🥺🥺 anon. yeah even when i made a joke about it on twitter i was like “he’ll just be annoying jackson” lol. i totally agree, i think it’d be like the tad o’malley thing in s10 where people would want him to weigh in as an “expert” and he’d help out, but he’s got babies at home. the little one and the one that’s grown up now. it’s fun to think about how at this stage of life (s11 / post-revival) alien conspiracy might just be fun for them lol. they’re not chasing anymore; all they were chasing in the last finale was jackson, trying to make sure he was okay, and the last shot reveals that he is. they’ve got their family now. he’s writing something for huffpost and home for dinner i’m sure

#i’m glad CC never got his s12 even though i know he’d planned on it lol #as much as i don’t care for MSIV (never even watched it) i think the final lines being about their kids is fine. it’s always been about lov #and family #and as fucked up and convoluted as it became they have it now #in the end mulder just wanted to be their father in whatever capacity he could (that’s what his last lines are all about) and that’s #what matters now #it’s the ‘nothing else matters to me’ of the pilot but more hopeful because there’s more opportunity #this lost kid COULD be found #anyway moving on from aliens and conspiracies was always what it was ultimately going to be about and i think they did #but like i said that makes it fun to joke about now because this happening in their timeline would just be lighthearted #something aliens etc was never actually able to be when it was their white whale #asks #jackson
