Sorry if this is going to sound bad, but I appreciate how loosely you draw transformers??? Like genuinely, I get so lost in the desire to get proportions/details right that I just stress myself out of practicing at all. However I love your art dearly, and it's making easier for me to just. The hero within

I wrote a small drabble inspired by this fanart by @habken, who is one of my favorite artists here, because I love to see the different interpretations of the moment where people understand how heroic and capable Bakugou is and I live for Deku's "Kacchan sugoi" scenes. This is just my take on what happened later, because it's such a great comic and I love everything about it:

Izuku braced himself for an impact that never came. Instead, he was wrapped in the heat of explosions and a booming voice that rose above the roaring in his ears.

"GOTCHA, YOU BASTARD!"

When he dared to lower his arms, Izuku was taken back by the sight: a broad back shielded him, the spikes of pale hair a stark contrast to the explosions framing his head.

Bakugou Katsuki had saved him.

Izuku gaped as the pro put more distance between the man and him. He shot a precise explosion that sent the man down, and with a fluid motion, palms still smoking, the hero slapped a set of cuffs on the perp.

Bakugou placed a black boot on the man's chest, and snarled. "You better stay down, asshole."

Just when Izuku figured he had forgotten about him, Bakugou turned, rooting him in place with the weight of his gaze. He walked closer to Izuku, and carefully grabbed the crook of his elbow.

"Deku," he said, voice leveled. "Are you okay? Did he touch you?"

Izuku was familiar with Bakugou Katsuki: he was the agency hot head, sauntering everywhere he went, looking at people over his shoulder and shouting for no good reason through a perpetual sneer. He drove Izuku crazy, and forced him to fight off an unwanted fascination for the man whenever he happened to grace the IT Department with his presence, dropping his laptop unceremoniously on Izuku's desk, even when other people were available.

But this Bakugou Katsuki was different; his touch was gentle, while still firm. His red eyes were focused and attentive, quickly scanning Izuku for any injury. The tone of his voice was reassuring and confident. He hadn't hesitated to get between Izuku and danger. He exuded so much power and strength, making Izuku feel safe and protected.

This was hero Dynamite, and Izuku was star-struck in his presence.

"I'm... I'm o-okay," he stuttered.

After a stare that felt eternal, Dynamite stepped back, and grinned. Izuku had seen him smile on TV before, thinking he looked like a deranged jerk, but he was unprepared for the full shine of his grin. It was contagious. Full of confidence. One corner of his mouth quirked up higher than the other, and he tilted his head back as he spoke.

"Sure you are, loser."

It was like the Bakugou Katsuki that he knew had reached out from inside the hero, reconciling the two men into one single person.

The reality of the fact that if Izuku removed the black mask, he would see the same face he had seen at least once everyday for the past months crashed into him as his heart skipped a beat and his face turned beet red.

Oh Hell, La Brava was right.

Izuku was so screwed.

I'm sorry ahead of time because this gives off such a simpy parasocial vibe (bcs you're a tumblr celebrity in my eyes lol) but I'm very grateful for you and your blog! I've been on tumblr for like over a decade but I've never ever interacted with anyone in whatever fandom I've been in. I don't know what is it about your space here that possessed me to finally make a blog and share things and engage with others but I'm so grateful for it. You were such a lovely gateway into the fandom and your blog is just such a good vibe. Definitely inspired me to feel less cringe about posting stuff. I'm currently working my way through writing a mildly cringe Homelander voice kink fic that is inspired by some of the headcanons you've written in the past. I rarely feel inspired enough to write, let alone feel like sharing my work but for once I genuinely feel like the fandom is so nice and accepting that it's worth giving it a shot!! Anyway, don't mind me just felt like pouring my heart out lol. Thanks for being awesome and being part of the fandom!!

ah man, don't apologize at all! thank you so much! i can't tell you how happy i am that i could at all contribute to your decision to engage with the fandom and share your creativity. i've also been on and off tumblr for many years, and coming back to it i was pretty shocked by how much the culture had changed. no one should be afraid of sharing their fan work! that's what fandom is! fandom community is honestly more important to me than any of the actual material the fandom comes from lol

let me be a bit serious for a sec: i've been observing a couple of sentiments here about how there's a lack of binary boyfriends art in circulation with season 6 upon us and the show's foreseeable end. while i agree on that front, and as one of the fellow artists who started making art for the ship in the early aughts of the show (sketches, full rendered pieces, gifs -- you name it), i would like to emphasize that fanart is not meant to be a one-time piece of "content" that passes by our dashboards. they take time. they take energy. the next person you follow has a life you may not know anything about, and working on these pieces are labor of love.

if you find something that makes you feel a certain and positive way, let the creators know! again: fanart is not fleeting content. they can be evergreen content, but never seasonal. and most often than not, you'd see an artist share these pieces as a love letter to the ship itself first, then everyfan second.

i hope we think twice about this before calling out a recession or drought, because the last thing creators need is to feel like what we make is subjected to scrutinizing numbers until it gets lost in the muddied waters, when it's really meant to be discovered if people mean to look hard enough. they're pieces of history that deserve to exist for as long as this hellhole is still alive. these are products of their time today, and hopefully for the next groups over who will love the boys as much as we do now.

scroll through the main ship tag. travel to different ones, to different places. commission your artists and maybe find an honest middle ground if you can't compensate! or better yet, make one yourself you know you'd be proud of anyway!

and look, not every piece of art is for everyone, but if any piece isn't your drift, that's understandable -- you can silently that's very cool, like, reblog if you're even more generous, leave a few encouraging words, then move on.

i don't want this to come across as a sermon, but take it from a concerned fan to another who also wants to create and see stuff for these babies. you can't win them all, but your acknowledgement helps keep the ship and our craft alive.

People loving android!Robin makes me so happy anansnssndsnsns she's curious and excitable and full of wonder and the world keeps punishing her for simply being alive. Sometimes it's too painful even for me, big whump lover 😭😭 though seriously, there is not enough Robin whump, and while all the characters in the show are very whumpeable, hurting my little blorbo Robin feels special because... she's just so deeply lonely. She's lonely and she thinks she deserves to be because of something wrong with her (pulling this interpretation from Surviving Hawkins lore which is canon to me 😭). That was a big idea I had when I first came up with android!Robin... that there is something wrong with her. Broken. In this AU she's literally broken in a lot of way (battery and memory problems, weak joints in her lower half, etc), but that's all within the range of normal robot problems. The real issue with her is that she's sentient. It terrifies people because it really brings out the existencial horror of... well, existing. It terrifies Robin most of all. She is the problem. She is what's wrong with her. She shouldn't exist.

But at the same time, she loves being alive so much! She doesn't understand it and doesn't know how it happened, but it happened, and now she's real and wants to experience life and the world and know people like human beings do. So it's her constant battle to become human despite humans having hurt her so much in the past... only for Nancy to already see her as human. Just one made of metal and plastic, but human nonetheless. She's the first person to see her that way and maybe everyone else thinks she's crazy, but Nancy is used to that. She's so sure of this, though, of Robin's self-awareness. She trusts her so blindly. She doesn't even need proof. And not only does she believe her, but she defends her humanity in front of her friends and family so ardently, fighting so hard for Robin to be aknowledged by everyone else as human. Fighting so hard to give her a home and family for the first time in her life.

Nancy has it bad for Robin, really. She's just so in love, even if everyone else thinks she's crazy for falling in love with a machine (no one thinks she is, though, because they all know Robin, and once you know Robin, it's impossible not to love her).
