hi there! fallout and poppy playtime ch.3 have not escaped my mind so i’m combining them. just imagine the factory moved to nevada-

in this au, the bombs would’ve dropped and, well, a while passed before the beginning events of new vegas sprung. valor would’ve stumbled in the factory, killed huggy and been recruited by poppy and then it goes on from there. valor would’ve met dogday afterwards.

valor is very much meant to be the protagonist of new vegas, rather than poppy playtime just to be clear! and i changed their courier number for reasons, it’ll hopefully make more sense.

anyway, i need more vengeful and angry dogday in the space so i made him that way. dw he’s very much a loveable guy.. just with some unhealthy doses of rage in him :)

I know this is like a “no harm no foul” situation and people are free to do whatever, but y’all we do not need to go through and find + name every single possible ship/character combination. Especially for characters who haven’t even shown up on screen yet. Like it is cool that we get to see and participate in the creation of ship names and all that, but trying to force a dynamic between characters for the sake of thorough cataloging kind takes the fun out of it idk (also, and this is coming from someone who really likes shipping, not every character needs to be shipped etc etc).

After talking with some friends about it one do them did point out that (and paraphrasing here) that it kinda feels like people are trying to brute force another Citrus to happen. But the thing is we already have Citrus, we don’t really need another.

Like I get why people are doing this, it is fun, especially when it’s a community wide effort, but it feels very clinical to me.

I’m seriously not sure if it’s because of the algorithm, or Oda’s 3 week break and fans are bored and suffering because of it, but it seems like Usopp has become more of (???) a person of interest in the fandom, very recently—for the wrong reasons. Maybe it’s because of my hyper-fixation on Usopp’s journey…I admit. Can’t even cross it out.

…So, maybe it is JUST me.

Maybe that’s why it seems like he’s a person of interest even more nowadays.

I am avoiding Reddit and Worstgen, but YouTube is testing my resolve. I use YouTube for other things besides One Piece analysis vids and whatnot.

Tamir’s Verse do post pro-Usopp videos, but even those bring forward slander in the comments that’s hard to look past, personally. There’s a video about how and WHY Usopp is the most disliked Strawhat! 🤯 I can’t watch Tamir’s Verse videos and shorts at all anymore.

And then there was a poll of “Who’s the Most Disliked Strawhat?” on my YouTube feed. Usopp had the second to the most votes. If “Other” hadn’t been an option/choice, he would have won. If the algorithm is gonna play mind games, can they give me the positive Usopp videos? Please?

This isn’t meant to be a rant at all.

But having to read that Usopp is “The Butt” of the Strawhats is kinda sh**ty. (This was in response to when I posted a comment in one of the vids. I said that Usopp was a nuanced and brave character).

But have no fear, I will forever argue against the harsh criticism. The harsh criticism and arguing won’t matter in a year. I know this. There’s the real world outside. I have to talk to someone about this…I know 😔.

Conclusively, I’m gonna go do some soul searching. I have an exam this week, and I’m experiencing writer’s block (currently writing a one-shot, writing Act 2 of an ongoing Usopp-centric fic)…and..

So, I’ll go and touch grass.

And I’m gonna give myself the hard challenge of not talking about Usopp for 1 week. You know what? Let’s give myself a bigger challenge. I won’t talk about Usopp for 2 weeks. But if that means not talking about Usopp, I’ll need to stop watching One Piece for 2 weeks, and writing fanfiction (even just updating the drafts) for 2 weeks... I’ll need to stay off YouTube, Reddit, and TUMBLR for 2 weeks... I’ll need to stay off Ao3 for 2 weeks…

I’ll have to clear my cache and delete all my tabs. I’ll have to avoid my email (I’ll unsubscribe from the YouTube messages I receive). I’ll reply to the last of my notifications…then…

2 weeks. 2 weeks. I’ll give it 2 weeks…

I can do this. Right? Right? I’m writing this to instill some discipline in me. I want to find a way to approach things differently, and not argue endlessly about nonsensical comments…I want to feel what it’s like to not participate.

Then I’ll come back to the fandom and be a little bit more positive and well rested. And I’ll contribute to all the nice things.

Alright I’ve had a lot of time to ponder wtf I was gonna answer this ask with. I really like Asmodeus’ character, especially when he’s allowed to ACTUALLY show other parts of himself other than ‘hypersexual queer-coded flirt.’ That is, unfortunately, a very limited number of times. I like him more gross and fucked up than a lot of people seem to.

Onto his characterization in the fandom……oh god where do I start…… this dude has the WORST characterization of any other fucking character. Worse than LUCIFER bad. There’s so many ways people misconstrue and twist his character it’s fucking insane.

To start with the one I see the most: the sterile gay friend approach…..can y’all knock this bullshit off guys I’m being dead serious lol. It’s bad enough that the only queer-coded male character is the LUST guy (Lucifer is not queer-coded, baiting and coding are different stop typing your reply) but y’all just had to make it worse by writing him as a sterile gay best friend to Mc in so many fucking fics. ASMODEUS IS BISEXUAL. THIS IS A BISEXUAL CHARACTER!!! ASMODEUS IS BISEXUAL AND HE IS INTERESTED BOTH SEXUALLY AND ROMANTICALLY IN MC!!! Stop this borderline-homophobic and biphobic bullshit I’m tired of it!! Asmo would not help Mc get ready to date another man lmao he would cling to their leg screaming and crying all the way there if he knew they were going on a date with anyone other than him.

Tying into that, there’s the weird…idk…ignoring(??) or babyification of Asmodeus’ bad traits. Like how he’s always seen as the victim or something. This dude is an manipulative little shit lol?? He hypnotizes people into getting frisky with him he isn’t a good person lmao. He even LAMENTS MULTIPLE TIMES about how he can’t hypnotize Mc into loving him like he sucks! He sucks super bad! And that makes him interesting! He has a massive ego and wants everything to be about himself and when it isn’t, he forces it to be so! He’s a demon guys lol.

Now, onto the complete OPPOSITE…the OVERsexualization of his character. Guys. Just because he is the avatar of lust….doesn’t mean he’s polyamorous or interested in open relationships. In fact, thinking that polyamory is even TIED to lust…is just weird? Not to mention, at ANY sign of Mc not being genuine interested in him, or that they have eyes for someone else, he gets like…deathly jealous lmao he is NOT gonna survive in a polycule. All of the guys in om seem pretty ill-fit to be in a poly relationship but ESPECIALLY Asmodeus lol.

In the end, I can’t tell people what to write lol. These are just things I find particularly annoying when looking at how people write and view him. Hopefully, it will at least get some people into thinking about how the writing of tropes and stereotypes into their work, especially regarding queer-coded characters, can harm real people.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but what program/tools do you use to draw? I would like to try participating in your DTFIYS and produce something reasonable since I adore your artwork and AU.

Oh I will gladly tell you EVERYTHING, I’ve always been happy whenever someone asks me how do I draw and what I use^^.

I use IbisPaint X mostly Cus it feels the most comfortable for me compared to other programs (for example I have Procreate but I don’t use it lol)

The first pic is all the standard brushes I use, for serious pictures I use the dip pen for lineart but for the Sparkling Sibling style I use felt tip pen. Airbrush for soft shade

As well as a lot of stamps to add some cute patterns to my drawings

I use these filters the most

But of course you don’t have to follow how I draw 1 on 1, it’s important to use what’s the most comfortable and convenient for you and your artstyle! I wish you luck on your drawing journey and I can’t wait to see what you’ll make for the DTFIYS ^^

He has like ten or more gifts wrapped and hidden at the house for him to open when they get back from their half day of shopping and whatever else Johnny wants to do. Of course, Daniel carried everything Johnny handed him and gave him his wallet at the very start.

Turns out he just wanted to sit on a beach with him after buying cheap shit at Target.

He buys a cake he knows Johnny will actually like and tells him how he adores him with the shamelessness of a man who’s known love his whole life.

And after he blows out candles, opens presents, and sends the guests off with a thousand shy thank yous, Daniel sits him back at the table for another present.

Sits a tiny box and a flatter rectangle one down.

"Just one more gift? Daniel, how can I ever repay you for any of this? I don’t dese—“

"Hush. You won’t ever have to. I couldn’t help myself. Open them up, sweetheart."

The small box makes Johnny’s heart pound, so he opens the larger one first and plucks out a dainty piece of lingerie, lavender, and a little see through. Almost a babydoll paired with panties.

"Want me to put this on now?"

"After you open the other gift."

Johnny nods, grabbing the tiny box and hesitating to open it. "You aren’t proposing, are you, LaRusso?"

Daniel laughs, shaking his head, and steps behind Johnny to rub his shoulders. "Of course not. It’ll be way different when I do that."

"When you do it, huh?"

Daniel sputters and smacks him over the head. "Shut up and open it!"

Johnny flicks the lid off instead of opening it like a normal person, smiling when it skids across the hardwood before looking down at what's inside.

A silver ring. Almost plain looking at first glance until you see the lightly colored engraved letters.

He swallows. Slipping it on his ring finger. Snug and perfect. "That’s…"
