remus lupin who's actually horrible with animals. & he knows why ,, the animals know what he is, ,, he's horrible at care of magical creatures and he's just .. so devastated. bc like thirteen yo remus lupin just wanted to learn about sweet animals . he'd been so looking forward to his first class, he'd begged his friends to take it with him, but nvm they all either run away or try to attack him . he's humiliated & betrayed for some reason, he's sad and he kind of wants to cry in the middle of class,. even before he came to hogwarts and knew for sure ,, he always thought animals disliked him because of his furry little problem, but the confirmation still stung. animals who'd probably never even seen a werewolf were uncomfortable with him too ,, when james and lily adopt a stray from some muggle alley even that's averse to remus . his friends & peers & teachers play it off and he tries to too but it's just a constant reminder that he's a monster

Remus is a Jedi because I think it fits him, Severus and Lily are two senators that Remus is supposed to be escorting, and Sirius and James are smugglers coming along for the ride.

Sirius staring at his brother across the dining hall melt into him staring at his brothers star from a prison cell. Remus reading alone in the library turns into his sitting alone at a graveyard. Oddly enough she never sees Peter though.

Pandora Rosier who is cursed with far to much knowledge and no power to change it. Pandora, who will see her own demise after watching all those she cares for go before her.

does anyone else ship a ship simply bc they came up w one scene for them and it got them hooked?? bc like i don't really ship moonflower that much but i was writing a jegulus triwizard tournament au once where james and regulus were dancing at a yule ball and lily grabbed remus and kissed him when james couldn't understand her hints to just fucking kiss reg and now every time i think of that scene i think of remus going catatonic bc omfg his crush just kissed him and mary, lily's ex girlfriend, coming over to pat him on the head like "yeah man i get you"

I think that the appeal Remus has to Sirius is that he is calm. That he is unlikely to yell, unlikely to lash out. Timid, kind. Gentle.

I imagine teenage Sirius being pretty disregulated by the volatility of his family, causing his own, and Remus calmness just soothes it so well.

When Sirius would be in a fit of rage about something, James would rant with him and rile him up further, entertaining his mood. Peter would cower, worried to say the wrong thing. But Remus would be the one to step up, trying to make him take deep breaths and think it through and tell him that "just setting it all on fire" actually won't fix the issue at hand at all.

He would say the things Sirius would know very well himself, but would be unable to reach through his anger, without ever judging him for his outbursts. Sirius liked that Remus was steady. That he didn't have to worry about him.

Remus would allow Sirius to become as kind as he actually is. Not having to hide behind an aloof, snarky facade (let's be real, he can be a mean bitch and he's good at it, but he cares). Remus would allow Sirius to be himself in a way (maybe) not even James could.
