hey so i saw your rb of this and i wanted to confirm the species of eel! they are anguilla dieffenbachii, otherwise known as ōrea or the new zealand longfin eel :3 some folks feed them dog food here, they'll kinda eat anything (whether or not it's good for them). sorry i have Eels Autism and was reading the reblogs to see if anyone mentioned ōrea (they are my favorite guys)

I know this is beating a dead horse at this point, but I just started thinking about this the other day and...

How many people that were previously enemies has Sonic ACTUALLY befriended?

Like my knowledge of some old games and the handhelds ain't great, but...

There was Knuckles, who I think is the only one in the classic era.

He never really befriended Gamma in SA1, just left him to Amy.

Also he didn't befriend Chaos, just beat the anger out of him.

The next one was Shadow in SA2, although they're still kinda rivals?

I don't think Rouge counts in SA2 since she wasn't really an enemy of Sonic specifically, even in Heroes it's really Sonic and Shadow that start the fight.

Gemerl is a robot who was reprogrammed to be friendly, I wouldn't count that as "befriending someone".

Him and Jet are rivals in every Riders game, this never changes.

Blaze in Rush is someone that fought him and they became friends, so it's clear cut, she counts.

Silver in '06 does as well.

Do we count Shade from Chronicles? I think she had a boss fight. I know very little about that game but it's not canon, right?

Merlina is kinda a grey area? Like they were friends, he stopped her evil plans and was still nice to her. I don't know if in context that meets the criteria.

On top of that I don't think the Knights of the Round Table count. Sonic is there to take the swords and they work together at the end. I don't think there's any hard feelings, but don't know if this counts as "friends".

Sage could be the next example, but she's still loyal to Eggman. I don't think what they briefly shared was friendship as much as Sage wanting to save Eggman.

I haven't played Superstars but Trip doesn't even have a bossfight, does she? I don't think she counts.

Not looking at the method, just purely if they became friends down the line. Out of all of those, there's 4 total (if you count Shadow, which I do) with 1 it's complicated and 1 non-canon. That's very few when you consider how large the game cast is.

An overwhelming majority of his friends weren't ever hostile with him to begin with, like the Chaotix, Amy, Tails, Cream, Emerl, Big, ect. There's plenty of other cast members that are still have him on their shit list, like Eggman, Infinite (if he's alive), Fang, Metal, Eggman Nega, the Deadly Six...

Now I'm starting to wonder where this idea of it being a frequent even came from.

I don't mean to distract you from the morenaposting (god bless) but I'd like to bring to attention how during the yes/no questions bork doesn't even ask something like "is the number of members higher than 23?" she just goes straight for the number and then immediately intuits it's lower. Girl has really impressive people skills, or maybe she's just perfect for morena. She also totally fucking marked that R card when she asked to check the cards, and then scrunched it up to hide the evidence. Also, we didn't see this kiss directly because Borksen won't consider it their real first kiss until the second one. Trust.

frr!!!! god all the women in this arc are popping off, keeping it together in horrible situations with genius-level analytical skills. i think the more we've gotten to know her, the more borksen has proven to me the insane capabilities' she'd have as a specialist. giving me major kurapika and chrollo vibes in terms of the speed with with she processes information- not to mention, the ability to keep her cool. morena sure does know how to pick em

and i've come to the same conclusion as you: borksen for sure found a way to cheat w/ the game! it's telling how we saw her internal narration in (407? i think) where she said she was convinced morena isn't the type of person to cheat- so her random accusation at the end has gotta be a play. maybe she bent it somehow, or left some kind of mark so she'd be able to distinguish the return card? and then crumples it up afterwards to hide the evidence. beautiful stuff. i'm obviously biased, but i'm like 90% sure that morena caught on to her play and let it happen anyway.

god just. look at morena's eyes. and volksen's nervousness- trying to see if she's gotten away with it. soooo much subtly in the body language throughout these last few chapters it's been incredible. i can def conceive morena letting volk get away with it as partly a power move but also partly a demonstration of how their relationship could be going forward. this whole game was created to make volksen feel like she had a sense of agency in her decision- i mean, volk basically surmised as much in 407, right?

which makes her ultimate decision all the more scrumptious. i think she's realized the extent of the situation and her powerlessness within it, and came to the conclusion that learning nen was her best chance at survival- although i'm sure there's much more cooking in her head!!! and i might be reaching, but i'm totally seeing parallels between morena recruiting someone supposedly against her best interests w/ borksen, and then chrollo doing the same thing w/ hisoka, and perhaps even illumi later. delicious parallel after parallel!! if we get some borkjudas imagery i'll ascend to a higher plane.

as for your last point-- i hope and hope and pray and pray!!!!! maybe theyre saving it for the inevitable morena/theta/borksen threeway (i'm sane.)

i love looking at all the indie stores you link to, and if im using this blog for inspo, it could be really useful to be able to narrow down what items have been posted, rather than having to scroll until i find the type of thing im looking for, if that makes any sense? its also just interesting being able to see all of one type of item at once, but thats likely just the autism lol
