Seeing that it's a pocket first-aid kit, he utters a curious hum as she explains. "Ahh... but no, you're right: even the 'minor' ones I tend to take on, aren't always the safest, especially if they can take a pretty bad turn. I honestly don't know why it never occurred to me to have a small kit like on my person at all times... so, this is perfect! Thank you, Mikan-senpai. Of course, I'll try my best to preserve this until the moment I will absolutely need it, e-ehehe..."

Not that he hopes there comes a situation where he will get injured enough to need to use it, but it still feels reassuring to have one, nonetheless. And the fact alone that Mikan wanted to look out for him like this, meant a lot to him. His smile softens, as he adds: "Thank you for always looking out for me like this. I promise to be as safe as I can when I'm out doing detective work, so that this doesn't go to waste!"
