (niceness) used to be associated with being feminine and rage was associated with being masculine. He has a “he” pronoun, because we all know the “true nature” of a demon/ devil, which is evil and angry (masculine traits in old media). So “him” fits much better, because that’s what he “truly is”. He just hides under his feminine mask (as the devil would hide his true identity and seem charming).

He wasn’t supposed to be a queer caricature. (That’s not a fact, but I want to see it that way.) He was meant to represent an evil hiding under a disguise (like old cartoons usually did). However the community claimed Him because of his traits and because he’s a super cool villain. And a FRICKING icon. And I think people will forever view him as a queer character, so we might as well embrace him.

Lex Luthor was based on Trump. All Lex Luthor would be a great father fans subconsciosly want Trump as their daddy

Sorry, are you telling me a character that came out in April 1940 was based on Trump who was born in 1946? Now I am aware that there was a parallel drawn between Luthor and Trump in the 80s, but you dare to come into my space and tell me that a character that predates Trump by 6 whole years is based off of him is some timey wimey propaganda.

Stop super-imposing your political views on a character. Or rather, stop thinking of people as black and white since people are more than that.

Lex Luthor can be portrayed in ANY way since he’s fictional. So if I’d like to think that Lex’s ambition to be seen as better than Superman would have him set up a trust fund for Kon-El (Superboy) since biologically speaking the boy is half Lex half Superman, and Superman did not react well to having a son, I can. He won’t be a great father (he’d be an absentee one because he honestly does not know how to be a good father because he never had a good father figure.)

Because the beauty in re-imagining characters is that you can think they have more depth and motivations.

Trumps Tariffs are a joke Btw. take for example a shirt. Tariffs on foreign shirt > foreignmade shirt get more expensive > shirts made in the usa are expensive (because making them yourself instead of having modern slavery children in Bangladesh make them for you, shockingly, is more expensive) > the products are more expensive, the consumer does not win, inflation ensues. the same inflation, which trump promised to lower.

Oh yeah and also RIP democracy, the US’s democracy was already on a lifeline (looking at you voting districts, two party system and republican states trying to withhold voters)
