Hold on! Because boy do I have a story about this fucking book! So I grew up religious and went to a Christian school but I LOVED dragons! I have been and always will be the dragon girl- okay?

So one day my classmate in like 3rd grade comes in with this book and shows it to me and I loose my shit- this was the coolest book to little me! And you know that stuff in the back about summoning a dragon? Oh you KNOW I was gonna try that shit out! So I did with my little friend group at lunch recess. I didn’t know what the fuck I was doing, I just wanted a dragon!

Well it obviously didn’t work but when my aunt (who worked at the school as a cleaning lady) saw me and said hi- I told her I tried to summon a dragon because I thought that was cool. She did NOT think that was cool. She told my teacher and my mom and I got ALL of my dragon books taken away (never got them all back btw) and I wasn’t allowed to draw dragons or read any books with dragons for 2 years.

Anyway- dragons are my personality now, I’m ace and exploring if I’m non-binary so this checks out

overlooking all the other reasons why the show went downhill: katara’s feminine rage missing, aang getting guilt punched every episode, bumi being ooc, almost zero gaang bonding episodes, three episodes compiled into one (done twice), azula being introduced too early + given too much screen time, the cave of two lovers being in s1 when it was a s2 episode— all of that is valid but the show can really be pointed out in two ways where they went downhill:

aang never waterbended once during a season where it is literally called book one: water.
