have been putting together Iliaster Pokemon Teams off and on fooooor the last couple months or so... I always like to put way too much thought into teams so under the cut I have all my reasonings for these choices. I like Pokemon and I like these characters a Perfectly Normal Amount <3

BRUNO/ANTINOMY:

Lucario: feels just very much like a good partner Pokemon for him...same shade of blue, very noble and loyal, EXTREME SPEED!! something something Lucario's innate aura reading and ability to sense emotions and thoughts vs. Bruno's complicated quest to figure out who he is. I think they would be friends!!! It gets amnesia too in whatever funny Pokemon AU Bruno's situation happens in

Skitty: obligatory Bruno kitty cat pokemon <3

Armarouge: T.G. Halberd Cannon/Blade Blaster type vibes, its pauldrons literally turn into a cannon, fire type echoing the sun in the Antinomy/Yusei duel, also a very loyal Pokemon. Plus bonus counterpart to Primo's Ceruledge >:3c

Rotom: silly little guy who likes motors and electronics and machinery!! Also Bruno having a ghost type and being. yknow. a robotic copy of a dead man. I think it suits him.

Yanmega: T.G. Recipro Dragonfly, it literally has eyes covered with a red visor, it's super fast and its design echoes a vehicle (aircraft rather than motorcycle, but still.)

Registeel/Regieleki: in Tag Force 6 Bruno uses and seems to really like Machina Fortress, so I wanted to give him a big 'ol bulky Steel Type. Antinomy gets Regieleki as a counterpart because it's literally The Fastest Pokemon, probably great for Delta Accel Synchro <3 Also Modern Age/electricity/android type invocations...

Porygon/Porygon2: Bruno needs a boxy little computer friend!! Antinomy gettin the evolved form since a big part of Porygon2's lore is that it was made for space travel...thinkin bout that duel again. The Porygon line, Porygon2 especially, also has a really similar color palette to Bruno's various forms!

Miraidon: ok ive seen people give Jack Miraidon and i get it, it's his color palette, BUT LIKE. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BRUNO POKEMON EVER. literal robot motorcycle from the future who washes up on the beach with limited memories!!! it has a silly goofy friendly form and a badass powered up fighter form!!! it can be the perfect counterpart to Yusei having a Koraidon!!! LISTEN.

LESTER:

Skarmory: Meklord Emperor Skiel of course!!! Violent metal bird moment!!

Wingull: in the Tag Force games Lester really likes the Stuffed Seagull Plush item and I think that's just so cute

Zorua: Little red-haired mischief-maker that can create illusions and false appearances?? IT'S PERFECT FOR HIM.

Klang: From the episode when he infiltrated the twins' school, he used Gear Golem the Moving Fortress....gotta give him some gears.

Durant: Skiel Guard! Little weird metal bugaboo :]

Iron Bundle: challenging myself to give all the Iliaster members (aside from Z-one) Future Paradox Pokemon...Lester of course gets the Bird one. It even shoots a laser like Skiel does!!

PRIMO:

Bisharp: god his whole team is just Mean Blade Guys but like. Look at Him. That's Primo. the way Bisharp commands an army of Pawniard the way Primo commands the Diablo also relevant.

Ceruledge: This is kind of the Primo Pokemon of All Time For Me--haunted grudge-powered knight that "cuts its enemies to pieces without mercy" with sword arms infused with "the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal"--like... COME ON. DUDE.

Mega Beedrill: gotta shout out the iconic bee commentary of course, and also it's Another Violent Pokemon With Sharp Dangerous Blade-like Arms.

Melmetal: MEKLORD EMPEROR WISEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scizor: Metal-clad evolution of a blade-armed beast, also violent and merciless. And it does the thing where it uses its pincers to look like it has three heads--funny for one of Aporia's components~

Iron Valiant: ANOTHER PRIMO POKEMON OF ALL TIME FROM GEN 9. LIKE!!! White robot with a big dangerous sword, created by a mad science supposedly, "said to be cruel enough to take its brilliantly shining blade and cut down anyone confronting it without hesitation"... THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT

JAKOB:

Mega Aggron: Granel <3 Big fuckoff metal monster. I also thought it would be fun to try and give the Three Nobles each a pure Steel type Pokemon for the Robot Funsies.

Barraskewda: For Granel's bizarrely fish-like canons and components--Barraskewda also being based on a projectile weapon a bonus, too.

Skeledirge: GOTTA give one of the Nobles something that ties into their sub opera singer namesakes, plus Skeledirge's Spanish influence is perfect for Jakob/Jose. And its an aquatic-based animal like all of Granel's components, too :^)

Alolan Golem: For Jakob's big old beard and eyebrow, PLUS it's a grumpy stubborn beast that launches electric rock blasts. Just suits him imo.

Ursaring: gave myself the added challenge of giving The Three Nobles each an unevolved Pokemon that Aporia has the fully evolved form of.... Jakob gets Ursaring for their matching surly expression and eye(s) plus the Guts ability boosting Attack when inflicted with a status effect is perfect for the Gaining Power Through Suffering motif of these guys <3

Iron Hands: Freakishly powerful big bulky electric robot monster!!! Yellow color motif like Granel!!! probably one of the most Meklord-y Paradox Pokemon, to me.

PARADOX sidenote it's so fucked up he just doesnt have a tag force sprite. sad!

Origin Dialga: Since his whole deal in BBT is having a deck of stolen Legendary Iconic Dragon Cards, i GOTTA indulge and give Paradox a bunch of Legendary Dragon Pokemon!!! Origin Dialga is for the time travel and also it's just a bizarre creature that feels on par with Malefic Paradox and Truth Dragon tbh. Plus it was created by Arceus, and Pdox was created by Z-one <3

Zekrom: GEE PARADOX WHY DOES YOUR MOM LET YOU HAVE TWO UNOVA DRAGONS... he's got that whole black and white color motif with his mask/the Malefic dragon armor. And Zekrom's got an engine...like a motorcycle...

Reshiram: Beautiful long haired bishie of a dragon plus the aforementioned black and white motifs. Also the concept of wanting to make a true AND ideal new future is really fun and kind of Very at play with Paradox~

Espathra: A.) im a Psychic Duelist Paradox truther, I rly wanted to give him a Psychic type, B.) Espathra is a violent weirdo that literally has his hair color palette/style. In my mind's eye this was his partner Pokemon originally ....Paradox with a Flittle is so funny to me.

Roaring Moon: if anyone deserves an Ancient AND Future Paradox Pokemon it's... WELL. THIS GUY. Malefics are almost all Dark Dragons so give him the freakish vicious Dragon/Dark that's like a twisted version of an existing monster (much like how Malefics are twisted versions of existing cards ;])

Iron Treads: Successfully continuing to give all the Iliaster guys Future pdox 'mons...Iron Treads is a big robot tire effectively which works great for a guy who motorcycles through time!!!

SHERRY:

Lunala: For that freaky Soul Binding Gate skeleton door, also a Pokemon that is brought under Necrozma's (Z-one's) power. Sherry having Lunala and Aporia having Solgaleo also just makes me a little insane.

Florges: FRENCH. FLOWER LADY. EASY PICK.

Rapidash: For Horse of the Floral Knights/Sherry's horse shaped duel runner...i love that she's a horse girl 🥴

Teddiursa: For that TEDDY BEAR!!! And also, again, her having a Pokemon from the same line as Pokemon Aporia has is just a fun detail for me.

Tsareena: 100% female. Floral Knights/Chevalier le Fleur. Kicks and fights triumphantly.

Iron Leaves: in general Virizion is already a perfect Sherry 'mon (grass horse, based on French literature, etc.) and I imagine she originally had one before it somehow Became an Iron Leaves when she joined Iliaster :^)

APORIA:

Solgaleo: i mean. He Just Looks Exactly Like One!!!! Also Steel/Psychic is a really good type for this big miserable monster lion angel robot. Plus it can be controlled by Necrozma.

Kingambit: Evolved form of Primo's Bisharp, a powerful and intense leader that fights primarily with brute strength. It's also got an ability that boosts its power the more of its allies fall (die <3) Power through suffering!!!

Silvally: Synthetic chimera of mishmashed fused parts created in a lab :) Can only evolve and reach its true potential through friendship :))) also giving him Silvally and Z-one Arceus just to make myself a little sick in the head.

Klingklang: Evolved form of Lester's Klang, mechanical 'mon that echoes the Ark Cradle's Sun Gear(s) that Aporia protects

Ursaluna: Evolve form of Jakob's Ursaring, hulking powerful bear with big claws and a back sail that looks exactly like Aporia's big metal halo.

Iron Jugulis: MEKLORD ASTRO DRAGON TRISKELION!!!! also a hydra like Aporia's duel runner >:D

Z-ONE:

Necrozma: first of all it kind of looks like Z-one's freaky life support+huge claws contraption second of all something something Infinite Light vs. Necrozma being a light consuming monster third of all the way it can dominate and lord over Solgaleo and Lunala. pounds my fists on the pavement.

Celebi: HE'S THE BIG BAD HE GETS AS MANY LEGENDARIES AS HE WANTS and he needs Celebi of course. Time Angel :)

Omastar: Freaky ancient Pokemon that resembles the nautilus shape of Z-one's contraption...also there's something about fossils being kept alive in there somewhere I'm sure.

Mimikyu: this is like. perfect for him tbh HDHGSDFG Wears the guise of another Pokemon and pretends to be it (and I would definitely give Yusei a Pikachu,) reacts with violence and panic when pushed into a corner, Fairy type (like all the Timelords are), competitively can fill the niche of being Difficult and full of underhanded status effects and tactics and I think that's just lovely for Z-one <3 In my mind's eye I like to think this was his partner Pokemon from even before The Yusei Factkinning Event.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna: Well it's literally got the odd 'device' clamped over one of its (weird glowing) eyes and also. For Aporia <3 That's Aporia <33 Z-one's giant time-displaced apex predator with a big weird circle on its forehead <3333

Arceus: THAT'S GOD BABEYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made Jimmy Solidarity a Pokemon team for a life series Pokemon au that I will not be making further lol

I actually have a reason for all the Pokemon that I chose for his team :D and there's a few references/details in the drawing as well of course. I actually really enjoyed drawing this, especially the colouring :]

I will list the reasons for why I chose the Pokemon for his team here:

- Skitty: Flick, I've seen a few people give Jimmy a skitty for Norman but I personally feel it fits Flick better because I see skitty as being a bit more energetic which I'm pretty sure is the case for Flick? If I remember that correctly

- Espurr: Norman! I still had to include big man Norman of course, so I made him a different yet more chill cat Pokemon!

- Paldean Wooper: i remember a picture of him with one as a plush posted somewhere, it will be shown below here, also I think it just kind of matches his vibe + codfather or judge Judy and Executioner reference perhaps?

- Staraptor: I wanted to include a bird, and it also reminds me of the bad boys!! Also just wanted to give him a cool Pokemon tbh

- Banette: it's a reference to sheriff Jimmy being referred to as a toy, it could've been a different pokemon of course but I think it's lore is cool and with a stretch of the imagination could fit. I mean, a toy that got thrown out and became alive? Maybe that could fit..

- Absol: I think it's lore fits, as it is a Pokemon that can sense/know when there will be a disaster but said to be the cause. That fits in with the whole people calling Jimmy a canary or a bringer of doom. There are better posts explaining why Absole fits Jimmy though, so I would suggest looking those up :]

Now you are allowed to disagree with these pokemon choices of course, but this is simply the idea I had for his team! :D

Chat Noir with my baby llama plushies!!! Chat Noir cheers me on often, be that writing or roleplaying, and the baby llamas are huge comfort plushies to me :'3 (they're names are TBH (the white one) and BTW (the blue one!!)) One time, my step-dad balanced the baby llamas on his shoulders for like. 20 minutes cause he knew it'd make me happy fgsvcv :DD

TADA!! Watermelon and King!! I snuggle with Watermelon every night, she's so soft :3 and I hug King a lot too hehe (he's special cause he's missing a tooth!)

Ahh thank you! It's definitely one of the best purchases I've made this year! Looking around, the large Pika plush was on average 65 USD and the Dedenne plush was around 36 USD. I got mine for 18 USD and 3 USD respectively so definitely a bargain haha

Aww that's sweet to know! I've always wanted a Pokemon squishmallow but have yet to find them in my area. Those are such good plushies to have! May you be able to get the Blissey one! Hello! Here’s the start of a mini series!

Basically a few years ago I drew my favorite and my brother’s favorite Pokémon, but at the time I didn’t do a lot. They were all traditional drawn uncolored outlines and were a lot messier than the drawings I do know(blame the left hand)

But Pokémon means a lot to mean and drawings them helps improve my style on non human characters(I do hope to make a graphic novel and actually sell original character work, since you can’t sell fanart. Still doesn’t work to show it off for free though), so I decided to spend the month redrawing those Pokémon. I do plan to draw mine and my other brother’s work as well, so you can look forward to that sometime this year. But anywho, here they are!

This one is a tie as his original 10th favorite was Scizor due to the cool design and typing. However after playing Scarlet and Violet after not playing Pokémon since he finished gen 6, he grew to adore Corviknight and the bird took the spot instead. Purple is his favorite color, Steel is one of his favorite types, and Ravens are his favorite animal due to the important they play in his life. His spirit animal is a Raven, his favorite sports team is the Ravens, and whenever something important happens to him(good or bad), a Raven was present during or right beforehand. Along with this, he used one named Jayda for his entire Violet playthrough and ended up being the sole reason he beat Turo his first try. All in all, he adores both of these Pokémon so I decided to include both. As for the drawing itself, besides the wing I like how this came out despite its simplicity compared to future entries.

This will be a shorter entry. He simply enjoys the concept of the Garbodor line, their designs, and how they act. As for the drawing itself, I think it’s one of my weaker ones as it feel more empty than it should. I like how Trubbish came out but I feel I could’ve added more or due something bigger with Ingo’s inevitable disappearance. But I think it still turned out alright!

This was originally gonna be a completely different image of Goodra sleeping and water from a leaf spilling on him but the brother this wasn’t for suggested I do a parody of My Neighbor Totoro. I never done a rain scene before so I wanted to kill him(I actually wrote the writing on that sign, and it is my proudest achievement) but I would be lying if I said this wasn’t my favorite one I done. As for his reasoning, in both X and Violet my brother out in the effort to actually get a Goodra(which is pretty hard to do for anyone who hasn’t since not only is it in the slow experience group but it also requires it to be raining in the overworld) which took him hours in X to do but both times resulted in Goodra being used a lot on his final team.

Most have Gengar drawings as really creepy or really cool, but I wanted to take a different approach and draw Ash’s Gengar. Apparently I can also draw a really good Gengar but can’t draw a Pikachu to save my life. I also unintentionally finished this the day Ash’s final episode released. As for his reasoning, he’s been playing the games since Yellow and watched the anime since Indigo. Since Gengar was always a prominent figure and ghost is his favorite type, he’s grown quite attached to him.

Speaking of growing attached to, you can’t escape Jigglypuff in this household. This is his favorite of the drawings though you probably shouldn’t look too long it unless you want a headache. But he has always loved Jigglypuff, and not for its gimmick in the anime. He main Jigglypuff in Smash Bros and has recently bought a life size Jigglypuff plush which has ironically been helping his Insommia. He hasn’t been drawn on yet though.

This was the image I was most excited to draw. When coming up with ideas my brain went “Skitty Rescue Brigade with Admiral Delcatty” and I respond “that is the dumbest idea I ever had…I have to do it.” Needless to say, this is my second favorite I’ve done even if I forgot the shadowing on the Wailmers. As for his reasoning, he loves whales and was on a swim team for years. That’s pretty much it.

This took four whole days to draw. I despise drawing Gen 6 characters; they are too detailed in design for my liking. But like Goodra, my brother put in the effort to get one in Gen 6, and used one on later teams which made him bond heavily with Sylveon.

Dusknoir didn’t kill the kid and Dusknoir isn’t evil, I will fight you on this. It’s his second favorite drawing and bonus points to anyone who knows what episode the image is based on. My brother really loves Dusknoir, and a huge part was seeing in Pokepark. That’s a game we grew up on(I’ll talk about it on my entry list) and he loved the personality he had. He enjoyed him in Mystery Dungeon, I caught one for him in Shield, and he even cosplayed him for a convention. Dusknoir just really means a lot to him.

Probably my other drawing I feel is a little weak, though took some inspiration from Lost Silver and the Giovanni theory. But while his first game was Yellow, his true first game was Silver with his starter being Totodile. He would play the games a lot as a kid, so he spent a lot of time with this evolution line. I feel most of us have a starter in our top 10 because while they are just given to us instead of earned, you tend to spend a lot of time with them due to that. His small role in Pokepark also helped him get this spo. However, his favorite was no contest.

It was always Lugia. This love started from seeing Pokémon 2000 as a kid and adoring the “Jesus Bird” as he puts it on screen. So when he saw Lugia on the cover of Silver, he didn’t hesitate to buy the game and pour hours into it. The Gen 2 games ended up being some of his all time favorite games, with Lugia to thank for getting him truly into the franchise. He has a Lugia figurine and plans to one day buy a Lugia plush. His favorite list does change around overtime, but this will always be his favorite.

ironic that I only wear black (mainly) and my top 3 favorite pokemon are sylveon, skitty, and shiny virizion. the color pink, a longstanding enemy of mine, yet I still have a rather soft spot for it. to me, pink is defiant, but idk if others see it that way. a color chosen to represent women in today's society, scorn upon those who wear it "wrong," praise to those who do it "right." growing up, I always hated pink: it represented everything I never wanted to be. I never wanted to be a home maker and cook and clean and also work 40+ hours a week and take care of children. this terrified me as a child, and I grew to detest anything that would link me and femininity, ie., the color pink. I can't explain the rage my mother unleashed upon finding all the baby dolls I hadn't been playing with under my bed (re: at least a dozen). there were also unopened barbies and other baby/doll related toys and my mom grabbed one she'd gotten me recently and said, angrily, "come on, we are going to Walmart to exchange this for something you'd actually want." I, naively believed that I had finally gotten it to her, as I clutched my new giant stuffed orca plush I had found on clearance for $9 (she had spent like $40 on the gift we returned and I told her to keep the rest to make her feel better). but it was just one battle in the war to "make me a woman," something I never wanted to be.

eventually I would end up conforming to their ideals and standards (loosely) of how I was "supposed" to act and behave. I was too broken down, depressed, and tired of fighting. it was easier (on the surface level) to conform than it was to continue to fight. even still, though I tried my hardest to fill this role imposed upon me, I still loathed pink. anything but pink. pink was the personification of womanhood and why I hated living my life like this.

I was 17 when I first heard the term transgender. at first, I didn't get it (I'm a little dense sometimes), but then I kept reading the definition on that computer in the GT room that was being used to host the first ever meeting of the school's first ever GSA club. when I thought I finally understood it, my first thought was "yeah, makes sense," and then I moved on. I liked my skirts and my dresses, I liked to put on makeup every day, I liked to cook dinner every night, I didn't mind bending over backwards for everyone in my life.

when I was 19, it was a like a slap in the face one day. talking with a friend, it finally dawned upon me I didn't have to do this; I didn't have to *be* like this. I was... distraught, to say the least. a lot of things clicked into place for me (being a "tomboy," not liking "girly" toys or shows, always wearing "boys" clothes, having the feeling like there's something missing), and it *hurt*. what do you *mean* that I don't have be a woman if I don't want to be? this thought kept running through my head, along with the anger of everyone who forced me into being more feminine than I ever wanted to be.

I wanted to scream. I was so angry that it took 19 years of my life to find out that I didn't have to be a woman, that I could be literally *anything* else. it wasn't pink's fault. pink was whay I imagined was oppressing me, but it wasn't a simple color, it was society at large.

I'm older now, not as angry any more, but still sad. its not good to imagine how your life would have turned out if you had known information sooner, there's no use in speculating. I am what I am, neither man nor woman, and it's because of that that I feel comfortable enough to embrace pink again. pink has been a constant throughout my life, and I kind of hope that never goes away.

As the employee moved past her and towards the plush toys, Safine could immediately sense her own panic slowly melt away. It was, however, quickly superseded by a great wave of embarrassment washing right over her. Safine was painfully aware of the fact that she should have been more than capable of handling such a trivial matter -- she was a functioning and self-sufficient adult, after all -- and relying on someone else already busy with paid labour was not what most would describe as, "a good look."

She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, quietly, as to not make the other woman aware of her sigh and potentially get across any wrong messages. Heavens, no. There was little she could do about her blush, though, one that originated both from her own sense of shame and... how pretty the store employee was, admittedly. Blonde hair, cute makeup, the blue lipstick especially that really popped and stood out, along with the sharp angles of her face. It all made for quite the attractive appearance.

Ah... gorgeous ladies. One of Safine's greatest weaknesses, unsurprisingly.

Safine did the best to avoid eye contact for as long as she could, up until the blonde presented a plush that she (rather slowly) recognised as a Skitty. Its shut eyes and mischievous grin immediately stole her heart as she wordlessly took the toy into her own hands, her fingers once again sinking into soft goodness. Once again she inhaled deeply, this time her breath shuddering, and...

The dam broke and all self-control went screaming out the window as Safine buried her face into the Skitty doll's, gaving what was perhaps the most frustrated groan in her entire life.

"UUUuuugghhhh, why are the Pokémon dolls so CUTE yet so PRICEY combined?!! THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!"

An awkward silence hung in the air as every other customer present stopped what they were doing to stare at Safine, her face still buried in the plush toy's own and yet completely aware of the unwanted attention she was receiving. Her blush reddened further, and for a brief moment she considered leaving the department store this instant and drowning herself in the nearby sea.

This day was going swimmingly (haha).

Slowly, surely, the other shop-goers awkwardly went back to minding their own business. The situation was not completely impossible to salvage, and Safine removed her face from the doll to turn her attention back to the employee. Though the blush remained, Safine's expression was now borderline serene. Her voice, as it would soon turn out, would work together with her blush to betray her embarrassment, however.

"Ah, y- yes," Safine stuttered, "it's indeed very soft. And, uh, good quality."

She took another deep breath, held it for a second, and exhaled quickly.

"Thanks. I probably would've, uh, bought one of everything. If you hadn't... helped me single one out. That might have murdered my wallet in broad daylight, haha..."

There was another pause, Safine's gaze shyly shifting down to the tile floor. She could very well go down to the first floor and to the cashier, yet a large part of her figured it would be rude to the (pretty) woman who just helped her. And an even larger part of her wanted to try shooting her shot, so to speak.

Thus...

"My, uh, my name is... Safine. Safine Drakos. Nice to meet you, Miss...?"

Lord, she really did not like working during open hours. Sharlene let out a huff as she cut open the large cardboard box by her side, opening it to reveal piles of various cushions. A customer pushed past her rather rudely when she reached down to grab a Zigzagoon patterned pillow, and it took just about everything in her to keep from snapping at them.

Not like getting angry at a rude customer would do her any good. 'The customer's always right', including when they chose to treat her like dirt. She would be the one to get in trouble, of course.

"Whatever," She grumbled under her breath, shoving the cushion onto the shelves. She'd have to talk to her boss about her schedule—Sharlene didn't exactly enjoy working the night shift, but a messed up sleep schedule was better than dealing with inconsiderate customers all the time. Maybe.

Speaking of, as she continued organizing pillows and cushions onto she shelves, a panicked voice sounded beside her, and she glanced up to see a girl—surprisingly tall, especially compared to Sharlene, and rather curvaceous with shimmering black hair. She was shyly hiding her face behind a Wynaut plush, though she could clearly see her deep ocean eyes when she peeked out from behind it.

Good lord.

"Uh..." It took a second for her words to register, but as soon as they did, Sharlene shook her head and cleared her throat. "Yeah, uh, don't worry about botherin' me, 's what I'm here for." She properly stands up, walking past the girl to the doll section just a few shelves away, and places a hand on her chin as she scanned the plushies.

"Well... If you want my opinion, then..." She reaches for a plush, before turning and offering it to the girl. "Skitty's pretty cute, I think. It's, uh... It's soft. Good quality." Even in her work uniform, she quickly realized that it was pretty obvious that Skitty didn't fit her aesthetic, and a wave of embarrassment flooded her senses as she felt a little self-conscious.

- katy likes to listen to music while baking, and often she can't resist humming and singing along and larry absolutely loves listening to her!! sometimes she tries to rope him into singing duets with her and he reluctantly joins even though he hates his singing voice.

- whenever larry has to go out shopping he's always keeping an eye out for things katy would like! things like cute little cookie cutters and other kinds of kitchen items (think a cooking timer that looks like a strawberry or a pair of oven mitts with skitty printed on them for example), plushies of her favorite bug type pokemon or her other faves like teddiursa, bath bombs in her favorite scents, and sometimes flowers. she's grateful for every single gift.

- christmas is katy's favorite holiday and she goes all out baking elaborately decorated holiday-themed treats to gift to her loved ones. larry isn't one to get very enthusiastic about the holidays, because for him having to think about gifts and decorations just adds that much more stress to his workload, but her enthusiasm is a bit infectious and every year he looks forward to eating the delicious pastries she bakes for the two of them. he also takes special care to choose out the perfect gift for her, or at least the most perfect gift he can afford on his salary.

- katy has the absolute cutest plush that larry once got her for valentine's day of a shiny ribombee holding a heart that says "i love you" on it. it was difficult to find and a little pricey--teddiursa-themed valentine's gifts are much more common, so they're usually what he gets her, but that year he wanted to get her something a little more unique and knew it was perfect as soon as he saw it.

- okay, listen, i know it's funny to imagine that larry is so extremely normal and boring that he has unbuttered toast and plain oatmeal for breakfast, but canonically he is a foodie. his gym challenge is literally to order a special dish at the restaurant he frequents and when you first speak to him he gives you cooking advice. he loves good food, he adores katy's baking (and katy herself, obviously), and she loves to give him the first try of any dessert she makes and have him sample potential additions to the soapberry patisserie's menu.

- also, he gets very exhausted from all the work he has to do and likes to spend a lot of time a lot of his free time napping, but he does have hobbies! he likes to cook for katy and himself when he has the time and they both love to read and talk about their favorite books. sometimes they just sit and read together.

- he's not really the best cook--he's decent at it, sure, but in true larry fashion, overall his cooking is pretty average. but katy loves eating whatever he cooks, and letting him know she loves it, because he took the time to make it and because it's a chance for them to just sit down and relax together.

- larry is very touch starved and katy is very physically affectionate and can't wait to shower him with love when he comes home from work each day.

- i think at some point after their relationship gets serious katy would probably let larry know she feels sad that they can't spend as much time together as she'd like due to his work hours, and insist that he doesn't need to work so much since she also works as a gym leader and runs a bakery and it's clearly making him miserable. eventually he'd give in and agree to work less and find that he's much happier for it.

- she teaches him how to do latte art!! like with his cooking, he's not amazing at it, but he does enjoy it a lot and loves showing her new designs he figured out how to do. and she genuinely thinks it's really sweet and will send her friends pictures of the simple little hearts or chocolate syrup spirals he put into her coffee, hyping him up like he's actually the most talented latte artist ever.
