long overdue hyperfixation rant

holy fuck I love Moon knight so much. I love Steven and Marc so much. I love the depiction of DID. I love how their dynamic starts off as very closed off and defensive at first and then grows very close and brotherly. it reminds me so much of our own system dynamics.. like I see myself in Marc.. I see myself and other parts in Steven.

I also love how he's literally just A Guy before Khonsu. he already had DID. meeting Khonsu didn't give him "powers" mimicking DID like other media does. you don't have to stretch or headacnnon it. he is literally a guy WITH DID. it is confirmed. and being Konshus avatar only gave him the suit and it gave him the same shit it gives every other avatar before him. my point being that being Khonsu's avatar was not what the cause of his DID. the show writers and Oscar Isaac did actual research into DID and portrayed it well.

the show also explains the trauma that caused his DID too. they *show* DID. he has DID !!! and he's a hero despite his "flaws", despite not having everything figured out, despite making mistakes. Moonknight shows people like me that I can be okay. he was literally just a traumatized guy who happened to stumble into the world of the gods and I think they show it beautifully through the show

and don't even get me started on the technical aspects. like the use of mirrors??? and the set builds??? the foreshadowing???? I love.

I just really love this show

Thinking about Krile.

Krile, who woke up one day from a coma to find that she was alone in the world. Who lost her home, her colleagues, her friends, the legacy of her grandfather, all in an instant. Who found out that the gift that she'd cursed for half her life saved her, and no one else. Who thought that maybe, at least her childhood friend and her dearest friend, both in distant Eorzea, might be safe and alive. Who received nothing but silence from either of them. Much like Minfilia carried on with a smile when she heard her dearest friend Krile was in a coma. Because there was work to do. #didnt mean to do this one in quote unquote colour but it wasnt legible without it so. heres a treat i suppose #isat #isat spoilers #in stars and time #in stars and time fanart #isat fanart #isat loop #isat bonnie #lucabyteart #coughs up a lung. anyway. ramble time as per usual. this is what i was warming up for btw in case it wasnt obvious #besides being another entry in the 'letting bonnie read loop for filth on accident' series. this is mostly self indulgent musings on #headcanons (and i will just use that word here.) ive previously rambled about in other tags and posts #namely: in the scenario that loop integrates into the party as a New Person for quite a while before The Truth Come Out. i feel they have #a decent chance at really scoring a slam dunk in becoming a guardian figure for bonnie? loop's demeanor is already colder and a tiny #bit more level-headed than siffrin's in the way they seem to discuss bonnie with them. namely pointing out that bonnie #never really hated them. it seems to be one thing they're genuinely at peace with? they've seen by now the truth that bonnie #was just scared and upset. and likely now knows that what bonnie wants is to be treated with grown-up respect within reason. plus loop #already scores bonus points with bonnie since they didnt 1. fuck up bad like sif did in act 5 and 2. saved sif in the party's eyes #... but then when it turns out that this clean-slate relationship with a stranger was siffrin being deceitful? must have been odd.#bonnie seems to really dislike being lied to. the question is whether they'd see it that way? would they feel betrayed there?#anyway. this is set after all those emotions are at least settled some. loop able to be more physically affectionate... and yet #still not letting themselves be quite as close as they'd like perhaps. perhaps...#anyway translucent pyjamas because i dont care if you're comforting a crying child you've GOT to SERVE!!!#and also i feel like the party probably wouldn't let loop stay completely naked for that long. especially not post-reveal anyway

ART RAMBLES: as i mentioned on the tags of my last drawing this piece gave me SUCH a headache #i think it's probably cos it was just supposed to be a quick sketch so i used a more stable pencil brush #but then i really liked it so i decided to properly colour it instead of just doing the watercolour thing i usually do for sketches #but with finished pieces i like the lineart to be kinda messy and the sketch to even show through bit #and since i used the more stable brush for the sketch it ended up looking WAY too clean. not like my stuff at all.#so i just started throwing stuff at the wall to see what could make it more interesting. full background! actual lineart! texture layers!#and this here is what i was the happiest with. i don't... love it though. it should be looking way more interesting given the pose #and then i also did the purge girl halfway through this and it looked SO good right out of the bat (pun intended)#so i went a bit into a spiral. did some realistic stuff i'll post soon. and now am trying out a thick black lineart style.#(i'll definitely still use the coloured lines for the sketchy watercolour stuff though. it just looks way too cute)
