Glad to meet someone who recognizes my genius 🤖

For date hotspots, I’d say it depends on a variety of personal factors so I’ll detail a few.

AiAi is always a classic, the city of love if you know what I mean…

Soufrabi is nice for walks on the beach and a good city night life if you have beaten or avoid the pirates.

Masadora is fun, lots of little shops to visit. There’s also a nice stream with a small waterfall outside the city that’s perfect for picnics.

Antokiba is fun if you or your date want to show off prize winning skills.

Bunzen is a quaint town for a more relaxed date.

Dorias is great for a casino style date, so again if you want to show off at the tables, it’s fun. Not for everyone, though.

No but I’m pretty sure if I met AiAi in person I’d actually start crying in public with no way to stop and thus embarrassing myself for life.

I DO. Just like how I have a Maya sticker and keychain, I have a matching set for Claudine. All courtesy of Mika herself :] She regrets giving it to me since she loves Claudine too HAHAHAHA. Dw Mika if I find any in Japan I’ll mail them to you 😘

4. what about their personality i like

In the anime she’s a very passionate and warmhearted person. Besides with Maya, Claudine is pretty (she’s really pretty) fun to hang around and will tease the other girls like how she sang that funny song about Karen and whispered all seductively in Mahiru’s ear to greet her.

But she’s also hard working and willing to help out others like how she gave Futaba private coaching lessons on tap dancing and gosh I wish she was my friend.

She’s still nice to Mahiru kind of in the stage play but I think she’s more condescending. Which she isn’t in the anime so.

5. what about their backstory makes me emotional

Now that I think about it, Claudine is the typical gifted kid who excelled at a young age but then became average once she got older. Okay well Claudine still shines brighter than most stage girls but how she feels about her own frequent losses toward Maya does parallel a lot to gifted children who feel like they’re not performing well enough once they grow old enough where that level of capability is required. The nice thing is that Claudine’s pretty stubborn and her determination is amazing which is why she caught Maya’s eye I’m sure.

The other thing I sometimes think about is how much she was noticed as a “child actress” was influenced by the fact that she’s half white. I’m not actually sure how it works in Japan specifically, but I know being happa (half white half something else) is usually something favorable and easily noticeable. Maybe even scouted to be child celebrities (not that I’m talking from experience or anything...) And that the reason why Claudine is mainly known as a “child” actress and not much after is because that was her prime and once she grew older that initially cute charm wore off...

BUT NO THAT CAN’T BE RIGHT LOOK HOW FUCKING PRETTY SHE IS I’D STILL CONTINUE HIRING HER

And plus she’s super talented enough to get into the renown and elite Seisho without fear or trouble so NAH IT’S ALL CLAUDINE’S OWN CAPABILITIES NONE OF THAT CHILDHOOD CHARM SHIT THAT WORE OFF BS. STUPID BRAIN YOU OVERTHINK.

6. the moment of theirs that made me the saddest

WHEN SHE WAS TRAINING IN EPISODE 3, THE EPISODE AFTER SHE LOST TO MAYA IN THE AUDITIONS, AND SHE FELL DOWN AND SHE JUST LOOKED SO EXHAUSTED BUT STILL WANTED TO KEEP GOING SHE DIDN’T WANT TO LOSE UGH MY DAUGHTER PLEASE REST.

And then Futaba walked in and helped her regain her drive. Ahh, Futaba ii yatsu na.

7. the moment of theirs that made me the happiest

I think that moment in episode 10 when Maya and Claudine are stretching and Claudine recounts her first meeting with Maya, expecting her to not remember but Maya says, “I remember. Of course I do.” And Claudine’s eyes widen and she thanks her in French ugh.

AiAi mentioned it too but Claudine at that point hadn’t thought that Tendou Maya had even looked at her outside of the stage. So just realizing that Maya had regarded her even back then is something that makes her happy.

8. something about them that made me laugh

WHEN KAREN GOES LOOKING AROUND FOR HIKARI IN EPISODE 4 AND CATCHES CLAUDINE BY SURPRISE, WHO WAS STUDYING AT PICTURES OF MAYA AND GOT EMBARRASSED WHEN KAREN SAW HER LOLOLOLOL (not that I think Karen even noticed or cared with Hikari missing lmao)

HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS FACE??? I’M STILL LAUGHING AND I’VE REWATCHED THIS EPISODE LIKE 10 TIMES

ALSO SHE SCREAMS AND YELLS AT KAREN IN FRENCH AND KAREN IS JUST LIKE “I can’t understand what you’re saying D:” and then runs off.

Claudine looks great in everything. Uh, I guess her revue outfit. THOSE OUTFITS ARE SOOOO GOOD UGH.

10. my favorite moment with them in canon

I LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF CLAUDINE UGH. It really is going to have to be the scene in episode 3 when she whispers “bonjour” into Mahiru’s ear after coming to classes late ughaslfdkjsdlfk because then she goes “Oh! The Seisho Festival?” in a way that just makes me LOVE HER SO MUCH AIAI WHY IS YOUR VOICE SO GREAT WITH CLAUDINE.

11. my favorite relationship they have with another character

I really appreciate how supportive she is with Futaba. She even let Futaba stay over in her room when Futaba and Kaoruko were having their lover’s spat. And Futaba was also the one who knocked Claudine out of her funk.

Futaba even knows Claudine enough that she immediately guesses that Maya is the reason why Claudine’s upset. “Did something happen with Tendou? Only she can make you make a face like that.”

Claudine is a badass and everyone knows it.

Lighten up on the tsundereness will ya? Well, it is pretty prominent in her character especially when Maya is involved, so I usually let it slide.

I’m happy that she isn’t condescending in the anime like she is in the stage play. She could’ve been the alpha bitch that Maya (mostly) wasn’t, but she’s genuinely kind and helpful and she’s also so pretty and stubborn and hard working and god you are too good to be true.

To be honest I don’t even know why I like Maya more. Claudine hits all the points for me too and yet stupid chikidon ranks higher what the actual fuck.

Also, I like how we can infer from the Overture manga that Claudine lived a relatively relaxed childhood. Her parents seem to be super supportive of her and didn’t push her into acting. It was her own interest that got her in, and her own interest that continues to drive her. That’s how parents should be when their kids want to do something.

They sent her potato chips from the company she did a commercial for oh gosh that’s so sweet.

15. what i dont like about the way canon portrayed them

I often feel like she gets shafted compared to some of the other characters. But then again, RS does a pretty decent job giving all 9 Butai Shoujo a chance to shine.

But.

“Arrie” from the first blu ray is supposed to be her song but all 9 share equal parts basically. I guess it’s supposed to represent how Claudine, unlike Maya, isn’t the type to step on other people to succeed.

Why Ai'Hia was so funny in Cutie Pie

in response to @isisanna-blog’s question which tumblr doesn’t want answered directly. 

Can you explain the significance of the ‘Ai’ Hia’ in this weeks Cutie Pie please? I realised something linguistically important happened but didn’t know what!

(Okay a reminder Thai is a language that exists in registers: high, low, frozen. And that it requires the use of honorifics (particles & pronouns) between ages: polite, formal (not the same thing). So something can be said formal but not polite, both, or neither. BL relationships exist within these different registers and levels of formality. Like most languages Thai is ever evolving and flexible with very few hard and fixed rules.)

Hia honorific & pronoun

Hia functions the same as phi but is used only by those with Chinese ancestry and is basically older brother (phi = older sibling, no gender) and is slightly more household intimate than phi (more strongly associated with actual brother/cousin/family member).

Like hyung/oppa there is no direct translation but hia is applied to older males by a younger person (any gender). It is used by the younger person to address the older male both directly, Hia Lian, and as a pronoun (you), hia, and also by the older person to refer to themself (I pronoun) when in conversation with someone younger. So grammatically it behaves like phi. 

In UWMA Team calls Win hia (and leaves off the P'Win most of the time - cheeky boy), but he uses phi and P'Dean for Dean. (It’s a bit different in Between Us.)  In Bad Buddy Pat’s sister uses hia with him.

It’s rare to hear hia used IRL on the actor circuit. But New uses it with Zee (Cutie Pie) on and off set, which is interesting. They have a soft but strict older/younger dynamic (Zee is almost a decade older). And Zee has been through the wringer with a pair before so there’s a lot of subtext going on here. You can watch them (and hia) in action here.

In Cutie Pie both couples use hia as both pronoun and formal address: Hia Lian & Hia Yi.

The formal address use of Hia is rare. 

I've never heard it before in a BL until Cutie Pie. So hia is used for I & you, while Hia Lian is used for formality's sake and in third person referencing. This is a *tiny* bit like how mister used to function in old English, as in: Mr Lian for formal address, mister as direct address. These days, it's a little more like master in the kink circuit. 

There's an inherent strictness to the formal application of Hia Lian partly because it is so unusual. It indicates a different kind of relationship than just P'Lian would in other BLs - both more intimate and more structured.

The lost Ai

Ai’+ name is technically supposed to be used between age mates but it is usually dropped in BL and on the interview circuit. It can and is applied in cases where social formality is required - meeting a stranger’s kids who are the same age or something like that.

But in BL it ALSO will be applied with a long drawn out tone when insult is required between close friends. Ae and Pond do it a lot in Love By Chance. In which case Ai’+name is a little like an affectionate “my asshole friend here.” The opposite is also true, Ai can be softened and applied for affection.

Fiat uses Ai’Leeooo with Leo all the time in Don’t Say No. It’s a kind of bratty affection coming from him. Leo, on the other hand, only uses Ai’Fiat when he is annoyed af with his boy. (Remember these two are the same age.)

Ai+name, as a result, almost always implies a downgrade (formality wise) it's used as a sarcastic contrast (rude informal) to what it once was in older versions of the language (formal).

Ai'Hia

Right, so basically, Kuea called Lian his "asshole master" or something roughly equivalent to that in this scene in Episode 5. 

There's extreme contrast in this (contrast = surprise = humor). He contrasted not just an extremely formal type of address, Hia, with an informal one, Ai, but he combined two pronouns that also function as honorifics, but in a highly dishonorable way: Mister Jerkface. Which is a secondary contrast of rude vs polite. That’s double down funny. 

He did all of this while ALSO dropping to low register, so all his other particles and pronouns became informal (or entirely absent). This is how you would talk to a peer/friend. I talk about Duen being the biggest linguistic brat in BL (My Engineer) - this is what he does. 

It's a really bratty and insulting thing to do to anyone older, let alone the older man who is courting you. Because it’s kind of like, linguistically, pulling the older boy down to your level.

Kuea is doing this out of frustration, but it gave Lian insight into how bratty (naughty) Kuea actually could be. (Which I think we all know Lian likes and wants.) But also how, when emotional, Kuea actually *thinks* of Lian more informally, more like lovers. That Kuea would perhaps like to be more relaxed around Lian. That all along Kuea has been performing his high register "good boy" behavior in an effort to both please Lian and be more of the perfect doll he thinks Lian wants.

Kuea’s slip up into informality, but especially using Ai'Hia, was the crack in his armor that Lian has been looking for all along.

It was hope.

It was also absolutely hilarious.

Prompt: O’Inari’s Wisdom — On any day during this week, people of the ages of 19-30 years old will go through a walk in the woods carrying a clear ornament (Traditionally it used to be a Jar). The ornament is usually filled with the person’s favorite scent or perfume, Name and Phone number on paper slip, and their dream type of lover on a rose petal. When walking through the woods, the person allows the God/Goddess of the woods O’inari’s Imps to trick them into meeting their soulmate. It is a must to switch ornaments with that first person they see for it is said the imps won’t allow them to leave the forest unless they do so.

Author Note: I decided to try a different writing style with the kiss scene this time. Tell me what you guys think.

“Hey (y/n), Bisky, What’s this?” Gon asks. His voice was hardly heard over the many chattering of the NPCS and other players in the city as you looked at him. Gon first shows Bisky, who was closer to him, a baby blue flier that you couldn’t quite read from where you were standing. “Is it some sort of Greed Island event?”

“Wait a minute. Gon do you not know what O’inari’s wisdom is?” Bisky questions, shocked. Walking over closer and looking from behind Bisky, you realize that the Winter Holiday of O’inari’s Wisdom was indeed taking place on Greed island. You were slightly surprised for a second but it soon started to make sense the more you thought about it. It had started snowing on the island recently and if the game was parallel to the times in the real world then it should also be December in the game. So it just made sense that Holidays were also coded into the game to match the changing seasons.

“Oh, so it’s a Holiday,” Gon says surprised once Bisky explains it to him, “We didn’t celebrate it on Whale Island. Maybe it’s because I was so young. But, at the very least, (y/n) will be able to celebrate it with us.”

“Huh?” You murmur confused. You never mentioned anything about doing it, “I’m not doing it. Actually, why would you think I would do it?”

“Well, you don’t have a boyfriend right? So you must have not done it yet. So you should do it! It will be fun!” Gon explains enthusiastically as Bisky nods in agreement. Of course, it was just straightforward thinking done by Gon, not thinking of other possible possibilities. Man, why exactly did Killua have to leave you to take the Hunter exam again?

“I actually have done the Holiday before,” You tell the two as you start to walk away, calling forth “book” as you do so. As you examine through your binder, you continued to explain what you meant to the younger boy, “I’ve actually done it many times. Sometimes doing a full week some years. Other times going to different locations from other cities or towns. But in all the years I’ve done, I never once heard nor bumped into anyone else in the forest. So I just gave up on th—”

Bisky suddenly cuts you off with a loud exaggerated gasp.

“Oh My~ Then that must mean you really do have a soulmate out there (y/n)! What powerful young love!!” Bisky states dreamily as sparkles and flowers seem to dance around her. All you can do is sigh at the older woman antics and continue on your way. Honestly, to you there was no way Soulmates could exist. Not a chance! There was just no science nor reason behind it. Nen could be explained. Monsters could be explained. But soulmates, not at all. It was just some made up myth with no hard facts.

As you make your way to the gate of Aiai, you feel Gon tug at your top to catch your attention.

“But, (y/n)?” You take your eyes away from your binder to look at Gon. “Do you think you could try? Perhaps one of the needed 99 slot cards is given at the event.”

“Oooo, good thinking Gon,” Bisky states looking at the flier and then looking at you. “With that possibility, I order you to do it then (y/n). Afterall, you are the only person who could do it out of us.”

You and Bisky stare at each other tensely for a little. Slightly challenging each other to step down until eventually you give up and finally look away. Even though you aren’t looking at her, you can hear Bisky doing a dance in success. “Fine then where do we go to take place in this event?”

“Apparently, you can get there by using an Accompany to Winterfell. We don’t even need to go there beforehand to use the accompany card.” As Bisky explains, you flip your binder and grab a spare accompany card. This is the last one from your binder so Gon and Bisky will have to start using their ones from now on. Well, Until you can get to Masadora to get some more.

“Okay then, let’s get this over with,” You state. Though for some reason you have an uneasy feeling in your stomach as you hold the card up. You wondered why, perhaps you felt nervous? But why would you? Greed Island was hardly crowded so this is the lowest chance of meeting someone during the Holiday. Maybe it was just the fact you haven’t done this tradition in a while. Yeah, that was probably just it, “Accompany on! To Winterfell!”

The crunching sound of snow is the only thing you hear as you walk through the forest. For what felt goes on for miles, all you have been seeing was snow covered pine trees. Not even birds or other sources of life have been spotted while you have been walking in this forest which was quite strange. How long have you been walking you wondered. It was hard to tell but you guessed maybe an hour or so?

Stopping next to a tree, you run your hand up it’s trunk somewhat tracing the engravement in it. You had already seen this before. It was like you have been going in circles, even though you have actually only been going straight. Was this some sort of test in the game? Maybe Gon was right about a specified slot card being here.

“Book!” In a poof, your binder opens up. Or, at least that's what you expect to happen. However, it doesn’t pop up. After calling the book a couple more times, you realize it was no use. It just doesn’t work. Was this some glitch in the game?

All of sudden, a rush of wind catches you off guard. It wasn’t just any breeze however, this gust of wind was similar to that of a giant icy blizzard. You cringe as the snow in the wind pricks and scratches at your skin. You needed to take cover from the harsh wind before you freeze to death.

Quickly, when you try to look around to find somewhere to take cover, something whips into your face, blinding you. As you struggle to pull it off of you, the wind suddenly comes to a complete stop. Weird, very weird. Finally getting it off of you and taking a good look at the item, you realize it was just an in-game scarf. Actually, you weren’t even sure it was an item from the game since it had a tag from the real world.

“Hey! That’s my sc—“ Turning around at the cheerful voice behind you, you see a familiar man a couple of feet away from you. You don’t understand why you recognize the man until he suddenly goes on guard and realization hits you. Wait a minute you remember that stance. He was a member of the Phantom Troupe wasn’t he? Shalnark, right? You quickly get on guard as well when he grabs an antenna from his pocket. An manipulator, huh? In a one on one fight like this, he has the clear advantage on you.

“Hey, I’m not here with the chain user,” You state, breaking the silence between you two. You weren’t usually someone to give up but avoiding a fight with him and going your separate ways is the best way to go in this situation. You wrap up Shalnark’s scarf and lightly toss it in front of his feet.

“I have no problems with you guys and I don’t want to fight you.” You continue as you start to walk backward, away from him. Hopefully, that woman, Pakunoda, told the other troupe members how you deteratarted Kurapika away from the option of placing a Nen dagger in her heart and helped spared their boss’ life.

It’s quiet and tense for a couple of minutes, not even the wind was blowing, before the blonde nods in agreement to your idea. You watch as he carefully picks up his scarf and then both of you two turn away from each other at the same time to walk away. Thankfully, counting on that woman seemed t—

All of sudden, after a couple of steps, the large gust of wind returns. You tried to fight against it and continue forward but it only seemed to grow stronger the more you tried. It grew so strong in fact that it lifted you right off your feet and threw you backward. You hoped to land on the soft snow but, of course with your luck, you hit something else very hard with a loud thump. Originally, you thought it was a tree that you hit but once you roll onto your side, you come to the realization that whatever you landed on doesn’t feel anything like tree bark.

“Ow! What was that…” Shooting up at the voice, You realize it was Shalnark that you had hit. You attempt to scurry away from him fast however, as soon as you get too far away, a gust of wind drags him back towards you. You pause as Shalnark lifts his head from being buried in the snow and looks at you confused.

“I-It’s some sort of error in the game. I swear. Maybe with the coding? Or—“ You blab out in a tangent trying to explain what was going on. Soon however, Shalnark sighs loudly, cutting you off.

“That’s a really stupid conclusion you cam up with. If you had once stop to look around you in this game, you would have realized this place, Greed Island, actually takes place in the real world. Specifically a straight shot east of York New.” Shalnark explains, somewhat sarcastically. All you do is roll your eyes. Of course you got stuck with the jackass of the troupe.

“Well then since this game isn’t actually a game, what do you think is going on, if you think you are oh so right?” You spat back at him. For some reason, you just couldn’t understand why he was being so rude in this situation, it was clearly neither of yours fault.

“Simple. This,” Shalnark states confidently as he takes the ornament from his pocket and lifts it up to you. You can’t help but laugh loudly at the idea, causing him to scowl at you.

“Y-You can’t be serious?! You and I? Soulmates!?”

“Of course! You do realize that in the myth it’s impossible for us to leave until we exchange our ornaments.” Shalnark explains, tossing his ornament at you. Clutching it in your hand, you quickly examine the ornament before scoffing.

“Yeah, not a chance,” You state as you toss his ornament back to him, causing Shalnark to sputter confused. “In no ways am I giving my personal information and phone number to the tech expert of the phantom troupe. That’s just plain stupid.”

You and Shalnark bicker on back and forth for a while until eventually he goes quiet and just glares at you. Honestly, in your opinion, it was better if he just chose to quit talking. He snaps his fingers catching you off guard, “Okay I have an idea! How about I try to convince you we are destine—”

“Soulmates?” You finish for him, slightly cringing.

“Yeah, that! And if I can convince you, then you can feel safe to give me your ornament so we can both leave.”

You ponder a little on the option he suggested. Honestly, you actually didn’t have much of any others option to begin with, “Fine. What do you got to convince me?”

“Well, first,” You watch closely as Shalnark grabs the Rose petal out from his ornament. Oh, you knew where this was going, that was actually a smart idea. Maybe this guy actually had some brain cells. “I’m going to read off my dream type of lover. I bet this will describes you.”

Reading off his petal to you, you listen carefully. As the more he goes on, you can’t deny that it did somewhat describe you, almost on the dime. As Shalnark shows the petal to you to prove he wasn’t making stuff up, You decide to grab your own petal. He seems to get excited that you finally understood what he was saying.

“See I tol—“ Shalnark is cut off when you let out a loud laugh.

“Yeah no way. Mine is ‘Someone who is like the sun; always cheerful as well as mentally bright.’” You read off, chucking it back into the ornament.

“Hey! I’m pretty cheerful! And bright!” Shalnark states, finally flashing you a smile for the first time you’ve been with him.

“Ha, I doubt that.” You say, though you can’t help but feel your heart skip a beat at how handsome he looked with a smile on his face. Your eyes go wide and you mentally slap yourself. What in the world were you thinking just now? You were flustered over him?!, “N-Next! What’s your other ideas?!”

“Aw come on!”

After a couple of more attempts from Shalnark to prove you two are soulmates, as well as many more confused borderline bipolar back and forth feelings on your end, Shalnark has run out of ideas and you two sit in silence as he tries to come up with more.

“Is that all the ideas you have?” You ask him shivering slightly as you pull your jacket closer for warmth. Looking up towards the sky above the thick pine branches, you see that it had just started to get darker out, effectively making it ten times colder as well. It now dawns on you that at this rate with your progress, you two could possibly freeze to death out here if you couldn’t get to a warm shelter before night.

“Shalnark. Here I—“ You suddenly pause what you were saying as you turn to face the man, “what the hell do you think you are doing…?”

You looked confused at Shalnark, who had moved closer to sit next to you. You didn’t know what he was up to but you definitely still didn’t trust him. As you try to lift yourself up to move away, Shalnark quickly grabs your wrist to keep you put where you were. Oh hell no. You struggle against his grip, attempting to pry his fingers off of your wrist but while you are distracted he uses his other hand to grab your arm. Effectively trapping you.

You struggle against him a little more but it only causes him to push you backwards down into the snow, him slightly leaning over you. Now nervous about what Shalnark was possibly doing, you shout out to him, “H-hey! I’ll give you the ornament okay? I don’t want—“

You feel the rest of your words die in your throat as Shalnark leans his forehead against yours, causing him to get very close to your face as well. Biting the inside of your mouth, you close your eyes tightly as a way to try calming your pounding heart. You couldn’t tell if your heart was racing out of fear or possibly something else. Though, again, it wasn’t like you could think straight at this point on time to figure which one. Cutting off your thoughts, Shalnark lets out a boyish giggle and tells you, “For someone who says they hate me and doesn’t believe in soulmates, your face sure is feeling quite hot. It’s almost as if you are flustered by me.”

Quickly, most likely in an attempt to save your dignity, you turn your face away to him so his face could no longer touch yours. As you do so, your heart leaps out of your chest when you hear him let out a small aww in disappointment.

“H-hey! I said I’ll give you my ornament so let go of me!” You sputter out, trying and likely failing at keeping yourself composed. You know it’s hard for you to think logically in a situation like this but you would’ve thought you had enough common sense in you to not get flustered by a mass murder.

“Hmmmm… Nope” Shalnark answers, popping the “p” at the end. Surprised and bewildered, You whirl your head around back to look at him. He seemed to get a kick out of your reaction because he can’t help but laugh. “You are correct by the fact that all I wanted originally was to take the ornament and leave. But the more we went on, talking and bickering, I realized I wanted something else.”

“H-huh? What? I don’t have much of anything else.” You questioned. Was he talking about cards in the game? Gon carried all of the number slot cards so you didn’t have anything that was useful to Shalnark.

“Silly girl~ It’s simple.” Shalnark flashes you a smile as he boops your nose with each next word, “I. Want. You~”

As you give a weird expression in response to Shalnark flirting attempt, he looks at you confused as to why you looked like that before full on laughing, when what looked like steam started to flow from out of your head. He couldn’t believe he fried your brain with a silly pick up line. It wasn’t even a good one either.

“Adorable~” Shalnark whispers out so softly and quietly that you almost don’t hear it. You go to ask him to repeat what he said again, but stop when he leans down. He wasn’t—

You can only watch as he inches closer and closer to your face. You don’t get why you don’t stop him, you know you probably should. But you just couldn’t for some reason you didn’t quite understand.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Shalnark kisses you. Stealing your first kiss, a precious thing you could never be able to get back from him. Though you doubt you would even try if you were able to.

As his lips moved against yours, you had to admit they were surprisingly soft, not at all rough or chapped like what the very few romance books you’ve read over the years described. Though you had to admit those boorish books were right about one thing, kissing someone was a feeling you’ve never once experienced before in your life. Authors have described the experience in many different ways but as Shalnark pulls away from your lips only to dive it once. Twice. And so many more times that you’ve lost count, you realize yours wasn’t like the ones written down. It didn’t take your breath away, it wasn’t rough or deep, it wasn’t messy or desperate.

But, it was yours. A feverish kiss if you must find a word to describe it. A kiss that even while pushed down into the freezing cold snow, you felt you were burning up inside. So much so, that your brain seemed to melt and your muscles turned to jelly from an non existent heat.

Finally after a while, you two pull away from each other, still in a trance like state from what happened. It’s quiet, nothing is heard nor said between you two as you just stare at each other. You know it is now dark out. You know you should be trying to get back to Gon and Bisky before they worry. You know it would be in your best interests to try to get away as far as you can from the dangerous man before you. You know you shouldn’t be feeling such feelings for him, for it is too soon and he probably doesn’t even deserve to be able to experience a pleasant emotion like this one. You know all these things almost as if they are engraved in your heart.

But, even when knowing all these things, you can’t stop yourself from dragging Shalnark back in to give you another kiss.

Rikyako sighs in between catching her breath, wiping her sweat off her face with a towel in hand as she walked to an open seat in the gathering room with the long white tables.

I’m exhausted…

Rikyako notices that Aikyan sits directly opposite of her and she feels her heartbeat speed up when it should be slowing back down after their dance practice.

Ah… Aikyan is…sitting in front of me… Wiping her sweat…smiling…

“…might not be getting that part right?”

To Ainya.

Laughter bubbles out of Aikyan as she shakes her hand, reassuring Ainya and agreeing at the same time. “Yes, you should probably turn a little slower and then…Ha!”

“Ha!” Ainya mimics as taught then giggles.

Aikyan laughs along and turns back in front, catching Rikyako staring, their eyes meet and Rikyako hopes her face is still flushed from earlier instead of being caught blushing because she was staring at Aikyan.

Gosh, what do I do when I keep blushing just from our eyes meeting??

Rikyako raises her towel to use wiping her sweat as an excuse for breaking the eye contact. When she hears Aikyan talking to Ainya again, she sighs under her breath turning her head again to see that the other girls were drinking sports drinks and cooling off.

Some even wiping each other’s sweat – and by some – it was Anju and Shuka, smiling tiredly but blissfully as they pushed the towel on each other’s exposed skin to clean the sweat off, laughing about whatever they were talking about. Rikyako felt a tinge of envy.

Anchan and Shuka look so cute together… I mean they are and… If only I…

Rikyako looks back to the person who comes to mind whenever she thinks of a romantic partner and when their eyes meet again, Rikyako drops her head immediately to stare at a space on the table.

Eh!? W-Was Aikyan looking at me? Am I imagining things?

Ainya for once was sharp and noticed something going on between Rikyako and Aikyan, or perhaps it was her spot-on gay sense tingling again, but the small and cute singer asks, “Is there something you want to say to Kyan, Rikyako?”

“Eh? No…I… No?” Rikyako smiles a confused smile to Ainya, trying and failing to not let her eyes peek back at Aikyan to see her face, that beautiful porcelain face and just to see if she was looking.

If Anchan and Shuka are literal magnets, my eyes and Aikyan just might be the next magnetic thing since I cannot seem to not look. At. Her!! Aaahhh!

Rikyako kept up the serene smile while she panicked on the inside. Conflicted at how badly she wants to openly stare at Aikyan whom she has a crush on and wanted to not admit to it. Or not admit it to the world.

Ainya hums thoughtfully. “Hmm… You’ve been looking at her though.”

“N-No. I was not!” Rikyako feels her cheeks grew hot again at being called out for her blatant staring.

Ahh, was I that obvious about it??

“Hmm… Lately, you’ve been doing that a lot.” Ainya pushes.

“You’re misunderstanding things…” Rikyako does look to Aikyan again, however, and quickly averts her gaze when their eyes meet, causing Rikyako’s heart to skip a beat again.

What is with those eyes and their magic capability to make my heart do those somersault kinds of things!!

Averting her gaze by turning her head away again, Rikyako happens to make eye contact with Shuka on the left side, just done giving Anju some headpats for doing well in today’s dance practice; the leader of Aqours giving a silly “Heh heh heh” to Shuka.

Ah… I wish I could be as honest as Shuka…

Rikyako manages to avoid having to explain her obvious staring and constant fidgety behaviour around Aikyan and with everyone changed out of their practice wear and into their casual clothes; everyone was free to leave the dance studio and do what they want for the rest of the day.

Maybe I could ask Shuka for advice…

Rikyako has been thinking long and hard about this, ever since she realized her growing feelings for her groupmate who was also her subunit mate, all the time spent together and the impossible heart racing she had to live with when they were close..! Rikyako wanted some progress and felt like it would be best to confide to someone.

Shuka is always such a good listener to what I have to say…

But getting Shuka alone was hard. Shuka was almost always with someone if not Anju!

Gosh, are you forever with Anchan or what??

When resting, she was with Anju. When changing, she was talking to Anju. When walking about she was chilling with Anju! And on other times when Rikyako thought Shuka was alone, the girl was chatting with another member!!!

When will Shuka give me a chance to get her alone..! Mou!

Shuka was just about to flutter over to AiAi to chat when she lets out a surprised yelp as she was pulled by her arm backwards. “Rikyako? What’s up?”

“Can we talk for a bit? I…need your advice on something.” Rikyako blinks nervously as she blurts out her intentions.

Shuka smiles a wry smile, seemingly having a hunch on what is up. “Your treat?”

She’s a literal little sister.

“Fine.” Rikyako returns a relaxed smile at Shuka grinning cutely to get treated.

At the café, Rikyako chose a corner of the store where it was quieter and less busy to sit at. Not wanting any possible eavesdroppers and also not wanting to get overly conscious about people’s gazes.

Shuka scoots into her spot and grins. “I’ll have a Chocolate Chip Crème Frappuccino and a…Blueberry Crumble Muffin!”

Rikyako chuckles. “Sure, sure.”

Hmm… What should I get..?

Rikyako heads up to the counter, with one person ordering in front, she took the time to browse the menu and display of pastries.

What should I ask Shuka first..? About how to be confident about my feelings..? Or about how to confess..? I guess this should be obvious.

It was her turn to order so Rikyako steps up with a soft smile greeting the cashier. “May I have a Chocolate Chip Crème Frappuccino, a Mocha Frappuccino, and one Blueberry Crumble Muffin?”

“One Chocolate Chip Crème Frappuccino, one Mocha Frappuccino, and one Blueberry Crumble Muffin. And the name..?”

“Ah. Ka-chan.” Rikyako says and lowers her head as she remembers how she thought the rest of the girls were calling her mum when they meant to use the ‘ka’ in her Rikako.

The cashier lady probably did not think much about it but Rikyako still felt slight embarrassment from her silliness.

Maybe I should have said RKK.

Rikyako makes the payment and decides to wait about instead of going back to her seat; wanting just a few more minutes to think of what she might want to ask Shuka for help with.

It’s this day and age already and yet… I can’t help but feel that there’s a chance that Aikyan might not like me that way…

Rikyako shakes her head lightly.

No, that’s not it… I’m worried…about what others would think. Everyone seems open-minded, especially seen with Anchan and Shuka’s relationship reveal…

Rikyako closes her eyes as her eyebrows knitted together.

No… There’s no point lying to myself. The problem here is that… I’m worried about what the world thinks about me being in love with another girl…

Rikyako sighs just as her name was called.

“Ka-chan.”

Rikyako puts on a smile quickly as she took her orders onto a tray and returns to Shuka who pushed her phone to the side and gave Rikyako a smile and thanks.

Somehow… I don’t feel as scared about these feelings when looking at Shuka.

“Ooh~ This looks yummy.” Shuka held the fork in hand as she eyed her dessert. “Oh, you didn’t get yourself something?”

“No, I got to keep my calorie count checked.” Rikyako smirks and Shuka laughs.

“Right, right. There was that.” Shuka takes a bite and elicits a happy sound.

So carefree…

“Were you texting Anchan?”

“Mm. Was it that obvious?” Shuka nods, swallows, and replies.

Rikyako sips her drink. “Now that I think about it, it was quite the redundant question since you two are always texting when apart.”

Shuka’s cheeks pinken slightly. “That’s not true.”

Rikyako shakes her head with a fond smile at the younger girl’s bashfulness. “Did you…tell Anchan that you’re with me?”

Shuka seems thoughtful for a moment before nodding. “She was going to take me out on a date after all.”

“Oh.” Rikyako’s eyes widens slightly. “I’m sorry, if you got something on-”

“Was.” Shuka repeats then smiles widely. “Anju texted me that she can’t believe she got beaten by you in asking me out~”

Oh… So they have yet to make plans… Thank goodness.

“It is truly hard to believe since you two are stuck together like glue!” Rikyako shakes her head again, giving herself a mental pat on the back for being able to get Shuka alone.

Shuka laughs. “It would seem to be the case.”

“It is the case!” Rikyako chuckles at Shuka’s funny smile and shaking of her head, pretending to be in denial.

Granting some silence to munch on the muffin and drink their drinks, Rikyako fidgeted with the paper that once held the straw till it was all crumpled up nicely.

“Shuka…”

“Yeah?”

“How did you decide that…you are 100% gay for Anchan?” Rikyako squishes the paper in her hand tightly, nervous about whatever answer she could be getting, nervous about the topic.

Ahhh.

Shuka looks right at Rikyako before reacting. “Pfft, how I fell in love with Anju? That’s easy-”

“The being gay part is important too.” Rikyako hurries to emphasize.

“I know. And you’re overthinking things, Rikyako.” Shuka had a gentle smile on her lips and Rikyako felt her tenseness reduce a little.

“Love is love. Regardless of gender. Anju is Anju. So… I fell in love with her.”

Rikyako nods, listening intently.

Love is love… Anchan is Anchan and so… Shuka who is Shuka. Fell in love with Anchan…

“And Kyan is Kyan. You’re in love with Kobayashi Aika-san. Correct?”

Kyan is Kyan. And I’m in love with—

Rikyako’s eyes bulged and her mouth fell agape in surprise as Shuka had a big smug grin, looking ridiculous as she waggled her eyebrows teasingly at Rikyako.

“H-How did you..?” Rikyako’s face was hot and red.

“Call it women’s intuition!” Shuka cackles.

Rikyako snorts. “Even though you’re a kid.”

“Hey! I’m already an adult!” Shuka puffs her cheeks out indignantly at Rikyako who forgets about her own crush problems as a tease bubbled in her mind and out her mouth.

“Anchan made you an adult?”

“Wha— T-That’s not the point!” Shuka blushes immediately causing Rikyako to blush a little more too.

“She did, huh…” Rikyako looks away and so does Shuka.

I guess that should be expected but aahhhh..!! No, don’t imagine it, Rikako. Shuka is too pure to be…to be… by Anchan…! No stop. The images. Aaahh!

Shuka fidgets with the straw in her drink, stirring the contents randomly. “Can we not talk of that right now?”

With extra reddened cheeks, Rikyako nods and mumbles. “Looks like I will need to look for you for help again if I can…come to terms with myself and find the courage to…”

Confess…///

“R-Right. I’m here for you, Aida.”

“Saitou.”

Rikyako and Shuka share a staring match before bursting into laughter.

Shuka was finished with her blueberry muffin when she props her chin on her hand. “So…Do you think you will be able to confess to Aikyan?”

“Don’t think so…” Rikyako sighs as she glanced at Shuka and back down at the table.

I know I’m in love with Aikyan but how am I supposed to even go about confessing to her???

“Rikyako.” Shuka calls for the older girl’s attention.

When Rikyako looks up into earnest brown eyes, she could not help but sit up straighter.

“Tell me who you love.”

“Eh? You already know..?” Rikyako’s eyebrows furrow in confusion.

“Tell me who you love.” Shuka repeats with a small nod, trusting that Rikyako will catch on.

Oh… She wants me to say it aloud.

“I…” Rikyako begins and finds her voice stuck.

“I… I love…” Rikyako licks her lips and grabs her drink to help with this sudden dryness of her lips.

Why is it so hard??

Shuka waits patiently, subtly placing her drink to the side, giving Rikyako her full attention.

“I love… …”

Rikyako wanted to let out another sigh, wanted to give up and say it was too difficult for her to do so right now. Maybe she needed another day. A few more hours. Some alone time to pep-talk herself. But before she could—

“Riiikyako.” Shuka drags the first syllable for a bit and Rikyako looks up to see that patient smile again; the magic of Shuka’s smile already stealing some tension away from Rikyako’s creased eyebrows and heavy shoulders. “Just think about her. Don’t think about anything else. …Then tell me who it is.”

I love… the one I love…

“She’s lovely.”

“I’m sure she is.” Shuka’s lips pull higher as she knew it was working.

“She’s kind. And patient.”

Shuka nods and Rikyako feels something bubbling inside her – the desire to talk about the person she loves.

“She’s silly and funny. And she makes me laugh and knows me. Like, like no other…” Rikyako unknowingly lets out a dreamy sigh as she thought of her crush.

Shuka nods encouragingly.

“She’s someone that I wish to be able to…be together more. And to… h-h-hold hands with… Like you and Anchan do.”

Shuka chuckles softly. “I’m sure you’ll get to.”

“And…maybe get a kabedon or two…” Rikyako scratches her pinkened cheeks at the idea.

Shuka giggles. “She’d get embarrassed too though.”

“Very much so.” Rikyako giggles along.

“I love that about her too.”

“Me too…”

“Who is this wonderful person~?” Shuka sing-songs.

“She’s… Kobayashi Aika. I’m sure you know her too.” Rikyako grins, a glint in her eyes and a weight off her chest.

“I love Aikyan…” Rikyako says aloud, in a gentle tone, in a voice filled with so much love that it surprised herself.

Shuka beams from ear to ear. “Now go tell her that!”

“O-One step at a time!” Rikyako covers her face with both hands; failing to hide the wide smile she could not help but smile at admitting the enormous love she feels for Aikyan.

Confessing was a hurdle for another day. Right now, Rikyako simply felt lighter, like she could float up into the air with just these feelings of love she has for Aikyan. And she loved the feeling.

I thought it’d be cute to touch on Rikyako being a little unsure about…admitting her feelings. It’s something that isn’t easy after all! And even if it’s so freaking obvious that she has a big crush on Aikyan, it doesn’t mean that Rikyako herself wouldn’t be worrying about it~ :))))

Also since Rikyako loves mentioning how much she likes that Shuka listens to her talk; why not let Shuka be the wingwoman while I have some of my favourite AnShuka in this right? Hehehe~ UwU

So today I went to the CYaRon Live and Fan Meeting in Osaka. 2/17/2019, evening show. Same as the live viewing.

For people attending the actual show, if you show your ticket you get to write messages on their battle flag and whichever ones happen to grab their attention are acknowledged during the show.

I didn't really know what to write on AZALEA's flag when I saw them in Nagoya, and was also the first show so I didn't really know about it. So I thought for months and MONTHS about what to write for CYaRon. This is what I wrote:

It says "I'm happy! I am an American female fan who loves Ruby!!! from Luna"

I'm not the best artist but I tried to darken it in and make it pop out as much as possible. I also wrote it to the upper right, which is right where someone usually grips the flag.

I did briefly think about things I might say if they actually read it, but not very hard as I didn't believe it would actually happen and didn't want to get my hopes up.

So the show starts, they get to the flag part, and I notice Aiai is holding the section of the flag I wrote on. And I was like oh? Wait.. Oh????

And then she started to read something that started familiar and I was like OH. NO. OH NO WAY OH and everything I might have planned to say just flew out the window and all I could do was jump up and down waving my dark pink concert lights. (So much so I actually think I kinda pulled a muscle in my shoulder...)

I was pretty far from the stage so I don't know if they could see me that well nor recognize me from the Nagoya theater greeting show I was also at. But they all waved to me and I waved back as I was just like shaking and starting to cry and ow my shoulder and I was desperatly thinking of something to say.

Finally Aiai said "Thank you!"

And I said "You're welcome!"

I tried but I don't know if I was loud enough to be heard on the live viewing or not. I'd really like to know. If you happen to hear about this somewhere in an event report or actually saw it in the live viewing THAT WAS LITERALLY ME.

I don't even know what to do with myself now. Just like.

My ultimate goal in this fandom was to see all 9 members of Aqours live together. And I still want that... but...

Being directly recognized by an Aqours member. Living knowing that CYaRon knows I exist. This was better. Even if I keep losing all the lotteries to Next Sparkling... I won't feel so bad about it anymore... This was it.

B.L.T September 2018 ft. Aqours - Interview with Inami Anju

“Please look at the 9 of them, who struggled with all their might to overcome their obstacles”

Q: As a member of Aqours, please give us your thoughts about your activities up to today.

A: Upon reflecting on everything that has happened, it feels like we’ve been pushing forward with all we had every single moment. Since “Love Live!” came before “Love Live! Sunshine!!”, there were a lot of things that made me overthink and worried me. As we continued along this path, it was as if we finally made it out of the forest and saw the scenery that spread out before us… The year leading up to our 1st Live felt really long. After that, it was as if our emotions and horizons broadened a lot, which made time seem to fly after our 1st Live.

Q: After performing in Hakodate in April, the 2 members of Saint Snow joined you for your 3rd Live, causing quite a stir.

A: The first time we performed together was during the Hakodate Unit Carnival, which seemed very much like a performance by the 4 different subunits individually. Since they brought to the table something none of us could bring, it was really exciting. At the same time, I also saw them really nervous, even if it was just for a while. I’m sure they felt the same uncertainty that we held in our hearts up till our 1st Live, as well as the emotional moment of hearing everyone’s loud cheers on stage. That’s what I felt after observing them.

Q: Looking back on the project as a whole, are there any parts of it that you’d want fans to pay particular attention to?

A: I guess it’d be how Aqours are “School idols leaping out of Numazu”. All 9 of them struggling with all their might and overcoming their obstacles. To me, those are the most impactful scenes of the anime. In particular, after the end of the anime’s second season, I felt like I gave it my all, until I no longer remember anything about it. What Chika thought, what Chika felt, I put all of that into one single moment. I gave my all for her, so much so that I didn’t have the time to think about anything else, in a good way, of course.

Q: Please give us a few words about the upcoming Live & Fan Meeting 2018 – Subunit Battle Tour.

A: CYaRon currently has a two-time losing streak in these subunit battles, so I really want to win next time (lol). The part I’d like everyone to pay the most attention to is the light and warm atmosphere only the three of us can create. Both Aiai and Shuka are really kind and warm and since we’re a subunit that’s really laid-back and free, I’d like everyone to experience that very laid-back feeling during our fan meetings.

Q: In commemoration of your 4th Live in November, its theme song “Thank you, FRIENDS!!” was announced a while back.

A: When I first heard it, it gave off a feeling of a first encounter. It’s a song that made me think “Oh, it’s our song”. It’s a song that makes one tune in to the lyrics and look back on the many things that have happened. It makes one feel a little lonely, but also warm at the same time. Towards the end, one gets excited, since it’s a song that foretells the creation of even more wonderful scenes in the future.

Q: Do you already have an image of how this song will be performed at Tokyo Dome?

A: Not really, no. This goes for the lives that we’ve already performed too, but I’m really amazed by how everyone at the venue naturally becomes one, it’s an atmosphere that I can’t fully grasp until I see it with my own eyes. I always take off my ear monitors to hear everyone’s voices clearly. It’ll be nice if we could come up with lots and lots of things to deliver on stage on that day, to recreate a similar scene at Tokyo Dome as well.

What moment made you think "It's a miracle!"? Meeting all my fans.

What do you aspire to do in 2018? I'll put all my strength into accomplish everything that falls onto my plate!

So after my stint at Keller Keller Cave, drunk AF, I proceeded to buy souvenirs at a nearby shop. In the middle of it all, a staff hastily approached me and said,

“Okyakusan! *unintelligible Japanese, because I was drunk AF*”

She then dragged me back to the aisle where I got my souvenirs, took everything I put in the basket back to the shelf, and replaced them with actual goods. Apparently I was so drunk, I took the sample displays and put them in the basket instead of taking actual the goods for sale XD I was laughing on my way home after that XD

See?? These are the kinds of stories I get drunk for! :)))

Back at the hotel, I borrowed a keiryou-ki (weighing scale; not to be confused with karaoke) to check if my baggage weight was gonna be fine.

Shoichi goes on to explain that “this shape will create six rings. It’ll create one ring per hour.”

“The core will release high density data to external networks.”

Ai asks what happens then.

“Computers can’t withstand this high density data. Records and programs connected to the network will vanish. Power plants, hospitals, transportation… the world will be in a huge panic. Humanity will revert to an era when there were no computers.”

“Maybe not. If Revolver’s goal is to erase you, I’m sure he planned for that.” True true

Shoichi goes on: “The high density data will take down major devices in a chain reaction.  the resulting pulse will be magnified and transmitted. So devices not connected to the network will also be destroyed. It’s like an EMP weapon.”

“And you (Ai) will be erased.”

October 2017 Photo Technique Digitial - Furihata Ai Interview

The location of today's photoshoot is at Seibuen Amusement Park. Have you been to amusement parks privately before?

I used to frequently visit places like the gardens or Disneyland, but I haven’t visited these places recently. I finally got the chance to visit amusement parks again! It's also my first time in Seibuen Amusement Park, so I am really happy. There is a swimming pool here, and the location is also very close to Seibu Dome!

Let’s put aside the live concert in Seibu Prince Dome on September 29 & 30... and focus on the outfits! In this photoshoot, the outfits used are the summer school uniforms from "Love Live! Sunshine!!" and the stage outfit for the song "Yume de Yozora wo Terashitai". Furihata-san chose the yukata and the popular retro style attire herself.

I like all of the outfits mentioned very much. I wanted to change the colour and the impression from the last cover (April 2017), so I chose a retro style attire that has some casual feel to it.

After putting on the makeup, your sudden appearance with long hair surprised people (laughs). Did Furihata-san request the usage of a wig?

I felt that it matches the yukata, so I wanted to try it out!

The yukata fits you well! I guess you really like yukatas and kimonos.

Last autumn, I rented a kimono from the kimono rental shop "shim" with my friend to take a walk in Asakusa. The attire used this time also came from the same shop. "shim" has very unique yukatas: they have a sense of retro style, and yet they’re also fashionable, so I wanted to put them on!

The earrings that you wore when you were in your yukata is your personal item.

There is a vintage clothing store that I really liked in Shimokitazawa. I came across these earrings when I was shopping with my younger sister.

Ah. You must have a nice relationship with your brother and sister since you shop together with them sometimes.

When they are around, I prefer to ask them "Let's go out and take a walk!" rather than going out alone. When I go out with my brother, we would usually visit the bathhouse near our house.

Eh eh~! Such a great relationship!

They are all good kids. Even though we are always quarrelling (laughs). When I was quarreling with my sister, my brother would arbitrate. When I was quarreling with my brother, my sister would arbitrate. Even though it is a bit noisy, I feel relieved whenever I come home and see them around (laughs).

What a really nice sister-brother, sister-sister relationship! Which Aqours member is most similar to the usual Furihata-san?

How do I put it... uh, hmm... As expected, it’s Ruby. Even though Ruby is a "little sister" character, she has an unexpectedly reliable side to her personality. Besides that, I am constantly thinking about getting closer to Ruby, and also looking for areas of similarities between us.

So it is. This must be the secret to playing a character well. Now, let's discuss the live concert tour. It's Aqours' first live tour.

Yes it is. I was very anxious at first, but when it began it was like "Oh no, I'm so happy!". We are performing for two days at each venue, and there are the live viewings as well. I am very happy that there is a chance that many people would be able to see the live performance.

I want everyone to see a different me in each performance. Whenever I think about how I should present Ruby to the fans, and what kind of style I should be performing in, it fills me with excitement. I want to show fully not only the cute side of Ruby, but the cool side of hers to everyone too (laughs).

What are the fan's reactions?

At a distance where it seems that you are able to reach the audience when you stretch out your hands, everyone smiled brightly. In that moment I try my best to see all of their faces clearly, and wave to them with all my might!

There were scenes where you cried last time at the live concert in Yokohama Arena. What do you think will happen this time?

Instead of saying it was tears, it’s more suitable to say that I was sweating profusely (laughs). Whenever I think that "I must put my heart and soul into this!", it makes me so excited. I really enjoyed the parts where I could dance excitedly without losing any of my coolness.

What kind of Ruby can we expect to see in the upcoming live concert on September 29 & 30 at Seibu Prince Dome?

I would like to show a Ruby that has even more confidence than the one in Nagoya and Kobe. When I was sitting on the ferris wheel for the photoshoot today, I saw the Seibu Prince Dome through the windows.

It was really huge, and I thought to myself "We are going to perform in a venue this big!?". Even though it’s hard for me to imagine... I will still perform confidently!

Looking forward to it! Also, the highly-anticipated second season of "Love Live! Sunshine!!" is about to start airing in October! Can you reveal some details about it?

In a sense, each aspects of the show have been improved, but personally, I would say Ruby is going to be overloaded with cuteness!

They are going to make her even more adorable?

The part where she meets people for the first time should make it even more obvious. (laughs)

They are also going to make Ruby stand out more? (laughs).

Also, they will enhance Aqours' cohesion, and it'll be a product that shows its overflowing love towards Numazu. It goes without saying to please look forward to the music too!

We really can’t wait! Finally, the magazine will be starting the serialization of "Furihata's Photo Studio" in November! Every issue will have a theme of its own. The photography will be handled by Furihata-san, while Asaka-san will be writing the contents of the photography guide.

I am overjoyed. Is it okay for so many things to turn into reality, one by one? (laughs) There are a lot of things I want to capture with my camera, and I also want to visit many kinds of places to capture different types of pictures. Even though I have said I am interested in cameras, I have no idea on how to use the various functions of the digital camera. I even have a compilation of the questions that I need help with.

In the stream "Punkichi no Himitsukichi" where I was the host, there was a part where I could judge the photos that the fans had sent in (laughs). Even though I criticized them a lot, in reality, I have no professional knowledge. So I want to be able to hold the camera with confidence, and display that figure to everyone.

There could be the day when Furihata-san teaches others..

Indeed, I do want to teach people! Once I have learned how to use lighting for photography, I would like to try and take photos of people.

You were able to design the logo for the official t-shirt of "Furihata's Photo Studio" too.

Of course! In the serialization, there won't be just the photography guides, there will be T-shirts, merchandise, photography exhibitions,etc. There are a lot of things that I want to achieve, so I want to fumble around while trying many different things.

The live concert in Seibu Prince Dome, the second season of the anime, the new serialization... The rest of 2017 still has a lot to offer you!

I really can't wait for everything to happen! I will be in your care!
