heyy! i was hoping to request a percy x eris! reader.

like since eris is the goddess of strife everyone thinks the reader would be all dark and gloomy all the time, but reader is a literal ball of sunshine, complete opposite of what everyone says.

but just because reader’s personality is opposite of their mom it doesn’t mean they doesn’t use their powers. i was thinking they have the ability to create conflict, like during battle and stuff reader can make their opponents fight eachother.

Despite there being very few children of Eris now, I feel like most people know of the destructive power her offsprings hold

There's even cautionary tales amongst half-bloods to leave an area where discord settles in human hearts unless you want to backstab your friends

Children of Eris have been known to lack empathy for others, preferring to watch as people tear each other part over the littlest of things

This had made them starting catalysts for wars back in the day, until Olympus decided 'reducing' Eris' children would be better for human-kind

Her children still roam the world though, spreading chaos and strife just by their mere presence

Now when Percy was told this information for his quest to retrieve one of Eris' children and bring them back to camp, he was not expecting reader to be such a bubbly person

Homeboy was ready to battle them and take them back to camp by force if he needed to, something he really didn't want to do, but he was very much confused and unsettled to see how different reader was to what he was told

Instead of being a dark brooding figure, taking delight in chaos you were creating, you sat by your lonesome, appearing upset with all the arguing and fighting happening around you

While people yelled at each other, you would try to help them settle down and make peace, though this would only cause louder arguing between everyone

Everywhere you went, you spread discord and strife amongst the people you passed

Couples on dates would find the smallest thing to nitpick their partners over, customers and workers would argue over the dumbest inconvenience that shouldn't have bothered anyone

It was as if you were the living embodiment of 'having a bad day'

So when he finally approaches you, he couldn't stop the fluttering in his heart at the sight of your bright smile!

You were kind and compliant when he told you of his quest, something he wasn't expecting at all

Percy was waiting for you to at least put up some fight but you never did. Instead you just followed him with a pep in your step, happily talking to him about any and everything

Reader's presence itself causes calamity, their aura affecting everybody near them. It's puts people in a trance

I feel like people would see reader as a bad omen, a source of bad luck to stay away from

This shows with their interactions with Percy!

He sees that you're a naturally friendly person, but you always seem a little desperate talking with him

Like you think that he's gonna leave once he knows how unforgiving your power truly is😔

When he sees you use your power for the first time against some monsters chasing you, it sort of clicks just how controlling you actually are

The monster once working together now clash against each other after only a few minutes of finding you both

You'd glare at them and flick your hands towards them, a wave of your discord hitting them head on

"You've messed with the wrong person, I will not tolerate this disrespect."

Even reader knows their own power and influence to cause strife within anything

Honestly this serves as a perfect distraction for any situation cuz any party involved is gonna be too busy to notice the two of you sneaking by them

Of course there are people who are able to resist readers influence, those who are powerful enough to clear their mind from them. Percy is included in this category

Once you settle in camp, most people avoid you for the most part even when you finally control your mother's given powers💔💔

You try to approach people with a friendly smile and positive attitude but I guess people get too wary

The cabin you would most get along with is Ares, no doubt

It's just nature for children of Eris and Ares to get along as the gods themselves have worked together in the past on many occasions

Percy still sticks close to your side though, always reassuring you when you feel like giving up on making any friends

I think campers would start approaching Eris!Reader more once they witness them arguing with Dionysus over a situation

Whether it be over something simple as a cancelled game of capture the flag, or sending people out on an important quest that cannot wait, it's clear that the argument is in readers favor

The god and demigod are both quick witted, making back and forth talk look as easy as breathing

Its obvious your natural power backs the wine god himself into a corner when he cant find another excuse for his decision

And really? He'll never win an argument against the god of strife and discord's child

He sees Eris' unforgiving gaze in your eyes

So he puffs his chest and mutters a few words before disappearing with a low, "It's your life, not mine."

Reader def gets brownie points from the camp for not backing down against Dionysus

Hell even Percy is cheering you on as everyone surrounds you

"You're so cool! I don't think i could ever speak like that to Dionysus of all people."

"Oh it was really nothing..."

I think everything would be smooth sailing from there

“Okay, you’re right.” He hugs you one last time. “I’ll come back immediately once my night shift is done, my love.” With that, he tears himself away from you and leaves the room. You go back to the bed and get inside, it’s comfortable, but not as comfortable as when Sanji is with you. He’ll be here soon though, so it’s okay. That’s what you tell yourself, anyway, but when you try to sleep you start to worry. It was already pretty cold in the day, how cold is it now? The bed is really comfy though… You imagine Sanji, alone, in the cold and freezing sadly, the thought makes you get up. You’ll just check how he’s doing quickly, so you won’t bother him. Getting up, you leave the room. Immediately it’s colder than inside, but not too bad still. It’s when you leave the ship that you realize how cold it is. You’re careful though, spotting Sanji. He seems fine at first, but you notice him shiver a bit, lighting a cigarette to give some warmth.

‘This won’t do, I’m not going to leave him like that.’ With a determination to help your boyfriend, you go back to your room and grab blankets; then head into the kitchen. Coffee.. it would help with keeping him awake, but he’s already smoking. Having just coffee and cigarettes, that’d be pretty sad, so instead you decide to brew him a nice tea. Brook’s taught you how to brew it before, tea isn’t too hard anyway, so you do well. You even remember how Sanji likes it, then you brew a cup for yourself. Now you have two cups of tea and a thick blanket… how are you going to carry this. You carefully wrap the blanket around yourself and tie it, then hold the teacups on a plate. Off you go!

‘Was he really just planning on sucking it up and keeping watch despite the cold?’ You think to yourself as you watch Sanji, then begin to slowly sneak to him. It doesn’t work out though, the moment he senses you he turns.

“Love?” He’s a bit confused for a moment before hurrying over to you. “Why are you out here? It’s cold..!” You both can’t be too loud, crewmates are sleeping.

“Exactly, it’s cold, you didn’t even think to bring something to warm you up? I could've given you a blanket.” He shakes his head at your words.

“Taking a blanket from you? I wouldn’t, you..” He trails off as he notices the tea, staring at it. “Is that.. for me?” You nod and his face flushes. “You made two.” He takes the teacup carefully like it’s an heirloom being passed down to him. “It must’ve been cold then.”

“It wasn’t, I made it because I’m staying out here with you.” You state and he stares at you, eyes slightly wide.

“You don’t have to stay out here with me, I’m going back to the room soon-”

“I’m not doing this for me, baby, I know you’re cold. I’m not letting my boyfriend just suck it up.” You take a sip of your own tea, then sit on the deck. Sanji is frozen for a moment but then quickly goes to you, before he can try and let you have the blanket you wrap it around the both of you. “We can keep eachother warm, so stay close, okay?” He looks at you, adoration and love in his eyes as he cuddles close to you.

“...Okay.” Sanji says quietly, taking a sip of the tea you made for him. It settles in his body, warming it up, but more than anything the fact that you came out here for him makes everything feel warm. His hands that were previously freezing feel cozy now, along with his heart when he was out here alone without you. He would never ask you to do this for him, but you did it. This memory locks its way into his mind as you both stay close to each other, cuddling until the sea around you has never felt more pleasant.

“Ugh, lovebirds.” Zoro says, disgusted as you two sit cuddling. You look to him and put a finger to your lips to shush him, the swordsman noticing a sleeping Sanji comfortably resting on you. chris groans, a pout taking up his face as he rolls off the bed so you can get up.

chris whispers in your ear, "are you still mad at me?"

you smile slightly, watching as matt's eyes roll at how many times your conversation has been interrupted by your boyfriend.

he frowns, "i was just hungry..." he excuses, looking at you with doe eyes and dilated pupils. he now smiles, "you're so pretty."

his smile grows. he continues to pick at his food, not lifting his head from your shoulder once. you could tell he was still a bit drowsy, so you weren't too hard on him about his attitude.

you are a lover girl. a hopeless romantic, someone who dreams of finding "the one" and living happily ever after. kie often says you tend to fall in love a little with everyone you meet. you can't help it though, you have so much love in you, it feels like you'll burst at the seams if you don't share it with others.

you think you're in love with your best friend jj maybank. no one understands you the way the wild blond haired boy does. no one can communicate with you with just a single look the way jj does. no one makes your heart beat out of your chest and your tummy flutter the way his dimpled smile does, eyes crinkling at the corners, a slight sunburn on his nose because lord know that boy doesn't use the sunscreen you bought him.

so yeah you're in love with jj maybank but then yesterday a different boy kissed you. pope heyward, your other best friend, genius extraordinaire whom you thought was maybe in love with kie but no- he kissed you and you felt a tingle in your ever beating heart. heat filled your cheeks and your ears became fuzzy. that was a new feeling when it came to pope. it made you excited to explore because as much as you love jj, you don't think the boy would ever return your undying affection because your friendship meant too much.

you stood in the threshold of popes bedroom, gasp stuck in your throat, eyes wide and mouth open at the sight before you. you’re not sure how to process what you’re seeing.

before you on the bed that pope kissed you on not even 24 hours ago, is jj maybank, your closest friend, kissing the heyward boy.

so many emotions flow through you at the sight before you.

shock because not once has jj; or pope for that matter mentioned or even hinted that they liked men- or each other. then again, jj has always liked beautiful people and pope is certainly that.

sadness because you and pope had literally just kissed. maybe you were naive to think a simple kiss meant something more to the boy, but it was pope, you don't think there's a mean bone in his body. then again you’ve always been too much of a romantic, too blinded to really see what’s in front of you. blinded by your want and need to be loved that perhaps you create situations in your mind that you interpret as reality? maybe you need to contact your therapist again. you're sounding even more delusional than before.

lastly, you feel jealousy. the angry green monster rumbling around in your tummy, making its way up your throat. you’re not sure what exactly is making you jealous because the image of the two boys kissing is surely confusing. are you jealous because pope is kissing another person who isn’t you? a part of you is jealous because he’s kissing jj. or maybe it’s that jj is kissing pope or that maybe they’re kissing eachother and they're not kissing you? you're not sure at this point. dear diary jealousy is a disease babes, and you are infected.

you must have made a noise because next thing you know, the two boys are pulling apart, a string of spit still connecting them and for a second your love rattled brain is jealous of it. the spit that is, because deep down you’ve always known that you wanted them both… to be the one to connect them. you feel slightly crazy being jealous of spit.

jjs face goes beat red and then flushes pale, like a ghost. he looks terrified and like he might vomit all over the floor in a second.

“grace!” popes panicked voice reaches your ears but they’re still kind of ringing from the shock of seeing your supposedly straight best friends kiss.

in your heartbroken haze you wonder if you're being a bad ally right now. you love the gays you swear! you just never pictured pope and jj as being a part of the gays ™.

you clear your throat, “jb and kie are waiting for us downstairs. we were going out on the boat today, remember?”

you try and say that as gently as possible because jj still looks like he’s going to pass out and pope isn’t much better.

popes hands are shaking as he reaches for you and a part of you wants to pull away but you’re not mean. you’ve never been mean so even if your feelings are hurt you’ll always put your best friends feelings above your own. and it looks like pope needs to touch you. maybe to hold your hand and reassure him you’re really standing there, witnessing something that you probably shouldn’t have.

so many emotions flicker through popes eyes. you can’t really see his blush but you’re sure if you touch his face it would be hotter than the sun.

pope grabs your hands in his shaking ones. you can feel how clammy they are and you hazard a look back to jj who has yet to even move. you’re a little concerned he’s gone into shock.

you let out a soft sigh and smile at the boys, a smile that is mostly genuine.

you squeeze popes hand and make eye contact with the panicked blonde boy on the bed.

“it’s ok jj. i won’t say anything if you don’t want me to.” you speak kindly, as if you’re talking to a scared feral cat.

you only see jj swallow hard. “for what it’s worth, i understand the appeal... wanting to kiss pope and all.” you tease hoping to cut the obvious tension in the room. you feel like you're the one choking now.

jj and pope both let out huffs like they’re afraid to laugh but also relieved you’re not upset.

“you’re not mad?” jj croaks like he still has a frog lodged in his throat. he looks at you with soft wonder, like you’re the best thing in his life. his stare makes your tummy flutter.

“of course not. you guys are my best friends. i only ever want you to be happy!” you reply honestly. jj deserves happiness after the shit life he’s been dealt. he deserves good things and if you have to set aside your feelings in order for him to have good things then by golly you’ll do that.

“grace, about yesterday-“ pope starts off,

“don’t worry buddy, already forgotten.” you cut him off. hopefully saving him the strife of having to apologize to you about the kiss and saving you the embarrassment of him telling you he regrets your kiss. you don't think you could survive hearing that out loud.

you march over to jj still holding popes hand, effectively dragging the boy with you. you throw your arms tightly around jjs neck and after a heartbeat, jj returns your hug. you move your head to look at pope and nod at him, encouraging him to join the hug.

“now c’mon. you know how pissy jb gets when he’s made to wait” you giggle.

you lead the boys out of popes room and home and into the twinkie without giving them an option of saying no.

“finally! i thought y’all died or something. what took so long” john b huffs in exasperation.

“my fault jb!” you quickly chirp so the boys don’t have to panic and think of a lie “pope showed me the new book he got and it’s my favourite and i starting gushing and you know me i can’t shut up and… well i forgot why i went up to get them in the first place” you giggle with a sheepish smile.

“you’re so lucky you’re cute, grace” kie laughs teasingly.

all of them happening at the same time is a bit overwhelming?? or maybe its jst me but theres too much going on every moment and such. its jst hard to actually focus/try to kill ppl? we have the slow to speedy thingy happening, the mobs dying and changing, which causes a lot of lag and deaths (gem to a vex is an example of this) cus theres a bunch of mobs to look out for, the trivia bot coming down sometimes at the worst possible moment (a snail chasing u n all), theres also the superpower card its kinda not been properly or well used during all this, and snails since they did end some series and caused a bunch of deaths in their past of being the main wildcard.

and: shiny duo again bc i cant not end this talking abt the wildcard(s) and i love them (sadly true)

- Ford is kind of pompous like 'Oh I'm not gonna be like those Other Teenagers that acts like an animal because of their secondary gender I'm above that'. First day he presents he attacks his father for saying he stinks. He's not above anything.

- Stan presents like half a week later same as my o/o fic because he's the younger twin, Filbrick isn't nearly as nice to let him get a swing in before he locks him in the bathroom until he stops clawing at the door like a feral cat.

- Caryn's behavior Changes around them when they present, she takes a back seat completely because shes afraid of alphas in general.

- Heats and Ruts both make the person super touch starved and lonely, it isn't long before Ford and Stan have figured out they can yell at eachother through the vents. Filbrick gets pissed at that though because you can hear them yelling from the shop so he just grabs Stan by the shirt and drags him into his room with Ford like "There! You wanna talk so bad, talk all you want!" and slams and locks the door.

- Filbrick knows what's gonna happen, Stan and Ford are sitting in eachothers' stink and suddenly everything they're doing is pissing eachother off. Ford says that aggression is a symptom and as long as Stan stays on his side of the room they'll be fine. Except both of them break this rule immediately because they wanna be closer to another body. Ford blames Stan, Stan blames Ford, they start fighting and-- Oh. OH THAT'S NOT FIGHTING--

- The way they were fighting from the start was weird through, Stanley was angry, Ford thought he would be just as feral as he was but. Stan isn't hitting him really, even though he's a good boxer. He's just kinda... Pulling Ford closer??? Not even to a point Ford can't get out of it, and Ford Knows if Stan wanted to restrain him he probably could. But Stan's just... Not. “you’re fucking insufferable! i’m not your girlfriend!” you shouted. slash had gotten mad at you yet again for flirting with another guy. you had gone to the bar with him, along with some of your friends and the rest of guns n roses. the guy had spotted you from across the bar and came up to you, asking to buy you a drink. he was cute, so you said yes. there was no reason for slash to be acting like this. you were just fuck buddies. nothing more.

“i don’t care! we aren’t just friends, so don’t fucking do that!” he shouted back, walking beside you as you made your way back to your car.

“don’t give me that shit. you had so many girls on your arms all night! you’re a fucking hypocrite!” you added.

you silently cursed the fact you came with him. as you approached your car, you dreaded having to drive him back to your apartment. slash didn’t have a place at the moment, so he was staying with you. this was gonna be a long, long night.

you both got in the car still screaming at eachother. this lasted the whole journey, until slash said something that really pissed you off.

“why are you acting like this anyway?” you had questioned him, “you don’t own me!”

you froze. the road was empty, so you actually stopped driving. “what?”

he’d tried other girls. he’d tried to let himself enjoy fucking them, but his mind always wandered back to you. he’d even bitten a few. but no one was as good as you. so one night when he couldn’t take it anymore, he went to your apartment.

you came to the door when you heard an aggressive knock on the door, wondering who it could possibly be at this time of night. you opened the door.

“hey.” slash smiled. evidently it had been raining, as he was completely soaked. you were shocked. what was he doing here?

“slash? what the fuck?”

he chuckled. “missed you, baby. so much.”

“i mean it. been thinking ‘bout you everyday, darling. lemme in, please. c’mon.”

you stared at him, still full of shock and not knowing what to say. he continued.

“let’s let the past be the past. i love you, babe. c’mon… let me in. please.”

you caved and stepped aside, allowing him to come inside. he grinned at you, and you almost swore you saw sharp fangs. you passed it off as tiredness and walked in behind him.

slash walked into your living room and sat down. you thought about the positives and negatives of this. you turned into the kitchen and got out a bottle of red and two glasses. if you were gonna talk to slash again, it might as well be over a drink.

you brought the two glasses into the living room, bringing the rest of the wine in after. you sat down on the plush sofa beside him and took a sip. slash looked at you. you sighed.

“thanks.” was all he said.

“well? you gonna say anything more?”

“thought i said all i needed to at the door.”

that made you laugh a bit. you sipped at the wine again. you glanced over at him, trying to read his expression. the dim lights cast a shadow on his face, and you silently cursed them. what was he thinking? you wanted to know.

“if you’re gonna show up unannounced at my door, least you can do is entertain me.”

“how about this?”

slash leaned over and kissed you hard. you squeaked in surprise, nearly drooping your wine. but like it was natural, you kissed him back with just as much fervour. it felt good. you hated that it did, but you couldn’t deny it.

you broke the kiss for air and set your glass down. climbing on top of the man, you kissed him again. even harder. his tongue swirled around yours, and everything felt like it did when you two were together.

things progressed quickly, and before you knew it, you were on your knees. slash sat on the sofa, guiding your head down his dick. you couldn’t fit all of him in your mouth, and wet sounds filled the room as you tried. he groaned loudly. you looked at him and you saw him lean his head back. this spurred you on, and you increased the intensity. within a minute or two more, slash came down your throat. you swallowed the most you could, but some still coated your lips.

“slash, what the f-” you screamed as he let go. you lent back and made eye contact with you. your stomach dropped. what had he done?

he didn’t say anything. he kept looking at you like he was waiting for something. you continued to babble, trying the find out why in god’s name he had done that. but your body started to feel weaker and weaker. you tried to steady yourself, but it was to no avail. you fell down into his lap in a deep sleep.

“sorry love,” he whispered to you, your blood dripping from his fangs onto your face, “guess you’ll have to stay with me forever now.”
