The animation quality compared to the manga is–#definitely noticeable and it's nice to see. That said... I still like the season 2 art style more? And I'm speaking strictly of art style.#The s2 one looks more soft and smooth while the da one is so much more rough.#The plot is... Very bsd-esque I don't think there's anything to add.#In my opinion Kyouka's arc is the one that turned out best tbh. I really like her narrative development and personal growth in this movie.#I like the complexity of her state of mind. how full of contradiction she is. I especially appreciate the recurring small changes of–#expression that indicate how she thinks differently from Atsushi even if she doesn't voice them. The fight between her cynicism and her–#kind nature. It's all very interesting.#Atsushi's development is interesting too. Although all the open questions about his ability we still have kind of leave me frustrated#I don't feel very strongly about Akutagawa in this movie? I mean‚ he's there. The ss/kk scenes are always great and in character and a joy–#to witness no matter what they do. He just doesn't shine particularly? Or at least personally I dont find the “proving my strength against–#myself” narrative arc to be particularly interesting. Imo it was a lot better flashed out in the da stage play! With the complexity that–#the dialogues with Chuuya added to the character. Dazai attacking him. And especially Aktgw understanding that Rashomon wasn't testing Aktg#but rather only expressing that unstoppable rage that is also Aktgw's own. About that I checked out the play and I really liked it!!#I only watched highlights (aka: ss/kk and chuu/aku scenes) but there's some stuff I really like. I like the conflict between Aktgw and–#Chuuya and how Chuuya messes up with Aktgw at first maliciously and then amiably. It's interesting how Atsushi himself observes that Kyouka#and Akutagawa get along. And especially the sskk almost-handholding and Atsushi saying Akutagawa has a nice profile were cute akjdhbsawhjb#Next. Da really is shipping paradise (╥﹏╥) Sorry but... It is. oda/zai. daz/atsu. ss/kk. s/kk. fuku/mori. chuu/aku. It really has everythin#and the moments are so good!!!! What else. Wish we'd see more of Tsujimura. And Christie. And women in general tbh.#Also‚‚‚‚‚ Atsushi's tiger form in this movie is ATROCIOUS. I've said it before but it's crazy how a franchises that relies so heavily on–#fanservice came up with something this hideous. Man the movie overall was pretty but Atsushi sure wasn't. A shortcut!#Now imagine for a sec trying to get through a parkcore + miros bird gauntlet with a corpse and a worm within 5 cycles#before the scav ran out of karma and you were stuck inside forever. Yeah#Besides that tho I've been messing around and been very tenderly modding the game.#Turns out you can have a bit of fun with most sprites without too much effort by simply cloning the MSC mod in your files#Then changing the copy's mod info so it doesn't clash and simply swapping images out for whatever you want#As long as you have the sprite name you can do this. You can also change region names and decals and music all sorts of stuff.#In short I've been brewing a custom mod for a friend to make her suffer as much as possible <3#Thanks to a buddy on the rw server for showing me that trick btw lol. The best cesspool I've ever participated in#Oh before I forget- the symbol on CW's head is completely made up. They just looked so... dc is doing a little mini relaunch after the current crossover finishes and honestly thank god because literally only two of their current ongoings interest me but there's a bunch of fun looking stuff happening in november that i might actually look at. and also it's starting series for several guys who should have had ongoings this whole time like the fucking JUSTICE LEAGUE

I'm so stupid 😬
#I've been taking the wrong medication for at least two or three days.......#took my anxiety meds twice a day. and didn't take my birth control/endometriosis medication.#been wondering all day why that stupid pain is back. yeah..... great!#I'm hoping it wasn't long enough that I'll start bleeding. I can't fucking handle that right now. I'm not even at home#😭😭😭#but anyway it hurts. I'm so angry at myself. the packaging doesn't look similar! one is literally green!! but I just take the ones that I#put in one specific spot and don't question it......#anyway. ouch.#personal#oh and also. I got really shaky and agitated on a lower dose than this of the anxiety meds... soo I also hope it wasn't long enough to be a#problem. because the dose I've been taking is higher than the highest recommended dose. soo. hopefully it was just two days 😬 though tbh it#was probably 4...#and my hands are super shaky but I didn't think too much about that (it happens sometimes) 🤦#annnnd if I do start bleeding that would be a problem because I don't have pads or anything here.... ahhhh I'm so stressed about this now 😭#I hope it'll be ok. Astrid and Thyme's relationship basically starts with Astrid walking on Thyme reading her version of the Book of Dragons. She thinks Thyme is pulling a Heather and trying to steal their Book, and Hyper knows that Thyme has had that book forever and wouldn't try to steal anything. Insert Astrid and Hyper arguing with increasing intensity.
...Y'know, until Hiccup and Fishlegs walk in with their Book of Dragons, and then someone has some explaining to do.

Ok so like.....*sigh*
So like in the show he basically asks her to marry him and she says yes, and they're both like "Promise? Promise!" but she keeps fucking conveniently remembering and forgetting "the promise to mother" like I know he's intoxicating af and it's hard to hold a thought around this man (I also have a very hard time holding a thought looking at him), but pick a goddamn side and have a backbone about it ffs!! Like you can't waffle on people like this girl!! You literally sat here and engaged yourself to this man and then you go off and do THAT???
I would like to note that so far in the (very drastically different) novel, there is no such promise ever made, and she fucks off to the steppe because she's mad at Ning Yi thinking the whole entire time he had just been cozying up as part of a plot to kill her so leaving bought her time, space, and a power base to fight back and he just eats the misunderstanding like "????? fine, come and kill me when you're ready, at least I'll get to see you again, I am ok with this." which makes a bit more sense tbh.
In a loooot a lot of ways, the tv show is about 1000x more polished than the book, but at least the book has fewer slaps in the face like this. They become a bit more obvious on rewatch, especially after pawing through the novel. (I hope the translator finishes it someday!! They picked it up again this past may after two years of nothing so here's hoping!)
#the rise of phoenixes#spoilers#i needed to talk about some stuff ok#tbh I do like the ning yi of the tv show a LOT more- god bless chen kun#but the book ning yi also has his good points like accepting zhiwei's major choices#in the show it is absolutely not his fault that her mom and brother die- no question bc he tried damn hard to do everything he could#in the book he's got a bit more of the blame because he loses control of his subordinates after showing too much favor to zhiwei#they think he's blinded by her charm and talent and unable to make sound decisions so they act independently without telling him and fuck u#and he accepts that because he lost control of his people that that puts some of the blame on him because he WAS investigating feng hao#just not at zhiwei's expense which is what she thinks has happened- that wasn't the game at all#but he still takes the L with a little bit of dignity and it makes sense for her to get her space and leave#whereas in the show she highkey comes off as a pissbaby after this man wins a whole war on speedrun just to save her#only for her to conveniently remember mommy's promise again and break her engagement and fuck off to the steppe#which leaves him rightly a fucking mess and that was not a good look for her#i really really hope the translator picks the book back up and finishes it#i would love to see how this pans out there as the whole picture even though I know it has a happy ending already#but still!!

recently you have noticed that he always listened to your conversations with other humans,studying how other humans interacted with eachother,in their languages. It was very interesting to him how people interacted,he always has followed you to wherever you go,and you don't mind it at all since people can't see him,watching you talk with your friends behind you,being curious. if your friends could have the ability to see him,they probably would have been weirded out and thought of him as just a weirdo.
He watched as you watched those rom-coms,with a loving expression,there was this one thing that he was fascinated about. The way your eyes would glint up with love and affection and that soft smile that crept up on your face,was the time one of the characters will say the words "I love you" to eachother,simply confessing their love. As they melt to eachother's embrace and even shared a sweet,tender kiss. He wondered if he had said those words to you you would do the same thing to him too.
Curiosity got the best of him as he finally built up the courage as he went over to your bed where you laying in,on your phone just listening to some music,and laid down beside you as he laid his head down on your shoulder, you smiled at him as you put the phone down and started petting his head. Mr crawling thought this was the perfect time to finally open the key to his undead heart and confess his feelings for you.
"I love you." "I love you so so so much!" He repeated,with a eerie-ly beautiful smile that caught you off guard. "Wait what!?" You thought you misheard him, as he looked and tilted his head,much like a confused puppy. "I love you! You love me too?" He questioned,hope sparking in his undead eyes, blush painted your cheeks as you realised this wasn't a dream and he really loves you,and you loved him too. "Yes!yes! Me love you too! Very much!"
