Osomatsu-san the live-action movie With English subs now available for download (along with another English subbed version of The Hipipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit)

Finally found a version of the live action version of the Osomatsu san movie with English subtitles! Sapphire Luna over on twitter has done a full translation and put it up to watch online and for download:

I am so happy and excited to finally find an English subtitled version of the live-action movie Osomatsu-san AND another translation of The Hipipo Tribe. The more fan translations there are of the Osomatsu san movies (and any other Osomatsu things out there) the better. Not only because more versions means more people are going to get the chance to see it (and it's less likely that all of them will be taken down), but because translations always come out a little differently when different people do them so each one inevitably has its own voice. It gives you the chance to experience something you enjoy in a new and unique way when a different translation becomes available. I hope we get a hundred of them, for real, seriously, I love this so much.

Anyway, spread this around, and let me know if you find any other fan subs of the movies online because I want to collect as many as I can! Hopefully cool and talented people will be willing to sub the next movie when it comes out as well! Keep circulating the tapes.

[Warning for a lot of sexism and male friends deceiving women for condescending reasons. Yeah. Sorry we come back off hiatus for this. It's part of the reason there was an hiatus to begin with.]

Three days later, the ship prepared by Arthur awaited patiently for Bleu's group to board it.

"It looks really small, for a ship meant to cross between continents," Karin mumbled as she looked at the vessel in front of her.

"It's the one Arthur's team picked. There's nothing wrong about it." Bleu paused before continuing. "Well then, I'm going to give the governor my farewells, so you and Karna go ahead and board. Tyrin and the others should be coming soon. After all, if you're early you get to pick the best rooms."

Bleu pushed them inside, and then hurried off. His behavior wasn't convincing. But, Karin couldn't realize right away what was off.

"Let's go, Karna."

Calling out to the girl, she headed to the ship she was pointed to.

"Alright," Karna answered happily, and boarded after Karin. In the end, she had hardened her resolve to cross to Parmecia with the group. Her feelings against leaving them were stronger right now than her wish to seek out Gong and become his disciple.

And thus, the ship departed with the two onboard.

Only once the sun had gone down did Camallia managed to yell at Bleu for it.

She had been told that they would only depart the next day, and had realized that the two girls were missing.

Bleu was in the same room as Tyrin.

"Was it you who planned to deceive them like this? Or did Tyrin put it in your head?"

Her breathing was ragged with fury.

"I had no choice. I knew that there was no way they'd stay quietly in Rune. Even so, I don't want to bring them to Parmecia."

Camallia could understand the reason, but couldn't stand the method.

"You look down on them. Besides, would those two even give up just from something like this?"

"It's fine. Even if they turn around after reaching Waral, we'll have already departed to Parmecia by then," Tyrin answered, putting on the airs of a strategist.

Camallia glared at him, telling him that such assessment also underestimated them.

"Then, why are you taking Tyrin and Randolf along?" She asked Bleu. Since he struggled to answer, Tyrin opened his mouth in his place.

The following day, Bleu took the ship and departed from Uranbatol.

Besides the ship crew chosen by Earnest and Arthur, there were only Tyrin, Randolf, and Camallia with him. It was too late to let go of the two men. Both of them and the ship would be sticking around until the end, it seemed.

While the crew was full of vigor and hard at work, the absence of those bright and boisterous girls cast of a shadow over the voyage. Bleu didn't know if he could call that lonely or what.

"If you miss them, there is still time to go meet them," Camallia suggested, seeing through him.

"No, this was my decision."

"Indeed, your decision, not their decision, nor something they have agreed with."

Bleu asked what did she mean, but she promptly ignored him and moved away.

He would only learn what she meant once quite some time had already passed since their departure.

As Karin and Karna appeared in front of him, he doubted his own eyes. Tyrin and Randolf had their mouths agape in the same way. Only Camallia had a knowing smile on her face.

"Stowaways, sir," the ship captain told Bleu. They had been hiding in the boats at the deck.

"You… If you came then…" Bleu's shoulders trembled. "Camallia, you're an accomplice, aren't you?"

He turned to shout at her, while she kept a cool face.

"They braved danger by their own choice to escape their ship in the middle of sea and come back, what reason did I have to deny a request from them? I did what I had to, and guided them in secret."

Bleu stared at her with hate on his eyes as she boldly declared that. But Camallia wasn't one to be shaken by something like that.

"Do we have to go back now…?"

He whispered, and everyone rejected the idea.

"Even you two," he looked at Tyrin and Randolf, who had not reacted as he expected. Tyrin explained that if they came back, the same thing would just happen again.

"I surrender completely. Shouldn't you, sir, know better than anyone else that the result will always be this?"

Bleu couldn't answer that. If he did he'd have to agree.

"Then, at least Karna…"

"Why are you singling me out?" She was unusually stern as she stared him down. "How many times do I have to say it, it is a priest's duty to help those in need and be good. I won't be as virtuous if I abandon Sir Bleu here."

"Then, what about your goal of finding Gong?"

"Once this adventure is over, rumors should spread about a priest that traveled with a Sacred Dragon, and that will be me, of course. I'm sure they'll reach Master's ears. When that happens, maybe he'll come see me. At the very least, he should realize that I've been training seriously."

Karna stubbornly believed that.

"What should we do, do we turn back?" The captain asked with a troubled face.

Bleu had to give an answer.

Bleu told the captain like he was choking at the words.

The girls cheered. Someone's stomach suddenly growled over their voices. Karna's face became bright red. Thinking now, the reason the two had been found in the boats was because of that noise.

"Well, well, if hardtack is fine by you, shall we eat?"

Karna agreed immediately and went after him. The others followed suit.

Only Bleu and Karin remained in the room.

"I'm sorry."

She apologized earnestly without delay. With his plan beaten, Bleu mellowed out.

"Good grief, you're impossible. Always causing me trouble. I told you that you couldn't come along," he tried to explain gently.

"…Are you angry?"

"I'd be lying if I said I'm not."

At that blunt answer, Karin lowered her head.

"Why can't I come? Am I that much of a burden to you?"

"That's not it. I never said that. I'm just, worried. I don't want you to face danger, or sadness."

"Why do you think that I won't be sad if you leave me? Why do you think you won't be able of doing a single thing against the dangers that might come?"

"I don't trust myself to protect you."

Without thinking, Bleu let out his true feelings.

"So I really am a burden."

"I told you it's not like that."

"Then, try and protect me. Not your pride, but actually me. You are capable. If not, you'll stay forever the baby dragon who cried in our arms. Say, don't you need my help?"

Bleu struggled to answer for a moment.

"You're not a burden to me. But, I don't think I'll ever rely on you like that again. Children get to be just children, no matter their race, but now I'm Bleu, the Sacred Dragon." He paused. "Now, let's go join the others. For now, I won't try to drive you away anymore. I'm lucky you're being as nonchalant as Karna about this."

He took Karin's hand, and they left the room together.

Translation notes:

If the content warning didn't make it clear already I kinda hate these parts. Part of why I took an hiatus from this translation was because I wanted to write a sort of rant/midpoint review of the novel to discuss this, but the more I think about it, the more I feel I need a couple more parts first before I can fully make my point on why this one is bad. So if you disliked it too, just wait and soon we'll all get to be mad about it together.

You all looked like you were having so much fun, and your fans was as well and…" somewhere during the praise they grow distracted, familiar voice carrying throughout the hall matching a face that only spelled trouble: a very happy Owen. Wiping sweat from her brow, chugging down half of her water bottle. Deep breath in, long exhale out. All her training paid off - never making a single mistake - yet she's still anxious to watch any playbacks on what she needed to work on for tomorrow. Up on stage, all the spotlights were blinding, and all the glowsticks mesmerizing, and it always feels like she could faint at any moment. All that attention, all that shine...She couldn't stand it, but she was in the thick of it, and couldn't just back out of it now. Until that day came, she'd smile and work harder than anyone else. All for them...

The producer's voice approaching her snaps her out of her trance, gasping as she quickly capped her water bottle and faced them properly. "Oh, Aki - um, Producer." She nearly says his name, cheeks flushed even more in embarrassment than she was at receiving such nice compliments. Though they certainly do pile those on, Diantha instinctively twirling the end of her ponytail between her fingers as they talked. But a smile did grace her face, however small - "Ah, did they? I'm glad..." No matter what hardships she faced or what anxiety she may have had on stage, knowing that her fans were enjoying themselves...It makes her breathe a sigh of relief, for now. Though Akira trails off too, and a booming voice interrupts both of their thoughts, Diantha turning towards the sound - Ah...She's heard rumors of that guy. Well, it wasn't like all the talents in 21 Wizards didn't have rumors, but some were more...boisterous than others. Akira always seemed to have their hands full, and their rushed goodbye was evidence of that. All she can do is wave them off with a smile as they run after Owen, and then start pondering to herself. About their company, about all their talents, about how Akira could've gotten mixed up in the Producer role...Maybe it was like how she was roped in to audition? There's a lot on her mind now...Followed by the sounds of equipment falling everywhere, and a particularly worried shout. Oooooh, she should just ignore it, but she won't. She wonders what type of tea Akira likes to calm down with, as she starts slowly inching her way towards the scene - not wanting to get caught up in it, but certainly wanting to make sure a friend was okay before she quietly walked away again.

Let's do a quick recap, it's very underrated series and many people are not up-to-date with it!

It all started with Ranmaru (Bel Canto) An exorcist, and Tokiya (elegy) a DEMON.

Ran's dream is to become a famous musician. But he lacks talent and skill. He left his family and carries on exorcism jobs by a church in some random town.

Toki on the other hand, the purpose of his existence is to take over Ran's soul.

He is found by Ran who took him in until he gets better or remember anything at least.

Toki has amnesia. He doesn't know he is a demon,

Ran, is not much liked by the locals because he has a very scary face but Toki seems to get along perfectly with everyone (except animals)

Whatsoever later on (and by all the signs) Toki releases that he is a demon, so he decides to leave quietly so he won't hurt anyone.

Ran is on a duty one night but surprise surprise he finds Toki has taken care of that other demon using a tool was supposed to be used on Ran.

They come on terms and they became partners.

Because Ran believes that you're not tied to be anything just because you were born for it. So he decides to help Toki to become what he wants despite being a demon.

Next they meet Otoya (Coda) and his partner Ai (Refrain).

They are both a little sadistic LoL

They have a contract, The angel Coda finds the genius exorcist Refrain very interesting.

Ai is coming from a very famous exorcists family. He inherited his family's special scythe to exorcise demons.

After coming to Ran's church, Oto gets really interested in Ran (and bullying Toki) also they figured that Toki is a demon, they offered a deal to Ran, to make a contract with Oto to keep TOKİ safe and for them to change their sadistic ways of exorcism.

Next a new two came to the town, Camus (Credo) and Natsuki (Irise)

Camus is a "freelance" exorcist and Natsu is not a human, not a demon nor an angel, no one knows what is he and neither does he know because he suffers from amnesia.

Camus is a two faced stingy lair whom keeps taking Ran jobs (also maintaining a good relationship with the locals)

One thing about him that he and for sure cares about Natsu alot!

It was never mentioned who they met but they are partners to the bones.

Natsu never remembers who is he but he keep hearing voices that tells him to destroy everything.

What so ever, these two in fact joins the family and now everyone lives in the same church as Ran and Toki.

Next we have the archangel Syo (Ferne) and his beloved partner Cecil (Schluss)

Syo is very serious angel and always on the top of his duty. He is hard to socialise and comes of unfriendly most of the time... Even a little dark..

Cecil is on a very short mission in the church that Ran and the others staying in

So Toki is mostly just hiding from them to avoid any conflicts.

It was mentioned by Cecil that Syo should go to the heavenly realm because it's been awhile.

But Syo replied that he rather not, because he is trying to repay Cecil for saving him and he doesn't want anything back to happen when he is away.

Now, they never mentioned anything about how they met.

Syo confirm Ran about Toki but Ran just tells him that Toki is not a demon anymore "he is my partner" Syo thought that Ran was under Toki's control and tried to help him but ... Well nothing happens because there is nothing... And ends up being lectured by Ran about his way of living.

Also Syo wanted to destroy natsu looks like he was "poisoned" by this town and he changed his mind.

Natsu tells him that not every change is a bad thing. And offers him to be friends. But Eyo says no because they have different ways and purposes.

Also important to mention that in the end of the event When Syo and Cecil leave, TOKİ comes out of his hide and says that he had a very bad feeling about this and that face (I guess he means Cecil) looks very familiar.

Next we have "Chords of Pursuit" the arrival of Flåm (Reiji) is Bel Canto's childhood friend and Echo (Ren).

Flåm is worried about Bel-chan because he doesn't want him to stop being an exorcist. They both coming from two famous families of exorcists and they have responsibility upon them to protect people. So Flåm was nagging Bel about leaving music and focusing on exorcism.

Bel didn't take that in a good way so they both got in an argument.

Echo (Ren) is an angel that's guides Flåm's family, and since he is with Flåm now that's mean Flåm is the head of his family, also Echo is the older brother of the angels.

After Schluss and Ferne left, the angels found traces of them, so Echo decided to stick around to see whether they will come back or not.

Now "Chords of Devotion" the last of the series so far.

Schluss and Ferne, appears again with a powerful demon called Karma (that's Masato) .

Karma is a demon moved by boredom. He will do anything to get a little entertainment.

And Schluss is a fallen angel with jet-black wings.

Ferne, is an angel who disobeyed god and followed Schluss because Schluss has saved him before and he feels like he should repay him by protecting him.

Now.

The reason Schluss fallen was that he wanted to "love even the darkness" which is forbidden by God.

The 3 on them leads an army of demons into the town where Bel Canto and the others are.

Anywho, the fight start, Frene and Coda are fighting together as the others are taking care of the demons.

Echo tells Flåm to take care of the rest as he catches up with Coda, Frene and Schluss.

But Credo asks him to take İrise with him, because he knows that İrise is worried about Ferne and he knows that İrise is special and if there was someone who can reach to Ferne then it's him.

He tells him to go and do what he wants, and not to worry about the situation here, he can handle it.

İrise thanks Credo and joins the battle with Schluss and Frene.

He jumps on Frene and teleports him to the flower field. And gives him a good talk about how he can too follow his heart and shouldn't be chained to anyone.

And adds that after coming to this town even him -İrise- can stand for what he believes in.

Frene replied with, how for something that is not an angel or a demon or a human, İrise is what others sees (what İrise is, do depends on the other person that observers him)

And he says that every since he came here all what he can think about is this flower field (you can tell that Frene finally knew what he wants to do at that moment)

Moving to Bel Canto and Elegy in the face of the "mastermind" aka Karma.

Karma is giving them a very hard time. Since he keeps on making more and more demons and no matter how much they kill of them there seems to be no end for the demons.

Karma is having his fun, he never thought that one of his children will turn up against him. But here we are with Elegy protecting Bel Canto.

Karma says that he is not angry about Elegy killing his own kind, but he needs to take souls instead of the one Elegy couldn't bring home (he means Bel Canto's)

As Bel Canto and Elegy desperately trying to fight back and under all that pressure Bel shouts at Karma that if his soul is what he's after, then he can take it.

Karma is surprised, is Bel Canto that ready to give up on living?

Bel replies that since he left his hometown, he is alone and have nothing to lose anyway.

Here is where Elegy interrupts and says that Bel was the reason he was saved and wanted to live as a human and Bel has everyone else in the dormitory now. "So don't tell me you don't have anything to lose" (YEAH! TELL HİM ELEGY)

Bel Canto is touched and Karma is amused. He likes this due so much he let them go this time.

And by that I mean he leaves but left them a good chunk of demons to deal with.

Schluss, Frene and Karma are back together now. As they are about to leave Ferne says that he can't continue following them and he is going back to god to receive his punishment.

Schluss goodbyes him saying he will always love him and will watch over him.

By the sunrise all the demons disappear. The group is all back together.

Flåm comments that despite his wounds Bel Canto still has his soul "so did you decide to keep on living as An exorcist?"

Elegy added that he hopes Bel gets scolded alot and after that they can talk about how he wants to live.

Bel's answered that nothing much changed he still honest with his thoughts. But now he knows he is not alone (my heart).

The angels takes Ferne to god and The last dialogue was between Schluss and Karma, starts with Schluss saying that he didn't thought Karma will let Frene go without a word. "Do you really have forgiveness or did some love grew in your heart?"

Karma answers that it was merely for his entertainment. The more weird objects to observe the less bored he will be.

+ He is looking forward to see where Schluss's love will leads him.

Schluss: "yes. I am grateful to you for giving me this power.

Let's grow up some more together.

I believe one day our paths will cross again, and when that's happen let's pick up from where we left!"
