I just realized I never posted this here lol

This was the side painting I was doing while I was doing a water color of a tudor house. (said house is being held captive by my art teacher)

Anyway it's all mordecai exept for the mitzi in the left corner.

(hello again, sweets! this one is a bit angsty, sorry about that! i had a bit of a night terror and i needed to let some of those lingering feelings out in the form of projecting onto our beloved kyo, lol. its a modern-ish au (teacher rengoku maybe?) bc. why not? enjoy, lovelies!)

warnings: blood, self-harm (unintentional)

you wake to the sound of a crash. youre slow to react, sitting up and rubbing your eyes, and you cant see the time but you know its too early because of the exhausted drag in your bones. the other side of the bed is cold, and you sigh as you get up, stumbling to the door.

you yawn as you open it, peering down the hallway. you can see a shadow moving about in the kitchen, the lights off. if this didnt happen often, youd be afraid you were being robbed, but unfortunately the love of your life has the terrible habit of sneaking around in the dark at odd hours and you cant seem to convince him to stop.

"kyojuro?" you call, stepping out. the shadow pauses.

"ah, did i wake you?" immediately, you can tell something is wrong. his voice wobbles, and its much too soft. "i apologize, i meant to let you sleep in since its your day off."

"i dont care about that." you shuffle into the kitchen, looking around. you can see kyojuros outline, but its too dark to see much else. "are you okay? i heard a crash."

"yes, im fine! dont worry about me, go back to sleep." you hum, starting to make your way over to him, but kyojuro gives a sharp "ah!" that has you stopping again. "please stay over there, i dont want you stepping on the glass."

you inhale sharply.

"wha- glass?! kyojuro!" you hurry over to the light, slapping it on. you blink in the sudden brightness, stubbornly waiting until your eyes adjust. when they do, you hiss through your teeth.

kyojuro stands by the fridge, guiltily averting his eyes with a tight smile. his face is red; with a pang of worry, you realize hes been crying. theres colorful glass glittering on the floor around him, and he has a few larger shards in his hand. your concern for him skyrockets when you see blood, but you force yourself to stay calm.

right now, he needs you.

"dont move," you say firmly, searching for the broom. he nods quietly, and you feel your heart ache when he sniffles. you quickly sweep up the pieces around him, paying careful attention to the spaces between the tiles. once you finish and toss it all away, you finally approach him, slowly.

"did you try to clean it up in the dark?" you whisper, and he nods again, curling his bloodied fingers around the glass he holds. "oh, baby, dont do that." you wrap your hand around his, gently prying it open and ignoring the blood that stains your skin. you tip the pieces into your own hand, leaving him for just a moment to throw them away. when you turn back around, he has his arms tightly crossed, hugging himself.

"i didnt mean to wake you," he insists, not looking at you when you move closer. "i was trying to get some water and got... distracted. i broke the cup you got for me last year." and then, even softer, "that was my favorite cup."

"its okay," you say soothingly, cupping his cheek in your palm, and thats when you realize hes still crying, tears dripping onto your skin. he leans into your touch, his breathing shaky. "ill get you another one. lets get you cleaned up, okay?" he nods once, eyes falling shut.

you slide your hand down to his wrist, tugging until he unfolds. you lead him to the bathroom, sitting him down at the edge of the tub and dropping a kiss on top of his head.

you kneel before him and pick the glass shards out of his skin, frowning at how badly he shakes. it has to hurt, but kyojuro doesnt flinch as you clean and wrap them, wrist to fingertip.

"can you tell me what it was about?" you ask as you cut the extra gauze, taping the end down. he doesnt answer. you look up from his wounds, searching for his gaze, but his eyes are still closed. "kyojuro?" you tilt his chin upward. his lashes flutter, and he looks at you, finally. his golden eyes are bloodshot and raw, but at least the tears have stopped. you move your hand to his cheek, brushing away the lingering salt.

"i dont remember anymore," he says, turning his head to speak into your palm, hiding from your stare. you dont believe him (hes a terrible liar), but you dont push. he never did like to talk about his nightmares.

and you know thats what happened. a nightmare. hes had them for as long as youve known him, but hes never reacted this badly. hes never cried. it must have been a particularly bad one.

"alright," you say slowly. "okay, come here. lets go back to bed." you straighten, patiently waiting for him to stand as well. his hands are too heavily bandaged to hold properly, so you curl your fingers around his wrist again, guiding him back to bed.

he doesnt protest as you gently push him down onto the mattress, curling into himself in a way that breaks your heart. he looks so lonely that youre quick to crawl in behind him, wrapping your arms around his middle and covering his trembling hands with your own. hes warm, almost to the point of feverish, but youre used to it. you bury your face in his sleep-mussed hair and close your eyes.

"i wont let any more bad dreams get you," you whisper against the back of his neck, leaving a kiss on his spine. you feel him shiver and tighten your grip, tossing your legs over his. "ill keep you safe this time, kyo. i love you."

"thank you," he rasps, unmoving. you wait. "...i love you, too." you hold him until you fall asleep, rubbing your thumb over his knuckles.

when you wake again, the bed is warm, and hes smiling in his sleep.

Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy for him and he doesn't know I exist, but it feels odd idk. So im pausing on Tom stuff atm lol. Harrison is single as far as publicly that ik so thats that 😅

“Alrighty boys. That’s enough about me, tell me about yourselves. I only know this one from the big screen and that 2 of you are brothers.” You gestured to Tom as you spoke about him. “And from basic eavesdropping I gather you are all very close.” 

Tom smiled, “Actually I’m a brother to the twins, older obviously.” It was fun having a celeb lounging in your hot tub, drinking a beer with you. “But yeah I am an actor, Spider-Man as you probably know. Harrison’s an actor too!”

“Oh my god you are! I watched Catch-22 on Hulu! Comedy my ass..! I balled my eyes out several times.” He had the nerve to laugh in response. “Don’t laugh! That shit got intense quick. Then the shot where you all are swimming? Killed me. I don't know how I didn't notice you. Sorry!”

“Did you at least like it?” He smiled and asked hopefully. When you nodded yes he beamed! “Well then that’s all that matters. I will say an American accent is hard.”

You brought your beer up to your lips. “Yeah because your guys’ accent is so easy. You make fun of how different areas in America have different accents but it’s the same here!” They nodded in agreement at your words. You leaned your head back a tad and enjoyed the warm water. “Southern accents have different twangs bepending on the area, I have family that lives closer to New England, that's something all in its own. Just like here. You got London, Wales, some place called Essex and other places more north of here. It's not just the US." You reached over for your joint to finish it amongst the bubbles. "Now for real. Tell me about yourselves. Harrison you start I guess."

"Why me?"

"Shorter wikipedia page." You smirk as you re-lit your herb. The guys laughed and made 'ooh' noises to tease. "I'm kidding! Relax a touch. I just picked your name because you are right in front of me."

"Well I've known this lot since we were all kids. Tom and I went to school together and we have been stuck with each other since. I was his personal assistant for a while too." You listened as he spoke. Sweat was building up on his face from the hot tub. It added a nice shine to his, and everyone's faces. In order to avoid makeup running everywhere you sat up as you listened to him. You watched his eyes watch your movements as you took a hit and slowly exhaled. Almost like he was relaxing from watching someone relax from getting high without actually doing so. He kept going and you realized you zoned out a tad. "And then I wanted to do more than just model so I did more auditions and Catch-22 became my biggest so far."

You nodded, noting you heard and were listening. "That's cool and all but tell me like favorite song, movie, animal! Hahaha it isn't everyday famous people are in my hot tub. I'm going to savor this first encounter!" He smiled and answered your sort of questions. You offered the joint around before it finished. Tom passed, Tuwaine and Harrison took quick hits though. "But yeah that is me. Now someone else go so I don't have the spot light on me anymore." He looked at you as he said that and handed you the last bit. You winked in thanks, and to flirt lightly. (Shoot your shot right?) "Same questions to you love."

You responded your favorite song, movie, and color to him. "Yeah I like a bit of everything. But funny movies are my favorite. Obviously I like Marvel too Tom don't worry. Same goes for music but my preference ranges from new pop to older rock. I grew up on 80s alternative pop stuff." You smiled at him and he beamed in pride at the brand he represented. "Ok Sam you now."

Sam starts talking about his life and Harrison goes to grab more drinks. At this point the sun as almost finished setting and you tell the blonde how to turn the deck lights on. Soon the rows of edison bulbs flick on and a lovely mood is set. The glow isn't too bright and adds a nice light to your summer tanned skin. What you don't know is that the gentlemen appreciated the glow as well. However, they are too polite to say anything too bold after just meeting you.

If you could read minds or be sober enough to detect a certain lack of subtlety you would pick up on how the single men checked you out as you got out of the tub to get rid of the roach. Polite of course, 20 something men are going to appreciate a beautiful American girl right in front of them.

And if they could read your mind they would hear how you were taking in Tom and Harrison's jaw lines and toned muscles. How you appreciated Tuwaine's smile and height. Then add the twin's curls and freckles to the list and they'd think you were picking them like boys from a catalogue. Despite the slight oggling on your part, your eyes always wandered back to the blonde hair blue eyed boy the most. He seemed a little more laid back then Tom. Probably just because one was working more than the other, but that was just initial vibes you got. Regardless of vain appearance choices and vibe preference, all these boys were wonderful and you were just lucky enough your uncle's hot tub fit them all nicely.

Tuwaine smiled cheekily and spoke up. "Alright, we all have fresh drinks and proper buzzes. Let's make it fun and play a game. So Y/N, you went to college in the states, give us a classic drinking game and show us what you got."

"Ha! I don't know what you're looking for but I assume never have I ever is universal? You can't play kings or flip cup in a hit tub. Hold up 5 fingers, put them down if you've done said thing, drink as well."

"No fingers, just play till we are right pissed." Harry grinned and everyone else went along with it. "I will start. Never have I ever- wait this a normal game or sexy version?"

You said you didn't care and Tom said what the hell, so he continued. "Never have I ever gotten walked in on during a scandelous activity." Tom and Harrison both drank and groaned saying they have both walked in on each other at some point in life. Tuwaine continued.

"Never have I ever fooled around while someone else is in the room." There was a pause and no one drank. But then you rose your beer to your lips and they all looked at you in a manner of surprise and demand for explination.

Shrugging you said, "Old drunken hookup in school. We didn't know his roommate was in his top bunk asleep until it was too late. The mistake we made was keeping on going when we thought we heard him, because we did..."

"Wow Y/N. Learning a lot about the neighbor girl right away!"

"Shut up this game was your idea!" You laughed as you spoke in response to his teasing. "But whatever it's my turn now anyway. Never have I ever sent a dirty text to the wrong person." That got all but Harrison and you felt proud for getting them. "Alright so you are either morons or were in a rush to send that sext."

Tom defended himself saying her name was Sam and it was instant regret the second he realized.

Sam glared at him and said, "Yeah no one enjoyed that bro. I'm still shaken up about it."

"Get over yourself it was like 5 years ago! And you accidentally sent your friend Jake one, so pot, kettle, hi both black."

"It was detailed!"

You just sat there amused taking this all in. "I am so glad this happened tonight." You said more to yourself than them.

"Darling if this ends up in the tabloids we will never speak again." They were teasing with the threat. "But come on this is good let's keep going. Never have I ever done it in a car." You, Sam, and Tuwaine all drank and giggled.

The game continued on and another round of drinks were had. You learned Tuwaine had said the wrong name in bed. Also, that both Harry and Harrison have fooled around during family functions. In return they learned that you've hooked up in a college classroom and in a restaurant bathroom. That ended up getting you and your former boyfriend kicked out of the establishment. Towards the final round all were getting sleepier but still in a good mood.

"Never have I ever had sex high." Harrison challenged the group. No one drank. "Wait really? Thought I'd get you with that. Finish your beer and all." He looked at you as he spoke.

"Nope. Just never happened now that I've thought about it. Huh. You'd think right? But nope. Not that I'm opposed." You ended your statement by glancing his way while finishing your beer anyway. Harrison just watched the way your neck moved as you tilted your head back. "Ok boys this was fun but I am gettin tired."

Tom nodded. "Same here. Thank you for having us darling, it was fun!" The others spoke in agreement and you smiled at them saying they were welcomed back anytime. They offered to help clean but you grabbed the remaining bottles and told them you were good. After final goodbyes, you told them to not he strangers, you were all in your respective homes.

You went to bed pretty quick. Next door, at their place Tom, Harrison, and Sam lingered to get some water before bed. "She was really cool." Sam said while sipping water.

Harrison hummed in agreement. "Yeah I think so too. Very chill and all that."

Sam smirked and playfully said, "You just think she's fit mate." There was a pause.

"Well she is." It was Tom who said that and the others looked at him in playful shock. "What I'm not blind! She is! She's isn't some shy girl freaking out over us. She's cheeky and just seems normal about us living next to her. More Harrison's type though I'd say."

Sam laughed. "Yeah he always liked the classic American 'girl next door' type. Just a bonus she is actually American this time." They paused for Harrison to negate their statements but he just sipped his water and looked at them with a glint in his eyes. "Told you." Sam said as he took a sip. "She is better than half the models either of you bring back. Nuerons fire and she can keep a conversation. Not that all models are like that! But come on you went out with some stereotypes." Neither could disagree. Sometimes you just want to have a date with the beautiful face. Long term needs substance though, and both Tom and Harrison thought you had it all.

"We need to invite her over tomorrow, and any time she's free." Groundwork was to be established and Harrison was determined to get to know you more.

Oh man, im influenced by a bunch of art and comics but i couldnt pin down specific inspirations for those haha

as for the more broad sense, i also have a bunch of things! significantly, physics and space. it might not look like it but i think a lot about the logistics of things and whatever rules would exist in my universes etc. it does suck sometimes bc it prevents me from doing things just for the hell of it, but i love applying knowledge to things. and space has always been something really close to me, my dad’s an astrophysicist so ive been exposed to all sorts of cool knowledge about it since i was a wee bab 

i also really really love metaphors and symbolism, but rather than take inspiration from things i just use my own personal symbolism x) i put a lot of myself in what i do. which.. i guess could be said for many artists too so its not too special haha

and also as with many other artists, i AM fueled by spite significantly. specifically 1. for the people who once thought or who still think id never be good to do art, or that id never get better at what i do. 2. for people who draw wings wrong (especially professional people? what’s wrong with you. im begging you to look at a bird) 3. for people and companies that make terrible designs with terrible decisions (they fuel me to do better than them) 4. for people who believe that the only way to be good at art and design is to make overly complex and visually charged, detailed designs with many colors/hues (all my ocs are fairly simple and have the most limited colors kffhk) 

im sure there’s a lot more but ive spent a lot of time writing this out already and i cant really think of anything else so i hope this is a good enough answer!! 

god i do NOT have enough knowledge for this but what the fuck was up with the volturi lol. like fuckin, vampire goth club over there did nothing to change over hundreds of years, all of them still stuck in their medieval ways. i remember a plot point that was touched upon was that they had a specific person lure in a bunch of lost tourists through the sewer entrance so that the volturi could drink them and like ?? bro. how is this not investigated at any point, ever. like a shit ton of tourists just disappear ??? all the time?? and no one gives a fuck?? no investigation?? what do they do with the bodies?????

also, they were willing to blast the carlisle family into fucking orbit over Turning A Child (tm) into a vampire, but they had absolutely no qualms about vampire wars/soldiers where a lot of people were irresponsibly turned into neophytes for their strength (like jasper) or people who turned others just for the fuck of it or bc theyd have sickass powers (like benjamin. that was the sole reason for benjamin being turned. bc the dude could feel that benj would have cool powers and he absolutely did... he was a fucking avatar. controller of the elements. and he did absolutely jack shit in the books. im still so mad) 

but yeah anyway the volturi are big hypocrites. got nothing to say about their lifestyle and aesthetic tho bc italians just be like that

the spikes on his neck and back are a lot softer though. theyre flat scales and are probably bendy, but still sturdy. they don’t have edges or anything so you wont be sliced up if you touch them but touching them is probably not too comfortable

alex would probably be a crocodile tbh! it’s one of the things i based his dragon form off of for the latest iteration, and i just think it fits him a lot (also its funny that crocodiles are water creatures but alex has a Big Dislike of water)

I do not like confrontation when it is unnecessary. And people often share opinions in order to convince people to see things their way. All of your embroidery is so lovely, and its part of the reason i started taking my own hobby a little more seriously recently, so i wanted to ask some advice if u dont mind! Can you safely wash your embroidery in a washing machine without the threads tearing or the colors bleeding out of the thread? I tried to handwash a project to get some pencil marks out but i couldnt get them off, and im too afraid to chuck it in the wash cause ive spent so mich time on it lol

Hi there, and thank you so much! I’m always so darn excited when people tell me that they’re getting into needlework too.

Getting those marks out of the fabric. Oh boy, do I know this struggle. The only items I will throw in the wash are the t-shirts that I’ve embroidered, and those have only black thread, no satin stitches, and no long back stitches, so there is very low risk of the thread tearing or color noticeably fading. I also wash the shirts inside out, and let them air dry. 

I would never put my delicate and detailed embroidery in the washing machine. (Good crafting instincts— it would probably destroy your hard work!!) I have only once tried to hand wash my embroidery. I’d been struggling with the piece for a few months and it ended up sitting idle on my craft table during that time, collecting dust and a little dirt. (One of the drawbacks of aida cloth is all those little grooves where dirt will stay forever.) I tried washing it with warm water and a little handsoap, then dishsoap, then laundry detergent, and the dirt barely came out, and my stitches were no longer as tension-tight as they had been on the hoop. I will never be doing that again! (Also, I’m not an idiot anymore and store my idle wips in a much less dirty place.)

For pencil marks, I keep a good white eraser (hi-polymer) that gets the majority of my pencil marks out of the aida cloth. When the eraser starts to get a little round, I use my razor to slice off a thin piece on the side to give it a good edge again for precision erasing. A benefit of aida cloth is that the pencil marks will come out– sometimes they don’t come off of other fabrics :| 

For those bitty marks that are too close to the stitches or made with ink (like watercolors), I keep a white (opaque) gel pen for small touch ups. I actually used the gel pen for a huge f*ck-up on The Uncanny X-Men:

Others have often recommended using specialized fabric pens whose ink comes out with a little water, but I’m hesitant about those. I personally feel that I can’t erase as quickly as I’d like (as I can with a pencil and eraser), but it might be worth looking into if you’re going to use fabric other than aida. 

I wish I had some better tips for you! Mostly, I try to keep my pencil marks as light as possible unless I know the marks will be completely covered with thread. Otherwise, I use the hi-polymer eraser to remove the marks, or an opaque gel pen to cover them up. Good luck!

It was rare to get everybody in the rfa to get together with all having busy schedules to attend to. But rfa was a family, so even minor holidays were good enough reason to meet up–according to Seven atleast, whose idea it was to go to the beach for Valentine’s Day. With his amazing hacking skills, he managed to push back everyone’s schedules just so you all could hang out today. Now here you are at the beach with your partner, about to prepare to soak in some sun!

Yoosung:

He only needed to remove his shirt because he was already wearing his swim trunks, so it didn’t take any effort to get ready (he did have to mentally prep to expose his blindingly pale chest from staying inside all day playing LOLOL)

Being the gentleboy that he is, he waited until you finished in the changing booth to go have fun with the others

“Alright Yoosung, I’m done!” you hollered from the inside before the click of lock swung the door open

1. Are you afraid of getting old? Or do you want to grow old?

I wouldn’t say i’m afraid of getting old, but I would say i’m afraid of aging....getting old is just a number on your diverse license, but aging is when your boy starts to slowly break down and your quality of life ain’t so great anymore.

2. Favorite type of landscape?

I haven’t had the chance to experience many different types, but I’d have to say mountains...4 summers in a row I’d hike part of the Appalachian Mountains and it’s one of the most amazing experiences and the water, OMG THE WATER so cold and crisp. What I love most about it is that the only thing touched my man is the slim trail. That’s it. The animals, trees, rivers, its all untouched. Breathtaking.

3. Favorite work of art?

I love art in general, but haven't gotten to see as much as I’d like. However, I’d have to say my fav is Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. My Mamow (grandmother) had these coasters at her house that I was memorized by and they were all pictures of art made by Vincent and the Starry Night one was always my favorite. I actually got to visit the MoMA 2 years ago to see it in person and it was a really cool experience.

I literally NEVER read either of those anymore....the last time I read a magazine was when I was 16/17 and it was Seventeen Magazine
