Your Power (1)
Pairing: Azriel x reader
Summary: Meeting Azriel and the inner circle was not in your plans by any means. But it happened and it was not your brightest moment.
Word count: 3.4k
Warnings: mentions of death
A/N: Had this idea for a while and wanted to get it out! I haven’t read Silver Flames soo anything that might seem out of place is totally on purpose. I apologize for any (all) grammatical error :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘’YOU!’’
Azriel saw you the second you started walking their way. Your wide-eyed friend behind you trying to keep up with your drunk self. As always, he was on high alert even when his family told him to relax and enjoy the night. So, when he saw where you were headed, he quickly analyzed the situation and realized you weren’t a threat, even more as your friend tried to get you to stop.
He looked at Rhys, who in return raised an eyebrow at you and gave you his charming smile, and then back at you and decided to entertain the scene before him.
‘’You’ve forgotten about us, you know that right?! How can you continue to act all high and mighty while the rest of us are breaking down more and more each day!’’
You had one finger pointing at Rhys, your other hand bunched up in a fist on your side. They (Azriel, Rhys, Cassian, Feyre and Mor. The rest of the inner circle didn’t bother to go out that night and join them at Rita’s) all knew you were drunk but you were looking at them so fiercely, your voice never quivered, you definitely had all of their attention.
‘’Yes, you saved us but for what? To cast us aside when you’re done?’’ You looked to Feyre then. ‘’And you! I had such high hopes for you! A high lady yes, go females! But you’ve done the same!’’
Azriel saw how Rhys stopped smiling the second you turned to his mate, still recognizing that you were all bark and no bite but knowing how Feyre was going to save every single word you were saying in her brain and was going to overthink it later. Clearly, the amount of drinks you’ve had didn’t make you forget you were currently yelling at the High Lord and High Lady.
‘’Velaris needs you, the people need you! So do something about it!’’ With this, you finally dropped your hand, looked at them one last time before storming away. Your friend, once again, running after you not wanting to look at them after what you had done. She knew you were going to regret this outburst the next day.
And you did.
The second you woke up the next day, everything came rushing back and you wished you had a hangover so you wouldn’t have to think about it. A hangover sounded a thousand times better than thinking about how foolish and stupid you looked the night before.
Like, really? To go to the inner circle’s table, drunk, and yell at the high lord and lady? Surely, they were either going to forget about it or kill you. Or maybe they’d kill you and THEN forget about the incident. Sure, that’s what was going to happen.
But you quickly dismissed the idea when two days passed and nothing happened. Your life went back to normal and that was it. As if, the encounter you had with Velaris’ (and probably all of Prythian’s) most powerful fae was nothing. It probably was, you were just another common fae.
So, two days passed and you put it on the back of your mind focusing on your duties. Today, first thing you must do is drop off your nephew at school.
On Tuesday mornings, your sister-in-law wakes up before the sunrise to get ingredients for the shop meaning she couldn’t take your nephew to school. Therefore, you volunteered to do it. You loved your nephew and would do anything for him and his mother. Anything to make their lives easier. Sometimes your mom would join you but most times, it was just you and you were more than okay with that, savoring all the time you can with your nephew.
‘’Excellent! You’re gonna ace that test, kid’’. You sent him a big smile, squeezing the hand you were holding as you made your way to the school.
‘’I hope so. Mom said she’d let join her to the meadows if I did.’’ Of course he was interested in joining his mother. Like her, he loved nature and everything it provided them. He said he wanted to follow her footsteps and he was unknowingly also following his father's.
Your brother.
‘’Then you better get your boots ready, kid. I’m positive you’re gonna do great.’’
He gave you a big smile. He had your brother’s smile and you loved that about him. It made you feel like he was always there with you. It made missing him hurt less, even if years had already passed.
Both of you continue the walk to school. Talking about anything and everything. Like you, he was a yapper. But not everyone got to see that side of you. Many said you were quiet but that’s only because you don’t trust easily. Once you trust someone then they couldn’t get you to shut up. It was one of the many things that made you, you.
As you were nearing the school, your nephew stopped. ‘’What was that?’’
You looked at him confused ‘’What was what?’’
He looked around as if trying to locate whatever thing he saw. ‘’ I don’t know. It looked like a shadow’’. You looked at him even more confused. A shadow?
‘’Maybe it was a dragon’’ He looked at you unamused. ‘’Dragons don’t exist, Aunt Y/N’’.
‘’Maybe they should’’ you murmured under your breath. You shook your head and forgot about it as you looked at the school. You sighed. ‘’All right, kid. Go in there and do everything I wouldn’t do.’’
He gave you a look. ‘’You’re not supposed to encourage that’’. He was so mature for being so young.
You giggled and gave him a push towards school. ‘’Give ‘em hell! I’ll see you later!’’ You waved and sent him a kiss goodbye.
Once he was inside, you made your way to work.
Before you were even born, your family owned an apothecary shop. Your mother made sure you and your brother knew all about the family business as you were growing up. Your father passed away when you were a babe, having no recollection of him. Therefore, your mother ran the business until you or your brother were old enough to take care of it.
Growing up, you knew quickly that you wanted to do nothing with it. Nature was not your thing, you had great respect for it but it didn’t come naturally to you the way it did for your brother. He loved it and he loved spending time in the shop with your mother learning about it.
They had decided then that he was to stay with the shop once he was of age and finished his studies. You, on the other hand, gravitated to another side: music and arts. You loved anything that had to do with music: listening, playing, creating it; you name it. If there was music, you’d be there. A trait you’d inherited from your father, that’s what mother always said.
You had a job at a music shop and you loved it. It was everything you ever wanted and you were SO SURE that the man that owned it was going to promote you and one day maybe even give it to you. You wanted to take care of it, of the instruments, of the stories behind them. The shop had nights where the people would come and play together creating beautiful music. You wanted to play in all of them. Music was one of the things that made you extremely happy.
But then the war happened and your brother died.
And all of your plans to stay at the music shop died with him. You couldn’t stay there and let your family business die with him too. Your mother, nephew and sister-in-law were heart broken (as were you, of course. Heart broken doesn’t even come close) and you knew they were in no shape to run the shop.
So, there you went and stepped up to the plate. It was very hard at first to get the hang of it. You weren’t your brother, you didn’t have the same patience or love for it but eventually, you made it through. A year later, your sister-in-law decided to work there as well, saying that it made her feel closer to her husband.
You understand her completely, because sometimes you feel like he was there. It made you somewhat happy that you didn’t give up on the shop, on his dream even if you had to give up yours. Also, you have so much respect for her, not imagining how it must feel to love someone (romantically) so deeply, someone you swore was going to be with you for eternity and then having them gone so unexpectedly. Never to see them again.
You had your flings sure, but in all your centuries of being alive, you had never fallen in love the way your brother and sister-in-law were. Their love story was one of the most beautiful stories you’ve ever experienced and you hope to have one yourself one day. But until then, your day must go on.
‘’Good morning!’’ You said to Sabrina, one of the faes that also worked in the shop. She looked at you and smiled back.
‘’Morning, boss!’’ She was younger than you by a few centuries and you enjoyed having her in the shop. Somehow, she was always up to date with the town’s gossip so it was great to yap with her.
‘’How was your night, huh? That male still thinks you’re his mate?’’
She gave you a mischievous smile and a wink. ‘’Oh yeah, you should’ve see him. I got him to fix my bathroom sink. For free of course’’. Oh yeah, she scared you as well. She was a beautiful fae (and she knew it). With eyes and body that resembled siren’s, she could have any male she wanted and somehow tricked them into believing they were mates. Like a siren would indeed.
You thought it was both hilarious and dumb. You’ve heard tales of mating bonds, of how precious, powerful and extremely rare they were. And yet, somehow the males believed Sabrina when she would tell them that she was their mate.
‘’Males are dumb and will believe anything you say to them so long you give them attention’’ She would always say. She was right in one thing for sure, males are dumb.
‘’You’re evil’’. You said with a laugh and went inside the office of the shop.
Ugh, this work was so boring and tedious, you thought. How did your brother enjoy this? Shaking your head to clear your thoughts, you sighed and started working.
Until about 20 minutes later, Sabrina stormed inside the office. You looked up at her confused, she wasn’t one to barge in like that.
‘’Yes? What’s wrong?’’ She was wide eyed, mouth opening as if she’d seen a ghost. So, you told her just that. ‘’You look like you’ve seen a ghost’’.
‘’Shadows actually’’ She whispered. You looked at her even more confused. Shadows? Like the ones your nephew saw this morning?
‘’Shadows?’’
‘’Shadowsinger’’
‘’Shadowsinger? Sabrina, you’re not making any sense’’. Truly, she was scaring you. Shadowsinger, what the heck did she mean?
‘’He’s here!’’ She whispered yelled. ‘’The high lord’s Shadowsinger. He’s here and he’s looking for you’’. Her frightened eyes never steering from yours.
The high lord’s-what? But then, it all clicked in. Your eyes and mouth opened wide.
‘’Shit shit shit’’ you whispered yelled as well. Standing up from the chair and pacing in front of Sabrina.
‘’What did you do?!’’ the whisper-yells continued.
But you weren’t listening to her, you were replaying that Mother’s awful night in your mind. ‘’I’m gonna die, he’s gonna kill me’’. You whispered and Sabrina let out a squeak, hands quickly going to her mouth.
‘’No! You can’t! I can’t lose this job, Y/N! I’m still so young. Oh my Mother. Who’s gonna tell your mother? I can’t tell her! She scares me.’’ Sabrina continued her rambling, you listening to bits and pieces and further feeling fear run through your body.
‘’My sister-in-law is ready to take over okay? Just, make sure you hide my body and everything will be okay. You’ll make sure of that right?’’ In another scenario, this would be downright funny to you but right now, you actually believed that the male behind the door (who was probably listening to all of this) was actually going to murder you.
Sabrina shook her head repeatedly, motioning with her hands as well. ‘’Absolutely not. That is a lot of responsibility here. I’m technically a witness here! What if he kills me too?’’ After saying that, she froze, and you saw how pale her face was getting at the thought of dying at the hands of the Shadowsinger.
So once again, you had to step up and be the strong one. With that thought, you stilled.
Okay so you were drunk and decided to go to the most powerful high lord (and high lady) and told them off. Not your brightest decision, clearly, but everything you said that night was true. It was what all of the citizens of Velaris were thinking but no one had dared to say out loud, specially directly to the rulers of the city.
After the first attack the city suffered, Velaris was a slowly sinking ship and it seemed like the inner circle wasn’t paying attention to it or its citizens. But you were. Because you were also one of them, another citizen. But you were very observant and most importantly, you listened. You listened to their troubles, fears and never ending grief. You and your family were all testament to that. So when it seemed like time kept passing and no one was stepping up, you said something.
Drunk, mind you, but it was said. So, if one of the most powerful faes of all time was there to kill you, then you’d find a sense of pride amidst all of the fear inside you, and then die knowing you tried to help the people of Velaris.
Even if they would never know.
‘’Let him in’’ You stated after clearing your throat.
Sabrina’s eyes stayed wide open. ‘’Are you sure?’’
‘’He’s not going to want to kill me in front of you okay? I- just’’ You sighed, none of this was making sense. ‘’Just let him in, please’’.
But both of you knew that there was no other choice but to let him in. So with that, Sabrina nodded, looked at you as if it was the last time she ever would, and walked out to get the male.
You struggled to stay still, hands fidgeting, looking straight at the door and swallowing down fear. Any moment now, he was going to walk in and death-
Holy Cauldron, he was the most gorgeous male you’ve ever seen.
You quickly replayed that night in your mind, trying to remember if he looked as good as he looks now but truthfully, your vision was hazy and focused only on Rhysand and Feyre. You were honestly glad of that, that you were so focused on your goal and not exactly looking at him because if you did, you’d cower and retreat at the sight of his beauty.
He was one beautiful intimidating male, that’s for sure. And one who was here on a mission.
‘’Hello’’ You squeaked out. Quickly clearing your throat and recovering (trying to at least). ‘’Is there anything I can help you with?’’
The fact that this female, the same one who had the balls to go up to his high lord and tell him off without a second thought, is the very same female who is now standing before him and looking at him like she wanted to run away, had him fighting a smile.
He’s a male who takes his job very seriously, known for being closed off and stoic. So when Rhys sent him to find the female who had left an impression on all of them and whose words stroke a nerve, he did it without a second thought. It wasn’t that hard to find you, he was really good at his job and also, your family business was well known in Velaris. People knew who you were and even though not all of them knew the real you, they knew you were a kind, caring and hard-working fae.
After finding everything he could about you, he reported back to Rhysand and Feyre. You were born and raised in Velaris, good grades, even better behavior, worked at a music shop, were now the owner of the apothecary, mother stayed at home, no father, has a sister-in-law who works at the shop, has a nephew, brother dead, no husband (that he could find at least). You were just another common fae. A really pretty one, one of his shadows had whispered to him.
He agreed.
He could see you getting antsier the longer it took him to reply. So with an raised eyebrow, he extended his hand toward you that held a parchment you had failed to see when you were too busy ogling at him and wondering if the death was going to be a painful one.
You saw it now. You also saw his hands. The rumors were true then. They were filled with scars, you wondered for a second how they must feel to touch.
Shaking those thoughts out of your head, you cleared your throat and stepped closer to take the parchment. ‘’Um-okay, thank you’’.
Really? Your thanking him for what exactly? You grabbed it and looked at it for a second before staring back at him. Not wanting to lose the opportunity to stare at his eyes up close.
Those rumors were also true. His hazel eyes were absolutely beautiful. For Mother’s sake, did he have an ugly bone in his body?!, you thought.
‘’Open it’’ How can someone so beautiful and intimidating make you feel things with just their voice? Is this what his prisoners feel before they die?
You could listen to him talk all day, but his reputation tells you that he’s not one to talk much, not like you. Which is exactly what you’re going to start doing if you continue to stand in his presence.
You weren’t sure if he was going to stand for your yapping. ‘’Oh! Sure-okay.’’ Clearing your throat once again, you looked away from his eyes and finally focused on the piece of parchment.
Opening and reading it, you gasped and your eyes widened.
‘’Dear Y/N Y/L/N,
We are inviting you to a formal meeting that will be held in two days, morning time at The Library. Please confirm with Azriel of your attendance.
We eagerly await your presence.
Rhysand and Feyre
High Lord and High Lady of the Night’s Court. ‘’
A meeting? With you? For what? Do they all want to have a part in your death?
You really need to stop thinking that they’re going to kill you, they would have done it by now…right?
Your ongoing thoughts were definitely not helping with the nerves. Why the heck did they want to meet with you?
Reading it a third time, you saw the name Azriel and assumed this was the Shadowsinger standing right before you and patiently waiting for your response.
Right, response. You’re supposed to confirm your attendance. But, were you going to go? Were you really going to say no to your high lord and lady? You might’ve been brave when you were under the influence but any other day you weren’t exactly courageous or anything. But what was at stake here? Maybe this was your chance to apologize for that night. You weren’t going to apologize for saying the truth but perhaps how it was delivered. Okay sure, you can do that..right?
‘’Right-umm’’. You looked at the male before you, noticing the brightness of his hazel eyes and was that amusement? Was he..amused by all of this?
‘’I’ll be there’’. You decided. Fuck, you weren’t sure about this. But it was out there, Azriel heard it and was sure going to report it back.
Azriel nodded and took a step back from you.
You were glad of the extra breathing space. It was still early, how the heck were you supposed to focus during the rest of the day?
‘’I wouldn’t leave your body here, I’d hide it. Can’t leave evidence behind’’
Did he just make a joke? Of your death? He obviously heard you and Sabrina then. And the male had the audacity to find it funny!
So, the cold and ruthless Shadowsinger had humor then…a dark one it seems. Interesting.
Too shock to reply to that, you saw a hint of a smile on his face before he quickly hid it and left. Leaving you with a memory of his eyes and smile engraved in your brain.
What the fuck did you agree to?
Prompt 16 - Bone
@jegulus-microfic January 16 Word count 536
Grimmauld Place was a mess. His mother had turned to madness in the end. After his father had died and she realised she was alone, she’d snapped. Hence, the state of every single room.
Regulus had asked James to help him clear some of the mess up.
“I’d ask Sirius, but he’d just throw everything out.” James had agreed straight away. The fact that Regulus was asking for help meant a lot.
They started upstairs, thinking it might be better to work from the top down.
“Godric, she did a right number on Sirius’s room,” James called as he surveyed the piles of rubbish, clothes and other random items. Regulus popped his head around the door.
“Yeah, no. She hasn’t been in here. This is all Sirius.” James felt his jaw drop. Sirius had always been messy, but this was beyond what James thought he was capable of. He closed the door and joined Regulus in his room. “Sirius can sort that out himself when he comes back,” Regulus said to James as he sorted through the items in the boxes he’d just pulled out of his cupboard.
Amongst the things was a tiny cauldron. James picked it up.
“This is adorable.” He smiled as he wondered why on earth Regulus would need such a small cauldron.
“It’s from my first potions set,” Regulus told him, pointing out the equally tiny vials of potion ingredients. James looked them over. He recognised most of them and could guess what most of the others contained. One vial he picked up and shook.
“Why would a child ever brew a potion that requires a bone?” Regulus shrugged, returning to sorting his belongings into keep and throw piles.
“It wasn’t exactly your run-of-the-mill potions set. Don’t forget who my family are.” James carefully put the vial back down.
“At least tell me it isn’t human.” He grimaced, wishing he’d never noticed it.
“Really, James. Even my parents wouldn’t give a 6-year-old a human bone to brew with. I think it’s rabbit or something.” This oddly didn’t make James feel any better. Regulus rolled his eyes and swept all the vials into the bin bag with all the other rubbish. James stared at the bag, even though he could no longer see the bone, he knew it was still there.
“Oh, for crying out loud, James, it’s going in the bin. Stop thinking about it.” But he couldn’t stop thinking about the tiny, raven-haired, curious boy learning how to brew his first potion.
“Do you think—I mean, if we ever— erm,” He struggled to find the right words.
“What is it, James?” Regulus asked, concerned at the stuttering mess James had suddenly become. James took a breath and tried again.
“Not that we have to, but if we ever have a child, can we get them a little set like that? Sans rabbit bone, perhaps.” Regulus walked forward and wrapped his arms around James’s body.
“You’re adorable, you know that.” He laughed into James’s chest. “But, yes, when we have a child, we will get them a potions set.” James couldn’t keep the stupid grin that covered his face off it at those words for the rest of the day.
Most days, Wild is more than happy to fill the role of social bird in the group, flitting from person to person. Four often joins him and they bridge the gap between pairs and raptors.
Wild plays peacemaker and attentive friend, making sure no one is left out unless they prefer space to themselves. Four chatters at anyone nearby; a near-constant soundtrack on their travels.
Today, Wild doesn’t have the energy to fulfill his normal role. He sits a little off from the camp, wings up to block out the others while he swipes through photos on his slate.
“Mind if I join?” Four’s voice is soft as a wing nudges his.
Wild grits his teeth, because he just wants to be left alone, but lifts a wing so the smaller hero can crawl under. “What’s up?”
Four keeps his wings tucked in and curls over his knees. “My head is too loud.”
Ah, a bad day for both of them, then. There’s no chatter now and Wild can’t help but be grateful for the silence. He swipes at photos without seeing any of them. He should delete some before the storage gets full again.
In camp, Legend screeches and Wind’s cackle answers; goofing off, probably. His stiffens; he should have moved further away. Too far, though, and the Chain would really know something is off.
Giving up on the slate, Wild drops it to the dirt and copies Four, resting his head on his arms and knees. He’s just…not up for being social.
By the Goddess, he’s not up for anything. Exhaustion weighs down every limb and the bright spark in his chest barely smolders. Wild got plenty of sleep, but he’s just…tired, all the time.
Four whimpers and digs his hands into his hair.
“Come here.” Wild pulls the other forward to rest against his knees instead, combing gentle fingers through Four’s straight hair. The smith relaxes marginally, but his wings remain tucked tight to his back.
Footsteps approach and someone taps Wild’s wing bone for attention.
It’s Sky. “You two sharing snacks?”
Wild glares back, not up for it today. “No. Go try someone else.”
“I bet you two are sharing bugs, aren’t you?”
He continues the soothing motion over Four’s head as the other burrows deeper into his knees. “Sky. Not now.”
The chosen hero’s smile drops as he registers Wild’s mood. “Right, sorry.” A final tap to the wing and he leaves.
Four growls into Wild’s knees and his wings snap up and open, knocking Wild’s away. “Sorry!” His eyes swirl when he glances up and pulls them back down.
Wild doesn’t comment, just shrouds them once again in blue feathers. It’s hard to be at war with your own body.
Sometimes, when his scars ache and his muscles spasm, Wild wishes he’d stayed dead, or that the Shrine had done a better job of healing. He’d never give up the group, but the pain has a way of muddling everything but release in the moment.
Four continues to mumble into his knees, but it’s under their breath. The words slide smoothly into each other and Wild tunes it out, eyes closing.
Maybe he can just…take a break. For a little while. Maybe someone else can cook and take watch and play mediator in the group. The burdens he’s imposed upon himself weigh heavier with every moment Wild ignores them.
If Twilight cooks, they’ll eat nothing but meat for dinner. Sky can’t cook and he’ll try to steal food all night if someone doesn’t keep an eye on it. No, Wild should plan a meal for everyone. Pick up the slate, check the ingredients, and pick out a meal.
He doesn’t move.
With a deep sigh, Four pulls away with a nod and waves vaguely. Wild lifts a wing to let him out, watching as they wander deeper into the woods away from the group. Whatever the smith needs, he’s not finding it with Wild. Should he have done more? What else could he do?
No longer having to wrap them around another, he folds his wings back and hunches down, making his own feathery cocoon to hide in.
He’s so tired. Wild doesn’t want to sleep but…just…stop.
The rustle of wings points to someone approaching. He doesn’t look up this time. The person settles on the log next to him and wraps one wing around his back, ducking down to nudge his arm. Hyrule.
Someone joins on the other side and a sheen of yellow and black fans around him as well; Legend.
Sandwiched by both of them, he lets his wings droop back and slumps.
They don’t push, thankfully. Hyrule lays across his lap, much like Four did, and snuggles into his stomach. It tips his feathers at a skewed angle, but Legend snakes an arm around Wild’s side and pulls him to lean on his shoulder.
Surrounded and supported, Wild lets his eyes slide shut again. One hand runs gently through Hyrule’s curls.
The silence stretches, but it doesn’t need to be broken. Maybe dinner can wait. Maybe…Wild can rest a little longer.
Playtested (Long story short, there's a weird issue with the kitchen where, if a sim takes out ingredients from the fridge, they'll drop them as if the counters and stove were blocked, but if you then click on the ingredients and choose 'Continue', the cooking task gets completed as usual. You can read more about this problem in this post. Unfortunately, I really have no idea how to fix this on my end.)
The empty version of the apartment building is available on the Sims 4 gallery! I will share the furnished version as soon as all the apartments are finished!
Look under the cut for the backstory of the sim living in this apartment.
Tracy Kinsman's a composer who's been working with various great musicians over the years, but most of the time, she's writing scores for smaller movies, series and videogames. She might not be super famous, but is well known and loved among fellow artists and fans of the genre.
But despite her success, she's been feeling stuck lately. When she started her career, her ambition was to one day leave her hometown Britechester behind, go to Del Sol Valley and work for big movie productions. Now, twenty years later, this goal still seems out of reach. It's not that she's not thankful for everything she has achieved, or isn't enjoying her current projects. It's not even that she doesn't like living in Britechester, on the contrary, she loves the musical scene of the town and has many friends there. But she can't help but wondering if this is it, if this is how she'll spend the rest of her life. Wouldn't it still be possible for her to change something, to reach further? She's almost feeling guilty for considering this. Should she really keep chasing these old dreams, or would it be better to just be content with what she's got, and make the best out of it?
Maybe this is also why she never moved out of her old apartment, where she's been living for many years now. She could easily afford a small house around Britechester, but this would really feel like settling down for good, deciding to stay forever.
Tracy doesn't know how to decide. Will she ever even get an opportunity to make her wish come true - and if she got it, would she actually take it?
Caring for Kunikida after a tough day at work
A/N: Hello to everybody reading this! I'm back with a Bungo Stray Dogs short story for the Kunikida lovers (he's so underrated imo)! This time, the reader (F) is taking care of her favourite blond after a difficult and exhausting day of work at the agency. Sweet, with a hint of comedy. Thank you so much for reading and liking my post, it means a lot to me! Stay healthy, eat well and drink plenty of water! - Sam
Tags: Bungo Stray Dogs, Kunikida Doppo, Comfort, Fluff, SFW
Word Count: 2k approx.
Your relationship with Kunikida has been stable and secure since day one. It was obvious from the very beginning that he was taking what the two of you shared seriously, and making it last was something he truly wished for. And when he suggested that you moved in together, it became evident how much he wanted to keep you in his life.
Kunikida is one logical man, which is why you found it strange at first. He’s not the type of person to wear his heart on his sleeve and put such an idea forward just because he’s lovestruck. Besides, at the time, it seemed to you that your relationship was in a stage too early for this.
“Are you sure about this?”, you remember asking in uncertainty over lunch that day. “I mean, we’ve spent the night together many times, but actually living together… I don’t know, isn’t that quite a big step?”
“It’s a decision that would be beneficial to both of us”, the man replied, opening “The Ideals” and searching through his notes.
He then proceeded to read out a gigantic list of advantages, which he had prepared beforehand and took up a good amount of pages of the notebook. You didn’t need such…extensive reasoning to be convinced, but you found it endearing how much effort he put into it.
Many of his points made sense too, like cutting down on living expenses, helping each other out, keeping the home and the workplace separate, and most importantly, not being under the same roof as Dazai - he insisted that the latter would grant him a particular sense of relief.
You ended up moving together shortly after in an apartment close to the Armed Detective Agency. It’s been a couple of months now and things were great, just as you expected. Both of you lead busy lives - Kunikida more so than you, and you were each other’s support system on difficult days, and today was one of them.
You happened to leave work a little earlier than usual, so you decided to spend the rest of the afternoon cooking a nice meal for dinner. You dropped by the supermarket, bought all the ingredients you needed and headed straight home. It was just 18:00, which gave you some time to have a quick shower, change into your homewear and get some rest before hitting the kitchen.
You got some relaxing tunes playing, put your hair up with a hair clip and started cooking. Since you had the luxury to be home early, you decided to prepare a more traditional japanese dinner, which included a variety of smaller plates. While cooking, you softly swayed to the music, thinking to yourself that you couldn’t wait to treat your hard-working partner to some nice, warm food.
The hours passed. It was 21:40, dinner was almost ready, but Kunikida was not back and you were still alone. Slightly concerned, tired, and no longer in the happiest mood, you turned off the music. The sizzling of the pork cutlet in the frying pot was the only sound filling the silence of what felt like an empty home without him.
You respect his work immensely, and you understand that there are gonna be days he’ll be home late. His job is very difficult and dangerous after all, and he is especially responsible and serious about it. You tried to reassure yourself that it could be an emergency and that things like that happen all the time, but your worries got the best of you.
“He never comes home later than 20:30. Did something bad happen to him? What if the Agency is under attack? What if he got hurt as he was investigating? No, it can’t be… But if he’s fine, why hasn’t he texted or called at all? How do I know if he’s safe? If something bad happens to him I don’t know what I’m gonna do-”
Your inner paranoid monologue got interrupted as you heard footsteps from outside and the turning of keys in your door.
“Honey, I’m home”, you heard his deep, exhausted voice from across the hall.
You sighed, relieved that your love was finally back
“Welcome back, darling”, you shouted, trying to make yourself heard over the sound of the burning oil on the kitchen counter. “I’m so glad you’re back! It’s so late, you scared me to death! Is everything okay?”
There was no reply from him.
“Darling?”
It’s okay, perhaps the oil was louder after all and he couldn’t hear you.
“Dinner’s almost ready! Have a seat and I’ll serve you once it’s done”
Moments later, you felt his warm embrace softly surround you from behind.
“Darling, is everything okay-” you were about to ask, turning to face him, but he held you tighter.
“Can I hold you like this for a minute and not say much… please…?”, he whispered.
“Mhm” you nodded. It was the first time you saw Kunikida this tired.
You felt his chest gently press against your back in intervals as he took some slow, deep breaths. You lovingly caressed his forearms, which were tightly wrapped around your waist, while his chin rested on top of your head.
You cherished this sweet moment you two were sharing. Being held in his arms was so calming, it made you forget how late it was getting and how worried you were. Kunikida probably felt the same way, you noticed that his tense body was slowly relaxing.
“Thank you”, he said after a while, leaning his head down to kiss your cheek.
“Long day, darling?”, you asked.
“Mhm”
“Wanna talk about it?”
“Not before dinner”
“Alright then”
“Is that Tonkatsu you’re making?”
“Yup”
“It smells so good…”
“I’ve prepared may other side dishes as well”
“Perfect. I’m so hungry...”
“I can also prepare a warm bath for you while you’re eating”
“No thanks, let’s have dinner together. I’ll shower afterwards”
“As you wish”
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t do this. I’ve been wearing these clothes all day”, he said, relaxing his hold on your waist.
“Don’t worry about it”, you replied, turning around and untying the red ribbon on this collar. “Let me just… get you a little bit more comfortable…”, you added, undoing the buttons of his beige waistcoat and the ones on the collar of his black shirt.
“There you go”, you said with a soft smile.
“Thank you”,
“Now, take these off, have a seat, and I’ll join you with the food shortly, okay?”. You gently cupped his face with both your hands.
“Okay”, he replied, before turning to leave, then coming back to hold your shoulders and plant a small kiss on the back of your neck.
“You look beautiful with your hair on a claw clip”, he whispered, making you subtly blush at the spontaneity of the compliment.
“Thank you darling, I’ll be there shortly”
“How do you like it?”, you inquired.
“It’s delicious”, he responded with his mouth half-full. You quietly giggled, you found it so cute.
“So, how was work?”
"Difficult..."
"Why did you have to stay so late?"
“Dazai and I were responsible for arranging the agency’s archives for the new season. Tons of paperwork, basically…”
“Dazai’s not very good with that, is he?”
“Oh don’t get me started on HIM…”
“Was he the one that threw you off schedule?”
“Obviously… Half of the work was on paper; old cases, and very confidential ones that we couldn’t afford to reveal in case a hacker attacked the agency”
“Okay, and the other half was digital, right?”
“Exactly, that’s how we work with new cases now. We decided to split things like that and work at the same time to make the process faster. And Dazai insisted on taking the digital ones”
“Mhm”
“‘I pRoOoOoMiSe, KuNiKiDa-KuUuUuNnNn, I’ll gEt iT aAaAaAaLL DoNe, I wOn’T gEt DiStRacTed!’”
You laughed at the accuracy of that. It’s true, Kunikida is very good at making people’s impressions.
“That fool got zero work done. When I looked at his computer screen, I found exactly 67 open tabs”, he ranted, as he took out his notebook, “including, but not limited to:”
“Oh my god…” you mumbled, knowing you were about to hear some very ridiculous things.
“A reddit post on how to download Goat Simulator for free, an ugly picture of me in high school - I have no idea how he accessed it - , and - stop laughing, it gets worse - his newly set up dating profile on Tinder, with his bio stating that he is ‘looking for a beautiful lady to commit double suicide with’”
This was just too funny not to laugh at.
“Poor thing…” you said, actually feeling sorry for the fact that he has to put up with Dazai’s antics, but still laughing. “I do wonder what that picture looks like though”.
“As you can probably tell, I ended up doing everything by myself, which is why I came home so late”, masterfully avoiding the remark on the high school picture.
“Yeah I can tell… It must have been exhausting”
“Yes it was… It gave me a terrible headache, but I took some aspirin before leaving the agency, so I’m fine now”
“Okay, I’m glad to hear that…”, you said, reaching out for his hand and warming it in your palms. You locked your eyes in his, making sure that he listened to every word you were about to say.
“I want you to know that I am very proud of you and the effort you’re putting in. You are very responsible, and I really admire your dedication. Rough days are expected, I’m sure you know that better than I do. It’s on days like this that I’m gonna be here for you, no matter what, and do everything I can to make it easier”
Kunikida’s expression softened. His eyes and eyebrows were now relaxed, and a little smile appeared on his lips.
“Thank you so much… It’s very important to have someone during difficult times. You might make dinner for someone every day, but on a rough day, that dinner will matter a hundred times more. I’m so grateful for your care and everything you did for me tonight”, he responded sweetly, still holding his gentle gaze.
After finishing your meal, you went back to the kitchen to do the dishes, while Kunikida was taking a shower and getting ready to go to sleep. Once you were done and went to your shared bedroom, you found Kunikida waiting for you in the futon, reading some notes from his notebook.
“How long have you been waiting for me?”
“About a quarter”
“Why? You really need to rest. Tomorrow is a brand new day”
“There’s one thing you’re forgetting about”, he pointed out, taking off his glasses and leaving them on the floor next to him
You shook your head in confusion as you lay down next to him. You were tired too, something must have slipped your mind.
“Goodnight kiss. Seven seconds on the lips every night. Releases oxytocin and reinforces feelings of connection and bonding”
“Oh, that’s right. I thought we were skipping that because you’re exhausted”
“The rules are rules”, he proclaimed as he turned to face you and show you the importance of staying disciplined.
Kunikida merged your lips together in a slow, tender, loving kiss, which slightly exceeded its assigned duration. You found it incredibly sweet that he remembered it despite his fatigue.
“Thank you for everything once again. I’m so lucky to have you by my side”, he said, pecking your forehead.
“Goodnight honey”
“Sweet dreams darling”, you whispered, gently stroking his head. Just a few moment have passed, and Kunikida was already drifting to sleep.
“Darling?”
“Hm?”
“About this high school picture of yours…”
Blunt and expressionless, he didn’t even bother to open his eyes.
“Not happening.”
A/N: The image of Kunikida wearing his black shirt with its buttons undone (especially if it's all the way down) is fueling my dirty little mind, but I'll keep it for a future piece heheh
You’d always liked George - why wouldn’t you? He was funny, charming, handsome. You’d be stupid not to. It had started back in Hogwarts - you were friends with the twins; close friends. And that’s all you thought of them as, until one fateful day in your 7th year where you made the regrettable decision to meet the twins after one of their last games of Quidditch before Umbridge had banned them, and George had emerged from the Gryffindor tent freshly showered, shirt hanging over his shoulder, trousers low on his hips.
And that’s when you’d realised you liked George as much more than just friends.
You hadn’t known how to deal with him at first, how to act around him, once you’d realised how you felt. Because every time he laughed, every time he ran a hand through his hair, you felt yourself positively swooning, as cliché as it sounded.
It took a lot not to accidentally blurt out your feelings to him, not that you were helped by Fred, who noticed the slight differences in your behaviour - holding onto hugs from George a tad longer, the way you looked at him when he didn’t realise, how flustered you got when he’d rest a hand on your knee - and made it his mission to make your feelings as obvious as possible in front of his brother.
George must’ve been the most oblivious person however, as he never noticed the hints or the longing smiles. Or maybe that was because he was busy trying to stop Fred from making his own crush on you so obvious, trying to hide his own longing smiles, and the way his eyes lit up when he made you laugh.
The twins had left Hogwarts soon after you’d realised your feelings, in a fit of fireworks, and then suddenly you were dealing with Umbridge alone, with her detentions alone. Not that you blamed them for leaving at all - you knew they were out living their dream and all you could wish to do was support them. It didn’t make being at Hogwarts any easier though, dealing with all the Educational Decrees. However, you thought the space and distance would help you to get over George, and it did.
Until you saw him again in his shop. The twins had sent you a letter in the middle of your NEWTs asking you to come and work for them, an offer that you gladly accepted, however arriving at their store on your first day - after the initial overwhelming feeling of pride at seeing how well their store was doing, how successful they were - you knew you weren’t at all over him.
He stood there, a smirk etched on his face, suit fitted to him as he crossed his arms over his chest, standing on the stairs in the shop as he looked down at you, and your felt your heart racing, cursing yourself over still being so hung up on the man.
His eyes slowly took in your appearance - you’d worn a cute sundress, due to the warm weather, your hair falling loosely around your shoulders and George felt his own heartbeat quicken.
He’d fancied you since his 6th year, most likely before that, the realisation hitting him when he had seen you dancing with some prat from Ravenclaw at the Yule Ball, when you should have gone with him. After that, after seeing how utterly stunning you’d looked that day, with your ballgown and hair done, he knew he’d never be able to look at you the same.
And even now, after not seeing you for months, you didn’t fail to leave him speechless, so effortlessly beautiful in his eyes that he couldn’t help but look at you as though you’d hung all the stars in the sky.
“Long time no see, eh love?” He spoke, moving down the last couple of steps and towards you, “Still gorgeous as ever.”
You grinned at him, “Always the charmer, eh Weasley?”
He chuckled, opening his arms to wrap them around you to bring you into a warm hug, one you gladly accepted as you wrapped your own arms around his waist, taking a deep breath as the familiar scent of his cologne enveloped you, making you grin. He rested his chin on your head and closed his eyes, smiling as he felt you nuzzle into his chest.
Merlin, he thought being away from you had lessened his feelings for you but in that moment, with you in his arms, he was struck with the same realisation he’d had in his 6th year - that he was in love with you.
And, unbeknownst to him, as your grip around him tightened a little, the hug lasting a tad too long to be friendly, however neither of you mentioning anything about it, you’d come to the same realisation.
Which brought you to now.
Being around George again was amazing, you had to admit. And whilst you hated the way you kept fumbling with products, or how clumsy you’d get around him - something Fred still loved to tease you about - you also adored how he made you feel, how happy, how content - he made your life that much better, a light in an ever increasing darkening world.
You’d been working with the twins for a few months, and it was amazing, truly a better job than you could have predicted. What made the job difficult, however, was trying to keep cool when George walked around looking like he did, interacting with the guests, making the children laugh at his jokes.
Godric, could he get any more attractive?
He’d seemed to up the ante this week, almost on purpose you swore, constantly walking around in just his shirt and tie due to the summer heat, the lack of a jacket meaning you were faced with doing your job and working with customers whilst also trying not to stare at the way his shirt fit snugly around him, or how his forearms were showcased due to him rolling his sleeve to his elbows, veins appearing any time he tended his arms, whether that be due to moving things around the shop, demonstrating how certain products worked, or lifting and moving heavy equipment.
The latter of which currently occurring, as Fred had left George alone to deal with a delivery after the shop had shut.
You were stood at the Pygmy Puff display, moving cages around and making sure they were well looked after when you heard some grunts coming from the store room, as if someone had picked up something with a lot of weight. You then heard footsteps behind you, making you pause with the last - feisty - Pygmy Puff in your hand, the rest having been put into their cages.
You turned around, breath hitching in your throat as you took in the sight before you. Namely, George Weasley holding what appeared to be quite a heavy box, if his staggered breathing was anything to go by. He’d shed his jacket somewhere in the back, along with his waistcoat, leaving him in just his shirt, which was tightly fitted and, you noticed as he placed the box down on top of another cardboard box, stuck to him a little with sweat from the heavy lifting. His sleeves were rolled to his elbows, showcasing his forearms, and you found yourself gulping as your eyes wandered down the prominent veins, to his large hands, one of which was pulled through his messy ginger hair, pushing the strands out of his face.
And he had no idea.
He had no idea at all that suddenly you couldn’t focus, that suddenly all the breath had left your lungs, that suddenly all you could think about was how his hands would feel on you, holding your waist, gripping your hips, squeezing your thighs. How his fingers would feel inside of you.
George looked over at you and shot you a grin, one that made your heart race even more than it already was, “Bloody big delivery today, eh? ‘S what happens when I let Fred order the ingredients.”
You gave him an almost starstruck smile, which he accepted gladly, before reaching up and undoing the top two buttons of his shirt, pulling at his tie to loosen it, your jaw dropping almost comically as you secretly watched him.
He noticed halfway through his action that you’d gotten extremely silent, your mouth open ever so slightly and George wondered if it was because of him. Merlin he hoped so, because if you wanted him as much as he wanted you, well, he’d be happy to take you right there and then against the till counter.
He turned away to disappear back into the stockroom, biting his lip as indecent thoughts filled his mind, heading to grab the next couple of boxes.
Back on the shop floor, you took a deep breath, rubbing your eyes and cursing yourself. You should not be stood ogling your best friend, much less your best friend who was also your boss, no matter how attractive he happened to be. You should be going through the boxes to separate ingredients out, helping with the displays and doing your job.
But no, instead you were stood, still holding the Pygmy Puff that was now trying to escape your hands, imagining all the things you wanted that man to do to you. And what you wanted to do to him.
Merlin.
You popped the Pygmy Puff into the cage, and wandered over to the box that George had just brought in, trying to push the thoughts of how you could see the outline of his abs through his shirt away as you began pulling out different ingredients.
He came back around the corner, holding two boxes this time, the top one covering most of his face due to the size, allowing you to stare longingly at the way his fingers were wrapped around the edges of the boxes, gripping tightly. You bit your lip as he turned from you to place the boxes down, watching as the shirt moved closely against his back, accentuating his shoulder blades as he bent down and Merlin did you wish you could see his muscles without the shirt.
“Need any help?” You managed to stutter out, trying to act as if you hadn’t been staring at him. Still bending over as he sorted out the boxes, he paused his actions and looked up at you, shooting you a cheeky grin. “Don’t you worry at all, love, I’ve got it, I am extremely strong after all,” he winked, and Godric, didn’t you know it, “You just stand there looking your best, that’s all the motivation I need.”
And suddenly you’d forgotten how to speak, how to breathe. You just nodded, though he didn’t see as his attention was back on the box in front of him. You watched him sift through the products, fingers moving nimbly, occasionally bringing out the odd jar or packet, sometimes throwing it in the air and catching it before placing it to one side.
He brought out a smaller box of vials, which he held from the top, placing it in front of you and gripping it tighter to emphasise his hands when he saw your gaze lingering.
He smiled to himself, pushing his sleeves up - making you swallow harshly - as he pretended not to know you were watching him, all the while flexing just for your benefit.
You couldn’t help the way your eyes kept drifting over to him, couldn’t help that watching him be so efficient with flipping glass jars in the air and holding different ingredients made you that much more attracted to him. You couldn’t help your thoughts racing, thinking about asking him to use his hands on you and-
“Godric, I love your hands.”
Your eyes widened in shock as his head turned to you, your own hand covering your mouth as you realised what you’d just said, and you began stammering out, “I-I... I didn’t mean- I- George-“
George gave a pretend look of shock, as if he hadn’t purposely been working you up for the last however-long. “You like my hands?” He asked with a smirk, glancing down at them before his gaze fell back on you, taking in the sight of you being so flustered. You got lost in the way his eyes held yours, and you could do nothing but nod slowly, making George bite his lip and step forward.
His heart was racing at your confession, not quite believing it was happening but very much wanting to do something with that information, “If you like them so much, let’s put them to good use.”
“W-what?”
George looked you up and down, his tongue darting out to wetten his bottom lip, “You like my hands, and I wanna use them on you, darling. You going to let me?”
You took in the way he was looking at you - like all his dreams had come true, like you were the only thing he cared about, like he loved you. “Absolutely,” you breathed out.
And suddenly his hands were on your waist, bringing you closer to him as he brushed his lips against yours, savouring the first few moments of you being so close to him, before kissing you properly. His lips were soft, moving against yours in a way that, had you not have known any different, you may have thought he’d been kissing you for years. It felt familiar, yet with an added layer of something new. A kiss that made your skin feel like it was on fire, that, as he angled his head to deepen it, made your stomach flutter, and mind race.
It was so perfect, even with the occasional bump of your noses - so perfectly George - that you didn’t want it to end. He pulled away a little, pressing more kisses to your lips before he began moving down to your neck, pressing open mouthed, hot kisses to your skin, making you let out small, breathy moans, feeling him smile against you.
You ran your hands down his chest, playing gently with the buttons and pulling his tie completely off, and heading towards his belt as he licked the skin just below your ear.
Beginning to unbuckle his belt, you also “accidentally” brushed against the evident tent in his pants, and he pulled away from you to grin, “Didn’t know you wanted to get into my pants that badly, love.”
You rolled your eyes playfully and bit your lip at him, making his heart beat a little faster, “Your fault for bringing that delivery in so attractively.”
You’d managed to unbuckle his belt and pulled him back in for a kiss, him mumbling against your lips, “Might get Fred to order stock more often then if this is what happens.”
He led you over to the stairs, stumbling a little up the bottom two steps before trapping you against the banister for a moment, holding you close to him as he continued to kiss you, his tongue easily gliding into your mouth.
Between kisses, and George pulling your shirt off, you made it to the apartment above the shop, heading down the hallway and bumping into the cabinet that was stood between the bathroom and Fred’s room, before arriving at his bedroom door, which he nudged open with his feet, bringing you inside.
He held you by the waist, fingertips tightening a little as he pulled away from the kiss for air, and to lift you up so he could throw you onto the bed, the impact making your breasts bounce and George breathed out a, “Fuck, c’mere.”
He crawled on top of you, your back arching into the mattress as your arms looped around his neck, playing with the tufts of ginger hair at the base of his neck as you brought him back in for another kiss. Your hands moved down to begin unbuttoning his shirt, something you’d been imagining all day, before throwing it to the other side of the room, George doing the same with your bra.
A few moments later, you’d both shed the rest of your clothes, leaving you bare against him, breasts pressed against his chest, his arms either side of your head, supporting his weight above you. You could feel his breath hitting your hitting your lips, his face centimetres from yours.
In stark contrast to the compromising position you were in, George looked down at you with love, a look that warmed your heart as you gave him a small, almost shy, smile.
“You know I- uh- I love you, right? I’m in love with you, darling.” He looked almost vulnerable as he said that, his eyes flickering across your face as his lips parted a little.
You lifted your head up so your forehead rested against his, hands clutching his shoulders, “I’m in love with you too, Georgie.”
“Me or my hands?” He joked, making you shake your head and laugh. You pretended to think for a moment before replying, “Maybe both.”
“Let’s see if I can make you come from just my hands then, shall we?” He grinned, making your heart race as his fingers danced down your stomach before pressing against your clit.
“So wet for me,” He commented, circling it slowly, smirking at the way you let out little breathy moans, before he entered a finger into you, taking advantage of the way your back arched in order to take one of your nipples into his mouth. He sucked on it, gently nibbling as he pushed his finger in and out of you, before adding a second finger, stretching you out a little.
“George,” you breathed out as he moved to your other breast.
He continued moving his fingers against you, in you, and you felt the familiar feeling of pleasure building in your stomach.
After being so wound up from watching him, you knew it wouldn’t take much more to reach your high, and as he continued to kiss your breasts, you breathed out slowly, almost embarrassed at how quickly he’d managed to turn you into a pile of mush at his touch.
“I’m close,” you whimpered, as George moved from your breasts to your collarbone, his thumb adding a little more pressure to your clit as his fingers moved.
Picking up his pace ever-so-slightly, he brought you closer to your high. He felt you clench around his fingers and pressed a kiss to your jawline. “Come for me princess,” he whispered against your ear in a low tone, making you shiver.
George watched the way you closed your eyes, mouth open and head tilted back as your high washed over you, pleasure running through you, and felt himself harden at the sight.
His fingers continued moving against you, although at a slower pace, and your hips jolted towards him at the overstimulation, “‘S a good girl.” He leant forward, pressing his body against yours as he kissed you gently.
“Think you can come for me again, love?”
You were breathing heavily from your first orgasm, though with the way his fingers were moving against you, you knew you’d be reaching your second before you could properly catch your breath. You nodded at him before he began trailing back down your stomach and settled himself between your legs.
You shivered as he lightly pressed kisses on the soft skin of your inner thigh, his hands squeezing your hips, before he licked into you, making you gasp out and clutch the bedsheets tightly. Letting out a moan as he pushed a finger back into you, you closed your eyes, head falling back against the headboard as you breathed out heavily from the way his tongue was moving against you.
You bucked your hips against him involuntarily, causing his free hand to push your hips back down and he looked up from between your legs, his eyes catching yours as he smirked against you, “Behave, darling.” You moaned as the vibrations of just those two words travelled through you, the hand not enclosed around his heading towards his messy hair and running through it, pulling at strands as you felt his tongue flatten against you.
Feeling your second orgasm creeping up on you, you wrapped your legs around his head and let out a moan as you felt George groan against you. Your second high felt more intense than the first, and the feel of George’s tongue pushing inside you made you moan out loudly, the feeling taking over you before you relaxed against him, legs falling onto his shoulders.
“You look so pretty when you come,” he grinned, moving back to hover over you. He pressed himself against you, rocking his hips against yours, arm muscles tensing as he held himself up over you.
You whined a little at the feel of him moving against your sensitive clit, making him smile.
“You ready for me, princess?”
You wrapped one hand around the back of his neck, the other reaching for his hand to intertwine your fingers together, “Always, Georgie.”
At your go-ahead, he pressed a kiss to your lips and eased himself into you, making you both moan out. “You feel so good wrapped around me, love,” he praised as he pulled out of you before pushing back in again, “Taking me so well.”
He moved against you, skin brushing against skin, his spare hand moving to touch any place he could, running his fingers down the curves of your body, before biting his lip as he pulled his hand from yours to grab your wrist, taking your other one from around his neck and holding them above your head, making you whimper as his arms flexed.
“Do you like what my hands can do to you, love? How I made you come from nothing but my fingers?” He groaned against you, feeling himself edging towards his own high.
“Yes... yes!” You breathed out, your eyes closing as you felt your high arriving fast, “George you feel so good.”
George groaned again, feeling you clenching around his cock in the same way you did around his fingers. He leant forward to kiss you, still holding your arms above your head and suddenly pleasure coursed through your body, and you sighed against his lips, him twitching and coming inside of you soon after with a deep growl.
He fell against your shoulder, pulling himself out of you before laying beside you, letting go of your wrists as you instinctively curled towards him.
George’s eyes wandered over to you, a smile small playing at his lips, taking in the way your hair was falling across his pillow, your eyes shut as you breathed heavily, eyelashes fanning across your cheeks, your hand resting on one of his biceps.
His gaze travelled across your neck and down to your collarbones, then across your breasts, a smug smile gracing his face. You opened your own eyes, catching his shit-eating grin and raised an eyebrow at him wearily, “What’s that look for?”
“I may or may not have left some... marks,” he replied cheekily, biting his lip, pupils blown wide as he took in the sight of you marked by him, pressed up next to him.
Your jaw dropped a little and you shook your head with a laugh, “Oh bloody hell, Georgie!” You stood up quickly and headed to the mirror across the room to check, fighting the urge to both laugh and smack him when you saw the red and purple marks littering your skin.
George sat back on the bed, eyes raking over your body, enjoying the sight of your bare bum and back, and found himself biting his lip and imagining all the things he wanted to do to you that night. His eyes lingered on the curve of your bum and he fought the urge to grab you again and pull you down onto him.
“I like them on you, they look hot,” George said with a grin, and you playfully glared at him in the mirror.
“You would think that.” Turning back around to him, you just missed the way his gaze flickered to the marks on your breasts and up to your neck, George feeling extremely proud of himself and his work.
“Yeah, it just shows people you’re mine I guess,” he shrugged unapologetically and gave you a smug grin, looking you up and down as you walked back over to him.
“Oh I’m yours, am I?” You raised an eyebrow, crossing your arms over your chest and unintentionally accentuating your breasts to him, making him let out a groan as he reached for you.
“Of course you are.”
He pulled you back down onto him like he’d imagined before, your bare chest against his own, his large hands holding your waist as your nails gently scraped down his arms.
“Fancy a round two?” He asked, one of his hands already beginning to head back towards your clit.
Your eyes closed as you sighed contently as you felt his fingers press against you, enjoying the feel of him, “I could be convinced.”
As you were straddling him, you felt him harden more than he was against you, and you opened your eyes to meet his own, darkened with lust, his fingers still moving against you as his other hand gripped your hip.
“Oh princess, how about I make you come for a fourth time tonight? And then again. And then again. And again after that. Would that convince you?”
You bit your lip, pushing yourself against his hand and grinned at him, “I reckon it would. Or maybe I’ll just ride you instead.”
He picked up the pace of his fingers against you, and you let out a moan from above him as one of your own hands covered his on your hip, making him smile cheekily at you,
“Ride me then, darling, and then I’ll make sure you can’t walk in the morning.”
Masterlist
Yeeesssss!!! Will do!
Here we go. Boys under the cut! Immediate Reader!
***
You were trying to go and find some food for dinner at Wild's request and found some interesting looking berries. They looked like blueberries from your world but there was purple thorns on the bush instead, with yellow trimmed leaves.
You grabbed a few and retraced and marked your steps to find your way back to the bushes. You thought that maybe one of the boys would be able to identify the berries and know if they were actually edible or not.
You stashed them away and grinned to yourself. It was a possibility that they were good but if they weren't- there was other ways to use the berries.
You still needed to find food that your group actually is able to eat if the berries aren't worth anything.
You hear your name being called and it startles you enough to take a step back and look behind you.
You trip on a root and crash against the forest floor- falling onto a separate patch of the same berries. Pollen and dew shoot up from the impact and you're forced to inhale it all in.
There's instant discomfort in your lungs and in your head, and you can already feel the multiple places where the thorns have pierced your skin and ripped your clothes.
You take a while to pry yourself out of the bushes, pain littered in all places you didn't even know you could hurt.
You cough and inhale more of the pollen that hasn't settled yet.
A massive headache begins pounding against your temples and back of your head.
You hear your name being called once more but this time in concern and blink away what you can. You groan and try your best to stand, falling to one knee in a coughing fit with pain and discomfort all throughout your joints and muscles.
You look up and smile despite it, a slight giggle of hysteria on your lips. "Hi Link! Guess what I found!"
Warrior "Oh sweet name of the three, what happened to you?" You see Warrior walk up to you and reach out his hand.
You giggle again and reach out to him. He grabs you and tries to lift you back onto your feet but your legs gives out from beneath you and you fall again.
"Hello~!" You lift out your hand and show him the berries. "You know if theses are good or not?"
"Nope." Warrior smacks them out of your hand with a backhanded swing. "Those are known for being highly toxic in.... depressant... components... Don't tell me you ate them?"
You grin and shake your head. "Nope! I didn't know if they were good or not...but I fell~!"
Warrior's face does that thing where he looks concerned but is only marginally capable of hiding it. "On the plant?"
"Link, you're so smart!" You get to your feet and fall nearly on top of him. Warrior is quick to catch you and hold you with his hands on your waist and you grin up at him, adoration pooled in your eyes. "That's what I did~! Man, you're so strong. You're stronger than I thought you were. Your arms are so toned too. I didn't think you had this much muscle."
"Ok. Let's get you to Sky." Warrior rolls his eyes and begins to more or less drag you away from the plants and back to where you think the group is. "Or maybe Four, this is his Hyrule anyway. Maybe he'll know how to get you fixed up."
"See, this is why I like you so much. You're always so fast to come up with a plan and you're so caring. You're so smart. You're so great." You giggle and try to follow his footsteps but find it really hard to put one foot in front of the other.
After what felt like a few seconds, (but was really ten minutes of Warrior fighting you and gravity (not successfully) to keep you upright), Warrior gives up on your non cooperative limbs and picks you up bridal style and begins to carry you away from the infested area.
"Link, I love you."
"I love you too." Warrior waves you off with a playful roll of his eyes.
"No.. but I really love you!" You insist, getting loud for no reason and place your hands on his face. You give him a squish and lean into his space. "You have to understand this. I would do anything to you."
"I know you would." He laughs. "I'd do anything for you too."
He shakes his head out of your hands and grins at you. "I think you're a little drunk from the plants toxins."
"Nuh-uh." You pout. "I'm too strong for that. I'm completely........ ok."
"I believe you." Warrior bites his lip trying to keep his cool before he absolutely looses it. He's both touched by your words and concerned for your well being. He supposes you're more or less drunk and loopey. It's not the most desirable circumstance but he's sure that those cuts on your skin and tears on your clothes can be handled more easily than the up coming hangover.
You fall silent after a second and look up at him. You poke his cheek and his nose and grin, hugging him close and snuggling into his chest and neck. "Has anyone ever told you that you're very handsome?"
"I think that's the more common compliment." He admits.
"And your eyes are very pretty and very blue and you have very long eye lashes and it's all very pretty. And you have a strong jaw."
"Do I?"
"So strong and sharp- it could cut glass." You say seriously. "And your hair always looks very soft and shiny and silky and I want to play with it but I don't want to make things weird. And you're so cool! You're so smart. You're so nice. And you're great with kids and people and everyone likes you so much, so quickly and it's so cool to watch you work and fight and-"
"You're going to keep going forever unless I stop you, aren't you?" Warrior swallows and tries to fight his upcoming blush. He had thought that you were joking for a moment but the more you talk the more it hits that you're being genuine.
You furrow your brows and hit him with the most innocent doe eyes you don't know that you have. "Do you want me to stop?"
Warrior almost trips at that way his heart skips a beat and he chuckles awkwardly. "Actually... No. It's ok. I don't mind."
"You deserve the world, Link." You say finally and go back to resting with your head in the crook of his neck. "I just wish that you could see that, you stubborn man."
"I'll... try my best."
"Good."
Time "Oh no." Time sighs and makes his way over to you. "What happened? Are you hurt?"
"My head hurts." You admit and drop the berries from your palm to cradle your temple. "I was trying to look for food... I think I found it but I also... don't."
Time kneels in front of you and places the back of his hand on your forehead. He hisses at the temperature and places his hand under your chin. "Why do you keep finding yourself in situations like this?"
"You boys keeping putting me situations like this." You mutter and try to stand. Your legs fail you and Time lurches in front of you in order to catch you.
"Do you see me as a boy?" Time raises an eyebrow.
"NOT that I'm complaining." You ignore his question and pat his face. "I love you guys, so much but like...This is what happens when I care about people. I end up in stupid situations."
"Maybe Four will have somethin to help out this." Time admits and picks you up without any further thought. "Let get you some help."
"Link, you're so great." You sigh and press your forehead against the crook of his head. His heartbeat is strong and he's cooler than you thought so you sigh in contentment.
"You're so calm and I always feel safe around you and you give the best hugs." You grin against his ear and Time has to stifle the upcoming chuckles from his chest.
"Do I?"
"The best hugs." You reiterate and snuggle closer. "You can ask Wind, he'll agree."
"I'm sure he will." Time let's a snort pass and he nods to Four as he passes. "They fell in a berry bush."
"Blue berries! With pretty leaves and thorns!" You cry out with an arm outstretched to the sky. "Not good for food, no no no, but good."
"Well... I'll start the antidote." Four sighs and walks away to his pack, immediately digging through it for the ingredients that will help you out.
"Four!" You sing and turn your head back into Time's neck. "Isn't Time the best? He's so strong and gentle and nice and he's so great."
Time lets more laughter fall from his lips as he places you on the ground next to his supplies. He says your name with a slight whine and begins to beg. "Please."
"Beeeeeesst hugs." You ignore him.
Four snickers from the other side of the camp and pulls out a bottle.
"I adore you Old Man. I don't think you get told that enough." You continue. "Like, you always try so hard to be a good person. You've gone through so much and you had no reason to start your adventure or to keep helping people and doing stuff but you care so much so you're here still and I think-"
Oh no, Time thinks, you're crying.
"Ok, ok, it's ok." time kneels next to you and puts your hair behind your ear. "No need to be upset. I'm here and everything's ok."
"But you've been hurt so much!" You pout, tears pooling in your eyes. "And yet you're still here and no one thanks you and you try so hard to watch over all of us and even then-"
"That's enough." Time frowns slightly and shakes his head. "I'm just doing what I'm supposed to."
"No one is making you." You pout and lay down on the ground. "You're not listening to me."
"Believe me, I am."
"Here." Four comes up to you and hands you a little bottle filled with viscous green liquid. "Drink this."
"I don't wanna." You pout. "I don't feel good."
"It'll make you feel better." Four tries again, before Time takes the bottle from his hands and uncorks it.
"Drink it." He says, in a tone which means there no room for argument.
"You're such a dad." You complain and grab it from his hand, placing it to your lips and begin sipping it slowly.
Time shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair. "What are we going to do with you?
Wild "Oh boy, I don't think these are good for eating." He says with a slight grimace. "We should probably not get near these. Let's go clean you up, yeah?"
"WIILLDD!!" You grin and reach your grabby hands in his direction. "Beautiful boy, how are you today~?"
Wild coughs a little and tries to hide his discomfort by avoiding eye contact. "I'm... fine... How are you?"
"Everything hurts~" You admit and look up at him with pleading eyes. "Carry me?"
"Oh boy, sure, why not?" He sighs and wraps around your shoulders and hooks the other under your knees, carrying you effortlessly through the thicket.
"How did this even happen?" He asks out of curiosity.
"I heard you call my name and fell."
"Fell where?"
"In the bush." You mumble with a pout and cross your arms. "It's all pokey and my clothes are ripped and I think I'm bleeding."
Wild bite his lip and hisses. "Sorry."
" 's not you're fault." You look up at him and pat his face. "You're too nice. I just wanted to help and got hurt like stupid me tends to do."
"You're not stupid." Wild scolds you gently. "You are incredibly smart."
"You're the smart one."
"Think so? I think some of the other will disagree."
"Well they can eat my shoes."
Wild coughs out a laugh again in a vain attempt to hide how uncharacteristically serious that was for you and how the unexpectedness of it made him lose it on the inside. "I don't think those would taste good."
"No.... But I need them so maybe they eat my hat instead." You nod to yourself in full serious before gasping slightly. "They should eat Legend's hat instead, then they'll really be sorry."
"Oh my god." Wild snorts and goes to cover his face before remembering that he's holding you.
He jostles' you in the process and the movement cause your headache to flare up. You whine and put a hand to your temple. "It hurts."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
Wild frowns and puts the information away for later. "We'll get you back to camp and figure something out ok, maybe you should take it easy for a little bit."
"Link, you're so good to me. I don't deserve it."
"I think you do- I say you do and I'm going to tell Time to keep you down until you feel better."
"Noooo."
"Yeeesss."
"But you're always doing something for someone else, who's going to help you with dinner?" You complain and flop your arms around- regrettably because your head ache flares up once more. "Oh, ouch, ouchies..."
"I think I'll be fine." Wild rolls his eyes. "I've done it before I can do it again."
You hum sadly and shimmy your way into his arm to get more comfortable. "You're a good person. You're so smart. I love hanging out with you. You know that? You're so fun to be around and talk to and you're always so.... good."
Wild looks down on you momentarily before returning to the the forest ahead of him. "Thank you."
"I wish..." You start and cut yourself off. "I wish there was more I could do help you. You help so many people- I think there's someone in every stable in your Hyrule that you've helped... not to mention all of Hateno Village and like- you built Terry Town... It's so good-you're good. I wish more people were good."
"Are people not good?" Wild asks you as he walks through the green.
"I like to think that some are. I don't get to meet a lot of them." You admit and settle your head against his shoulder. "My home's not as nice as here."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"I'm going to miss you guys."
"We're going to miss you too." Wild replies automatically.
"I think I'll miss you most." You hum and close your eyes. "Good people should get good things and you didn't get a lot of good things... Someone should fix that. I want to fix that."
Wild doesn't respond.
Twilight
“Oh!” Twilight winces. “I should have warned you about those. Four told me they’d be in the area and that we’d have to avoid them. You ok?”
“I fell... in the bush.” You pout and begin to sag your shoulders. Guess they weren’t edible after all.
Seems like they’re quite bad actually.
“I’m sorry.” You sniffle and try ignore the tears beginning to pool in your eyes. “I didn’t mean too. I’m in trouble, aren’t I?”
“Well no, not exactly.” Twilight rushes to your side at the side and brushes off whatever leaves and twigs he can see from your clothes. “Does anything hurt?”
“A lot of things hurt Twi.”
“Can you be a little more specific?” He tries, with a small tilt to his head.
“My head... and I think there’s a lot of tiny cuts on my arms and back.” You try to stand again and Twilight is quick to help you with a stabilizing hand on the small of your back. “There’s more thorns in the bushes than I thought there’d be.”
“Ok, we’ll get those looked at ok. Four should have something to help you in the mean time.” Twilight takes a few steps with you, wrapping an arm over your shoulder when he realizes you’re more intoxicated than he thought.
You put your full weight against him without realizing it and place your head on his shoulder. “Twilight?”
“Yes?”
“I appreciate you so much.” You take a breath and sigh. “You’ve been the first person there to help me out with whatever this adventure seem to throw at me. You’re always taking care of others... like Wild and Wind and Legend and I know you look up to Time but so many of us are looking up to you too and I guess I want to say thank you. There’s a lot of good in your heart and I’m glad I get to see it.”
“I appreciate you too.” He says in reply.
“But I don’t do anything.”
“I’d beg to differ.”
“You’re too dignified to beg. I don’t think you’d ever have it in you.” You grin. “I admire the way you hold yourself and don’t let anyone talk down to you- like that guy in that old Castle Town- or where ever we were. And like, you can throw a good punch too. I thought you broke that guys jaw!”
“Admittedly... Not one of my greater moments.” Twilight hisses at the memory. Time gave him a nasty look for that one and he’s still working off the penalty for it.
“It was super cool though.” You cock your head to the side, looking at his profile as you stumble through the forest growth. “He totally deserved it, don’t let Time let you think otherwise. I was tempted to punch him too or get get Wild and let him go crazy against the guy.”
“Wild probably would have set him on fire.”
“It would have been funny.”
“No it wouldn’t have.”
“Not to the guy, maybe.” You giggle. “But see, you’re always thinking about others and how’d they react and how to go about things that makes you so smart and you’re so cool.”
“Thank you.” Twilight stops the two of you for a moment and readjusts his grip on you. “Are you feeling any better?”
“No. My head hurts.”
“Well, we’re almost there and then we can get started on fixing this ok?”
“Ok.” You mumble and go back to mostly resting against the country boy.
“You’re really great with animals too.” You say randomly. “I’ve never a horse that close with its rider or how all the cats just gravitate towards you.”
“The cat thing I’ll admit is special to me, but are you trying to tell me that the horses of your world aren’t treated right? Because they bond really well with humans and dogs alike.”
“Why dogs?”
“Uh-”
“Well everybody likes dogs, I guess that’s a given. It's not even a question really. I don't know why I asked.” You shrug.
“Yup. That’s what I meant.”
“And no, well I don’t know... I don’t see a lot of horses in my home world so maybe you’re right and I just have bad examples.”
“Of course I’m right.” Twilight says with a grin. “Horses are great!”
“You’re great Link.” You try to hide your laughter at how genuine and boyish he sounded. “I’d take you over a horse any day.”
“Well I’d hope so.”
Wind
"What is it?" Wind tilts his head and steps into your direction, trying to piece together what happened to you with what little information he has. "You look like you got in a fight... and lost."
"I fell the bush of these berries! Look!" You grin beyond the pain in your head and hold your hand out.
Wind walks up to you and picks one up between his fingers, twisting it around before looking back at you. "Are these safe to eat?"
"I have no idea." You answer honestly. "I was going to as Wild if he knew but then I fell in this bush and got hurt so I gotta go get myself checked out."
"Well that explains why your clothes are torn." Wind snorts a little and holds his hand out. "Do you need help?"
You hum and try to examine yourself from the inside. Your head is killing you but you feel loopey and uncentered.
Maybe some help would be nice.
"Yes, please." You take his hand and let him pull you up. "Thank you Link."
"No problem." He grins. "Can you get back to the camp on your own?"
You hum again and try to take a step forward. But your knee buckles from beneath you and you fall the ground again. "Ow."
"Ok, guess not." Wind is by your side within seconds and helps you back to your feet. "That's ok! I'll just help you get to the others and maybe someone will know how to fix you."
"Yay." You giggle and lean on the boy. "Have I ever told you how great you are?"
"No." Wind grins and starts to lead the way. "I don't think you have."
"That's a shame. Shame on me. Because you are one of the best kids I think I've ever met. Don't let anyone change you, ok? You are.... so fun to be around and I'm so glad I met you and I'm going to miss you when this is all over and I think I'm going to try-"
"You think you're going to cry?" Wind looks up at you.
"No no... maybe." You tilts your head and close your eyes, putting your full trust and weight on Wind's shoulders. "I just... you're so good. And you're so happy and excited to see all these new things and I wish I was like that when I was your age, you know?"
"Uh-"
"And I hope that you get to do and see so many amazing things, Link. You're going to change your world, I know it and I'm sad that I won't get to see it."
"Hey-"
"You can't let anyone bully you, ok? There's a lot of people that would want to break your spirit and your joy and there's a lot of things that we want to do to keep you the way you are but there's only so much we can shield you from. I know you don't like it. I know you think you can't take it. But you shouldn't have to. You should have never had to. You should have had a chance like all the other boys and girls to be young and have a childhood and just be a kid but I'm so proud of you." You say and stop the two of you for a moment, pulling Wind in what you try to be a crushing hug.
"You're incredible, you know that?" You lean back and put your hands on his shoulders. "Link, listen, no matter what any else will ever tell you, we adore you. I think you're everyone's favorite, ok? There's so many things I want to show you myself if the Captain would let me.... I doubt he will because there not exactly things kids your age should know. Like throwing knives and hand to hand combat... But I think we both agree that it's all waaaay past that point. So anything goes!"
"Will you really teach me?" Wind lights up at the thought and be jumps a little on his toes in excitement.
"If you're up for it.. I'm sure that others will try to fight me though."
"I'll fight them."
"I don't doubt that pirate."
"What are you two talking about?" Warrior steps up and places his hands on his hips. "We heard you talking but missed it. What is.... what happened to you?"
"I'm just telling Wind how amazing he is and how much I love him and adore him and how cool he is for a thirteen year old and how I couldn't even come close to that when I was his age so I'm a bit jealous-"
"They fell in some freaky looking berry bush and I think they're poisoned." Wind explains over you. "They're acting a little loopey."
"I am. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OK." You shout and push yourself away from Wind, staggering on your feet and eventually falling on your butt onto the forest floor.
The sudden movement flares up your headache and your neck muscles stiffen around your shoulders, making it hard to move your head. "Oh, ow.... My head... That was a mistake. Mistakes were made."
Warrior hisses and sigh after watching you suffer for a hot second. "Alright, I'll go wrangle up some supplies. Can you take them back to camp on your own, Sailor?"
"I was already doing that." Wind raises an eyebrow.
"Alright then, then go back to doing that." Warrior smirks a little. "I'll be back."
He then nods a bit and walks away from your duo as Wind makes his way over to where you fell, pulling you back to your feet and wrapping your arm over his shoulders. "Did you mean what you said?"
"What did I say?" You try to twist your head around to loosen up your muscle and it only slightly works.
"Well... everything you said about me. Did you mean it?"
"I don't remember." You frown and furrow your eyebrows. "Probably... If it's all good things, then yes. Because you are good. And you deserve good things. And you might be the little brother I never had... but I wish you were my brother. You're cool. You're great. I love hanging out with you man."
Wind smiles softly and sits you down on a free spot once you reach camp again. "I can be your brother, it's ok."
"Awesome!"
Sky
"And what exactly did you find?" Sky raises an eyebrow when he sees you. He recognizes the plant but can't remember what it does or why he's seen it before.
"Hm... I don't think that's good." He sighs and walks over to you, picking you up with a sturdy hands on your elbows. "Are you ok?"
"A lot of things hurt right now." You admit. "Are the berries not good?"
"Let's assume they aren't." Sky smiles a bit and wraps arm around your waist to keep you from falling. "I think you should get someone to look at you."
"You have really long eye lashes." You blurt out and gently bring your hand to cup his face. "And I've never noticed how blue your eyes are."
"Ok, those berries defiantly aren't good." Sky snorts and picks your hand off of his face. "Let's get you back to camp, ok?"
"You're like... one of the nicest people here, you know that?"
"Well I certainly try to be."
"And you're always thinking of others and you're so good." You lean against him, putting your full weight onto his side. "I'm so sorry that you have to be here instead of your home. You're so important to so many people Link."
"You think so?"
"I know so." You pat his head with what little arm you reach. "You're at the start of this whole thing... You are... the whole reason Hyrule, as everyone knows it, exists to begin with. It all starts with you. Not everyone has that kind of legacy you know."
"Is that really my legacy?" Sky looks over to you and you grin brightly in his direction.
"Well aside from the stories of the hero I've always heard so much about growing up there's also like the hero lineage as well. Not to mention you also father... the whole Hyrule Royal Family Line. So I'd say you're pretty important. and your legacy is pretty big."
Sky stops abruptly and the suddenness of it sends you right onto the ground. "I'm the start of the line?"
"OOOWWW!!! SKY!" You whine and cradle your head with both of your hands. "That hurt! Why did you do that?"
"Sorry sorry sorry." Sky bends down and helps you back up, readjusting his grip on you a few times to make sure that even if he loses his grip again, he won't be sent careening onto the floor. "That was an accident. I did not mean to do that."
"That was mean."
"It wasn't on purpose I swear."
"Promise?" You rolled your head over and rest it on his shoulder.
"Promise." Sky bite his lip to hold in his laughter. "I'd never do that to you on purpose, not like this."
"Ok. I believe you." You nod. "I think if you really wanted to hurt me, you would have sent your army of birds against me or something."
"I do not have an army of birds."
"But you're building one."
"No, I'm not."
"You are though. Maybe not on purpose... Maybe you don't realize it. You do know that birds flock to you right?" You blinks your eyes up at him. "It's a crazy thing to witness. I think you could easily rule to world with nothing but cuccos by your side."
"What is it with you guys and the cuccos? What did they ever do to you?"
"I can't speak for the others but I say with full certainty that my Zelda has a wicked streak sometime and she was mercilessly attacked by them one day."
"Oh my goodness"
"I told her to leave them alone but noooo, she had to keep hittin' the poor thing and look where it got her. Those little things are ruthless and should be feared. She won't touch them with a ten foot pole now." You nod your head to your story as if you were telling Sky some age old wisdom.
"Does that mean the others-?"
"Most likely." You snort. "Serves them right."
"That would explain that."
"Sky, I'm really glad I know you... as a person and as a friend. I think you're really talented and great and good and I'm so happy you're here."
"I'm glad I met you too." Sky grins and waves over someone from the camp to come help him.
"You're my favorite ok, don't tell the others." You wink in his direction and let yourself be taken away from his side.
"Oh jeeze, thanks." Twilight snorts and picks you up bridal style, taking you further into the camp and laying you down by the small fire they've started.
"I'll take that secret to my grave." Sky smirks.
Twilight huffs a little and stands to leave. "You can take care of them then."
"That was the plan."
"Sky is a brave boy." You mumble from where you've been placed and reach out to him. "He deserves better than watching over a sick sack of potatoes. He's good at helping people. Someone has to make sure that he doesn't push himself too hard. He'll over work himself and then there would no more Sky and the world will be to dark to recover. There's no way we can lose Sky. He's too good."
"Have they been like the whole time?"
"Pretty much." Sky shrugs.
"I think I'm going to throw up." You mumble and try to push yourself upright.
The boys then scramble to try and manage the approaching problem.
It's going to be a long night.
Legend
"Oh for the love of- you look like you took a swim through the underbrush. What did you do?" Legend groans and comes to stand in front of you.
"I went for a swim?" You blink up at him, confused and a little disoriented still. "Is that what happened? I'm not wet... Am I?"
"You're joking." Legend raises an eyebrow and and places the back of his hand against your forehead. "Ok, maybe not."
"I can not believe the legend himself has graced me with his presence." You giggle and try to stand- not very successfully. "What a joyous day indeed."
"What on earth are you talking about?" Legend kneels next to you and takes one of your arms, lifting it up and wrapping it around his shoulders. "You're acting weird... weirder than usual anyway."
"But I love you Legend!" You cry and wrap your other arm around him. It's a clumsy hug and Legend almost throws you off. But considering you can barely stand on your own feet with his support, he supposes some more wouldn't hurt.
If he likes it then he doesn't say anything.
"I think you love the idea of me." He grumbles. "I'm not that great."
"See, you say that but it's not true!" You grin and nuzzle your head against his. "You put on this big tough attitude and your defensive but you love us and we love you and I know you sometimes slip more food onto Wind's pate when he's still hungry but he won't go for seconds. Or how you sneak potions and healing items into our bags when we're not looking and I know you gave Hyrule some of those magic rings of yours to protect him. Or how you banter with Warrior because you try to keep his stress levels low because he gets flashback of the war and we all know he feels responsible for us even if he has no reason to be. You're quick to point out any puzzles that Four misses... magic eyes and all that."
"Have you been watching me?" He snaps and tries to make his embarrassment with anger.
"Yes, because I find you interesting and I've been wanting to get to know you better but you're one prickly pear." You poke his nose and try to keep walking. "You don't let me."
It's difficult.
"I know you've been watching what weapons Wild goes through and keep track of what he's been using the most, what he's most comfortable with... I think you want to get him something..."
"I'm an apprentice blacksmith... I want to see if there's something that will survive that wild rat." He grumbles.
"Ooohh!! Even better! you want to make him something!"
"I hope your fever erases this from your memory... Make it into one big fever dream."
You laugh and try to hide the grimace from your pounding head. "I know you've helped Twilight with something- he seems a little lighter but I don't know what. And I know you've been watching how much sleep the Old Man gets and I know you've been helping him with it. I know you're watching how much Sky has been fighting and how much he travels and you're quick watch his health and his breathing problems."
"Should I be concerned that you've been watching me this much? Because if it were any other person I'd be fighting you and getting a restraining order. It's weird." Legend huffs and hoists you up a little more, trying to keep you from falling.
"You help so many people." You hiccup and groan, the pain in your head becoming a little more than you can hide. "You're always watching everybody else's back. You don't watch your own."
"Who says that?"
"You take care of everyone else but yourself." You whine and hide your face against his shoulder. "But I've been watching your back. It's ok. I know you wouldn't like it but I care about you too much to let you hurt yourself. Someone has to take care of you if you won't do it yourself."
"I can take care of myself!"
"But you don't."
"Hey!"
"MMmm... Don't yell please." You wince and grip his tunic tighter.
Legend stops for a moment and finally looks at your face. It's flushed completely red and you're beginning to have sweat roll down the side of your head. Legend bites his lip and hides the pause behind the pretend need to adjust his grip.
He can't tell if you've gotten better or worse but he's going to bet worse.
"I'll go get Time. Maybe we can figure how to fix this, ok?" Legend gulps a little and returns to dragging you across the forest.
"Ok."
"The things I do for you people."
"You're a good person."
"Hm."
"Link?"
"What?"
"Thank you." You mumble, right into his ear. "We don't say it often but thank you."
Legend feel the tips of his ears go a little pink and he scoffs. "Don't thank me for anything. I didn't do anything."
"You're a good person."
"I'll chock this up to the fever talking."
Hyrule
Hyrule hisses sharply and can already feel the ominous foreshadowing of the hours to come. "Did you get in a fight? Are you hurt? You're bleeding, that's a dumb question, don't answer that."
"Rule!" You reach your hand out. "Best booooy!!! Hello sweet heart, how are you?"
"What happened to you?" He kneels down beside you and begins to heal the miniscule cuts around your arms and your back. He can feel the magic go down your legs and heal what was torn there and come back up to work on the worst of it.
It's a little more damage that he'd like to admit out loud and he's a little worried that there's monsters nearby that would have caught the scent of your blood.
"I fell in the bush... trying to get berries to eat... I was supposed to find food for Wild to cook but I don't think I can do that any more. It's not good that there's not much to forage." You mumble, relaxed by the suddenness of your pain being relieved and the cuts you've sustained leaving your body.
Hyrule frowns and stops his spell. It's a shame he can't do anything about your clothes.
"I feel funny." You say and lean backwards, over judging the distance and force and nearly send yourself back into the bush behind you.
Hyrule snatches your tunic before you can do that and pulls you toward him. "Be careful... Did the bush do this?"
"I dunno." You shrug and frown as you feel the pain begin to come back. "Are you here to bring me back?"
"I might have to regardless. I think you've been poisoned by the plants."
"I feel funny, not dead."
"Well, let's hope that it doesn't come to that." Hyrule rolls his eyes and wraps your arm around his shoulders. "Come on. We need to get you checked out and see if there's anyway to help you."
He's trying to stay calm... but he hopes that it's mostly you being loopey and not actually in any danger. He doesn't recognize the plant- but he supposes that's a given since it's not his Hyrule and he doesn't know the scale of the dangers around here.
"I have a headache again." You groan and don't even try to help Hyrule in lifting you up.
"I... can't really do anything about that. Sorry." Hyrule sighs and readjusts his grip to lift you higher.
This time you do put a little more effort in standing up and slowly, you begin to make your way back to the camp.
"I'm sorry you have to deal with me right now." You mumble and lean against him. "There's so many others things you could be doing right now."
"I don't mind. I'd rather you be ok than do anything else."
"You're a good person." You roll your head back and look at his side profile. "I hope you get every good thing the universe has to offer Link. May your life be filled with peace and happiness and all sorts of good things."
"Like what?" Hyrule finds himself asking. It stuns him and for a moment and he wonders if he's asking because he doubts he'll have it or if it's merely to get you to elaborate more.
"Like many friends and family and holidays and puppies and kitties and candy and good food and good company and cupcakes and lemonade-" You begin to list off.
Hyrule looks back on his life and the people he's met and everything that's happened to him up until this very moment. Enough so that he ignores the rest of your list and only tunes back in when you've past onto a slightly different topic.
"There's so many little things to enjoy in life, you know. I know you're humble and underestimate yourself and I'm trying to change that because you're absolutely amazing and there's a lot you should be proud and show off a little more because you deserve it but I wish you'd let us show you that. " You roll your head around again and try to match your footsteps to his despite the fog in your brain.
You keep talking.
"It might be presumptuous to say this but I think this group may have been the best thing to have happened to you. And that makes me a little sad."
Hyrule stumbles a little and you follow suit. "Sorry, sorry."
"It's ok. You'd never hurt anyone unless they deserved it." You mumble and try to fight against the now pounding sensation in your head.
"Hurting?"
"Yeah... My headache got worse."
"I'm sorry."
"You apologize too much." You groan. "I can't wait to see the day where you do something completely outrageous and just own it, just unapologetically decide that this is the hill you're going to die on and fight every one else about it."
"That sounds like a lot of effort." Hyrule snorts and raises an eyebrow.
"I can't to see what is the stick that takes you there."
"I don't think that's how the saying goes."
"It is now. I said so."
"Of course. Naturally." Hyrule snorts.
"Link, we're friends right?"
Hyrule nearly stumbles again but catches himself this time. "Of course we are! Whatever made you think otherwise?"
"Nothing." You admit. "But I'd to be the kind of person that's on the list of good things your life. Like that list I was talking about earlier."
"I say you are." Hyrule nods to himself and sees the camp in the distance. Relief flows over him and he nearly sags from it. A smiles graces his face as he turns to you and lets you lean on him a little more. "And I'd die on that hill."
Four
"Oh no no no no no, not good, not good at all!" Four hisses and runs to your side. "Did you eat any? Please tell me you didn't."
"Are they not good?" You tilts your head and try to keep your vision on Four but it's kind of hard to focus on just one of him. You don't remember there being so many Fours.
"No! You're not supposed to eat them! They're highly toxic!" Four grips your shoulders and begins to look over your face and check your eyes.
"Did you eat any?" He asks again, stressing the question more than you think is necessary.
You shake your head.
"Oh thank Hylia."
"I feel in the bush though."
Four groans enough that it sound more like a subdued scream. "Why?"
"I tripped." You giggle and try to stand up. "I heard my name AND FELL~! Hehehehe.."
"Ok. This..." Four sighs and looks around your surroundings for a second. He doesn't find what he's looking for. "...is not ideal."
" 'm sorry." You say and feel your lip start to wobble a little bit. "I didn't mean too."
"No. It's my Hyrule. I should have warned you guys. This is my fault." Four scoots in your direction and wraps his arms under your knees and behind your back.
He effortlessly lifts you up bridal style and doesn't hesitate to begin carrying you back to camp. "Time is going to have my head for this."
"No, he likes you too much." You blinks away what you can and try to think beyond the simple thoughts in front of you. "Everyone likes you. you're a likable person."
"Well thank you, but believe me. There are people who don't me." Four says with a snicker.
"Who are they? I'll fight them. Just say their names."
"You don't know them." Four furrows his eyebrows and chuckles disbelievingly.
"I can find them. And then I'll fight them. How dare they not like you!" You shout to the sky and wave your arm around like it's nobody's business. "You're one of the coolest people I know! That I've ever met! And I've met a lot of people! I've met this group! And you're still the coolest! Tell me their names, Link. I won't stand for this."
"It's not a big deal."
"I'm about to make it one."
"I won't tell you their names." Four shakes his head. Mostly because they're gone already so who cares.
"Then point your fingers Smithy because I'll find them and you won't have to worry about them any more." You say with so much resolution in your voice that Four has to stop himself from laughing out loud.
"Believe me, I don't worry about them."
"Oh so someone else got to them then. Good good."
He loses and laughs anyway. "No, not like that."
"There should be only people who love Link! Link haters are not allowed or welcome! Begone with those thoughts!" You cling to him weakly and Four has to grip you tighter to compensate for your flailing.
"Hold still, you're making this harder than it needs to be." Four snorts and shakes his head. "I deserve this. I deserve this and everything that's about to come. I know it. This is completely my fault."
"It's not your fault my head's hurting." You argue and frown. Because it's true. Your head ache tat you've been sporting since the start of your conversation has grown and it's beginning to be impossible to ignore.
"It kind of is, considering that it's a byproduct of the brumble bush." Four sighs. "Luckily, the antidote is pretty easy to make. The down side is that I'm not sure if I have all the ingredients and we're a little too far away from town to get more. I wonder if Hyrule can do something with his magic to help out... or at least lessen the effects so that it wears off."
"Will it last long?" You mumble and cradle your head in your hand. "I don't like this, Link."
"I don't like this either." He says. "If you didn't eat any of it than you should be fine in a few hours and it'll wear off on it's own but I don't think you want to be like this any longer than you have to be."
"Man, Link you're so smart. You know so much." You sigh and rest what you canon his shoulder. "I'm so glad I'm your friend... that we're friends and I want to keep being your friend. Can we keep being friends? Is it possible to be friends throughout different lifetimes?"
"I don't know but we can certainly try." Four grins and makes it back to camp a little easier now that you're so riled up. "I'm glad we're friends too."
"Yay!" You giggle and lay on the ground with little fan fair and with little convincing. "There's no much we have to do still... as friends and as a group. I love you guys!"
"And we love you!" Four snorts. "Get some sleep- it'll go faster. I'll wake you up when I have the antidote."
"Ok Smithy." You let your head hit the ground and close your eyes.
Four looked over his shoulder to where you are and smiles a little wistfully.
Until Time make his way to camp and eyes your torn and slightly bloody clothes before turning to Four with a raised eyebrow.
Four hisses again and raises his hand. "I can explain."
"You better."
mom’s mushroom stew ↠
↠ sapnap x fem!reader , dream x sister!reader ; fluff ; requested
↠ masterlist
You built your home deep in the forest, away from the majority of the rest of the residents of the SMP. You’ve found keeping away from the rest of the server and- more prominently- remaining out of the conflicts that go on amongst them all has led you to a more peaceful life.
You keep to yourself, though that’s not to say you can’t defend yourself when need be; there have been several instances where you have been targeted as a result of your brother’s actions. Your days consist of mining and reading, though mostly you tend to your garden. Your cottage itself is quite small but your garden extends behind your home for quite a ways, giving you plenty to keep yourself busy with.
Unless you’re mistaken, most server members don’t even know where you live. It’s not often someone other than your brother (who has a habit of checking on you more times than necessary) finds their way to your cottage. However, one person has begun to visit you frequently.
“Y/N!”
Sapnap’s call of your name is loud but not startling; you’d carefully been watching his approach as he walked along your paved garden path.
“Y/N? Where’d you go?”
Sat on your knees and effectively hidden among your flowering lilacs, you don’t show yourself even as Sapnap passes right by you. After eating lunch together, you’d gone out to the garden ahead of him as he used the restroom, giving you enough time to hide. He continues his search through your garden, unsuspecting as you sneak out from within your flowers and sneak up behind him.
“Y/N...? Is she not here?” he wonders aloud to himself.
You clap your hands on his shoulders, “BOO!”
Sapnap shrieks and spins around, shoving your hands off him and reaching for his sword. He relaxes immediately upon seeing you, who is now bent over in laughter.
“You little- come here!”
Sapnap reaches for you but you dodge his hands, dashing away further into your garden. Sapnap chases after you, faux anger offset by his laughter. He catches you, pulling you to a stop and into himself, bringing you both falling to the ground. You lay in the grass just laughing for several moments.
You roll to your side and support yourself above Sapnap.
He laughs, grinning brightly up at you, “Hi.”
“Hi,” you say back.
“You’re a sneaky little thing, you know that?” His words hold no hint of malice as he cups your face.
You lean into his touch, “Hm, you bring it upon yourself.”
“Are you victim-blaming me?”
“Shut up.”
You both laugh and he tugs you down, pressing his lips to yours. It’s almost impossibly picturesque: laying in a garden and kissing your secret lover. You tilt your head to the side, slotting your lips together. Just as Sapnap’s hands have found your waist- no doubt planning to flip you onto your back- a third and heart stoppingly familiar voice calls out and shatters your sweet moment.
“N/N!”
You pull away from Sapnap immediately, eyes wide, “Dream.”
Below you, your boyfriend looks absolutely terrified. As much trouble as it causes being the owner of the server’s younger sister, Dream and you are close. You are someone who he can always rely on to talk sense. It’s almost comforting how you will refuse to take his side in conflict if you disagree with him despite being siblings; he can trust you to be honest with him.
Dream has always been protective of you. From the moment your parents found you and took you in as an infant, he has been your self-appointed bodyguard, so to speak. While this was endearing as children and handy later on in life when the occasional man would have too much gall around you, it has become something of nuisance upon your entering a relationship with one of his best friends. Friends who had been told you are “off-limits.”
“Stay,” you tell Sapnap, who nods without a thought of argument.
You jump to your feet quickly. Luckily, you and Sapnap had been sheltered by the lilacs that you had hidden in minutes before. As you call out to your brother and make your way over to him, Sapnap remains out of sight in the grass behind the flower bushes.
“Hey, Dream,” you greet him with a hug. “What are you doing here?”
“Just stopping by to see my favorite sister.”
“I’m your only sister.”
“And therefore my favorite.”
You laugh, “Sure.”
“Anyway, I was hoping to have dinner together and catch up but I see you already have company.”
Your heart stops, “Company?”
“Sapnap’s horse is tied to your fence out front.”
Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap-
You speak a little louder than necessary, “Oh, right! Yeah, Sapnap dropped by. He just went to go get mushrooms for the stew I’m making later. You know how he likes mom’s old recipe, so I told him if he gathered the mushrooms I would send him off with some.”
“Okay...”
Dream seems suspicious but you can only hope it’s because of his protective nature and not knowledge of your relationship. His eyes are looking out towards where you had popped up from.
“You wanna come inside? I was just checking on my lilacs,” you lie smoothly, walking towards the back entrance of your house and hoping to take his attention with you.
He, thankfully, follows after you, “You’re making mom’s stew?”
“Yeah, I’ve been feeling a little nostalgic lately.”
Your conversation with your brother flows easily like it always does when you two meet up after a while apart. As you prepare the rest of the stew, Dream rants to you about Tommy’s latest misadventure and you tell him that your recently-planted alliums sprouted, replacing the ones that you gave Niki for her flower shop. It’s about half an hour later that there’s a knock on your back door.
“Can you get that?” you ask your brother, “It must be Sap back from mushroom hunting.”
There’s a brief pause.
“Sap? Since when do you use nicknames with Sapnap?”
You bury your panic with a roll of your eyes, “Come on, Dream. I’ve known Sapnap and George as long as you have; it’s hardly a crime to call them by a nickname.”
“Yeah, sure,” Dream says, unconvinced.
He goes to open the back door and you turn to face the pot of ingredients cooking on the stove, releasing a long breath to try and calm yourself.
It’s fine. You’re fine. He doesn’t know. Just be cordial to Sapnap, not overly friendly. Don’t raise suspicion. Be cool be cool be cool.
“Oh, hey, Dream!” you hear Sapnap greet his friend, “What are you doing here?”
When you turn, you’re incredibly relieved to find Sapnap carrying a sizable amount of mushrooms wrapped in a handkerchief. Thank god he picked up on your plan from the garden earlier.
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” Dream says, arms crossed over his chest.
You can see the barely contained fear on Sapnap’s face.
“Dream,” you say firmly, “I’m an adult woman. I’m allowed to be friends with whoever I want to.”
Your brother turns to face you, “But not with-“
“You don’t get to decide who I’m friends with.”
“But-“
“No buts.”
Dream obviously wants to argue further but for once, he heeds your wishes and lets his shoulders drop in defeat. The wave of relief that washes over your body is unimaginable. Sure, you may not be just friends with Sapnap, but getting Dream to understand that you are your own person and don’t need protecting anymore is an uphill battle; you’ll have to take it one step at a time.
“Come here, Sapnap,” you call. “Everything else it ready, it’ll just have to cook for a while with the mushrooms.”
“I’m watching you,” Dream says threateningly as Sapnap passes by him.
“Stop it.”
Boys over flowers [Genshin Impact/VariousxReader] Part 1
Away from their duties, the boys get a chance to relax with their s/o.
Genre: fluff
Characters: Aether, Kaeya, Diluc
{Aether}
When the sun hits his face, Aether leans back against the tree trunk while a single arm rests upon his propped up knee. Paimon was not around, this boy has the quiet time to himself
Except that you were there to keep him company instead. Aether gazes at you as you gathered the sweet flowers into your basket. Mondstadt had many open plains with tall grass that reached above your ankles, a warm breeze rustles them apart.
Aether enjoys the calmness of the world. The serene look on your face as the mundane sound sung by nature plays in the background. For someone whose been travelling for centuries with no definite home, it was moments like these that Aether treasured most.
Moments where he feels like he can settle down.
“You know I could really use a hand with these. The faster we gather the ingredients, the faster I can make these sweet madames.”
“Mmmmm, give me five minutes,” Aether slurs and yawns. Knowing him, it was NOT going to be five minutes.
He closes his eyes. And an idea popped into your head.
Quietly making your seat beside his presence, you took the flowers one by one and stuck them between the curves of his braid.
“H-Hey what are you doing?”
“Hold still dummy.”
Lowkey you’ve always wanted to do this
Remember Rapuzel from Tangled? Yep, that’s him right now. He has never mentioned it, but this was something Lumine used to do as well.
“Adorable!”
He pouts and looks away in response, “What happen to the sweet madames you were going to make?”
“We can still use them.”
“Disgusting.”
It was all fun and games until the buzz of the bees came flying by
{Kaeya}
Compared to downing the drinks at Angel’s Share, flower picking had been the least enticing activity on his sprectrum. He was a man of thrill after all.
But Kaeya still thought it was a cute idea. His lovely s/o plucking Calla Lilies off the shores. A commission sent by Flora.
“Darling, be careful to roll up your sleeves. We wouldn’t want you to catch a cold~”
“Okay Captain Cryo, whatever you say.”
Truthfully you didn’t expect Kaeya to come with you for a task so simple. You were perfectly capable of handling yourself and he could just wait for you at home.
Kaeya has his ways of masking his clingyness sometimes :3
During his childhood, Master Crepus would drop some of his wine stocks over to Springvale with his two boys at his side. Diluc takes him by the hand to go exploring at the nearby lake, stopping just before the boar territory.
Khaenriah never had much flora, it was a breath of experience to find so many of the calla lilies beside the fish swimming in the water.
Those days may be gone, the days Kaeya have yet to tell you and he felt like he was almost reliving in them right now.
Both of you tread down the path back to the city until the sky starts pouring, soaking both of you in cold water.
Kaeya leads you to a cave he saw before. He was an experienced night so these things were familiar to him.
And just like what the procedures say, stripping was necessary.
Not like you’d mind tho
His arms wrapped around you with your back pressed against his bare chest. Kaeya rests his chin between the crook of your neck and shoulder, he made sure not to let his cryo powers get in the way of radiating his warmth.
“Well whaddya know, seems like flower picking wasn’t such a bad idea after all~”
{Diluc}
This man got a whole garden of cecilias sitting at his backyard and barely bats an eye to them with his busy schedule.
Along with the maids, you’d chime in every once in a while to tend to them. It was something you enjoy doing when Diluc was so absorbed in his work, Cecilias were precious flowers unique to Mondstadt holding the meaning of “the truest feelings.”
This habit became normal when the two of you married, he lifts his head and relaxes the muscles tensed in his neck, glancing out his window.
There he caught your silhoutte contrasting the fields of white flowers. Dark as it may be, the moon’s light softly graces down just enough for him to spot you.
Diluc sighs. You were supposed to be sleeping, what on Teyvat were you thinking wandering outside so late? Incoming lecture, prep yourself ladies.
As you peacefully lay on the bed of cecilias, a shadow hovers over your sight. The soft luminescence shapes across his sharp features when his owl-like gaze meets yours.
“If you wish to sleep here, I suggest you do it in the day time. Monsters are still active at night no matter where you may be.”
“Ah so I must assume that the Darknight hero has come to save me from my impending doom. I’m delighted.”
You used this joke at least 30 times in your marriage life btw. Any normal person would tick him off but Diluc was a fool in love and anything you did was endearing to him. Even when they were as nonsensical as this.
Standing up, you closed the distance by bring your body against his until his scent was clear. With a hum, you said, “Hehe looks like I caught you.”
Diluc returns the embrace, “How so?”
“By bringing you out of that stuffy room full of paper work. Clever aren’t I?”
Oh what is he going to do with you, “I should’ve known you’re the type to do those things.” Diluc felt his heart melting as he breaks into a soft smile.
Sadly you’ll never be able to see it in your current position and the fact his cupped the back of your head with his gloved hand. A calculated man he was.
Diluc knew it was unfair of how much time he dedicated you. It was a blessing how you were so patient with him. He would do anything for you.
So when you asked him for a dance, he gives you his hand and you gently placed your smaller one atop of it.
He kisses your knuckle. Gingerly and light but always with the reckless passion burning in his heart.
“Of course, my love.”
One a stage of pure white cecilias, the Mondstadt breeze carried the drifting petals and fluttered them around the two lovers as if they were the only beings who existed in this very moment.
So someone stole my work, thought it was a good idea to impersonate me and claimed it was their own. So I’m posting it here so people know I’m the original author. Art is not mine. Part 1 Soulmate au! Please do not te upload somewhere else!!
WARNING NON-CON AND EXPLICIT SMUT
It was weird but not unheard of to have three soulmates. Lots of people reassured you it just meant more love for you. You, on the other hand, didn't felt it. Reading the names on both your wrists and the one on the top right corner of your back, just gave you chills. Not the good kind.
After doing some research on the names and better yet the last names of the three, you concluded that nothing good was going to come from this. You weren't a hunter, neither were you powerful. One could almost say you were average or normal when it came to brute strength.
So you did what any sane person would do. You disappeared. With some expert help and a lot of money involved, you erased yourself from the records, not leaving so much as a hair behind. It wasn't ideal, but you didn't want to spend the rest of your life running from a new enemy every week. Besides, if the three hadn't bothered to look for you, you figured you'd do them a favor, as angsty as it sounds.
Rural life wasn't bad. Leaving the big crowded cities and trading them for the quiet of the forest; it did you some good. You had a little cottage in the woods. Very far from anything and anyone. In the beginning, it was scary. What if something were to happened to you? Who would you run to? But as time went by, your experiences gave you the wisdom you needed.
So here you were gathering some water, inside a wooden bucket, from the nearby river. You pressed the bucket to your hip, leaning over to support the weight as your other hand had a bunch of pretty flowers. A nice touch for the kitchen today.
The forest was quiet today, peaceful with some little bird songs and the stream's running water. You walked amongst the trees happily, breathing in the cold air. Although the sun was beaming right on you, it didn't make you feel hot. The cold weather of the approaching winter contrasted the heat nicely inside your sweater.
Still, you kept walking blissfully, unaware of the stares focused on you. You did felt the paranoia hit you in the back, but this forest was vast, and in the time you'd lived here, no one has come across your little cottage.
Said cottage was in view as you walked. The sun setting meant you were on time to snug inside the house and turn on the chimney. Sure the smoke would be an indication that someone was there. But who would be looking for you? You had no family; cutting ties with your friends was easy since the relationships were shallow, and quitting the job felt like relief. You walked by your little garden, which was your pride and hobby, plus the only thing giving the house feel personality. The cottage wasn't like any standard wooden house. You asked it to be made and even pitched in with the workers to put some sweat into it. Afterward, all plans were equally erased like you. The house worked on solar panels, giving you the luxury of some electricity, which came in handy for the winter. A small chicken coop on the side gave you eggs and helped with the crops. It had the piping and whatnot, but overall everything was very eco friendly as you had insisted. You liked the place, and it seemed like a beautiful house to live the rest of your days without a worry. Sure it did get lonely during those sleepless nights. The ones were you thought too much about why your soulmates never cared to find you and reject you straight out. You didn't felt like dying by their hand. You weren't a fool; you knew their reputation, but something inside you gave you some light to hope. The light that you ended up squashing just because. The four of you were better off without each other. You really didn't want to be involved in their jobs and amusements.
You went inside, placing the bucket outside the front of the house and closing the heavy wooden door behind you locking it in the process. Inside the kitchen, you replaced the dying flowers with the new batch and quickly watched your hands to cook some dinner. You lighted the chimney in the living room, making the house feel warm and snuggly while putting some music on. You had taken off your shoes at the door and were parading around the house in fluffy socks, which made you slide into the kitchen as you danced like no one was watching.
As you stirred the pot and dropped more spices and ingredients into it, you heard a light tapping against the window at the kitchen side. Being in the forest had made you immune to the peculiar noises and the groans of the house when it was cold outside. You were pretty much anti-jump scare, but you were still new, so it was a work in progress.
You cleaned your hands on your apron and made your way to the window. You wanted isolation, but you weren’t completely crazy to be all alone in the woods. That’s why you made a friend.
“Well, hello there, big guy! How was your day today?” You opened the window, letting in the medium-sized fluffy black cat and closing it after he was inside.
You received a mewl as the cat rubbed himself against your legs and jumped on the turned dining chair. The kitchen and the dining room were fused, so you were sitting and reading while keeping an eye on dinner.
“Wow, taking my place? You’re rich, you know that?” The cat almost seems to shrug, giving you another mewl and licking his paws.
You smiled, shaking your head and focusing on dinner.
After everything was done, you washed the dishes and cleaned the surfaces. Just because you had a cat didn’t mean you wanted to give the mice a reason to come in. You rubbed the back of your neck, squeezing the spot as you walked towards your bathroom to wash up. The ball of black fluff eagerly following behind you to enter your room.
“You just want to get on my bed, don’t you? Here I was thinking you wanted to accompany me,” the cat meowed, jumping on the bed and kneading the folded blankets.
You chuckled, lighting the small fireplace inside the room. You turned to your vanity, picking your night clothes and turning to bathe. The warm water did help you relax more, maybe you shouldn’t carry the bucket with one arm. But the flowers you picked were worth it.
You came into the room towel in your hair and dressed in a robe. Only to stop abruptly, eyes widening at the fact that a man was sitting on your bed petting your cat like it was the most normal thing. He didn’t turn to look at you, and you quietly walked back, towel still in hand, but not far. You bumped into a hard chest, and if you hadn’t turned around to look, you would’ve thought it was the bedroom door. You gasped really scared at the fact that there were two men inside your bedroom, and you hadn’t even heard them come in. The man in front of you grinned joyfully and took a step towards you. Your eyes immediately went to the window in your room, and before you knew it, your feet had carried you there.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you” the cliche rolled off one of their tongues, making you annoyed and irked despite the adrenaline rush.
You turned glaring, and that’s when spotted the third man on the other of the room leaning against your vanity with a book in hand. This was bad. Really bad. It had been a short couple of years, but you could see the resemblance. They had found you.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, you’re quite hard to find” the man with the slicked-back hair closed the book looking at you with cold black eyes and the ghost of a smile. One, you didn’t return.
As he spoke the tall and pale, magenta hair one took two steps toward you placing his hand on his waist. You took a step back, eyeing him warily. You didn’t smile or showed any joy at the fact that your soulmates had actually found you. You didn’t felt the overflowing love people used to say you would for having more than one soul mark. Instead, all you felt was cold and afraid for your life, fear running icily in your veins. Despite having a nen ability, you knew little of it ,and you could feel the aura they were letting off. It didn’t reassure you. On the contrary, it made you feel like cornered prey.
“What do you want?” Your voice could be considered an authoritative whisper as it flowed shakily pass your lips.
There was a moment of silence, and then the one dressed as a clown laughed merrily at your question. You could see amusement slip through the cold expression from the man that had spoken before.
“Danchou, I thought she would be smart,” the clown asked, looking to the man to you.
Your eyes hardened, annoyed, but still, you said nothing. The only person who hasn’t spoken was the long black hair one petting your cat—that fluffy traitor.
“Well, maybe she doesn’t recognize us. That gives us the chance to introduce ourselves. My name’s Chrollo Lucilfer.”
“Hiso-“
“I know who you are, who all of you are,” you interrupted, looking at all three of them, making the clown arch a brow in interest. “That doesn’t answer what you’re doing here or what do you want” you were angry and scared, nervously looking into their eyes.
“My dear darling, well, that’s easily answered. We’re here to take you home, make you happy, and all the in-betweens,” the clown expressed, giving you a playful feeling. He was waiting for you to make a move so he could jump at you. They all were.
“Thank you, but I am home. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I would like to sleep, so if you could just leave?” You have them a sardonic smile hoping against hope they would accept the rejection and actually leave. It was a fool's wish.
“But soulmates are supposed to be together,” the man with long black hair finally spoke. His voice monotone and calm. It made your skin crawl. Oh, hell, no.
He finally turned to look at you, his big black eyes almost swirling and enchanting, a manipulator at its finest. You looked to the side, avoiding him.
“Then I could only assume that you three have found your soulmates. You’re together.”
“But it gets oh so lonely without you, little fruit” Hisoka was done playing from afar and slowly walked closer to you.
This made your bloodlust flare in a warning. They all got goosebumps just looking at it, feeling the sheer intention. It wasn’t as developed as theirs, but the fact that you weren’t afraid to push them away made their paints tight.
Hisoka let out a low groan, eyes half-lidded and looking at you with a perverted smile. You looked at your cat; you could get him later, and they were smart enough to survive. Then the towel in your hand and as Hisoka came to stand closer to you, you gripped the towel hard and threw it at him, covering his face for a brief moment that allowed you to pass him. They knew you weren’t a fighter, heck you had run from them in fear. It made you a smart coward in their eyes, but they weren’t expecting you to be so quick-witted and resourceful. They should have with you living in the middle of the forest and all. You slipped into the short hallway, feeling the breeze of something spearing near your face but missing you. It made you run even faster into the living room. What you weren’t expecting was the sudden failure of your body.
The minute you slipped into the hallway, Illumi had launched several needles your way. Even though some missed their mark, one hitting you square in the back was enough. You crumbled to the floor, clutching the small sofa and leaning on it as if you were crying. You might as well be—the intense pain coming from the center of your spine emitting pulse-like electricity. The stinging sensation made a couple of fears fall down. It left you breathless.
The trio calmly made their way into the living room, looking at your slumped form.
“Soulmates are meant to be together, with time you’ll understand. Staying with us is best for you.” Illumi was crouching near your form, grabbing your arms and pulling you to lean on him instead as he petted your hair for comfort. You tried to move away or do something to get out of his cold embrace, but each attempt was met with more pain. You whimpered.
“That was a rush. It makes me wonder...~” Hisoka groaned obscenely behind Illumi, talking to Chrollo.
“She does have spirit. That could prove to be a problem.”
“Oh~ but I don’t want to break her yet. Nice toys are so hard to come by these days.”
Your sniffles cut through their banter. Your form was trembling on Illumi’s lap as he kept petting your hair.
“Don’t move” Illumi’s hand slipped to your back, and you felt the sting of the needle being plucked. Your body relaxed, letting out a sigh and breathing greedily, but still shaking. The phantom pain made you involuntarily cling to Illumi’s arms for comfort, which made the assassin’s heart flutter. It was proof that you needed them, they just had to show you.
“We should show her how much she needs us” Illumi slightly turned to look at the other two, still holding you to his chest. His face expressionless as he spoke, but the excitement in his eyes can’t be denied.
Hisoka’s eyes gleamed, his tongue coming out to slowly lick his lips as he approached Illumi and crouched down close to the two of you.
“Hmmm, splendid idea, we have to show our little flower what she’s been missing all this time” Hisoka took a strand of your hair, twirling it and pulling slightly.
“Then it’s decided,” Chrollo’s voice felt like the judge giving the verdict to seal your fate away.
Hisoka didn’t wait for Illumi, he simply took you from his arms, bridal style and clutched you tightly to his chest. As if you were some long lost heirloom, he just found and couldn’t part with. You struggled a bit, jerking in his grasp, but the recent pain had left your muscles tender and sore.
Fighting was encouraged by them but had been diminished with their antics.
The way to your room felt like a death row walk, and you couldn’t help but keep wiggling pathetically in Hisoka’s strong arms. He looked down at you, his yellow half-lidded eyes were already a telltale of what’s to come. He bit his lips when you gave him your best wide doe eyes, and you swore he sped walk, feeling the vibration of a suppressed moan deep in his chest.
He brought you down on the bed, tenderly like a lover would on their first time. Your tired body succumbed to the comfort of the mattress and the warmth of the sheets. Hisoka lowered himself, pressing his body to yours and letting you feel his arousal hot in his trousers. Alarmed, you tried once more to move, but he brought his face close to your ear.
“Don’t worry, little one, we’ll be gentle….at least this time.” He bit your earlobe, kissing the spot to soothe the sting “Mmmm, but do forgive me if I just can’t help it~” he moaned slowly, grinding his hips into yours dragging the length up and down your thighs.
You whimpered and brought your hands up to his chest, pushing him as best as you could. He grinned and sat up, still hunched over you. Looking deep into your eyes, he took his shirt off, never cutting off the eye contact. Hisoka then took your hands, trying to push off his thighs and placed them on his chiseled chest, dragging them to touch him. He moaned obscenely, and you couldn’t help but blush at his well-built frame. Your hands felt the muscles contract and relax as your fingers, guided by him, gingerly touched every single spot. Hisoka bit his lower lip, looking down at you. You haven’t even noticed he had let go of your hands, and you were freely roaming, touching so softly his chest, his stomach...it made it all the more difficult to not take you right here.
He didn’t want to scare you; after all, this was the beginning of countless nights and days of pleasure to come. Your red nose, puffy eyes, and pouty lips made him hot. As your fingers grazed his nipple ever so softly, he bursted, throwing his head back and to moan loudly. You retracted your hand alarmed, and that’s when you noticed you had been almost lying down on top of Chrollo’s lap. The man’s fingers were tangled in your locks as he massages your head.
“Hisoka, you’re going to scare her away being so loud,” Illumi said from behind Hisoka. His face on leaning over his shoulder and his hands grabbing his hips. Hisoka’s hand came up to caress Illumi’s cheek, and he once more looked down at you through glazed and sensual eyes.
“Mmm, I just can’t help it. She’s so innocent...those eyes...It turns me on~” his hips jerked up quickly, grinding against you.
“Make her feel good first,” Illumi whispered in Hisoka’s ear, making eye contact with you, as he kissed the clown’s neck.
Hisoka crawled back, his hands softly running down your thighs. Chrollo unmade the knot holding your robe closed, and uncovered your body to them. You gasped, remembering you had just showered and had nothing but your dignity. The sight of your skin glowing under the dim moonlight coming from the window mixed with the reds and oranges from the crackling fire made their mouths water. Your squirming was pitiful at best, hands trying to grab the robe and close it, but Chrollo snatched your wrists pinning them down beside your head. He lowered his face closer to you and dive into your lips. His locks coming to the sides of his face and his soft lips molding against yours. For a moment, you forgot who these men were. Their sweet caresses here and there as Hisoka brought his face to nuzzle your stomach leaving kisses and marks wherever his lips touch. Chrollo took your alarmed gasp as an opportunity letting his tongue inside to explore. He groaned when you trying to escape him, lightly bumped into his arousal. He let your lips go, both of you breathing heavily.
He wanted more. "You are the greatest jewel I have ever stolen" he muttered his minty breath fanning over your abused lips.
Hisoka lowered all the way in between your legs, but you self-consciously closed them from him. He pouted like a kid who had seen his new toy but couldn't have it. Illumi pried them open, putting everything on display. Hisoka chuckled darkly, his hands rubbed your thighs and knees, and then they rested on the bed. Seeing your chance, you attempted to close them once more, but couldn’t. Looking up, you saw Hisoka smirking at you with a dark knowing look. He did it and now you could see the pink substance sticking your legs open to the bed.
“Bungee gum, love, has the capabilities of both gum and rubber.” His face came closer to your core, you could feel his excited breath, and it gave you goosebumps. He moaned bitting and kissing the inside of your thighs “I can’t wait to see your beautiful nen. The thought makes my pants so tight~” he licked his lips and dived into your entrance.
You moaned a bit overwhelmed at the sensation of his tongue, sucking and exploring inside without a care. The slurping sounds made you blush even harder. Still, you couldn’t deny the arousal building up, or the knot in your stomach tightening even more. At the same time, Chrollo and Illumi took it upon themselves to suck on your chest. Their teeth grazed your nipples, with the danger of biting down, and your back arched perfectly, allowing them more access to your perked nipples.
The pleasure was overriding all the red flags and alarms going off in your head, not too long ago. It was making you pliant, your heated body melting into their touches. You bucked your hips into Hisoka, and his hands came to rest on your hips, making you whine. He smiled, his tongue licking a slow and torturous strip up your slit ending on your clit. He latched on to your bud, eliciting a whine, brows furrowing at the electric feeling surging through your body.
Then something snapped inside you; you shut your eyes, letting out a loud moan, your body shaking as pleasure rolled all over your body. Faintly you heard Hisoka moaned equally loud, slurping all your liquids like he was starved. While still in your high, you didn’t notice Hisoka take off the rest of his clothes, his arousal standing proud. He crawled back on you, taking your knees and lodging himself between them.
Chrollo caressed your cheek, petting your hair. He lowered to give your forehead a tender kiss. “It’ll only hurt for a moment, (Y/N)”
Your eyes widened when you felt Hisoka’s length prodding at your entrance.
“W-wait,” you slurred, but he entered you gently, moaning at the warmth and slick coating him, beckoning him further into your depths.
You cried out as he went further inside until he was buried to the hilt. He keened in satisfaction, waiting a bit, and soaking up your walls’ sensation spasming around him.
“You’re so tight…so warm, mmm, it feels sooo good~” his hips started to slowly move.
Illumi, went behind Hisoka, kissing his neck and leaving marks all over. Meanwhile, Chrollo couldn’t have enough of your chest. Sucking and biting all he could, hands grabbing both your mounds and squeezing, decorating your skin in purples and reds. You mewled at all the sensations, eyes gleaming with unshed tears.
“Make her cum” Illumi whispered to Hisoka loud enough for you to hear. Hisoka grabbed your hips, speeding up, leaving you breathless, hips bucking, and meeting his thrusts.
“Mmmm, (Y/N)…I love that look in your eyes~” he moans thrusting even faster, your slick making it easier for him to slip in and out. Illumi went down where the two of you met and started to suck on your clit. You went crazy, the pleasure too much to contain it. “Arghh, she’s getting tighter…I can’t…” Hisoka moaned, burying himself deeper. One of his hands gripped your hip hard, surely to bruise, while the other held back Illumi’s hair as he sucked on you.
Suddenly the forming knot in your stomach tightened until hot white pleasure exploded through you. You squealed, liquids gushing around Hisoka, making his hips stutter, feeling your walls spams around him. He came, bursting inside you as your walls milked him for what his worth.
“Take it…Take it all~” Hisoka gasped, moaning breathlessly, his hips dragging out the orgasm.
Hisoka pulled out, making you mewl. The oversensitivity and tenderness were a bit too much. Through half-lidded eyes, you looked as Illumi took Hisoka’s spot, cleaning you up with his tongue. Chrollo stood and shed his coat on top of the vanity, his clothes joining the others on the floor. Illumi’s tongue swirled Hisoka’s cum and yours, lappin everything greedily, he then crawled on you kissing you roughly, making you taste the result of your joining. Your lips separated, leaving a strand of saliva connecting your mouths. With aggressive desperation he hugged you, pulling you flushed against his naked chest feeling how heated you'vemade him. Then you felt yourself being flipped over, Illumi under you.
Alarmed, you moved a bit, but Chrollo grabbed your hips, stilling you. He crawled over you, pulling your robe off of you and kissing your shoulder gently, his hands went softly down your spine giving you shivers. Illumi kissed and bit your neck, making you whimper as you felt his length prodding your entrance.
“It’ll be alright, just enjoy it,” He whispered, his monotone voice breathless as he guided himself into your slit. You mewled at the feeling, and he quietly gasped at your warmth.
Your eyes looked into his deathly ones, watching them swirl with different emotions. Yet, the main one being lust and adoration. His black hair fanning behind him gave him a mystical and beautiful look, he looked majestic, like some forest elf of sorts. You bit your lip holding back the moan. That’s when you felt a bite on your left butt cheek.
“Sorry, you look good enough to eat~” Hisoka drawled, and then you felt a finger prod your forbidden hole. You squealed, trying to writhe away, but it only made Illumi hiss in pleasure and grab your hips hard.
“Don’t tease me, (Y/N),” he groaned into your ear, biting down on your shoulder to muffle his moan, as your walls flustered around him.
“N-no, p-please. Not there,” you cried out, the feeling of his finger weird and alien to you.
“It’ll be alright, (Y/N)-Chan, we only want to make you feel good~.”
Hisoka was in front of you, lowering to your eye level, his yellow eyes lidded as he licked his lips and went in for a fevered kiss.
Illumi looking at the two of you kiss so wantonly, started moving his hips gently, biting his own lips at the display. Chrollo added another finger preparing you for him, the scissoring giving you chills. Yet, as Hisoka kissed you tasting himself in your tongue and lips, he distracted you from the prodding. He separated, panting heavily watching as some drool came down the corner of your lip.
He enjoyed your fucked out state.
Without warning, Chrollo entered the tip. It made your eyes widen to feel the burning sensation contrasting your skin with the coldness of fear. You gave a muffled screech, your walls closing on Illumi and making him unable to hold back the groan.
Chrollo slowly pushed inside until he was buried deep. He inhaled shakily, feeling you tighten around his intruding length. The feeling made him groan lowly.
Tears came rolling down your cheeks, you had never felt so full. In one night, the entirety of your virginity was lost.
Hisoka watched as the two men he liked the most, made sweet slow love to you, pulling adorable noises from your swollen and abused lips. He couldn’t help bit his own lip, looking at how they ruined you for the better. He loved the scene.
Chrollo dragged you away from Illumi. His face resting in the crook of your neck as Illumi’s hand grabbed your jiggling mounds, squeezing them and marveling at how they fit perfectly in his hands. You were made for them and only for them. Your body hasn’t known pleasure before, and you had clearly neglected yourself, you needed them as much as they craved you.
Hisoka came close to where you and Illumi met, his tongue coming out to lick his lips as his fingers came to rub on your hooded pearl, holding back the whine of pleasure. Everything was becoming too much. You convulsed a bit, the pleasure overwhelming you.
“She’s getting tighter,” Chrollo grunted, speeding his thrusts.
“Mmm, are you close, (Y/N)-Chan, hmm?” Hisoka got close to your face, his lips close to yours, teasing, “Are you going to cum on Illumi, like a good girl~? Milk them both for all they’re worth~?”
He kissed you, rubbing harder and faster, and you moaned into the kiss. He slipped his tongue in and sucked on yours, still tasting his arousal’s tanginess on you. That was the moment you became undone, your liquids squirting around Illumi. Both men thrust faster, almost competing with each other until Illumi came inside you, ropes of cum filling you up until he deemed it was enough.
Chrollo moaned lowly, biting your neck to muffle it as his cum shot into you, filling you on the other side.
Hisoka bit your lip and separated for air. Your eyes were almost closing, body shaking with the aftershocks of pleasure still rolling up and down your body. Chrollo pulled out, his cum dripping down the back of your thighs, making him lick his lips in satisfaction. Illumi pulled you abruptly towards him, making you land on his chest. Hisoka was surprised and annoyed that he couldn’t watch your tongue lolled out, and your lidded eyes look at him.
Illumi grab your face with both hands and brought you in for a passion-filled kiss. It was aggressive and possessive the way his lips pressed into yours until you both couldn’t breathe. He let you go, pulling out and laying you down on your side. Your body was tired, filled to the brim, marked, and pounded to their heart’s delight. Chrollo pulled a blanket over you as your eyes finally closed in exhaustion.
“Mmm, that was delightful. Our little fruit might not be as innocent as we thought~” Hisoka sat by you, caressing your cheek as you sleep.
“We should move her in the morning. She shouldn’t stay alone in the woods.” Illumi sat at the other side of the bed, calling out to the black fluff, making his way into the room.
“We shouldn’t forsake this place. It could be useful when we need a place to get away for some time” Chrollo put on his pants and dressed in his coat, leaving the shirt of out the equation as he leaned against the vanity.
“Mmm, vacations here with our darling pet should be divine~” Hisoka kissed you, making you snuggle cutely into your blanket. He warmly smiled at you. “Danchou, let’s keep her here. She doesn’t exist in the world, and our line of work is not the safest. She’s still hasn’t shown us her nen, but I’m afraid she’s not as developed as we are. She’s not ripe yet.”
“Hisoka is right. Bringing her with us will only endanger her. Illumi, can you persuade her to stay?”
Illumi sighed, going to his clothes and pulling out a single needle. He went to Hisoka’s side, his eyes looking down at you with warmth. He sat by your head, almost on Hisoka’s lap, the clown giving a suggestive buckle against Illumi’s back, making him annoyed.
Illumi caressed your face, pulling your locks away from your forehead.
“She won’t be able to leave the forest, without us or our consent. She’ll stay here as she has but will always expect us. The moment her mind thinks of leaving, she will have the most painful headache. The more she fights it, the worse it’ll get until she stops.”
Illumi then pulled you to face him. Your close eyes made you look so calm and sweet, and your puffy lips called out to him. He then pressed the tip of the nen infused needle to the middle of your forehead and pushed it in. You whimpered in your sleep, brows furrowing in pain and discomfort as the needle lodged inside your cranium. Then as quickly as the sting had come, it went away, leaving you blissfully unaware.
The three men then showered in your bathroom and slept all around you smothering with their heat until morning came. Arms clutching you possessively as if the minute they let go, you would fade away.
You woke up with a start. Heavily panting and looking around to see if you were alone. Maybe everything was a bad wet dream, and they hadn’t found you yet. Your first thought was to leave this place that you had constructed and built with sweat and tears. It pained you, but having them found you, was too much of a risk. So you turned, placing your feet on the floor and wincing at your lower region’s discomfort, in all the lower part of your body. You whimpered but made your way to the mirror on your vanity.
The sight almost made you scream.
Deep red and purple marks were littered all over your neck and chest. You brought your hand to cover your mouth as tears rolled down your cheeks. You looked down to see bite marks and bruises all over your stomach, hips, and thighs. You took your robe from the floor and put it on tightening the knot with shaky hands. You opened your bedroom door and quietly walked to the living room.
The embers of last night’s fire were still slightly lit; the windows were opened, letting in the fall breeze. But the place was empty, no well built handsome devils were in sight.
You sighed in relief. At least you were alone was once more, and they may never come back.
That’s when the front door opened, making you jump startled. You stayed in place watching as Hisoka came in carrying a hay woven basket with eggs, he took off his heels at the door placing them beside your shoes and looked up at your still form.
“Good morning, (Y/N)-Chan~” he brightly smiled at you, eyes closed in joy as he made his way to you. You didn’t move, baffled by what was going on. Hisoka placed a kiss on top of your head and went into the kitchen.
As soon as he left your space, Illumi came through the door, carrying your black cat in one arm and a bucket with water in his hand. He did the same as Hisoka putting his shoes beside his and the bucket near the kitchen. The black fluff jumped down his arms and trotted joyfully towards your legs, Illumi followed suit. He took your hand, kissing your forehead and bringing you into the kitchen. He pushed you gently to sit on the dining chair, and you winced a bit at the discomfort and slight pain.
Everything was tender.
“I’ll run you a warm bath,” his monotone voice and void swirling eyes gave you shivers, but his intentions were sweet. You nodded, still unsure of this picture, and he left you.
“I’ll make us some breakfast; you need to be strong if we want to have more fun~” Hisoka winked suggestively, and you hugged yourself unconsciously. “Now, now don’t be like that, darling.” he came closer with a spatula in hand, his big strong arms coming to cage you between the chair and him.
“I know you enjoyed it~” he gave you a peck on the lips and went back to cooking.
You looked at the door expecting Chrollo to join this weird play/reality show, but he didn’t come in. Curiosity got the better of you.
“Where’s...”
“Danchou? Hmm, he was busy and had to leave, but he left us to take care of you~”
“Is he...coming back?” You asked shyly, hating how you already missed the man or the fact that this domestic scene made you feel peaceful and right.
“Huh?” Hisoka looked at you, your shy demeanor let him know all you were thinking. He beamed with glee, you were already theirs. “He’ll be back tonight, maybe he’ll bring desserts~”
You hummed in response. Your eyes looked at the door, and a scheme came to mind. With Hisoka distracted and Illumi away, you could run. Run fast and not look back.
Your hands gripped the edge of the chair, and you almost took impulse to stand and go. Hisoka side-eyed you, his yellow eyes beaming with joy. You were such a fighter, he just wanted to ravish you now. The thought of you wanting to run made his pants tight.
“Do try it~” he said casually not even looking at you “I want to see how far you’ll get”
At that moment, Illumi came back, and you looked like a kid caught with her hand in the cookie jar. He knew what you wanted to do, your intentions were clear in your eyes. It pained him a bit, but he knew you were acclimating still. He had to be patient.
You stood, and both men got ready. The tension could be cut with a knife. You looked at Illumi and went to him, seeming a bit defeated. He slightly let out a sigh in relief as he grabbed your hand and guided you into the hallway.
“Good girl,” Illumi said, pulling you inside the bathroom and closing the door behind him, snapping the lock to seal your fate.
Fresh linen, daisies, and a hint of honey
Draco Malfoy x female reader AU
Warnings: SMUT (18+ minors dni), a little fluff and maybe a swear word or two?
Summary: Where Draco has a crush on a girl and becomes her partner for a potions assignment.
Masterlist
*Draco’s POV*
The things I would do to that girl if she would just give me the time of day. I’m not quite sure why it happened, one day I noticed (y/n) walking down the hall with her friends and ever since I can’t seem to shake the image of her from my head, it’s no question she’s beautiful.
I have plenty of girls throwing themselves at me but why isn’t she? I mean I am Draco Malfoy.
The witch has never even glanced in my direction and I know she knows who I am, we’ve had many classes together over the years and well, everyone knows who I am. I would never say it out loud but it truly bothers me that (y/n) seems to be the only person in Hogwarts who doesn’t care about being in my presence. It makes it much worse that I think I may even have a tiny crush on the girl.
***
There she is, walking into our potions class right past me like I don’t even exist. I have to stop myself from staring at her for most the class. The girl makes it so hard for me to concentrate and she doesn’t even know it, luckily I’m godlike at potions or who knows what my marks would look like.
I’m not sure what it is about her that pulls me in so much. (Y/n)’s easily the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen but I don’t think that’s the only thing keeping my eyes on her. She’s also very kind, always smiling at every twit she comes in contact with and she seems to have this air around her that just reels you in.
“(Y/l/n), since you’re struggling so much you’ll work with Malfoy.”
Did I just hear Snape correctly?
I see her pick up her belongings and make her way over to the empty seat right next to mine. As soon as she sits down all I smell is fresh linen, daises, and something sweet. She turn to look at me with a small smile on her face and stretches out her hand.
“I’m (y/n) (y/l/n), we’ve never properly met.”
I look at her hand, a bit shocked at first but after a second I’m taking it into my much larger one. Her skin is soft.
“I’m Malfoy, Draco Malfoy.” I smirk at the pretty girl in front of me.
“I know.” She smiles wider. “I’m sorry in advance for how bad I am at potions.” Her cheeks turn pink and she turns back towards the front, listening to the rest of Snape’s instructions on our assignment. We had a week to figure out how to make amortentia, a powerful love potion.
As the class was coming to an end (y/n) turns back to me “So I was thinking we could actually start the assignment tonight? I could meet you in the library once my classes are over for the day?”
“Sounds good to me (y/l/n), I’ll see you later.” I wink at her and start heading to my next class.
***
Finally classes are over, all I could think about was how tonight would go and I may be slightly excited to see (y/n) again. I walked to the library as quickly as possible and to my surprise she was already at the entrance looking slightly disappointed.
“Hey (y/l/n), what’s with the long face?”
“It seems everyone had the same idea, there isn’t a single work table open.” She has the cutest little frown on her face.
“Well if you’re okay with it, we could always go to my dorm. I have a private one, being a prefect and all.” I like the idea of having her in my room but I wouldn’t want her to feel uncomfortable. She seems to think about it for a second and then shrugs her shoulders.
“Lead the way Malfoy.”
Once we get to my dorm we start setting up all the different ingredients and materials we’ll need on my work table. I could be imagining it but I swear I catch her glancing at me every once in a while out the corner of my eye. Not that I’m any better.
After the third time the potion explodes she lets out a frustrated sigh.
“Hey it’s okay, we still have all week to figure it out.”
“I know I just wish I wasn’t so useless at potions, maybe then we would’ve made a little progress.” She’s pouting.
“If it makes you feel any better, you’re a way better partner than Crabbe or Goyle.” She starts to laugh and I can’t help but smile at how beautiful she looks. Once she settles down she still has a little smile on her face and I feel good knowing I’m the one who caused it.
“I should get going, it’s past curfew.” She says starting to put away the materials but I lightly grab her hand to stop her.
“You could just leave everything and we could work here from now on.” I scratch my head, nervous to hear what she says. She smiles and nods her head in agreement, picking up her bag from my bed.
“Well I should go.”
“Come on, I’ll walk you to your room.” I think I see her blush but it’s too dark in the hallway to be sure. We make our way to her room in silence, the only sound is our quiet footsteps as we approach her door.
“Thank you for walking me back Draco.” My breath hitches in my throat, no one calls me Draco other than mum and father but it sounds like velvet coming from her lips. I must look as stunned as I feel because then she quickly adds, “I mean Malfoy.” (Y/n) looks so nervous thinking I’m angry but in reality I just want to hear her say it again so I just shake my head.
“It’s okay, you can call me Draco.” This time I’m positive I see a blush on her cheek.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, have a good night (y/n).” I smirk at the blushing girl.
“Goodnight Draco.” Before I even know what’s happening she stands on her tiptoes, grabs my shoulders and plants a short kiss on my cheek, with a little smirk of her own she turns and disappears behind the door.
I smile the entire walk back to my room.
***
When I walk into potions the next day (y/n)’s already sitting at the table I usually sit at. As soon as she sees me she smiles brightly making me smile back.
“Hi Draco, we still on for today?”
“Yeah of course, you can just come to my room whenever you’re ready.”
“All right, I’ll probably change into comfier clothes before heading over.” She says, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her in anything other than her school uniform and robes.
***
I’m laying in my bed waiting for (y/n) and I can’t help but think about her kissing my cheek last night. What did it mean? I decided she was probably just being nice but I wouldn’t hate it if she did it again.
Finally she knocks on the door and I open it up to see her clutching her books to her chest, smiling, as per usual. Once she steps in my room I see she’s wearing jeans and a comfy looking black tshirt, even in such simple clothes the girl outshines everyone.
Once again we worked for hours on the potion and still no progress. However I really enjoyed myself, hanging out with (y/n) was more fun than I could have imagined. She’s funny and so sweet, I don’t know that I could ever grow tired of being near her.
Just like last night I walked her back to her room and to my pleasure she kissed my cheek again, this time a tad closer to the corner of my mouth.
***
The rest of the week went the same, she’d come to my room, we’d work on the assignment, I’d walk her to her room and then she’d kiss my cheek, a little closer to my lips each night. Now it’s Sunday and we have to turn the potion into Snape tomorrow.
“Draco I think we finally did it! If I put in this last ingredient and it doesn’t explode we’ve done it.”
She drops in the last ingredient and the mix starts to steam. (Y/n) squeals in delight and throws her arms around my neck but before I can even move she let go and starts doing a happy dance around my room making me laugh.
“Go smell the potion before you hurt yourself.” I tell the dancing girl. She makes her way over to the cauldron and takes a big whiff, making my heart pound against my chest.
“I smell apples, expensive cologne, and maybe mint?” I can tell she’s confused. “It smells exactly like you Draco. What does that mean?”
“Amortentia is a love potion, whatever the potion smells like to you is the smell of what, or who, you find most desirable.” I sniff the potion, looking right at (y/n) who’s bright red at this point. “For instance I smell fresh linen, daises, and a hint of honey. Sound familiar?”
The beautiful witch is lost for words as I get closer and closer. When I finally reach her I pull her small body flush against mine, putting my face in the crook of her neck and giving it a feathery light kiss.
“You’re an exact match.” I whisper in her ear making her shudder. I start to pepper light kisses on her neck making her moan softly.
“Let me show you just how much I desire you (y/n).” I pull back to see her reaction. She puts her arms around my neck and pulls me down until her lips are an inch away from my ear.
“Kiss me already Draco.”
It takes exactly one second for me to have her pressed against me again, this time with my lips on hers. I start walking us forward until the back of her legs hit my bed and she falls back, the sight of her laying on my emerald sheets has my pants tightening by the second.
She moves so she’s kneeling on the bed, eyes level with mine. She starts unbuttoning my uniform shirt, her (y/e/c) eyes never looking away from mine. Once she has my shirt all the way off she puts her small hands on my shoulders slowly moving them down my chest until they reach my abs making me groan, her hands are so soft.
I reach for the hem of her shirt, pausing to look at her for permission. She nods so I push the shirt over her head, revealing a black lace bra.
She moves one of her hands behind her back and unclasps the material around her chest, removing a strap from each arm and finally letting it fall to the floor by my feet. I take her in for a while, not quite believing that the girl of my dreams is allowing me to be with her this way.
“You’re beautiful (y/n).” With that my mouth is back on hers, our bare chests pressed together. I skim my tongue on her bottom lip asking for permission when I feel the little minx smirking into the kiss, keeping her lips sealed. Two can play that game, I bring my hand down on her ass causing her to gasp, allowing enough room for my tongue to tangle with hers.
I lightly push her back onto the bed, immediately climbing over her. I start laying kisses down her neck, sucking on the skin, wanting her to remember who made her feel this good. I go lower until I reach her jeans, once I unbutton them I tap her hip so I can slide them off her long legs.
“Are you sure about this love?”
“Hurry up Malfoy.” She demands.
“Yes ma’am.” I hook my finger in her underwear pulling them down as slow as possible just so I could watch her squirm. I haven’t even touched her and she’s already soaked, the thought makes me smirk as I settle in between her legs.
I start kissing the inside of her thighs, placing them behind my shoulders. I leave small marks as I get closer to her core.
“Draco, please. I need you to touch me.” Fuck, that was hot.
“I want you to watch (y/n), if you look away I won’t let you finish, understood?” She nods her head vigorously, eyes locked on mine.
I lick a bold stripe up her slick folds making her grab my hair and let out the sexiest moan I’ve ever heard. This girl is driving me mad and she barely even touched me.
I slowly start tracing figure eights on her clit making her squirm, I put one of my hands flat on her stomach to hold her down, with the other I circle a finger at her entrance before sinking it into her. Her eyes never leaving mine.
She moans my name and I’ve decided I would do this everyday if she allowed me, just so I could hear my name come out her mouth like that.
I sink another finger into her, thrusting them faster as her legs begin to shake. I can tell she’s close, she’s having a hard time keeping her eyes open.
“I’m gonna c-” she let’s go before she can even finish her sentence. She throws her head back screaming my name as I flick my tongue over her. When she comes down from her high I pull my fingers out and she watches as I lick them clean, a small smile on her lips.
I get off the bed taking my pants and boxers off, my dick hitting my stomach. I grab a condom from my drawer but her hand stops me before I rip it open.
“Let me do it.” (Y/n) grabs the condom from my hand and rips the foil open with her teeth, slowly rolling it onto me. Feeling her soft hands on me makes me hiss.
“Are you ready?” I line myself up at her entrance, when she nods her head I push myself in. She’s absolutely soaked. Her legs wrap around my waist as I hold her body as close to mine as possible.
“You feel so bloody good.” I moan into her neck as her nails dig into my back. Her little whimpers encouraging me to go faster.
I grab one of her legs and pull it over my shoulder, the new angle making her scream. I smirk at how thoroughly fucked the sweet girl below me looks as I wrap my hand around her delicate throat, her tits bouncing up and down with the force of my thrusts.
I push her leg down and flip her body so she’s laying on her stomach. I don’t even have to say anything, she’s already lifting her hips off the bed and parting her legs so I could fit inbetween them. I’m going to marry this girl one day.
With her ass in the air like that I can’t help but smack it before slamming back into her. (Y/n) buries her face in my sheets as I reach around to rub her clit.
“I’m close Draco.”
“Cum for me love. Let go, I’ve got you.” And that’s all it take for her to be pushed over the edge. Her walls tighten around me as she moans my name, my thrusts become sloppy and I’m seeing stars as I cum into the condom.
Once I get myself cleaned up I go back to the bed and pull the tired girl close to my chest, kissing the top of her head.
“Let me take you on a date tomorrow.” I break the silence.
“I thought you’d never ask.”
empress of the first water // Zhongli x Reader (4)
Word Count: ~2.8k
Palace/Harem Imperial Drama AU: You are a princess, soon-to-be-Empress, and Zhongli is the teacher invited by the royal court to show you the ropes before you ascend to the throne after a royal tragedy.
Notes: female!reader (she/her), Zhongli/Reader, Zhongli POV, mutual pining ofc, fake politics, can I call this slow burn yet
[Previous] [Next]
Chapter 4 Synopsis: Of the secrets that people keep, how much can they say without saying anything about it at all?
.
.
.
You are falling for your tutor. That much, at least, is clear to you. Your quickened heart rate, the way your heart flutters when he smiles, and how your mood lifts when he praises you-- if wisdom is to know thyself, then you consider yourself wise enough to know that you see Zhongli xiansheng as more than just a teacher.
But what of him? You wonder, how does he think of you? Does he know what he means to you? Does he feel the same?
“My lady?" Amber asks you, when you dip your head underneath the rose-infused waters of your bath. "What is wrong?”
“Nothing,” you reply back quickly, hugging your knees to your chest. You take a glance at the mauve coat that Zhongli had left on your shoulders and think about how it will still smell like him.
Amber can only look at you in mild concern when you bury your heated face into your hands and try not to think of kind eyes, a warm embrace, and a gentle voice.
(But you do anyway.)
.
.
.
.
Zhongli finds himself talking more freely than ever in your presence, especially now that the two of you have made it a habit of walking around the compound or drinking tea to pass the time together. He talks about fantastical things or expands on random trivia he thinks you would enjoy, even though he finds himself more often than not overindulging.
Your eyes are bright and alert when he tells you about the folktales he had learned when he was younger, so he tells you as many as you can in the cold, wintry months. Under the cozy kotatsu imported over from Inazuma, Zhongli shares slices of mandarin with you as he retells the history of the Qilin to you-- a mythical creature whose stone statues stand at guard in front of the main compounds of the palace.
“In many stories, the Qilin is sacred pets of the gods and rank highly only below the dragon and the phoenix,” Zhongli says, accepting the last slice of fruit you slide into his hands. "It’s said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler."
“I see…” You listen to him attentively, hands absently clearing the table of the orange peels without saying a word. You let out a breath of laughter as you joke, “Hopefully, if I pray hard enough, the Qilin might gift their presence when I ascend to the throne.”
“Nonsense,” Zhongli replies immediately. “If the qilin does exist, you do not need prayer for the qilin to appear before you, as benevolent as you are, my Princess.” He takes the slice and brings it to his lips to taste the sweetness of the mandarin, catching a glimpse at the way you hide your smile behind your hand.
“You have a way with words as usual,” you tell him. “You spoil me with praises, xiansheng; how ever will I survive without them now?” You bemoan, laughing afterwards. Though he knows you’re joking--surely-- he still feels his heart tremble at your words. It is in these moments that he feels keenly how it is to be Amber, abashed by the praise that flows freely from your lips and by the fondness that rings true through the way you speak. To be at the center of your attention is something that Zhongli understands very well to be addicting.
It is only when Zhongli hears the light rapping of knuckles on wood does he realize how long he has spoken and how late it is.
"My apologies," Zhongli says, surprised from his thoughts to bow his head (you fussed at him about apologizing before, but even with your kind reprimands, it is hard for him to kick the habits ingrained in him). "I didn't mean to dominate the conversation this entire time. It's even time for supper--"
"Bamboo Shoot Soup," you pipe up instead, and he can only look up at you stunned as you thank the maid. She sets down the pair of utensils in front of the two of you and clears the table to make space for the large metal hotpot. "It's your favorite dish, isn't it?” You say cheekily, “I thought it was a perfect dish to eat during the cold weather."
What are the protocols to eating dinner with the royal family? Zhongli thinks to himself warily, feeling wildly as though he is constantly stepping out of line despite his learned nature. Still, you would scold him for his distancing, so Zhongli decides to do as the both of you please, as improper as it may be, and waits to be served.
The bamboo soup is beautifully slow-cooked, the broth milky white; just taking a waft of the aroma is enough for him to know that the meat is tender and the bamboo shoots are soaked to the center with flavor. The warmth that pervades is partly due to the fresh heat of the soup but also from the fact that you had remembered a detail he shared in passing. (He says ‘in passing’ but he had gone into detail about where to procure the best ingredients for each component of the meal while you listened to him with eager nods. The bamboo shoots, he recognizes, are from Qingce Village. Did you remember even the smallest details from your conversation when he speaks?) Like many other times before, he is speechless. It seems as though you are constantly surprising him-- for the better.
"What happens next?"
Zhongli blinks, the steam from his bowl rising up to his face. "Pardon?"
"Oh, never mind! We should eat first!" You say, smiling widely in a way that makes his heart leap. You pick up your chopsticks and click them together playfully. "But tell me what happens next in the story later on, Zhongli-xiansheng."
"One day you'll find yourself someone who listens to you and you'll talk their ear off."
Zhongli remembers Guizhong telling him this time and time again, though he never believed in it. He is old-fashioned, he always replies back. He is overly burdened by the expectations of his family and passionate in things that most others cannot care to relate to. How would he know that someday, as proof of the wisdom (or perhaps abundance of hope and love) that Guizhong held, he would find someone who cared enough to listen and look at him as though he knew the meaning of life itself?
The bright-eyed gaze you shoot at him lasts only a moment, and perhaps you don't even know the magnitude of your gesture, but Zhongli feels his chest burn nonetheless with gratitude and soften at the kindness you have shown him. He reaches out to place his hand gently on yours. "Thank you," he says, squeezing your hand. "I'll be sure to not lose my place in the story then so you can hear the rest of it."
He blinks when you look at him, frozen and wide-eyed, and that is when he retracts his hand, feeling as embarrassed as you look. "Ah, my apologies again--"
"No, it's-- it's alright," you stammer, looking down at your bowl. Zhongli feels his face redden and he drops his gaze as well. "But yes, you better remember! I'm counting on you!"
"Yes-- yes, of course," he says, clearing his throat. "It would be my pleasure to." Before Zhongli can wallow in mortification, he hears the beginnings of your laugh and looks up to see your smile as wide as ever. And just like that, he can feel himself be at ease again, just as you have always made him feel with your presence.
"Perhaps next time," he says, a small smile dancing on his lips, "my lady can tell me a story instead."
"Only if you fill in the details I missed," you quip back easily, and he laughs.
Even with an impeccable memory, Zhongli still cannot remember the last time he has ever laughed so easily and so readily as though he could never run out of laughter. He thinks of quiet hours in his study, pouring over pages of text without speaking till his voice grows hoarse from disuse. He remembers days of entertaining guests who never truly listened to what he was saying, and he finds that he is the happiest he has ever been for a long time.
He has you to thank for that.
This is why he responds back, with a soft reverence that is reserved only for you. "Of course." He returns your smile with his own. "I would be honored to, my Princess."
.
.
.
Reverence should be a tone well-practiced and used in the royal court, but when Zhongli stands aside during the proceedings, he hears very little of it directed toward you. You have half of the court talking over you despite your grace, and he can clearly see your patience wear thin when your presence goes unacknowledged by one of the court officials.
"My studies have been going steadily," you speak unto the crowd, clearly and powerfully, as though you have always known how to command attention. Projecting your voice, you maintain your gaze on all of them as you speak. Zhongli can see from the way your hands clench at your side that despite your display, fear has not left you, and for that, his pride for you seems to overflow.
"With the xiansheng, I can foresee being able to replace my great uncle for the time before the end of this year," you say. "I will have prepared myself dutifully until the time has come--"
"The end of this year?" One of the nobles exclaims in protest, making you pause. "How would you be ready at the end of the calendar when you have started lessons, not even yesteryear?"
"I can't imagine the magnitude of power placed upon the shoulders of the inexperienced,” another one drawls. “Perhaps, ah, the Princess will consider taking a husband to make up for it?"
Zhongli doesn't realize he's gripping imprints into the palm of his hands until he goes to raise his hand and realizes they have gone numb from his tension. The nerve of some of the nobles-- some of which he can recognize have never sought to be on your side. He wishes nothing more than to be able to provide them a verbal lashing, but he knows that neither you nor he can do anything at this point in time.
With knowledge comes power, and you do not know enough to utilize the title you have nor the inherent authority that comes with it. Though one day, you will, if he can help it, regardless of what has been expected of him.
It makes his skin crawl to know that many nobles look to him and believe he is on their side. How many times have they requested him to keep you away from the main chambers to check on your great uncle? How many times have they hoped he would provide falsities and ignorance in the guise of guidance so that you would never truly ascend to the throne? Even with the promise of power beyond his wildest dreams, Zhongli cannot bring it to himself to manipulate you in such a manner. Even though his hands are clean, he still cannot help but taste sin on his lips for knowing the harm that exists against you without your knowledge.
When is the right time to inform you, if at all? Is it kind or cruel of him to keep this ploy from you? (Is his judgment even sound, as muddled as it is with his rapidly growing feelings for you?)
You narrow your eyes, your lips pressed in a straight line, but you refrain, once again. And Zhongli feels a burst of pride at your show of restraint and composure fitting of a lady of your status. "Yes, this may be one of the things I will take into consideration, and I appreciate--" Zhongli feels himself tense at the way you spoke, "--the counsel of the court, though I still foresee my way coming to fruition regardless."
There is a stilted silence that follows your words, and you look toward the messenger who has come with the land's grievances in letters. "I believe this matter can be discussed at a later time," you say with finality. "Let us look at the first report from the harbor."
Using what you know from your lessons thus far, you guide the conversation towards solutions for the problems brought to the court by the people. You are too inexperienced to make decisions on your own, gathering opinions from your council; corrupt or not, they know more about managing land than you. But Zhongli sees how you watch carefully as the discussion continues, letting the information sink in so that you can utilize it in the future, and he is reminded again of how far you have come from a princess holding that urn to the prospective empress quietly learning how to lead a country.
(Is it any surprise at all that he is enamored with you?)
Court adjourns after hours, and Zhongli follows you as you leave first, your robes billowing behind you seamlessly as you hold your head up high. The guards bow their heads as you pass by them, your ladies-in-waiting slowly retreating from the room when you arrive, closing the door behind them. The moment everyone is gone, you sigh in relief, your shoulders dropping to a more comfortable height as you stretch your arms and legs.
“I applaud you on your conduct during court,” Zhongli says finally, amused by how nonchalant you act in comparison to how high-strung you are in front of others. “That was an impressive display of authority.” He sees your face flush from the compliment as you stammer out your thanks. He chuckles. "Perhaps I should start getting used to calling you 'Empress’ then, Princess.”
"Yes?" Zhongli replies, confused. "Is that not a title you would like to be referred to?"
"'Princess?'" He hears you echo, turning yourself to him, and Zhongli loses his train of thoughts when he sees your expression with brows pulled together, disconcerted. "Just... 'princess?'"
"No--well, yes..." you say, trailing off. Your hand, out of habit, nervously reaches up to fiddle with your brooch. "I was just thinking you would have normally referred to me a little differently is all."
Zhongli tilts his head slightly in thought as he watches you press your lips together in what he assumes to be in embarrassment. Has he been calling you differently without his knowledge? He doesn’t think so; you have always been the Princess for him, and he, your xiansheng.
But, ah, he thinks, he has not always called you ‘my Princess’ has he? (Astonishing what one word can change.)
For a brief moment, Zhongli’s mind wonders whether he has overstepped his boundary, but he quickly reminds himself with your words, that if you truly did not want him to call you by that, you would tell him. The fact you protested at his recent use of your title… It was the slip of the tongue; Amber has referred to you by the same title, and Zhongli has always, in some form, coveted the same level of intimacy that the two of you possessed. His fondness for you must have seeped into his words, and he would never have anticipated having you reciprocate.
That being said, could you blame him for feeling pleased that you wanted to be referred to as his Princess?
“But 'Princess' is fine,” he hears you say, gathering the composure to sweep your hands down your gown and appear nonplussed. You take out your fan and hold it to your face as you begin to walk toward the study. “I don’t mind it. You should call me as you so wish, I--”
Your laughter is enough as a sign of validation, but then he hears you say, shier than you have ever been, “My xiansheng,” and he thinks his heart balloons until it takes up the entire expanse of his chest with how much affection he feels for you.
"It is soon time for our next lessons," he says, following behind you without pause, "my Princess." And he watches, enamored, as you look back at him with a smile blooming on your face. "Is that... alright with you?"
“Yes,” he says to you, feeling as though that is the only thing he can say. You shoot him another captivating smile and turn, and all Zhongli can do is walk only a step behind you.
.
.
.
And he follows you for as long as you will allow him, hoping his choice to keep the darkness at bay is the right one.
Just in Your Heart {Taylor Swift x ChubbyMale!Reader}
Requested by: @lunchawx Wordcount: 2114 Summary: After five years of dating, you’re finally thinking of making it social-media official. Warnings: Fat shaming.
You weren’t the sort of person that most people would picture Miss Americana herself to date. Taylor Swift had gone out with some of the best looking, or at least according to the media’s standards best looking - men in the world. You didn’t need to go over them. The tabloids did that enough for you on a daily basis. But the point was that you were the opposite of a lot of these men. You weren’t in the entertainment industry. You weren’t rich. You weren’t famous. You didn’t have a six pack or a chiseled chest or that rugged jaw line or any of those things. You had worked your way up to being a curator at a Museum in New York - not one of the biggest ones, mind you, but big enough to where you always had a lot on your plate. You were overweight according to your doctor though you ate healthy and tried to get lots of exercise. And you had next to no social media presence, only followed by your friends and family - not even Taylor as for the most part, you both agreed on keeping you out of the spotlight, much as that sometimes hurt. But then again - you both had been together for five years now, and you weren’t being picked apart by the media. That was nice.
“Do you think that this is folded in enough? I always think of that scene in Sleeping Beauty where they actually fold them in,” Taylor laughed, snapping you out of your thoughts. When you had stopped at the grocery store to get the ingredients for baking night, you of course had seen Taylor on the magazines. Stepping out with new ‘mystery man’ it had reported. It was only her new bodyguard and would be forgotten in a week or so but it was still a bit annoying to be surrounded by rumors of your own girlfriend.
“Yeah, that looks good babe,” You’d say, looking into her bowl. It was cake night in your shared apartment. The whole quarantine thing had the both of you at home a lot more, though you did still have to go to work, so you were trying new hobbies. Baking had been Taylor’s idea, and it was something you had shot down at first considering your weight, but she was so insistant. She had given you those puppy dog eyes you couldn’t resist. Those baby blues had you saying yes every time. “No shells this time?”
“Oh my god, it was one time, let it go,” Taylor laughed, going for the next couple of ingredients. “I don’t think that you put enough chocolate in yours.”
“It’s a light chocolate cake, not a Devil’s Food Cake. I’m still watching my weight, remember?” You kept on whipping the eggs until they were light and fluffy, and then finally folded your own into the rest of the mixture. “This will probably be my lunch tomorrow,” You joked.
“I’ll make you something, don’t worry,” She said, putting a kiss on your cheek, transferring a bit of flour that she had on her nose onto your skin. You laughed and wiped it off. “What were you thinking about?”
“Saw you on the cover of another magazine today,” You said, slipping behind her, taking the chance to run your hands across her waist as you went to grab one of the cake pans you already prepped. “They’re thinking that Greg is your new boyfriend. It’s really throwing them off that you’re not out there dating openly anymore.”
“Oh, that’s hilarious. I’m sure his wife is going to love that,” Taylor laughed, not taking it seriously. Being in the industry since she was a teenager meant that she had to develop that tough skin. You loved that about her. You only wished that you had been able to do that yourself. “Oh, let’s take a picture before we pop these into the oven.”
Always the change of subject. But you gave in, as you always did, giving her a little nod. She pulled out her phone, turned the front camera on, and snapped a picture of her kissing your cheek while the full cake pans were waiting on the counter. You were grinning, you couldn’t help it. Every time that this wonderful, beautiful woman gave you attention, you were fawning for it. You couldn’t wait to make her your wife. Just a little longer. Just getting the ring sized.
And then the pans went into the oven, and you settled back down on the couch, looking for something to watch while waiting for the timers. Taylor went straight to Law and Order. Of course. You even bobbed your head to the theme tune. Her favorite show in the whole world. She cuddled up to you, hand and head resting on your barrel-like chest. When she touched you like this, it was hard to feel insecure. And the way that she looked up at you whenever the screen went dark between scenes - still made you feel like blushing to this day.
Once the timer went off, cake out of the oven, it was the only part of this whole baking thing that you really enjoyed. Decorating. Tongue in cheek, going over the layers with the icing that you had managed to make look tie-dye with different colors. “What do you think, fruit maybe? Some whipped cream?” You looked over to see what she was doing, only to see that she was literally throwing sprinkles on top of the icing. Making a huge mess, but it was cute to see her looking so joyous.
“Whatever you want,” She’d say, bending low, turning the plate to see the other side of the cake, and then threw even more sprinkles. One thing could be said for her method - she was thorough. There was hardly an inch on it that was untouched. You looked back at your own which was looking plain in comparison, and started chopping up some fruit to put on the top. At least give some semblance of it being healthy. That way you wouldn’t feel as guilty when you went to the doctor next and explained what you’ve been eating. “I can’t wait to try yours,” Taylor said, sticking a finger in your spare icing and dabbed some of it on the tip of your nose with a giggle. Her eyes were lit up from the inside out. She looked happy. Truly happy. “Can we take another photo?”
“Can I at least get this off of my nose first?” You laughed. She shook her head no, and this time in the photo, she was licking it right off of you, the cakes on full display in front of you. Your face was scrunched up from the attention on your nose, which made her laugh when she saw it.
“This is really cute. I might even post it,” She teased, tongue in cheek.
“Doubtful,” You chuckled, and grabbed a knife to make the first cuts.
“No, really,” She said, leaning against the counter, looking at the picture on her phone. “We’ve been together five years now and I haven’t really been able to tell anyone but our close friends and family.”
“Does anyone else matter?” You asked, eyebrows furrowed. “Everyone that I care about knows about you. Why does the whole world?”
“I just - I don’t want you to feel like I’m ashamed of you when I’m not. I’d love to start posting pictures of us, like normal couples do.”
“We’re not a normal couple,” You pointed out. She was pouting again, but this time it didn’t look like she was trying to get what she wanted. She looked genuinely upset. You watched her for a minute as she dropped a couple more sprinkles on spots that she missed, trying to keep her hands busy. “Okay. Fine. You can post one tomorrow if you really want. But can we just relax tonight?”
“Okay,” She said, tucking a long blonde piece of hair behind her ear and smiled. She looked happy again. And that’s the way that you wanted to keep her forever.
-
Your phone was left in your office for most of the day while you were working on the usual day-to-day activities of the museum. You had forgotten your little agreement with Taylor the night before, having settled back in for a night of watching Olivia Benson on the television solving cases.
So when you finally had a chance to sit down and look at your phone, you were surprised to see that it was dead. You plugged it into your spare charger only for it to turn on and have hundreds - maybe even more notifications. You had to quickly go into your settings and try to turn them off so that you could have a breath. That was when you remembered, and immediately opened up instagram. 2.6 million follow requests. Jesus. At least your account was on private, who knows what they would have done if they had been able to go thorugh your photos and comment on them.
You’d leave those for another time to deal with. The next time that you were taking the subway and had nothing else better to do. But for now, you went to Taylor’s profile, where you were one of her millions of followers, never anything special until now. The two pictures from the night before, kissing and silly icing on your nose. ‘#bakingwithboyfriend.’
Over three million likes. Comments galore. And most of them were not of the nice and supportive kind.
‘Oh my god, is this some body positivity stunt?’ 'This is literally like three of her exes put together, weightwise. ‘ 'Must be really rich or have great dick’
There were other ones that were much more rude, but you weren’t going to go through them. You couldn’t. You wouldn’t do that to yourself. You put the phone back down, face down so that you wouldn’t have to look at it, or at the very least be a lot less tempted.
“Mr y/l/n,” Your assistant said, poking his head into the office. His face was looking flushed, so that already gave you an idea of what was going on. He already knew about your relationship, but that didn’t stop him from having fan-boy moments whenever Taylor came in. “She’s here to see you.”
“She can come in,” You said with a nod. He popped his head back out and the tall, lithe figure of Taylor, as dressed down as she could be, walked into the stuffy room. She smiled nervously and sat down across from you in the spot where donors or assistants usually would sit.
“You saw those comments, didn’t you?” Taylor said. You simply nodded. “I already talked to my publicist and we’re going to be taking comments off all of my posts. It isn’t right. Any of it.”
“Can’t say that it wasn’t expected though,” You admitted, leaning back in your chair. “I’m not Styles or Hiddleston.”
“That’s why I love you,” Taylor insisted. “You’re not any of those men, you’re you. They’ve got nothing, nothing at all, on you.”
“But I’m apparently three of them,” You laughed humorlessly. “Look, I knew what I was getting into by falling in love with you. I can accept it. Just sucks that the day had come after all.”
Taylor was quiet for a moment, but then she leaned forward over the desk, and took hold of your hands, giving them a squeeze with her well manicured fingers. “You’re everything to me, y/n. And I just want to show you that. I want to show the whole world that.”
“I know. I know,” You breathed out with a sigh. “Were any of the comments good?”
“Selena is going apeshit in the comments. Or at least she was while I was on the way here. Threatening to fight some of the people saying the worst things but I already deleted most of the really bad ones. I have my publicist on it. Some of them were really positive though. You’re really handsome. Some of them are threatening to come after you when we break up.”
“Ha, like that’s ever going to happen,” You said, shaking your head. “You’re it for me, baby.”
“You’re it for me too,” Taylor said, raising your hands up to kiss the tops of them. Your unmusical hands. “So - are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’ll get over it. I guess. More incentive to go to the gym maybe. Gotta show your millions of fans that you can still get a buff guy after all.”
“Don’t change yourself too much,” She’d say, smiling. “You’re perfect. Completely and utterly ... perfect.”
witching hour: 1 am
getou suguru x reader
anxiety keeps you awake in the late of the night. geto helps distract you from the growing storm.
warnings: none
One in the morning, and wide awake you were.
A thick, brumy fog swept in, clouding the windows and chilling the air. It sunk down to your bones, paired with the constant thrumming of your anxieties. Though you would not retire for another few hours, you had a nagging hunch that sleep would evade you should you try. You were no stranger to nights like these, when fears of the future descended upon you like a bitter spector, dangling the deaths of your loved ones in front of you like a rotted carrot in front of a horse.
If your stubborn brain wished to cling so desperately to consciousness, then idling and wallowing in your own self-pity would do you little good. You needed something, anything to keep your mind and hands busy, away from the burgeoning anxieties and terrible what-ifs that plagued you.
The bedroom was far from this side of the house, your partners kept safe from most sounds in the kitchen. Satoru was especially perceptive, but you could be especially quiet if need be. You nearly felt like an intruder in your own home, tiptoeing across the floor and delicately lifting the tools and baking sheets you required.
The light above the oven was turned on, the rest of the room left dim as you amassed your ingredients and laid them on the countertop. Like clockwork, you cycled through familiar steps, eyelids hooded as you submitted to the monotony of the task. Exhausted but wired awake all at the same time.
What you needed was sleep, but you supposed an inordinate amount of sugar would also do. The wide, rectangular pan laid atop the countertop, a piece of baking parchment settled across its bottom. The batter was for the most part finished, the dry and wet ingredients beaten to a near pulp.
You reached into the large mixing bowl, ready to ball the dough. A sweet smell already clung to the air, a perfume that your paramours would likely awaken to.
The haze that settled over your overworked mind vanished into startling alertness as two large, warm hands pressed against your hips, a chin resting atop your shoulder. A firm, warm body pressed up against your back. You jerked in his hold, startled at the suddenness.
“Sorry,” Geto apologized, hands sliding from your hips to wrap around your waist, pulling you tighter against him, bottom nestled snuggly into his hips. The soft sleeves of his robes brushed against the bare skin of your arms. He enshrouded you, made you feel like a hatchling cowering underneath a hen’s full feathers. “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“It’s alright,” you murmured. And how could you ever stay mad at him when his voice was so soft, his embrace so meaningfully tender? His face dropped into the crook of your neck, the sound of his inhale quiet yet audible. Heat rushed to your cheeks as your lips curled into a wobbling simper, eyes shutting. For but a few stolen moments, you allowed him to rock you back and forth, cradled so delicately. The night remained quiet around you, as though maintaining a sacrosanct vigil.
“Satoru loves those,” he remarked idly, looking up from his makeshift shelter. “Are you trying to surprise him?” His head lifted to bring him back to his full height, cheek rubbing idly against the top of your hair.
“Not intentionally. I just wanted something to do.” you confessed. “I just kept… thinking too much. Figured keeping my hands busy might help… but now that you mention it, I would like to surprise him.” You wondered when this became your go-to recipe for cookies, when you began to hold their preferences in such high regard.
“Your secret is safe with me.” he assured you, a hand slipping free to return to your hip. His fingers squeezed the ample flesh. Hardly ever was there a moment when Suguru was not touching you. An arm around your shoulders, a hand in yours, as though he feared you would up and vanish. Every piece of your body was a blessing, he told you through grasping fingers and words whispered, lips brushing against exposed skin. “Is there anything you want to talk about? Anything bothering you?”
“No, nothing much,” you lied through your teeth, finally reaching for the dough. You squinted as you rolled it between your palms. It formed into a lumpy ball within a few seconds, made a wet splatting sound as you dropped it a tad too carelessly onto the baking sheet.
“Let me repeat myself. Is nothing bothering you? Or is something bothering you?” he said, voice slower, purposeful.
“Just anxiety.” you confessed. There was no reason to burden him with the litany of intrusive thoughts you experienced, no reason to detail any of the specific, wicked scenarios your mind saw fit to conjure and play out inside your head. Not when the sound of his voice and the firmness of his touch was so present, so in front of you.
“Mm,” he hummed, quieting. “And I suppose I can’t persuade you to come to bed,” he lamented with a sigh, momentarily unwinding himself from your body to stand beside you. “Let’s get your mind off it.”
“You’re giving up?” you inquired, momentarily taken aback. No schmoozing? No attempting to coax you with everything and anything he had to offer? You were unsure if you should be afraid or concerned by his lack of stubbornness.
“An idle mind is the devil’s workshop,” he droned in dry jest, “–and I’m not gonna invite him into bed with me. I’ll stay with you until he’s gone.” He plucked a portion of dough from the bowl and mimicked you, rolling it into a smooth ball between large, warm palms. You jerked your gaze away from his hands as you began to imagine them elsewhere.
“Quit getting religious on me. You don’t even believe in all of that,” you huffed, sucked into the calming lull of the banter.
“Hush, I’m trying to be kind,” he scolded lightly, nudging you with his arm. You gasped, hands shoved together, squishing the ball of dough you had been so diligently shaping. “See? That’s where your sass gets you.”
Your protests disassembled into begrudging little grumbles, attempting to salvage the poor, squished bundle of dough.
Attempting to suppress the beginnings of a smile that threatened to curl your lips, the fears and horrors chased away by the distraction.
Three Times Patton Got Lost in a Market
Thomas was walking through the old store with his mom, careful to hold her hand while they shopped.
“Oh, look! There’s a wind chime! It’s just like the nice neighbor lady!” Patton said.
Thomas stopped to look, and his mom stopped too, looking at something else across the aisle.
“It isn’t exactly the same,” Logan said. “Hers has a hummingbird on top, but this one has a butterfly.”
“And anyway, this one has prettier colors when the light hits it,” Roman added.
“Oooh, the red really is pretty, Roman!” Patton said excitedly. “And the purple, and the yellow!”
“It’s exactly the colors of the most beautiful rainbow reflecting back from a pot of gold,” Roman said dreamily.
“Mom!” Virgil suddenly shrieked, alerting them all to the fact that Thomas’s mom was no longer beside them.
Instantly, there was a pandemonium of overlapping voices, all very confusing, and Virgil at the front screaming.
“Quiet!” Patton yelled, as loud as he could, and then felt a little like crying. He didn’t like yelling, but this was important!
“But we have to find Mom!”
“We should run after her!”
“If we yell someone will hear!”
“Listen to me!” Patton yelled again. “Remember what Mom said? If we get lost in the store we stay put, and if we see an employee then we ask them to call mom for us.”
Virgil bit down hard on his sleeves, and Patton took his silence for agreement.
“That is indeed what Thomas was told,” Logan admitted.
“I still think we should go find her!” Roman protested, though less pointedly than before.
Thomas plopped down on the floor.
“Ok. That settles it, we’re waiting for mom,” Patton said. “Let’s look for more pretty things while she comes to get us. Roman, what else can you see around us that looks like a rainbow?”
Roman grumpily crossed his arms. “There’s a rainbow on the lawn decoration.”
“Very good!” Patton said. “Logan, can you see anything that’s science-accurate?”
“Science-accurate is a very vague phrase, but I suppose you could be intending to direct me to the collection of decorative barometers.”
“Oooh~ yes, the water swan neck thingies~” Roman said.
Logan launched into an explanation of barometers, most of which Patton didn’t understand.
He checked on Virgil, who was scanning the aisle they were in over and over again, and chewing holes in his poor sleeves.
“She’ll be here in just a minute, don’t worry,” Patton said gently.
Virgil nodded slightly, but didn’t stop checking the ends of the aisle and staring down each person that passed.
And then his eyes went wide. Patton turned to look.
“Mom!”
“Thomas, I thought I lost you for a minute there! Stay close, ok?”
Thomas took his mother’s hand and nodded.
Patton let out a sigh of relief. They weren’t lost anymore.
••^*^••
Thomas was a bit worried about high school, and especially the test coming up, and Logan and Virgil were mostly helping him with that. But now he had to go to the store for groceries. And Roman was exhausted after being all excited over the play and was sound asleep.
So Patton was helping shop!
He smiled confidently, prompting Thomas to look at the list again. He needed to get the ingredients for tacos, and some bread, milk, eggs, and ice cream. Yum!
Now what all went into tacos?
There was meat, and sour cream, and little shredded lettuce, and cheese, and taco shells, or was he supposed to get soft tortillas?
Patton considered, wandering into the store towards the food. Maybe both? Yeah. Both. Oh! And there was the bread! That would probably have tortillas near it!
Patton hummed happily, finding the bread that looked the same as what mom had been getting, noting the brand name. Nature’s Own. Huh.
Now tortillas… what kind did they normally get?
He finally just picked the one that had blue on the label.
Virgil popped up, startling him for a moment, especially with his intense frown. “People are staring. We’re taking too long near the bread, and your humming is gonna make people think Thomas is weird.”
“Oh, it’s alright!” Patton said cheerfully, glad he hadn’t dropped the tortillas. “I didn’t get in anyone’s way, and they haven’t said anything yet about thinking Thomas is weird.”
“Yeah…” Virgil glared at the people milling around and shopping. “Well they could. Just… keep it quiet.”
“Will do!” Patton grinned, and Virgil sunk back out.
Next he had to find… well, next he had to find the next thing. Should he keep walking and hope to see them, or should he seek each one out? He’d stumbled upon the bread, surely he would stumble across the rest.
Patton hummed happily and kept walking, skipping along beside the cart as Thomas pushed it. Thomas must really be out of it, poor guy. But Patton could help him cheer up!
Pretty soon, they had almost everything! Except for taco seasoning. And Patton wasn’t sure if they were supposed to get the kind that was in packets, or the actual spices. And he also wasn’t sure whether he should look in the spices area or the Mexican food area. Or where those areas were.
Surely they’d passed those special Mexican drinks a while back. But where?
Patton encouraged Thomas to turn around and go back, but after several aisles he still couldn’t find anything he was looking for. He turned back around, and then again.
“Perhaps… I need to go from one end all the way to the other…”
Virgil popped up again, rather grumpy looking, but not as much as earlier. “That’s gonna take too long. We’re already late, and Mom is gonna need Thomas home son so she can make dinner.”
Patton sighed. “Ok. Logan, help please, I’m lost.”
Logan popped up, looked around, and then pointed. “That aisle.”
“But how do you know?” Patton asked.
“There’s a sign above it.”
Patton looked up. “Oh. Yeah.” He chuckled. “I should’ve thought to look for signs. Thanks, Logan!”
“You’re welcome. However I do suggest we attempt to make our trip home expedient. I’ll need Virgil’s full attention and assistance to prepare adequately for the test.”
“Will do!” Patton said, already spurring Thomas towards the aisle.
••^*^••
“I have created the ultimate maze!” Roman said excitedly. “It is called Infinite IKEA!”
Patton clapped excitedly, and even Logan gave a single clap.
“I really don’t see the point—“
“The point is a race, Emo Nightmare, and the winner gets to pick which old reruns Thomas watches tonight.”
Virgil tried to pretend he was still disinterested, but Patton could tell he was excited. “So what would we have to do to win the race?”
Roman grinned. “I’ve hidden a copy of each of our logos in the store somewhere, except for mine, which Logan hid by sinking in and placing it in a random place, so he doesn’t know the layout of the store yet. You have to find your own logo, and then exit the store!”
Oh, so that was why Logan had a bump on his head. He’d probably tried to rise up too close to a shelf. Ouch.
“Everybody ready! Set! Go!”
They all rushed into the store. Patton looked around excitedly, getting more excited to see that the store was full of items that came from houses where Thomas had lived or visited. He ran to the section of beds and flopped onto the biggest one.
He let out a comfy sigh, looking up at the roof which, rather than being metal supports and too-bright lights, was intricately painted with something that glowed.
It was amazing.
“You did a really great job, Roman,” Patton said, even though Roman was probably running ahead to win the race— oh! This was a race!
He jumped up and started walking, looking around for his heart with glasses.
After the bed section, where he wished he could stay and flip onto each one, he wandered into the lamps and chandeliers section. That was beautiful. He was still dazzled and in awe walking out. It even had that massive one Thomas had seen in the one hotel once.
And then came books, where Logan was!
“Hi, Logan!”
“Ah, greetings Patton.” Logan was looking through the books, just as captivated as Patton had been by the beds.
“Find your logo yet?”
“Not yet. I’m not overly concerned with winning, and Roman has certainly made this an interesting place to browse.”
“Mhmm!” Patton looked around. “Where are the kids books, I want to see if the Winnie the Pooh book is still chewed on or if Roman made it brand new.”
“That way, two shelves down,” Logan said, rather distracted by a book he’d picked off of the shelf.
“Thank you!”
Patton found the children’s section, and then found the book. It was still chewed on the corners. He smiled, and flipped through the thick cardboard pages. Thomas had loved this book.
And then, when he opened the last page, his logo fell out.
“Awww, look!” He picked it up, and found that it was a sticker. He promptly stuck the sticker to his chest and put the book back. Now all he had to do was find his way out!
He wandered into the next section, which was all dark and purples and blues and blacks and everything cozily packed together.
There was even a sign warning him away from certain aisles, because there would be spiders, and Patton was very glad Roman had thought of that.
And then he remembered the sunglasses stand sitting at the beginning of the lights aisle. That was probably for Virgil. Roman had been so thoughtful in building this! Patton hoped Roman would win. He certainly deserved the prize after putting all this together.
There was a whole section of Disney, all the movies, and posters, and any Disney themed toys and figurines, and even cardboard cut outs! It was lovely and chaotic and colorful, and it bridged Virgil’s section with Roman’s very well.
Roman had every single picture Thomas had ever seen, which was so many pictures!! Patton looked in awe until he realized that the paintbrushes weren’t just for show, some of them had been used. There was a little black cat in the corner of one painting, and a little V, and the paintbrush was in a cup of black water.
Patton found a picture of a field of flowers, and picked up the paintbrush, dabbing a bit of pink onto the picture. It turned instead into exactly the kind of flower Patton had been envisioning! He smiled wide and painted another, and another, and another, and each one turned out beautiful!
He ran to another painting and gave a little boy in the background a balloon and a smile. And then he gave the lady sitting in a rocking chair a baby to hold.
He finally had to stop himself. He could stay here forever, but he probably should get to the end of the store so he wouldn’t worry the others.
He got to the end of Roman’s section, only to find a massive blanket fort. He kept himself from exploring, and passed through, coming out at… the beds again?
Ohhhhh, right. It was a race and a maze.
Patton flopped down on the bed Thomas had grown up with, wrapping up in the blanket. He let out a happy sigh.
“Logan! Roman! Virgil! I’m lost! But I’m also gonna stay lost!”
Roman rose up and leaned against the footboard, a pleased smile on his face. “Enjoying the store?”
“I’m loving it!” Patton said happily, sitting up. “You did a really good job!”
Roman glowed. “I guess I’ll have to leave it up for you to wander in then. Once Virgil finds the exit I’ll put it somewhere more obvious so you can get out once you’re done.”
“Oh, did you and Logan already get out? Who won?”
“Logan, but only by a few minutes. He hid my logo in a hard place! How was I supposed to guess he’d put it under the makeup stash?”
Patton chuckled. “Wait, I didn’t see that.”
“It’s in Virgil’s section, in one of the spider aisles. I can un-spider it for you if you want.”
“Well, let Virgil have his fun first, but I’d really like that.” Patton smiled. He could have fun in here for a long time. “You did an amazing job with the paintings too! I loved those!”
Roman puffed up happily. “I did, didn’t I?”
There was a distant, triumphant, “Ha! I made it! Wait, Princey beat me? Aww.”
Patton giggled.
Roman patted his shoulder. “Have fun.”
“I will!” Patton said happily, eyeing the blanket fort which he now had time to explore.
