Been thinking about Vincent Nigel Murray having tics recently

i feel like people forget that characters don’t always just like. fall in love instantly. like they can have genuine feelings and not be IN LOVE yet. like there are layers. no, neither kant or bison are IN LOVE with each other yet. that doesn’t make the feelings they do have any less real? it doesn’t make it less painful for kant to realize he’s actively falling for someone he also has to betray or for bison to know how suspicious kant is and also be actively falling for him. same goes for style and fadel, like no i don’t think either of them are IN LOVE yet… it doesn’t mean they’re not still interested? it doesn’t mean their feelings aren’t genuine, that they aren’t enjoying each others company? there IS a middle ground believe it or not. you have to fall in order to be in love - these characters are still in the falling stage

#quite literally OBVIOUSLY they’re not in love yet #but it’s also crazy to think these feelings suddenly came about this episode either #like i saw someone say kant only felt something for bison after he helped with babe and like.#you’re entitled to your opinion but kant was giggling kicking his feet after just their one night stand #he had a crush! so of course his feelings have only been growing??#like you could make the argument for when he started seeing bison as a PERSON #like i personally think it’s when he saw those northern lights pics #but you don’t need to see someone as a real person to find them cute and have a crush either #cause in a lot of ways when those fluttery feelings exist it’s an idolized version #or in kants case - mix of oh i think he’s cute and good in bed and also he’s a killer #so there’s those two extremes he’s battling and then he sees the northern lights and realizes bison has dreams and is like oh.#yknow??#this post is also partially inspired by rosy assuming i meant style was in love bc i said he wanted to pursue fadel for real last week shsk #so rosy if you see this love u #the heart killers

i think it would be really funny if, as we watch these leaders grow closer and gain more knowledge of one another, the rap battles shifted from the freestyle back and forth exchanges we’ve been seeing but instead became a rap battles featuring diss tracks lol

perhaps the reason this sickness is hanging on is in part due to the fact i have to rescue the puppies from being put outside to sleep at night. they don’t have their second coats yet!!! they can’t be outside at night!!! in winter!!!! it’s sub freezing let’s use our fucking brains!!!

Not to sound like an angry old man but one of the things that bothers me most both when I’m teaching my kiddos and when I’m in class with adult beginners is that like there is etiquette in ballet class that’s just archaic and shitty, there’s etiquette in ballet that’s just about courtesy/tradition, and then there’s etiquette that’s there for safety

And ppl tend to pick up on the second pretty quickly both as kids and adults—like thanking the teacher/pianist, being quiet when the teacher is talking, etc.—but they’re really bad at the third category, which is imo the most important

And like obv some of that is because they haven’t been taught but, frankly, a lot of ballet etiquette is learned through observation—noticing that, hey, if all the experienced dancers are starting this combination from the corner in the same formation, maybe I should, too. But people (both kids and adults!) just…don’t seem to pay very much attention to that side of things?? Even though it can literally save you from or give you a broken ankle depending on if you’re doing it correctly or not??

And I get that when you’re focusing really hard on understanding the steps or combination, less of your mind is on spacing/not getting tackled by your neighbor—but people (mostly adults for this one) get like kind of uppity about it?? When they’re? Wrong???

#idk why I’m thinking abt this at the moment #and tbc I think starting ballet as an adult is badass #I just. would like a teeeny bit more self awareness #I’ve had ppl either a) just fully stand in a spot where they’re going to get hit/kicked/etc #and then get pissed that someone nearly hit them (but didn’t)#or b) get annoyed about other dancers asking them to scoot slightly so there’s space for everyone #and it’s like ???? dude #ahem anyway #this has been ‘random ballet thoughts with curio’#off to class where i will likely see some of all of this #but I do have new compression socks to try 🤗🤗#personal

status effect “mentally clocked in” needs to be nerfed. i can feel my mood decay in real time while doing absolutely fucking nothing.

#i‚ high calibre dumbass that i am‚ agreed to take on a second news paper route for a few weeks #thinking for sure the heat won’t be so bad at the end of august #which was already a massive mistake #and then apparently something absolutely catastrophic happened in production so deliveries were delayed #and they couldn’t tell us for sure when deliveries would be done #so i was checking a nearby delivery point every hour since 8pm #(usually they’re already there by 4pm)#in the end i started my route at 2am and had to cut it short because exhaustion and the fucking sun kicked in when i was only halfway done #and of course whenever there are production issues #it’s because the publisher sold so much ad space the papers were thrice as thick as normal #so i’m dealing with the heat‚ baseline double workload + paper thickness multiplier #and i’m jittery because i have an unfinished task just hanging over my head and can do nothing about it until tonight #good #great #i lost 2 days over 6 hours’ worth of minimum wage #i know my brain loves to set itself on fire over schedule changes but this is ridiculous
