Like any other species, Dragon courtship has its own sets of rules that it follows.
Males spend years carving out a territory and building up a collection of items that would astound anyone that happened upon it. While females roam from territory to territory seeking a compatible mate.
Hoards are the biggest deal breakers when it came to dragon courtship. It didn't matter if the male had the best territory or was beyond charming. If the female took one look at his hoard and wanted rare gemstones instead of the pile of gold he had, the courtship was dead. No amount of conjoling or bargaining could revive it. Niche collections that weren't the normal rare minerals or precious metals were even harder to get a pass on.
Jason's book hoard fell under niche dragon collections. He'd long gotten used to scenting one of his kind near his den entrance only to never spot them.
So when he returned home and smelled an hours-old unfamiliar female scent, he wasn't bothered by it. Finding her asleep by a pile of books with one open under her maw as if she drifted off while reading did surprise him, though.
(Reminds me of my spider fic lmaooo)
Jason crept closer, breathing out a puff of smoke before he inhaled her scent. Yes, this was the dragon that had stayed in his hoard for at least a few hours. He sat back and observed her, tilting his head as he looked at her smooth black scales and sharp claws. Her hide was unscarred, her form was slender, her wings looked large and strong. She was big, far bigger than most dragons that he saw and possibly even bigger than his own sire and guardian.
Jason’s tail swished in happiness.
Yes, with her, they’d have a good hoard and a wonderful nest. He could already imagine it. They’d have plenty of eggs, cute hatchlings, with thousands upon thousands of books to satisfy them both. Jason could read human language, and clearly, so did this dragon, and he could already picture them reading to their children together.
He shook off his thoughts and laid down, pulling one of the books of his collection towards him to delicately flip open the pages. He read as she slept and after a while, she finally sat up with a start, her spines rising as well as her wings as she reared back in alarm.
Jason also stood up, but quickly corrected his posture to be more demure. He had clearly satisfied her with his hoard and his scent if she had been asleep that long, but he still had to ask her to let him court her.
The female dragon shook her head, as if clearing her mind before she looked up at him critically. “You must be the owner of this hoard,” she said. Her voice was sweet and now that her eyes were open, Jason stared in awe at the turquoise eyes that looked at him so sharply.
Dragons have killed and kingdoms had fallen for treasures the same color as those eyes.
Jason tried not to show how nervous he was as he nodded. “I am. My name is Jason, second oldest of the Waynes.” He spread his wings, large, scarred, and weathered, and bowed down to her in respect.
“The Waynes…” she said with a hum. “A good lineage. Very wealthy too, if I recall. I am surprised by the selection of your hoard. I’ve never seen anything like it before.” Her wings curled around herself and her tail swished, pleased. “I am Jazz, oldest daughter of the Nightingales. In my long life, I’ve never seen anyone use books as a hoard before.”
She returned the bow deeply and respectfully.
Jason gave another puff of smoke. “I’ve always liked books. Humans have many treasures, but none can teach or imagine or create like books can. They’re delicate and small, especially for dragons. I felt like something like books were more rare and important than gems or gold, which can be recycled over and over.”
Jazz bared her teeth in a smile. She crept over to him and brushed her chin over his head. Jason froze in place as her smooth scales and long horns rubbed against his, creating warmth from the friction of their skin. A steady purr built up in Jazz’s throat as she rubbed her scent all over him, brushing their wings and sides together until he was thoroughly covered in her scent, sweet and salty and strong.
Jason finally found his words when she began intertwining their tails together and blurted, “I wish to formally court you!”
She paused and then rubbed her face against his again, still purring. “I happily accept. We shall make a home that will have all other dragons seethe in envy. I will protect our nest and eggs with my life.”
“And I will make my hoard even bigger and grander for you and protect us with my life,” he swore to her and returned her rumbly purr.
Thank goodness he never listened to his nestmates to get rid of his hoard and replace it with something else.
Otherwise, how would he have attracted Jazz’s attention?

to be home, to be loved, ch.1
pairing: sebastian sallow x reader (hogwarts legacy)
rating: mature (eventual smut)
themes: found family, friends to lovers, slow burn
summary: Eleazar Fig and Solomon Sallow died. Anne Sallow had disappeared. You, Sebastian, and Ominis tried as best as you can to move on, learn, and heal from everything that had happened. In an effort to keep Sebastian company and gave Ominis a new refuge after your fifth year at Hogwarts ended, you proposed an idea: the three of you living together in the house Professor Fig left you.
notes: am i too late to write fics for the infamous, the illustrious, the genius sebastian sallow when hogwarts legacy came out almost 2 years ago? probably, but that never stopped me before, so here it is!

It had been over a week since Spring arrived, melting white snow to make way for verdant green and vibrant colors. Hogwarts was lovely this time of the year, with blooming flowers and swirling butterflies softening the solemness of the castle. It was almost hard to believe that just a few weeks ago, you had been fighting for your life against Ranrok, shaking the very foundation of the castle. Yet Hogwarts still stood tall and majestic. Unshakeable.
Everyone called you Hogwarts’ Hero, but you wondered if they knew that your sleep had been plagued with vivid dreams of bright flashes of red, the memories of the Keepers, and the light fading from your mentor’s eyes as he drew his last breath. Who would've expected that you'd have trauma by the end of your fifth year? Certainly not you.
The teachers, bless their hearts, seem to be paying more attention to you these days. Even more than before, when they used to give you tasks and extra lessons to make up for lost time. Among them, Professor Weasley was the one who often reached out to you to inquire about your O.W.L preparations.
Curiously, though, the deputy headmistress didn't seem interested in your O.W.L or Field Guide today. Instead, she regarded you with a gentle, sympathetic expression as she handed you a thick envelope.
“I know the grief of losing Professor Fig must be too fresh for you, but with the year ending and… in light of everything that has happened recently, I'm afraid this cannot wait.”
You stilled in your seat, immediately assuming the worst. Had the remaining goblin forces taken arms again? A new enemy entering the fray? Or perhaps you weren't meticulous enough when locking away Isidora’s repository and some of the magic had leaked away?
Professor Weasley cleared her throat. “This is Professor Fig’s will. He'd entrusted this to me the night you fought Ranrok. I assume you knew that Professor Fig and Miriam had no children?”
“Yes,” you slowly replied, thinking back to the months before Hogwarts where Fig patiently taught you everything you need to know about magic.
What Professor Weasley said next made your eyes widen in surprise.
“Well… Professor Fig had decided to list you as his beneficiary. This means all his possessions now belong to you, including his house in London.”
“I— what?”
“It’s all stated in his will,” Professor Weasley nodded at the envelope before you, urging you to open it.
You hesitated. Eyebrows furrowing in confusion and disbelief. You wondered if this is a setup. Perhaps Professor Weasley decided to give you a surprise test before O.W.L to really gauge your readiness? But what purpose would it serve? The deputy headmistress has no reason to trick you and even if she did, she wouldn’t resort to using Fig, wouldn’t she? It would be too cruel.
Still, the deputy headmistress was silent while you mentally hyper-analyzed your current predicament. Nervously, you reached out for the envelope, pulling out its contents with trembling hands. Complicated words jumped out at you when you unfurled the parchment. You weren’t really well-versed in legal phrases and languages, but as you read through the pages and saw the stamps and signatures that belonged to Fig, you realized that everything Professor Weasly said was true.
Professor Fig left you everything.
“I… This is…”
You could feel your eyes getting wet with tears but blinked them all away, refusing to let out even the smallest sob or sniffle. Not in front of Professor Weasley, at least. Professor Fig never really expressed any sort of familial affection to you. Any praise and encouragement mostly only came because of your aptitude for magic and quick thinking. Because of that, you assumed he only saw you as his student. You two hadn’t known each other that long, after all.
You flipped the pages and began to reread everything from the beginning and, to nobody’s surprise, nothing’s changed. The content of his will stayed the same.
But why, you found yourself thinking. A big wave of grief swept over you. A part of yourself secretly wishing Fig could’ve told you all this on his own. After all, despite everything, he had been the closest thing to a father that you’ve ever had.
Not for the first time, your chest swelled with rage towards Ranrok, though you know it was futile.
“I had the pleasure to talk with Fig not long after he discovered you,” Professor Weasley finally spoke with a gentle voice. “He told me how gifted you are, how he had never seen someone learn magic so quickly. He was very proud of you, dear. And I’m sure that sentiment only grew bigger until the very end of his journey.”
“I… I don't know what to say, Professor, I…” you stammered.
With a flick of her wand, a cup of warm tea appeared on the desk and Professor Weasley offered it to you. “Fig also told me that you were living in an orphanage. I suppose he hoped that, though he’s no longer with us, you can now have a home to return to aside from Hogwarts.”
You sobbed, unable to hold back the tears. Without wasting a beat, Professor Weasley was already at your side, rubbing soothing circles on your back. The warm gesture was appreciated, of course, but you tried your best to stop crying.
“Your mentor is a good man,” she said. “He had made sure that you’ll never live in want.”
“Truthfully, Professor, I don’t know if I deserved this. I…” you paused, rubbing your eyes with the sleeve of your cloak.
“Nonsense, you’ve done so much for the wizarding world. I know Fig, he wouldn’t have made this decision if he wasn’t sure,” Professor Weasley reassured her. “But… it's up to you, in the end, whatever you want to do with Professor Fig’s possessions. I advise you to sleep on it tonight before coming up with a decision.”
Your nose flared as you took a deep breath, blinking away the burn in your eyes. “Alright,” you said, suddenly feeling more exhausted than ever. “I'll give it a thought. Thank you, Professor.”
The deputy headmistress nodded. “Well, I shan't keep you any longer. You still have classes to attend, after all. But rest assured, I'll always offer you my assistance should you need it.”
“Thank you, Professor.”
*
Try as you might, you couldn't stop thinking about Fig’s will. You barely paid attention to whatever Professor Sharp was saying (you were pretty sure he was giving you disappointed looks the whole time) and, when class was finally over, you began walking aimlessly around Hogwarts, hoping the excursion could help you process everything that had just happened.
Of course, you had been giving some thought as to how you were going to spend the term break before your sixth year began. Natty and Poppy had also invited you for a sleepover at their houses. But, ultimately, you thought you were going to spend most of your time back at the orphanage, though you absolutely did not look forward to it.
But now, things have changed drastically.
You weren't trying to be ungrateful or petulant but… how many fifteen-year-olds out there got entrusted a house and a certain amount of wealth all of a sudden?
The details of Fig’s home trickled back into your brain as you recalled the few times you had been there. It was a simple two-story house with brick walls, cobblestone roofs, a garden filled with peculiar magical plants, and a chipper house-elf named Hobbs. The insides of the house were filled with books and knick-knacks from Fig and Miriam’s adventure. It was warm there. And quiet, detached from the hustle and bustle of London’s city center.
‘Wouldn't it be so empty if only Hobbs and I lived there? How can I even stay there when Professor Fig is already gone?’ you wondered, uncertain.
You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn't realize that one of the armors in the corridor had already broken down into pieces, its parts strewn messily across the floor, no doubt it was because of their usual fight. But this detail slipped your mind and, the next moment, you found yourself falling down to your knees after you tripped over what seemed to be an iron breastplate.
“Ow!”
“...Is that the Hogwarts' Hero I hear stumbling down the corridor?”
Cheeks reddening, you looked up to see none other than Ominis Gaunt standing in the middle of the corridor with his wand stretched forward, glowing red.
“Yup, it's me. And don't call me that,” you sighed before pushing yourself back up and casting Reparo to fix the armor. “Fancy seeing you all by yourself, Ominis, Sebastian's not with you?”
“He’s being held back by Professor Garlick.”
“What, did he make a student faint with a mandrake?” you asked as you inspected the repaired armor, satisfied with your work.
“Almost lost an arm from accidentally dropping his Chinese chomping cabbage.”
You winced. “That… didn't sound good.”
That did not quite sound like Sebastian as well. You may not have known him long enough, yet Sebastian was not exactly someone you'd call clumsy. No, he had always moved with certainty and confidence, with intentions behind each of his actions. Needless to say, he wouldn't have done something as foolish as accidentally dropping a magical cabbage that could tear one's limbs.
You turned to look at Ominis, half-surprised that he was still there.
“How is he doing?”
“He’s… managing, though I can sense that Anne's situation still bothers him greatly,” Ominis quietly answered, carefully picking his words. “But I believe that he has come to terms with it. Slowly making peace with everything.”
“That's good to hear,” you nodded.
Of course, like Ominis, you had been witnessing Sebastian making good progress. He seemed to be fully committed to the promise he made to you in The Undercroft a few days ago, and for that, you couldn't have been more relieved.
“Speaking of Sebastian, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about,” the blond-haired boy spoke again and it piqued your interest.
“Mm?”
“Not here, let’s go somewhere quieter.”
“...Alright, lead the way.”
You assumed he would lead you to The Undercroft, yet it seemed Ominis had a different plan in mind because the two of you had just made a turn that certainly did not lead to your secret base.
“Where are we heading?”
“The Black Lake,” he answered and your eyebrows shot up. “I’m unsure if this is something Sebastian should hear. Not yet, at least.”
You tilted your head to the side. This was certainly unexpected. After all, a good portion of your fifth year was spent doing unsanctioned and dangerous things with Sebastian, away from Ominis’ disapproving gaze. Now it was you and Ominis who were scheming together while keeping Sebastian out of the loop.
“This… was certainly a surprising turn of events.”
“You’re the only one I can turn to. And as to why, I'm sure you don't need a reminder.”
That shut you up. “Fair enough.”
It didn't take long before you reached the Black Lake. You held back a shiver when a chilly spring wind blew, mussing up the strands of hair that escaped your braid. Still, the sight of a verdant meadow after four months of pure white was very much welcomed. When you squinted, you could see the silhouette of the giant squid that lingered in the murky depth of the lake.
Ominis led you to a quieter, more secluded part of the lake and you followed, sitting next to him on the grass.
“So, what is it?”
“I know I said that Sebastian seemed to be doing alright, but… with the term break approaching, I can't help but worry for him. Anne is keeping her distance, Solomon's gone. Sebastian will be all alone.”
“Ah… that,” you hummed. “I've been wondering about that, too, actually. Of course, I don't know Sebastian as well as you do, but I wondered if he'd be okay going back to an empty home. I figured the grief would be too much.”
He let out a heavy sigh. “I will just say it as it is. Aside from the grief, I worry he would try to do something stupid. Something we've agreed we'd help him put a stop to.”
An uncomfortable sensation pricked your skin, trailing down your spine. The faintest echo of Crucio that Sebastian cast on you back at Salazar’s Scriptorium. It was consensual, yes, you had asked for him to do it, but the pain was unbearable. It was as if you were being burned from the inside. As if a thousand knives pierced your skin over and over again. Your throat constricting on its own and breathing had been impossible.
Still, some days you wondered what was worse, the consensual Unforgivable curse or the anger he lashed out at you whenever he got too frustrated about his quest to find a cure for Anne.
‘Water under the bridge,’ you thought to yourself.
“I suppose you couldn't take him with you?”
“With me,” Ominis repeated slowly. “You’re suggesting that we bring Sebastian to a house where children are not taught but also encouraged to use the Unforgivable curses.”
“Right. Sorry.”
“Curses aside, you know how I preferred not to stay in that house. I used to visit Feldcroft in the past, but now…”
There was an awkward silence for a moment as you realized it wasn’t just Sebastian who lost his family and home. Ominis also lost a shelter. You looked up towards the blue sky, wishing you could find someplace for your two friends. Perhaps the three of you could sneak and hide in the Room of Requirements for the entire term break. That wouldn’t be too much of a bad idea, would it? Wild, but… plausible? You certainly wouldn’t have any problems with it.
Absent-mindedly, you put your hand inside the pocket of your cloak. It was at that moment your fingers brushed against an envelope.
Professor Fig’s will.
Suddenly, another idea popped into your head.
“Something happened to me earlier.”
“Yes…?” Ominis arched an eyebrow, unsure of what it had to do with your current predicament.
“Professor Weasley gave me Professor Fig’s will. He had listed me as his beneficiary… which means all of his possessions, including his home, are entrusted to me. I’ve been to the house a few times before and… it was quite spacious. There were spare rooms available.”
Ominis immediately turned to face you. “Are you suggesting that Sebastian could live with you during our term break?”
“I— well…”
Now that you had said it, you realized how ridiculous you may have sounded.
“I know that you tend to come up with bizarre ideas, but would your family even be okay with this? Can’t imagine they’d be pleased if you suddenly came home with a boy.”
‘They probably wouldn’t… if they existed,’ you thought to yourself.
“Um… I sort of don't have one…”
“What do you mean you don't— oh,” Ominis immediately fell silent when he understood what you implied. The blond shifted awkwardly. “I must admit I have heard some rumors regarding your… family, but I didn’t dare to ask I…” he faltered. “Sorry.”
“No, it’s fine. Don’t apologize. Really!”
An awkward silence stretched for a brief moment before he finally let out a sigh. “Well, that’s even more bizarre, then. A girl and a boy living together. Did it ever cross your mind that your idea is rather unconventional, if not, inappropriate?”
You could feel the heat rushing to your cheeks. Ominis did not have to make it seem more serious than it really was. The three of you were just friends and nothing more. You highly doubt that Sebastian would do anything weird. Besides, it’s not like any of you had a lot of options.
“I know… it was just—” you took a deep breath. “Look, I just thought we could all stay there. Yes, you included. There's enough room for everyone to have their own privacy and there’s also a house-elf, so it’s not like it’s going to be just us.”
Ominis still looked like he suddenly got his vision and saw that you actually have three heads instead of one.
“I don’t know what to say, thank you for the invitation? But have you considered the fact that there’s a possibility that something unwanted could happen?”
“Sebastian wouldn’t do that! And neither would you!” you replied with wide eyes, perplexed. “And even if any of you somehow did, which I highly doubt, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself.”
You were quite certain that Ominis didn't doubt you. After all, you did have the ability to wield ancient magical power and have successfully thwarted a goblin rebellion.
“Besides,” you took a deep breath. “I really don't know if I'm going to be able to live there with only a house-elf to keep me company.”
He paused. “Why is that?”
A rueful smile bloomed on your lips. “The silence would be too much for me to bear.”
“Ah…”
“A- anyway, you don't have to agree to my idea if you're uncomfortable about it. I was just thinking out loud… we need a place where one or the two of us can keep Sebastian company and you need a place to escape your family. I thought the house could be a good option.”
Ominis finally let out another defeated sigh. “You’re not wrong.”
Biting your lower lip, you inched forward, not wanting to put more stress on him. “I suppose there is a possibility that Sebastian would be completely fine living in Feldcroft alone and things would be the same despite… what had happened. At any rate, we wouldn't know unless we talked to him about it, no?”
“Yes, I suppose you're right,” he muttered. “We should talk to him tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?”
The Slytherin boy arched an eyebrow. “We're going to Feldcroft with him tomorrow, remember?”
Right. You remembered Sebastian asking you to go with him and Ominis to his cottage in Feldcroft. This would be his second visit after Solomon’s death and Anne’s disappearance. The first happened just moments after he learned of his sister’s disappearance. Suddenly, your chest felt heavy.
“Alright. We'll talk to him tomorrow.”
Ominis nodded. “I have to go back, Sebastian is probably searching for me already. Talk to you soon.”
“Me, too. I promised Natty we’re going to Hogsmeade together. See you, Ominis.”
He stood up and dusted his robe. His expression was unreadable.
“Despite everything that had happened,” he spoke again in a soft voice. “I’m grateful for all the help that you’ve done for Sebastian. I reckon it must’ve been hard for you, too, back then. I’m sorry, I realized there were times when I was being too harsh on you.”
The heaviness in your chest grew and though Ominis couldn’t see you, you still hid your face from him. A small part of you worried he could somehow sense the relief you were trying to suppress. Still, a treacherous part of you continued to wonder if Sebastian would still do what he did if you had made different choices. Had you, despite your best intention, unknowingly and foolishly led him into darkness?
You took a deep breath.
“Thank you, Ominis.”
*
That night, you dreamt about Isidora’s final repository, tucked deep beneath Hogwarts. Yet instead of locking it away, you absorbed it. Unknown, unlimited power coursing through your veins, taking you to a greater height.
You dreamt that you found Anne and, with that treacherous power, you broke her curse.
*
Feldcroft was as humble and quiet as the first time you visited it. The evening sun bathed the little hamlet in a warm, golden hue, enhancing the colors of the daffodils that grew all over the grassy field. It seemed to be more alive, with villagers loitering around merchants and children running across the meadows. With the goblin forces gone, peace had returned to the hamlet.
Beside you, Sebastian was staring at the idyllic sight with a hollowness in his eyes. The price of freedom surely had never been so steep. Feldcroft was safe, but Solomon was gone, Anne did not want to speak to him, and some villagers were eyeing him warily. There were rumors that the young Sallow boy had cast one of the Unforgivable curses during the last goblin attack. Opinions were divided, some thinking he should be thoroughly investigated, while others thought “Well, good riddance! He saved his sister!”
“Sebastian…”
“Come on,” the brown-haired boy said. “All this walk is making me tired.”
You glanced at Ominis, who seemed to be holding back as many emotions and thoughts as you did. Sighing, you followed Sebastian as he made his way home.
The Sallow cottage was in a slightly worse state, which wasn’t unreasonable, considering nobody lived there anymore. Sebastian hadn’t said anything about his desire to return, but the three of you came to the house anyway to keep it clean and well-maintained.
Solomon Sallow was laid to rest in a simple graveyard in the back of the cottage. Anne had told everyone in the village that he died peacefully in his sleep. Silence stretched as Sebastian stood before the grave, while you and Ominis stood a few feet behind him, watching. The brown-haired boy was still as a statue and you wondered what went through his mind.
But then he sighed and turned to face you, his face calm and eyes clear without a hint of tears.
“I'm done here. Let's get inside.”
With a flick of his wand, the door to the cottage opened easily. Inside, it was as if time was frozen. There was a glass on the table where Anne used to sit, the bed was unmade, an opened letter sitting on top of a nearby fireplace, and the windows were starting to collect dust.
“Well… let’s get to it, then. Nothing a few Scourgify can’t solve,” Sebastian said, trying to maintain a carefree attitude.
The three of you worked in silence, repeating the spell to clean any dust and dirt you laid your eyes on. You turned your attention towards the bookshelf by the window, noticing more opened letters were scattered on the shelves and the floor around it. You averted your gaze, not wanting to take a single peek at the content. One of them caught your eye anyway because it had your name written on it in handwriting you had grown familiar with.
Unable to resist the urge, you carefully picked it up from the floor. As you suspected, it was Sebastian’s letter to Anne, and he was talking about you.
Dear Anne,
Do you remember the new fifth-year I brought with me during my last visit? I forgot to tell you this, but she’s very strong. She’s capable of magic beyond our comprehension and she agreed to help us find a cure. I couldn’t be more grateful that I met her.
Wait for us, Anne. We will cure you, no matter what.
Sebastian
“You know, reading someone else’s letter is considered a breach of privacy,” Sebastian’s voice almost made you jump. You turned to find him already standing next to you, eyes fixated on the letter in your hand.
“I’m sorry. It had my name on it, I got curious,” you shook your head before tucking the letter back into the first empty envelope you could find and stuck it between the books.
“It’s fine. There wasn’t anything scandalous there anyway, thankfully. It was just me singing your praises,” he replied, a faint hint of playfulness lacing his tone.
You bit your lower lip as you looked up at him, uncertain. You never did manage to use your power on Anne. It wasn’t like you knew how to reverse or break a curse — the Keepers didn’t give you much knowledge beyond how crucial it was to use your power responsibly — but you wished you could’ve at least tried.
“I’ve been thinking about reaching out to the Keepers again, now that they’re all present in The Map Chamber,” you finally confessed, picking your words carefully. “These past few weeks I… I’ve been trying to practice the ancient magic on my own, but it proved to be a bit difficult without a mentor. I just…”
You sighed.
“I still wanted to try, if you’re alright with it. To cure Anne, I mean. We… I… didn’t manage to try it before.”
Sebastian's eyes widened as he stared at you in surprise. “If I’m al— of course, it is alright with me! Goodness, after everything I’ve done you still—” he stopped himself, taking a steadying breath before continuing. “Thank you. I… you don’t know how much this means to me.”
A soft smile curved on your lips. “I’ll start working hard, Sebastian. Of course, I have to remind you that there is no guarantee that it will work. Isidora tried to remove pain and ended up creating a destructive force that she could not control. But I promise I will try. Figure something out. Find a middle ground that Isidora couldn’t.”
“And that is enough for me. Really,” he says, half-laughing, averting his gaze because he just couldn’t look you in the eye. The gratefulness he felt was just too great and raw he feared that you could spot it with just a glance. “Though, I suppose… we can only do that if we know where Anne is, can’t we?”
Your smile faded ever so slightly. “Yes, you’re right…” you trailed off before shaking your head and giving him a bright grin. “I believe she’ll come around. You didn’t lose hope back then, so let’s not lose it now.”
The weight of the unspoken fact laid heavy between the two of you: there was a solid chance that Anne wouldn’t return. Yet you chose to gloss over it for Sebastian’s sake. You also would like to believe that the bond between the twins was stronger than any adversities thrown at them, including their current predicament.
It seemed that Sebastian thought of the same thing because he smiled at you and nodded.
“I won’t.”
*
It took around three hours to clean the Sallow cottage until it was spick and span. By that time, the sun had set and the three of you decided to make use of the dining room to eat some desserts you had stolen earlier from Hogwarts’ kitchen.
“I find it a sacrilege that you knew how to get into the kitchen and not tell us,” Sebastian said with a mouth full of bread.
“Sebastian, for the sake of decorum, please swallow your food before you speak,” Ominis lamented, his face contorting in disgust.
“With all due respect, you cannot see me, Ominis.”
“But I can hear you, Sebastian, I'm not deaf.”
You found yourself smiling at their bickering. At moments like these, it was so easy to slip back into your normal routine, so easy to believe that everything was alright. No dark arts. No curses. No forbidden artifacts.
“I have to agree with Ominis on this one, Sebastian, it's gross.”
“See? She has spoken. Listen to her.”
The brown-haired boy rolled his eyes. Still, he finally swallowed his bread and you were grateful for that.
“You're saying that as if I never listened to you.”
Ominis let out a sigh that sounded as if he was a 500-year-old vampire who had grown extremely tired and weary of life.
“Cases where you listened to me are, unfortunately, rare.”
“Alright, alright. We can go to the kitchen tomorrow, I'll show you the way,” you interjected, worried that the discussion would lead to sore topics. “The house-elves were very friendly, I'm sure we won't have any trouble getting there.”
Sebastian grinned. “I know I can always count on you.”
Perhaps it was the playful glint in his eyes or the carefree smile on his lips, but his words made you smile. You tried to mask it by eating another mouthful of your cream puff.
“Though I have to say, bit of a shame I knew about Hogwarts' kitchen so late… but there's always next year, I suppose,” he spoke again.
You glanced at Ominis, and, as if sensing your gaze, the blond boy spoke.
“Speaking of Hogwarts, are you planning to stay here for this term break?”
There was a short silence. Sebastian leaned back on his chair and stared at the ceiling.
“I dunno,” he answered. “I suppose I could… but without Anne this house just felt…”
A pause. He shook his head.
“Well, if you're planning to stay here for the entire break like you used to, I guess it wouldn't be so bad,” he finished, nudging Ominis with his knee.
“I can't. Not for the entire period. The last time I did that, my lovely mother and father had been even more unbearable than they used to be,” Ominis said in disdain. “I must spend a few days or weeks at home, unfortunately, to prevent them from going rabid.”
“Darn it. I'm so sorry, that sounds horrible, Ominis,” Sebastian sighed.
“I agree, some people just… shouldn't be allowed to become parents,” you muttered.
“It was nothing I couldn't handle, as unfortunate as it sounds. But if it does get worse, I won't hesitate to make my escape. You’ll probably find me on your doorstep, Sebastian.”
The brown-haired boy let out a hum. “Escape, huh? These days I've been thinking about that, too. Going somewhere far away from Feldcroft, leaving this place for good…” he said with a faraway look in his eyes, imagining his perfect paradise. “But I couldn't abandon this place when I still don't know where Anne is. Feldcroft is… Feldcroft is the last thread that connected me to my sister.”
“Are you going to stay, then?” Ominis quietly asked.
“I dunno. Frankly, I don't like being here without Anne,” he replied before locking eyes with you. He smiled. “What about you, ace? I reckon you'd go somewhere fun after your heroic deeds this year?”
Your heart leaped ever so slightly at the nickname. ‘Ace’, Sebastian often called you, because you always bested him in a duel, because of your terrifying and extraordinary skills. He used it teasingly at first. A way of getting under your skin or initiating a friendly banter. Now, there was a softness to it.
Though, you probably only imagined it.
“Oh, she's definitely going somewhere alright. Somewhere better than ours,” Ominis muttered.
“Somewhere better? What do you mean?”
“It's a bit of a long story. To keep things brief, Professor Fig made me the beneficiary of his will, meaning, all his possessions are now mine,” you explained. “I now have my own house.”
Sebastian's eyebrows shoot up to his forehead, brown eyes widening in surprise. “Beneficiary?” he repeated, utterly bewildered. “Woah, who would've thought? But I suppose it's not too outlandish, you were quite close with him and you saved Hogwarts. Well deserved!”
“It's a bit strange though, isn't it? I thought he would've picked a relative.”
“Maybe he doesn't have one and that's why he chose you. Could be anything, really,” he shrugged. His gaze momentarily shifts from you to Ominis. “Hold on, I didn't expect you'd tell Ominis before me. You wound me, ace.”
“This isn't a competition, Sebastian,” Ominis replied coolly, though you could sense a bit of amusement seeping into his tone.
“You were still caught up in Herbology class yesterday,” you explained with a shake of your head. “Didn't realize you're quite possessive.”
“I mean, I saw you first,” he said with a low chuckle, the simple action successfully made your treacherous heart race. “And I was the one who dragged you into this circle, so… without me, you wouldn't have been friends with Ominis.”
You let out a laugh and you could hear the other Slytherin boy let out a bored sigh. “It doesn't work like that.”
“Ominis is right. Besides, I remember you made him mad at me for a few days because you told me about The Undercroft. So, the way I see it, you sort of ruined Ominis’ first impression of me.”
“It was a betrayal of our pact,” Ominis nodded dramatically.
“The end justifies the means!” Sebastian retorted, raising both of his hands, a cheeky grin curving on his lips. “Anyway, Fig’s will. What are you planning to do with them?”
Holding his gaze, you sat up straighter, somehow feeling nervous about what you were about to say.
“This is just a thought. A random idea that came into my mind,” you started, greatly intimidated by the innocent way he tilted his head. “Fig’s house is rather spacious and… I don’t know if I could live there alone. Well, I suppose I won’t be alone, there’s a house-elf there, too. But I figure it would still be very, very quiet, with Fig already gone and all… I don’t know, the quiet just… unnerves me lately. So I thought… I’d like to invite the two of you to stay there, with me.”
“You’re asking us what?” Sebastian blurted.
Had this been another one of your mindless, silly discussions, you would’ve laughed at his dumbfounded expression. But unfortunately, it wasn’t.
“But we’re…” he took a panicked look at Ominis. “We’re boys!”
You let out a groan. “You’re saying that as if we hadn’t explored Salazar’s Scriptorium and spent who knows how long exploring goblin camps together!”
“That’s different!” he spluttered, absolutely flabbergasted. “This is… this is living together! Do you not have other friends?”
“I do, but they all have a loving and functional family, so I can’t exactly ask them!”
“I—” he was ready to retort, but you knew he knew there was no arguing that fact. Still, he shook his head. “And what about your family, huh?”
This time, Ominis spoke. “She’s an orphan.”
“She’s a— hang on. Again, how could you know this but I don’t?!”
“You never asked!” you quickly replied, almost impatiently. “But that’s beside the point. You asked me what I wanted to do with the house, well, that’s my idea, but it doesn’t mean I’m forcing any of you to do it. It’s just… a wild, random thought.”
Sebastian was still staring at you as if you had just encouraged everyone to learn Avada Kedavra and insisted that it was actually an ethical spell.
“I mean, I think you'd benefit from being a bit more cautious and careful,” he carefully said.
“Sebastian, I have the ability to turn you into a chicken. No offense, you're a great duelist, but I don't think you can harm me even if you wanted to. And I trust you wouldn't.”
“Of course I wouldn't!”
An awkward silence fell. You couldn't help but glare at Ominis for being awfully silent and unhelpful, before realizing he couldn't see you. Mentally cursing yourself, you began to speak.
“Anyway, it was just an idea,” you waved your hand flippantly, now eager to return to Hogwarts.
Yet Sebastian seemed to have a different opinion. “But you said you couldn't stand the silence and you're still grieving over Fig's passing.”
Your eyes met his and, for a moment, you feared he could look into your soul. He couldn't have possibly found a spell that gave him Dementor’s ability, could he?
“Yes,” you admitted anyway.
You and silence never really went hand in hand. The orphanage had been noisy most of the time. Bustling with a cacophony of children's screams, cries, and chatters. Silence used to be a respite you had often chased yet eluded you.
But things had changed. When the noises receded and the room grew quiet, your mind became unbearably loud. There were so many sounds and thoughts echoing in the back of your head. The sound of Avada Kedavra cutting through the air, the deafening crack as the stone ceiling collapsed above you, burying Fig’s body under its colossal size, the roaring of a dragon. Each night a different memory.
Before you, Sebastian shifted on his seat, his eyes carefully searching yours. “Well, it can't be helped, can it, ace? We'll go with you. Though, Ominis would probably tap out every once in a while because he has such a pleasant family.”
“I'll try to make my family visit as brief as possible,” Ominis murmured. “Anywhere is better than home.”
You stilled, not at all expecting them to agree. A part of yourself wanted to laugh at the turn of events. You and Ominis should've been the one giving support to Sebastian, yet the tables turned and now you were the one being cared for. Perhaps Ominis had orchestrated the flow of the conversation to keep Sebastian in the dark. You found yourself not minding it, though.
For now, you let yourself revel in the rare feeling of your friends coming to your rescue.
“Alright. It's a deal. No going back on your promises.”
“Of course,” Ominis replied, his voice soft, a gentle smile curving on his lips.
Sebastian locked eyes with you again and he grinned. “Wouldn't even dream about it.”
*
Time went by in a terrifying sleep. Somehow, you finished your O.W.L exams and your last day at Hogwarts had arrived. The Gryffindor table erupted in a loud, booming cheer when Phineas Nigellus Black, without masking his disdain, announced that they had won the house cup. You couldn't help but revel in your fellow housemates’ euphoria.
“Imelda Reyes was talking about how Slytherin would win the house cup,” Nellie Oggspire said conspiratorially. “I told her if Gryffindor didn't win, then the system is rigged and Hogwarts’ integrity should be questioned! You have saved this school and the wizarding world! I say that should warrant a permanent house cup victory for Gryffindor until the next seven years!”
It was a wild idea, but you found yourself not minding it. Besides, you agreed with Nellie.
“What's important is that we won,” Natty said, a satisfied smile blooming on her lips as she sat straighter than usual. She started picking up pastries from the table and placed them on your plate. “Now, I believe our hero should have her own feast!”
“Hear, hear!” Garreth whistled.
You let out a hearty laugh, happy at the absurd amount of pastries and desserts filling your plate. However, when your eyes caught the empty seat where Fig usually sat, an emptiness crept its way into your heart. Grief had been woken up from its slumber. You tore your gaze away and, somehow, it landed on the Slytherin table. Meeting with Sebastian's. He gave you a knowing smile and raised his glass. A silent acknowledgment, which you returned.
Still, the emptiness clung to your figure as you dragged your feet back to your room, where your neatly packed trunks had been waiting. For a moment, you stood there, casting your gaze around the room, determined to memorize every detail even though you would return in a few months.
“Hey, don't look too sad.”
You turned around to find Natty leaning against the doorframe, a sympathetic smile curling on her lips.
“We'll all see each other again in a few months.”
A sigh. You let out a low chuckle. “Yeah, I suppose you’re right. I’m being sappy, aren’t I?”
Natty’s dark eyes crinkled in delight. “You’re not, this school tends to have that effect on people. And don't worry. I'll make sure to write you lots of letters. That way, you won't feel too lonely.”
The smile on your lips grew.
“Thank you, Natty.”
The journey to Hogsmeade train station was loud, as the students' chatter filled the air like the humming of a thousand bees. You managed to claim an empty thestral carriage for Garreth, Natty, Poppy, and yourself. As other students began to fill the remaining carriages, you spotted Sebastian and Ominis in the crowd. Quickly, you raised your hands, calling out to them.
Soon enough, your carriage was filled with familiar faces. The faces of your first friends in Hogwarts. Some roped you into trouble, some helped you achieve the unimaginable. All of them you cherished.
“Huh, I think this is my first time seeing you joining the train ride to London, Sallow,” Garreth was the first to speak, eyeing the brown-haired boy curiously.
Sebastian's eyes locked with yours for a fleeting second before he cleared his throat. “I'm moving somewhere closer to London this year.”
Garreth hummed in acknowledgment. Silence blanketed the carriage for a moment, only broken by the huffing of the thestral and the sound of the wheel grounding against wet soil.
“I'm sorry about your uncle,” Poppy finally spoke with a gentleness akin to the caution one might show when approaching a wounded puppy. “First Anne and now your uncle… you've been through a lot.”
This time, Sebastian avoided your eyes, but you could somewhat feel the tension in his body. Feldcroft was not at all far from Hogwarts and words traveled far. Condolences had been given, as everyone, just like the villagers in that little hamlet, believed that Solomon Sallow died of natural causes. The gruesome truth was only known by you, Sebastian, Ominis, and Anne, and all of you guarded it close to your chests.
“Thank you, Poppy, I appreciate it,” Sebastian replied with a hollow smile that did not quite reach his eyes, an expression that could be easily mistaken as grief.
“How's Anne? Is she coming with you to London?” Natty asked.
You opened your mouth, wanting to interject, worried that the innocent question would only rub more salt into Sebastian's wound. But to your surprise, the boy was smiling earnestly. His eyes reflected just the right amount of sadness. Enough to make everything believable.
“Anne is in France with one of our great aunts. She moved there after Uncle Solomon passed away. It was a tough decision, but… we agreed it was for the best.”
“I see…” Natty replied, completely none the wiser. “Well, I wish only the best for you, Sebastian. I know how much you care for your sister. I hope that one day, you'll be able to find a cure for her.”
This time, Sebastian faltered. From his side, Ominis inched forward, opening his mouth, no doubt eager to change the topic, worried about how it would affect Sebastian.
Yet before he could say a word, Garreth spoke.
“I believe you will find that cure, Sallow,” he said plainly, simply, as if stating that anyone with a brain can brew an Edurus potion. “What? This world is a big place and magic is a boundless thing. I'm pretty sure it's out there somewhere. If not now, perhaps sometime in the future.”
“I think this is my first time hearing you saying something so wise, Garreth,” Natty said in amazement. “I did not know you had it in you.”
“Rude!” Garreth retorted, feigning a hurt expression. “I'll have you know that this brain of mine contains a multitude of new potion recipes ready to be tested! You think I am incapable of weaving pretty words?”
“It's a bit hard to imagine that when you regularly blow up your cauldron, to be honest,” Poppy said, grimacing.
“And stealing from Professor Sharp's ingredients vault,” Ominis spoke for the first time, half-amused, half-relieved to fuel a new topic that did not concern Sebastian, Solomon, or Anne.
Garreth protested, yet his voice was drowned by Natty and Poppy’s laughter. As your friends recounted more of his shenanigans, you locked eyes with Sebastian once again. His expression was soft, akin to relief. You tilted your head to one side, pink lips curling into a lopsided smile, which widened when he mirrored your actions.
No words were spoken, but you knew he found comfort in Garreth's words, and for that, you couldn't have been more relieved.
*
It was almost sunset when the train arrived at King’s Cross Station in London. Students flooded out of the train, ready to be reunited with their families, ready to go home. Poppy found her grandmother in the crowd and you could hear her delighted squeal as she wrapped the older woman in a big hug. Garreth went his separate way not long after. You noticed him being welcomed by a group of people, all having almost identical red hair and the same kindhearted look. Must be the Weasleys.
“Well, here we are, London,” from your side, Sebastian hummed. “Where to now?”
“The house is on the outskirts of the city. I think it's best if we take a carriage there. What do you think, Ominis?” you asked, turning to the blond-haired boy who had been rather quiet throughout the entire ride home.
To your surprise, Ominis looked exhausted. You looked down to find him nervously fiddling with his wand.
“My mother’s helpers are here. I can sense them,” he quietly said, dipping his head low. “I suppose this means I have to go see my parents first.”
“Oh…” you stilled, unsure of what to do.
If it were up to you, you'd waste no time whisking him away and maybe transfigure this helper into a chicken. The rest of his family, too. Good riddance. Yet you knew it wasn't what Ominis wanted. You probably couldn't do it either. Plus, you'd rather not get involved with the authorities, lousy as they were.
“We understand, have a safe trip, Ominis,” Sebastian said, patting the boy's back. “Let us know if you need us to kidnap you from that hell hole.”
Ominis tried to smile, but it came out strained.
“Thank you, but I'd rather you not go anywhere near my family. I don't want them to taint any of you,” he turned towards your direction. “Especially you, since we know nothing of your blood status.”
“...I understand. Please, be careful, Ominis.”
He nodded. You couldn't help but find how drastically Ominis changed in a matter of seconds. The sweet, gentle Ominis always seemed to glow when he was in Hogwarts. His smile was relaxed and his voice soft. A serene look on his face whenever he dozed off in class. Yet now, his light had been dimmed out. Eyebrows furrowed, hands couldn't stop picking on his fingernails. He looked terrified.
“I will,” he said anyway. “Be on the lookout. I honestly do not know how long I must stay at that torture house… but I'll try to join you as soon as I can.”
Sebastian patted Ominis' shoulder once again, this time giving it a firm squeeze. “Stay safe, and I mean it, call us if you need some help to escape.”
“I will. Don't worry. I have my ways,” the blond-haired boy said, relenting. He took a deep breath and placed both hands on his trolley. “See you again. And don't do anything weird when I'm gone.”
“We won't. Not too much, at least,” Sebastian replied, amusement lacing his tone.
“I'm going to pretend I didn't hear the last sentence,” Ominis huffed. He stood there for a moment, still facing the two of you. “Well, I better get going.”
“See you, Ominis.”
The Gaunt boy nodded. His expression was grim. But he adjusted his bag handles and pushed his trunk towards one of the exits. True to his words, you could see about three wizards waiting there, all dressed in black. They crowded around Ominis as soon as he was close enough, taking his belongings away from his hands to carry them on their own. No doubt it was how the heir of an important, old-money family should be treated. Yet you couldn't help but think your friend looked like a caged dove. There was a weight on his shoulders that wasn't really there before.
“He'll be alright. We've done this a couple of times before. Don't worry,” Sebastian said, nudging you with his elbow.
“Right,” you sighed and looked around the still-crowded station. “Let's go, then, but make sure nobody sees us. I'd rather them not ask any questions or worse, spread gossip.”
He let out a low chuckle. “Bit too late to consider that detail, don't you think?”
“Oh, shut it.”
Quietly, away from everyone's eyes, you and Sebastian slipped away, but not before casting one last glance at the view behind you. At the train, at Natty, Poppy, and Garreth, laughing as their families welcomed them home, hands laced together. At Ominis’ disappearing figure.
“You coming? I don’t mind leading but I kind of don’t know the way.”
You turned to find Sebastian leaning on his trolley, looking at you with an arched eyebrow, a playful smile tugging on his lips.
“I’m coming, I’m coming. Follow me, country boy.”
“Lead the way, city girl.”

If mist had a route in btd how would it be like? What would get you killed, what environment would we be in, and what would be some of the good and bad endings?
That's a wonderful question! I didn't really have a route for her during BTD because she was a good and timid at that time, just trying to adapt to the situation she found herself in, but I did start to plan her route for TPoF-period, when she changed a lot. And I'll try to be as brief as possible.
I guess I should fill her in on her nature first, because she's definitely not human and not exactly a beastkin. She was until her first real death in Strade's basement, but after that, she's a creature that can only exist through the consciousness and memories of other people. She's drawn to power, to authority, to life itself in all its manifestation, secretly envious of those who have that gift, not worried about disappearing without a trace at any given time. Mist is technically immortal; playful, capricious, cunning, manipulative, and unpredictable as cat itself, with a charisma and the ability to talk anyone out of it, and also paranoid. (And to avoid further questions: No, she does not have magical abilities to hide her ears and tail. And yes, the cultists has gotten used to her appearance. And yes, newcomers do not immediately notice her peculiarities, because she has a habit of pressing her cat ears to her hair, and her tail is not visible under her coats/skirts ^3^) The question of creating a cult would be a matter of time for her: for power, for protection, for her own life.
Sonia Milasch, also known as "Mist", is the leader of a cult called "Anima Infinita", which she created over five years together with her two assistants (I will not tell much about it, since there is already a lot of text here.)
You could say that this route is an AU, in which she would agree to cooperate with a person who insistently demanded her cooperation and her cult lives and prospers. In reality, she failed.
-Location: The route itself will take place in an isolated territory-cult base in the forest near the lake. The territory is surrounded by a stone fence.
-Main opponents/possible allies: Mist + Tanya, Bruno (and I still need to come up with more characters, because so far there are two horny women and one man who just wants order :D)
-Time: 3 days.
-Map: As for specific locations, I have too many different ideas right now, but MC can use the map to move around the territory.
-Backstory:
"You were having a hard time dealing with the loss of a dear relative who had recently left this world. The wound on your heart and soul was still bleeding, and a sudden letter on social networks made your heart clench with renewed vigor. Judging by the last name, it was some relative you hadn't heard of before, but the amount of information she had about the life of the deceased relative made you think that it was all true. You both had a lot to remember and grieve about, a lot to share, when after a couple of days of your communication, she sent you an invitation link to a charming and peaceful website in light colors and with an elegant swift symbol on the page banner, the text of which spoke of a cult that temporarily lived like a family, conducting psychological trainings and group therapies to heal psychological trauma. Doubts overwhelmed you, but your relative assured you that her friend had returned after these trainings, finally, peaceful and calm and that she herself is going to go to tomorrow's gathering of new members:
1) Agree (continuation of the plot) 2) Disagree (ending 0 (You stayed home, deciding that you still had the inner strength to cope with depression.)
You filled out the application form on the website for admission to the Cult (name, pronoun, data) and were approved and included in the list and, at the appointed time, at the appointed place, you arrived a little late. Unfortunately, it was your bus that broke down, what a misfortune. But then you passed through the gate of the stone fence and found yourself inside the base, which had several buildings, people scurrying around and everything seemed so lively that you even got a little confused, but before you had time to come to your senses, you were quickly overtaken by a short young woman with a tablet in her hands. "
SO, Mist approached MC and scolded them a little for being late, but overall, she greeted them warmly, almost in a motherly manner. She said that in 3 days they would have a holiday for which she was preparing, so the MC would have the opportunity to help her, increase her sympathy for them and generally chat and learn more about the cult or can refuse and walk around the territory.
Near the training complex, MC can meet Tanya: a tall woman with a braided high ponytail, dark hair and yellow eyes. She will mockingly note that newcomers must adhere to strict discipline and that many places are closed to them for now, and trespassing will lead to various punishments, for which she is responsible. However, tomorrow there is some kind of pre-holiday games planned, in which newcomers can show their strengths and weaknesses. MC can ask what awaits the winners, to which she will smile, shake her head and say that the prize will always find its winner, you just need to be more patient.
Near the armory you can meet Bruno: a tall man with light, slightly curly hair, green eyes, in a sand-colored military jacket, he went out to smoke. He treats newcomers patronizingly and does not give off any coldness or aggression, you can learn from him that he can't stand the holiday that is approaching, but he can't object to Mist and in general feels calmer when she is happy. In general, on the first day, you can hang around, talk to NPCs, increase the sympathy of main characters, and go to bed at night.
Possible endings on the first day: (possible on any other day): "You were a danger." (try to escape after arriving at a closed area -> shot from a sniper rifle on a fence tower. Affection does not affect. Death.)
-Second day. Pre-holiday games.
In general, if I were developing a game, I think I would add a few mini-games to this segment, but if I were creating a novel, I think there would only be role-playing of the MC, like he's either weak or active, I don't know. Or insert some randomness. If MC shows high results in active games, this will greatly increase Tanya's sympathy, slightly increase Bruno's sympathy, and Mist doesn't give a shit at all. Her sympathy can be increased if you take a break during the games and chat with her, at the same time find out that in general she likes games and especially winning them, which didn't happen as often as she wanted, but the main thing in games is not winning, but participating and having fun. Also, she can say that she hasn't been feeling well in the last few days, so if she weren't nauseous and cold, she would definitely take part in jumping over a goat. If MC expresses concern, they will receive sympathy, and at the same time learn that she plans to fly home from the base tomorrow.
Also, while everyone is busy, MC can explore locations that were previously prohibited. For example, the armory or one of the barns. Feeling that something is wrong with this cult (I think MC could have seen in advance that the snipers was not letting anyone out and draw their own conclusions), they could take either a pistol or a knife for self-defense. If they start shooting somewhere near Bruno, his PTSD trigger will work (yes, he is a former military man with PTSD, surprise surprise…..) and he will lose control of himself, killing not only MC, but also several people nearby.
MC can kill Tanya with a knife, kill Bruno, if they stab Mist with a knife, she will shoot MC.
They can get into the barn where barrels of narcotic gas are stored, which makes other cultists more loyal, but in this case the MC will get stuck here and will not be able to get out (they will only get out into the grave, sorry) And oh my god, I'll probably stop with the plot at this point, because it all takes too long to describe and the amount of text is already scaring me. I'll stop at the deaths and briefly describe them.
Endings of the second day:
1) "Bruno did not recognize you." (After the shot, Bruno triggers and kills the MC and several people with his bare hands. Affection does not affect. Death)
2) "Man's best friend." (Increase Mist's max sympathy -> she will start flirting and hinting at MC -> They won't mind intimacy -> after sex Mist will cut off their hands, feet and tongue so that they can only make coughing barking sounds and become a good girl/good boy and keeping secret. Survived!)
3) "Overdose." (Release 10 times the narcotic gas by inhaling it in a closed barn. Death.)
4) "Lovely sweet dream." (Release the gas 5-6 times and wait, after which the MC will start seeing charming hallucinations. A moment later, Mist will come to the barn IN A FURIOUS FURY, because the ingredients and the creation of this gas cost a lot of money, and some newbie is sucking it in with one nose. The MC will not even understand anything, as he will see in the hallucinations his heart in Mist's hand, which was still beating until she sharply squeezed it. Death.)
5) "Mist ended the fight" (MC stabbed her with a knife, and Mist shot their brains out in response.)
The personal endings of other characters are still being thought out, since the list of characters is still not complete-
Endings of day 3.
1) "You have made your contribution." (The essence of the holiday is sacrifice. MC's throat was cut and thrown into the lake, so the last thing they saw was how the water turned a deep scarlet color. Low affection of all characters. Death.)
2) "You do not belong here." (The award has found its winner. Having shown excellent results in the games of the second day, MC was pumped up with drugs and they and some other newcomers were exported further by helicopter, like goods, and their further fate is no longer the concern of the cult. Survived.)
There is a variation of this ending, with high affection of Mist and with the condition that her flirtations were ignored, replaced by care. Then on the helicopter she will want MC to fly with her as an escort due to poor health. It's a pity that at the end of the journey death from a shot to the head awaits, although Mist will really try to save MC.
That's all I've thought of for now :)

Nowadays, I'm not very motivated to spend money on digital items given the whole temporary aspect of it. However.
I wish Subeta would consider selling physical merchandise again. The only existing merchandise that I'm aware of is the Kumos plushie + coloring book.
I'd love a Serpenth charm. Or an art book (a Subetapedia book?) with concept sketches. Stickers of the actual stickers on-site or pets or minions...
#subeta#i'd be happy to preorder larger merch... but ig the issue is the amount of time and prep it would take and it'd still need upfront costs#not to mention the customer service aspect of it#i wonder if they still have the coloring pages#i'd buy a pdf to download print and color them at home lol

Pages from trying to keep a little sketchbook-scrapbook type thing going for two weeks lol. I gave myself specific rules in hopes they might all end up more cohesive/consistent seeming, but alas, scribbly chaos reigns, it seems
#sketchbook#scrapbook#Actually I feel like these are kind of incomprehensible in photo form like.. In person holding the book its easy to look at#but as images on this scale I feel like there's so much tiny little text and small scribles and stuff you'd have to 'right click > open#image in new browser tab > zoom in' just to actually really see the thing. which for 7 images is excessive lol.. so. probably not the best#medium for sharing really but. I suppose I thought they might look cooler lined up next to each other. The whole part of using a#limited color palette is so that maybe they kind of seem to have more consistent color schemes or something throughout. but I dont#know if they look all that 'related' or not. I think these types of challenges I have always sucked at because I am a being of clutter and#excess. I can't just do like one little simple nice looking design and have that Crisp Neat calligraphy with evenhanded perfect lines#and perfect symmetical composition and etc. etc. Like some poeple post very aesthetically clean and cohesive looking sketch#pages or something but I simply cannot hold back the brain impulse to add more. more. more. Fill every single blank space with color#or a little drawing or a sticker or something. I take away 500 things and there are still a million there. Even when I thik I'm being#'simplistic' I'm still usually being 2x more complicated and cluttered than the standard or whatever lol. I guess thats clear from my#outfits/costumes though too. Like whatever that saying is from that person about something like 'before you leave the house take off one#more accessory. you dont need it' for me is like.. 'before you leave the house. add 10 more accessories. and 6 more layers. and another'#AAANyway. I wonder if also maybe some people would try to plan theirs in a way to look good or something or like.. plot things on the page#before placing them. I did sometimes have a theme for a day kind of (like day 10 I ended up finding a few gold and green things and then#was like.. hey... what if I looked for a few other things and only used these colors today') but aside from that I was just slapping down#stickers randomly and working around them to fill the page. Maybe a lot of neat minimalistic asthetic design is about planning and#having a Vision set ahead of time. instead of just complete random whatever. doodling whilst watching youtube videos or eating lunch. It's#a miracle actually I've managed to not spill any food on the book the whole time. anyway.. I do wish the highlighter really showed up. the#scanner kind of makes the colors look VERY different to irl. But also it got much clearer images than just camera pictures of pages. alas..#..Still oddly enjoy the phrase 'Salisbury Steak gently kissed with industrial pollutants'#probably my favorite section of 'gluing random papers and things onto the page' lol#Also I wonder if it's super obvious that I literally never ever use references when I draw (save for the few freakish looking youtube#face sketches) since everyone is always in the same positions and looking very similar ghhb. This could have been a good opportunity to#work on not solely drawing from my mind and try to do more Dynamic Experimental scribbles. NO. Same exact eye for the 90th time#be upon ye. But I guess it was meant to be casual 'daily doodles'. True 'practice' would make it seem too effortful like a full project. hm#(lol the one decimated pencil in the set... never hand me a writing utensil. i will passively destroy it somehow. shaving the sides of a#pencil off with a knife or snapping a pen in half as a nervous fidget without even realizing i've done it. sorry to the drawing implements)

now that i’m learning about riko sheridan, i’m even more glad about the fact that cassandra cain has plain black hair. the fact that dc has, just to my limited knowledge, put at least three separate asian characters into the “edgy asian girl with colored hair” trope, especially with at least two of the three (not sure about riko yet) being seen as “bad” for a portion of their stories
#like obviously this isn’t a huge issue it’s just something i noticed as an asian person#and of course there’s many asian heroes who do have dark or natural colored hair; it’s just something that popped into my head recently#dc#mine#riko sheridan#lian harper#shawn tsang#cassandra cain#also i’m like 80% sure that this is riko? i’ve only seen her in robin war so far and she doesn’t look like this at all#so i’m wondering when this change happened#her wiki pages are unfortunately very blank#EDIT: apparently she and dax go evil bc duke left them :/#but! lian was only undercover! so we’re still 2/3 bad guys lol

New yearly art summary time 👍
I feel this this year has been a very weird time for my art style and how I draw in general, but I like to think it’s been a fairly positive year for my art even if I didn’t draw as much this year as I have for past ones
Past years 👍
#rat rambles#keese draws#I like to think of this year as the year oni collided with my art style causing me to revert back to smth more similar to my 2020 style#but like in a good way#I had to take a several year detour to get to this point but I’d say it was worth it#for next year I think I’m hoping to try to fuck around with poses more again#I didn’t not do funky poses in my art this year but I defini haven’t been pushing myself very hard in that department#I feel like this year was more abt streamlining my art style a bit so I could go back to actually having more fun drawing#I like to think it shows#this was also a big year for me in terms of doodles because for the first year basically ever I actually Did doodle#I have been doing sketch pages and shit and I think that’s been doing wonders in terms of getting me into better sketching habits#I actually more so have fun now with my sketches which has definitely not been the case before#I also think I’m continuing to get better at colors so that’s good#so yeah even tho I don’t feel like I drew much this year my art has still made a lot of progress I think#and considering this year has been a bit of a mess for me I’m glad I can say I’ve made progress in smth at least

May I request a five x reader where they are living domestically and just being happy and lovey dovey especially experiencing everything they did together while being in the apocalypse, the time commission, stoping the other apocalypses etc (five x Lila doesn’t exist five x Lila doesn’t exist five x Lilia doesn’t-)
a/n: this piece is basically a big fuck you to s4 so enjoy five being happy and domestic with reader and not his own brother’s wife. also five and reader are mentally older adults but physically in their twenties
warnings: language, fluff, mentions of pregnancy
summary: now that the timeline has been fixed and the world is no longer in danger, five can enjoy a peaceful life with you
The sunlight that bleeds through the curtains is almost blinding as Five begins to stir himself awake. Stretching out his limbs until he hears a satisfying pop, he lets out a sigh and moves to reach out for someone that isn’t there. Your spot in bed is still warm which means you haven’t been gone for long, but Five still rises with a sense of urgency when greeted with your absence. Call it muscle memory from dealing with multiple kidnapping ploys against you or an old habit that just won’t die off after having to remain vigilant when protecting you from the enemy, but the poor boy’s heart always skips a beat when you go missing.
He finds you in the kitchen brewing a fresh pot of coffee, your back to him as you hum along to the radio that plays on the counter and search for Five’s favorite cup in the cabinet. He has to pause and take a breath to remind himself that you’re not in danger, your life of protecting timelines and ending apocalypses is over, and the fresh start you’ve made for yourselves isn’t in any jeopardy. You’re real, you’re alive, and you’re his.
“Morning,” Five softly calls with a careful smile as he rests a hand on the small of your back and presses a tender kiss to your lips.
“Good morning,” you great cheerfully before handing him his cup of coffee. “I didn’t hear you get up. Did I wake you?”
“Not at all,” he assures you before taking a hearty gulp of the hot liquid. After years of being together you know how to make Five’s coffee just the way he likes it and could probably do so in your sleep if asked. Your thoughtfulness is just one of the many traits of yours that have him wrapped around your finger always.
“We need to go grocery shopping,” you note dutifully as you peek your head into the fridge in search of breakfast. Frowning, you announce, “We’re out of eggs, so I guess it’s frozen waffles for breakfast.”
“Why don’t we go out for breakfast today?” Five suggests with an innocent shrug.
“Really? But you hate breakfast places. They can never make your coffee right.”
“I also hate seeing you eat frozen waffles three days in a row,” he reminds you with a wry chuckle. Maneuvering you out of the way, Five closes the fridge shut and gives you a gentle nudge in the direction of your shared bedroom. “Go on, get dressed. You can wear that new dress you bought the other day.”
“You’re right!” You exclaim with an excited gasp and rush off to your room before Five can change his mind. Not that he would, of course. Five would do anything to see you happy after all the shit he’s put you through in your time together. Sometimes he still wonders why you ever agreed to marry him, perhaps a slip of sanity or lack of care for your own wellbeing, but he wasn’t one to complain. He liked living the quiet life with you, and he wouldn’t change it for the world.
~~~
The night air is cool against your bare shoulders as you sit comfortably upon the porch swing and listen to the cicadas sing their evening song. The sun has long since set, but the string of lights that hang above you are enough to allow you to see the pages of your color by numbers book. Beside you, Five sits with a book in one hand while the other rests atop of your legs strewn across his lap. He enjoys sitting in the silence of your company as you remain glued together despite partaking in your own hobbies separately.
“We’ve been married for thirty years,” you state simply, breaking the silence but never once breaking your focus from your coloring book.
“Sure have,” is Five’s thoughtful reply. Setting his book aside, your husband gives your calf a gentle squeeze and turns to look at your concentrated features.
“Not including your siblings, it’s always been just us. Together in the apocalypse, partners under the Commission, husband and wife.”
“Is that a bad thing?” He asks, not quite sure what point you’re trying to make. Are you rethinking the marriage? Are you finally starting to have regrets about marrying him? He watches with bated breath as you set your materials to the side and finally meet his anxious gaze.
“I want to start a family of our own,” you finally confess, nervously fidgeting with your wedding ring as you await his response with hopeful eyes. “I don’t want it to be just us anymore.”
Sighing, Five leans his head back and shuts his eyes as he processes your request. He can’t say he’s surprised by your question; he’s noticed the way you eye babies in public, how you linger just a little too long to admire the window display of the infant clothing store at the mall, how you’ll hold the twins for hours in your arms and refuse to give them back until Diego has to physically pry them from your grasp. It’s only natural for you to feel this way, but that’s not the problem. The problem is Five isn’t exactly sure how he feels about becoming a father.
“I don’t know,” he admits carefully, taking great caution when choosing his next words so as to not upset you. “Having a kid, becoming parents… it changes everything.”
“I know we couldn’t before because there was the Commission and then the multiple apocalypses, and that’s why I never asked. But Five,” you urge gently, shifting to sit yourself up on your knees so you can reach over and take both of his hands in your own, “all of that is done with. We fixed the timeline, and all that end of the world nonsense is over with for good. No one is coming after us anymore or trying to kill me to get to you. We can properly grow old now and have a simple life together, wasn’t that always the goal?”
The boy is silent as he mulls over your speech. You’re completely right; saving the world and resetting the timeline to its proper place in order to ensure you and his siblings could have the lives you deserved was always the end goal. But after spending his entire existence trying to complete that task, he finds it hard to adjust to his new life of normalcy. Perhaps he’s not exactly scared of becoming a parent, but scared of what a baby would mean in the grand scheme of things. It would be proof that his work is truly over now, that he can turn his survival mode off after having it set to fight for so many years, and that’s a big adjustment for someone like him.
But when he looks at your hopeful gaze and sees the way you anxiously worry your lip between your teeth, he realizes that he’ll do anything to give you the happy life you deserve. He brings one of your hands to his lips and holds it tight as he murmurs his answer into the skin of your palm.
“If you think we’re ready, then I’m in.”
“You mean it?” You gasp while doing your best to withhold your excitement. Your eyes are wide and full of hope as Five lets out a soft chuckle before giving you a reassuring kiss.
“We survived the end of the world several times, how scary could raising a baby really be?”
He isn’t given an answer to his hypothetical question as you fling yourself into his arms and assault his face with multiple kisses along his skin. It’s safe to say his answer has eased your anxieties, and the boy can only laugh as you express your gratitude.
“I’m so happy you agree!” You exclaim giddily, your hands coming to rest upon his chest to ground yourself as you then suggest to Five’s surprise, “Let’s start trying tonight!”
“What?”
~~~
“That has to be the tiniest Hargreeves I’ve ever seen,” Klaus gushes adoringly as he takes in the details of the ultrasound photo in front of him. “Look at the little peanut, isn’t it precious?”
“I can’t believe Five is actually going to be a dad,” Allison notes in astonishment as the three of you turn your gaze to see him arguing with Diego over the proper way to baby proof your home while Ben eggs them on and ruins Luther’s efforts at trying to keep the peace. You’re only two months along, but Five is anxious to ensure that everything is perfect for your child’s arrival.
“You know, you might just be the first 65 year-old woman to give birth,” Klaus points out cheekily. “You should be in a world records book or something.”
“Very funny,” you retort sarcastically before taking back the ultrasound photo to hang up on the fridge. You falter for a moment when your eyes remain stuck to photo and your brain works on overdrive to commit the image to memory as best as you can.
“Everything okay?” Viktor asks after noticing the sudden change in demeanor.
“I just can’t believe this is real,” you murmur quietly, blinking back tears that threaten to spill. “After everything we’ve been through and everything we’ve lost, I guess a part of me worries that one day I’ll wake up and this will all have been a dream.”
“I know how that feels,” Allison assures you with a comforting squeeze to your shoulder. “But I promise you this isn’t a dream, and whatever you need we’ll be there.”
“Because you’re family now,” Viktor adds on with a confident nod. “And we look out for family no matter what.”
“Even though at one point in our lives we’ve all thought about killing each other,” Klaus notes humorously before giving you a tight squeeze.
“Everything okay over here?” Five asks, appearing at your side and placing a comforting hand on your back as you all turn your gazes towards the fridge and admire the newest addition to the family.
“Everything is perfect.”

summary: drew tries to play a playful prank by taking off his wedding ring, but his smart and sweet 2-year-old son, rustyn, immediately notices and innocently points out that it might make mommy sad. what starts as a simple joke turns into a heartwarming reminder of the love and connection between you, drew, and your son, and the importance of the little things that symbolize that love.
warning(s): english is not my native language. pure fluff, heartwarming family moments, playful teasing, and deep emotional connections.

The warmth of the sunlight and the gentle sound of waves from outside made everything feel peaceful and calm—your perfect little haven. You were curled up on the couch with your son, Rustyn, nestled comfortably in your lap, his small head resting against your chest. He was two, but sometimes you marveled at how much older he seemed, with his sharp curiosity and his endless questions.
Rustyn’s favorite book was in your hands as you read to him, your voice soft and soothing as you flipped through the colorful pages. Every few moments, Rustyn would point to a picture and ask you about it. His little hands would grab at the air in excitement as he processed each new detail.
“Mommy, why is that bunny wearing a hat?” Rustyn asked, his bright blue eyes full of curiosity.
You chuckled softly, brushing a hand through his soft curls. “Maybe he’s going on an adventure, sweetie. What do you think?”
Rustyn considered this seriously, his face scrunching up in concentration. “Yeah, maybe. I like adventures.”
“I know you do,” you said with a smile, kissing the top of his head. “You’ll have lots of them when you get bigger.”
Rustyn nodded, clearly satisfied with your answer, and snuggled closer to you. He let out a small sigh, content in the warmth of your embrace. You couldn’t help but smile, your heart swelling with love as you continued to read. These were the moments you cherished—the quiet, everyday moments that made your little family feel complete.
As you were nearing the end of the story, you noticed Drew standing in the kitchen, leaning casually against the counter. He was watching the two of you with that familiar look of affection in his eyes, the one that always made you feel so loved. But today, there was something else—a mischievous twinkle that you hadn’t quite noticed before.
Drew took a sip of water, then set the glass down with a small, playful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. You raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what he was up to. He didn’t say anything, just casually strolled into the living room and leaned down to scoop Rustyn up from your lap.
“Come here, little man,” Drew said, his voice warm as he lifted Rustyn into his arms.
Rustyn squealed in delight, wrapping his tiny arms around Drew’s neck and giggling as Drew spun him around in a playful circle. “Dada!” Rustyn cried out, his laughter echoing through the room.
“Having fun with Mommy?” Drew asked, settling Rustyn on his hip, still grinning as he glanced at you.
“Yeah! Mommy was reading to me,” Rustyn said proudly, his voice full of excitement.
But as Rustyn snuggled against Drew, his sharp little eyes caught something unusual. He tilted his head, his gaze narrowing in confusion as he stared at Drew’s left hand. You hadn’t noticed it before, but now, following Rustyn’s gaze, you realized that Drew’s wedding ring was missing.
Rustyn furrowed his tiny brow, clearly puzzled. His voice, though small and innocent, was filled with a sense of concern. “Dada...where’s your ring?”
You blinked, surprised by how quickly Rustyn had noticed. You hadn’t even realized it yourself, but there it was—Drew’s left hand, conspicuously bare. You glanced at Drew, raising an eyebrow as you waited for him to respond.
Drew, ever the playful one, kept his cool. He smiled down at Rustyn, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. “Oh, that? Dada just didn’t feel like wearing it today, buddy.”
Your mouth dropped open slightly as you watched Drew, a mixture of amusement and curiosity bubbling up inside you. What was he up to? He knew how much that ring meant to both of you, and though it wasn’t a serious situation, you couldn’t help but wonder how this was going to play out.
Rustyn, however, wasn’t so easily fooled. His little face scrunched up again, and he looked from Drew’s hand to your face, his innocent expression filled with concern. He tugged lightly on Drew’s shirt, trying to make sense of what he was hearing.
“Dada,” Rustyn said in his most serious tone, his voice soft but full of wisdom beyond his years, “you know you gonna make Mommy sad.”
The room fell into silence, the weight of Rustyn’s innocent words settling between the three of you. You felt your heart swell as you looked at your son, his little face so earnest and full of love for both of you. His concern for your feelings, even at such a young age, was enough to make your heart melt.
Drew’s grin faltered slightly as he looked at Rustyn, clearly taken aback by his son’s sharp observation. The teasing light in his eyes softened, and he let out a small chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. “Oh really?” he asked, his voice filled with affection as he looked back down at Rustyn. “You think Mommy will be sad if I don’t wear my ring?”
Rustyn nodded, his tiny hand reaching out to touch Drew’s bare finger. “Yeah, ‘cause it means you love her.”
You felt a lump form in your throat at Rustyn’s sweet words, and you had to blink back the sudden tears that pricked at your eyes. How did this little boy know so much? How could someone so young be so in tune with your feelings? It was moments like these that reminded you just how special Rustyn was.
Drew’s eyes softened even further as he looked at you, and the playful smirk faded into something much more tender. He reached into his pocket, pulling out his wedding ring with a slow, deliberate motion. He slid it back onto his finger, never breaking eye contact with you.
“Well, we can’t have Mommy being sad, can we, buddy?” Drew said softly, his voice warm as he turned his attention back to Rustyn. “Is that better?”
Rustyn’s face lit up with a smile so wide it made your heart flutter. “Yeah, Dada! Now you make Mommy happy again!”
Drew chuckled, glancing at you with a loving smile. “What do you think? Is our little man right? Does the ring make you happy?”
You smiled back at him, your heart full as you nodded. “He’s always right,” you said softly, reaching out to gently squeeze Drew’s hand. “You know how much that ring means to me.”
Drew leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, his hand still entwined with yours. “I know, baby,” he whispered, his voice low and full of affection.
Rustyn, clearly pleased with the resolution of the situation, snuggled into Drew’s chest, his tiny arms wrapping around his dad’s neck. “Dada loves Mommy,” he said with absolute certainty, as if there had never been any doubt.
Drew smiled, looking down at Rustyn with nothing but love in his eyes. “You’re right, Rusty. I love Mommy very much.”
Rustyn nodded solemnly, as if he had solved a great mystery. “I knew it,” he said with a proud grin.
You couldn’t help but laugh softly, your heart swelling with love for both Drew and Rustyn. You reached out, wrapping your arms around both of them, pulling them into a warm hug. “I love you both so much,” you whispered, pressing a kiss to Rustyn’s cheek before turning to Drew and kissing him softly on the lips.
Drew smiled against your lips, his hand resting on the small of your back as he held you close. “We love you too,” he murmured, his voice full of warmth and tenderness.
As the three of you sat there, wrapped up in each other’s love, the world outside seemed to fade away. It was just the three of you—your perfect little family, full of love, laughter, and moments like these that made everything else seem small in comparison.
Rustyn, ever the observant toddler, let out a small yawn, his little body relaxing as the excitement of the day began to catch up with him. He nestled deeper into Drew’s arms, his eyes fluttering closed as he snuggled into the warmth of his dad’s chest.
As you watched Drew tuck your son into bed, your heart swelled with love once more. It was moments like these—simple, sweet moments—that made you realize just how lucky you were to have this little family.
As Drew gently closed Rustyn’s bedroom door, he turned to you with a soft smile, his hand reaching for yours. “You know I was just teasing with the ring, right?” he asked quietly, pulling you into his arms as he led you back toward the living room. His voice was low and full of sincerity now, the earlier playfulness gone, replaced by a quiet tenderness.
You smiled up at him, resting your hand against his chest as you felt the steady rhythm of his heartbeat under your palm. “I know,” you replied softly, your eyes meeting his. “But Rustyn was right. It does mean a lot to me, even if it’s just a ring.”
Drew’s expression softened even further, and he lifted your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it. “I know, baby. I’ll never take it off again, I promise,” he said, his tone serious but still filled with that warmth you loved so much. “At least not without a really good reason.”
You laughed softly, leaning into him as his arms wrapped around you, pulling you close. “You better not,” you teased, your voice playful but laced with affection.
Drew smiled down at you, his forehead resting against yours as he held you in the quiet comfort of the moment. “I know I joke around sometimes,” he began, his voice barely above a whisper. “But I don’t ever want you to doubt how much I love you. This ring—it’s a promise, not just for show.”
Your heart swelled at his words, and you nodded, your hand still resting against his chest as you leaned into him. “I never doubt it,” you whispered back. “Not for a second.”
The two of you stood there for a few more moments, wrapped up in each other’s warmth. The house was quiet now, save for the soft sound of Rustyn’s rhythmic breathing coming from his bedroom, and the golden light of the setting sun cast a warm glow through the windows, making everything feel peaceful and serene.
Drew’s arms tightened around you slightly, and he let out a contented sigh, his lips brushing against your temple as he held you. “Rustyn’s growing up so fast,” he murmured, his voice filled with a mixture of pride and awe. “I still can’t believe how smart he is—how much he picks up on.”
You smiled softly, pulling back just enough to look up at him. “I know,” you agreed, your voice filled with love for your little boy. “He’s always surprising me with how much he understands. I wasn’t expecting him to notice your ring like that.”
Drew chuckled, shaking his head slightly. “Neither was I. I thought I’d get away with the prank at least until bedtime.” His smile softened, and he glanced down at his hand, where the ring now sat securely. “But you know what? I’m glad he noticed.”
You tilted your head, curious. “Why’s that?”
Drew’s eyes met yours again, his gaze full of love and affection. “Because it reminded me how much this little ring means. Not just to you, but to him too. He understands that it’s important—he gets that it’s a symbol of how much we love each other. And that… well, that makes me even prouder to wear it.”
Your heart melted at his words, and you reached up to cup his face, your thumb gently brushing along his jawline. “You’re a good man, Drew Starkey,” you whispered, your voice thick with emotion.
Drew smiled, his eyes soft and full of love. “And you’re the love of my life,” he replied, his voice just as tender.
He leaned down then, capturing your lips in a slow, sweet kiss that made your heart flutter in your chest. His hands rested gently on your waist as he pulled you even closer, and you could feel the steady beat of his heart against yours, a perfect rhythm that matched the quiet contentment of the moment.
When you finally pulled away, Drew rested his forehead against yours once more, his breath warm against your skin. “Thank you,” he whispered, his voice so quiet it was almost lost in the stillness of the room.
“For what?” you asked softly, your fingers gently threading through his hair.
“For this. For our life. For Rustyn. For everything.” He pulled back just enough to look into your eyes, his expression filled with so much love that it made your heart ache. “I wouldn’t trade a single moment for anything.”
You smiled, feeling the same rush of love and gratitude that you felt every time you looked at him. “Neither would I,” you whispered back.
The two of you stood there everything felt perfect—your little family, your life together, the quiet joy that filled your days. It wasn’t always grand gestures or big moments that made life special. Sometimes, it was the small, simple things—like the way Drew looked at you when he wore his ring, or the way Rustyn’s innocent questions could change the course of a day—that reminded you just how lucky you were.

Some nights, it was easier not to sleep. It was easier to go down into the kitchen, the living room, or one of the many libraries in the mansion and stay awake. It was easier than forcing yourself to go to bed, just to wake up screaming thirty minutes later.
So tonight, like far too many nights, you’ve found yourself in your favorite corner in your favorite library in the mansion. You’re reading Simone de Beauvoir’s letters to Sartre when a familiar figure enters the room.
“What’re you doing awake?” Logan’s voice is gruff, his hands in the pockets of his jeans, his beater tight against his chest. “You should be asleep.”
“Can’t sleep,” You answer, placing a bookmark between the pages and shutting the book. You look up at the old grandfather clock on the other side of the room. 2:00 AM. “You should be sleeping too.” You smirk patting the free space next to you on the loveseat.
He shakes his head. “Too stuffy in here.”
You roll your eyes, placing the book down on the couch. “Then what’s your plan, big guy?”
He holds up his beer and points down the hall. “Gonna sit in front of the T.V. You can too,” he pauses tentatively, “if you want.”
“S-sure,” you stutter. Why are you stuttering? You spend time with Logan constantly. This isn’t new. This is normal. You feel your heart rate pick up. This is ridiculous. This is a totally regular night.
You stand and follow him down the hall and into another room, one with a lit fireplace and a television. You both sit down, leaving a generous amount of room between the two of you. Logan reaches for the remote and turns the T.V. on. He surfs through the channels before stopping on a movie you instantly recognize.
“Casablanca?” You ask, turning towards him, letting yourself move just a bit closer as you do so. You feel like he’s moved closer in too.
He nods, his eyes glued to the screen. “It’s a classic.”
You can’t help but smirk. “Never pinned you for the love story type.”
“You’d be surprised,” he says back as he turns towards you again. There’s a faint smile on his face. You swear his eyes flicker down to your lips for just a second before he turns to face the T.V. again.
A few minutes go by like this, the two of you just inches away from one another. You can’t concentrate on the movie with him this close. It’s impossible.
Despite the heat of the fire, you start to feel a chill. Goose bumps rise on your arms, and you pull your legs into your chest, your arms wrapping around your knees.
Logan immediately notices, shifting to grab the throw blanket from behind him. “Cold?” He asks, taking the opportunity to move closer towards you as he tosses the blanket over the two of you.
“Y-yeah, thanks,” you answer. But you’re still cold. You bring the blanket up so that it rests just under your chin. For such an old mansion, the A/C must work great. No wonder the fire was already lit when you and Logan got in here.
Logan notices again. He rests his arm against the back of the couch. “You could…” He trails off, nodding his head to offer the space right next to him, in his arms. “Come over here?” You nod back, scooching closer until your side presses into his.
He’s an absolute furnace. He pulls you into his chest, rubbing up and down your arm gently. He’s so warm. You instinctively curl into him, wanting nothing more than to be closer to him. For the first time in months, you feel comfortable enough—safe enough—to fall asleep.
“Better?” He asks, his lips brushing against your forehead.
You nod against his chest. “So much better.” You whisper. You can feel your eyelids growing heavy. You let them fall shut. Let yourself go. Give in. Finally.
“Lo?” You quietly call out. You’re so close to sleep that you don’t even realize you’re speaking.
You can feel his smile on the side of your head. “Yeah, sweetheart?”
“You feel so nice.” You’re mumbling, half asleep. It’s nonsense, but it’s true. “So safe.”
He presses a chaste kiss to your forehead. “You do too. Now get some sleep.”
You shake your head softly. “Only if you sleep, too.”
You think you feel another kiss. One of his hands reaches up to play with the hair at the nape of your neck. “I will, I promise.”
You drift off to sleep, waking up just once about an hour and a half later to see Logan still on the couch beside you. He’s asleep, still holding you to his chest. You don’t wake him. You let yourself fall asleep again.
You wake up a few hours later, this time in your own bed, the sun shining through your curtains. You notice a note next to your pillow.
Glad you got some sleep. -Logan
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can hear him, his grunts, his screams. You jump out of bed and sprint down the hall. You don’t need a flashlight to find his room. You know the way by heart. You don’t even bother knocking. You burst in and shut the door behind you.
You run over to the side of his bed and start to softly shake him. “It’s just a dream, Lo,” you call out to him. He doesn’t wake up. He’s still grunting, still tossing and turning. You feel helpless. “Logan, it’s okay.” You speak a bit louder this time, putting more of your weight on his shoulders as you shake him. Nothing. No change.
“Logan, please wake up.” Louder again. And still nothing. “Fuck it.”
You climb onto the bed, maneuvering so that you can get on top of him. You’re straddling him now, which probably isn’t the world’s greatest idea. You shake his shoulders harder as he winces, his head thrashing against the mattress, his chest rapidly rising and falling.
“Come on, Lo, wake up.”
And then, he’s sitting up, claws out, the tips just nudging the base of your throat. “It’s me!” You shout. “It’s just me!” You can hear the shing of his claws retracting. You look down to see that the collar of your shirt is sliced.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry. Are you alright?” He’s wrapping his arms around your back, pulling you into his chest, scanning your body frantically for any injury. He’s moving up and down your skin like a wildfire, checking every possible surface that he could have pierced or sliced.
You try to stop him, but he refuses to listen. “You didn’t get me, Logan. I’m okay, really.”
He pushes you down onto the mattress, carefully turning you over onto your stomach before you can protest. “I’m just checking your back, okay?”
“You couldn’t have touched my back. That’s physically impossible.” You try to turn back over, but he keeps you down, one hand pinned between your shoulder blades as the other pulls up your shirt to search your skin. You suddenly remember you aren’t wearing a bra. You’re not wearing any shorts, either. Just your oversized pajama shirt and panties.
His fingers gently trace your skin before reaching up to pull the shirt back down. He finally lets you turn over. You push yourself up so that you’re sitting on your knees, just a few inches away from Logan. It’s your turn to reach out to him now. You bring up a tentative hand to his shoulder; he trembles under your touch but doesn’t push you away. You move a bit closer, your knee slotting into the space between his thighs. Your hand slides up his shoulder to his neck, and he finally leans into your palm.
“I’m so fucking sorry,” he whispers again. He moves closer, shifting his thighs further into your own. “I never, ever want to hurt you.” He brings his arms back around you, hesitantly pulling you into his chest. You let him, let him hold you. You know he needs to—needs to feel someone else. You wrap your arms around his body too.
“I know, Lo. It’s okay. No more apologizing.” You hold him tighter. “Are you okay?”
He hums as his face burrows into the crook of your neck. “Just a nightmare.” A part of you is surprised he’s letting you hold him and holding you back. “I fucked up your shirt.”
You let your head rest against his shoulder. “I know.”
“Almost fucking killed you.” He’s trembling again like he wants to push you away.
You hold him tighter. “You didn’t though,” You mumble against his bare skin. “Please don’t run away. Let me hold you, please.”
He relaxes again, pulling you in tighter in response. “Why do you care about me?”
You shake your head in disbelief. “Why do you care about me?” You ask back.
He scoffs. “Because I…” He trails off. You can tell he’s not giving you the whole truth. “I just do. You’re you. That’s all there is to it.”
“Exactly. And you’re you.” You can feel his lips ghost against your neck—not quite a kiss, but not quite nothing either. “So, I care about you too.”
“I don’t deserve it, the way you care about me.” His lips don’t move from that half-kiss position along your neck as he speaks. “I don’t deserve you.”
“Don’t talk like that.” Your voice is suddenly stern, assertive. “You deserve so much, Logan. So much.” Before you can even think about what you’re doing, you press a kiss against his bare shoulder. And then another. And another.
“You should go back to bed.” His voice is low and hoarse. He finally presses a true kiss into your neck, too.
You shake your head. “No,” you whisper. “Let me stay with you.”
“But what if I—”
You cut him off. “Please.”
He doesn’t protest this time. He just guides you down to the pillows, keeping one arm tightly around your waist as the other brings the covers up and over the two of you.
You stay intertwined, your legs tangled up with his, your chests pressed tightly together. You bring your hands up to the nape of his neck, gently raking your nails through his hair. His lips find your neck again, kissing that spot just underneath your ear. It’s chaste, but there’s something else there. You know there is.
You can feel him relaxing, drifting off into sleep, and so you let yourself do the same. There’s nowhere you feel safer than with Logan.
When you wake up, you’re still in Logan’s bed, but his side is empty. Again, there’s a note on the pillow next to you.
Thank you. Hope this makes up for what I did. -Logan.
Underneath the note is his favorite Rolling Stones shirt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re somewhere dark, sitting on a cold metal chair, your hands shackled in more cold metal. The air tastes like metal, too. And then it dawns on you: Magneto.
His figure appears in front of you, his hand extended out towards something...perhaps someone. Towards no one? No. There he is, floating in front of you. Logan. “NO!” You yell. You can feel your throat burn as you shout.
“Let him go!” You scream. But Magneto doesn’t budge. He holds Logan in the air, bending the metal in his body. He stretches Logan’s claws out. You remember when Logan told you it hurts every time he unleashes them. You can’t imagine the pain he’s in now.
“Logan!” You cry out. Your abilities don’t seem to work, no matter how hard you try. You’re powerless, helpless, useless. You echo his name repeatedly to no avail.
You’re forced to sit and watch as his claws bend backward. Tears run down your face as Logan screams in agony. There’s nothing you can do. You thrash in place.
“Let him fucking go!” You sob, tears rolling down your cheeks. “Logan! I’m so sorry. Oh fuck. I’m so sorry.” A familiar name calls for you in the distance, but you ignore it. “I’m so sorry,” you cry. “So fucking sorry.”
The voice shouts your name again. And again. Tears stain your cheeks.
“I’m so sorry,” you mumble.
“It’s just a dream, come on, wake up for me sweetheart.” You know that voice. “I’m right here, just wake up.”
Your eyes finally flutter open. There he is, in front of you, his solid frame heavy on top of you. “Lo?” You push yourself up to meet him.
“It’s me, darlin’, It’s me.”
You throw your arms around him, sobbing into his bare chest. “Fuck,” you mumble against him.
He wraps his arms tightly around your body, carefully bringing you back down to the bed. “It’s okay. It’s over now. I’m here.”
“How’d you know I was…” You trail off, swallowing harshly, not wanting to think about what you just dreamed of.
“You called my name. I came the second I heard you.” His voice is soft but shaky. It dawns on you that you scared him.
“I’m so sorry. I’m so fucking sorry.” Tears stream down your cheeks, your voice a trembling mess.
He presses a soft kiss against your shoulder, and then that usual spot in the crook of your neck. He somehow manages to pull you tighter into his chest. “Don’t be sorry darlin’, please. Nothing to be sorry for.”
“But I woke you,” you protest. “I scared you.”
“That’s fine, sweetheart.” His breath tickles the skin of your neck. “I’m just glad you’re okay.” He’s kissing you more fervently than normal. There’s something panicked about his movements, like he’s still worried that you might not be fine.
You take a deep breath. “Lo?”
“Yeah, sweetheart?”
“Can you stay with me?” You feel like a child, but you don’t care. You want to feel him. You need to be close to him. You can’t lose him. Not now. Not ever.
His legs tangle with yours. “I’m not going anywhere.” His voice is a whisper now.
You nod, pushing yourself further into him. “Need to feel you,” you say, running your hands along his back, his chest, his waist. You need him, every inch, every curve. All of him.
“Darlin’,” he mutters. “What do you mean?”
You break away from him for just a second. His brows are furrowed. “Need you, Lo.”
You watch his throat bob as he swallows. “You have me.”
“No Logan I-I—” You stutter. “I want you. Need you. I need you closer. Please.”
His eyes search yours, his hands finding their way under your shirt. His fingers climb higher, stopping just below your chest, where the hem of your bra would be.
You inhale deeply and press harder into him. “Please, Lo. Please.”
“Sweetheart, is this really what you want?” You can feel his breath against your lips. He’s so close, but not close enough. “That dream…” He pauses. “If this is only because of the dream…”
You shut your eyes, remembering what you saw. You feel a tear slide down your still-wet cheek. You breathe deeply. “Wanted you before the dream,” you murmur nervously.
“Darlin’, you gotta be careful saying things like that.” He presses his forehead against yours and closes his eyes. Your noses touch gently. He slots his legs higher between yours and pulls you closer.
“Why?” You ask.
“Because I’ve never wanted someone the way I want you.” His hands become less hesitant, his fingers tracing the underside of your chest, slowly charting a course to your nipples.
He opens his eyes, searching your face for consent, and you immediately nod. “I’m yours. Been yours the whole time.”
That’s all the permission he needs to bring his lips to yours, to hungrily swallow everything you’re willing to give him. His fingers gently pinch your nipples before drawing lazy circles around them. Your breath catches in your throat as his tongue slips across your lower lip. You open up and let him inside, savoring the taste of him.
You’re still side by side, tangled up with one another, but it’s not close enough. You need more.
“Logan,” you call, leaving one hand on his bare back as you let the other trail down his chest, to the hem of his sweats. But before you can get any further, he grabs your hand, freezing you in place.
He shakes his head against yours. “Wanna take care of you.”
“But I wanna take care of you, too,” you whine.
He just smiles. “You always do, sweetheart. Let me make you feel good.” He drops your hand, and one of his own trails down your body, down to the ridden-up hem of your shirt—his shirt, actually—the one he left on the pillow. “Looks better on you than it ever did on me.” He pulls it up, revealing your stomach and tits. One of his hands continues to massage your breasts, playing with your nipples, while the other travels back down to the hem of your panties. His fingers slip inside, sliding down through your folds and back up to your clit. You shudder under his touch.
He starts to draw slow, lazy circles there. You can’t help but grind into his hand, needy for more. You whisper his name as his touch becomes harder, faster.
“So fucking wet for me. Soaking already.” The whimper rising in your throat at his words is swallowed by another deep, desperate kiss.
You hang onto him, your arms around his back as he pulls you closer to the edge. He can tell you need the contact, the closeness, and so he pulls away from your tits, his now-free hand slipping underneath you and snaking around your waist, holding you closer than before. Your chest is flush with his as his fingers rub harder at your clit.
You can feel yourself coming undone, your hips rocking against him uncontrollably. “I’m so close,” you pant.
“I know pretty girl,” he murmurs. He breaks away from your face, finding that spot in the crook of your neck that he loves so much. You throw your head back as his lips find purchase in the same area as always. “Doing so good for me. Wanna feel you come on my fingers.”
His whispers in your ear, his little bites and kisses against that spot on your neck, his fingers on your clit, it’s all too much. “Lo,” you whine, shutting your eyes and pressing your face into his shoulder.
“That’s it, darlin’, let go.”
That’s all it takes to have you seeing stars. You grind down onto his fingers, your hips still canting back and forth as you come undone. You can feel Logan smile against your neck as he slows down his pace. After a moment or two, his hand slips out of your panties and comes up to rest on your hip.
You bring your forehead back to his. “You alright, sweetheart?” His low, husky whisper fills the air.
“Mhm,” you hum. “Still want you, Lo.”
“Are you sure?” He asks, his thumb brushing gently across your hip.
You nod. “Need you closer.”
“Fuck,” he groans. His thumb hooks under the hem of your panties and he pulls them down your legs. You slip them off the rest of the way as Logan turns you on your back. You watch him above you, thumbs hooked inside his sweats. He pulls them down quickly, his cock springing up to his stomach in the process. Your eyes widen as you take in just how big he is.
He pushes his sweats down the rest of the way, and he slots himself in between your legs. You can feel the length of him on the inside of your thigh. “Wanted you for so long, pretty girl,” he grunts. His forearm rests next to your head, caging you in and keeping him steady, while his other hand guides his cock through your folds, teasing your entrance.
“Logan,” you whine, your hands reaching up to his neck, pulling his face down to meet you. “I’m yours.”
You gasp as he fills you up, his hand immediately reaching between your bodies to find your still-sensitive clit. His pace is slow at first, letting you adjust to his length, rocking into you gently. His thumb flicks your clit before drawing those same lazy circles from before. You’re already close, still drunk off the first orgasm he pulled from you.
“So fucking tight,” he moans. “Doing so good for me.” You can feel him building speed, pumping in and out of you. He feels so good, rubbing against your walls, stretching you out. He’s so close, so real, so safe.
“Needed you so bad,” you whimper, spreading your legs wider, inviting him in.
You can feel him throb inside you at your words. “Needed you too.” The sound of his voice pushes you closer to the edge, your walls fluttering around his cock. His circles on your clit are no longer gentle or slow. He thrusts faster, rutting into you hit after hit.
“L-Lo,” you stutter, shaking underneath him. “I-I’m so clo…” But you can’t finish your sentence. Your eyes flutter open and shut.
“I’m here,” he whispers. “I’ve got you. Never gonna let you go.”
You take in a sharp breath. “’M’yours,” is all you can manage to say.
“Mine,” he breathes, his hips rocking into you again and again. “Can feel you squeezing me, beautiful.”
“S-so close,” you choke in between thrusts. His fingers work harder on your clit, his lips moving against yours like they belong there, always.
“Then let go, darlin’,” he says against your lips. He pushes deeper into you than before, your walls clamping down onto him. You feel heat rise to your chest as you shatter around him. You echo his name over and over again as you ride out your orgasm. You know he’s close behind, his thrusts faltering, growing sloppier with each pump.
“W-where do you want—”
“Inside.”
“F-fuck,” he’s a choking, moaning mess as he comes undone inside you. You can feel him paint your walls, filling you up. He pumps in and out of you a few more times before he starts to slip out.
“W-wait,” you stutter, grabbing him, holding him in place.
He freezes. “You okay?” Concern is painted across his face, his brows furrowed, trying to discern what’s wrong.
“J-just don’t want you to go,” you murmur.
He smiles as he slides out of you. He pulls you tightly into his chest. “I’m not going anywhere.”
You shut your eyes as his hands settle on your lower back. “Don’t leave, okay?”
“I promise,” he says, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Relax. I’ve got you. I’m here.”
You can’t fight your exhaustion anymore, so you do as he says. You fall asleep to the sound of his steady breathing, to his kisses on your forehead, to the tracing of letters and shapes along your back.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, as pale light trickles through the curtains of your room, you see there’s no letter. No empty space next to you in the bed.
There’s just Logan, his arms still wrapped around you, holding you tight against his chest. Your eyes flutter open. His are still closed. But he can tell you’re awake.
“’M’not going anywhere,” he mumbles, still half asleep. “Too early. Go back to bed.”
He’s right. So, you do.

update: part 3 here
------------------
3:30pm, which means that it’s about time for the children to get picked up from preschool. Until they’re picked up by their parents, they run out any additional energy they have on the playground.
All except one.
Instead of playing with the other kids, Megumi Fushiguro sits next to you at one of the tables of the playground with his dog plushie occupying the space beside him. He’s quiet, but relaxed and happy as he fills a page in the coloring book you bought for him and only for him. You notice him digging for a green crayon, and you hand one to him. His eyes light up as he accepts it from you. “Thank you,” he says softly.
You smile at him. “Of course.” Your heart melts when the four year-old returns your smile, then goes back to coloring. Though you enjoyed all of your students, there was no doubt that Megumi was your favorite. According to some of the other teachers, Megumi barely spoke to anyone and always distanced himself. However, he loves being in your presence. He always lets you hold his hand when walking anywhere, or fix his hair,—you still wonder how it’s so spiky—and he talks to you the most. You enjoy his stories about his family, and his love for dogs.
“What are you drawing?” You ask when you notice that he’s drawing on a blank page instead of filling in the lines of the coloring book.
Megumi covers it and pouts slightly. “It’s a surprise. You can’t look until I’m done.”
“Okay. No problem.”
“Hi, Gumi! Hi, Ms. [Y/L/N}!” The familiar, happy voice fills your ears, and excitement swirls in your stomach. Tsumiki Fushiguro skips over to the table, putting her backpack down and gently hugging her little brother, careful not to disturb his coloring. Then, she wraps you in a hug, one that you happily receive. “Hello, sweetheart! How was school and soccer practice?”
“It was fun! We’re going to have a game soon!”
Your eyes scan the playground. If Tsumiki was here, then that meant that—
“Looking for me?” The low, smooth voice sends a small shiver down your spine.
There he is.
You turn around and look up at a smirking Toji Fushiguro, who is without a doubt the most handsome man you’ve ever seen in your life. Tall, muscular, dark hair with a scar on his lip, charming, and so gentle with his two kids. Behind him was his friend, Shiu Kong, who you had seen a couple of times. He would pick up Megumi if Toji was held up at work.
“Yeah,” you answer as you release Tsumiki and stand up, mirroring his smile. “I was. How was work?”
Though you enjoyed the activities of your job, this was your favorite part of the day. Nearly every afternoon for the last month and a half, you would spend some quiet time with Megumi during pick-up time, greet Tsumiki when Toji came, then spend at least twenty minutes talking with him while the kids played. A few of your coworkers picked up on how often you were smiling with him, and lightly teased you for having a crush. At first, you denied it, but when you caught yourself daydreaming about him for the umpteenth time while at work, doing chores at home, or before bed, you finally accepted it.
“Work was fine,” he answers, then gestures to Megumi. “How’d he do today?”
“He’s perfect, as always.”
“Done!” Megumi springs up, then stands in-between you and Toji, raising his arms above his head to show you two the picture he was drawing.
Toji smiles down at his son. “Aw, that’s sweet, Megs. What is it?”
You look down to see four happy, smiling figures on the paper, and even though you can tell what they are, you still let Megumi explain them. “This one’s me,” he says as he points to the smaller figure with dark hair and t-shirt with a dog on it. Next is the taller girl beside him. “This is Tsumiki!” He tilts the paper towards his sister, who ‘awws’ in response. Then he smiles up at you as he points to the woman. “This is you, and then right here is Papa.” In the drawing, you’re wearing a brightly colored dress and standing next to Toji.
Toji peers down at what Megumi drew, and asks, “Hey, how come my cheeks are pink?”
Megumi raises a brow, looking up at him in confusion. “Your cheeks are always pink when you’re around Ms. [Y/L/N],” he says matter-of-factly.
Toji’s eyes widen, and Shiu turns around, doing his best to stifle his laugh. “That’s not— No, they’re not-” As Toji fumbles around his words, you catch it—the faint dust of pink on his cheeks, almost missed due to the sunlight on his face.
You don’t point out the small detail that you’re also blushing in Megumi’s drawing.
Toji’s phone buzzes, and he fishes it out to silence the notification. “Crap. We gotta get going. Megumi has a doctor’s appointment.”
At that, Megumi whines and clutches your hand. “I don’t wanna go, papa.”
Your heart squeezes at the utter fear in his eyes, and Toji kneels in front of him. “Megs, I promise, there’s no shots this time. It’s just a little check-up to make sure that you’re healthy.”
You also kneel down, and the small boy wraps his arms around you. “Don’t wanna go,” he repeats, and he sounds like he’s on the verge of tears, “it was scary last time.”
“Aw, it’s okay, Gumi.” You rub a comforting hand up and down his back, then through his hair. “Your dad wouldn’t lie to you, and he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you. I understand how you’re feeling, though. Doctors can be pretty scary. How about this? Be brave during your check-up, and I’ll have a nice gift for you tomorrow.”
Megumi looks up at you, and excitement replaces the fear that was in his eyes before. “A gift? What is it?”
“You’ll have to see. It’s a surprise,” you say, and you watch as he takes a big breath to calm himself. “Okay.” He hugs you once more, and you see a relieved Toji mouth the words, ‘Thank you’ to you.
As you help Megumi gather his things, you see Toji whispering to Tsumiki, who looks like she can barely contain her excitement. Once she’s ready, she bounces over to you. “Ms. [Y/L/N]?”
“Yes, sweetheart?”
“Papa wants to ask for your phone number,” then she lowers her voice to a not-so-quiet-whisper. “But he’s too shy. Also, can you come to my soccer game pretty, pretty pleaseeeee?!”
Toji lets out a loud, mortified gasp. “Tsumiki, you were supposed to mention the soccer game and then the phone number— oh, my god.” He buries his face in his hand, and this time, Shiu Kong can’t hold back his laugh.
You also laugh, then pat the top of her head. “I’ll come to your game, Tsumiki. I can’t wait to see you play!”
“Yay!” She cheers, completely ignoring the fact that her father’s about to die of embarrassment.
You approach Toji, who bashfully rubs the back of his head. “That completely backfired. I’m so sorry. If you don’t want to, I completely understand-”
“No, I would love to. Yes to Tsumiki’s game, and yes to giving you my phone number.”
He hands you his phone, watching you as you put in your number and texting yourself so you had his. You hand it back, then he effortlessly scoops up Megumi. “I’ll text you the details later.”
“Perfect. See you soon.”
Toji’s eyes soften, and he uses his free hand to push a strand of your hair out of your face. Your heart pounds fast in your chest, and your cheeks heat. “See you soon, doll,” he says.
You nearly stop breathing at the new nickname. As you wave them all goodbye, you let out a slow, blissful sigh. You got his number. Soon, you’ll be going to Tsumiki’s game, then maybe on a date with him, then—
You snap yourself out of it. Don’t think too far ahead. Focus on now. You can freak out about everything else later.
Right now, you have to get a present for Megumi when he’s done with his doctor’s appointment.

Has Sweet Pea's mom called Bucky? 🥺
Not yet, nonnie.
Heart and Home
Pairing: Mob!Bucky Barnes x Single Mom!Reader
Summary: You reflect on the love you have for your daughter and your loneliness.
Word Count: Over 1.2k
Warnings: Fluff, light angst, loneliness, single parenting, daughter nicknamed Sweet Pea, thinking about Bucky Barnes (he's a warning, okay?)
A/N: Follow up to Moving in Slow Motion. ❤️ Not beta read and written on my phone, so any and all mistakes are my own. Please follow @navybrat817-sideblog for new fics and notifications. Comments, reblogs, feedback are loved and appreciated!
Bucky hadn’t left your mind since the museum. How could you not think about him? The man looked like he’d been ripped right out of one of those romance novels you liked to curl up with once your daughter fell asleep. Tall and built, movie star handsome, a smile that made your heart stop. Not only that, he made your little girl smile. That meant the world because she was your world.
But that didn’t mean anything was going to happen and it was way too soon to think it would.
“Dinner’s almost ready!” You called out.
“Okay, Mama!”
You glanced at your phone as you grabbed a couple of plates, wondering when and if you should call Bucky. You couldn’t remember the last time someone offered their phone number once knowing you had a kid. It was a dealbreaker for some. Not to mention, you had been out of the dating game for some time and you weren’t even sure what was an acceptable period of time to call or not call.
“He isn’t thinking about me,” you muttered, loading up the plates once everything was ready. A man like Bucky probably had a line out the door of people who wanted to date him. Beyond his looks, there was something mysterious about him. Maybe even dangerous. You couldn’t put your finger on why you felt that way. It likely had something to do with those books you couldn’t stop yourself from reading and it was bleeding into reality.
“Dinner is served!” You smiled as you set the food on the small dining room table. Your daughter was still in the living room, occupied with coloring at the coffee table. Your apartment wasn’t large by any stretch of the imagination, but things like trinkets, snuggly throw pillows, and photos of you and your daughter helped make the place a cozy home. “I made dino nuggies.”
Her eyes widened as she looked up from her sheet. “Dino nuggies!” Both of you laughed when she held her hands up and roared. She loved nuggets and dinosaurs. “One more minute, please?”
You pretended to think about it. “Okay, one more minute,” you said, taking a seat to watch her. She grabbed another crayon and pursed her lips as she colored. It was an adorable expression of concentration. She must’ve picked it up from you since she didn’t get it from her father.
You shut your eyes for a moment when her dad’s face shimmered in your mind. The two of you weren't together anymore and he wasn't part of your daughter's life either. He likely never would be since he wanted nothing to do with kids. It hurt some days. Not because you missed him, the man was never meant to be your forever partner. But how could anyone look at your daughter and not love her?
At the end of the day, the two of you were better off alone instead of forcing him to stick around. And you did your best to give her the love of two parents. But what would happen as she got older and wondered why her dad wasn’t there? You would never regret having her, but what if you weren’t enough for her? What then?
“What are you working on?” You asked, pulling yourself from those sad thoughts and concentrating on the present.
“The museum!” She answered, scrutinizing the paper. She took her coloring very seriously. “Finished!”
“Let’s take a look,” you said, holding out your hand when she brought it over. It was the room at the museum where she built the roller coaster, full of wonder and energy. The bright colors jumped off the page, like the shade yellow reflecting her natural happiness. Maybe you were a little biased, but you thought her drawings were perfect. “Wow! Beautiful, just like you.”
She giggled at the compliment. “You’re beautiful, Mama. A queen!”
“I guess that makes you a princess then,” you smiled, booping her nose and getting another giggle out of her. “You did a wonderful job drawing the roller coaster.”
She held her head high. She was so proud. “I did. And look! That’s you and me,” she said, pointing at two of the stick figures in front of it. “And that’s Mr. Bucky!”
Your smile faltered as you looked at the third stick figure, the colors matching the outfit he wore along with a pair of blue eyes. Your finger traced it before you could stop yourself. She was adding him to drawings after only meeting him once? It shouldn't surprise you since she kept talking about him as you took her around the museum. “It’s a very nice drawing, Sweet Pea.”
“Thanks, Mama.” She smiled, taking a seat and pulling her plate closer. “Can we send it to Mr. Bucky? Please?”
“The nuggets may still be a little warm, so blow on them, please,” you warned, looking at the drawing again. The innocent look in her eyes made it hard to say no. “I don’t think we can send it to him. I’m sorry.”
She made an exaggerated show of blowing on the first before she took a bite, but the happiness from the meal faded quickly at your response. “How come?” She asked sadly, her bottom lip sticking out in a pout she easily learned to perfect. “H-He liked my art.”
You reached over to rub her back when she hung her head, your comforting instinct coming out. “Oh, I know Mr. Bucky liked your art. He really did. I just don’t know where he lives, which is why I can’t send it,” you replied gently, which was true. It didn’t take the sad look off her face. “But if we see him again, we’ll be sure to ask if he’d like a drawing from you. I’m sure he’d love it.”
You tried to emphasize the word “if” since you didn’t want to get her hopes up or have her get attached. You wouldn't get your hopes up either. Being cautiously optimistic was the way to go.
After a moment, she lifted her head and took another bite of her food. “Okay, Mama.”
You quietly dug in, knowing this wasn't the end of it. She had such a loving heart, so pure, and you wondered if she sensed your loneliness some days or if it rubbed off on her. You did your best not to let it show. She was a child who didn't need to carry any burden of your feelings.
“How about after dinner you pick out a book for us to read together?” You suggested, giving her a tiny smile as she contemplated it. She still enjoyed having bedtime stories and you’d indulge that as long as she let you.
“Any book I want?” She smiled.
“Any book you want,” you promised.
As the two of you continued to eat, you glanced at the empty chair across from you with a heavy heart. Maybe one day it wouldn't be empty. Maybe a caring person would occupy the seat. Someone who would bring more love to your home. Until then, you would give Sweet Pea all the love she deserved.
And maybe you’d give Bucky a call once you were in bed.
Oh, Bucky is eagerly awaiting that phone call. And I just want to wrap them up in a hug. Love and thanks for reading! ❤️

oh shit.
pro hero!bakugo who has a crush on you.
pro hero!bakugo katsuki x idol!reader.
genre: fluff
__
- the first time bakugo agreed to do an interview was because todoroki and izuku were also there. the top three heroes were asked all sorts of questions before the journalist finally asked thee question. "so~ you guys are so private, we don’t really know much about you. so let’s get to know our top three heroes! first question, who is your celebrity crush?" she asked, a smirk on her lips as she looked at the three heroes in front of her. izuku blushed, fumbling with his answer, todoroki crossed his arms on his chest, saying that he had no time for that kind of stuff, and bakugo scoffed, crossing his legs on the small table in front of them. "celebrity crush? do you have other shitty questions or are we done?" he glared at the interviewer who nearly melted on the spot. izuku elbowed his friend and offered an awkward smile to the poor woman. "but aren’t you a big fan of y/n? i heard you sing her songs under the shower, one time." shoto chimed in, face blank. "what?! no! what are you saying ice hot?! i’ll fucking crush your face, come here!" bakugo jumped from his seat and had to be restrained by izuku and a few security guards, meanwhile shoto sat there, wondering what he did wrong this time.
- the interview went viral, with everyone making fun of the mighty dynamight and his little crush on you. he nearly sent shoto to the moon after seeing all those edits of you and him on social media or your fans calling him the president of the fandom. your fans are even shipping you together! and he’d be lying if he said that he didn’t like it. he actually made a fake twitter and tiktok account where he’d like and favourite every single edit/tweet about you. he’d be smiling and blushing like a high schooler in the dark of his room.
- he has a locked drawer in his room, where he keeps all your albums and merch. he’d literally set on fire whoever manage to open it and discover his little secret.
- he spent hours in front of his phone, the screen showing your dm page on instagram, he wanted to dm you so bad. make the first move and try to get close to you, but bakugo was a coward, as funny as it sounded, bakugo was very intimidated by you. he ended up throwing his phone away, he’d try again tomorrow.
- one day he got called for an incident involving a woman and someone who tried to break into her house. nothing major so bakugo went alone, imagine his shock when he saw that the victim was you and the man was your stalker who’s been following you and harassing you for months. he immediately saw red and grabbed the man, slammed him to the ground and threatened to shove a bomb down his ass if he moved. "are you okay?" when you saw dynamite arrive from your window, you immediately ran outside, since you felt safe with the hero around. you hugged yourself and nodded, looking down at the shaking man, but bakugo didn’t believe you. soon enough, police arrived to arrest the man and everyone left, leaving you alone with bakugo. "he’ll leave you alone now, i’ll make sure of it." he smiled gently, putting a hand on your shoulder you forced a smile but slowly lost it when you saw him getting ready to leave. you quickly grabbed his hand and looked at him with pleading eyes, the sight made his heart jump. "please, will you stay with me?" how could he say no?
- bakugo couldn’t get rid of the pink color decorating his cheeks. it was the first time he met his celebrity crush and bakugo wished it was different. he wished he came earlier so you wouldn’t even be aware that your stalker was trying to break into your home. you offered him some food and water but he declined everything, you were getting ready for bed when the incident happened so you were exhausted from practice and rehearsal. you also felt bad for keeping him with you when he was clearly busy or tired from patrolling. "i’m so sorry for bothering you, i know he won’t come back, but i’m still terrified." you played with your hand and felt tears burning your eyes. "don’t. you don’t have to be ashamed for feeling scared, but trust me when i say this, this bastard won’t ever come close to you again." he said it in such a low tone, you thought you imagined it. you nodded and hugged him, which surprised him to no end and also made him as red as a tomato. he didn’t know what to do with his hands so he simply put them around your waist, gently patting your back.
- you fell asleep with the light on, bakugo was sitting on the chair next to your bed and kept his eye on you. he stayed with you till the sun woke up. he noticed every detail of your face, the small freckles decorating your beautiful nose, your long and dark lashes, your full and soft lips and overall your beautiful face. you were, without a doubt, the most beautiful woman bakugo had ever seen in his life. while looking at you, he felt a weird sense of possessiveness and protection wash over him. he wanted to protect you and make sure no one would ever hurt you again.
- when you woke up, you saw a small note on your nightstand, "had to leave for work pretty girl, but don’t worry i’ll see you soon. here’s my number: xxx - xxx - xxx" you didn’t know why but you smiled at his note. of course, you immediately registered his number and sent him a lovely text, thanking him again for yesterday and inviting him for dinner some day. you also signed it "your celebrity crush (;" bakugo almost choke on his coffee when he read your text.

obsessed - c.s (greedy pt. 2)
part one
summary: chris finally gets you all to himself
warnings: smut
wc: 5.8k
dividers by @issysh3ll
The following few weeks were nothing short of tense.
You barely even wanted to go by Matt’s place just for the sole reason of wanting to avoid Chris and all of the feelings that came with seeing him, always asking Matt to come to your place instead.
Your sex life with him had gone back to normal. Almost. Aside from the lingering desire for his younger brother that constantly buzzed at the surface of your skin anytime you guys were intimate and you hated to admit it but you caught yourself closing your eyes and imagining it was Chris a couple of times, having to physically shake yourself out of your daydreams.
You hadn’t seen Chris much after everything but the couple of times that you did made you feel like you were actually melting into the floor beneath you. The first time was the worst, making you want to rip your clothes off right then and there and fuck him until you were dizzy.
You had just gotten to their home, not planning on staying long, just waiting for Matt to finish up in the shower so you guys could go out, and it seemed quiet enough, not hearing his brothers creeping around the house, so you felt safe from having to interact with the one person you felt like you couldn’t handle seeing right now.
You were dressed cute, ready to enjoy a day full of date activities with your boyfriend, wearing a short, black skirt with an oversized, off the shoulder sweater, wandering around the house as you waited for Matt, grabbing and putting down random little things you found in the kitchen before you found yourself in front of the fridge, staring at all the ripped out coloring pages stuck on there with magnets, giggling to yourself at the tiny ‘By Matthew’ written in the corner of some of the pictures.
You were way too caught up in your own world to hear the quiet footsteps that approached you, only realizing you weren’t alone when you felt hands suddenly gripping your hips roughly, pulling you back into a firm chest, making you gasp.
You didn’t even have to wonder for a second who it was, the touch far too aggressive for it to be Matt. A shiver ran down your spine as you leaned into the body behind you, feeling hot breath hovering over your ear, fingers kneading into your skin like they were itching for more.
“I can’t stop thinking about you,” Chris growls into your ear, dropping his face to press a kiss onto your neck, slowly trailing his lips down to your exposed shoulder. You let out a small breath at the feeling, your knees instantly turning to jelly. “The way you look, the way you sound.” He pauses, bringing his lips back up your neck. “The way you taste.”
Fuck.
This is exactly what you were trying to avoid.
“I know you’re thinking about me, too. That’s why you haven’t come around, right? ‘Cuz you can’t help yourself from thinking about me.” Chris reaches his hands around your hips, slowly pulling your skirt up so he can run his fingers over the crease in the tops of your thighs, humming softly into your skin. “I’ve gotten off to the memory every single night, wishing I could have you again. Remember the girl I was talking to? I can’t even look her in the fucking eyes now because all I can think about is you on your knees with my fucking cum all over your face.”
You can’t help but let out a whimper at his words, turning around to face him, his arms still wrapped around you. His hands move to your ass now, still resting underneath the skirt so he could feel your skin. “Stop.” You tell him meekly, staring up into his eyes.
He looks down at you, eyes dark as his eyebrows twitch in confusion. “Stop what?” He asks lowly, dipping his head forward to kiss your neck again, moaning into your skin while he pulls your hips against his.
You tilt your head away from him, eyes fluttering shut for a moment. “Stop this,” you breathe out, hands sliding up his chest to rest there, not having it in you to push him away. “It was a one time thing, Chris.”
His fingertips grip harder against your skin, body moving forward to pin you against the fridge. “I can’t stop,” he tells you, pulling back to stare down at you again. “Now that I’ve had a taste of you, you want me to stop? I’m sorry, princess, but that’s not gonna happen.”
Your breathing is shaky as you look into his eyes, knowing he was telling the truth. You both have uncovered a part of you that would only ever be satiated with each other, even if you tried to ignore it, it would always be there, lingering in the shadows. Unless you acted on it. Which you definitely wouldn’t.
Definitely not.
“Chris,” you whisper, your faces inches closer together.
You’re dragged back down to earth by the sound of the bathroom door ripping open and the light switching off, indicating Matt was done with his shower. Your eyes widened and your hands became firm on Chris’s chest, letting him know the moment was over. He just smirked and leaned down to place a kiss on your cheek, hands squeezing your ass one more time before he pulled your skirt back down and backed away.
Matt had gone from the bathroom to his room, giving Chris ample time to scurry out of the kitchen and back downstairs to his room, leaving you completely alone and shaken up when Matt walked into your line of vision, smiling wide at the sight of you. “Hey, baby,” he greeted, walking up and placing a gentle hand on your waist, leaning in to kiss the exact same spot Chris had, the thought of that making your ears burn. “You okay?” He asks sweetly, thumb brushing over your skin under the sweater.
You look up at him and nod, forcing a smile. “Let’s go.” You tell him, and you spent the rest of the day reeling over Chris’s touch.
After that you’d mostly stayed away, unless you could run straight into Matt’s room to hide out there for the night, only seeing Chris a couple of times in passing. The few seconds that your gaze would meet, though, would still make your head spin. You felt like a little kid tasting candy for the first time and scheming to find a way to have it again. A bad little kid.
Today you were perched up in Matt’s bed, coloring in one of their coloring books happily, listening to music that quietly filled his room from his speakers while he sat at his desk, typing away at his phone. It was a comfortable silence between you two, not feeling the need to talk all the time. That’s what was so lovely about Matt is you both were more than happy to just be in each other’s presence, talking or not. There were plenty of times where you two had spent hours together without saying a word, just content with being close.
A quick thirty minutes had passed of you just humming along to music and coloring when Matt stood up, walking over to you to place a gentle kiss on your forehead. “I’m going out,” he tells you, smiling down at where you sat.
You pause your coloring and look up, confusion etched in your face. “Where?” You ask, watching him walk away to grab a jacket. “A meeting,” he answers.
You furrow your eyebrows a bit more. He didn’t say he had a meeting, you think to yourself.
You stand and follow him out of his bedroom, bare feet pattering softly on the kitchen floor. “A meeting? For what?” You ask, looking to see Chris sitting on the couch, practically melting into it. He didn’t look like he was ready for a meeting, so why would Matt be going?
Chris looks confused, too, setting his phone in his lap to watch your interaction silently.
“For my stuff I’m working on,” Matt replies, slipping his shoes on. “I won’t be gone long, couple hours.” He looks between you and Chris when he says this and your heart rate picks up a couple of beats per minute.
“Why didn’t you tell me? I could’ve come over after,” you huff slightly, sad that you’d be cooped up in Matt’s room alone.
“You’ve never had any problem being here by yourself before,” Matt points out. “Just.. keep yourself busy.”
You sigh and step up to Matt, placing a kiss on his lips. “Alright, I guess. Drive safe.”
Matt smiles and nods. “I will.”
Then he pauses. His eyes dart from yours to the pair watching intently behind you, then lock back on yours again. “You two have fun,” he says clearly before turning around and walking out the front door.
You’re staring at the door for what feels like a full minute before you slowly turn on your heels and face Chris who looks just as shocked. “What did he just say?” You ask incredulously, like your ears must’ve deceived you. Except he spoke with such clarity that there’s no way you misunderstood.
Chris swallows thickly, visibly, before he shakes his head gently. “I… I don’t know.” He answers. For the first time in his life, Chris is stunned into silence and motionlessness. It’s odd.
“He didn’t mean…” You trail off, not even wanting to say it in out loud.
Chris clears his throat and adjusts on the couch, clearly uncomfortable. “Ask him.” He says plainly.
“What?” You shoot back.
Chris shrugs his shoulders, staring straight at you. “Or don’t ask and we fuck anyway.”
You’re shocked at his directness, almost choking on your spit at his words. “Chris!”
He laughs and leans even farther back into the couch if that was even possible. “What? You don’t wanna fuck?”
You groan and walk to the couch, sitting on the complete opposite side. “Can you just… be quiet?”
Chris hums and obliges but he keeps his eyes on you and you feel them burning into the side of your face like a laser, making you whip your head around after a few moments to look at him. “Stop looking at me, too.” You grumble. Despite your words, you feel your skin starting to get hot, anticipation creeping up your legs.
Chris smirks over at you. “Do you want me to be quiet or stop looking at you?”
“Both, preferably,” is what you reply. You’re trying to think of what to do here, trying to decipher Matt’s words but it feels impossible. What else could he have meant by that?
It goes against Chris’s nature to be quiet, so you’re not surprised when he opens his mouth again. “We are completely alone in this house for hours and you want to sit there and pretend we’re not itching to get our hands on each other again?”
You groan, dropping your head forward and burying your face in your hands, trying to somehow rub your eyes hard enough to rid your mind of the thoughts you were having.
“He probably just meant a general… have fun,” you say, pulling your hands away from your eyes. You’re shocked when you open them again and see Chris standing in front of you now, leaning down to place his hands on the back of the couch on either side of you, locking you in place.
“Okay…” he starts, leaning his face closer to yours, eyes flitting down to your lips before meeting your gaze again. “So let’s have fun.”
You can’t pull your eyes away from Chris’s, feeling like time has stopped. He’s hovering above you, waiting patiently for you to make the next move. You feel like you’re drunk, unable to think straight with the feeling of his breath faintly on your face. He’s quite literally intoxicating.
“You’re a terrible influence,” you whisper.
Chris lets a devilish smirk bloom on his face before he closes the distance, pressing his lips firmly on yours like he’s starving for a taste of you.
You instantly melt into the kiss, feeling all of the tension building over the last weeks finally dissipating as your hands find their way to his hair, holding the back of his head close.
Keeping his lips on yours, Chris lowers himself on the couch next to you, hands traveling down to land on your waist, applying a bit of pressure to indicate where he wanted you to go. You listened, moving your body to sit atop his thighs.
“I missed you,” Chris breathes against your lips, moving his hands around to grip your ass, fingers digging in harshly to knead at your skin. “Missed your body. Can’t wait to have you all to myself.”
You whine softly, hips dropping fully to rest on top of him, his excitement already prevalent underneath you. “You’re so annoying,” you huff, pulling at the hair on the back of his head, causing his chin to tilt up at you. “You couldn’t just leave me alone? Gotta tease me every time I see you? How the fuck am I supposed to ever have a normal relationship again?”
Chris laughs that stupid fucking sexy laugh, tongue peeking out to drag over his top row of teeth as he peered at you through lust filled eyes. “I can’t just leave you alone,” he replies. “Not when you taste so good.”
He sits up and slides his hands up your back, leaning his face into your neck to press his lips against your skin, eliciting a soft groan from you.
There was no point in backing down now, you guys were clearly longing for each other in a way that couldn’t be satisfied with anybody else, and you’re almost positive you were given the go ahead to do what you needed to do, so you finally decide to let your guard down and submit to your desires, relaxing into the feeling of Chris pressed up against you, overwhelming your senses.
“Just this one time,” you tell him, pulling back to look at him once more. He meets your gaze and nods, agreeing instantly.
“Sure,” he says, voice dripping with sarcasm. “Just this one time. I’ll never try to fuck you again.”
You know he’s lying just from the tone of voice he’s using, but you can’t find it in you to care right now. You roll your eyes at him before slipping off of his lap, ignoring his protests as you kneel on the floor in front of him. It didn’t take long for Chris to understand what you were doing, his eyes filling with hunger as he watches you sink to your knees, peering up at him through your lashes. “You were so good to me last time,” you coo, running your hands over the tops of his thighs. “Wanna return the favor.”
Chris’s throat damn near closes up at the sight of you, feeling like he just got kicked in the chest. All he’s able to do is nod his head as he tucks his fingers in the waistband of his pants, pulling them along with his black briefs down and past his knees where you help him take them off, slipping them past his ankles so his bottom half is completely bare.
He scoots forward on the couch for you and you can’t help but smile, eyes trailing from Chris’s face down to what you were missing so badly. He was already fully hard, dick waiting for your touch and you couldn’t hold back any longer, reaching up to wrap your hand around him, feeling like a weight lifted off of you when you finally got your hands on him again. “Happy to have me all to yourself?” You ask him in a sweet voice, looking back up at him as you hover your face above his dick, pursing your lips to let a long string of saliva drip from your mouth, landing on his tip where you used the palm of your hand to spread it, causing a small hiss to leave his throat.
“You have no idea,” Chris tells you, chest heaving with deep breaths as he tried to ground himself. “Fuck, I need you.”
You smile and lower your head down, lips right above where he needed you the most. “You have me,” you reply before finally wrapping your lips around him, moaning softly at the taste of his precum touching your tongue that swirled through his slit.
Chris hisses through his teeth and drops his head back on the couch, fingers gripping into the couch next to him, clearly trying to hold himself back in some capacity. “Fuck…” he groans, hips rolling unintentionally.
You can sense his restraint and bring your free hand up to grab his dominant hand, placing it on the back of your head where you knew he wanted it, feeling him instantly thread his fingers through your hair, nails scratching along your scalp for a second. He still wasn’t letting himself go, though, and this was the exact opposite reason you wanted Chris so bad in the first place.
You take him down farther, swallowing with his tip in the back of your throat, letting a groan rumble through your throat. He let out a choked moan, damn near a whimper at the feeling, fingers tightening in your hair. He was still holding himself back, though, so you pinched his hip lightly to get his attention, looking up at him through your lashes when he picks his head up and looks down at you, eyes glassy. “What?” He rasps.
Your gaze darkens, almost glaring at him while your lips slide up and off of his dick, rubbing them together quickly. “Why you being so gentle, hm?”
Chris chuckles and rolls his eyes. “Sorry, trying to enjoy it,” he comments. You smile, knowing he really was enjoying it. “Want me to fuck your face, hm? God, you’re so fucking needy.”
You bring your lips back down and take in as much of him as you can on your own, which is only about half, before your body physically stops you. He lets his other hand come up on your head, both hands holding you firmly in place now as he starts to grind his hips up into your mouth. It’s slow, the way he’s pushing you past your limits, but the way he’s holding your head still causes tears to form in your eyes, the tip of your nose touching his stomach every time he thrusts up.
His gaze stays down on you now, pupils blown as he sees the tears starting to spill over, the visual setting a fire deep in his stomach. “You look so fucking good like this, getting used like the slut you are, hm? Exactly what you’re made for, to take my dick like this.” He delivers another thrust, this one harsher than the previous ones, causing you to gag so hard your eyes clench shut, hands bracing yourself on each of his hips. He grips your hair and pulls you off, smirking at the loud gasp of air you suck in, admiring the thick string of saliva that connected your lips and his dick. “Wanted me to be rough and now you can’t even handle it?”
You bring a hand up to your face and wipe your mouth with the back of it, sniffling a bit. “I can handle it,” you croak out. “Please, I can handle it.”
Chris brings one of his thumbs under your eye, wiping a thick tear away. “Mm, I know you can. Can take everything I give you, right, princess?”
You nod and lean back down, flattening your tongue on the bottom of his length, licking a long stripe up before taking him in as far as you could, watching his face contort as you sunk down. “You look so pretty like this,” he praised breathily, moving a fallen strand of hair out of your face. He couldn’t help but admire you, his heart racing in his chest as he watched you pleasuring him. It was a sight he’d dreamt of for months.
You only want to please him more at his words so you bring your hands down and tuck them under your thighs, pressed between your calves so you couldn’t push yourself off of him anymore, giving him free reign to use you as much as he wants. He notices this and curses under his breath, applying pressure on the back of your head again to push you down, meeting you with his hips halfway as he rolls up into your mouth, throwing his head back in pleasure. “Fuck, angel, you take me so well,” he grunts, picking up his pace as he holds you in place, the sounds of your mouth slurping around his cock sending him into a frenzy. He knew you were struggling, tears running down your cheeks against your will as he used your throat, stomach tense as his orgasm creeped its way out. “You’re gonna make me cum, princess. Want me to pull out?” He brings his eyes back down to look at you and sees you shaking your head as much as you can, indicating that you want him to finish in your mouth. He sighs and continues, hips getting sloppy and grip on your hair tightening.
He cums hard and you take everything he gives you, letting the warm semen drip down your throat, some of it spilling from your lips as he fucked your mouth through his orgasm, the base of his dick sloppy with spit and cum.
Once he’s drained, he pulls your head off of him and looks at your fucked out face, taking it all in. You had black tears tracking through your foundation, eyelashes sticking together from the wetness, and so much saliva and other fluids around your mouth it was dripping down the front of your throat, glistening on your skin. You breathe heavily and smile shyly up at him, pulling your hands out from under your thighs. “Good?” You ask him.
Chris can’t help but laugh, shaking his head in amusement. “Yeah,” he replies. “Was fucking good.”
You smile and pull your shirt over your head, using it to wipe your face and neck. “Can you cum again?” You question, raising an eyebrow up at Chris.
He returns the expression like you’re crazy, reaching down to pull you onto his lap where you settle on the tops of his thighs. “I’m a fucking grown up, I can cum again.” He snarks, slipping his hands inside your shorts and underwear, pushing them as low as he can with you sitting on him.
You giggle at his response, eyes crinkling as you laugh. “Some guys get bored after one,” you shrug. “You’d be kinda silly to get tired of me, though.”
Chris smirks and nods, glad you’re aware of how much of a prize you are. “You’re right. I’d pass out from nutting too much if you let me.” He jokes.
You laugh, feeling giddy at his words. No one has ever been so… obsessed with you before. “You’re funny,” You smile down at him, playing with his hair for a moment. The air becomes thick between you both all of a sudden, with you staring down at Chris and him feeling the effects of his post orgasm haze, his chest tightening at the sight of you. Your smile fades as you look down at his slightly parted lips, breath catching in your throat. You tear your gaze away and look back into his eyes. “You gonna fuck me or what?” You ask quietly, licking your lips slowly.
Chris smirks and stands up, taking you with him, his strength catching you off guard. You wrap your arms around his neck tightly as you squeal, not being able to do anything as he carries you around the couch, dropping your body onto the kitchen table a little more aggressively than he meant to, but you didn’t mind, both ignoring the crack that sounded through the room from the force. “You really are greedy, you know that?” Chris tells you, pushing you onto your back before he pulls your shorts and panties down your legs, leaving you fully exposed for him to have his way with you.
“For you, yeah,” you reply, biting your bottom lip and smiling down at him.
“Fuck,” Chris groans, pushing your legs up and running his fingers over your clit, making you whine. “You’re going to be the fucking death of me.”
You’re propped up on your elbows as he touches you, feeling anything but vulnerable as he stares down at your soaked pussy, wanting nothing more than to feel him on you, inside you, anything he’d give you. “Please,” you whimper, not even knowing what you’re asking for.
Chris doesn’t even feel like being an asshole like he normally was, he just gives in, bending over so he can latch his mouth onto your core, making you cry out and drop your head back on your shoulders. “Holy fuck, Chris,” you rasp out. “Missed you so fucking bad.”
Chris moans against your skin, dragging both of his hands along the undersides of your thighs until they stopped at the backs of your knees, holding them up to keep you spread open for him. He was eating you out like his life depended on it, sloppy and loud, the sound of his tongue on you filling the otherwise quiet room. You dropped your elbows out from underneath you, no longer able to hold yourself up, dragging your hands above your head and tucking your face into your bicep, moaning loudly into your skin.
He sucks your clit between his lips, letting his tongue drag over it before he pulls away, eliciting a whine from you. You turn your head back to look at him, seeing him already waiting for eye contact. “Hold,” he demands, shoving your legs down as an indicator. You obey, reaching forward to hold your own legs back for him to free up his hands that he immediately moved down, slipping his two middle fingers inside you easily. Your head dropped back down onto the table at the feeling, groaning loudly.
His mouth comes back down to work with his fingers, free hand just rubbing any part of your skin he could touch. “Chris,” you sigh, hips grinding down into him. “Not gonna last like this.”
Chris hums, fingers curling inside you expertly. “Good,” he mumbles against you, slipping a third finger inside you, stretching you even more.
Your back arches off the table, jaw slack as he moves inside you, unable to control the sounds slipping past your lips anymore. He knows exactly how to make you fall apart and it’s addicting the way he touches you, always leaving you craving more. You knew in this moment that you’d never be able to get him out of your mind and you’d always come crawling back, no matter how wrong.
“Chris!” You cry out in warning, thighs trembling as he used his fingers and tongue to coax your first orgasm out of you, soaking in the way your voice sounded as you came. He pulled his lips away and kisses up your thigh, fingers coming to a halt inside of you but not pulling out. He looks up at your face as he kisses your skin, left hand rubbing your hip gently.
“You okay?” He asks, picking his head up to look down at you. You open your eyes and turn your face to meet his eyes, a small laugh bubbling out of you.
“You kidding?” You ask, letting go of your legs and letting them fall back onto the table. Your cheeks were red and there was a slight sheen of sweat covering them, your chest heaving softly as you stared up at Chris who laughed down at you, slipping his fingers out of you and resting his hands on your hips, pulling you to the edge of the table.
“Still want me to fuck you?” He asks, grabbing the base of his dick and pressing the tip against your clit, inching his hips forward to drag it through your folds.
Your legs twitch, sensitive from your orgasm, a small whimper leaving your lips. “Yes,” you tell him, voice laced with desire. “So bad.”
Chris smiles, pleased with your answer, before he pulls back and presses himself into your waiting entrance, watching his cock disappear inside you with his mouth slightly open, sighing out a breath of relief when he bottoms out.
“Oh my god,” you mumble, eyes fluttering shut. Your body melts into his as he presses his hips flush against yours, feeling like a part of you is finally whole again. “Missed this, Chris. Needed you so bad.”
He’s standing up straight as he looks down to where your bodies connect, his hands reaching down to grab your legs and pull them up to rest your calves on his shoulders. He pulls out and starts a steady rhythm, thrusting into you deeply with every move. “You’re fucked, you know that?” He sneers, eyes moving up to look at your face that was twisted up in pleasure. “I’m gonna fucking ruin you for anybody besides me, even your fucking boyfriend.”
You crack your eyes open to look up at him, the eye contact sending shivers down your spine. “That’s your brother you’re talking about,” you quip back.
Chris laughs and shakes his head. “I don’t care who it is. Who fucks you better?” He asks, picking up pace, feeling spurred on by the mewls that tumbled from your mouth. “Tell me. Who fucks you better, me or Matt? Answer me or I’ll stop.”
You’re letting out small moans every time he bottoms out deep inside you, shaking your head at his question. You couldn’t answer that, it felt more wrong than the sex if that was even possible. It felt filthy to admit the truth out loud. You both knew the answer, but Chris wanted to hear it, wanted to hear you admit it. “I can’t,” you rasp.
Chris stays true to his word, fully stopping his movements buried inside of you. “Fine,” he shrugs. “Guess you don’t want it as bad as you say you do.”
You’re scrambling, trying to reach your hands down towards him. “No, Chris, please don’t stop,” you murmur, desperate to get him to start up again.
Chris leans down in between your legs and places a hand at the back of your neck, pulling you up until you’re leaning on your elbows again, his face right in front of yours. “Tell me, then,” he growls lowly. “Who fucks you better?”
You stare into his eyes, conflicted. But ultimately, your desires overpower your moral compass and you swallow thickly before you answer him.
“You.”
He grins, eyes dark as he watches you speak. “I what?”
You huff at him pushing you further. “You know.”
Chris shakes his head. “No, I don’t. What do I do?”
You move your hips, trying to create some friction between you two again. “You fuck me better…” you hesitate, feeling awful for saying this. Chris smirks, awaiting your answer. “You fuck me better than Matt.”
Chris hums, letting go of you roughly before standing up straight again, resuming his rough pace inside you. “Say it again,” he grumbles.
You lay back onto your back again and bring your hand down to your clit, rubbing in time with his thrusts. “You fuck me so good, Chris,” you cry out. “So much better than anybody else.”
Chris digs his fingers into your thighs, using them to pull your body into his. “Whose pussy is this, hm?”
Your eyes are screwed shut as the back of your head digs into the table, back arching off of the wood while you play with yourself, body trembling. “Y-yours,” you gasped. “All fucking yours.”
“Can I cum inside you? Wanna fill you up,” Chris groans, voice shaking from the moans bubbling out of him.
You’re nodding at his question, unable to reply as you feel your orgasm crashing over you, neck straining as you struggle to breathe through it. Chris isn’t far behind, fucking you both through your orgasms, his load spilling out of you as his dick pumped a few more times, his length coated in a filthy array of your bodily fluids. The sounds of him moaning is the hottest thing you’ve ever heard, the feeling of knowing you’ve made such an intense man like him fall apart sending aftershocks through your body.
You’re both gasping for breath, your body limp against the table while Chris presses his face into your ankle, kissing the bone gently. “Fuck,” he exhales, looking down to watch you recover. “Is it bad that I never want to fuck anyone ever again?”
You laugh, eyes still closed as you imagine the stupid look on his face, one that shows he’s joking but he still looks cocky and proud. “Yeah, pretty bad,” you answer him, finally peeling your eyes open. “Wouldn’t really work, either.”
Chris pouts and leans over your body, still buried inside you contently, until his nose is brushing over yours. “No? Why not?”
You scoff and lean your chin forward, letting your lips ghost over his. “Because… it’s just not realistic.”
Chris closes the distance and presses your lips together, a new feeling blooming through you at the intimacy shared. He pulls away quick, though, as to not let it linger. “Wish I got to you first,” he mutters, so softly you almost miss it. His words make your head spin, not knowing if you heard him correctly, but then he continues. “Would fuck you so good all the time you wouldn’t have to fuck someone else. I’d treat you so fucking well you’d never even think about leaving me. You’d be so fucking good at being my girl.”
Your next exhale is shaky as you comprehend what he’s saying, though no words come out and he’s met with only silence.
“Sorry,” he sighed, kissing your cheek before standing up again, pulling out of you. “That’s just my post nut brain speaking, don’t listen to me.”
You lay there for a moment before sitting up, grabbing his bicep as he’s about to walk away, tugging him back between your legs. Once he settles back and your faces are close together again, you shake your head at him in disbelief. “You are such a younger sibling, you know that? Always want what your big brothers have.”
Chris smiles, glad you weren’t mad at what he had confessed. He drags his tongue over his upper teeth slowly before he leans in to your ear, lips brushing over your lobe, whispering softly.
“And I always get what I want.”
