WHY DO I LIKE LEONA???

Sorry for the long yap as usual but, I feel like every once in a while ppl ask me this very question and I feel like I have been in twst hell for so long it’s like ancient history now. VGBHNJMK

TBH I very strongly disliked Leona's character when he came on screen when I first started to play twst. I found Chapter 2 to be very flat compared to Chapter 1 and I had very little sympathy for him and his backstory. To me, it was clear he was just the "hot, brooding character" archetype and I had no interest in him whatsoever.

HOWEVER, when I became more active in the fandom, my friend @comingyourlugubriousness and others began to ship my Yuu with him as a joke bc of my said dislike. And, yeah I begin to write lil scenarios where they’d interact and challenged myself to make a logical way he would even be interested in my Yuu in the first place? 

THAT GOT ME THINKING and I saw how he used to be characterized in fics and stuff and I really just didn't agree??? Even to this day, I feel like some ppl go in two extremes with him. 1.) Where they wash down his personality in order for him to fit in into this “prince charming role" OR 2.) They make him the worst bastard ever, which can lead into certian problematic connotations.

When I went to write my own fics I had watched all of his vignettes and understood better what his true personality is. The main story does not do much to make him likable to a general audience sometimes IMO. And so I became interested in how and why so many ppl interpret his character so wrong?? (My opinion ofc)

And so my journey began as prob one of the biggest Leona apologists ever.

To answer the question better I guess. What do I LIKE about him?

I like him bc in order to enjoy him you really have to read between the lines and do your own work as a fan to find the intriguing parts of him! It's just fun!

I actually find him very relatable, his burnout and seemingly ultra competitive but still “work smarter” not harder attitude is something I gel with and feels very realistic for someone his age.

YES, I think his design is nice but honestly it's the least interesting thing about him to me. I will always enjoy long hair on men that's no secret. According to some friends I "have a type” but eh.

I like that he uses his sorta rude and grumpy ruse to scare ppl off. I  personally subscribe to the idea that underneath all that sass he's just a lil cantankerous grandpa stuck in a  20 year old’s body, who likes to yap about chess and dead languages. 

He’s a nerd and likes books.

He's a true hater. 💚

I feel like he'd never judge your appearance, for eating too much or being lazy.

I feel like he's a caretaker and would always look out for you.

I think he'd be a good teacher and big brother and a lot of his more amiable qualities remind me of my own S/O who is so, so smart and charismatic and who I love very much! 

I say "I think/feel" on a lot of this bc TBH the headcanons I have made for him over my time in the fandom are probably 80% the reason I like him, yk?

Honestly, I’ve just never had those kind of requests on here. I also am very bad about answering requests bc my brain is a goblin with a pencil who is very picky about what sparks my interest enough to push past the usual fog of writers block. But funny enough I used to run a Star Wars fanfic blog so I do have answers to these questions:

1.) I’m not opposed to doing scenarios/ head canons! Sometimes doing them is what sparks a full fic or it’s just fun to slow down and enjoy imagining things!

As for how many, to prevent burn out I’ll probs stick to 2 or 3 characters at a time. If someone requests more than 3, I’d probs pick the 3 that I had the better ideas for / knew the characters better

2.) Requesting different gendered readers. Full transparency, I’m a cisgender woman.

I feel most knowledgeable writing feminine presenting characters, as I can use my own experiences! That being said, I do write things to be gender neutral and can do that on request. As for writing for a male reader, I’m open to trying! It’s not in my realm of experience nor have I done it before, but if I got the right request, I’d be happy to try! (I just don’t want to not write to my usual standards and I especially don’t want to offend anyone because of my lack of knowledge!)

3.) I’ll write for any of the romanceable characters, except Minthara (haven’t been able to recruit her yet so I don’t know her)

I’m more likely to write for characters that I’m most attracted to such as Astarion, Halsin, Karlach, Gale, and Lae’zel.

4.) I won’t write graphic depictions of rape or suicidal. I will use mentions of trauma / mental health struggles in my writing, and I always mention them in my TW section. Not so much a problem in this phantom, but I also don’t write incest. Or inappropriate age gaps.

5.) I have never written a polyamorous relationship, but I’d be open to trying with the right prompt/request. I have a lot of love to go around, so I think I can do this.

6.)  when it comes to AU’s I mostly try to keep it in universe, and I will do what I call fix it fics. That way if the work I am trying to do takes place after the end of game, I can still have all my little guys because I refuse to believe that there’s not a happy ending for everybody. And if there isn’t one, I will create one. But I don’t really do coffee shop they use or flower shop use or anything that takes them out of the world that they are in.

7.) at the moment, I don’t write outright smut. It’s not because I don’t want to or can’t, I just don’t think I’m very good at it. I will use mentions of sex, heavy-handed, make out sessions, and honestly pretty much everything right up until the point of actual sex. So you request smut, but I might not be as quick to answer those others. Personally, I find the tension leading up to this smut the fun part to write and read.

8.) as for race/class of BG3 readers, I will try to keep it, usually fairly and ambiguous. Though, how I have written everything that I have written, even though I’ve only posted one thing, I, based all of my writing off how I played the game personally. So, if you have something specific in mind, you’ll have to specify in the request, or I will default to what I usually do. (Reference I love playing Rangers. They are my favorite, so I have knowledge of nature, survival and some medicinal skills) 

9.) as for kinks, I accept, I will accept anything in the ask box, even if I don’t write it. no kink shaming here as long as the kinks don’t fall under any of the things that I don’t write, which are listed in the above points

8. Do you listen to music while you write? If so, share a song that’s been inspiring you lately.

Mostly I use ambient noise generators! Lately it’s been a black noise generator, but I also really like thunderstorms xD

The exception is smut. Sometimes I’ll use ambient noise, but I also have a playlist~ I have no clue if any of the songs would work for anyone else, or what it is about them that makes me add them. But there you go!

I usually put it on shuffle, but the song I end up starting with most of the time is this one.

12. Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to?

So many!!!

One that’s cropped up multiple times in my ideas is Identity Porn, in a couple different iterations. (There’s the Stray & Red Hood fic I’ve talked about before, which is fully outlined whenever my brain decides to cooperate. There’s another in which Tim takes an alternate path to becoming a vigilante; a few Jason-meets-Caroline Hill fics bc I eat those up; etc.)

I also have abt 3 different Accidental Child Acquisition fics, including one that I have. Thoughts about. These Thoughts are unfortunately too vague to actually make something out of (despite the 3-4k words I wrote for it) tho so it’s probs going to keep sitting in the idea cellar.

Soulmates & Urban Fantasy (vampires; werewolves; & selkies so far) also crop up a bit xD

19. Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?

Ngl, I have only ever been in one fandom where I felt like I really had a handle on a specific character’s voice/characterization, & outside of that—

I dunno. I find all of them hard. But the reason I find the one character’s voice easier is because… I was in that fandom for like. 6 years, & p consistently producing fic, a lot of which was in his pov. PLUS I had a friend who loved him and loved talking analysis/characterization, so that helped a lot! Confidence came from practice, so maybe if I keep writing & reading meta & comics & such I’ll feel better about it xD

And then for easiest… I mean. Most of my fics are Jaytim, even in my drafts, & I end up defaulting to Jason’s pov a lot, so. I guess I’ll say him xD

Ah, thank you!! I’m happy that my work brings you joy and inspires you 🥺 I’ve (unfortunately) been in a big mental health rut myself recently, so I really appreciate the feedback and completely understand how that can destroy one’s motivation to create 💦

I’d say start off with short pieces, even if it’s something as small as a paragraph or even a few lines of dialogue. You can try using writing prompt generators to get yourself started. Alternatively, you could do a random character generator; throw in some TWST characters and see which groups get spat back out, then try doing an exercise in imagination on how those characters would interact with one another. You can also google random images and try to write a short story out of whatever out of context pictures you find most interesting.

You want to slowly ease yourself back into writing, not force yourself to suddenly take on a big project or a ton of requests. Don’t set deadlines, just create at your own pace and for the fun of it!! Another thing to keep in mind is that you should feel excited to write, so try to create something that you find a lot of happiness in. That will help motivate you and give you the energy you need to write!! (I know that when I get excited to write something, I’ll lose sleep to keep working on it and I won’t feel tired at all 😅)

The overall concept of the AU was so silly but also rlly compelling,,,and the ultimate outcome of their arcs iguess was cool2 me :] Kittle’s redemption and Player’s complete shift in Ep2 were both great :]

Freeman,,,! I initially figured his character wouldn’t change very much and would mostly just serve as liek,,, a foil to all the absurd characters rhat surrounded him, but I was pleasantly surprised and Very excited to see that he had a lot more to him!!!! :D and was rlly prominent in the story !!!!! Esp him in Ep2!!!!!!!!!!! iwanna write more sobad but I keep getting distracted sndliie I may need to skim thru everything again as a refresher,, ihave So many thoughts ,,,,cant form them 💔

Swap is all that’s left!!! It wss so hard for me to put them at 5 becos I rlly like them but I had nochoic e ,,, swap AUs r always so iconic burlike,,, unlike most others from other fandoms, this roleswap AU introduced lots of unique elements to the stories and characters that it became way more than just “what if this character had the opposite outfit and personality!” Which I REALLY appreciate and enjoyed a lot in the story,, esp when it came to Swap themself!!!! i just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your writing!!

the past month has been really really rough for me and the only thing thats gotten me through is reading your work.... i ummm might actually have read through every single work you have on ao3 😅 the way you write is just incredible, i love the personal touch added to everything you write.

its funny because i think you truly excel at writing novels with detailed lore and backstories but my favourites are the cute domestic ones where theyre just neighbours or roommates or whatever. the way you write apartment living is so obviously drawn for your own real perspective in the best way possible and feels so real that i couldnt help but constantly agree with everything you were saying.

your dialog is so natural and fluid i often forget im reading tbh and you never write perfect people, theyre always realistic and fucked up and flawed and amazing. i always believe the world you write around them, and i constantly found myself at the edge of my seat at 5am desperate to know how the fuck they would fix everything.

i appreciate that you take the time to add the trigger warnings in the notes of each chapter, i always felt like i was prepared for what was ahead, or if something was too heavy before going in so i could walk away or go to sleep until i was slightly more ready.

i have maybe accidentally left a few essays in the comments of some of your fics already but i just wanted to let you know at the end of my journey (for now until you write more because frankly im obsessed and will probs go reread something after this just to fill the void) how much your writing has meant to me <3 thank you so much i cant imagine the amount of time, effort and love goes into writing so many full-length novels for free in such a short time span <3

Fenrys pressed his hand to the wound in his side, feeling the slow pump of blood seeping between his fingers as he stumbled through the woods. He had won the fight. The other guy now lying in the dirt, however not without consequence. And he wasn’t entirely sure he would stay alive unless he could find a healer soon.

He stopped to lean against a tree, breathing heavily as he held himself together. He transformed into a wolf, moving faster, and trying to pick up a scent, any scent, that could possibly help him, when he caught the sweetest smell he ever had. It was a female, smelling like peonies and blackberries, sweet but with an underlying smoky smell. She smelled of long days in flowers fields and even longer nights beside campfires, evenings spent curled in hand woven blankets and mornings spent drinking dark coffee and eating sweet toast.

He whimpered and began running in the direction of the scent. If he wasn’t so focused on not bleeding out he may have stopped to consider why the scent was pulling him in the way it did. He would have considered the direction he was running into, the direction of his future, his past and his present. But he just kept up, going as fast as his injured body would allow, concentrating on the sweet smell and putting one foot in front of the other.

He felt the change almost immediately, the cold snow and rough bark being swapped for cool moss. The pine trees swapped for tall, oak trees teeming with life. The silence of a frozen forest swapped for the rustling of bushes as nocturnal animals moved silently under the guise of darkness. The chill of the snow-covered woods swapped for the warmth of a summer evening. He pushed between two bushes and found himself facing a clearing, in the middle of which stood a wooden cottage, the wood dark and the roof covered in more moss, flowers growing from every surface and ivy peeking out of the crevices in the house. He stumbled down the path to the cottage, turning back into a male and crossing a small bridge over a stream that separated him from the intoxicating scent he chased.

He let out what he could only describe as a bark, calling for the female that carried the scent he was growing addicted to, collapsing onto his knees, feeling his conscious fade as he held to the side of his stomach, searing pain replaced by fiery veins as his head swayed. He barely heard the door open, only noticing the scent get so much stronger. He attempted to look up, the movement making his head spin as he collapsed, the last thing he saw, a girl in the halo of the moon.

Fenrys awoke in a foreign bed. An unbelievably comfortable bed, but foreign all the same. He pushed up on his forearms, gritting his teeth at the reminder of his wound.

The room he was in was dark, not just in light source, but also in décor. The window was cracked open with lacy curtains half closed, there was a tall bookshelf sat next to a desk with leather-bound books lining it, and tall candles flickering and casting the room in a golden glow. The bed he was in was small, clearly just for one, but so soft. He had blankets surrounding him and copious amounts of pillows, some that appeared hand made. In fact, upon closer inspection, a lot of the room looked handmade. Art covering the walls depicting crying women or bloody scenes that he presumed had been done by the owner of this house, given the pallet and assortment of brushed he saw on the windowsill.

And then there was that scent. It was stronger here and he pressed his face into a pillow tentatively, breathing in through his nose as he picked up on the deeper undertones. Fresh picked daisies, melted wax, the pages of old, worn books and something he couldn’t describe. Something so intoxicating he felt tears spring to his eyes, his body reacting in an unheard-of way, so overcome with emotion from scent alone.

He heard footsteps approaching the closed door and hastily put down the pillow, sitting up straight and readying himself to fight whoever it was if they were an intruder. But when you entered he faltered.

Mate. The word clanged through him as he came face to face with an angel. You were wearing a dark brown broderie dress with white hearts lining the hem, your feet bare and toenails painted black. Your hair was falling around your face, messy and untamed, and you had dark smudges around your eyes, makeup that accentuated your features and made you look like a character from the scary books he read as a boy. However right now you looked more like a teddy bear.

He briefly remembered the tail of a witch he had read. An evil witch who lured men into her house with whispered words and sweet kisses, only to steal their hearts and use their blood to keep her skin young and eyes bright. This girl however was no witch, you had elegantly pointed ears and a graceful way of moving that only came from being Fae. He watched as you moved to his side, silent on your feet, putting a tray down beside him before moving an opening the curtains further, letting in more natural light.

“How are you feeling?” your sweet voice interrupted his thoughts. His mind coming to a halt as he heard you speak.

“I- er fine..?” His voice was rough, and you smiled, a reserved smile. Moving to his side and sitting at the edge of the small bed he was on, pouring him a glass of water from a small decanter you had brought through.

“(Y/n.)” you answered his unspoken question.

“Fenrys.”

He muttered a thanks as you passed the glass to him, noting the crystals that hung around your neck and adorned your fingers.

“Crystals?” he asked, and you looked down, playing with the rings you wore nervously.

“My mother taught me about their meanings, they’ve always helped me.” You bit your lip and Fenrys decided he would never meet anyone as cute as you again, it simply wasn’t possible.

“Me too, my mother used to carry them everywhere.” You smiled at him shyly, a beat of silence passing between the two of you as he listened to the birds outside.

“Can I see your wound? I want it make sure it’s healing properly.” You asked and he nodded, pulling the blankets down slightly, grinning as your eyes widened as you took in his physique.

“I’m presuming you’re the healer I have to thank for letting me see another day.” He flirted playfully but you shook your head,

“I’m not a very good healer I’m sorry, but I did stitch it up and it should do the rest itself.” You pressed gentle fingers against the skin surrounding his wound and he glanced down, seeing it was already practically healed.

“You still saved my life.” He said, completely serious and you looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes.

“I’ll let you rest.” You said quietly, standing to walk away and he smiled, feeling more at ease than he ever had since the war, watching his little mate leave.

He woke up again a few hours later, wound completely healed and puckering into a scar. Standing he stretched his arms above his head, not bothering with a shirt as he left the room in search of the girl that had occupied his dreams.

The rest of the house was alike your room, tall candles and worn books everywhere. He passed a kitchen filled with copper utensils and a living room with an old armchair, a half-filled mug left next to it, but still no you. He saw the front door was cracked open and wandered over to it, pulling it open and stepping into the fresh air, barely feeling the chill on his body as he found you kneeling on the moss-covered ground facing away from him.

You were muttering under your breath and as he got closer he saw you were cradling a small bird with a broken wing. He watched as you closed your eyes, the ground and air seeming to still as you called upon your magic, a soft white light flowing from your hand into the bird until its wing was healed and it could flutter away.

“I thought you said you weren’t a healer,” he broke the silence and you turned to him with a small smile.

“I said I wasn’t a very good healer.” You replied, standing with green stained knees, your hair now piled atop your head and lip gloss coating your soft lips.

“What are you then?” he came closer to you, unable to resist holding his mate, even if you weren’t aware yet.

“My mother said we were natural faeries.” You said, looking at him shyly, “we derive our power from the earth, crystals, sea water, dirt, fire, stuff like that.”

He hummed, “So technically you could have any type of magic?”

“I guess, but I’m not very good at magic,” you muttered, hands fiddling with your rings again as he wrapped his arms around your waist. “Fenrys?” you asked, all pouty lips and wide eyes.

“Have you realised yet darling?” he asked, and you bit your lip. He knew he could tell you, but he wanted to hear you say it.

“I- we’re mates I think.” You were practically shaking, and he didn’t know why he suddenly had this burning desire to scoop you into his arms and protect you against the horrible world that was out there. He nodded with a smile, watching as awe took over your stunning face.

“Can I kiss you princess?” he asked, and you felt your face heat up, looking down as he pulled you closer. “Have you ever been kissed before angel?” he asked, his face hurting from the grin that was spreading over his face when you shook your head.

He tilted your head up to his, looking deeply into your eyes as your breaths came out quicker. “Not many people can find our cottage, my mother put up wards when she got ill, our family wasn’t well liked by the king. You probably only got here because we’re mates,” You muttered.

“Can I kiss you?” he asked again, running a soft hand over your head, smoothing your hair away from your face as you nodded sweetly.

He smiled before leaning down and kissing you gently. Pulling away and feeling as smug as a thief when your lips followed his, pouting at the loss of contact so quickly. He chuckled at your put out expression and leaned down to kiss you again, deeper this time, his tongue slipping into your mouth when you gasped against his lips, quickly beating your own in a battle for dominance and taking his time exploring your mouth.

He laid you down that morning and took you for the first time in the soft moss. Then again in your even softer bed. Now you were sitting in his lap, eating strawberries of a bush you had in your back garden as he pressed dizzying kisses into your neck, both of you still as bare as the day you were born, Fenrys having forgot how much he missed skin to skin contact, when you suddenly remembered.

“Fenrys?” he hummed in response, completely enamoured with the feel of your soft skin against his rough calluses. “Why were you hurt last night?”

“I didn’t tell you my job did I angel?” he asked, the pet name making you giggle as you shook your head, “I work for the queen of Terrasen.”

You gasped, “But she was killed!”

“Oh angel, when was the last time you left this cottage?” he asked, worry coming over him as he realised you had been holed up alone for so long.

“Not since my mother died. She said the king was dangerous and that he would hurt me if he found me,” your bottom lip was wobbling and Fenrys quickly kissed it away, shushing you as it dawned on him just how innocent his little girl was.

“No baby, he’s gone now, the new king of Adarlan is a very kind man and the Queen of Terrasen is wonderful,” he promised, “Will you let me take you to meet them?”

You nodded enthusiastically, bouncing slightly in his lap making him groan. He nipped at your ear lobe and you squealed as he pushed you down. You could meet them another day, today he was too busy with his little mate.

GenoSai: do I even have to say it?? They compliment each other so well and are already besties. They make me so happy and I love their love. Genos literally came into Saitama’s life and brought so much new life and excitement when Saitama thought he’d never get any. Genos gives him love and appreciation all the time and never abandons him. Saitama isn’t connected to his feelings, but he cares about Genos and would do just about anything for him, to keep him safe. Genos constantly teases Saitama and Saitama grumbles and takes it with some banter, Genos is super emotional and Saitama does his best to comfort him, they fucking love shopping together and just hanging out period, they talk about the dumbest shit and somehow they still understand each other with the one brain cell they both share. It takes Genos forever to realize his feelings are deeper and Saitama has to be TOLD by their friends that he should fucking realize his feelings already. Just...I could keep going but I’ll stop! 2718873737839439/10 (let’s not talk about the age gap btw, 6 years isn’t bad and Genos is a legal adult.)

FubuSai: the stereotypical straight ship ppl gravitate to. Eh. I can see it, but at the same time I feel like they don’t completely compliment each other. Are they a hot couple? Duh. But I feel like their pride and communication issues would get in the way. 4/10

TatsuSai: hnghhhh. Someone mentioned this before, can’t remember who, but Saitama literally thinks she’s a child in canon. So that just....makes it gross. Same problems as FubuSai but worse. I’d rather see them as hesitant friends w a weird bond. 0/10

SonSai/SonicSai/idk the ship name: eh, toxic. Cant see them getting past communication issues and pride, again. Plus Sonic wants to kill his ass. Also, I just feel no romantic tension?? Even in fanfic it just falls flat for me. 3/10

MumenSai: a favorite!! Wish I saw it more, it’s very cute. Mumen is so kind and would absolutely be there to help him w self esteem and just help him be a better person period. And Saitama would have a cute little kind guy to tease and open up to. I could maybe see Mumen’s kindness getting on Saitama’s nerves when he’s in a bad mood bc Mumen almost never snaps and Saitama feels shittier, or maybe Mumen being mad at Saitama for being kinda lazy at home while Mumen is working his ass off and he’s like babe I just got home, please stop playing the fucking game and pay attention to me I have a concussion again. Prob too nitpicky on this one, heh, but 8.4/10

Genos x Sonic: wtf? As a crack ship, sure. That’s hilarious. But as a serious ship, 1.3/10 bc I could MAYBE see them bond over their love of my chemical romance or sum.

TatsuKing: eh. Indifferent on this one too. I can see them getting along and Tatsu being the mean but supportive gf in public, but a sweet gf in private. King could be like her calm oasis of video games and sweet blonde shy bf. I sway more towards ace/aro King and queer non binary Tatsu, but this is still good. 6/10

FubuPsy/Fubuki x Psykos/idk: hell yeah!! This series NEEDS more wlw ships, both for me to project onto and to cry over. Prob my fav Fubuki ship, cuz they’ve known each other since they were young and had a tenuous friendship. I didn’t use to ship it until I saw that scene in the wc after the MA arc (u know the one) but here we are. They’re big personalities so any interaction is bound to be chaotic at first, but I really think they’d work. Pride put to the side, Psykos could be someone for Fubuki to finally rely on other than the Blizzard Bunch, someone to confide in, a badass partner to fight monsters with, talk about nothing for hours with, be a super fashionable #girlboss couple with, and someone who would really see her for who she is-especially w Psykos knowledge of her from the past. Hell, Psykos might even know her better than Tatsumaki. Fubuki could be an anchor to her like she currently is in the wc, providing a quiet comfort and making her open up little by little. Would prob be toxic at first bc of the MA arc and their desire for power, but is a very good ship I think. 9/10

Speedal/Sonic x Mumen: an old fav! Sonic would have a hard time not hating Mumen at first bc he’s the picture definition of a hero, sum he hates. But hanging out with him would show him Mumen is a GOOD guy genuinely and he’d be like ohhhh shit I’m in love w this man. Mumen would thoroughly appreciate someone to make him live a little, break some rules and stand up to ppl when they talk over him. He’d DEFINITELY be upset when finding out Sonic is an assassin, but would prob be conflicted bc he knows Sonic is a good person despite that. Would prob make Sonic give up on killing for them to be together. Sucks bc of the assassin thing and bc they haven’t met in canon! So we’re not sure how they’d interact with each other, sigh. 7.4/10

Okamaitachi x Bushidrill: a very underrated ship! To be clear, I headcanon Kama as a trans woman and so does most of the fandom. Anyway, very sweet and already built as a friendship bc of their partnership under Atomic Samurai. I can’t remember who writes fic and makes art of them on tumblr but AAAAA it’s so good! Very sweet. Basically depicted Bushi as a nervous himbo who’s honest about his feelings but scared to say them and Kama as a sweet lady who’s crazy about Bushi. Very sweet. Want more of them!! 6.1/10

OneZon/Zombieman x One Shotter: never even thought of the ship till I saw @megidolan art work! Very wholesome, and from what little we know of Shotter we know he’s a sort of nervous yet strong willed guy, and Zombieman would totally help him calm down bc he’s so chill. I could see them sharing cigarettes and talking shit on heroes while cuddling u know? 7/10 only because I don’t see enough of it but very good concept.

Mumarou/Mumen x Garou: a lot of ppl are gonna hate me for this but....I don’t like it. I’ve tried! I just—idk. I’ve read so many good fics about them that make me like it a bit, but the concept is just eh. I think their relationship is, in most reps, really cliche angsty stuff. I wish I could elaborate I just...gah! Basically, there’s better ships for the both of them imo. Sorry!! 4.3/10

Sonic x Flashy/SonFlash: yes!! Prob my fav Sonic ship. They have soooo much tension, it’s almost worse than Genos’ tension w Saitama. Flashy LITERALLY poisoned Sonic so that he wouldn’t be forced to kill him at the ninja graduation. He cares. They’ll never say it out loud, but they care. They have someone who understands what they went through in each other and someone they’re both so similar to, yet so different from. Sonic is more vocal about his expressions and let’s people know it while Flashy often keeps things to himself, they could really influence the other to be more this or that. I could see a lot of comfort with these two, and not much is needed for relationship development; they already have so much unspoken between them after meeting for the first time in years. Love it. Wish I saw it more! 10/11

KingSai: wonderful! Out of the few ppl Saitama is close to, def my second fav pick for a ship for him. There’s a post saying how Saitama doesn’t cut King off when he’s going on rants about games and stuff bc he’s talking TO Saitama, not at him like Genos tends to do on accident. They’re already great buddies! Saitama could find a shy gamer man who he can talk to about manga and stuff and also a passionate bf who could break out of his shell w Saitama and be himself with no lies. King can have someone to protect him, duh, someone who finally understands his weird sense of humor, and someone to shower him in the love and kindness he deserves when Saitama is in the mood to be all out like that w his affections. Plus he’s Saitama’s anchor and brings him back down when he’s super anxious and depressed and tells him what’s up that he needs to fix without sugarcoating it. Would def have a bunch of inside jokes and go on dates that are just staying inside playing video games all night. Domestic af. 10/10

Fubuki x Mizuki: my first wlw Fubuki ship! Hard to find but very good. Mizuki is this big ball of kindness, energy, and raw power that would make Fubuki go ‘Ohhhhhhh, big pretty lady make brain go brrr.’ I could see Mizuki grounding Fubuki when she’s in over her head, giving her random gifts bc she saw sum and thought of her, doing a marathon run and wildly waving at Fubuki in the crowd, and all around being a dependable woman confident in herself and in love with a mysterious esper. Prob a little shy when it comes to anything physical bc she loves Fubuki so much and is overwhelmed by the realness of being w her. Fubuki gives Mizuki advice on ‘acting like a proper hero’ or whatever and though Mizuki thinks she doesn’t need it, Fubuki still helps her a lot w her career and being taken more seriously by others. Would give Mizuki someone who loves her for who she is and would go wild on her in private when she can be open about her affection, would be someone Mizuki could exercise with and listen intently to Mizuki’s physical knowledge, and would absolutely bandage her when she’s all banged up. Hnghh love this ship. It’s only behind the FubuPsy ship juuuuust a little bc they haven’t met in canon so we can’t be sure about their interactions and stuff. 8.8/10, I love WOMEN

Batarou: how could I go this far without mentioning them?! They have SOOOO much tension in the centichoro fight, like come on. Both snarky assholes who are huge softies one the inside, Badd being the more logical one (still a himbo, tho) and Garou being the more chaotic one. Probably take forever to admit their feelings bc they’re so prideful and stupid <3 flirt through constant wrestling matches and it takes Genos saying ‘they should kiss already, they’re getting on his nerves’ for them to finally realize what’s up. (@rayadraws has a great au where Garou Genos and Badd are a chaotic friend squad and Genos is the only brain of the group, haha. Very good au y’all check it out!) Would constantly pick on each other affectionately and switch into concerned SO when the other is hurt like the big teddy bears they are. Raise Zenko together for sure. Garou would fumble being romantic and Badd would find it both hilarious and cute. 11/12

Zombie mask/Amai x Zombieman:

So. I don’t like Amai Mask and I used to hate him, BUT the webcomic and fic have really helped me calm down on him (he’s still a dick tho), so it’s easier to want to ship him and stuff. Bc of Amai’s anger issues and controlling behavior, I could see this relationship being super toxic and icky—but I think they have some form of understanding that pulls Amai back from being a complete dick, you know? Start off as fuck buddies and slowly form something else from spending companionable time together other than screwing. Zombieman pulls Amai back from his angry fits and soothes him over with his logic. Talk maaaaaad shit about heroes, but only when they’re alone because Zombieman knows Amai will talk loud af about the heroes they’re roasting and Zombie doesn’t wanna stop a fight from happening. Zombieman loves making Amai flustered and has a secret check list in his head of all the things that get Amai red faced. Loves to listen to Amai rant about things for hours and loves to watch his face go through almost cartoon like expressions as he talks. He won’t admit it, but Zombie loves to be spoiled by Amai’s shit tons of cash and often takes rides in Amai’s limos when he wants to smoke and think to himself. Amai has a hard time realizing how his feelings have changed, but gets hit hard with it when he wakes up to Zombie making them breakfast one morning while wearing Amai’s underwear. Amai also loves to spoil Zombie and takes him out to restaurants and buys him cool new weapons on the weekends. @batneko has pretty much gotten me into this ship and I strongly suggest looking at their works! 7.9/10

DemonKnight/Genos x Zero/Drive Knight: I’m pretty sure this used to be a crack ship before the past like 10 manga chapters—and now here we are! Not a fav bc 1. ZERO LEFT GENOS TO SELF DESTRUCT AFTER THEY COMBINED TO FORM THE FUCKING JET HE WAS JUST LIKE lol bye SO LIKE if he left him to die that’s super hard for me to forgive and ship grrr 2. Disregarding the manga’s canon and looking at the wc, while I love the little trip they went on where Zero demonstrated his abilities and helped Genos kill monsters, it’s super sus. He knew alllll of this info on Metal Knight and was super supportive and understanding when Genos said he needed time to think. Like,,,what are his intentions? We know so little about him—is he trying to trick Genos or was he being sincere? THAT STUFF ASIDE, they’re a really fun ship. They’re both huge fucking nerds and can keep up with their talk on robotics for hours, they’re both cyborgs so they understand each other’s pain, and they’re both super cool and angsty. I think they could really settle into a deep bond that can go platonic or romantic, just depends. Genos needs more ppl in his life so hell yeah! Plus, he can really let go with Zero bc they don’t have that teacher/student relationship and Zero, if he’s really a sincere and kind guy like in the wc, can be there for Genos and listen to him. Webuiko/Suiko x Webigaza: YEAH I KNOW THEY HAVENT INTERACTED IN CANON AND WE DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM BUT HEAR ME OUT. Webigaza—cool af determined cyborg idol who’s surprisingly down to earth when talking with Child Emperor. Suiko—sassy and honest fighter who doesn’t take shit and is very passionate. Suiko would go to talk to Web then immediately freak out bc aaaa she’s way prettier than she thought, she can’t do this! Web would have to gently encourage Suiko to talk and at first is like ‘ah man, must be an adoring fan, ugh I’m so tired. At least she’s hot’ but when Suiko snaps out of her shyness Web is like oh! She’s super cool wtf. Always bump into each other during fights and help each other get fixed up, Suiko using her muscle power to lift Web’s pieces (and give Web a great view of Suiko’s muscles holy SHIT) and Web would patch Suiko up. Not to be stereotypical, but they’re def a masc/femme couple. I love the idea of this ship soooo much and I really hope they interact! 6.6/10 only bc they haven’t met 😭😭😭 look them up on here! Dr. Kuseno x Bang: pretty sure @baldyborg came up with this one! Super cute. Just two old dudes finding a nice friendship in each other, maybe after Bang helps carry Genos to Kuseno’s after a day of fighting. Bang would find Kuseno to be a very cute little nerd man and would be sooo impressed by Kuseno’s mad scientist skills. Kuseno would be super impressed when seeing Bang in action too. They’d prob talk as soon as they meet each other and Genos would be in the background like you guys it’s been an hour, please fix me I’m on the verge of death 🧍🏻Bang would give Kuseno advice on training techniques to teach Genos and advice on making his bodies more martial arts ready or sum, meanwhile Kuseno would give his take on how to be kinder to Garou so that Bang would learn to repair the relationship with a gentleness he’s seemingly lacking (yes I’m talking about the chapter where he and Garou start fighting and Bang is just not doing enough to reach out to Garou, he’s being a callous old man! So yeah I’m still mad about that). Genos and Saitama would prob be out on a date and Saitama would be like oh theres Bang, wonder what he’s doing? Then Kuseno would walk up and kiss Bang and Genos and Sai would be shocked like SIRS 👬 Genos would tell Bang he doesn’t need another adoptive dad and Bang would be like....ok.... I see them retiring in a cottage together and Bang would become a huge softie. Yes I’m actively ignoring chapter 141 of the wc, shut up. 7.6/10

TankTop master x Mumen: they have a nice friendship going on in the manga right now! Just bros supporting bros. Tank is the picture definition of a muscly himbo and Mumen is his cute passionate bf. Also workout buddies af!! Don’t have much to say other than pretty good ship, just not a fav. 5.2/10

What made you ship it?

Honestly this is probs among my favorite stories to tell for this question? I saw the ship floating around the fandom a lot, and I was like “you know what I can actually kinda see it?” I also read one very good fic on it. So I decided to write it into Locked Out, not necessarily because I was so passionate about it at the time, but more because I thought “okay why not”. And then I got around to writing a bunch of scenes that you guys won’t see for a while because I’m slow as fuck and it just… worked? I played with their personalities in scenes and had them bounce a bit of dialogue off of each other, and they just work. I’m not even kidding you guys, I watched them fall in love on my screen, just like that, and it was natural and honestly one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced? Was kinda similar with Jerbric too (I’ll talk more about that once that gets it’s own ask), and honestly? I hope other people get this experience with some of their ships too, it’s something so special to just watch characters fall for each other like that.

I never expected to like this as much as I do now? But I just… love it so much? They work and they’re so good for each other and *sob*

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Opposites attract is also always fun, I’m just a huge sucker for ships that work not in spite of, but because of their differences :)

They’re both strong-willed and stubborn if need be. Viney is the one person that can get Emira to open up. Emira is the one person that can get Viney to put herself first for once. They also feel like the type of people who would openly flirt with each other for a while, which is a fun change of pace. On that note, cool and collected Em turning into a nervous flustered mess whenever Viney compliments her because she just can’t handle compliments from her crush.

I live for their height difference. I feel like Em would adore Viney’s morbid sense of humor and definitely play along (while Jerbo and Edric stare at both of them like “what the hell is wrong with you too”, lol). They’ll passionately argue about their favorite TV shows for half an hour and then resolve the argument by ignoring it to make out.

They’re very supportive of each other, but can be petty as hell about it sometimes, which I love. Em’s incredibly sick of being seen as nothing but a twin, and Viney is the first person that makes her feel truly seen, which is something she really needs. Viney is also not afraid to call Em out on her bullshit if need-be.

Viney struggles to put herself first, she will set herself on fire to keep her friends warm and her girlfriend isn’t having it. Emira does a lot in teaching Viney that it’s okay and important to put herself first sometimes. She makes Viney her number one priority whenever she feels like her girlfriend is failing to do so herself despite needing it. She also encourages Viney’s goals and regularly gifts her text books and stuff. Also way too many things in general.

Puddles pretty much immediately takes a liking to Emira thanks to being a good judge of character, but Emira still tries really hard to get Puddles to like her. Viney finds it very sweet.

After a while, Em allows herself to be super soft and open around Viney in a way she isn’t with anyone else. She struggles with being vulnerable and just straight up denies that she is a lot of the time, but Viney is very vocal about how much she loves that part of her and it really helps Em embrace it a lot more.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

It has too many ship names 😂

I haven’t seen that outside of my own fic yet, so I’m assuming this is unpopular, but I love the thought of Viney being Emira’s childhood crush that Em never quite seems to get over.

I haven’t seen this a ton either, but I feel like Viney wouldn’t think too highly of Emira at first because school is everything to Viney and she works her ass off and still gets in trouble for basically existing, while the twins constantly skip and get away with it because of who their parents are. Essentially, Em represents everything Viney hates about the established system, so she’s not very impressed at first, lol.

For Em, on the other hand, Viney represents a kind of freedom she knows she can never have, but she admires that and longs for that and it just draws her to Viney even more (even if she may be too nervous to talk to her for a pretty long time).

Neither is really aware of the repercussions the other person’s “benefits” have, and their minds change a lot upon actually getting to know each other (classic “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”-story).

how did you get into writing if i may ask? i have so many fic scenarios in my head but when i consider writing, i freeze and it's literally my current major and bachelor 🤦🏻‍♀️

hey ! haha I love this question because I was literally just like that too 😂 I majored in English when I got my bachelors and at the time I was incapable of writing creatively !

This is prob gonna be a long answer, so I’ll put a read more for those not curious 😂

TLDR: I’ve been writing my whole life ! It started with my love of fanfiction ♡

I got into writing because as a kid fanfiction was my only escape ! I prob started reading at around 11 years old, and it was all for yyh of course 😂 I came up with ocs, scenarios, and I had a notebook that I drafted some stuff on, but I actually wasn’t able to complete a fic until way later ! I think that because I read so much fiction (books included), that my standard for good writing had gotten pretty high, and my own level of writing as a novice was too low to reach that standard. So I’d only get maybe a paragraph in before deciding it was bad and trash it

Which is horrible ! Never delete anything you write ! I’m sure you’ve seen the advice before 😂 but because my reading level had gone so far ahead of my writing level, I assumed the writing was bad and not worth attempting. But this isn’t true ! Writing is always worth attempting ! We start learning how to read very young but creative writing isn’t necessarily taught (k-12), everything we write is more focused on academic papers and personal introductions, y’know? So naturally when you eventually do start using it to be creative, you’re gonna start off at the beginner level. It’s takes practice and constant writing to build up that level ! And even then most writers don’t like their own work 😂 but we fall in love with the process and our ability to express ourselves !

So anyways, because I didn’t really know that stuff and thought I just sucked, I only wrote things here or there and never committed to getting a story down. this went on until prob 2020 ! when I got into my hero academia 😂 I hadn’t read fanfiction since … well, prob since quizilla shut down cuz I hated fanfiction.net, I got obsessed with bakugou and just wanted to know more about him, so I googled him and it led me here ! To tumblr! I devoured all the content I could find on him, literally starved for it, and some of the fics that became my favorites weren’t even necessarily…I don’t wanna say not well written ! But they had grammar errors, lost track of plot and position, had him ooc, and I was literally so excited about reading fanfics again that I devoured them all 😂

And I guess that’s kinda when it clicked ! You don’t have to worry about like…being a pro at writing from the moment you pick up the pen. You can just write because it’s fun ! Cuz you wanna get dicked down by a fictional character ! You can write long, or short, about smut, fluff, or angst. Choose to capitalize your letters or not. It’s so free ! I think that I had collectively built up all this pressure on myself to be a good writer that it ultimately stunted me and stopped my growth because I didn’t wanna try if it meant being bad, but I like that on here “bad” is not bad ! The only requirement for it to be good here is for it to exist, and that ability to be free without judgement is what helped me finally start finishing whole fics and plotting out ideas and finally something that I had been passionate about all my life was taking center stage.

So my advice is to write ! Write a lot, write some more, don’t delete anything. And don’t be afraid of being bad because that’s more than expected 😂 there is no human alive that did not crawl before they learned to walk !

Sooo….I kinda feel like everyone loves Azriel simply because we don’t really know him…. Like, his backstory is super interesting, and he has that whole “tall,dark and mysterious” thing going on, but I feel like the fandom loves the version they’ve created of him. Which is fine, but I think we have to acknowledge that SJM is kinda good at ruining her characters. *cough* Rhysand *cough* Feyre *cough* Tamlin….and I could go on. I fear that if we get a book where Azriel is a main, everyone will be disappointed.

That is a totally fair and valid fear!

I do agree that's probably a reason why people love him. The other reason is because Az is your standard "sad boi", and A LOT of people, especially readers, seem to love a good sad boi. Or, at least, a lot of readers in my life do. 👀 Personally, I don't. I fell in love with Cassian basically the moment we met him and have never faltered - that's my type. I've posted about it, but my three biggest SJM world crushes are Cassian, Connor Holstrom, and Aedion Ashryver (don't get me wrong, I do looooove Rowan, but Aedion was the one that just had me like 'awwww 😍😊'). So, like, yeah...and while, yes, there's obvs a physical aspect to that, in reading, that's not what makes you fall in love. And those three definitely also have very similar vibes, especially Cassian and Aedion, who can both have some comic relief aspect, and are happier bois.

Anyway, enough about me, the point is that a lot of people seem drawn to the sad boi type, too, whether they can help it or not. And hey, we all have our trauma that makes us like what we like, so def. no judgment from me on that.

As for being afraid she'll ruin his character, I get where you're coming from. Especially after reading the Bonus chapter because, I'll admit, I was disappointed in what we saw from Az in his mind.

That being said, SJM loves Az, so at least, if she does ruin him, it won't be purposeful, similarly to Rhys. But, I also think that she has a lot of room to help him grow. SJM, in my opinion, hasn't ruined characters when they were the main. I mean, for the first three books Feyre was really the only MC, with a bit of Rhys POV at times, and we loved Rhys so much! And some of us loved Feyre...I was iffy on her at times, cause she's always been just a bit too perfect, but I def. never hated her, and I often did like her.

However, I know a number of people that hated Nesta before ACOSF, and after it were like "shit, this badass is queeeeen". Which, yes, accurate, how dare you not figure it out sooner. 👀 And while Cassian could have had more development, and been a bit better, I didn't feel like he got ruined in ACOSF either. Even with his flaws, I still ended up loving him more. I need a man like that...one that'll wait for me and fight for me, like, ughhhh...seriously, can I have one??

But, yeah, SJM didn't really ruin Rhys until ACOSF, and we finally saw him through eyes that didn't have a "Rhys is the best" filter. It probably also didn't help that we fell in love with Nesta and so many of us relate to her in one way or another. But, we also have to remember that there are people out there who still don't like Nesta, and they don't feel Rhys was ruined. It's okay to be wrong sometimes. My point with that is that, in the end, it'll be as much about ourselves, what we related to and how we see those actions. Me, I saw a male who couldn't be sympathetic to a struggling female, and held her to a double standard and couldn't forgive her for the things she did years ago when she was basically a child, and nothing she could do would be enough. Not even literally save his brother's life. And yet, he'd forgive the other sister even though she did less than Nesta did when they were humans, isn't the one who attempted to get Feyre back from the Fae lands (I mean, seriously, does no one in the book remember that Nesta traveled to the f*ing wall as a human to try and get Feyre back?!), and did very little during the war. Not trying to insult E\ain, just pointing out what happened and how Rhys is holding a double standard, forgiving one sister solely because she's "nice" and hating the other, most likely because Nesta was representing on the outside what everyone else was feeling on the inside. And, Rhys is your typical WASP - you hide those emotions, you do not show flaws in public, outside your home everything is fine, repress repress repress.

Okay, sorry, Rhys rant over, and if anyone was ever curious where I stood on Rhys (and hadn't seen other posts where I def. brought it up), now you know. I'm not sorry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, while I understand the fear, and that feeling is totally valid, I'll say I'm not super concerned. Because SJM is good at putting us in the perspective of who she's writing from, and that will hopefully help us long-term in his book, even if maybe at the beginning it's rough cause Az hates himself.

My biggest fear is definitely more that we'll be disappointed because we all like Az (or love for some) and many of us are likely building up this potential story in our heads a lot - kinda like what you said about the fandom making our own Az. Or reading fics doing the same. I won't deny, that's probably my biggest fear. It's not that she'll ruin Az, but just that she'll do things differently, and I may be a bit disappointed...esp. if she doesn't make Gwyn the dom. 👀 After reading a fic with femdom Gwyn (not super BDSM, just, like, she's the dom in the relationship), I can't not want that...so, like, SJM, plz. I know it's probs not gonna happen, she writes relationships where the guy is the top, BUT IT COULD!

And, if it doesn't, then she better f*ing make E\ain the dom to Lucien's sub...I'm sorry, but considering her personality outside of the bedroom, it's just so right, and we need a femdom relationship in her world.

So, yeah. I get your fear. It's fair. The fanon version of Az does exist, for sure. I think canon Az is likely going to be darker, for sure, at least at the beginning, which is going to be difficult but really put us on a true journey. But, in the end, it also might be something we have to check ourselves on, because it wouldn't be fair to SJM for us to be disappointed because we created something we love with her character, and then she showed us that the character she created is different.

This is going to be pretty long cause i really got carried away! but i really hope you enjoy. Prepare you tissues and a pillow to squeeze your frustration! Please send me more Zenigata stuff i beg!

You were both on your daily mission to get Lupin in his gang over the cold, rusty metal bars. You had planed out what could possibly be the tricks and outplays that could play out throughout the day. Zenigata was a dedicated man and you learnt that throughout your journey with him. He was creative, strong and a bit clumsy but how can you not with such a strong figure walking around.  

"So we have everything ready?" you asked inpatient. He started at our notes and blue prints intensively.

"Almost." He paused and lifted his head to meet your eyes. 

"We just need to confirm everything." You groan but deep down, you enjoyed spending time with him, even if it was things that wasn't your cup of tea.

After checking once more and giving each other quizzes on the different situations, the only thing you had to wait for the radio to alarm us of any Lupin activities. You stood up out of your spot and directed yourself to the kettle siting on you right. You reached the top drawer and took two noodle cups. He formed a smile on his face and closed his eyes in approval when you showed him the cup. You were both eating when you asked a question that wasn't in the blue prints.

"What do we do if one of us gets hurt..?" You said with hesitation. His eyes widened as he raised his brows. For a split second he didn't move until he swallowed his noodles. He looked away, trying to think for an answer. 

"What are you saying, it will never happen cause I'm here!" You laughed at his response and smiled at him.

"Seriously Koichi-" You stopped your trail of words as his eyes were looking through yours. Was it a mistake that you called him by his first name? He frowned and looked away.

"Well if it happened then-" Zenigata get's cut off by the radio signals and quickly reaches for it. 

"We have located Lupin and his gang around the Louvre Inspector."

"Do not move until I command you too!" He replied. He grabbed his coat and you followed him. At the scene the both of you join Zenigata's officers and salute them. They salute you back and explain the situation. There was a high chance that they would be more gangs than Lupin's so Zenigata had to take a decision. Haft of his forces on the hunt, the others on the watch. They would take the main door to the Louvre as both of you would take the exits. Everyone were ready, like robots with their own commands.

"They are... very well disciplined." you said uneasy.

"We only have the best for these kinds of cases, that's why you are here." You said as he flashes you with a smile. You didn't budge until we started to move. You followed him, still flustered about his comment.

You were almost at the exits of The famous Louvre until you heard something from afar, Inspetor Zenigata didn't move or react to it until it was too late. 

The cop was right...

 You saw the light afar and push the inspector way. 

It happened so fast.

You never felt this kind of pain before.

The intense warms in your lower abdomen told you everything you need to know about the situation.

You fell to the ground almost unconscious. 

Zenigata grabbed his gun in a flash and shot at the right direction. There was a heavy silence. You looked at the city lights, concentrating on the beautiful Parisian lights.

Someone called a name, multiple time, until you realized it was yours. You opened your eyes a bit more and felt your body being flipped to your back. You saw the Inspector's face of worry but, it reassured you. He was a comforting presence to be with.

You saw him call the radio in panic until he ripped your shirt to see the wound. He got to work and took the ripped part of your shirt and covered the wound for it to stop bleeding but- 

"Stay with me would ya!" 

'I'll stay.. i'll stay' You said to yourself. You knew you were losing a lot of blood, 

You knew,

He knew. 

"Please don't close your eyes and look at me!" He yelled. It woke you up a bit of your thinking. 

"I-" You managed to say as you grit your teeth when his hands pressured your wound.

"What do we do." You exhaled,

"If one of us get hurt?" you finished. His eyes widened at your question.

"Tell me." You struggled. You budge him out of his shock.

"We stop the mission, we stop everything!" he answered.

"Why?" Zenigata frowned and grit his teeth. You saw his sweat slowly falling down his cheek to his chin. He took his hat off and gently put it on your chest. You help a grip on it, of all the strength you had to not fall unconscious. You felt your slowly being heavier and heavier. 

"Don't leave me like Laura did..." That was the last thing you heard. 

The next thing you knew, you felt a sheets covering your lower body. You tried opening your eyes but the room was so light. You blinked a few times before your eyes fully opened. You looked down at your arms already habited by needles in your skin. You were still holding Zenigata's hat, now it was all bloody from the event. You looked to your right and you saw the grey door, closer to you the liquid going into your body, standing there. You slowly turn you eyes to your left. You saw a big figure, sitting there with his eyes closed and crossing his arms like the men in their 40's sleeps like when they sleep on a couch. You didn't want to wake him up until you accidently knocked out the radio sitting on the left little table between the two of you. You couldn't reach it from down here, your abdomen was on fire. His eyes met yours, you felt like you were caught.

"Good morning." You said with an awkward smile. He reached for the radio and put it back on the table. He was silent in his movement. You didn't budge a centimeter, it was unlike him to be the silence type. His got closer to you with his chair. You felt yourself being wrapped up in his big arms, your head was resting on his chest. after a few seconds, he let go and you looked back at him. He looked horrible, he had dark circles under his eyes, yes, even more than usual and his eyes were red, like he cried.

"Are you okay?" you asked him. he didn't respond to you and laid his head on the bed close your waist and became silent. You understood his message and laid down as comfortably as you could be and watched him sleep. You really wanted to run your fingers on his hair but hesitated. Now isn't the time to show that kind of affection, so you put your hand on his shoulder and rested.

 Later on when a nurse came in to check up on your condition, you signaled them to be quiet as Zenigata was in a deep sleep. You talked to the nurse a bit and learnt that Zenigata had stayed all night and all day to keep a watch of you. You didn't even know how long that must've been. More detailed came out the nurse's mouth. He almost never let go of your hand, cried some nights and always pushed his work away. You looked back at Zenigata's sleeping figure and sat there, shocked. After the nurse left, you felt horrible and had many questions in mind;

-Why did he not continue and chase Lupin?

-Why did the other cops didn't come to help?

-Who is Laura?

-How many people did he lose?

You looked at Zenigata and directed your hand to his head, running your hands through his hair. It felt satisfying, it gave you some sort of serotonin boost. You stopped to concentrate on a book you request from the nurse. Suddenly you felt a hand gently grabbing yours, he directed your hand around his hair. You smiled and ran your hand in his hair again. You heard a a sighed of satisfaction from his and you continued reading your book.

Later that day, Zenigata woke up from his slumber. He opened his eyes to see you, reading your book in peace. He bolted of joy and raised himself of your hospital bed. 

“You’re awake, you’re awake!” he said. You only chuckled at his childish side and he sat back down. Last time he woke up, he was so exhausted he forgot. 

“Good afternoon Koichi.” You smiled at him. He paused his tracks and looked away all flustered. You smiled at him and put your book down. 

“How are you feeling?” He asked. 

“Only some abdominal pains, nothing more.” You responded. He grabbed your hand and enfolded it with his hands. You directed your eyes to him and he closed his. 

“I won’t let this happen ever again, I was not focus, I'm sorry.”

"Koichi..." You sighed.

"I am just glad, that you are still living why did you do it!"

"Well..." You paused.

"We only have the best for these kinds of cases, that's why i'm are here"

Koichi only smiled and stayed next to for the rest of your trip at the hospital. He was glad, glad to have one the best partners in the world.
