Aaaaactually never mind I want to ask one thing.
Who was referred to as “angel” apart from Fukuchi about the politicians?
I have a few examples but I can’t remember any more.
In Dead Apple, Shibusawa refers to Atsushi as an angel who will save him. In Stormbringer, Chuuya is likened to a fallen angel, complete with halo and dark forms out his back that look like wings. In Untold Origins, Ranpo pleads for an angel to save him if they exist, which I suppose makes Fukuzawa indirectly an angel, especially with the multiple ability user = angel references in Murakami’s play. This also elevates Ranpo to the level of angel, a role he takes on by placing himself literally above the ordinary people on stage (as well as the anime’s wings painted on the wall when he finds Taneda shortly before the Agency is dethroned). Yosano is referred to as the Angel of Death.
I feel like I’ve missed a few though… please remind me if I did because I’m too tired to go scrawling through literally all the media again.
