There was an eerie silence among all the participants for the first few seconds after the first death happened. The realization of what this meant for everyone present slowly sank in, and you thought that maybe the crazy man with all his screaming, wasn't quite as crazy as you originally thought. The real madman was probably the person somewhere upstairs or - you didn't know exactly where, but you knew that they were watching you.
“Don't move!” His voice shouted again, but this time with a completely different force. It may be that this was the most logical conclusion one could draw from what had just happened, but some seemed to throw all logic out of the window as soon as the fear of death hit. It only took one person to panic to set off a domino effect and from one second to the next loud gunshots could be heard, following the fearful screams of one person after another. The participants were being slaughtered like frightened animals in a cage, what kind of sick game was really going on here?
You too began to tremble as you looked down at the floor, dissociating and trying to ignore your surroundings as best you could. You had to stop yourself from flinching when the person right next to you was killed, even as you felt his still warm blood covering your cheek, even as a small river of it started pooling around your foot. You were most likely going to leave a trace of him all over the ground as soon as you started walking again - whoever he was. It didn't take very long for everyone who had moved to be shot, maybe half a minute - and yet it must have been the worst half minute of your life so far.
“Don't you dare move,” Thanos said in a voice you weren't used to hearing from him. “I'm serious, don't make me mad.”
You just looked at his back from behind, with a tense posture while you tried to regain control of your breathing again. Finally, there was complete silence on the pitch again. Even if it wasn't an entirely welcome silence.
The voice from the loudspeakers began to speak again and you already knew that this would be a voice that would haunt you in your nightmares. “Let me repeat: You can move forward while the tagger shouts, Green light, red light. If your movement is detected afterward, you will be eliminated.”
Ah, so that's what you meant with eliminated. A bit literal but no biggie! The game continued, but no one really dared to move a muscle even when the puppet looked away. You then saw Thanos shift slightly out of the corner of your eye and noticed that he was pulling his cross necklace out of his t-shirt. Safe to say, that you could barely believe what you were seeing right before your very eyes. You've got to be kidding me, they took everything we had from us, but he was allowed to keep that old thing? “Are you seriously going to take that stuff now?” you whispered in disbelief but didn't really judge him for it. You were this close to just laughing out loud at the absurdity of the scene, but you didn't.
“You don't have to be jealous, sweetheart,” he replied with slightly shaky hands as he stopped his movement abruptly when the doll finished talking. He just stared longingly at the colorful pills in front of him. “I don't mind sharing with you, you know that.”
You sighed inwardly at the thing you were about to do. You had been clean for maybe about three years by now and quitting drugs of any kind overnight was fucking hard - definitely one of the hardest things you had to do in your life. On the other hand, your life was still as shitty as before, the only difference being that you were now consciously depressed and unhappy, so who cares? You could die every second anyway. “Thanks.” you just said after taking the pill out of his hand and threw the thing as quickly as possible in your mouth as soon as the doll looked away. Yeah, you were the biggest hypocrite on earth, old news.
It only took maybe a few seconds after that for you to feel the effects of the pill and then finally, all the stress started to dissipate. Your muscles relaxed, all the shouting about whatever felt like a soft pillow hugging you and the weird laying positions of the dead around you suddenly seemed incredibly funny. These were really strong pills, you could practically feel your whole body tingling. “Why are they all suddenly forming a line?” you asked with a grin and Thanos just hummed, not knowing the answer himself. “No idea, but watch this,” he said and waited until the puppet had turned towards you to push the person next to him, causing everyone in front of them to fall over too. “Ding! You lost,” he told them while wiggling his eyebrows and smirking after he watched them get shot.
You didn't even try to stifle your laughter at the scene. “You really are such an asshole.” you replied, shoving him aside this time after the doll averted its gaze. You then ran away as fast and as far away as you could so that he couldn't take revenge on you for what you had just done. However, you quickly stopped moving with both hands in the air as soon as the girlish voice emitted red light as if you were surrendering to her. You stifled your grin and pretty much failed when you noticed a slightly older woman standing relatively close to you. “Hey, are you trying to hide behind me to use me as a shield?” you spoke out without moving your mouth much and watched as she began to sweat more after you realized what she was doing. Still, she didn't pay you any further attention. “And now you're ignoring me too?” you spat out annoyed and grabbed her by the arm when you were free to move and pulled her in front of you against her will.
She tried to fight you off but you forced her further forward while she tried to defend herself. “You're older than me, aren't you ashamed of yourself?” You asked her and stopped walking before the robot's face turned towards you.
Number 57, who was still resisting your grip, stumbled a little to the side when you suddenly let go of her. She was about to howl in delight when she noticed how everyone else stood still. “No…” she mumbled out fearfully. “It's because of that bitch! I didn't -” she tried to defend herself to someone as she looked around the room, but her head caught the bullet before she could even finish her sentence.
“I may be a bitch, but at least I'm still alive.” you sang to her dead body on the floor before running past her. You didn't know how much time was left, but you had almost made it to the finish line anyway. You stopped with your back to the robot girl this time and it didn't take you long to spot the purple hair in the crowd. “Su-bong!” you shouted his name, since you had somehow gotten separated while running. You waited until he yelled back with a what?! “Last one there, gets fucked in the ass!” you yelled out without any shame or filter and saw his facial expression turn serious at the challenge. “Let's Go!”
The whole game went by relatively quickly once you took the pill from Thanos. It was actually quite fun, you thought to yourself as you both jumped around like two crazy people with grinning faces, waving your arms around wildly. I know it's not socially acceptable to say this, but I fucking love doing drugs! It was like everything around you was happening in slow motion and all the decisions you made felt foggy, like you didn't even realize what you were doing.
You loved being this person, it felt great to forget everything and just - not think. “I have won! No, really! You crossed the line two steps after me, I saw it!” you exclaimed before Thanos could object to a single thing. “Didn't anyone else see that?” you exclaimed in disbelief as if the others weren't busy staying alive while watching several others die right before their faces. You didn't care about the looks they gave you as you waved your hand. “No, they definitely saw it. I won.”
Thanos just gave in with a heavy sigh and a roll of his eyes. “Yeah yeah, I'm getting fucked in the ass which is gay, very funny.” he just mumbled to himself annoyed, and continued to avoid your gaze, but couldn't help grin again when you slapped him on the shoulder laughing. “Hey, why did we stop doing all this again?” he asked you when he couldn't remember the reason. All he knew was that he hadn't had this much fun in a long time, even though he knew that he always had a great time with you - no matter what.
You laughed. “Oh, that's because you promised me that we'd both get clean together, and then you spent the money I gave you for rehab on more drugs behind my back.“ you laughed along with him, even if Thanos frowned a little at the memory and you started to smile forcedly after remembering again how he had betrayed you. “Or what was it again? Was it something about that Youtuber you told me about…” you mumbled to yourself obliviously, feeling any sense of happiness begin to fade. You finally gave up, the details weren't that important anyway. “It doesn't really matter though, right? In any case, you used the money for something else, whatever it was. Even though you knew how hard I worked for it - hell, I didn't even eat most days to scrape it together, man.” you stated while you looked him in the face, even though he averted his gaze from you. “That's just fucked up dude.”
Exactly. You actually hated being this person. You might not remember it right now, but you would as soon as the effects of the pill wore off, which hopefully wasn't soon. You really hoped it wasn't soon, because you didn't want to be aware of anything that had happened today.

I want to talk about Helena’s performance as Helly and her deep rooted misunderstanding of who Helly is as a person. And just in general how I think she perceives her especially after yesterday’s episode.
Helena is incredibly attentive, almost to the point of being terrifying. In the short moments she interacts with anyone, everything in her head is already scripted, calculated, and premeditated. She’s also a great method actress, reacting based on the energy around her. It’s like a stand up comic, constantly adjusting their performance to make sure their actions land. If something doesn’t click, she shifts.
Throughout the past couple of episodes, Helena spends most of her time just trying to go with the flow move with the water, trying to fit in without standing out, constantly monitoring the group and their reactions at every turn. And so far, she was good at it. She can play the part, until her own emotions towards helly start to blind her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In these two pics she does a quick scan of Irving’s and Marks faces trying to analyze their reactions
Helena knows the group loves Helly. She knows Mark loves Helly. And honestly, I’d bet every dollar in my bank account that it genuinely makes her want to kill herself. She has zero respect for Helly, and she doesn’t need to. To Helena, Helly, and by extension, the group, are low value. Insignificant. At her highest, Helly is just a worker, a cheap extension of herself created with the sole purpose of just being a good employee to be displayed to the public as a little shining lumon puppet. But shit, the bitch can’t even do that. She’s done quite the opposite. So yeah, not a person to be respected or valued.
This particular disdain (and fuck it, I’m just gonna say hate) that Helena carries for Helly spills into the bonfire scene with Milchick.
While Milchick is reading the story, enunciating every word like a second grade elementary school teacher, showing pictures like they’re in a reading circle, I kept wondering to myself if Helena ever experienced something similar to this as a child. How many times has she heard this same story? Or hell, any other old Kier mythology? Lumon, Kier, the Eagan legacy, it’s all she’s ever known. This world is nothing new to her.
Even though I believe Helena is a loyal servant, she probably didn’t love all the weird shit she had to put up with in her childhood. The weight of the Egan legacy probably suffocates her. But she accepted it either way because that was the life she was given. Unlike fucking helly. Fucking helly who’s forced her into this situation to begin with. In my opinion, all of these particular feelings make their way into Helena’s reaction to the story as Helly, which could only be described as a middle schooler who suddenly thinks they’re too old for camp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I saw this post someone made about this scene, and like shit, yeah, that’s probably right. Helena had one chance to shit on the weird religion that’s been shoved down her throat since birth and she took that chance.
Tumblr media
Helena, in this moment, settles for crude, mocking jokes. She probably does this partially out of her own selfish need for Mark’s validation, as well as playing her role trying to fit into the group but I also think it’s a great reflection of her own personal feelings toward Helly. Helly, who would’ve never acted that way. Helly, who is many things, but never cruel. Helena doesn’t seem to understand that. For the moment, Helena takes a step back, flanderizes Helly, reducing her to this cheeky, crude, disruptive little jokester. That’s how Helena views her. With no respect. No nuance. Helly has layers Helena does not care to see. Helly doesn’t just break rules; she actively causes chaos, subverting everything around her. She’s purposefully, and happily, malcontent. A bitch, dare I say, an ungrateful bitch, most likely from Helena’s point of view.
Irving, who keeps testing her, makes her slip a little more. I talked about this a little bit in my last post about severance, but Helena doesn’t take well to being disrespected. She shifts from wanting the group’s (and mostly Mark’s) validation to just wanting to put Irving in his fucking place. These people aren’t equal to her in her mind. They aren’t cut from the same cloth probably not even made from the same fabric. There are levels to this shit, and they are not on her level.
She says what she says. It’s cruel. Mostly, it’s stupid on her part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And just like Irving said later, and what I said earlier Helly was many things, but…
Tumblr media
What Helena did at the bonfire was a fuck up. An especially surprising one coming from a woman as controlling and calculated as her. I’m fully convinced all those little mistakes came from a deep frustration within her. Much of that anger, in my opinion, is stewing from the realization that Helly, someone created by her, literally the source of all of Helena’s recent problems, someone who will stop at nothing to take her down, that person, the woman who’s literally locked up inside her, is more free than she will ever be.
Yes, Helena has no respect for Helly. Yes, she most likely hates that bitch. But when she herself is acting as Helly, it gives her the opportunity to almost let go. She gets the chance to essentially kill the bitch that’s been fucking up her life whilst simultaneously getting a chance to talk to this man who cares so deeply for a version of herself she hates, Even if it’s not the most ideal of situations (it’s not), it’s still something. I think, at the bonfire, she reflects on the ridiculous situation she’s found herself. All this shit caused by some other version of herself that she created, that situation plus all the other shit going down at Lumon is probably alot. And it just all bubbles up inside her. And when she’s given even the smallest opportunity to let anything out, she’s going to take it.
Idk it’s therapeutic in a way I guess.
She’s unfiltered, blunt, and almost carefree in a way that’s shocking almost unsettling. It’s clearly how she sees Helly to some degree, but also her own need to scratch an itch she’s never dared to before. And even though it’s an act of “Helly”, it still leaves a clear aftertaste of Helena.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keep thinking about these two little moments whilst she’s making her jokes she not only keeps checking on mark’s reaction but also seems to laugh at her self in a way that just seems so genuine almost self deprecating. She acknowledges the ridiculousness of her situation and this dumb ass story she’s probably heard a million times
In my last post about Severance, I mentioned that Helena is the master of speaking her truth without outright saying it. She hides behind walls, but as Helly, she’s free to speak without restraint.
(Also her having sex with mark is a clear way of her expressing this new found freedom with in her role as helly but ima talk about that later)

Ultraviolent Heart Part II
╰┈➤ A year has passed since you walked away from the hunter world, from him. The ache in your chest never left, but tonight, you let yourself surrender to it, if only for a moment. That’s when you feel it—a faint flicker of mana. Hope surges, fragile and desperate, at the thought that it could mean Jin Woo. But as you follow the spark, it's not Jin Woo who greets you..
Jin Woo x Isekai'd!Player2!Fem!Reader | Part II | Heartbreak | Angst | Jealousy | Crying | Violence | Blood
[Part I]
Crywolf - ultraviolent [she sang to me a language strange]
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚--~
“What if I manage to kill you and your puppets as well?”
Jin-Woo’s voice was cold as ice, his eyes glowed, and his face was smeared with blood as he stared at the half-destroyed statue, which was looking back at him with a hint of panic.
The power emanating from the young Hunter made the room tremble. The room where everything had begun—the room he could now finally return to, only to discover that the creator of his powers was also the root of all evil.
The half-destroyed statue responded, its jaw already shattered, and deep gashes marked where Jin-Woo’s daggers had struck.
“I am the architect of this system. If you were to kill me—”
“—I’d become an E-rank again?” the black-haired Hunter finished the sentence, sweat glistening on his bloodstained forehead as a manic smile spread across his lips.
“I’ve already considered that possibility… but a system that exists won’t simply collapse if its creator vanishes, will it?” His grin widened, and the statue realized what that meant.
By the time its own system denied it access, its fate was sealed.
“I used to think I had no choice but to follow the system, that I’d become nothing more than an avatar, bend to its will” Jin-Woo whispered, tightening his grip on his blades. The glowing aura around him and the second heart he just got beating in his chest quickened his movements—each beat releasing more mana.
“I’ll just devour the entire system,” he declared, preparing to strike. But then the Architect said something that froze him mid-attack.
“̴H̵a̵v̷e̶ ̵y̴o̵u̴ ̷n̶e̷ver̷ wo̵n̴de̷r̴e̶d̶ ̶w̷h̶e̵re̴ ̷s̴he̷ d̷i̵s̶a̴p̷p̶e̵a̵r̵e̵d̵ ̵t̵o̷?̵”̴
The Voice began to tremble, static and flickering – like a broken TV.
The Shadow Monarch’s eyes remained unchanging, and he kept the statue in his sights. Was this a dirty trick? Was it trying to exploit his only weakness—you?
The Architect’s tone shifted as he noticed the young Hunter’s hesitation. He had struck a nerve. Not even a second heart could fill the gaping hole in his chest that you had left behind. But the thought of what the system might have done to you made uncontrollable rage boil within him.
He’s just playing with you, Jin-Woo. Don’t listen to him.
Your voice was loud and clear in his head—or at least the voice he still remembered.
Maybe he had a screw loose, or he was completely losing his mind, but after some time of your absence, your voice began appearing more and more clear in his mind. Especially in situations that were inherently dangerous, when adrenaline coursed through his veins. It wasn’t real – he knew that too well, but it was enough to give him strength.
Suddenly, it all made sense—the reason why he couldn’t find you anywhere, not even a single clue about your whereabouts, no matter how long and intensely he searched. Who could let you disappear, if not the System itself?
As he followed this train of thought, a massive knot formed in his stomach. The mere idea that he might have done something terrible to you—who knows what—was enough to drive him to the brink of madness.
His grip on the dagger tightened, the weapon creaking under the sheer force of its wielder. His entire body burned.
“What have you done?”
His voice trembled with fury—a rage that sent fear coursing through his shadows.
A rage with the potential to turn this dungeon—no, the entire city or even the world, to ashes.
And he likely would if it meant avenging you.
A deep laugh filled his ears as the battered statue laughed.
"That's the funniest part of all this, I didn't have to do anything", its voice was smug, less panicked. Now, he had enough time to do what should prevent his death.
What did he mean by that?
"You did this for me" the architect added. Jin Woo felt a sharp pang in his heart at the thought that he was responsible for what had happened to you. If only he had looked after you better…
"She left on her own."
The wounds inside him, which he had sporadically patched up, ripped open again at the thought.
He didn’t want to believe it—couldn’t believe it. Not coming from the mouth of this monster, yet his words ate their way into his mind.
His voice distorted, as though there was interference, but the grin on the stone shell didn’t fade—in fact, it grew wider.
The black-haired man didn’t want to listen any longer and prepared to attack, but a voice—your voice—stopped him. So clear and distinct, as if you were right beside him. And then he saw you out of the corner of his eye.
“Jin-Woo?” you asked softly, almost hesitantly. Your [E/C] eyes shone. This time – your Voice rang crystal clear in his ears, as if you were just beside him. It felt too real. His whole body reacted to your voice, a shiver ran down his spine.
His mistake: he turned his gaze away, just to finally see you again.
The world stood still for a second as he looked at you, his mouth opening to say something, anything—but by then, it was already too late.
The stone spear of the statue pierced his stomach, sending waves of pain through his entire body.
Blood gushed from his mouth, his eyes wide in shock. He had… fallen for it.
He saw his HP plummet drastically, his vision blurred, and his strength drained away.
Was this the end? Would he die here?
The sharp scream of his name that came out of Hae-In’s mouth, who stood with the other S-Rank hunters not far from the battle, didn’t reach him.
Everything around him grew dark, his eyes fluttered, and he shut out all the sounds surrounding him—only your image remained.
He was tired, so unbearably tired. He didn’t want to continue; it was all too much. And knowing he would never see you again shattered the last bit of resolve that had driven him forward.
What reason did he have to keep suffering? He might as well succumb to the darkness and finally let his soul rest. Stop fighting, at last.
This feeling… death reaching for him, pulling him to the other side.
Was the Double Dungeon truly to be his eternal resting place after all, despite escaping it the first time? How ironic.
“It’s okay” your voice gently reached his ears.
Could he finally be happy with you if he gave in?
He exhaled one last time and closed his eyes.
Peace, at last.
“You’ve fought enough; you can let go” you said softly, and he felt the warmth of your hands cupping his cheeks.
When he opened his eyes, the Double Dungeon was gone—everything around him was white, and he gazed into your beautiful [E/C] eyes, your face framed with a soft smile on your lips.
Was this an illusion? A figment of his imagination to ease his passing?
“You can let go, Jin-Woo” you said calmly, your lips mere inches from his.
But just before you could unite your lips with his, something dawned on him, something that reignited life in his limbs.
“N…” he began, but only a raspy sound escaped on his first attempt.
“Hmm?” you asked.
“Ne…ver…” Jin-Woo made a second attempt.
“Never” he finally croaked, and your eyes widened.
“[Y/N] would never say something like that”, he declared, his numb limbs moving again.
You had always cheered him on, stood by his side, and motivated him to keep going, even when he didn’t want to. You had taken his hand and encouraged him to surpass himself, to never give up.
“When you’re backed into a wall, tear the damn thing down”, you had told him after you’d both barely survived Cerberus, when the situation seemed hopeless—but you had pushed through and pulled him along.
The illusion began to crumble around him, and the soft smile of your mirage twisted into a knowing, satisfied grin. As if Death himself was satisfied with his own Defeat, almost proud of Jin Woo’s resistance.
Jin-Woo straightened up, his hands instinctively gripping the spear in his stomach. The light disappeared, along with your form, and his eyes snapped open. Life flooded his body, and the second heart in his chest pumped even more pulsating mana through his veins as he pulled out the Speer, blood dripping down to his feet.
The triumphant grin of the statue shifted to pure horror at the sight of him getting back in action, after it had already claimed its victory.
“You really don’t know her if you think she’d ever say something like that”, Jin-Woo said as he spat the blood from his mouth, the metallic taste still lingering on his tongue.
In a flash, he sprinted forward and cleaved the statue’s face, its terrified eyes staring at him. It was over.
“Apparently…” the statue began to speak, its voice growing quieter toward the end, but its horrified expression turned into one of satisfaction—a faint grin.
What now? Had he underestimated something?
No, Jin-Woo could feel the presence of the Architect fading—it was clear, its mana dwindling. And yet, the creature acted as though it had won.
“I’ll leave her a message from you,” were the monster’s final words, spoken with just enough strength for a wide grin, before its presence faded.
Jin-Woo’s eyes widened at the words. No—this couldn’t—.
He reached out. No way would he let this monster go wherever you were, no matter where that might be.
When his hand finally felt something warm, he gripped it as tightly as he could and felt his body being pulled along.
A blinding light forced him to shut his eyes, a wave of energy surging toward him so intensely that he could only grip tightly onto whatever threatened to slip from his grasp. Suddenly, the ground beneath him vanished, leaving him weightless in the embrace of a strange warmth.
The warmth seeped into his wounds, and the pain vanished instantly.
For the first time in months, the crushing weight on his chest lifted, and he could breathe freely. It was a sensation he hadn’t felt since your absence.
The warmth enveloped him, soothing his battered soul like a gentle, healing touch. For a fleeting moment, everything felt right. But then, just as quickly, the feeling disappeared. The light receded, the emptiness returned, and the electric hum of mana that usually coursed through his veins was gone.
His feet hit cold concrete, dizziness overtaking him as his back slammed against the ground. The impact forced the air from his lungs, leaving him gasping as he lay motionless. The screech of tires pierced the air, snapping his head upward—only to be blinded by a pair of glaring headlights.
Jin Woo flinched, squeezing his eyes shut as he instinctively raised a hand to shield himself. Confusion flooded his mind; the abrupt change of scenery and his sluggish reflexes left him utterly perplexed.
Moments later, the car door creaked open, and a voice rang out—both alarmed and irritated.
"You can’t just run out into the road like that, man! What’s wrong with you?!"
His head whipped toward the source of the voice as a figure stepped into view. Worry flickered in the stranger's lavender-colored eyes as he crouched down to examine Jin Woo, who looked thoroughly disoriented.
"Are you hurt?’’, the man asked, his initial anger giving way to concern, likely born of the shock.
For a moment, Jin Woo didn’t answer, his breathing uneven as he tried to process his surroundings, before Jin-Woo crouched back.
But his movements were… slow. Far too slow. What was going on?
It felt as though he had no Mana left at all.
He immediately glanced down at his body, only to find the gaping wound in his stomach gone, along with the blood on his clothes—and even his shirt was no longer completely shredded.
It felt as though all the Mana in his body had vanished. An icy wave of panic clawed its way through him.
"Beru?!" Jin Woo called out; his voice edged with urgency. He expected a response, a reassuring presence—but there was nothing. Silence pressed in around him. He was truly alone.
Instead, the stranger in front of him gave him a puzzled look, clearly unsure who—or what—Jin Woo was calling for.
The man had striking lavender eyes and stark white hair, the contrast making his features all the more vivid. Jin Woo’s gaze lingered on him for a second too long before snapping away.
"I'm fine," Jin Woo replied curtly, though the sharp edge in his tone was undermined by his obvious disorientation.
The stranger raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. And who could blame him? Jin Woo looked far from "fine," his body tense and his expression filled with panic.
"Are you sure?" the stranger pressed, leaning in slightly, his tone gentler now.
Jin Woo let out a defeated sigh. He couldn’t afford to waste time arguing, not when something was clearly wrong. He swallowed hard before asking, his voice quieter than before:
"Where are we?"
-‘๑’-
A Year
It had been a year.
Exactly one year since you had returned home and turned your back on the world of Hunters.
A year spent trying to move forward, even though your heart had shattered into a thousand pieces.
A year filled with bitter truths—because you no longer had a place to return to.
It became painfully clear that no one remembered you—not your parents, not your friends. As if you had never existed.
But that pain was nothing compared to the emptiness you felt when you realized your decision was final.
The moment your mind caught up with what you had done, you had screamed. You had cried out prayers to gods you didn’t believe in, slammed your fists against the ground in desperation, hoping your pleas would be heard—that the System would reappear.
But it had all been in vain.
By leaving his world, you had also left behind your abilities as a Hunter—or a Player.
All that remained were memories and the emptiness in your heart, proof that you had ever been part of that world—that his warmth, his fingers intertwined with yours, the joy in your heart when he laughed—it had all been real.
Eventually, after weeks of unbearable pain, you managed to pull yourself back together.
You pushed the dark thoughts aside and tried for a fresh start.
You got a job, found an affordable place to live, and finally felt like you had regained a sliver of control over your life. Things were getting better—just a little. But every now and then, the memories caught up with you. The questions crept in: How was he doing? Were he and Hae-In happy now, while you were still mourning someone who was never truly yours?
And today, on your "anniversary," the weight of those memories was especially crushing.
You flinched as something cold brushed against your cheek, snapping you back to reality.
The dull music that had filled your ears became sharp and clear again.
Your head jerked to the side, where a glass filled with dark brown liquid hovered inches from your face. Behind it was the concerned face of your best—and only—friend, as well as your roommate: Nika.
Her lavender-colored eyes studied you with a mixture of worry and exasperation.
“You’ve got that look again,” she said, her voice loud and direct as she slid onto the barstool next to you.
“What look?” you asked, taking the glass from her hand. The amber liquid inside swirled lazily as you turned it in your hand.
“The ‘I don’t belong here, someone save me’ look,” she replied with a faint smirk, taking a deep sip of her own drink.
“What are you thinking about this time?” she asked, setting her glass down on the counter with a dull thud.
You knew you couldn’t tell her the truth. She was aware of your heartbreak—though you had spared her the details—but she hated it when you wasted even a single thought on him.
After all, it was Nika who had painstakingly put you back together, who had offered you a place to stay after you confessed you’d been sleeping in a rundown motel.
You had been nothing more than coworkers, yet she had taken you in.
She had seen through your sadness, the pain you carried with you—the nightmares that haunted you, the lack of sleep, and how little you left the apartment. Eventually, she’d had enough and confronted you, practically dragging you out of the house.
At first, you resisted, but the sobering realization that you could now drink yourself into oblivion again since your hunters’ powers were gone, had quickly changed your mind. So much so that even Nika occasionally worried about your drinking habits.
Apparently, your “it’s nothing” had taken too long, because her piercing gaze told you she wasn’t buying it.
“You can’t be serious,” she said, letting out a heavy sigh—as though your pain were her own. You understood why. In moments like this, you felt so small again, like you’d made no progress, like the pain had never truly gone away and happiness was something you’d never feel again.
“I’m sorry, it’s just… it’s been a year now. The melancholy kind of sneaks up on you,” you admitted, offering her an apologetic smile.
“I get it—you loved him, yada yada. But life moves on. We’re young. We’re hot. He didn’t deserve you anyway. I mean, look at you.”
Her voice brimmed with confidence, the complete opposite of your own. She was strong, self-assured—a little reckless, sometimes abrasive, but her heart was always in the right place.
Her enthusiasm was infectious, and despite yourself, you couldn’t help but laugh.
“It’s time you finally realize what you’re worth. I mean, guys hit on you all the time. Grab one and have some fun. Or reject them—that’s fun too,” she said with a playful grin before downing the rest of her drink in one gulp.
Then she grabbed your hand.
“Come on, we’re going dancing,” she declared, pulling you off the stool.
“Wait,” you protested, but she shot you a knowing look.
Her grin widened as you downed your own drink in one go, relishing the burning sensation before letting her drag you to the dance floor.
Maybe she was right. At some point, you had to let go. Jin Woo was your past, a closed chapter in your story.
Maybe it was time to try something new.
-‘๑’-
You felt the cold wall against your back as two strong hands gently but firmly pushed you backward, and you instinctively wrapped your hands around his neck.
Perhaps you had followed Nika’s advice and gotten involved with something… or rather someone, whose hands were now sliding under your black dress, leaving a warm tingling on your skin. Whether it was the alcohol this time, or if you simply wanted to prove to yourself that you were finally over Jin-Woo – you had no idea. But his hands on your skin made you feel desired again, something you hadn’t felt in a long time. Even if it was just a quick fling, right here in this moment, it felt good, even though the icy cold grazed your bare skin because you had left your jacket in the coat check.
His warm breath brushed against your neck, and you could clearly feel how your body wanted to give in.
At least, until the moment when his lips were only a few centimeters away from yours, and you wanted to close your eyes. You jolted upright as a familiar feeling coursed through your body, snapping your attention away. Your head whipped to the side, toward the source of the aura.
It couldn’t be—it was impossible.
And yet, you had felt it.
Mana. Nearby.
There was no mistaking it. That distinct surge of a mana stream—something you thought you’d never feel again.
That spark was enough to reignite something within you, something you had thought long dead.
Hope.
Hope that you might see him again. That you could apologize. Say all the things you’d never allowed yourself to say. Could it really be?
“Are you okay?”
The black-haired man in front of you had stopped immediately, concern in his striking green eyes.
You stared at him, unable to form a coherent thought as the sensation consumed you, blotting out everything else for a fleeting moment.
“I’m sorry, I…” you began, disentangling yourself from him, unable to meet his gaze.
You didn’t owe him anything—not really—but you wouldn’t have let this happen if you’d known it would end like this.
He was probably angry—disappointed at the very least. Bracing yourself for the worst, you were surprised when no harsh words came.
Instead, he simply nodded, understanding in his eyes, and stepped back, releasing you.
“It’s okay. You don’t need to explain,” he said gently, his green eyes following you as you began to turn away.
“Thank you,” you whispered before rushing off in the direction of the mana stream.
The sky above was clear, dotted with stars. It was late December, and the temperature had plummeted below freezing.
Your lungs burned, and the cold lashed at your exposed skin, but you didn’t slow down. You couldn’t risk losing this chance, couldn’t make the same mistake again.
Tears welled in your eyes as Jin-Woo’s face filled your mind—his warm smile, the one that had always sent butterflies through your stomach.
No. You wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
You rounded a corner into a dark alley and came to an abrupt halt, gasping for breath. Your exhalations formed small clouds in the freezing air as your heart pounded like a drum in your chest. Blood rushed through your veins as you scanned the shadows ahead.
You barely noticed the biting cold. Your eyes were locked on the figure hidden in the darkness.
For a moment, you bent over, bracing your hands on your thighs as you caught your breath.
-‘๑’-
“What do you mean, she’s gone?!”
The white-haired man’s voice rang out sharply over the car’s speakerphone, his focus fixed on the road ahead.
The voice on the other end was trembling, frantic.
“I—I don’t know. Oh god, it’s my fault. I told her she should—”
“Calm down. It’s not your fault,” Hide interrupted, his voice steady but his body tense. Jin-Woo, sitting in the passenger seat, could clearly see the strain in the way Hide gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles whitening, his eyes darting nervously. Still, his voice remained calm—for his sister’s sake.
“Take a deep breath, Nika. I’m coming to pick you up, okay? We’ll find her. I promise,” Hide said reassuringly.
A small, muffled sound of agreement came from the other end of the line before the call ended. Hide exhaled heavily, running a hand over his forehead.
Jin-Woo had been staring out the window in silence, his thoughts a tangled mess, his gaze fixed on the blur of passing buildings.
He was still in Seoul, but something was wrong. He had no connection to his Shadows, no access to his abilities. The System had gone silent, leaving an ominous knot in his stomach. He felt weaker than he ever had before—even weaker than when he was an E-Rank.
Had he made a mistake?
The white-haired man—Hide—was the one who had almost run him over. Out of guilt, he had insisted on giving Jin-Woo a ride so he wouldn’t have to walk all the way home. But their route had taken an unexpected detour when Hide received the call.
“I need to make a quick stop. I hope that’s okay,” Hide said apologetically, glancing over at Jin-Woo.
“It’s fine,” Jin-Woo replied quietly, his eyes still fixed on the dark street ahead.
Hide wasn’t much of a talker, which Jin-Woo appreciated. But now, perhaps sensing the tension, maybe it was time to break the Silence.
“Mind if I ask what’s going on?” Jin-Woo asked, his gaze finally shifting to the driver.
Hide leaned back slightly in his seat, rubbing his forehead with the back of his hand. A half-hearted chuckle escaped his lips.
“My sister and her friend went out. Apparently, they got separated. Probably nothing serious,” he replied, stepping harder on the gas.
Jin-Woo nodded slightly. That sounded exhausting. Thank goodness Jinha wasn’t into partying—it would’ve been a headache he didn’t need.
By breaking several traffic laws, the white-haired man managed to get them to their destination quickly.
Hide slammed on the brakes and parked the car by the roadside when he spotted his sister.
She stood at the entrance of the club, neon signs casting colorful reflections on the ground. A cigarette dangled between her lips, and she held [Y/N]’s jacket in her arms—retrieved from the coat check.
Her eyes darted nervously, scanning her surroundings. The moment she saw her twin brother’s car, she ran toward it as Hide stepped out.
Jin-Woo watched the scene unfold through the side window, clearly hearing their exchange thanks to the slightly ajar driver’s door.
Hide placed his hands on his sister’s shoulders, speaking to her in a calm, soothing tone. The resemblance between the two was striking—save for their height and gender, they were unmistakably twins.
“Take it easy. Start by telling me what happened,” Hide said, his voice steady. His sister stumbled over her words as she tried to explain.
“She was so down again, so I told her to relax and have some fun. I should’ve kept a closer eye on her, but the guy seemed so nice…” she trailed off, the glowing cigarette in her hand entirely forgotten.
Jin-Woo, sitting silently in the car, wondered what kind of strange drama he’d stumbled into. His musings were interrupted when the white-haired girl suddenly bolted.
A young, black-haired man had just exited the club, and she charged toward him.
“You! Tell me where she is!” she demanded, her tone sharp as she nearly leaped at him. The startled man raised his hands defensively.
“Whoa, take it easy,” he said, taking a step back. Before she could get closer, Hide intervened, holding her back.
“Calm down, Nika,” he said, though she fought against his grip.
“That’s the guy! He went outside with [Y/N]!” she exclaimed.
Jin-Woo’s eyes widened at the sound of your name. A sharp, unbearable ache tore through his chest as vivid memories of you filled his mind. Your radiant [E/C] eyes, your angelic smile—the one he had loved so deeply.
Your voice echoed in his head, louder and more persistent the longer you were gone. How many times had he thrown himself into battles, eschewing his shadows, because your silhouette seemed to appear in his mind when adrenaline coursed through him? You had given him strength, even in your absence.
Regret burned through him—leaving you, failing to reach out, being so selfish.
No. It couldn’t be you. He convinced himself it was just someone with the same name.
But his fragile hope shattered when the black-haired man responded to a question Jin-Woo hadn’t caught:
“Oh… You mean the little one? [H/C] hair, [E/C] eyes?”
Without thinking, Jin-Woo’s hand shot to the door handle, and he stepped out.
Hide noticed Jin-Woo from the corner of his eye, his head slightly lowered. Despite his calm demeanor, his posture was tense.
“Where is she?” Jin-Woo’s voice cut through the air like icy arrows, forcing the dark-haired man to turn his attention away from the white-haired woman beside him. She, too, turned to look at Jin-Woo.
“Who are you?” The dark-haired man’s green eyes darted to Jin-Woo, who immediately grabbed him by the collar, yanking him forward.
“Tell me where she is,” Jin-Woo demanded, his voice carrying the weight of his former power as the Shadow Monarch, as though he could crush the man in an instant.
“Hey—calm down,” Hide said, startled by the sudden shift in Jin-Woo’s demeanor. But Jin-Woo ignored him completely.
“Whoa, take it easy! I didn’t do anything to her,” the man stammered, raising his hands to show he had no intention of fighting.
“We just... messed around a little. I didn’t know she had a boyfriend,” he added, apologetically misreading the situation.
Jin-Woo’s eyes widened at his words. Pain pierced his chest at the mere thought of you having any sort of involvement with this man. Anger flared at the idea of him even touching you.
“Besides,” the man continued, “she blew me off before anything serious happened. She ran off like she’d been chased”
The dark-haired man was about Jin-Woo’s height and likely much stronger. A fight without Jin-Woo’s powers would not end in his favor. The only reason the situation hadn’t escalated was the stranger’s defensive stance.
For a brief moment, Jin-Woo’s grip on the man’s collar tightened, his gaze piercing. But the sincerity in the man’s voice was evident, so Jin-Woo reluctantly let go.
“Who the hell even ARE you?!” the white-haired woman snapped, her lavender eyes burning with intensity. She had just been released by her brother and now glared at Jin-Woo.
When Jin-Woo looked at her, realization struck within her. His Appearance fitted the one [Y/N] gave her.
“YOU!” she spat, pointing an accusatory finger mere inches from his face.
“Do you even know how much you hurt her? How much she suffered because of you?!” Her voice trembled with fury as she threw the rhetorical question at him. She wasn’t waiting for an answer; her anger didn’t need one.
“How dare you show up here after a whole year?!”
Jin-Woo held her gaze, unflinching, but for the first time in a long while, he felt powerless. It wasn’t just his lack of strength – no, her rage overwhelmed him, her emotions exposing just how much you meant to her.
He stared at her coolly, but her words cut through him like a thousand tiny knives. What had he done? What on earth had happened?
The thought of how you must have felt had already cost him countless sleepless nights. But now, faced with the real consequences of his neglect and selfishness, it hit him harder than ever before.
Suddenly, the Architect’s words made sense – how he had said you’d left willingly.
Jin-Woo froze. His stomach churned, a dreadful feeling settling deep within him.
He had followed the Architect’s trail to stop him, but by the time he arrived, the Architect was gone – and now, so were you. It couldn’t be a coincidence. He had to find you before he did.
The guilt and regret eating away at him wouldn’t ease as long as he knew you were safe. But the guilt he’d feel if something happened to you? That would destroy him.
He took a sharp breath, shoving aside the rising panic that crept into his entirely human body.
“Stay out of this. I’ll find her,” he said, turning to leave. But a rough grip stopped him mid-step.
“Wait!” the white-haired woman barked. Her voice was firm, but she let go of his coat as soon as he turned toward the direction the dark-haired man had pointed out.
Jin-Woo tuned out her loud protests, vanishing into the streets. His steps quickened.
At least his physical conditioning hadn’t failed him. Mana or not, his rigorous training paid off.
He sprinted through the dark streets, his breath forming clouds in the icy air as his sharp eyes scanned his surroundings. It was 2 a.m., and the streets were deserted. The dark night sky stretched endlessly above the city, stars visible despite the light pollution. But Jin-Woo didn’t notice.
His heart pounded wildly in his chest, his palms sweaty. With every passing minute, the panic threatening to overwhelm him transformed into fear, clouding his rational thoughts. He couldn’t think straight at the idea of something happening to you
You were strong – he knew that. He’d fought beside you. But in this world, where neither of you seemed to have powers, and with no knowledge of your current condition, anything could happen.
And it would all be his fault. He could live with he blame that he left you – that he hurted your feelings. But he would never be able to forgive himself if something happened to you.
He froze when he heard a muffled scream and felt a brief flicker of mana. His head snapped toward the source, and he pivoted on his heel, his body instinctively going on high alert.
“Please, just hold on a little longer, [Y/N],” he muttered, his feet carrying him in the direction of the mana surge.
-‘๑’-
Breathless, you stared at the shadowy figure stepping out of the darkness.
Could it really be him?
“Jin-Woo?” you whispered, your hoarse voice barely audible.
But your hopes shattered when a tall figure stepped into the dim streetlight.
It was a man, perhaps in his early to mid-thirties. His hair gleamed a fiery orange, and his dark red eyes sent a shiver down your spine.
Your hand instinctively clutched your aching chest, the old wounds flaring at the realization that it wasn’t Jin-Woo.
How foolish you felt – incredibly foolish. You’d run here as fast as you could, all because of a feeling. A naive hope.
A hope that the unrealistic scenario you’d played out in your head thousands of times might actually come true.
That you’d get your happy ending – or at least the chance to explain yourself, to cast off the burden of guilt and regret weighing on your shoulders.
Why had you been so unbelievably stupid? Hadn’t you learned anything? Who else but you would be foolish enough to run through the streets in the middle of the night, dressed lightly, with no phone – all because of a feeling?
Your body trembled, the cold raising goosebumps on your skin. You swallowed back your tears, lowering your head.
It suddenly felt like every ounce of strength had drained from your body.
,,Disappointed?’’, the voice rang into your ear.
"Uh... uhm, sorry. I was expecting someone else," you said, feeling a little embarrassed as the stranger approached you with slow, deliberate steps. But...
You looked at him, and the smile on his lips sent a shiver down your spine. Who was he?
Something about his presence felt familiar, yet you couldn't sense any Mana from him. Still, you were certain he had been the source, he seemed... out of place, almost inhuman.
"Oh, don’t tell me you don’t recognize me?" he asked with feigned surprise, glancing down at himself as though he were just now noticing his appearance. His hands reached for a strand of his orange hair, which he stroked thoughtfully with his thumb.
"Fascinating. I didn’t expect to get such a realistic body," he said, his red eyes locking onto yours again.
Your confusion seemed to amuse him. What was he talking about?
"Come on, [Y/N], use that little brain of yours," he laughed, his steps slow and deliberate as his red eyes gleamed at you challenging.
No matter how hard you thought, you couldn’t make any connection. He knew your Name…
He was now standing in front of you, looking down with that same unsettling smile.
Clearly, he had grown tired of waiting. His red eyes sparkled, and his voice distorted as he spoke:
"Do you really want to leave the game? Yes or no?" he asked playfully.
Your eyes widened in pure shock at his words, at the distortion in his voice—it sounded exactly like...
"The Architect?"
Your voice trembled as you voiced the thought aloud. That couldn’t be.
The sheer shock on your face seemed to excite him. He relished every ounce of your fear and disbelief.
"Bingo!!! But you can call me by my real name. I think it’s only fair, given your naive foolishness saved my life. Thanks for that, by the way," he said casually, his voice dripping with mockery as you stared at him, dumbfounded, unable to process his words.
This couldn’t—mustn’t—be true. Kandiaru, the Architect of the System—the one Jin-Woo had eliminated after Ashborn denied him access to the System. How in the world had he ended up in your world? Did this mean Jin-Woo had lost? How had the timeline gone so awry when you’d gone to such lengths to prevent exactly that? You didn’t even want to imagine what this meant for Jin-Woo.
"How—" you began, but he cut you off immediately.
"Oh, do you think it was just a coincidence that you ended up in our world?" he asked with a smirk, disdain evident in his voice.
"I needed someone knowledgeable—but not too knowledgeable. And your disgustingly kind heart? That was just the icing on the cake," he said, his fingers gripping your chin and tilting your head up, forcing you to look at him.
"Through your world, I saw my future and devised a Plan B to ensure I’d survive."
Slowly but surely, his facade of calm began to crack. His piercing gaze and the unhinged grin spreading across his face triggered every instinct in you to flee.
The alcohol clouded your thoughts, but even in this state, you felt a shiver run down your spine—a strong sense of danger.
You needed to run. Now. But your body wouldn’t move.
"It was only a matter of time before your love for him forced you to make a choice. After all, there’s no future for you and him," he continued as you stood there, helpless to do anything but listen.
"And with that, you weakened him—severely. Longing is such an ugly emotion, isn’t it?" he whispered, pulling your face closer to his. His grip was unyielding, and any resistance you managed was useless.
The gears in your head began to turn. He had... used you from the very beginning? Known all along that you’d return with a broken heart, leaving Jin-Woo vulnerable?
No, he hadn’t just known—he’d banked on it. He had meticulously planned everything, using you as a pawn for his own survival.
"If it were up to me, I’d have handled things differently, but it was hard enough keeping my intentions hidden from Ashborn. Truly tedious," he muttered, clearly irritated at the thought of the Shadow Monarch, who had tasked him with finding a suitable human.
"But no matter. I can just as easily plunge your world into chaos," he laughed, gazing up at the dark night sky—until your hand gripped his wrist, pulling at his sleeve.
His laughter stopped abruptly as his eyes darted down to you, his head tilting to the side.
"Hmm?" he asked, amused by your defiance.
Your actions were no longer rational, driven instead by a simmering rage. Deep within, it boiled and churned. All the pain and effort... for nothing?
"Oh no, did I make you angry?" he taunted, mockery lacing his words.
"You’re a filthy bastard," you spat, your [E/C] eyes glaring fiercely at him. You couldn’t hold back anymore.
For a brief moment, Kandiaru looked surprised before bursting into laughter.
"Oh, oh, such harsh words from such a pretty mouth."
He leaned down, his hot breath brushing against your face as his fingers dug painfully into your chin. His eyes roamed over your form, taking in your exposed skin and the black dress that hugged your curves.
"I can see what he sees in you," he said with a wicked grin.
That was the last straw. Without thinking, you swung at him. Your fist collided with his open palm as he released your chin to block your weak punch.
He gripped your hand tightly, the pressure forcing your fingers to ache as you let out a pained gasp and dropped to your knees.
"Know your place, human. The only reason you were ever strong was because of my power—but here, you’re nothing. Just another insignificant human among many."
The playful tone in his voice vanished as if a switch had been flipped. His gaze turned icy, his voice cold as he looked down at you.
Your bare knees scraped against the rough asphalt. He eased the pressure slightly—enough to avoid breaking your fingers—but his words burned themselves into your mind.
He was right. You had no real power, no special abilities. You were just a human. A powerless, ordinary human.
He let go of you, obviously not wanting to deal with you any longer. As he turned his back to you, every fiber of your being screamed at you to stop him—no matter how.
“Wait,” your voice trembled slightly as you got back on your feet, the cool night wind brushing against your bare legs.
He sighed, clearly annoyed by your persistence, but turned his head slightly in your direction. “What now?” he asked gruffly, throwing you a sidelong glance.
“What… happened to Jin Woo?” you asked then. You had to know—had to know if he was okay. He couldn’t have lost to him. That just couldn’t be true.
The Architect paused for a moment, as if thinking. Then, a smile returned to his lips. He could tell you anything, and you would believe him.
“Oh, right. I should pass on his last words,” he said, his voice growing quieter.
“Although… he never got the chance to say them.”
Click.
His words flipped a switch in you. Overwhelmed with anger, you charged at him. Every part of your body wanted to tear him apart, even though you knew you didn’t stand a chance.
With a loud scream, you stormed toward him, your hands clenched into fists—your body tense.
“Oh, man,” Kandiaru muttered, rolling his eyes as he lazily prepared to block your feeble attack. But to both his and your surprise, your punch carried far more weight than the last one.
So much so that he stumbled back a step, staring at you in confusion.
It was nothing compared to your former strength, but the fury and adrenaline gave you power. And apparently, his body wasn’t as strong as the one he had in his own world.
“You’re really starting to get on my nerves,” the Architect growled, his expression darkening with irritation. He was slowly but surely losing his composure.
“I really hoped I wouldn’t have to kill you,” he sighed, reaching behind him.
A shimmering dagger appeared, its blade catching the light of the streetlamp as he moved.
Your eyes widened at the sight—it bore a resemblance to Baruka’s dagger, but this one was deep red.
“That’s enough,” he said, and in an instant, the weapon in his hand began to pulsate. The mana flowing from it was the same as the one that had drawn you here in the first place—but now, it was far stronger.
He didn’t give you time to think. He lunged at you.
Unlike his strength, his speed wasn’t inhuman, which allowed you to dodge his strike.
The blade grazed your cheek, and your back hit a wall painfully as you tried to evade.
His crimson eyes locked onto you, the grin returning to his face as he saw the fear in your eyes.
Your heart pounded wildly in your chest, terror flooding your body as you stumbled to the side. The dagger embedded itself into the wall where your head had just been.
He really intended to kill you—out here, in the open!
Blood trickled down your cheek as you broke into a sprint, his footsteps echoing right behind you.
“Come on, [Y/N], don’t make this harder than it has to be,” his manic voice called out from behind, steadily catching up.
Your legs grew heavy as you ran through the alleys, panic gripping your throat. Was there really no one around? No one to help?
The fear was suffocating. The walls to your left and right hemmed you in—you had no choice but to keep running straight.
But his steps drew closer, and when he caught up to you, you saw the dagger flash toward you from the corner of your eye.
Your life flashed before your eyes—the last image in your mind was that of the black-haired Hunter.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered faintly as your foot twisted, causing you to lose balance.
Resigned to your fate, you were weightless for a brief moment—only a fraction of a second. You squeezed your eyes shut, bracing for the pain.
But the pain never came.
Instead, your body collided with something hard and warm.
An arm wrapped around your waist, pressing you tightly against the warm figure in front of you.
Your cheek rested against soft fabric, beneath which a warm body rose and fell with irregular breaths.
“Get your hands off her.”
Your entire body reacted to the voice. The chest you were pressed against vibrated as he spoke, and your eyes flew open.
Tears welled up in your eyes, darting upward.
The familiar scent filled your nose, the warmth spreading through your chilled body instantly.
It was him.
You wanted to look at him, to confirm that he wasn’t an illusion—but he held you firmly in place.
Warm blood ran down his arm, dripping onto the ground beneath him. The sharp pain coursed through his entire arm, but it was nothing compared to the relief he felt as he held your body against his. The warmth that flooded him as he inhaled your scent. His body had longed for this for so long. The deep hole in his chest stopped aching.
Kandiaru didn’t hesitate for a second. He pulled the dagger free and jumped back several steps,
“How did you—?” Kandiaru began, disbelief laced in his voice.
Jin Woo, however, simply glared at him darkly, his eyes narrowed to slits and his arms protectively wrapped around you. Not for a second did he let any weakness show, despite his lack of abilities.
Only when the orange-haired man retreated slightly did Jin Woo turn his half-focused attention to you.
“Are you alright?”
The tone of his voice, directed at you, was gentle and warm. You had almost forgotten how it felt when he spoke to you like that.
You pulled away slightly to look at him, your [E/C] eyes brimming with tears.
He hadn’t changed a bit—only his eyes hinted at the deep sorrow and suffering your disappearance had caused.
In contrast, you had changed a lot. You had lost weight, your cheekbones were more pronounced, and the dark circles under your eyes spoke volumes Jin Woo didn’t need to read to see that you hadn’t fared any better than he had.
So many sleepless nights, so much unnecessary pain, so much longing and desire that had haunted you both equally.
His hands now rested on your shoulders, and you noticed the blood on his arm. Worry surged through you, but the gentle pressure he applied—wordlessly telling you it was okay—brought your attention back to his face.
All at once, everything came rushing back—all the words you had never been able to say.
“Jin Woo, I—”
You wanted to beg for his forgiveness, to tell him how terribly you had behaved and how foolish you had been.
The black-haired man interrupted you with his index finger pressed gently to your lips, silencing you softly. His lips curved into a faint smile.
His eyes told you everything you needed to know in that moment. Even after all this time, you still understood him without words.
A hot tear rolled down your cheek, dampening it before dripping off your chin. You nodded in understanding.
It could wait. For now, the most important thing was getting both of you out of here in one piece.
The Architect, meanwhile, had quickly recovered after realizing that Jin Woo no longer radiated any mana. In this world, he was weaker than even an E-Rank.
“Jin-Woo Sung,” Kandiaru called, his eyes flickering with pure murderous intent as he lunged forward, dagger in hand, its blade pulsating.
“It’s my pleasure to cut you to pieces,” he laughed as he charged at you both.
Jin Woo tensed and pushed you behind him, ready to somehow fend off the attack. His reflexes might no longer be those of an S-Rank Hunter, but he still had close combat experience and enough muscle strength.
The energy radiating from the blade was palpable in the air—electrifying and oppressive.
Everything happened so fast, you had no time to react. The black-haired man shoved you aside with gentle force, pushing you out of the line of fire.
You stumbled but managed to catch yourself in time to avoid falling.
Wide-eyed with fear, you spun around.
Jin Woo had deflected the attack with a skillful move, pushing the orange-haired man’s hand upward at the right moment.
Tension gripped your body, and you sucked in a sharp breath.
Your head darted around, searching for ANYTHING that could help you.
Jin Woo could do nothing but block the Architect’s relentless attacks. Kandiaru struck with brutal force, slashing with the dagger in his other hand.
More cuts appeared on the Hunter’s skin as he was forced back. Kandiaru gave him no reprieve, and you could see sweat gleaming on Jin Woo’s forehead. His movements slowed as the fight dragged on. He couldn’t hold out much longer.
Jin Woo slammed into one of the parked cars as the Architect grabbed him by the throat and threw him. Jin Woo was hopelessly outmatched.
Blood clung to his forehead as Jin Woo’s eyes briefly flicked toward you before focusing again on the orange-haired man, whose wild grin remained as his red eyes sparkled with malice.
He struggled against the grip on his neck, which tightened, choking the air out of him as Kandiaru pressed him harder against the vehicle.
A sharp pain shot through the back of his head, and a choking sound escaped his throat as the lack of oxygen began to affect his brain. His vision blurred, and he felt the burning in his lungs.
This was it. For the third time, he was losing to this monster, but this time, it would be the last.
Kandiaru raised his weapon, holding Jin Woo firmly in place.
“It’s been a pleasure,” he laughed, ready to strike, when suddenly his grip loosened, and he was shoved to the side.
You had thrown yourself against him with all your might, sending him staggering.
Your body hit the cold asphalt hard, scraping your hands and knees as a searing pain shot through your arm. Kandiaru also met the ground—the force of your impact had hit him with full strength.
Jin Woo’s lungs filled with air again, adrenaline pumping blood through his body. Suddenly, he could see again, gasping for breath.
The dark red dagger clattered across the cold ground, sliding several meters away, but the Architect quickly scrambled to his feet and grabbed his weapon.
“You damn whore,” he growled, his psychotic grin replaced by pure rage, his focus now on you.
Jin Woo had also gotten back to his feet, his entire body aching with pain. He took a brief moment to overcome the stabbing headache.
This human body severely limited him, but his will to protect you drove him forward.
You were a good distance away from him, and with his battered body, every step felt like twenty.
You gasped in pain, your knees burning like fire and refusing to cooperate as Kandiaru set his sights on you.
Fear flooded your senses, robbing you of reason and freezing you in place as the Architect charged at you, dagger in hand, its tip glowing brightly with small bolts of lightning sparking from it.
“[Y/N]!” Jin Woo’s sharp cry reached your ears as he realized he wouldn’t make it in time to save you. His voice trembled as he stretched out his hand toward you—but it was in vain.
You didn’t even have time to scream. All you could do was reflexively close your eyes.
The faint hum of an engine barely reached your ears.
An ear-piercing screech enveloped your body, bracing itself for incoming pain—but none came.
Jin Woo stood frozen, his wide eyes trembling as his hand quivered at what had just unfolded before him.
For the moment, nothing else mattered to him except you. You were still sitting motionless on the ground.
‘’[Y/N!]’’, you didn’t react.
Without hesitation, he hobbled toward you, dropping to his knees and placing his hands on your shoulders, shaking you gently.
“[Y/N]!”
No response.
“Can you hear me?!” Jin Woo’s usually calm voice trembled with fear. Unknowingly, he held his breath.
Finally, your eyes fluttered open, and your [E/C] irises met his stormy gray ones. The tension visibly melted from his face as he let out a shaky breath. Relief washed over him like a tidal wave, but you still said nothing.
You blinked a few times, dazed and confused.
“What?” you whispered faintly, your mind struggling to process what had happened.
Jin Woo’s worried expression softened further, and without warning, he pulled you into his arms, holding you tightly against his chest.
“I… I thought…” His voice cracked, and whatever words he meant to say dissolved into silence. The walls he had painstakingly built around his heart during your absence crumbled entirely. His body trembled, and his embrace tightened.
Never in all the time you had known Jin Woo had you seen him so consumed by fear.
As the shock in your own body subsided, you, too, began to sob uncontrollably. Your hands clung to the fabric of his black shirt as you returned his embrace.
The two of you clung to each other like drowning souls, finding solace only in each other.
Abruptly, Jin Woo pulled back. Your tear-filled eyes questioned the sudden separation until he cupped your face with his hands and pressed his lips to yours.
Finally.
He had waited too long for this moment, envisioned countless scenarios where it might happen, and convinced himself repeatedly that it had to be perfect. But now he understood—it didn’t need to be perfect.
The moment was messy, far from ideal. You were both battered and bruised, covered in blood and sweat, adrenaline still coursing through your veins.
And yet, that kiss was the most beautiful thing Jin Woo had ever experienced.
All the longing, the yearning, and the love he had carried for you poured into that single, imperfect kiss.
Tears streamed down your face once more, but this time they were tears of joy.
It felt as though his love seeped into the cracks of your heart, slowly but surely filling every void and healing every wound.
You only broke apart when a voice disrupted the moment.
A quick exchange of glances was all you managed before both your heads turned toward the source of the sound.
“HOLY SHIT, NIKA! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!” a male voice yelled as a car door swung open.
Only now did you notice the lifeless body lying on the ground, orange hair splayed in all directions.
Hide tugged at his hair, staring in wide-eyed disbelief at the unmoving figure in front of his car, then at his sister climbing out of the driver’s seat.
“Dear brother,” Nika began in a calm, angelic tone, inhaling deeply.
“DID YOU MISS THE PART WHERE HE WAS THREATENING [Y/N] WITH A FREAKING GLOWING KNIFE?!” she screamed, her tone switching to pure outrage as she glared at her brother.
“YOU CAN’T JUST MOW HIM DOWN!” Hide yelled back, utterly floored by her reckless driving and lack of judgment.
,,OF COURSE I CAN, DIDN'T YOU SEE??!'', she yelled back.
“WE’RE BOTH GOING TO JAIL! How the hell do you plan to explain this to the cops?!” he paced frantically, running his hands through his hair.
But Nika ignored his panicked questions entirely, her focus shifting as she spotted you and Jin Woo. Without hesitation, she sprinted toward you.
“[Y/N]!!!” she cried, her voice thick with emotion, throwing herself to the ground beside you and wrapping her arms tightly around your neck. Jin Woo had to shuffle aside to avoid the collision.
She clung to you desperately, sobbing uncontrollably.
“I’m so sorry,” she wept, pulling you even closer.
Your tear-filled eyes drifted to Jin Woo, who gave you a soft, knowing smile.
You felt nothing but overwhelming gratitude that everyone was safe.
-‘๑’-
“Take good care of her,” Nika said firmly, releasing you from her embrace and shooting Jin Woo a stern look.
He paused briefly, his gray eyes locking onto yours before he gave a gentle nod.
“With my life.”
A faint smile tugged at your lips as a blush crept onto your cheeks. Jin Woo’s sweetness still left you in awe, and it was hard to grasp that all this love was directed at you.
It had been a week since Jin Woo had entered your world, and now it was time to return home.
The Architect’s body had not been human; it dissolved into mana before merging with his dagger upon his death. That blade turned out to be the System, manifest in an object, and it allowed Jin Woo to create a Gate back to the Hunter world.
Explaining this to Nika and Hide had been…challenging. Even after witnessing it themselves, disbelief lingered in their expressions. Without the firsthand evidence, they might have deemed you insane.
As for destiny? The events that unfolded proved that the System’s claim of inevitability wasn’t absolute. Its deletion was imminent, and you now believed you could shape your own story.
Jin Woo, however, wasn’t leaving anything to chance.
He refused to let you out of his sight, constantly staying close and cherishing every moment together. “For all the lost time,” he would say.
Now, you both stood before the Gate Jin Woo had conjured. The Twins in front of you.
“Go on, before I start bawling,” Nika said, wiping at her teary eyes. Leaving her behind hurt, but you had to return. There was still so much left to do, so many monsters to fight.
What mattered most, however, was that you were together again.
You nodded, biting your lip to hold back tears.
“Shall we?” Jin Woo extended his hand.
Without hesitation, you intertwined your fingers with his, meeting his eyes. His reassuring squeeze grounded you.
Together, you stepped through the Gate, returning to the Hunter world.

Yeah so I just finished the arc and what the hellllll. I’m gonna be thinking abt this one
WHAT THE ACTYSL FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#(chimera ant arc spoilers in tags)#startinggggggggggggggggggggggggggg#now#ok so.#as I said in the tags of the original post. the gon and pitou fight. what.#also. ‘we’re just as bad as the ants. no. we’re much much worse’ WHAT THE FUCKKKKKK. RADIATION POISONING???#like I’d seen a little of the arc before but probably no more than like 10-15 episodes#so going into this my main impression of these ants was scary!! dangerous!! eating humans!!#but then seeing them slowly learn and like. care for each other. get to the point where they could respect humans despite having more power#seeing the depth of the guards’ care for the king and how they were willing to do anything and everything for him.#seeing that some of them still had human memories and started remembering their past lives as time went by#and meruem’s transition from a being who only cared about himself to one who cared about komugi.#his questioning why he was born and what his name was.#and how in the end all he wanted was to play gungi with komugi in his last moments.#the way she was so happy to find someone who would value her for her#the queen desperately confirming her son was ok in her dying moments and having her last request be to tell him his name#like I knew on some level the ants were just doing what they needed to to survive#but bc some of them enjoyed killing humans it was hard to hold on to emotionally#but then it points out human corruption and greed and how humans are really doing the same things#the fucking bomb being not only powerful enough to nearly kill meruem the first time but also full of radiation#so meruem and everyone around him were guaranteed to die whether it was quickly or somewhat more slowly and painfully#also. back to the pitou battle. the juxtaposition of gon the mc going completely off the rails and summoning all the power he’ll ever have#in order to revenge kill pitou and pitou nen-puppetting their own corpse even after death#in an attempt to run out gon’s power and keep meruem safe#while meruem after realizing he was dying instead of trying to take as many humans as he could out with him#he just calmly asked palm to tell him where komugi was so he could spend his last few hours playing gungi with her.#and then he told her about being contagious so that she could leave before it was too late if she so desired.#like what the fuck. something about how everyone is capable of great good and great evil. especially on behalf of people you care about.#and the recognition of value and the recognition of similarities despite differences between the humans and the ants.#like wtf actually. oops this is tag limit & I didn’t even say everything but crazy fucking arc I’m gonna be thinking about this one I think

Echoes of Eywa's Child.
chapter 2.
(Neteyam x Human!Reader series)
Tumblr media
Pending...Pending...
Date: August 10th,2174.
Location: Marui,High Camp,Mons Veritatis,Hallelujah Mountains,Pandora.
Time: 1:56 PM.
Life had always demanded more of me. As the eldest son of Toruk Makto the 6th, I was born into expectations as heavy as the mountains, molded by a legacy I had no choice but to carry. For as long as I could remember, my path was laid before me—protector, warrior, leader, big brother. It was a path carved in blood and sacrifice, one I couldn’t veer from even if I wanted to.
The war had changed everything. When the RDA returned when I was only 15,four years ago, they came with the same greed, the same hunger to strip Eywa’s creation of its breath. Their machines burned forests and poisoned rivers, their soldiers brought death with cold precision. But the war wasn’t just an enemy out there—it had carved itself into me.
I’d come closer to death than I care to admit. Fleeing to the Metkayina clan with my family, away from Quaritch and his puppets, was traumatizing,to say the least.
I always fit in the Omatikaya clan. I was already respected by so many clan leaders across the globe, already seen as a strong-willed,responsible and noble young warrior. The perfect next Olo'eyktan in line. But here...at sea...I was too stubborn to learn the ways of the Metkayina, scared I might lose myself. My ancestors. My traditions. The forest...Everything.
Sooner or later though, you always have to wake up back to reality. The RDA’s ships had pursued us relentlessly, their weapons tearing through the sea and air like the rage of a storm. After saving my siblings and our friend,Tsireya,my brother insisted on saving Spider as well.
I'll admit,I followed my mother's steps in distancing myself away from him as the years went by,though the brotherly bond we have carried ever since childhood lingered like a lost memory. Plus,I couldn't deny Lo'ak anything. Not in that moment.
As soon as we turned our backs to jump into the water,though...I felt it.
I’d hit the water hard, the force ripping the breath from my lungs. I fought to surface, but the panic, the crushing weight of the sea—it almost won.
All I could hear were Lo'ak's desperate cries pulling me on an ilu as he dragged me back to shore, along with the others. When I woke up, the first thing I felt was pain—white-hot and searing, burning across my chest where shrapnel had torn through flesh. The Tsahìk saved me, but she couldn’t erase the scar, jagged and cruel, that now ran from my collarbone to just above my heart, nor the memory that came with it. A bitter reminder of how close I’d come to losing everything.
That scar has stayed with me, a mark of survival, but also of failure. I should’ve been stronger, faster, better. I’m alive, but at what cost? The memory of my siblings’ terror, my parents’ fear—it’s a weight I still carry, even in moments of peace.
Sometimes,I still hear my mother's screams late at night. It's terrifying.
And now, the war feels like a constant shadow, lingering even in the quiet. I’ve learned to keep my thoughts guarded, my fears buried. We're back in the forest, thankfully, but we still live in the Hallelujah Mountains. The clan looks to me for strength, for guidance. They see a warrior who has proven himself time and time again. They don’t see the cracks beneath, the moments when I wonder if I’ve given too much of myself to a fight that may never truly end.
I’m of age now. Been for some time. I went through all the rites of passage, starting with becoming the youngest Omatikaya to make a clean kill on the Sturmbeest hunt, going through Iknimaya, and surviving Uniltaron, the Dream Hunt. After transferring into adulthood, an Omatikaya Na'vi has two things left to do: craft a bow from the wood of the fallen Hometree, and find a mate. Yet I've checked only one thing on the list, and I guess it's obvious which one I'm talking about.
I get it. I'm 19 years old now. Old enough that the elders murmur about a mate, about settling down and adding to the clan’s numbers. My parents don’t pressure me—at least not directly—but I see it in my father’s proud nods, my mother’s quiet glances. They’re waiting for me to choose, to find someone who will stand beside me as I carry the mantle of our people. Not to mention,my brother has already been mated to Tsireya, and some people among the clan are...nosy, to say the least.
But how can I think of mates when my mind is a battlefield? When every time I look at the stars, I see the faces of those we’ve lost? Love feels like a luxury I can’t afford, a vulnerability I can’t risk. I can feel my father breathing down my neck, slowly preparing me with Olo'eyktan training. I don't even want to be the next chief. Not anymore. I’ve buried the idea so deep within me that even the thought of connection feels foreign, and I can't remember the first time I really opened up to someone. They already have their image of me.
Fierce young warrior. Next chief in line. Son of Toruk Makto. Great, right? Why should I ruin that for them?
And yet, there’s a part of me that wonders—when will I be more than this? When will I be something more than a protector, more than a warrior? Is there space for Neteyam beneath the weight of it all?
Tumblr media
The air was thick with the smell of burning metal and the acrid tang of gunpowder. Around me, the sounds of battle echoed through the forest—the hum of RDA machinery, the snap of Na’vi bows, the shouts of humans and my people alike. My heart pounded in my chest, not from fear, but from the weight of responsibility.
My feet barely made a sound as I landed on the roof of the human truck. Beneath me, I could hear their muffled voices, panicked and sharp. They were scrambling, caught off guard by our ambush. Good.
I moved to the edge, my bow drawn and ready, scanning for my next target. That’s when I saw…her.
She was crouched behind a crate, her wide eyes darting around in terror. Her skin was almost glowing in the dim light, and her hands trembled as they gripped a human weapon. She was small, fragile even, compared to the others.
A soldier, perhaps? No, she didn’t move like one. She was scared, out of place. A tablet was in her small and dainty fingers, and it looked oddly familiar, like the ones Max and Norm usually toy with in the lab. So a scientist, then. Doesn’t matter.
I drew my bowstring tighter, the arrow poised to fly. My target was clear, my purpose steady. Until I saw it.
An atokirina.
The seed of the sacred tree floated gently down, its soft glow cutting through the chaos. My breath caught as it hovered near the girl, circling her like it was studying her. And then it landed, just for a moment, on her shoulder. Didn’t this happen to my parents when they met?
Eywa was watching. Yet the girl didn’t notice.
I hesitated, my fingers loosening on the bowstring. This wasn’t normal. The atokirina didn’t just appear without reason, and they didn’t linger around those unworthy of Eywa’s blessing. Yet here it was, touching her—a human.
Her gaze was fixed on the ground, her breathing shallow. She had no idea the seed was there, no idea what it meant, too focused on her own panicked heavy breathing.
The voices of the other warriors faded into the background. For a moment, it was just her, the glowing seed, and me.
I lowered my bow.
I could hear my father’s voice in my head, a memory from years ago: "Eywa sees more than we do, Neteyam. Sometimes, the why is not ours to understand."
“Drop it,” I said, my voice steady despite the conflict brewing inside me.
She looked up, startled, her eyes locking onto mine. Great Mother, what pretty eyes she has. It’s as if I could see her entire soul through them. For a second, I thought she might try to fight, but instead, she set the weapon down on the truck bed. Slowly, carefully.
I studied her. She was different from the others—softer, quieter. And yet, there was something in her eyes that spoke of a hidden strength. And me?Well, let’s just say there was something almost…ethereal and noble in her fear that made me admire her.
“You do not belong here,” I said.
Her lips parted, as if she wanted to respond, but no words came out. The atokirina hovered again, as if to emphasize my point, before drifting off into the trees.
I couldn’t explain why, but I felt a strange pull toward her. Not sympathy—not yet—but curiosity. Eywa had chosen her for something, and it wasn’t my place to question the will of the Great Mother.
The sound of an AMP suit crashing nearby snapped me back to reality.
“Run,” I urged her, my voice low.
“What—”
“Go!” I barked, the command sharper now. She flinched but obeyed, scrambling off the truck and disappearing into the chaos. I cannot let the others see her,or she’ll get an arrow straight to her heart. The Great Mother put this responsibility in my hands, and I simply cannot let her get hurt. It must be a sign.
Tumblr media
When the ambush was over, I retreated with the others, my thoughts still tangled around the human girl. The site was a mess, but at least we did what we had in mind. All of their cargo was either destroyed or stolen, and I doubt they won’t send out search parties for our heads.
Back at our camp, I sat by the fire, staring into the flames thoughtfully. Their dance was mesmerizing, a kaleidoscope of amber and gold licking against charred wood, with hints of blue at the edges where the heat was fiercest. The fire cracked and hissed, tiny sparks shooting upward to join the stars above. It felt alive, almost like Eywa herself whispered through its flickering rhythm.
Yet, even as the flames captivated me, my thoughts were elsewhere. On her. The girl in the forest.
Her scent still lingered faintly in my memory, something soft and sweet, like flowers I couldn’t name mixed with earth after rain. Her big eyes had been filled with fear, yet there had been something else too—curiosity, maybe? Defiance? I couldn’t decide which had unsettled me more. Her delicate frame, so unlike the strength we Na’vi pride ourselves on, seemed breakable, yet her spirit shone through her trembling form.
And then there was the atokirina. A single seed of the great tree had floated between us, its gentle glow bathing her face in an ethereal light. It had hovered briefly, as though weighing something unseen, before drifting closer to her. The moment felt... significant, as though Eywa herself had chosen her. Funny how she did not even notice such a blessing.
I had been ready to draw my bow, my duty clear in my mind. Sky People were a threat. A poison. It doesn’t matter that I share both human and Na’vi ancestors. Neither does the fact that my dad was one of them once. In my eyes,he is Na’vi. Just as everyone part of the Resistance. Yet the sight of her—so pure, so deliberate,so…utterly chaotic and scared—lingers in my thoughts. Something in me shifted then, a quiet nudge deep within my soul. I let her go, even when I knew my parents would question my decision.
Now, as the fire crackled before me, I couldn’t help but wonder: who was she? Why did Eywa send a sign? And why did I feel as though letting her go had set something far greater into motion?
The camp was buzzing with movement. The humans part of the Resistance were all in the biolab quarters, tending to their Avatars’ wounds. Lo’ak, my younger brother, plopped down beside me, his usual smirk replaced by a look of concern.
“You’re quiet,” he said, poking at the fire with a stick. “Sa’eyla said some shit went down. Something happen out there?”
I hesitated. “There was a girl.”
He raised an eyebrow. “A girl? Like, a human girl?”
“Yes,” I said, my voice firm. “And Eywa sent an atokirina to her.”
Lo’ak looked at me, confused, the stick in his hand forgotten. “What do you mean?”
I let out a loud sigh. Why is this interaction with her bothering me so much? “Just as I was ready to fire my bow, an atokirina landed on the head of this tawtute eve. As if telling me to lower my bow.”
“Are you serious?”
“I am.”
He let out a low whistle. “Well, that’s... something.” He leaned closer, his voice dropping. “What are you gonna do about it?”
I shook my head. “Nothing. For now. It’s not like I can do much, anyway.”
“Sounds like someone’s already in over his head,” came Kiri’s teasing voice as she approached from the shadows. She carried a bundle of herbs, her expression curious. “What’s this about an atokirina?”
Lo’ak smirked, scooting over to make room for her by the fire. “Our big brother here almost got bested by Eywa’s will.”
Kiri raised an eyebrow, sitting down. “That sounds interesting. Go on.”
I hesitated, but I knew Kiri’s connection to Eywa might help make sense of this. “There was a human girl. She wasn’t like the others—she didn’t fight. And an atokirina came to her. It lingered above her head. Right as I was about to…to kill her.”
Kiri’s expression turned thoughtful. She set the herbs aside, her hands resting on her knees. “Eywa does not make mistakes, Neteyam.”
“I know,” I said, frustrated. “But why her? She’s... she’s one of them. I have no idea why it’s bothering me so much. It’s like a buzz in my head.”
Lo’ak snorted. “Maybe the Great Mother’s matchmaking now.”
“Lo’ak,” Kiri said sharply, shooting him a look that silenced his grin. Her attention returned to me. “Eywa sees the heart, not the body. Maybe this girl is different. Maybe she’s meant to change something.”
I frowned, staring at the fire as its light danced across the darkened camp. “But how can I trust that? How can I trust her? I don’t even know her name and yet…” I hesitated, running a hand down my face. I really don’t need another teasing remark from Lo’ak.  “Gosh, I don’t even want to think about it anymore. Forget it.”
Kiri smiled faintly, her voice soft. “Sometimes, Eywa doesn’t ask for trust. She asks for faith.”
Lo’ak leaned back, looking between us with a sly grin. “Well, sounds like you’ve got a lot to think about, bro. Or maybe, you’re just scared of a tawtute girl.”
I shot him a glare, but Kiri nudged his arm before I could retort. “Leave him alone, Lo’ak,” she said, her tone amused but protective. “This isn’t something to joke about.”
Her gaze returned to me, her expression serious. “Whatever it is, Neteyam, trust that Eywa will reveal it in time. You’ll know what to do when the moment comes.”
And as the fire crackled between us, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of her words. Whether I was ready for it or not, my path—and hers—was no longer just my own.
Tumblr media
In the days following the ambush, my thoughts lingered on her. I hadn’t told my parents yet. My father, Jake, carried enough weight on his shoulders. Every decision, every strategy, every skirmish—it was all for the survival of our people. He didn’t need my confusion about a single human clouding his focus. And my mother, Neytiri… she wouldn’t understand. Her hatred for the sky people ran deep, forged in blood and loss, and for good reason.
But I couldn’t ignore it.
One evening, I couldn’t sleep. Tossing and turning in my marui, only to be kept awake by my own thoughts. I hated whenever this happened. When no position was comfortable,my skin felt on fire and I would get more annoyed and tired by the second. I got up and slowly made my way through the campgrounds, passing by people alike, lost in their dreams.
What I’d do to be in their place.
Calling for my ikran, I waited as she descended gracefully, her form blending seamlessly with the star-speckled sky. When she landed, I took a moment to rest my forehead against hers, finding comfort in her steady presence. Together, we soared into the night, the cool wind sweeping away some of the weight on my chest.
Our destination was inevitable: the remnants of Utraya Mokri.
Once, long before I was born, this was the site of the great Tree of Voices—a place of profound connection where our ancestors’ memories thrived. But during the war, the humans came and destroyed it, severing that sacred link. In its place, saplings had begun to grow, fragile yet persistent, spreading slowly across the scarred land. They shimmered now, soft bioluminescent light dancing in the dark. It was a bittersweet sight—proof of Eywa’s resilience, but also a reminder of what had been lost.
I landed and dismounted, walking to the center of the grove. The soil was cool beneath me as I sat cross-legged, surrounded by the glow of the saplings. Gently, I wrapped the tendrils of a sacred vine around my queue, seeking solace in even the faintest connection. It wasn’t strong enough to download memories or speak with the ancestors, but it was something—a tether to Eywa. And maybe, just maybe, she would hear me.
The connection came swiftly, a wave of warmth and calm coursing through me, easing the storm within. I closed my eyes, lowering my head.
“Great Mother,” I whispered, my voice trembling. “Why her? Why a sky person?”
The forest seemed to exhale, its life humming softly around me. The glow of the saplings pulsed gently, as if in answer. I tried to silence my doubts, to push past the fear and confusion. My father had always told me to trust Eywa, even when her ways seemed inscrutable. But this... this felt different.
A memory surfaced unbidden—my father’s voice from years ago. He had been telling us about how Eywa had chosen him, a human, to unite the clans. “Eywa doesn’t see as we do, Neteyam,” he’d said. “She sees balance. Potential. She sees what we cannot.”
A force for balance, maybe. For something greater than I could comprehend.
The thought brought both comfort and unease. I opened my eyes to the glow of the saplings, their light steady and unyielding.
“Help me understand,” I murmured, my words barely audible. The forest around me thrummed once more, but no answer came—at least, not in words. Yet the stillness wasn’t empty. It carried something intangible, something that settled in my heart.
Perhaps the answer would come in time. For now, it would have to be enough.
Tumblr media
The jungle was alive with its usual symphony of sounds—the distant calls of viperwolves, the rustle of leaves as a gust of wind swept through the trees. But my focus was razor-sharp, every movement of my body calculated as I followed the humans' trail.
Our scouts had reported another transport heading deeper into the forest, likely bringing more machines or weapons. My father had been clear: Observe, but do not engage. Watch, learn, and then strike if the time is right.
I crouched on a thick branch, hidden by the foliage, my bow resting lightly in my hand. Below me, the humans moved in a tight formation, their vehicles rumbling loudly and their voices carrying through the air. Among them, I saw her again.
She wasn’t dressed like a soldier. Her clothing was simpler, and she carried a small device in her hands, her gaze flicking between it and the terrain around her. She looked… out of place, as though she belonged somewhere quieter, somewhere far from the chaos of this world.
The same tug I’d felt during the ambush returned, stronger this time. But I forced it down.
She’s one of them.
And yet, I couldn’t look away.
We shadowed them for hours, moving through the trees as they trudged through the undergrowth. They stopped occasionally, setting up equipment and scanning the area. The girl seemed focused on whatever task she had been assigned,a small fierce nature in her body, but there was a tension in her posture, a hesitance in her movements.
As the group reached a clearing, my father’s voice came through the earpiece we used for communication.
“Pathfinder, fall back. Let them move on.Over.”
I hesitated. Something wasn’t right.
“Neteyam,” my father’s voice was firmer now. Shit. “Do you copy?”
“Yes,father.” I replied quietly. But I didn’t move.
The attack happened so fast, even I didn’t see it coming.
Viperwolves, drawn by the noise of the humans’ machines, erupted from the shadows. Their snarls shattered the fragile quiet, and the humans scrambled into action, shouting and firing their weapons. Chaos consumed the clearing, the air thick with smoke, fear, and violence.
And in the middle of it all, I saw her freeze.
Her wide eyes darted around, her body stiff as stone. She didn’t run, didn’t fight. Instead, she crouched low, pressing herself against a fallen log, trying to make herself invisible as the chaos surged around her.
I should’ve left. I should’ve followed my father’s orders, retreated into the safety of the trees. But the sight of her, small and vulnerable, anchored me in place. I couldn’t leave her.
Before I realized it, I was moving.
I landed silently behind her, my bow slung over my shoulder as I unsheathed my knife. The viperwolves hadn’t noticed her yet, but it wouldn’t be long before they caught her scent. I could see their noses twitching at the foreign human scent.
“Move,” I whispered, my voice low but firm.
She whipped around. For a moment, she didn’t react, her mouth opening slightly as if to say something. I could see it in her eyes. She recognized me.
“Holy shit,you–”
“Now!” I hissed, grabbing her arm and pulling her up.
She stumbled but followed, her legs moving awkwardly as I led her away from the clearing. The sounds of gunfire and snarls faded as we put distance between ourselves and the fight.
The forest was eerily quiet now, the aftermath of the viperwolf attack leaving a tense stillness in the air. She stood there, staring at me with wide eyes, her breaths coming fast and shallow. I could see the tremor in her hands, the slight quake of her legsfear, exhaustion, or both.
I didn’t know what I was doing. Eywa’s will tugged at me like a strong current, the memory of the atokirina circling her vivid in my mind.
I raised a hand to my throat comm, pressing it lightly as I spoke in Na’vi. “Eagle Eye, I have a situation, over.”
“Holy shit, dude!Where’d you disappear?Over-” My brother’s voice came through, laced with confusion. I figure he fled back with the others. “What’s going on?”
“I found that girl again. The one I told you about. I’m taking her back to camp. Go on without me.Over.” I said, my words clipped. I’ll never hear the end of it.
“What?” Lo’ak’s shock was evident, his voice rising. “Why would you—”
“I’ll explain later. Tell Father and Kiri to meet me. And be ready. Over and out.”
Before Lo’ak could respond, I cut the connection and turned back to the girl. Her gaze flicked between me and the trees, as if she was debating whether to run.
“You’re coming with me,” I said firmly.
Her brow furrowed. “What? No, I—”
I didn’t give her a chance to finish. Stepping forward, I grabbed her wrist—not hard, but enough to guide her—and began leading her through the trees, calling for my ikran. She struggled against my grip.
“Let go of me!Are you fucking insane?!Why did you–” she hissed.
“We need to move,” I said sharply, cutting her off. “The forest isn’t safe for you.”
“Yeah,no shit.” she bit back, panic present in her tone. Does she think I’m kidnapping her?
When my ikran came to us, the girl froze, her eyes widening at the sight of the massive, winged creature. It let out a low growl, its sharp eyes narrowing at her.
“No way,” she said, shaking her head. “I am not getting on that thing.”
“You don’t have a choice,” I said, swinging up onto the ikran’s back and reaching down for her.
She hesitated, but when the distant laugh of a viperwolf echoed through the trees, she grabbed my hand and let me pull her up. She’s so light.
“Hold on,” I said, guiding her arms around my waist.
She muttered something under her breath, but she obeyed.
With a sharp call, I urged my ikran into the air, the wind rushing past us as we soared above the forest.
Tumblr media
The Hallelujah Mountains loomed ahead, their floating peaks glowing faintly in the evening light. I focused on the flight, trying to ignore the growing tension I felt with her pressed against my back.
It wasn’t until we began our descent toward the high base that she spoke.
“You think I don’t understand you?”
Her voice, so sudden, startled me. She was quiet the entire ride and now she speaks?
I twisted slightly to glance back at her, my eyes narrowing. “What are you talking about?”
“When you spoke earlier, in Na’vi. I understood you. You’re taking me back to...to torture me or what?!” she said, her tone biting, but I could sense the fear and tremble in her tone. Feisty little thing.
My heart skipped a beat. She understood? How?
“You speak my language?” I asked, my voice sharp with disbelief.
“You didn’t answer my question!” she snapped, her grip tightening on my waist as the ikran dipped slightly. Fuck,I’m getting lightheaded with the way her tiny hands grip my waist like that. “Why does it matter? Why am I here?”
I didn’t answer immediately. We landed on a wide platform near the high base, the soft thud of the ikran’s claws echoing against the rock. She climbed off quickly, putting distance between us as she glared at me. How do I even explain to her?
“Tell me,” she demanded, her voice rising. “Why did you take me? Why didn’t you just leave me there?”
I slid off the ikran, keeping my gaze steady on hers. “You would have died.”
“I could’ve handled it!” she said, her voice trembling with frustration. Yeah, right. Surely you would have handled dying, little tawtute. “I didn’t ask for your help!”
I took a step closer, my expression hard. “And yet,you were frozen. If I hadn’t acted, the viperwolves would have torn you apart.”
Her anger faltered, and she looked away, her fists clenching at her sides. “I didn’t need saving.”
“You don’t understand this world,” I said, my voice softening. “It’s not like Earth. It will kill you if you’re not careful.”
She looked back at me then, her eyes burning with a mix of anger and something else—something I couldn’t quite place.
“Then why not leave me there?Away from the attack.” she asked quietly. “Why take me with you?”
For a moment, I didn’t know how to answer. The truth was tangled up in feelings I didn’t fully understand myself—in the memory of the atokirina, in the way Eywa seemed to whisper through the forest that she was important. In the way I felt when I stared into her eyes.
“Because we need intel from inside the RDA. And you seemed like a good fit,you know. Small, feisty scientist who didn’t show any signs of a threat. ” I lied, the words slipping out before I could stop them, though I kept a certain amount of smugness in my teasing.
Her brows furrowed in confusion, almost as if she was…offended. “What are you talking about?”
I hesitated, debating how much to tell her. I pet my ikran before I started walking into a cave. “You wouldn’t understand.”
“Try me,” she said, crossing her arms.
Gosh, she’s so infuriating. Maybe I should have left her with the viperwolves. I turn around to her, simply cross my arms in defiance, towering over her small stature with a silent smirk. For a moment, she was observing, her gaze searching mine. I'm too stubborn to talk further. Plus,she's...pretty like this. She let out a sharp laugh, shaking her head. “You’re insane.”
“Maybe,” I said, a faint smile tugging at my lips. She’s got jokes, huh. I like that. “Takes one to know one.”
Her laughter faded, and she looked at me with an expression I couldn’t quite read. “What happens now?”
I straightened, my resolve hardening. “I…don’t know. We’ll figure it out once we get there.”
She didn’t argue this time. Instead, she simply nodded, her shoulders slumping slightly as if the fight had gone out of her.
“And for the record,I’m not going to torture you. We’re not barbarians.”
I heard a weak chuckle leave her lips as she followed behind me,and…it was a pretty sweet sound.
But I knew this was only the beginning. Whatever Eywa’s plan was, it had already begun.

soft yandere!wanderer headcannons
warnings: none
Tumblr media
the wanderer had many names: kabukimono, kunikuzushi, scaramouche, the balladeer.
after he lost a battle with the well-known traveler, he became the wanderer, a puppet with no strings. a puppet with a different style and his very own anemo vision.
he changed for the better and it was all thanks to nahida, the traveler, and you.
you helped him retrieve his memories along with nahida and the traveler.
you helped out only a bit, but still, he was grateful.
he would feel indescribable emotions whenever you were around. at first, he thought there was something wrong with him, but discovered what he was feeling was in fact love.
“love” was a foreign word to him. ever since his birth, he never once experienced love. his creator, the almighty shogun or the god of eternity, saw no worth in him and discarded him like trash.
sure, he had met a few friends, but neither of them filled the void of loneliness in his heart because they either died or abandoned him.
he wanted to forget his past and focus on the present, so he tried his best not to act in a way he would back when he was a harbinger.
he wanted to shower you in gifts as thanks, but that would be a problem since he wasn’t acquainted with the fatui anymore, meaning he had no mora and would have to make mora independently somewhere.
“sc– i mean, wanderer, what are you doing?” you asked, furrowing your brows, as you saw the ex-harbinger behind a fruit stand.
“oh… i’m just trying out a new job... figured i’d have to do something to make a living since i’m not in the fatui anymore.” he felt his face heat up at the sight of you. just one look at you was enough to make him flustered. “so, this is what sumerians do to make mora? sell pieces of fruit?”
”yeah, i guess. you can try selling jewelry too or make mora off of dancing.” you imagined him, an ex-harbinger, dancing for mora. the thought made you chuckle.
“dancing? for mora? how would that benefit anyone?”
“benefit? people just like that sorta stuff. it’s entertaining for them.”
“i see. do you like that sort of stuff?”
the way he asked that question was adorable.
oh no, did you just find him adorable? he literally tried to kill you, nahida and the traveler not too long ago. how could you find him adorable?
“i– i do like watching dances. nilou’s my favorite dancer. i make sure not to miss out on any sabzeruz festivals or just any sumerian festivals.” you rubbed the back of your neck.
“hm.” he looked like he was actually considering it.
“hey, wanderer, (y/n).” nahida greeted, approaching the both of you.
“oh, nahida! it’s nice to see you again.”
“it’s nice to see you too, (y/n). i’d like to thank you once more for your help back then. traveler and i really appreciated the gesture.” nahida smiled at you then turned to wanderer. “how have you been faring, wanderer?”
“tch, it’s you again–“ he stopped, remembering he wasn’t supposed to act like his arrogant, aggressive self before (at least in front of you). “i mean i’m fine. selling fruit isn’t too hard.” it wasn’t as hard as shedding blood every single day.
“i’m glad you’re doing well.” nahida put a hand on her chest.
“well, i got to go now. you guys continue talking. goodluck with your new job, wanderer. see you around, nahida.” you said, giving them a wave, and left before wanderer could say anything else.
“you have feelings for her, don’t you?” nahida noticed his expression turn from soft to irritated. “i can see the longing look in your eyes.”
“shut up. you ruined everything with your presence.” he grumbled.
he watched as you were getting further and further away from him.
you would be his someday. he’d make sure of that. and once you were his, he wouldn’t ever spend a day apart from you. he would treat you so well. he would shower you in gifts (using his self-earned mora), take you out on “dates” (a human activity where you bring your partner to eat somewhere beautiful, he learned) and eventually confess his feelings to you.
if you return his feelings, oh that would make him the happiest puppet alive. he would happily sweep you off your feet and start a brand new life together with you.

Fluff + Angst | Wanderer x GN!Reader Human
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SUMMARY You make him feel human.
CONTENT Angst to fluff, mentions of Wanderer's trauma, mentions of suicidal ideation, he's kinda mean to you at first, CHARACTERS ARE 18+
AUTHOUR'S NOTE THIS IS WAS INSPIRED BY YOU MY POOKIE @thepurestgirll TY FOR BEING SO SWEET ESP BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE MANY MOOTS JFKDS;LAJ I love your fics and aesthetic and I hope to continue to see your content because I will always be here to love and support it >:)
Tumblr media
WORD COUNT: 854
Quiet sobs rack through the empty metal chamber. In the middle sits a man puppet of a man. Clutching the electro gnosis to his chest as his tears pelt the cold floor. Wasn’t this all he ever wanted? He finally has a “heart,” he should feel human, loved, and fit in now, right? But why is he crying? Why does he still feel hollow? Why does he want to give it all up to just be a normal human? Why did his mother create him this way just to throw him aside and make him suffer even more? Why not just have killed him long ago? Should he do it himself? Be free of this wretched body? Be free of all the earthly pain?
So many questions swirled in his mind. His gentle soul has been beat and battered to the point where he doesn’t know the meaning of peace anymore. He’s been alive for so long, chasing the same answer, the same goal. Yet, here he is. So many questions and not a single fucking answer.
Even after all that extra bullshit with Nahida, the traveler, and Irminsul, he only got bits and pieces of answers he needed. He was still lost and hurting, not that he’d ever admit that. So naturally he’s a complete ass to you when all you’re trying to do is help. You’re another adventurer and you often help the traveler when needed. You witnessed a good amount of Wanderer’s tragic journey in Sumeru and afterwards asked Nahida (his mom) if it would be a good idea to try to talk to him. She said yes but that it’d be quite… difficult.
You persevered, though. Through every insult thrown your way, all the times he ignored you, and even the times his attitude almost got you hurt when adventuring. After weeks of it, he found himself here, crying, but this time, in your arms.
He was yelling at you like he usually does but this time it was because you almost got crushed by debris while you two were out on combat commissions. He was telling you how stupid you were, how it would’ve gotten you killed, and how he… couldn’t let it happen. You smiled at him, hearing him say something caring for the first time since you started this whole mission of yours. You walk towards him slowly as he continues to insult you.
“You stupid humans, you never think before you act. Imagine what would’ve happened if I didn’t call out to you to warn you. You-… You’d be dead! I’d spite you because of it! You and your human body, so fucking fragile. Why did I ever want to be like your kind anyways?”
As you close the distance, he gets panicked and confused, shouting at you.
“Why are you even still here anyways?! Isn’t all this too much for you? Why would you want to help someone like me? Don’t you know I’m not human? Why would you want me here? Why would you want to stay? W-why…”
You reach out your arms to slowly envelop him in a hug as his tears well in his eyes. He puts his hands on your shoulders to push you back lightly as if he didn’t want the contact, but he was barely putting up a fight. You both knew that if he didn’t want you to touch him, you wouldn’t even be able to.
“Why… do you even care about me,” he croaked out as his voice started to crack.
“Because I see all the good in you, and I want you to let others see it as well,” you say gently as you pull him close, arms around his waist.
He feels his emotions finally boil over as waves of sadness wash over him. His legs fail under him and you lower the two of you to the grass. He buries his head into your shoulder, sobbing harder as your warmth permeates his body that has only known the cold for so so many years. His arms clutch your head as he stains your shoulder with tears.
You feel so warm. You feel so human. It makes him feel human.
You’ve been taking such good care of him and he doesn’t think he deserves it, but he doesn’t voice it to you, at least not now. You let him cry it out while patting his back. You imagine he hasn’t ever been comforted while crying before and it’s what’s making him cry harder.
You two end the afternoon with him exhausted and you offer to let him rest his head on your legs. You pat his hair as he drifts into sleep, feeling safe for the first time in a long while. The sun warms both your bodies and you bask in it.
You two probably have a lot to talk about when he wakes up. But you stay silent for now. Enjoying the peace that he rarely gets to have. It’s a long healing journey ahead of you two but this puppet man knows that he wouldn’t rather embark on it with anyone else.

I hate to be that person but your drabble about endeavor breaking touya and his s/o apart for the sake of their careers was just so good i can't help but ask if you could possibly make a part 2 😭😭😭 maybe they keep seeing each other in secret or i dunno they both apply for UA and pass and since they stay in the dorms no one can stop them from being together
Omg yesss ofc I’m on it
Summary: after his argument with Enji, Touya sneaks out with you and the two of you decide to keep your relationship secret
(Bonus teen Shiggy bc I need happy endings for him too 👌😩 oh and loml Rumi)
Tumblr media
Touya grinned at you as you waved through the window, crossing the room to let you in. He pulled open the window, grabbing your hand and pulling you through and into a tight hug. He stayed like that for a moment, the feeling of your body against his providing some relief for his anxiety.
“Can you believe this? What’s is being together have to do with success huh?” You complained sheepishly, wrapping your arms around him.
He let out a soft chuckle, ruffling your hair. “Dunno, but I don’t think my old man’ll be too pleased that you’re here” he said dryly, and as if on queue, there was a firm knock at the door. Touya put a finger to his lips, glancing at the door, and back at the window that was still open behind you.
“Touya, open the door, our discussion wasn’t over” Enjis deep and robust voice filling the room through his locked door. “Let’s go” Touya mouthed, tugging you towards the window with a wide grin. “Touya?” Enji spoke again through the door, knocking once more. You couldn’t help but let out a quiet laugh under your breath as Touya pulled you through the window, shutting it behind you with a quiet click.
You had both snuck out like this before, so you both climbed down the tree outside his window with ease, laughing in delight at the booming voice of Enji as he entered Touyas now empty room. Meanwhile, Touya grabbed your hand, running down the street with you as chaos ensued in his house behind them. “He’s gonna kill you for this Touya!” You laughed as you ran behind him, his tight grip on your hand yanking you towards run beside him as he let out a gruff laugh “what more can he do to me huh?”
You didn’t have an answer to that, so you merely laughed once more as he pulled out his phone. “I’ll call Tenko, we can hide there.” Touya suggested and you nodded, the two of you slowing down as you approached a convenience store. “Snacks? Your usual?” he grinned, sitting you down on a bench to catch your breath. You nodded, and he walked in, carrying Enjis credit card with a grin.
——
The two of you ended up at Tenkos house, sitting around playing Minecraft while the two of you figured out how the heck you would get out of this.
“You could just break up like they said” Tenko teased, his suggestion met with boos and scoffs from you and Touya, as well as Rumi, your friend, who’d come to meet you here after you told her what happened. “What so they can treat these two more like puppets than they already did?” Rumi retorted, earning a chuckle from Tenko “I’m only joking… I’d say your only option would be making it into UA-” “that’s easy” Touya scoffed, grinning at you as he leaned back on the couch. “More specifically,” Tenko continued, shooting him a glare “into the same class. They’ve started dorm systems this year, meaning if you two really wanna stay together, without your parents knowing, you need to be in the same class.” He explained “otherwise you’ll be separated 24/7”
At this, you sighed, crossing your arms. Everyone in the room had a powerful quirk, and you all aimed to join UA together when admissions opened, but ending up in the same class might be more tricky than you thought. Touya noticed your sigh, shoving your shoulder with a sharp look. “Hey. It’ll be fine, we’ll manage. When have I ever let you down- don’t answer that” he shot a look at Rumi, who’d held up a hand to answer with a smug grin.
——
Touya returned home to face his fate of being yelled at for the next three hours, and you stayed the night at Rumis house. Unlike Touya, you managed to slip out of trouble by saying Rumi was upset over a breakup and the two of you had an emergency girls night. When the two of you came up with it she was cackling like a mad man, even more so when she found out Touya had been grounded (again)
As soon as admissions opened, the two of you, as well as Rumi and Tenko, signed up for the entrance exam, and, to no one’s surprise, you all exceeded expectations with flying colors.
The worry now was whether or not you’d both make it into the same class.
“I’m in 1A. Makes sense” Touya said smugly as he read his acceptance letter, before glancing over at Tenko, who was grinning. “Same here.” “IGHT BET” Rumi cheered, holding up her letter like it was Simba in the lion king. They assumed that meant she was in too. Touya looked at you, furrowing his brow as he watched you stare at your acceptance letter. “Doll if you don’t open the thing I might burn it.” He said, probably more anxious than you. You nodded sheepishly, pulling open the letter, the paper smooth and firm between your fingers.
You pulled it out, slowly. Accepted. But what class? You pulled it out further, reading word for word. Now Tenko and Rumi were anxious too. You stopped, taking a deep breath as you stared at the envelope, your answer just behind the thin paper. Touya grabbed your hand, gently, sliding closer as he pulled it out the rest of the way, his eyes narrowing as he read the final paragraph.
The room was quiet for a moment, until everyone sighed in relief as they sighted the massive grin on Touyas face as he looked at you. “We’re all in 1A” he grinned, and Tenko and Rumi stood up, cheering along with Touya. You smiled too, joining them in their little celebration, your previous anxiety melted away.
——
It took no time at all to convince your parents to let you stay in dorms. You used Rumi as an excuse, keeping Touyas presence a convenient secret. Touya did the same, and for the first time in ages his dad was actually pleased with him. Touya hadn’t mentioned you in weeks, his gripes and complaints about the arrangement slowed to a stop.
But you best believe that as soon as both your parent’s cars drove away, the two of you were laughing and sitting together with your friends in the common room like the little arrangement had never happened.
I love David Bowie hehe

Can we have Andrew and Reader transforming into half demon?
You can do it with Ashley together with Reader (separately) if you want.
Reader would have been with the Graves family since episode 1, as she was an exchange student but ended up being abandoned along with her Graves siblings.
She would be a cold, relaxed, indifferent person, a little sociopathic, a little temperamental but kind when they meet.
Reader would have been injured in the Hitman confrontation when she went to save Andrew (let's be honest, this kid would never be able to shoot the Hitman the first time with him being all nervous).
So to treat her injuries correctly they decided to use the demon to heal her, the demon doesn't like the idea of healing someone but he decides to heal her but still angry with this 'disrespect' the demon turns her into a half demon (similar to Jennifer Body the film).
That if she wants to stay alive she has to eat human flesh or drink blood.
If I had a nickel for every time I was requested to write a reader who’s an exchange student staying with the Graves Family- I’d have 4 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened 4 times already
Tumblr media
Andrew Graves x Half Demon!Reader
Andrew’s head was pounding
His eyes were wide with terror as he stared down at you in his arms
The events kept playing in his head, over and over like a broken record
He had found the hitman in Ashley’s spontaneously stupid game of hide-and-seek
Although, what was she expecting?
It was an amateur with a gun against a skilled killer with a knife
Of course he wasn’t going to do well!
So, you did the only thing you could think of to save him
Save the boy who you’ve lived alongside since high school
Who’s been nothing but kind and patient to you..
Push him away as the hitman lunged
So, here you lay..
Barely breathing in his arms
While the hitman laid dead nearby
Andrew, in a blind rage finally fired the gun. Draining it dry of any bullets in there in hopes of killing him
And, he achieved his goal
The hitman was dead
And it didn’t look like long til you’d be you…
“Well- you’ve successfully wasted all of our ammo.” Ashley grumbled, picking up her discarded gun. She wiped off any grass blades or dirt that stuck to the pristine silver of it.
If Andrew wasn’t still in shock, he would yell at her. Yell at her for having the audacity to worry more about her gun’s ammo than their dead friend! Yell at her for foolishly trusting him to kill the hitman and then running off! If you hadn’t jumped in, he would be dead…
He should be dead.
Andrew furrowed his brow, tears forming much to his dismay. As he shut his eyes, they fell in twin streams. His hands shook, gripping on to your body as it slowly lost its warmth. He quietly sobbed, trying his best to not make them too loud or pathetic. If he had been better with the gun…if he didn’t hesitate…you would still be…
“Andy!” He felt something cold tap the back of his head, breaking him from his mellow dramatic moment. Ashley stared down at him with frustration, “Come on! Let’s ditch the bodies, someone was bound to hear your bitch crying by now..”
“Are you serious?!” Andrew stood up, still holding you in his arms. He thrusted his arms forward, pushing Ashley back with your dead weight, “Look at her! She’s dying!” He was emotional. Erratic. But he didn’t care.
“I can see that!” His sister pushed his arms back, and Andrew held you close to his chest, “Now put her down before anyone comes by!”
“…no.”
He wasn’t yelling anymore, just staring down at you. Ashley’s eyes widened, before her face became a scowl.
“No?”
“No!”
Ashley, pinched the bridge of her nose, “Okay- yeah- ssuuurreeee! Let’s just carry a dead body around! Want me to stick my hand up her ass and sit her on my lap like a puppet so you can pretend you’re talking with her?” She roughly poked Andrew’s forehead, “Are you out of your fucking mind?!”
“Well I’m not leaving her!” Andrew snapped back, making Ashley flinch ever so slightly. He didn’t seem to care though as he turned his attention back down to you.
Both were quiet for a while, probably longer than they should have because people would be coming by soon to see the commotion. Ashley could see the thoughts running behind her brother’s eyes, clearly thinking of something to fix this…to fix you.
She didn’t understand what the fuss was about though. You were just dead weight before, and now you are literally. Plus, she never liked the looks her brother gave you. You were better off dead in her eyes, and if anyone was going to kick the bucket, it would’ve been you…
But Andrew didn’t want to leave you behind. Sentimental bastard. What was he expecting? You to just- snap out of being dead? It wasn’t that easy!
….or….was it?
Ashley’s hand drifted over the front pocket of her shorts, the imprint of the demon trinket visible. Andrew saw her subconscious motions out of the corner of his eye and perked up. Where hope formed on his face, Ashley scowled.
“No!”
“Give it here!”
Andrew set your body down, lunging for his sister for the trinket. The pair fell to the ground, wrestling one another for the trinket.
“Let! Go!”
“No! It’s mine!”
In the end, Ashley didn’t win. Andrew, for as gangly as he is, was still stronger than her and managed to get the trinket away. He cupped it in his hands, standing up and observing it quizzically. There was an ominous aura to this dream catch esc thing, but he didn’t care.
“The demon..”
“Andrew, no!”
“Let’s take Y/N to the cultists lair—“
“Andrew!”
“Summon the demon—“
“You asshole- are you even listening?!”
“And get her back!”
Andrew grinned from ear to ear, his arms held out at the genius of his plan.
So- this is what it felt like to be Andrew, Ashley lamented. She got why he was such a stick in the mud all the time now.
Before she could object, Andrew was already picking up your body.
“Come on! Let’s go! Everyone should be gone by now!”
Despite Ashley’s insistence that it wouldn’t work and they should cut their losses, Andrew persisted
Eventually the two snuck you into the cultists’ meeting room
Shockingly, everything was still set up from when Andrew had previously visited.
It made for a quick and easy ritual
Ashley’s demon friend was less than happy to be bothered though….
“tAr SoUl….wHaT iS tHiS?”
The dark, red eyed blob stared angrily up at Ashley- who gestured to your dead corpse like a game show assistant would show off a car.
“A body?…”
“I rEqUiRe FrEsH sOuLs..” the demon skittered around the body, prodding it with its tendrils, “tHiS iS aLrEaDy DeAd!”
“I know but-“ Ashley groaned, pointing to Andrew with her thumb, “My dumbass brother draws the line at necrophilia and wants her back.”
“I’m sorry- WHAT?!”
Andrew objected, completely disregarding the fact that they were in the presence of a demon, “Do you REALLY think the only reason I want to bring her back is so I can have sex with her?!”
“Well?” Ashley looked at him blankly, “Isn’t it?”
“…..” Andrew adverted his eyes to the ground, “It’s…partly true…”
“I fucking knew it.” Ashley sighed, completely exasperated by her brother’s idiocy, “I can’t believe you’re using MY demon connections so you can get your dick wet without feeling like a bad person! News flash Annnddyyyyy~” she gave him that shit eating grin she knew he despised, “You’ve done much worse.”
“Shut your whore mouth!”
“Make me pussy!”
“EnOuGh!”
The siblings stopped their bickering, Andrew pausing as he had grabbed the collar of Ashley’s shirt. They stared at the demon, looking more like their parent just scolded them than a demon yelling at them to stop their bickering.
The demon floated very close to Andrew’s face, causing him to release his sister and step back, “yOu WiSh To UsE mY pOwErS tO rEvIvE tHe MoRtAl?”
Andrew nodded.
“tHeN wHaT iS iT yOu OfFeR?..”
Andrew’s face contorted as he tried to think, “Uhhhh…”
Ashley stood behind the demon, smugly smiling at her cornered brother, “Haha! Bet ya didn’t think this far, didya?”
“Shut up woman!—“
Andrew immediately regretted raising his voice, as the demon’s red eyes glowed menacingly- almost staring holes into his retinas. He gulped, wishing he could tell Ashley to call off her guard demon- but that would only make things worse for him. Here he was, with no souls to offer a demon- and the demon already didn’t like him for his foolish request and yelling at his ‘tar soul’.
“wElL?…” the demon broke the silence that wafted through the air.
Andrew’s eyes widened, “O-Okay! Ummm..” he searched his brain for anything, any idea on how to revive you when he blurted out the first thing he landed on, “Souls! I can get you two souls for bringing back Y/N’s!”
“aNd WhErE aRe ThEsE sOuLs?”
“Well, I don’t have them now-“ The demon growled and Andrew tensed, “But! But! I can get them to you very soon! Yeah! How’s that sound?”
The red eyed blob stared at Andrew for a few moments, clearly considering his deal before it turned around and made its way to your corpse, “VeRy WeLl…BuT yOuR fAiLuRe FoR pAyMeNt UpFrOnT wIlL cOmE wItH cOnSeQuEnCeS..”
With those words, the room went pitch black. By the time the fluorescent lights returned, the demon was gone. Andrew lunged for your body, kneeling down beside you.
“Y/N?…” he shook you a little, “Y/N?”
His face faltered for a moment, fear coursing through him before he felt your body move. Your breathing was slow…but you were breathing! He cupped your face in his hands, waiting anxiously for you to open your eyes.
And you did.
And then you spoke.
“..A-….Andrew?”
And like that- you were back!
Sore, with some blood gone
But back nonetheless!
You felt….strange though
Upon coming down from his high of overwhelming joy, Andrew noticed just how cold you were
You didn’t feel chilly at all
But you felt cold to the touch
Along with that, you couldn’t get the taste of blood out of your mouth
It was hard to decipher which was the result of having been a corpse for half an hour…
…or what was from being brought back by a demon
But, Andrew had a debt to pay
So that can be worked out later
Returning to the motel parking lot, the hitman’s car was still there
And no one was around yet
So you took that and set off
You slept most of the ride
It was a rough night of…ya know
Dying
So you deserved to sleep
Though your dreams were…strange
Images of red
Blood spewing as you bit into the neck of a screaming person
You didn’t get a good look at them until their body was a mangled mess of torn limbs with bits of flesh taken out of them
Your face stained with blood
The delicious sensation filling your mouth
At first you chalked this up to a guilt dream
You feeling bad for eating that cultist a while back
But…no
This wasn’t a guilt dream
You never feasted on that man like an animal
You never went back for seconds, depraved of the taste
And in those dreams you never felt what you were feeling in that moment
…desire for more
Your concerning dream was interrupted by a sudden sensation of pain as a projectile was thrown at your head.
“Ow!” You sat up, your hand shooting to the assaulted spot on your head, “What the?..”
“I told you to wake her!” Andrew hissed.
“I did!” Ashley objected, “My shoe woke her up!”
“You little..”
Andrew’s grumbling trailed off, turning to look at you from the driver’s seat. You gave him a reassuring nod to let him know you were okay. He sighed in slight relief. How that the- initial pain in your head was gone, you looked out the window to see just where you three were. The backseat passenger window showed you a parking with cars lining the spots as far as you could see.
“Where…are we?” You asked, turning back to look at the siblings, “And what are we doing here?”
“Cheapskate here says it’s free parking.” Ashley replied bluntly, not even giving Andrew’s annoyed look a glance.
You looked between them, “Don’t we- need to pay that demon back? How’s free parking going to get us two souls?”
“Go on Annnndddd—“ Ashley paused as Andrew gave her a look, “…drew. Andrew. Tell Y/N your brilliant plan!”
Andrew sighed, resting his hands on the wheel as he tried to explain the plan, “Alright, so…we need two souls for that demon. We- are also running low on money. So…we’re going to kill two birds with one stone.”
You nodded, though his and Ashley’s drastically different expressions told you there was more. So- you prodded.
“And those birds arreee?”
“…our parents.”
The rational thing was to claim that they couldn’t do such a thing! Their parents took you in after all!
…although you’d be lying
Mrs Graves really only agreed because she’d get a cut of the exchange student program funds
Other than provide you a roof, she ignored you like she did her other children
Same goes for her husband, who didn’t do much of anything beside give you awkward hellos before he went to work
So you weren’t really against robbing and killing them
The events played as normal, pretending the fire that “killed everyone” was sensational news coverage and you all were fine!
You’re “politely” told to go to bed early, bunking with Ashley in the basement while Andrew took the couch.
Though, being honest…
You didn’t trust yourself around Ashley alone
Ever since you’ve been alive you’d had this…animalistic urge to tear into someone like a carnivorous animal
To hold them to the ground and watch the light leave their fear filled eyes as you tore out their throat
And Ashley was defenseless
Sleeping just inches from you in the spare bed
Her gun was empty, you knew this
So she wouldn’t shoot you
So you did the both of you a favor, and got out of there
Your eyes lingered on the basement stairs, the bed and Ashley’s sleeping form still very in much in your view. You had to tear your eyes away to avoid running back down there and giving in to the voice in your head telling- no, demanding you devour her.
Your relationship with her was complicated enough, and you knew with enough convincing you would. She was always cold with you, trying to tear a wedge between you and Andrew as you both got closer. But she also was the closest thing you had to a sister or any actual familial connection. You don’t think you could bear that guilt.
You drew your eyes to the couch, Andrew fast asleep on it. You could trust yourself around him, you know you could. The voice had nothing against Andrew. So you crossed over to the couch, kneeling down beside it.
Andrew’s unconscious state was fragile, stirring almost immediately as he felt a presence join him. His eyes opened with some strain, his voice littered with tiredness.
“Y/N?…” he sat up, rubbing his eyes, “Did Ashley kick you out?..”
“No.” You responded. You debated telling him why you were here if Ashley hadn’t kicked you out, but what could you tell him? ‘Hey I wanted to eat your sister’? You couldn’t do that. So instead you asked, “Can I sleep with you tonight?”
A small blush painted Andrew’s cheeks, as he nodded slightly. He pulled the covers aside, scooting closer to the back of the couch so you’d have room. You climbed onto the couch with him, your arms wrapping around his torso. You felt him shiver from the closeness, almost forgetting how cold you were. You didn’t care though. You craved the closeness more than you craved tearing into Andrew’s flesh and eating his heart in front of him.
You furrowed your brow, pushing those thoughts down as Andrew slowly covered you two up.
“You…alright?” Andrew tentatively asked. Obviously you weren’t alright, by this time last night you were dead.
You racked your mind about what to say, nuzzling into his sweater for comfort as you spoke, “I’m- fine….just ever since I….”
“Died?”
“Yeah, that….I’ve had….urges.”
“Like- what?”
“…like devouring someone like an animal.”
He went quiet after that. You can’t exactly say what you expected reaction wise. Disgust? Fear? Silence felt appropriate to be fair. You weren’t anticipating his next words when he processed the information…
“…three birds with one stone then.”
The plan went as the siblings had- semi planned.
Scaring the parents with an unloaded gun into the basement
Removing the limit from Mrs Graves credit card so they’d have some cash
Handing their souls to the demon
And Andrew leaving you to enjoy your meal
You felt like an animal. A hungry, ravenous animal.
Your breath was shaky, eyes wide with horror at what you’d done. You and the basement were bloodied mess, and your host parents were mangled beyond recognition.
It didn’t help that you were on your hands and knees, chin drenched with blood as what you had done replayed in your mind. The sounds of the basement stairs creaking broke you out of your trance. You cowered momentarily before realizing it was Andrew.
“Wow- you..” he paused, covering his mouth as he gagged from the smell of blood, “Really did a number on them..”
Hot tears welled in your eyes as you stared up at him. You trembled, falling further to the ground than you already were. Your forehead met the basement floor as you sobbed.
“I’m sorry!” You wailed, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry—“
It was all you could say. What else could you? You shook and sobbed like the wounded animal you were as Andrew slowly approached you. He fell to his knees in front of you, and pulled you into a hug. His parents’ blood stained his sweater, but he didn’t care. He’ll wash it later.
You trembled in his arms as he rubbed gentle circles into your back, soft shushes filling your ears as he comforted you. You buried your face into his shoulder, shaking and crying from what you’d done. This was different than when you ate the cultist back at the apartment, then you didn’t feel so….dehumanized.
He was prepared like a dish. Not bitten into like a wolf delivering the killing blow to a deer. He was eaten for survival. They were eaten to satiate this desire you had.
Though to Andrew, this downside was worth it, so long as he could hold you again.

Kankuro NSFW Alphabet
For my Kankuro anon <3 headcanons beneath the cut! Let me know if you'd like anything else. Thank you for the request, and enjoy!
A: Aftercare (What they’re like after sex):
Makes sure you’re okay, but not overly doting because he doesn’t want to come off as condescending or disrespectful. If you ask for anything, he’ll get it for you. He’s also a little embarrassed/bashful after sex and has a hard time going from that back to acting casually with you.
B: Body Part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner):
His favorite body parts on himself are his hands. They’re responsible for crafting puppets, for controlling them; for holding your hands, for holding you close to him, and for bringing you pleasure. They’re also pretty large and, from his line of work, worn, which he likes the look of.
His favorite body part on you are your wrists. He finds them beautiful in an odd way and spends a lot of your bedroom time tying them together with chakra strings if you’ll let him, so he’s done a lot of admiring of them.
C: Cum (Anything to do with cum):
He’s pretty neutral about it most of the time. Doesn’t have any sort of cum kink, doesn’t hate it either.
Though he’d be lying if he said he wouldn’t like a photo of you covered in his.
D: Dirty Secret
He printed out a small copy of a suggestive photo you took for him once and laminated it so he could put it in his wallet/satchel to get off to during long missions away from you.
E: Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?):
He’s slept with a couple of people by the time he gets to you and generally knows what he’s doing, but while he may be cocky in combat, he’s not really that way in the bedroom until well into the relationship when he’s gotten a taste for what you like.
F: Favorite Position:
Doesn’t matter as long as you’re tied up.
Like, actually. He’s happy to do it pretty much anywhere in any way, he’s just happy to be able to make love to you.
G: Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc.):
Depends on the day, but I’d say he’s always somewhere in between serious and humorous. The guy knows better than to take himself too seriously, but he also knows better than to crack jokes that will kill the mood. The atmosphere is usually light and fun- though the most you’ll get out of him joke-wise is teasing quips.
H: Hair (How well-groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.):
He trims it to keep it comfortable but doesn’t bother with shaving because he has sensitive skin that tends to be dry from being in Suna’s desert heat all the time. His pubes are dark brown like the hair on his head and slightly curly.
I: Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…):
For Kankuro, sex is an act of love/intimacy, but he’s also not super romantic. As mentioned in ‘G’, he prefers to keep the atmosphere light and fun unless it’s an odd night.
J: Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon):
He has a ridiculously high sex drive and would probably have sex with you every day if you wanted it, but he understands that there are days that you guys are going to be separated for missions and that there are days where you’re not going to be in the mood. So, pretty much every day the two of you aren’t able to have sex, he masturbates.
As mentioned in ‘D’, he has a dirty photo of you that he keeps on his person to masturbate to when you’re not around. I actually imagine that he has a collection of them that he keeps in his nightstand for variety.
K: Kink (One or more of their kinks):
Bondage, bondage, bondage. Likes to tie your hands and sometimes ankles/legs if you’re up for it- uses chakra strings most of the time as that’s what he’s most skilled with, it takes less time than traditional rope or cuffs and he’s an impatient man.
At first it was a control thing- since he’s next in line to be Kazekage if Gaara dies until Shinki’s adoption, there have been multiple assassination attempts against him much like there have been against Gaara, so he’s terrified of someone having unlimited access to his body when the two of you first start dating, even if it’s in a sexual context. So, he prefers to tie up your hands at first- just in case you’re an assassin or something of the sort. This could definitely fall under ‘D’ but I felt the explanation would be more appropriately placed here.
As time passes and he learns to trust you more, it becomes something he also just happens to enjoy.
L: Location (Favorite places to do the do):
He doesn’t care.
But, if he had to choose, probably the bedroom. He’s a simple man.
Seriously, though, anywhere he can get it, he’ll take it.
M: Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going):
Anything. He’s very easily excitable and touch-sensitive. He’s good at hiding it for the most part, though.
Take and/or send nudes and he’ll be rock hard in seconds, bonus points if you’re semi-bound in some of them.
N: NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn offs):
He definitely wouldn’t be open to any kinks that would limit his control over the situation i.e. being on the receiving end of bondage or sensory deprivation.
Also, absolutely no pain. He doesn’t want to receive it in any regard and the most he’ll provide is slight biting/hickeys/whatever marks you get from his chakra strings. He feels as if the two of you already go through enough pain in your day to day lives as ninja, so why bring more of it into your intimate lives?
O: Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc):
Absolutely can’t receive it because he can’t keep himself from bucking up into your mouth and making you gag.
Decent at giving, though it takes him quite a few attempts to learn exactly how you like it. He really enjoys giving it, though, as it’s a fun way to tease you.
P: Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.):
Slow and sensual, mostly because he likes to tease. Very rarely will you get fast and rough Kankuro, and when you do, it’s usually after a very bad mission.
Q: Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.):
He’ll take sex whenever and wherever he can get it, so while he prefers proper sex, he’s not opposed to a quickie.
Quickies tend to happen when the two of you are together on a mission and just can’t help yourselves. Imagine hot, intense, fast sex with Kankuro in a tent- desperately trying to be quiet so any nearby enemies or allies don’t happen to hear what the two of you are up to.
R: Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.):
Not really. Man likes what he likes, but… If you ask to try something and seem really interested, as long as it’s not one of the things listed in ‘N’, he’ll try it once.
S: Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last…):
He can go one round at a time, but two rounds in a day isn’t abnormal. Both last for however long he decides he wants to draw them out, which including foreplay, is anywhere between half an hour and an hour.
T: Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?):
He owns a couple fleshlights before the two of you start dating that he still uses on occasion when he feels like it.
After the two of you started dating, he also bought
U: Unfair (how much they like to tease):
He loves to tease but doesn’t mind if you tease him back.
Though, if you do tease him, expect to get that kind of treatment back tenfold.
He especially loves to do it in public. Chakra strings grazing your wrists, a hand on your thigh slowly moving up- only to move back down- while the two of you sit next to each other at a restaurant or a meeting or something of the sort. And then when you look at him like ‘what the fuck’, he acts like he has no idea what he’s doing to you.
In the bedroom it’s even worse. He’ll tease and edge you for as long as he can take it- which is a pretty long time.
V: Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make):
Not super loud, but talkative. He likes to speak dirty nothings against your neck while the two of you do it, and you might get a few grunts or a moan out of him.
W: Wild Card (Random headcanon):
His first time was with one of his squad mates during the war. Both of them figured they were young and hadn’t done it and were likely to die, so they went ahead and did it. The sex wasn’t very good and the memory is bittersweet. Kankuro is a little embarrassed that that’s the way his first time was, rather than something wholesome and romantic.
X: X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words):
His cock is about five inches long, uncircumcised, thick and girthy with a lot of prominent veins, surrounded by curly brown hair.
He has a king’s crown/dydoe piercing.
Y: Yearning (How high is their sex drive?):
As discussed in ‘J’, it’s very high and if he had it his way, the two of you would have sex every day.
Z: ZZZ (… how quickly they fall asleep afterwards):
It takes him a long time. He saw a lot during the war and has chronic nightmares/insomnia due to so many of his squadmates being injured or dying while he led them, and the horrific things he saw in general, so he doesn’t usually fall asleep until early-mid morning.

Hazbin Hotel Scenarios
Tumblr media
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel
Featured characters: Alastor, Sir Pentious, Charlie, Angel, Husker, Lucifer, Niffty, Vox, Vaggie, Rosie, Zestial
Rating: sfw; occasional scenarios that hint at reader x character, minor angst and drinking
Description: Random scenarios with Hazbins!
PLEASE ask me to write stuff for Hazbin or Helluva!
Tumblr media
- Meeting Rosie and having lunch with her and Alastor, he’s so pleased that you two get along so well. Gossiping after shop hours at Mimzy’s club.
- You find a plushie that reminds you of your fave. (A deer, a spider, a chibi tv character, a snake! So cute!) You’re careful to hide it, but one day they catch you and tease you about it.
- You’re sitting in the hotel lobby at the end of the day, listening to music, and Angel gets home. He leans over the back of the sofa and asks what you’re listening to. You offer him one of your ear buds and laugh at his reaction.
“What is this?”
“Electro swing. You could say I was inspired~” You jump up and grab his hand, urging him to dance with you.
Husker raises a brow at you both from behind the bar, dancing like idiots without music, but you both look so happy, he can’t help but smile.
Alastor walks into the room and sees you attempting swing dancing. Curious, he uses his magic to have the radio pick up the music from your phone.
You notice him and let him join in, trying to teach you the right way to swing. (You’ve never seen him look genuinely happier.)
Angel grabs Husk and makes him dance too.
Hearing the music downstairs, Sir Pentious and Charlie peek down to see what’s happening. Charlie gasps in delight and races to find Vaggie so they can dance.
You end up dancing between everyone there. Even Nifty joins in (making her cockroach puppets dance).
Lucifer gets back in the middle of things, and Charlie gleefully spins over to him, pulling him into the fray and pushing him to you. He tries to apologise for bumping into you, but you’re whisking him into the dance before he can finish.
- Being in hell, being dead, that’s kinda a lot sometimes. Angel’s days are always a lot. So the two of you cuddle basically every time you’re in the same room.
- Charlie, in her bid to find ways for her guests to connect, searches the human realm internet for pictures of everyone. Despite the odds, she somehow manages it.
You’re coming downstairs while she and Nifty are setting up the projector, a very familiar picture of you larger than life on the wall.
Angel awws from the sofa and Husker smacks him.
Then his own picture comes up, a handsome gangster looking man from the twenties.
Now it’s full blown wolf whistles.
Then…
“Alastor?? Damn…”
Angel hears you and grins. “Right?”
“I’d let him kill me~”
The man in question steps in with a complicated smile. “Oh my. I’ll not even ask how you managed to get ahold of such a thing.”
Charlie squeals in excitement. “It took me three weeks! Ooh, Angel is next!”
A… skilfully cropped picture is next of him.
Sir Pentious comes down the stairs behind you (you’re still impressed that the snake can navigate stairs) and gasps when his own portrait comes up in the slideshow. “Oh my ssstars!”
“Woah, check out those luscious locks Pen,” Angel says.
Everyone gets a drink after that.
- Alastor smiling so softly at you when he takes you to Cannibal Town and you think the old architecture is pretty. A band is playing in a nearby gazebo… more impromptu dancing. A chance to fix your embarrassing lack of skill, he insists.
- You’re going to bed one night and happen to see Sir Pentious coming out of his room without his top hat, and you’re frozen for a second.
“Oh, hello. Er, isss something wrong?”
“N-no! Sorry, it’s just… your uh… It looks like you have the most amazing hair, the way the black comes around your face… It’s pretty… Sorry, sorry this is so weird, I’m sorry goodnight!”
You slam your bedroom door, leaving him a blushing mess.
- Angel is teasing you about something (or someone) and says something about calling them Daddy.
“Ugh, I’m not calling anyone that!”
“No? Husky, whaddya think about him?”
He glares at us while wiping down a glass and you shrug. “I mean he’s definitely daddy material, but I’m still not calling him that.”
Angel bursts out laughing before Husker throws a glass at you both.
- Imagine being brilliant with social media, blowing up your tiny one person business overnight in helping people promote their stuff, and catching the attention of the Vees. Telling them casually the solutions to problems they’ve been trying to solve for months. Their looks of impressed and interested awe.
- You were out for the day with Lucifer and Alastor, knowing they had a meeting with the overlords later. You wait outside, and Zestial, uncharacteristically running almost late, passes you by on the way in. You are a bit old fashioned, and the way you politely incline your head to him makes him stop in his tracks and ask your name. Perhaps it is worth noting a soul such as yourself…
- Every time you appreciate something from the 20’s/30’s, Alastor gets so happy and clingy with you. Everyone comments how touchy is is with you and just to spite them he starts doing it more.
- Bumping into your fave in the small but densely packed library, with collections from both Charlie and Lucifer. Reading together in comfortable silence. (Or scrolling on their phone as they’re escaping someone/something.)
- Helping Charlie pirate human realm leadership podcasts as she’s stepping into her role more.
- Making a (non magical) deal with Alastor after Lucifer screams at him one too many times for not listening to his voicemails. For every technological or modern world bit of information you share, he’ll teach you something from his own era.
- Finding Alastor tinkering on old radios he collects, sleeves rolled, jacket off. Losing your mind over his deer tail and scrambling - failing - to hide your sheer delight. Finally breaking down and confessing that it’s absolutely darling~ He threatens to kill you and you agree it would be justified. He huffs and nods you over to his desk. He could use a second pair of hands. Or maybe he just wants to electrocute you so you can never tell a soul what you just saw, he says with a smile.
- Vox was there from the beginning days of television, and as much as he knows how brutal the entertainment business is, he still secretly likes a bunch of old fashioned shows and movies that no one ever talks about. He’d be so happy if you threw a vintage movie night for him and let him ramble about the good old days~ Dust off his warehouse collection of old memorabilia and string up lights and he’ll ask you to marry him.
- Going shopping with Angel! Snack and lunch stops are a must.
- Husker is dead on his ass drunk, having a breakdown on the stairs one night. Bottle in one hand, head resting on the bannister posts. You come downstairs for a midnight snack, and seeing him sitting there, you decide to sit on the other end of the step. You don’t say a word, just letting your tail wrap around his and mirroring his own position with your head on the railing post too. You just sit there together for fifteen minutes before he mutters a thanks you can barely hear and heads upstairs.
- Discovering you have Sinner Powers and having eager Morningstars and Alastor help you practice.
- If you hate bugs, helping Nifty make traps for the roaches. She’s your best friend after that. Like it or not.
- Vaggie drunkenly tells you that she secretly wants to see Charlie all princessed up one day. So you and Angel find a dress and fix up her hair (Nifty wants to help! The end result is amazing, but she might have to cut off her hair to get out all the tiny braids, whooops.) Vaggie has a conniption when she sees her and starts stumbling over her words and everything. Alastor puts on a record for them to waltz to. Lucifer is there. He definitely cries. 5000%.
- Going to visit Rosie on your own and getting allll the tea on Alastor~

Note
Hiya! Could you do a one-shot of Alastor x fem! reader who is like Art the clown (from the terrifier movies, all hallows eve and the ninth circle)?
Perhaps they met when Alastor first got to hell and reader wanted to kill him at first but due to his old fashioned ways (the courting and such) along with him being quite sadistic when it comes to killing, she became more curious about him and it led to a relationship?
How would their relationship be? Would it become more of a one sided thing? Would she try to harm him after he comes back from his seven year absence? I’d love to see your interpretation on this!
~ 🕷️
Terrify Me~
Tumblr media
(Anon, I promise I did not forget you! I have never seen these movies and call myself a horror fanatic! So I watched them all as I had the time to try and be better at this writing! I hope you enjoy and stay hydrated!) TW: Torture, Death, assault, Suggestive, Sad, Comfort
Tumblr media
Hell was far more entertaining than back up on the earth, though yes, it sucked dying to those damn cops. This was where it was at. You had free reign to torture and torment those around you; the good deal was that people didn’t die permanently as long as you used the right tools. This led to such an easy time finding prey to stalk. It also allowed you to develop incredible powers as people begged and pleaded with you for deals on being free from torment.
You were a terrifying creature, a black-and-white marionette doll with no voice box. Your movements and attention to detail got you through your life in hell. You were sadistic and cruel to whoever became your prey for the time you spent stalking them, hunting them, and slowly driving your enemy mad. You were so good at the job that people recognized you as an Overlord before even discussing it with you. Of course, who would dare get in your line of sight less you make them the next target?
You didn’t care about hell’s silly hierarchy or games; you only cared about getting your fill. Your mind was on the prize of listening to beautiful screams and cries. Like a masterful puppet pulling strings, your looks did not portray your abilities all that well. You may have looked like the prey, but you were the top predator. You were deadly, mind, body, and soul.
Years had passed of your reign as the queen of torture till a new man arrived on the scene. Alastor, the radio demon, died not too long after your rise to fame and began to make waves in the underworld as he broadcasted screams of the damned and tortured. His show quickly became one of your favorites, and you would play it as you killed and murdered innocent demonic souls, hoping to make a deal with you for safety.
Eventually, though, your love and passion for the radio demon's show turned to disgust and hate as he began to take your place in the world of torturing the damned. You had found a new prey to stalk, and it was someone who was equally matched.
Your stalk began small, with just hushed whispers and knowledge of the man you wished to end. You found photos and some video of him, but it was grainy and distorted. He was a handsome man. He would be so beautiful strung up. As you thought of many ways to torture and abuse him, the next phase of your plan was in order.
Though you were an ‘overlord,’ you never attended meetings. However, you did start when it came to hunting Alastor. Watching his every move and emotion, you saw he was good at mimicking and faking just like you. Yet you had to say you were just that much better at it. When you two first officially met, you could visibly see the disdain on his face when you couldn’t speak. Like many powerful beings, Alastor puts weight on words, something you have no control over, always giving you the upper hand.
You found every excuse to be around and speak to the man. Eager to move on to stage three of your plan to capture and torment this soul. Actively seeking Alastor out, you began to carry a notepad to speak with him. Small conversations that would sometimes run long. You enjoyed his voice, at least. You thought it would sound lovely, screaming in pain and agony.
Though you had these sick, twisted thoughts about Alastor, you couldn’t help but be curious about the other feelings he elicited. You wanted to hear him sing, watch him smile, and enjoy his murder. His many good qualities interested you even more. You even sought medical help in the man before you as you didn’t understand these stirrings you had around him and him alone.
As the final plan commenced where you would capture and torture him, you were caught off guard by a single black rose being placed before you. Looking at it and holding it gently, you felt your undead heart flutter. This situation happened many times over and over.
You would go to kill or capture Alastor, and right there, every time you would execute your plan, he would have a trinket or doo dad for you to keep as your own. He began to touch you gently, shoulders, face, sides. Things started to shift in you; you were being courted, and it wasn’t until you experienced this love that you realized it happened: Alastor had you under his spell.
Your plans of killing Alastor were long gone; now, you just wanted to have the joy of torturing others together. Come a year of your stupid game; you were now officially Alastor's partner in crime. It was charming how he always let you get the first stab and helped you stalk and scare others. He even taught you how to cook and kill the dead sinners. Things were well between you two, so well that domestic life began to become a norm for two sadistic sinners. Yet it all changed one day suddenly. You had been out on a kill someone you and Alastor had stalked for months. However, when you returned covered in blood and a dead body in tow, Alastor was nowhere to be found. You waited a year in that small home you two made, and he never appeared.
After seven long years, you returned to the top of the food chain; you were vicious and cold-hearted. Bloodthirsty. You allowed yourself to be blindsided by a man who couldn’t even say goodbye. Anger consumed you as the years passed, and you became known as the terrifier. You were deadly on a much larger scale than your first time on the scene. You were always longing for Alastor just to come back home. You were longing openly to all that you would kill him and make him pay.
While on the town killing, you heard a familiar buzz. Your blood ran cold as the familiar sound flooded your senses. Running to the old home, you two shared the life long forgotten: you hoped so badly to see him standing there as he once did. Would you kill him? Let him live? Fall into his arms again?
As you entered the house, he wasn’t there. It was still empty, still intact, the same as you left it six years ago. Sighing, you left and walked to the nearest brothel to kill some easy dirtbags. That's when you saw the shadow. Was this a game? Some sick, twisted game to make you think Alastor had come back for you.
Following the shadow, you grew more rabid and curious. Eventually, you found yourself atop a hill where the Hazbin Hotel sat. Walking in, it was silent; it was late at night, and you assumed everyone was asleep. Stepping further into the forbidden territory, you looked around cautiously. It was homey and bright, too bright for your liking, yet some of the decor looked like what you saw in your old home with Alastor.
You felt the presence before you heard it, and suddenly, a bright smile overtook your face. He was here; he was back. Seeing before you Alastor, the radio demon, your lost love, you took a step towards him, afraid it was fake. You don’t know what emotion overtook you the most. You wanted to tear him apart, yet seeing him there, everything felt so surreal. His smile, for once, was authentic, and as he opened his arms out for you and you rushed in, you heard the faintest, “Oh, how you still terrify me…”

I had a discussion on Instagram about Eurylochus and wanted to share it here , the post where this conversation happened is irrelevant but it was about Eurylochus and the end of the Thunder Saga, anyways I made a comment and this guy’s responded:
Tumblr media
Then I responded with this across some comments (I chose not to use screen caps for most of my things because they are a lot of comments and it might be over the limit of them, and I had the stuff I said saved):
Lol what are you in buddy???
First of all, since the start Eurylochus has had one objective in mind just like Odysseus, Eurylochus wanted to protect the crew and to get them home while Odysseus wanted to go home to be with his son and wife, that’s the main reason the diversion between Eury and Ody happened, because Ody cared more about getting home than about the crew, while Eury cared more about the crew than getting home.
In ‘Full Speed Ahead’ (Song 03) he tells Ody that they are out of food and they need to feed THE CREW so he asks the captain / king what they should do, because that’s is what he’s supposed to do, he proposes attacking and just taking the food because he wants to ensure food for the crew no matter what, this is also proveen in ‘Polyphemus’ (Song 06) when the first thing he says is “There are enough sheep here to feed the entire fleet” he was thinking about the crew again. Then in ‘Remeber Them’ (Song 09) he’s the one who ask “But captain, what do we do with our fallen friends?” because he CARES about the crew.
Also he not only cares about the crew but he cares about Odysseus too (he’s part of the crew but anyways), this is better shown in ‘Luck Runs Out’ (Song 11); “You could be caught off guard and lose your life” “I just don’t wanna see another life end” “You are like the brother I could never do without”.
Then in the same song (‘Luck Runs Out’) we understand why he opened the wind bag. He was afraid, he was afraid of the Gods and what they might do to him, Odysseus and the crew; “You could be caught off guard and lose your life” “Or piss off this God and infuse us with strife” “Don’t forget how dangerous the gods are”.
Now the Circe thing, y’all have very selective hearing and didn’t understood Eury at all, he is still afraid during this song (‘Puppeteer’ Song 14); he’s afraid of a Goddess, of Circe, he gave those men for dead because they were captured by a literal Goddess, and he is also afraid of what she might to to Odysseus and the rest of the crew if they try to face her; “Think about the men we have left before there’s none, let’s just cut our loses, you and I, and let’s run” “What if she can’t be killed!? — Will you chose to leave?”
By the way, I would like to point out that in this song (‘Puppeteer’) Odysseus says “There’s no length I wouldn’t go, if it was you I’d have to save, I can only hope you’ll do the same…” and Eurylochus responds by literally doing that, by trying to stop Odysseus from going into that suicidal mission, (let me remind y’all that the only reason Odysseus stood his ground against Circe was thanks to Deus Ex Hermes).
And another thing, some of you people like to say Eurylochus wanted Odysseus gone or blasphemy like that, then why didn’t he killed him in ‘Mutiny’ (Song 24), he had Odysseus stabbed and defenseless but he didn’t killed him, he and the crew just restrained him and treated all of his wounds, they didn’t want him dead, they just couldn’t trust him anymore and therefore couldn’t have him as his captain.
Then they said this (ignoring stuff I already talked about):
Tumblr media
And finally I finished the conversation and responded with this:
1. I literally addressed the Circe situation in my previous comments, and explained how he gave those men for dead because to save them they would have had to fight a LITERAL GODDESS (remember they just lost 11 ships / more than 500 men to another God), and again, the only reason Ody won / was able to talk it through was thanks to Hermes’s intervention.
2. Again, I believe the treasure was a misdirection, and the real reason was fear, as I have explained before / in my previous comments.
3. If he wanted to forget what he did and act like nothing have happened, he wouldn't even have confessed in the first place, so it's obviously not about that.
4. That part was a metaphor, see how it is similar to 'Luck Runs Out' in the way that one was talking as a friend and the other as his title, in 'Luck Runs Out' Odysseus is the one talking as a friend while in 'Mutiny' Eurylochus is the one talking as a friend (we know because he called him "Ody" instead of "Captain"), so he was talking one on one and Odysseus was responding talking about himself about how HE wanted to go back to HIS kingdom HIS son and HIS wife ignoring what Eurylochus was saying to him as well as his concerns (like he did in ‘Luck Runs Out’), then the crew jumps in showing Odysseus that all of the crew thinks the same, that they are all tired, that they are all hurt, and that they are all hungry, something that Odysseus's own suffering has made him oblivious to, and now he tries to talk to the crew, to calm them and convince them, but he has already shown them that his priority is himself, so they ignore his pleading and try to give themselves comfort in the only way they currently can, try so solve the only problem they as mere men are able to, and so they killed the cattle to eat.

i have this thought: if we were all living in the naruto series and saw the akatsuki in real life, it would be so terrifying—they’re actually really scary, and you can’t tell me otherwise. all of them are incredibly strong, and none of us would stand a chance (meh)—but if i had to pick one who would really scare the crap out of me, it would be sasori. like, any member’s jutsu is terrifying, and i’d be horrified to face any of them, but no one’s psychopathic tendencies match sasori’s (well, hidan is also a psychopathic bastard, and deidara is too addicted to his so-called art).
but imagine if sasori got you. this guy wouldn’t just kill you outright; no, he’d turn you into one of his grotesque human puppets—he would dismantle you, piece by piece. he’d strip away your flesh and blood and would definitely replace your organs with some mechanical shits. urgh, the pain would be unimaginable—the torment would fucking stretch on until nothing was left but an empty, hollow shell.
