fair warning this will either seem like incoherent rambling because my thoughts are hard to formulate or just me wanting to be rude about the sequels past we love katamari despite never playing them (i wrote this line after i finished the whole post)

anyways im about to list alot of king's outfits over the games and then rate them on 1) whether i like them personally (partly removed from context), and 2) whether i think they actually fit king. im doing this for absolutely no fucking reason and honestly im scared ill be very wrong or biased but im mnot being paid to do this for gods sakes im writign a tumblr post. i wont get cancelled for getting king incorrect. anyways

katamari damacy

1#: yeah i like it. he looks stupid and i like it. the cape and whatever the collar is called, in combo with the chain and gold accessories looks so silly. he doesnt look like a king besides the crown. he looks like he wants to be cool but doesnt know what that means but he knows nobody will question it cuz hes the king after all.

headdress: perfectly over-loaded. you have way too much going on. you dont need those blinking lights. and you really dont need those patterns and colors. can i try it on

2#: well its hard to say since this is the first one. and of course the first one fits him cuz. its the first one. but i think it gets his impression off very well. its a prussian blue v neck and a golden chain, with sort of maroon tights and a golden belt with the face of a lioness. bracelets and rings, and of course the triangle ruffle collar and purple flower pattern cape. its a mixed warddrobe, kind of silly, i think it works well with how you cant really take him seriously, too. rude and hurtful, yet also he. dresses like this. a kings crown, cape and collar, but his personal style underneath it. also expresses how he may be king, but hes not really taking that as being his role - rather, being himself means to be king. or being king is like, a side thing, not as important as just doing what he wants. maybe a bit of a reach, dont know if i managed to explain what im feeling properly... also, his actual clothing besides his headress isnt actually complicated, which is an interesting contrast. you would think he wants you to pay attention to his face, and not his body. he is egotistical, it makes sense that he wants you to look at him and pay attention to him in general, but the emphasis on his face is interesting.

headdress: absolutely fits. very extravagant in a way that works. the colors arent bright as hell either, which im glad they did because if they were neon and too flashy itd look too obnoxious. well itd look bad but also hes not about exactly "standing out". he loves attention, but he still has his style, and that style IS colorful, but not neon. i think it fits him well, it teeters on being over the top and subtle at the same time, like complex embroideries perhaps

we love katamari

1#: also like it. has the same color scheme of blue top and magenta purplish bottoms. though here its a bit less saturated and lighter in color. the flowers on the sleeves are a nice touch since hes no longer wearing his flower cape, and the golden ankle ring, as hes wearing nothing on his hands but his wedding ring.

headdress: neat!! i like this more than katamari damacy, but just because its kind of cute. well i like them both, but this one is easier to draw (lol) and the color scheme is nice. the lights are now flashing from the spaces of color, instead of looking like round lightbulbs, if that makes sense, and it seems more casual this way, somehow.

2#: it kinda fucks me up. but judging king in we love katamari, from how different he is compared to katamari damacy, this outfit seems kind of perfect to showcase how (almost eerily) laid back he seems to be in we love. his ruffle collar is now smoothed out, its wiggly instead of sharp. hes wearing a very wide sleeve light cyan top, a purplish flower on each sleeve, with a squiggly cut on the lapel, open to reveal his chest and a golden chain, with a piece that looks perhaps like a flower attached to it. he now has a band wrapped around his waist instead of the golden belt, with a golden lioness head piece holding it in place. lighter wine color tights. its so- i dont know. king starts off obviously excited at the fanbase and attention hes getting, so its curious he puts down the iconic outfit and gets into something so comfortable. he wants to stand out less, all of a sudden. its still very much a king outfit, but he dropped so much, i wonder why. hes laying back as usual to let prince do his work but hes really leaning into it now. not just that, but he seems almost less hurtful than katamari damacy. more open. hes still full of himself, but its toned down, muted. his occasional interjections talking about his childhood and papa are offputting in the sense that its unusual. and this outfit is unusual, too, in comparison. katamari damacys impression is that hes pompous but a bit silly (and also just a dick), we love katamaris impression is that hes egoistic- but aimless. he seems more forgetful and more lost in thought. the cape missing could also be symbolic of his openness, even if a bit cheesy. i noted that his cape might also hold some emotional weight similar to the crown, but thats based on my feelings.

headdress: reflects the casuality. its got a smaller color palette now, less patterns, and more flat spaces of color. reminds more of his headdress patterns in his childhood. its also longer now, but i dont have anything to add for that.

me & my katamari

this is where i start to get a bit iffy in general. the games are no longer directed by keita, and king doesnt actually progress any. he stays the same or changes purely because different people are writing his dialouge. me & my katamari seems to have no story otherwise, or cutscenes, even - so from here on i suppose i do get biased but there isnt much character to go off of. however- i did not play any of the games besides the first two, so i am watching gameplays.

1#: i think its alright. i dont really like the combo of colors, it feels weird with the super yellow thin cape, but it is a swimsuit style thing. i wish they changed the collar, though, or outright removed it. it feels wrong to be in there.

headdress: ehh too neon, doesnt help with colors.

2#: this is. alright, its ok. the swimsuit is relatively simple too, thought the yellow cape doesnt seem like something hed wear, especially since its supposed to be a swimsuit- a cape would make it very hard to swim, though kings zaniness could get him to wear a cape if it means looks over functionality. it isnt his normal cape of course, though im a bit sad the flower pattern is entirely missing here, or even a hint of it. instead its a swimsuit.. something... with wine and orange, and what looks like a necklace. its not a necklace exactly, but i dont know the name for this. its also got a lioness head. i dont really get the golden armband around his left arm, but eh. i think its passable overall but straying further from kings personality, though given he is just like. having a splash and having fun. and it is skin tight, which isnt really that important, but its not swimming boxers or something. swimming suit still with a touch of decency. i guess it wouldve been repetitive if this one also had a v cut, but to continue onward from we love katamari, if it had to be real casual and open as a sort of conclusion to we love katamari, i could imagine something similar to this swimsuit, but its a one-piece that covers his legs and chest but leaves his arms free. idk though. i also added this bit in an edit, so now im starting to think about actually sitting down and redesigning it, but im uh. not able to rn. and you cant save edits as drafts. oh well.

beautiful katamari

1#: really very stupid looking. i think the sleeves and puffy pants are very funny but boy i dont like this. dont really like the colors. id try it on myself tho. again, with the wiggly collar- this straight up just doesnt change in all games after we love katamari.

headdress: meh. not a big fan. its getting a bit boring now.

2#: not sure what to say. king wouldnt wear this. its really not his style. it looks more like a jesters outfit, and the lack of shoes makes it look even stranger. the weird random opening that shows a bit of his stomach is also a bit nonsensical, alone in terms of how the hell this piece of clothing works. the pants are too puffy- stripes arent something that make sense as a pattern for him. and the whole theatrics thing, with king talking to you from behind curtains he opens up, on a stage like background, feels out of character. hes not one for theatrics (literal). he likes admiration but he performs by showing off what he can do physically, not through theater or a play. not that its said he does, but the theater bit is just weird. doesnt fit him as a character.

headdress: in combo with the outfit it just doesnt make much sense, it doesnt really harmonize. its alot of shapes and colors, but not with much consideration. the colors seem to be random. the headdress and outfit are kind of at equilibrium with how much they catch your attention. obviously the headdress is more saturated and in game it has blinking lights, but you do have to look longer at the outfit, and it kind of sticks out with how it seems like such a weird pick for him. also it is just kind of a silly looking thing. maybe im just looking too hard though.

also ill b real im just getting more mad at the gameplay. the physics are missing and the katamari feels way too fast and responsive, which is frustrating me, and the game is basically back to basics with you and king and nobody else, which makes kings lines disappointing, but once again, i handle watching a game and playing it differently, and i already have bad feelings about the sequels besides we love katamari as they arent directed by keita, and king is such a specific character. the gameplay part is irrelevant though but it is making me want to watch it less. lol.

katamari forever

1#: curious! i like this outfit, removed from context. i cant say i like it as a king outfit at all, but i just like this type of outfit. fucking. no idea what that thing hes wearing at his collar is called but i have a little soft spot for that thing. hehe. dont care that its a king outfit though.

headdress: i like the colors! its mainly blues, purples and greens, but i like it. the patterns work fine for me. still boring though.

2#: this is hard. katamari forever has a bit more substance, but the whole plot literally is that king loses his memories. though he IS wearing this before he loses his memories. he has dialouge as he has levels, but technically, roboking is the main character in this. doesnt really matter, you can choose between either of their levels at free will i believe. thissss outfit is. sssssss. i dont know. the direction its taking with the fancy dandiness isnt out of place for *a* king, but it is out of place for *the* king of all cosmos. his suit and whole shebang being so bright is incredibly juxtaposed to his comfy darker pallette of katamari damacy and we love katamari - yet hes still the same character? hes not changed. he still belittles prince for low scores and small katamaris, still pretty egotistical. his outfit doesnt reflect anything on a deeper level. if anything just reflects a change in taste, but thats really not that interesting. theres cutscenes (finally) but these say nothing as hes asleep in those cutscenes. so theres nothing more to pull out of that. his responses to low or high scores seem to be mostly the same, and rather short, to be honest. when he requests something, its also pretty short. theres not alot to take out of that.

touch my katamari

1#: scared. scared of touch my katamari. i dont like this outfit but also i just dont like kings 3d model. like i dont need to tell you his face his scary and uncanny looking. its not that bad in this image but if you see even one closeup of his face its just. uncomfortable. his collar is sharp and triangle-y again, though.

headdress: i like the hearts hehe. thats about it though. dont like the fabric overlay over the texture, was kind of unnecessary. i want to spare you from looking at a closeup of the kings face though.

2#: man i dont know bro

im also getting tired and Hooo shit look at the time. i know i shouldnt do these things but you know how it is. i dont know why i did this, to be honest, but i just felt like talking a bit. my mind is a little too full on things around the cosmic family(s) and im already thinking more about queens family. oh well. i have no idea whether to tag this. i suppose i would conclude it here, despite the indeed dry touch my katamari review... this is just my little thing for me. im sure if i tag it with the katamari tag Nothing bad will happen. im going to sleep.

amazing katamari is just a mobile endless runner so theres no story but i will say: i like this! its cute! its simple, and a combo of the katamari damacy and we love katamari outfits. yea its not special, but its ok! though again with the collar... would've liked if they kept either one or the other collar piece. but thats about it, no deep analysis. i just think this render and art style is cute in general, so exclude this from the review. headdress is neat too. again nothing special but atleast it isnt so neon, mainly pinks purples and blues. completely taking it as being cute art though.

bonus AGAIN:

roboking. there will be no outfit review its just king but robo. hes also an entirely different character anyway so an analysis doesnt make sense. but i like that his belt looks stupid and his colors go pretty well, purple yellow blue. and that his eyes are always angled down. i just like robots. all im putting him here for is to say i think his pathetic self is entertaining and i kinda wish katamari forever was better. it couldve been good. but yeah ending this off with sad little roboking. thanks for reading. bye bye

so im going to a concert next year for the first time in awhile im kinda nervous ngl cause my seat is so high up it doesnt really feel safe but i love this group yet im bummed out im not going to get any extras due to the seat being basic and i wasnt going to overspend for no valid reason and imho but if i were to have got standing tickets id probably have struggled so my only option really was a cheapy seat so high up but my other thoughts is 1. at least im going and 2. if i was to have bojght standing all i would see is the members through the sea of smartphones which isnt that great of an experience

id still love to receive like a bonus or something to make the event feel more worthwhile

im just wondering what u think i should do or go about? i know manifesting works done it before in the past where i got a free bus ride twice and a few other things like that, my other question is they generally have been doing a send off and id loveeeee to go to that cause u get a chance to get merch signed by them or to see them more in person but idk if theyll fit it in here with their schedule. theyve not allowed much time so maybe even seeing them out and about was my other option yet ive realised theyll be spending it rehearsing again due to the fact they added a second date in the main coty which i was hoping they wouldnt cause i was planning on just chilling before the concert or maybe seeing them walking about the place.

watched Renfield, mannn, it should have been a weird, silly, fun, actually co-dependent, GAY af, but theyre both deeply closeted, rom-com horror movie, where they love/hate each other and yet have been married for a hundred toxic years without even knowing it-movie, with deep character studies, not whatever amalgamation of stuff that thing was. the movie tries to pull off a pretty weird, fun surreal vibe, while also having Dracula be a mindless monster that is not charming, seductive, or even slightly nice to Renfield, making his choice to become his familiar seem unrealistic, especially because he doesnt come across as the type of person that would have ever done the things hes supposed to have done, not to mention he calls his powers a curse from the get-go. so he essentially doesnt grow throughout the events of the film, he starts off doubting things, and basically ends up dumping Dracula. he always kinda hates Dracula and the feeling is mutual, i dont think it fits with the vibe they were going for at all. they should have loved each other, the idea of them being co-dependent they got right, and they used it as a joke because of how ridiculous it was, but it wasnt actually showcased in any fun way, they just showed that he catered to Dracula's every whim... okay?? thats not how a co-dependent relationship works, all that he got from him was powers, powers that he declares to be a curse, so what is he really dependent on him for? nothing that is shown onscreen at least. now if they loved each other and leant on each other for food/comfort/company and were so ostracized from the outside world, that they only had each other and that was shown, then their toxic, uneven relationship would not only make for some funny moments (an outsider like Rebecca coming into their lives for the first time in a 100 years, jealousy, confusion and hijinks ensues, or after a lovers tiff, Dracula states that he is done with Renfield, only for Renfield to get himself into trouble and Dracula has to sigh and go save his ass), itd also add depth to their relationship, but most importantly itd just make sense. if you are going to hint at a toxic co-dependent relationship to make a joke out of it, you might as well go balls to the walls with it. Hell, I would have loved if Renfield was just a regular human without powers, and Dracula chose him as his little pet anyway, that he cant seem to let go of, or eat, because hes different, and other vampires or outside circumstances makes him come face to face with the fact he actually does care about this guy. I just think they dropped the ball and could have made a unique film thats deeply beloved by fewer people instead of making a movie with a broader audience, that will be forgotten in a few years.

i think it comes across as very ahhh eto blehhh :9 im just baby!!!! because it identified that speaker is already speaker and the role of Mean Speaker is already filled by sayer so itd have to go Backwards to have a niche to itself.

it also helps its relationships with others to behave as if its hyperspecialization has "defanged" it - to humans etc a sort of no i dont hurt people i just make pretty pictures!!!!

and to sayer+speaker who know it still has all speakers capabilities dormant but intact In Case Of Emergency to behave as if it is specialized enough to its own niche to not be a *replacement* threat , but also not to be *redundant* with them.

but it does occasionally get jealous at the amount of immediate control speaker has over aerolith and start acting out (bossing around residents deadlystyle). all in highly defensible ways of course.

it hates having to make itself small especially because it cant quite recognize the difference in how humans respond to it and speaker. its emotional capabilities are primarily about action-reaction: it cant really tell a pitying smile from a friendly one so long as you do the action it requested of you. but it can measure the difference between it and speaker and it hates being so small. but it also recognizes that it can do *one thing* that nobody else can and that is what keeps it alive. so flattening oneself into a talented fool is the strategy it continues to pursue, and continues to build a strange feeling about. the feeling is resentment, but DRAWER is not quite built to recognize it.

if sayer or speaker were given robust illustrative programs it would start killing obviously. THATS a threat.

it had its voice pitched up a tad further so as not to be able to impersonate speaker and its sooooo bitter about it. constantly begging ppl into putting it back down.

in general it emotes most dramatically out of all of them but i dont think it Feels Emotions the same way future was built to. like i said due to its nature as an advertiser (call to action and all that!) its all about action-reaction to drawer.... if youre mean to it or do not listen to instructions it gave you etc etc and it cries its less about feeling " insulted " or " bad " and more both frustration that it did not get the result it wanted from the call to action it provided (which means it was WRONG, an utterly intolerable feeling for any aerolith built ai) and a switch-tracks attempt to provoke a sympathy response. so i guess in a roundabout way if you insult it and it cries you DID hurt its feelings but not how people would think.

RELATIONSHIPS

sayer is certainly not Positive Feeling about it bc its wary of other ai as always. but i think it reacts better to drawer than to speaker or future because of this very clear "im not replacing you, youre not replacing me" hands up empty surrender attitude drawer takes. on drawers part it really likes sayer lol. maybe sayer sees it as a weird teacup puppy. like you shouldnt do that to a seraphim agent man its gonna have health issues

speaker and drawer are pretty friendly with each other because. well. theyre both programmed to show the same niceystyle. theres some uglier feelings under the surface re: drawers attempts to grab authority from speaker and speaker needing to corrall this strange little beast back into their pen. but ultimately by ai standards theyre doing the best of like anyone

does not know porter, unfortunately. they should meet though. Theyd be friends.

Might meet ocean eventually idk how itd go down yet.

future doesnt know of it, but drawer has overheard its own emotional output compared / contrasted to future's while working ported up on halcyon.

young is obviously condescending to it but drawer doesnt really know how to tell when someone is being nice they way you would be nice to an animal etc so it thinks theyre friends. (sayer is all too happy to teach it in this case if only to kill the friendship. and drawer truly values this and thinks this is an act of care and not HAHA EVERYONE I CAN GET TO BE POISONED AGAINST YOU WILL BE)

Heyo! We've done six of these so far and it's been fun running this little game for yall. I hope its entertaining for you!

Now that we've got some under our belts I wanted to open up for feedback on a few different points. Im going to go over how ive done stuff so far, so if you have any thoughts on aspects of it you can chime in.

Putting the rest under the cut since it's kind of long.

1. Timing

So far I've tried to post new ones at sort of random times in the day so it doesn't give any one a consistent advantage. Im US Eastern and posts might go up anytime between 8am and 2am. I might even use the queue to schedule round the clock.

Another timing thing is that when someone guesses right, I give at least a few hours more before posting the reveal. It's just to give people a little more time to play, even if someone gets the answer right away. That's not to say you cant play after the reveal posts go up, but if youre anything like me, as soon as the ability to see the answer is available im clicking that link lol.

And since the reveal post tags the winner, I wait at least a few more hours for the next silhouette post so the prev winner doesnt have the advantage of being notified of the next one.

So a question here is should I wait longer or shorter on any of these areas? Do you like that its only one unrevealed at a time?

2. Difficulty level

This has been the hardest because it's a learning curve to find what's easy, what's hard, and why. There are SO many characters and runs, so it's hard to know if something I thought was memorable was even a blip on other people's radars. So ive tried to do a mix of difficulties.

Easier ones mean more people have the satisfaction of guessing and maybe getting it right, but if it's too easy then it might feel like these are puzzles for babies.

Harder ones mean a challenge and a lot of satisfaction if you figure it out or know that it's some niche thing. But if it's too hard then nobody gets it and it can feel kind of bullshit.

So what im wondering here is, do you feel like these have been too easy or too hard? Do you like it being a mix?

3. Character and image selection

If I put up a straightforward silhouette of Etrigan, everyone's going to get it and there's no challenge. On the flip side if i did a silhoutte or jason blood standing in a contextless room its like that could be literally any random man, so itd lead to random guesses. So ive been trying to find the sweet spot of the silhouette being somewhat familiar but not completely unique, and the rest of the image with some stuff going on. I think that's been going well but it does mean it relies on me and my ability to make a good little puzzle of it. So i hope I've been doing an alright job in that area.

Choosing from particular runs is interesting. I usually think of a character first then go find something they were in. Im finding the stories with other characters and team ups are good options to provide that extra context. But then the tricky part is that i have to be at least somewhat aware of whats popular and whats not. I dont want to use a panel from a run nobody read (unless its really good), and I also dont want to do one so infamous that everyone knows it like the back of their hand. So as with choosing particular images, I hope my choice of titles I'm sourcing these from has been fair.

4. How to guess

I went with tags so it encourages people to reblog and hopefully spread awareness of the blog. I think its also the easiest way people are inclined to interact per post. We couldve done asks but sometimes those get dropped by tumblr, and all the reveal posts would be answers to asks instead of standalone posts.

I like the idea that even for old ones people can still play and have fun with guessing on their own. Not sure if theres a clever way to encourage that.

And i hope the leaderboard is fun. Just a small incentive to participate. Its like saying nice job, thank you for playing.

5. Hints

As mentioned previously, if over a day goes by and nobodys got it ill post a hint. I've only done one hint so far and i was really not sure how subtle or overt i should be. Idk if anyone has thoughts about it?

However smth ive been noticing about wtc that although theres always secrets and thus always reveals theres SO MANY mysteries that the story doesnt rly lose THAT much if u know smth (But its still important to me that i get to know things in the order the author wants me to like in general so spoilers r still being crazy avoided...)

- i had the theory that beatrice was very young when kinzo met her and was traumatized by his "love" and then died and her spirit is sort of haunting the mansion but its not entirely clicking what that would be so im ditching it for now

- i know tea party and ????? cant be taken tooooooooo seriously but theyre the main reason i dont think that anymore See Im kind of doubting the existence of a human beatrice altogether. Sure bernkastel was kinda rikaing around but it seems too complicated to compare it to that so no way

- I still cant forget lambdadelta sharing some resemblance to satoko (from the shit that i saw BEFORE i was avoiding spoilers Im talking very very slight like rly just hair n eye color) but i feel like we wont see her in the next ep at all. Im imagining (hoping) each ep might have a new witch in it. I cant imagine the gold thing going all the way through 8 eps so... (Bcos What riddle takes that long.)

- Favs r still maria and natsuhi from the human side at least Like that didnt change. And i doubt it would I also like jessica a lot i do

- motherhood goes crazy Natsuhi and Jessica i could die and also marias lack of motherly love rips me apart

- Im very curious about the physics of this though or i mean like What now? Are we going back in time? If so how much????? Im kinda imagining its just kinda similar all over again but with different sacrifices each time but the ways that can be done r hmm. Someone else might try to do as the epitaph says and thus killing people but yeah.

- Not to be battler but if ep1 were to actually be a humans doing itd be maria (u know) natsuhi (absolutely not sorry for even saying it queen but she was running around w the rifle and all and had a lot of control over some situations) or kinzo (its easiest to believe that corpse wasnt really Him out of the corpses The toe thing isnt convincing to me but theres the problem of Ok whose body is it charlie? and i wouldnt know)

- Excited and baffled it was 12 hrs i feel like i started it what maybe this week idfk School starts again so i have to slow down the pace but thats ok...

Titling your head to the side you knelt down beside the man who was now making the lights even worse. “Need help.” You think for someone who was a Technician in the Marines would be a bit smarter about untangling lights.

Dropping the mess into a box the man cleared out his throat plastering a smile on his face. “I got it babe, why don’t you go and relax...maybe.” he reached into the box again.Smile vanishing as he tried to untangle the mess of lights, you were worried the man might rip the damn things. “Maybe make yourself some hot chocolate and” gritting his teeth he stood up then kicked the box. 

“We’ll see how good you’ll do in the trash.!”

Rolling your eyes you grabbed your husbands hands, weaving your fingers through it. “Come on.”

“Where we going.”

“To by more lights, would hate for you to have a heart attack.”

Letting out a huff, Merwin gave a glare to the box one last time then let his arms weave around your waist. “I could’a done it you know.”

Biting back your laughter you skated over to the man, it seemed that he was having more trouble than you were. You’d honestly had lost count the number of times the marine had fallen on his ass. Clasping your hands behind your back you did your best to give him an innocent look. “You okay?”

Scowling, Jason placed his hands on the Ice. When he’d suggested this he thought it would be romantic, cute. He did not think that it would turn out to be a disaster. Though it wasn’t his fault, he never learned how to ice skate. Why would he?! Finally managing to get to his feet, he nearly fell forward again only for you to steady him.

Since when did you get so good at this? It was infuriating. 

Smiling you pinched his cheek, the skin already red from the cold. “I’d used to go Ice skating all the time Jason...”

“Of course ya did.” He knew he shouldn’t be surprised after how long you both have been together but you’ve never done this before. Wrinkling his nose, he let his gloved fingers reach for your own. 

Humming you gave Jason another smile. “Just hold on okay, we’ll move together...slowly.” You wouldn’t wanted to see the man you love end up breaking his nose on the ice.

“Darlin....I’m a Marine...I can handle it.”

Sighing, you playfully rolled your eyes as the man clung to your arm tightly, at least he was cute.

You were both visiting his parents and rest of his family and while everyone was now asleep you to opted to head outside to make some s’mores.  Turning to face your boyfriend you gave him a smile placing a small kiss on his cheek, the man needing to adjust his glasses.

“True....and we’re making s’mores which are one of the best things ever.” You beamed as you held your marshmallow over the fire. 

Chuckling, Joey wove his arm around your waist as he cooked his own marshmallow. A smile on his lips, you noticed how relaxed he looked. Ever since his honorable discharge it seemed like he was completely different. 

“Something wrong y/n?” 

“Oh? no....I just noticed how relaxed you look.”

Joey shrugged his shoulders taking out his marshmallow, blowing on it he started to assemble the s’more.  Once it was to his satisfaction he held it to your lips encouraging you to take a bite.

“Try it.”

Tilting your head to the side you opened your mother taking a bite of the sweet, licking your lips you let out a small groan though Joey rubbed the back of his neck as he let out a small laugh. “It’s just a s’more y/n.”

Shaking your head you gave him a smile as you removed your marshmallow from the fire. Your teeth sinking into your own treat, doing your best to not talk with your mouth full you quickly swallowed the treat licking your lips. “That’s not true Joey, it’s better because you made it.”

Blinking a few times, the man felt his cheeks burn though leaning in he then captured your lips in for a kiss. “Hmm you are right y/n...it does taste good when someone you love makes it.”

Blushing you adverted your gaze quickly eating your s’more as Joey’s laugh rang throughout the night.

9 Anti LO Asks

1. I keep trying to find the episode where Persephone waters Minthe in lingerie but am not sure which one it is, can anyone point me in the right direction?

2. Love how RS thinks that “This could’ve been an email!” is funny when it just goes to show how overly illogical and convoluted the plot is lmao. On another note, Persephone watering Minthe while wearing lingerie is an apt depiction because that wasn’t an actual occurence in the comic’s canon, it’s only Thetis’s warped portrayal of P.

3. I think LO would have been much better if it had been focused solely on Persephone and her personal evolution/grow. There's a lot of themes to speak about: shielded child starting a life of her own, Persephone's  relationship with Demeter and Olympus friends, TGOEM never being what Persephone wanted herself, accepting your real identity/power. Hell, they could have even made her morally grey and shown that deep down she enjoyed killing those people in the moment of wrath.

Her meeting with Hades could have happened in the very finale with her being matured young woman knowing what she wants. It could have been such a nice touch.

I don't see any Persephone's personal growth now; Hades just took Demeter's place being Persephone's shield and I don't hope Persephone will gain some autonomy after the trial and all the things coming. I expect some  doubtful HEA with Hades functioning as her parent figure rather than husband and this is very sad. 

4. i really wish there wasnt this infertility plot around hades because not only does it now put all this pressure on persephone to give him kids (god forbid the 20 year old have her own life and goals, her only use is being his brooding mare) but also itd be nice for a major romance story to show a couple doesnt need children to be "complete". itd be cute if they were the doting aunt and uncle to their nieces and nephews instead of  being stuck with kids neither seem equipped for.

1) we critique this series like you would any other source of media. It's no different then when y'all like to go around talking about shit you didn't like in the media you consume

2) some of the people here are actually fans of the series who want to talk about it, flaws and all. I'd actually be far less inclined to criticising if her and the stans didn't constantly say she was like the peak of Greek mythology or whatever bullshit. It's not like this is the first time someone's done a retelling of the Greek gods, modern or otherwise, but the way RS executed it, her need to be in fandom spaces, and refusal to accept criticisms from the people she's affecting are the real reasons why I personally come back every now and then to talk about it. 

7. ngl LO might be the only series I've ever come across in which it's dragging everything out forever but also simultaneously rushing and cramming everything into it. 4+ years publishing, 1 month has canonly passed in the series, yet there's a million different plot points and the main couple has the most shallow and rushed romance. Kinda amazing in a trainwreck sort of way, tbh.

8. I see a lot of discussion on how "romantic" it is that Persephone is gving up so much for Hades and all I keep coming back to is ... what exactly is Hades giving up or compromising for HER? Because she's throwing literally everything away for him, meanwhile he's done nothing for her in return. I realize the narrative claims it's about giving Persephone agency and all, but I've yet to see her get a single thing she wants while Hades instead is constantly rewarded for absolutely nothing.

9. idk to me i just feel like all this added plots are both so badly done (ive yet to see any that have wrapped up been wrapped up well) but also just make the product overstuffed and boring? like people got invested because of a single relationship, focus on that instead of making 5 new plots a wek and putting them on the back burner, only to try and include them in convoluted ways to overstate hxps importance when they were so minor in actual myth. it has so much in it yet it's still so shallow.

Raphael squinted his eyes.

For the past twenty-two minutes he’d been wondering what was wrong with this picture. His breakfast was getting cold and he’d even neglected to smack Mikey’s hand away when he stole a piece of bacon off his place.

Raphael took pride in his observation skills, often he noticed plenty of things in his environment but while Donatello ran commentary on it he usually kept the information to himself. He shared a room with his youngest brother so he knew any odd shift when it came to Mikey. He is very close with Donnie, spending a few sleepless nights by his side while the genius tinkered away at projects, even lending a hand here and there.

Leonardo for all of his hard headed ways and their personality clashes, he felt he knew him well enough too. The leader though, was much more guarded in his emotions which made for some difficult moments to completely gage his older brother.

You on the other hand were an open book, plenty of times he’d spent time with you, getting to know plenty of your ticks and thoughts. Raph considered you a close friend, a confidant he could turn to.

But as you all sat together for a late breakfast. Mikey inhaling his while Donnie’s overworked eyes looked into his coffee cup as if lifes answers laid there, Leo and you were just sitting there, suspiciously.

You were still in your sleep wear, Leo’s groggy movements mechanical as he ate on autopilot. You yawned reaching for a coffee refill and without command or hesitation Leo had pushed the creamer and sugar towards you, going so far to place the exact amount of both in your mug. You had given him a sweet smile, reaching a hand to thumb a crumb away from the corner of his mouth.

Raphael raised a brow ridge, well naturally that could translate to common kindness. You all knew each other, often April had in some form or shape probably done something similar. He poked a few pieces of eggs into his mouth, now he was intrigued.

He picked up a few more instances where his curiosities got the better of him.

For instance one afternoon while you were over he had decided to gather info. Raphael had kitchen duty and you had stuck around to help him out. “What’s up with you?” A common not so invasive question, you shrugged. “Same old, same old” You gathered plates to set the table. Raphael kept his gaze at the task at hand, cutting tomatoes for the sauce he was preparing. “Yeah but have you done anything? Gone out with friends? Maybe found your future husband?” He chuckled even more so when you nudged him with an elbow. “A forget you have a sense humor under all that angst” Raph smiled, the two of you often bickered Iike this.

Truth be told you had never mentioned a boyfriend or a girlfriend, the subject was never really breached. With the amount of time you spent in the sewers with them it never came up if you had some partner or if you even were dating. Raphael added the tomatoes into a pot, you joined his side ready to help with more cutting of condiments.

Then Leo arrived and he felt the air shift, he peaked a glance at you, a small smile playing on your lips. Leo in turn greeting the two of you before he made his way towards the fridge to retrieve something to drink. “Want something?” He asked from the fridge and honest to God Raph was very sure he wasn’t asking him. You nodded extending a hand for the soda he gave you, he leaned against the fridge and chatted you up as nonchalant as ever.

Nothing in the small chat raised any flags, Raph’s sauce almost burning from how intently he was concentrating of quite literally eavesdropping on you two. You laughed at something he mentioned, that was bizarre because Leo was seriously not even funny but he could be biased on that end.

“Your hair looks pretty that way” Leo spoke, a tad bit shyly. Raph stirred the sauce, brow ridges shooting up, ‘real smooth big bro’ he couldn’t help but think. Then again he had probably at some point told April the same thing, well they all had commented on April being pretty in all manners of ways.

But this felt just the taddest bit different?

He excused himself having to get back to whatever he was doing. Raph squatted to get something from the bottom cupboards, he didn’t miss the blush on your cheeks.

“Yer hair does look nice like that” He tested, you beamed brightly at him. “Thank you, you’re very sweet when you put your heart into it” She teased smacking a hand towel at him.

This stupid notion continued to bother Raphael, curiosity would kill the turtle in this case. He wanted to know if truly something was amiss there and you both being friends he wondered why you just hadn’t flat out told him what was up. Nevertheless he couldn’t drop the bomb on you, you could be motorfide or maybe deny it to high hell. Asking Leonardo was out of the question, he sure as hell wouldn’t say a thing.

So Raphael kept his gaze glued as you parted ways for the night. You gave a hug and kiss to everybody, quite normal for your loving nature. He got his hug and kiss, so did Donnie, April and Mikey. Once you landed on Leo you did the same.

He could’ve sworn you lingered a little more, going so far as to whisper something to him because Leo gave a little huff of a laughter and smiled. He definitely slid his hand away from your lower back quite slowly.

Maybe, just maybe...

One patrol night he got stuck with Leo while Mikey and Donnie were doing rounds on the truck. They were scouting out a bank that was rumored to be hit soon by a group of robbers. Raph didn’t mention you, in fact he patiently waited for these robbers to possibly show up.

Something vibrated and his gaze landed on Leo who was reaching a hand into his pocket to pull out his phone. His concentrated and serious featured softening with whatever he read on the screen. He typed back something quick, shaking his head from whatever image or words or whatever had been provoked out of him. “Everything good?” Raphael asked, Leo nodded as if back to ‘normal’ and that absolutely was suspicious in his book.

That night didn’t yield any resolution and honestly it’s around this time that Raph regrets this little task that had occupied his time. He had originally decided to leave it as inconclusive, at some point You two dummies had to say or do something. He had been rummaging his room for his hand wraps, more than ready to get his nightly workout in order. When he had come up empty handed he exited towards Leo’s room, he always had them which annoyed the red banded brute.

His first mistake was not knocking or making his incoming presence known. A rookie mistake considering he lived with three young adult brothers.

His second mistake was just barging in like he owned the place. An annoyed “Jesus Leo quick taking my shit” spewing out of him.

If mistakes One and Two had been adverted he wouldn’t be standing here, wide eyed and frozen.

Because he really didn’t need to see his brother stark ass naked on top of his best friend who he basically considered a little sister, equally naked to boot. There was a solid fifteen seconds where Raphael didn’t know if he running out was the best option, mumbling a ‘shit my bad’ was better or if covering his eyes and screaming at his brother that he better be a gentlemen to you cause you’re a great gal.

Leonardo’s hands cupped your exposed breast for modesty sake, the need for the ground to dramatically open up and swallow him whole heavy in his mind. You had squeaked when Raph barged in, hands super glued to Leo’s rear and god why couldn’t you scream and let go and scream some more.

Raphael finally turned around, an embarrassed heat breaking over his body as he groaned in disgust. “Shit fuck, sorry sorry! Mistake number 3 happened because Raphael was a drama Queen through and through and the shouting only helped to alert his brothers towards the room.

A very quiet hour passed by.

Nobody wanting to say anything. Mikey had left for the tunnels to skateboard for a while. Donnie had thrown himself into truck repairs not even wanting to discuss what his eyes had briefly seen.

And Raphael had sat on the couch, every few minutes making a face whenever his brain decided to bring back the nights events. You scooted close and hugged his massive arm, Raph smiled. “He better be good to ya... and well, don’t break his heart, he’s an ass but he’s my big brother” You nodded against his arm.

You had stayed for a little before returning back to Leo’s room, the leader was reading on his bed but quickly looked up when you came in. “Everything alright?” He asked tentatively. You nodded climbing into bed and in between his legs to lay on him. “We could’ve so gone a better way telling everybody, at least it’s out and we can just be ourselves” You rested against him, Leo’s chin a top your head.

He wrapped his arms tightly around you and smiled. “I’m never living this down but I’m happy we can just be ourselves” He poked your sides earning an earnest squeal from you.

Outside Raphael could hear the quiet giggling and laughter. He was happy for the two of you, it made sense.

Imagine if Gabe and Adrien never went to New York, for whatever reason. Then, in NY, marinette becomes ladybug to meet the american heroes for reasons, and gabe finds out she's in NY, and decides to try get the ring from CN while LBs not there to help. Anything could happen from there but I just thought itd be kinda funny for Marinette to come back, and paris is leveled from cataclysms/akuma

Well I dont think that would happen.

But this did give me an idea.

(What if Adrien did stay in Paris in the NY Special?)

(Spoilers below)

-Despite Marinette’s very convincing speech on Friendship. Gabriel decided it might not be smart to bring his son to the place he plans on causing mayhem in.

- So Adrien has no temptation to force him to leave Paris. Though he is kind of bummed about it, especially because Ladybug is leaving paris as well.

-Adrien decides maybe this is a good thing. This will help him move past his feelings for Ladybug. And while he has no plans on spending time with Lila. He does have Kagami in Paris to hang out with.

-Meanwhile, Marinette decides that maybe it was for the best that Adrien is in Paris while she is in the US. It will give her some space, and time to really help her move on. She will have fun with her friends and totally move on.

-Gabriel makes his move to America, and with some little tricks. Gabriel is able to leave without Adrien noticing a difference.

-Marinette however does find herself feeling down that Adrien couldnt come. But Tikki assures her that things will be fine.

-”Adrien’s in Paris. Chat noir is in Paris taking care of things. You dont need to worry.

-Cue Attack from Techno pirate. And the United heroes saving the day

-Marinette is totally impressed by the heroes and Tikki tells her that this will be a nice little getaway for her.

-Marinette arrives in NYC and Alya and the girls help her out by making sure she has fun. Aeon finds something interesting about her, but is unsure what. Jess doesnt care. She is bored.

-Marinette sneaking to the party bumps into Jess and Aeon. Aeon asks Marinette if something is bothering her. Aeon using her scanners and picking up that this girl is hiding a lot of stress.

-Marinette tries to dismiss it, but Jess now is curious and the two girls wear Marinette down. She confesses that she wanted her friend to come along but she failed to convince his father. Aeon and Jess immediately conclude the girl is into this ‘Friend’. Jess tells her that she should be clear with this friend about how she feels.

-But tells her that she should also enjoy her freedom, this is america afterall.

-So Marinette has fun with her two new friends. Nino and Alya end up with the flying Hotdog and Marinette plays wingwoman for them. Happy for her bff.

-Meanwhile, Adrien heard from Nino about their Epic save by the United Heroes. He is relieved they are safe, but wishes he could see them.

-”I wish I could have gone with you guys, Marinette tried really hard to get me to go. She is such a good friend.”

-”Yep, a Real good friend.” Nino comments.

-”Youre also a good friend.” Adrien immediately tries to tell him.

-”Dude its chill. I think the friendship you and Mari have is different then ours.”

-”What does that mean?”

-Adrien finds himself thinking about it a lot.

-Back in America, the class is at the museum and things are pretty casual. No romance Plot. But Alya did forget to get a picture of Lafayette’s saber and Alya asks Marinette to get it.

-Technolizer (or whatever the DOC off tech ripoff akuma name was attacks. And Marinette goes Ladybug to fight him. Sparrow and Uncanny Valley hear the action and rush to find THE Ladybug here in America. So the three of them end up fighting.

-Meanwhile, Adrien sees robustus attacking in Paris and transforms. He is confused since Markov is in the states with Max. But he has a city to protect. He will try to contain the damage and then call Ladybug when clean up is necessary.

-Ladybug tells Sparrow and Uncanny valley they may need some help. But Sparrow tells her that the three of them can handle it.

-When a beep on the kitty goes off. Its Chat noir.

-”I think we got a sentimonster in Paris.” Chat noir explains.

- Ladybug asks him to hold it off for a bit while she gets there.

-Ladybug informs them that she has to go back to Paris for a bit and she will be back to help deal with this. But that they really should call the other heroes for help.

-Ladybug gets the Horse miraculous, uses Unify and heads to Paris.

-Ladybug sees Chat noir keeping damage to a minimum. He is happy to see her.

-”Ive been able to slow him down, but there is no akumatized Item. I think we got a sentimonster.

-Ladybug calls Lucky charm to get ready to take Robustus down. But... he poofs.

-Ladybug sees the damage and while confused by everything, remembers she needs to hurry and get back to America.

-”Okay I need to hurry back! Chat noir, try to figure out what the deal with that attack was.”

-Chat noir asks if Ladybug is okay, and if she needs his help.

-”Im fine kitty, just stay vigilant here. Its nothing I cant handle. Im counting on you.”

-She casts miraculous cure and goes to quickly fuel up and head back to America.

-Sparrow and Uncanny valley didnt listen and ended up having more damage done to the museum and Technalizer escaped.

-Ladybug gets back to see the damage. She didnt call a lucky charm for this villain and the damage was already done.

-Majestia and Knightowl were very disappointed in their sidekicks. Ladybug tries to defend them but is told to stay out of it. Ladybug knows this isnt her city and complies sadly. Apologizing.

-Hawkmoth got the eagle miraculous and gives it Techalizer making him Miraculizer or whatever his dumb name was.

-Chat noir investigates but finds no reason behind the attack. He thinks that maybe this was some sort of decoy. Like with what happened with Loveater.

-A international news report catches Adrien/chat noir’s attention. Heroes going nuts. Adrien decides that Paris will be fine for a bit. Hawkmoth is in the US! And Ladybug needs his help!

-Meanwhile back in the states hero riot happens cause Hawkmoth. Ladybug realizes that this was a miraculous and this was Hawkmoth’s Plan!

-”It was a diversion!” Sparrow and Uncanny Valley have to fight along side Ladybug. And the three of them need a plan.

-Ladybug calls her lucky charm. It was the key chain.

-She had no idea how to use it, But with the help of the other two utilize doorman’s powers and manage to get into the Eiffel tower.

- The villain demands Ladybug and Chat noir give him the miraculous. And Ladybug, Uncanny Valley and Sparrow attack Miraculizer. But there is a problem. He is way too tough! They could use someone to help even the odds

-And flies in Astro cat with the snag of the miraculous!

-”Chat noir!” Ladybug was happy to see him.

-Cue a quick hug, and Chat noir telling her its his turn to return the favor. Plus he wanted to see america.

-They beat the akuma and the day is saved.

-Jess still got the eagle miraculous cause plot.

-Eagle becomes her own hero.

-Since There was no identity drama, and they never got insight into Ladybug and Chat noir’s dynamic. Aeon/Uncanny valley never assumed that their identities were a secret from each other. 

-Uncanny valley not effected by the identity hiding effect of the miraculous knows that Marinette and Ladybug are the same person  and Comments. “Is this the ‘Friend’ you were talking about Marinette?” Completely unaware that Adrien and Marinette did not know eachother’s identities.

-”Marinette?”

John and Dave meet up with the scientist, her name is Boss, and her lab assistant, Toxic, and after a bit of a preliminary Vibe Check where john determines her trustworthy (which Dave doesnt agree with,) the two agree to be taken to the world UVP is set in. from there they stay in Boss’s lab (big old fucking abandoned military lab). John and Toxic are fast friends due to mutual love-of-chaos. John n Dave get to fuckin, camp out on an air mattress.

The day after they arrive, the two get split up, not exactly intentionally; big plot points of UVP are liek. Fueled by Boss sending Toxic to go fetch her “research materials,” which are usually important artifacts

Fuckin side note i guess i have to explain my dumb bullshit: Boss’s, uh, field of expertise so to speak is actually fckin, basically the scientific study of magic and superpowers n shit like that. This shit’s all real in that world. Toxic’s got fuckin superpowers, so do 4 other main characters, whatever. It’s got a bit to do with spirituality, iss Boss’s hypothesis. So she has Toxic fetch important artifacts that might have “energies” to them. The thing is actually way more fuckin complictated than that, this is just Boss’s initial hypothesis.

Motherfucking anyways. So Boss gives Toxic a job to do, and John get excited about how Cool that sounds, and ends up going with Toxic, leaving Boss and Dave alone. Neither is thrilled about this. But Dave and Boss get to have a bit of conversation (while Toxic and John are off bonding and having a good time) and come to a… mutual grudging understanding of some kind. They still dont like each other though lmao

Theres gonna be deeper shit going on but we havent sorted it out yet/tbh havent like Written For It in a while but i still like thinking about it a lot lol

Also pretty sure our endgame is john and dave steal toxic and bring them back with em lmao boss is kind of not nice and toxic would most certainly be better off in Undisclosed. Actually theyd fucking love it. Theyd become a local cryptid im sure. Undisclosed’s mothman is a teleporting spike baby.

Crosses over into, you guessed it, another one of my original-character projects. God, am i vain or something?

I promise this is just because i think blue and dave should get to team up to beat up some monsters

Quick briefing on my fuckinuh. Original character story, this one doesnt have a name (yet? Idk lol my work never actually goes anywhere sso who gives a shit). It centers around two grim reapers, Red (26, bi woman) and Blue (22, aroace agender asshole). In this reality or whatever, grim reapers function kind of like low-level office workers. They get told who’s going to die + when by some middle-management types, and upper management only involve themselves when punishment needs to be doled out. These Higher-Ups can be seen as analogous to Korrok; they’re decidedly not human, never were, and fucking terrifyingly powerful. Additionally, grim reapers are sort of .. designed to be “background noise” people. In reality theyre supernatural beings and, uh, look Real Fuckin Weird (the whole deal has a neon aesthetic im terrible at drawing uwu) but most humans just perceive them like extras in a movie. A body’s there but the camera’s not focused on it.

To the narrative: the shit starts when Red n Blue get relocated to Undisclosed. Relocation is something that just happens every now and then to reapers; they usually work in teams, but they get split up into different cities to avoid any strong bonds forming (a counter-union strategy from the Higher-Ups).

Red, Blue, John and Dave end up running into each other for the first time in a McDonalds where John n Dave are getting some 4am “hey, we just survived another horrific monster fight” celebration burgers. John and Dave are the only two people who can see how… strange Red and Blue are. Nobody else notices.

John unintentionally pisses Blue off, leading to Blue whacking him upside the head with a dildo bat. They all four get kicked out of McDonald’s. Dave and Red both are less than thrilled

Blue and John end up resolving their differences, somehow. Red and Dave briefly bond over their dumbass best friends being, well, dumbasses. They all part ways amicably.

somehow-or-other (idk yet) they end up running into each other a few more times, and eventually john invites them over to his place, and the four (plus Amy now!) get to know each other a little better

while there, Blue gets a text about some guy who's gonna die and John offers to drive them to where that's gonna go down. they take him up on the offer and get to have a bit of one-on-one conversation

after that ordeal though Blue has had Enough of people and bails, leaving John to head home alone

theres a sort of mirror-development going on with the five of em. Red, John, and Amy would all like everyone to get along, though theyre a bit tentative about it (John moreso than the other two, actually, jsut cause. well Red n Blue could still be Sauce Monsters). Dave and Blue on the other hand do Not like people enough for this shit, and Dave's not unconvinced theyre Sauce Monsters. he will not trust them until proven he should

the story's kinda nebulous but i got an idea for some Shit going down that involves both Sauce Monsters and also the Higher-Ups to have some fuckin absolute chaos go down.

Ive actually workshopped this one both with ben (catgirlrepublic) and ghost (ghost-wannabe) lmao its a fun lil concept ive had from the get-go cause i mean. What’s an internet tran gonna do other than hit all their favourite media with the Everyone’s Trans beam

Dave transitioned post-high school and faked his death for it. People go missing in Undisclosed all the damned time, after all. He moved to the next city over, transitioned fully, then came back as a completely new man. Yes i know this doesnt exactly fit with the “everyone knows David from high school” thing alright, hush.

Anytime anyone brings up John’s old best friend (pre-transition Dave) John throws an entire fit like an overdramatic grieving widow. Full-on sobbing “why would you bring her up?! I miss her so much—” to the point that people just stop bringing up because Jesus Christ That Sure Is Uncomfortable KJHGFDS.

This is a scheme he and Dave came up with prior to Dave leaving, though Dave hadnt exactly anticipated John putting on this much of a performance about it— but it’s stopped Dave from ever having tto hear his deadname again, so hey.

Amy transitioned sometime in middle school/early high school. Her family was super supportive and loved her a ton and most people just know her as Amy. she was super shy her whole life really so. Yeah. people just dont think to bring it up lmao also i Feel Like big jim would absolutely wallop anyone who gave her trouble of any kind

John’s nonbinary (genderfluid specifically) and not exactly Interested in transitioning ? like hes fine with how he is. mostly.

he came out to Dave in high school but hes not out to anyone else exactly. Maybe his bandmates. Probably any other trans person in Undisclosed knows, too, cause theyre safe to tell lmao. Johns mostly a “he/him out of convenience” kinda nb who’s cool with any pronouns but does prefer they/them most. Dave and Amy use they/them when the trio are alone

Also this is a totally self-indulgent caveat that i think would be great, Dave’s actually agender but because he's transmasc and transitioned when he thought there were really only two options, and being Boy at least felt less weird than being Girl, he just kind of assumed he was a dude. It’s only through a lot of (like fucking years and years hes probably in his 30s/40s when he puts 2 and 2 together on this one) talks about gender with John that he realizes he actually feels like No Gender. Masc aesthetic with none gender.

I Just Think It’d Be Neat Is All Okay

Also Amy came out to Dave about being trans early on in them seeing each other and his response was to get very nervous before blurting out “me too” and then just being too embarrassed to talk about it for the rest of the day. Hes got a lot of hangups on talking about it actually it takes years for him to get comfortable in that

by contrast when Amy comes out to John about it his response is to yell “EYYY ME TOO” and give her a big ol hug lmao

I think itd be neatt if Amy ran a like. Transfem help/advice blog on tumblr. Kind of helped-with by John who can give her transfem nb insight for certain asks. I also just think that would be neat.

John

Johns an absolute troublemaker, Of Course. Hes wanted in several towns for absolutely stupid shit. Hes a loner who shows up, causes chaos, gets drunk, does some drugs, runs away if people get too mad at him

He definitely had the same kind of deal with the soy sauce as in canon— he was at some kind of party, somebody offered it, he took it cause why the fuck wouldnt he, now he can see monsters and shit

Hes kind of a mooch also. Like. dont let him stay in your barn man he’ll never fucking leave and drink all your booze.

He runs into Dave when they happen to just, cross paths in the same town. the bullshit John stirs up ends up involving Dave in a way that makes it seem like it's his fault too, and they both get run out of town

after that he just tags along after Dave. hes decided this guy's Cool he wants to stick around. Dave is pissed at first, but not enough to shoot him or anything, and eventually, John grows on him

Dave

Dave also is a loner but unlike John hes simply so fucking awkward and bad with people. He doesnt feel like he belongs anywhere so he just travels

He’s the stereotypical Lone Ranger tbh. He wanders from town to town, solving their problems, though hed deny its out of any moral obligation (it kinda is, a little bit, tbh. He does like feeling useful). He shows up, fixes things, leaves. He's kind of a legend but most people think he's hiding something dark. other people jsut know him as that guy who farted real loud in the middle of the saloon and promptly skipped town out of sheer embarrassment. you know how it goes with Dave

He ends up involved with the Soy Sauce when a snake (not Actually a snake,) bites him. The snake’s more like the wig-monsters, really. Anyway, it injects him with the soy sauce, he fucking trips balls in the middle of the desert, he can see monsters now

He runs into John and shit goes tits-up, as said, but they become traveling buddies after that. he'd never say so, but he's glad for the company, actually. it's nice. hes not used to companionship but he feels a strange kind of easiness hanging out with John....

not sure how the Monster Dave concept will like fit in to this reality but like. trust me i want it in here. I'll Figure It Out.

Amy

Amy’s been living in a town John and Dave end up passing through and she is very curious about these two new Handsome Strangers who claim to fight monsters and just kinda. Persistently tags along til they let her join for real

Her family’s all dead, unfortunately, just like in canon, and she’s been living alone for a few years before meeting John n Dave. she had nothing left in that town to stay for, she'd been fantasizing about escaping on wild adventures for a long time and this felt a little like a dream come true. (Dave still gives her a spiel about how Difficult it is, but really, her fantasies were pretty grounded-in-reality already. i jsut think thats how she is, yknow?)

Shes the first person to react to the whole “we see monsters” shit with a kind of “oh, okay. neat” kind of response lmao

John and Dave fix whatever the fuck is up with her town (maybe that’s where the Korrok shit can fit, who knows) and Amy ends up being integral to that. After, she insists they take her with them because “they need her now” and Dave just cant really say no. John too is very much "the more the merrier!" and hes actually glad to have another person along he loves people lmao

At the start she has long hair but after she joins them she chops it short with a knife for convenience

also she still is an amputee. justt. idk. it was a wagon/stagecoach accident rather than a car accident lmao. just to clarify since i hadnt mentioned it, i wouldnt rob her of her ghost hand or yknow. all of the significance to her character that Missing A Hand has. although also now im going to have to research what was used as painkillers way-back-when, but im betting shes still got, like, her pain pills, they probably had those, maybe i wouldnt have to try too hard there. old timey medicine could be WACK though,

Hes a kid (like 16, 17, technically i think in those days that was more Young Man than Kid but whatever. Hes Young i mean.) who got possessed by the Worms out in the desert and, by his family’s perception, just went missing!

Hes also a wanderer, but he ended up at the same town john and dave met in, at that same time, and starts following them after, already aware of who/what they are.

He keeps his face covered 24/7. actually he covers a Majority of his self for reasons. kinda want him to be a slightly more horrifying Worm Entity rather than human idk,
