I like this theory.
I do think that the creepy walk is an act, probably just to spook us, and maybe scare us off from continuing the game (like c'mon-- there's gotta be at least one person who panic quit at the end of chapter 1 or 2). But I also like the idea that it's also meant to be a form of misdirection. Maybe it's both.
I'm actually very willing to accept the intentional act theory, because one of the big things that bothered me about the ending of chapter two, was that yes, it's implied that Kris slashed the tires of Toriel's car to prevent anyone from leaving. But I've been hesitant to believe that because how in the hell did that sliw, shambling lil shit make it all the way around the house, slash the tires, AND make it back inside before Toriel noticed? It seems like the answer is that they didn't, at least not while walking like that.
I can see them doing the creepy walk specifically to throw us off, like I was. "There's no fucking way they could've done that! Have you SEEN this fucker try to walk around without their soul? They can barely keep themself upright, let alone run!"
That being said, I don't think it's entirely an act. Rather, I feel like it might be more of an exaggeration of the pain and weakness they feel without the soul. I mean, yes, they're clearly still being performative in order to seem much more creepy and weak and zombie-like than they actually are, but I also think that this performance is heavily inspired by the truth.
I mean, op, you mention yourself that Noelle points out weaknesses and shakiness in Kris's voice, and if Kris had recently... expelled us, that'd make sense. If my memory's correct, then every time we've seen Kris remove their soul, we watched their whole body shake, and we specifically hear the sounds of damage being taken. Maybe the teeth gnashing in the chapter two bathroom scene was them being a bit extra, but I think it's still clear that the process of removing their soul places a lot of strain on their body. Maybe they're not exactly weak because they're soulless, but because they just removed it a few minutes ago.
Another thing I want to point out is that yes, I don't think we entirely get to figure out what happens when Kris is without us for too long, but I do know that if you wait around when you first spot them making chocolate milk, they'll slowly slump over and eventually seem to pass out after a few minutes. I didn't see anything beyond the "faint", because that was when I was like, "aight, that's enough, it's gone too far, let me back in," but I was straight up jumpscared by how suddenly they "woke up" and quickly leapt at the soul. I've been wondering for a while how the fuck they realized I was there, and I was writing it off as some sort of magic thing where they could simply just psychically sense it, but that still doesn't explain how sudden that switch was.
And so this theory makes me wonder... what if Kris was pretending to faint. What if that "Kris...... Your soul......." line from Mysterious Phone Voice wasn't concern over Kris's health, but rather them saying, "Head's up Kris, your soul's watching." I mean, it's pretty clear that Mysterious Phone Voice has some level of omniscient-type knowledge (probably through hidden cameras and tapped phones and shit), so it's not far fetched that they knew we escaped the closet and were spying in on Chocolate Milk Time (TM).
And if it's true that they warned Kris about us, and if Kris has been acting weaker in order to mislead us, then yeah, of course they would pretend like their body's failing them. Actually-- I'll go even further and say that it wasn't just to make us think they're weak when they're soulless, but rather that that specific moment was the Mysterious Phone Voice and Kris working together in order to draw us out into the open, just so Kris could catch us and put us back in time out. Because nimble as they are, they likely wouldn't be able to grab us from the vent; we'd get away too quick, and Kris simply just can't fit in there like we can. I think even Mysterious Phone Voice saying, "Kris... without soul.... you'd...." might've been a part of an act.
I also think the fainting thing was an act because at first they could barely say awake long enough to make and drink a glass of chocolate milk, but after we get put back in time out, not only are they perfectly able to make another glass, but they're also able to play the piano for eight minutes, and then, after waiting long enough to get all the secret dialogue for the basement power outage scene, they STILL have enough juice left to fucking snipe us with a puck, and beat the shit out of us with a hockey stick?! Yeah no something ain't adding up. Even if we take out the time it took for me to listen to the entirety of the piano playing, and me staying completely still in the basement for like-- 5-10 minutes, and me staying still for 10 minutes after the two left me alone upstairs (I was secret hunting, and I wasn't about to disobey Susie's orders), it still wouldn't make sense.
Final thing of note, when Kris finally got us back in, they kinda stay down for a few seconds, and they shake a couple times. When we're able to control them again, we can only get them a few steps before they collapse for a second. I don't think that was an act. I think they might've been in a weakened state the entire time they're soulless, and I wonder if the longer they spend one way, the more taxing it is to change it (so the longer they spend without us, the more strain their body goes through when putting us back in, and vice versa).
But yeah, those are my thoughts on this. I do think Kris is naturally in a weakened state without their soul, but less shambling zombie weak, and maybe more like pulling an all nighter without coffee, or 3 days into a fast (speaking of which, that's another explanation for Noelle's weak voice comment, and the momentary collapse after Kris gets us back in. We can't eat light world food for Kris, and tbh, I'd also eat an entire pie in one sitting if I hadn't eaten in a few days, and then an eldritch demon thing made me run around everywhere all day, making me even hungrier. Kid could simply just be malnourished with POTS, and they stood up too fast after getting us back in their body, causing them to actually almost pass out for realsies). Mostly functional, but suboptimal.
...I actually like the "Kris's soul is strong enough to sustain their body, but without it, the symptoms of malnutrition hit them hard and fast, and that's the real reason why they seem weaker when soulless" theory. I doubt that's actually cannon, but I might just headcannon it.
Anygay-- this got off track. Thanks for reading my ramblings. Farewell, until we meet again.
The interesting thing is…. from the glimpses of SOUL-less Kris we saw in Chapter 1 + 2, it was notable how…. strangely they seemed to move. We saw them walking with a sort of zombie-like gait that maybe implied they weren’t in full control of their body still, or maybe just that they were in immense pain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It led to a lot of people speculating that Kris does need a SOUL to some level. Maybe the SOUL is Kris’ but we’re a foreign entity that has taken it over, or that Kris’ original actual SOUL has been removed and replaced with us. If Kris needed the SOUL to live, that would explain their slow, deliberate movements and also why they keep putting us back inside despite clearly hating being under our control.
So now, with Chapter 4 giving us a much better glimpse of SOUL-less Kris doing stuff… it’s notable that they seem… fully capable of moving ‘normally’. Angrily, but normally.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even when they do the whole Creepy Zombie Walk thing they are notably faster than they seemed to be in Chapters 1 + 2
Tumblr media
They can do things that require fine motor skills, focus and swiftness like playing the piano, handling glasses, and beating the shit out of us with a hockey stick and it's all animated as smoothly as most other Deltarune Animations. Not really implying effort or stiffness the way that original Creepy Zombie Walk animation did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while Susie only gets a brief moment to interact with SOUL-less Kris in the Normal Route
Tumblr media
Noelle has prolonged interactions with them in the Weird Route (both on-screen in Chapter 4 and off-screen in-between Chapters 2 and 3) and... while she does note that they sounded 'weak and shaky' and obviously their behavior seems weird on account of the whole 'traumatized by the Unkillable Evil Time-Demon only they can see" thing
Tumblr media
... There's nothing to really indicate that there's anything outright unnatural or 'zombie-like' about the way Kris moves and interacts with her while SOUL-less. Since this is the Weird Route, Noelle even note this is the most natural and Kris-like they've acted in the last few days.... until we take over again.
And now we know they can go without the SOUL for a fairly prolonged period of time. The Ominous Phone Voice of Probably Carol does tells them they need the SOUL, it seems unclear why.
Tumblr media
So… what that means for SOUL-less Kris’ behavior before? It’s possible that even if Kris can operate without a SOUL, it still hurts like hell. So right after tearing out the SOUL they are in Maximum Pain and it's hard to ignore, causing them to move in a struggling and slow manner. But the more they go without it, they kinda get used to it and the pain fades into the background - allowing them to do stuff more-or-less normally.
(Basically Kris has Chronic Pain but the only Painkiller that works for them is Demonic Possession)
…Or, knowing Kris, maybe this… was all an act. They were only behaving like This because they knew we were watching. It is pretty notable that they walk around normally in the Holidays' Kitchen while we're eavesdropping on them and only swap to the Creepy Walk Animation once they notice us....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe this is an act, either to make us underestimate the things Kris could do SOUL-less… or because they’re a little teen Edgelord so they just enjoy playing up the whole Soulless Zombie thing when they have a chance.

The Matchmaker Assassin
Bob Reynolds x reader
Summary: When Bob realizes how lonely he really is Yelena is quick to pick up on it and sets him up quickly with a friend...he won't embarrass himself...right?
Tumblr media
Bob wasn’t sure when the loneliness had crept in. Maybe it had always been there -- buried under guilt and power and the slow, aching process of putting himself back together. For years, he’d been too busy surviving to feel much of anything, and now that he was clean in all body, mind, and soul he actually had time to feel it.
And god, it hurt sometimes.
It hurt to come home to an empty apartment. To eat dinner standing by the sink. To wake up in the middle of the night and have no one beside him but the extra blanket he had on his bed.
He’d tried to ignore it. Tried to pour himself into training, into books and rebuilding and fixing what had been broken. But loneliness was a quiet, persistent thing. It lingered in the corners. It spoke in silence.
He even thought about dating apps once. Spent twenty minutes staring at the “bio” section before deleting it entirely. What the hell was he supposed to say? Hi, I used to be an addict then I became a walking bomb basically and now I fold my laundry instead of it just sitting in the basket for weeks and go to therapy. Wanna grab a coffee? He didn’t think that would really work out very well.
He didn’t want to explain himself to strangers. He wasn’t sure if he was built for small talk anymore.
And of course, Yelena noticed.
“You’re moping,” she said one afternoon, chewing a piece of his leftover pizza without asking. “You get all squinty and broody when you’re touch-starved. It’s pathetic.”
Bob blinked over the rim of his coffee mug. “What the hell kind of diagnosis is that?”
“A correct one,” she replied flatly. “You named your houseplant Maxwell, Bob. I caught you talking to your microwave Tuesday.”
He cringed remembering that conversation, the worse part was that it was a good conversation.“…Okay. I might be a little lonely.”
She grinned like a shark. “Good. I’m setting you up.”
“What? No. No, no. Yelena, I can’t—”
“She’s a friend. A good one too. You’ll like her. You’re going. Tomorrow. Wear a shirt that doesn’t scream ‘man who talks to plants and kitchen appliances.' Do not embarrass me Roberts.”
Bob didn't know anything about you but he was terrified.
You didn’t know much about Bob Reynolds before that night. Yelena told you he was sweet – with “sad golden retriever eyes and the posture of an anxious oak tree.” You thought she was exaggerating. She really wasn’t.
You walked into the little bookstore café near their complex, not expecting much. A favor to a friend is what you expected that’s all. But then you saw him sitting near the back: tall, broad, fidgeting with a napkin like it had personally insulted him. He stood when you approached--actually stood--and smiled like he couldn’t quite believe you were real.
And god, that smile.
“I’m Bob,” he said, offering a hand.
“Yeah,” you said, shaking it. “Yelena told me. She also said you cry during dog movies.”
His ears turned red. “Well I mean only the good ones.”
You teased him the entire first hour, but he gave as good as he could-- in a quiet, dry, completely endearing sort of way. He was nervous, sure, but also funny. Surprisingly sharp. He told stories about accidentally vaporizing vending machines he told you how he once won a free T-shirt by correcting a grammar error on a billboard. You laughed so hard you snorted once -- and he beamed like he’d won the lottery.
The real click happened when he walked you home. Neither of you said much until your porch. You turned to him and asked, “Wanna hold my hand or are you gonna keep pretending you’re not dying to?” He huffed a breath of laughter. “You always that direct?” You shrugged. “You always that obvious?” He smiled. “Only with you, apparently.”
__–__–__–__–__–
Later that night, Bob lay in bed staring at the ceiling, fingers still tingling from where they’d brushed yours.
He grabbed his phone and texted Yelena:
Bob: I think I really like her.
She responded in three seconds flat:
Yelena: I know I do have eyes Bobert you should know by now I am genius. You truly should be worshipping me at this point of our friendship.
Bob just smiled. Because maybe -- after everything -- he could have this. Maybe you were exactly what he hadn’t known he was waiting for.  And maybe Yelena Belova was terrifyingly good at matchmaking.
--_--_--_--_
Your second date was set for the weekend. Bob promised he’d plan everything.
He showed up ten minutes early. Not because he was nervous he absolutely was, nor because he’d changed his shirt twice he absolutely had, but because this time, he wanted to get it right. You weren’t casual. You weren’t forgettable. You were sitting-in-the-back-of-his-mind kind of unforgettable. When you arrived, with your gentle smile and bright eyes, he forgot how to breathe for a second.
“Did you plan all this?” you asked, nodding at the little sidewalk café table already laid out with two drinks and what looked like one of everything from the dessert case.
“I may have panicked and ordered like everything,” he admitted cringing while he rubbed the back of his neck. You laughed. “That’s okay. I like a man with a default in chaotic dessert strategies.”
You spent hours talking. Bob nearly cried laughing at one of your stories. You confessed you liked to eavesdrop in public and make up fake love stories for strangers. He told you he thought he’d never be normal enough to date again -- and you just held his hand across the table, steady and sure.
He walked you home again. This time, your hands brushed on purpose.
“You really are sweet,” you said, voice softer now. “Yelena wasn’t lying.”
“She also said I’d trip over myself, which I have so far managed not to—” Bob tripped on a cracked part of the sidewalk.
You caught his arm. “You were saying?”
He groaned slightly embarrassed, “I’m two for two.”
At your door, the pause came. That charged stillness where neither of you moved — both of you waiting.
“So…” you said, grinning. “Do I get a goodnight hug, or is this the part where you awkwardly salute me and run off?”
“I was leaning toward a dramatic bow,” he offered.
“Even though that sounds amazing to see I think I’ll take a hug.”
He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around you gently; carefully, like you were something precious. You leaned in and didn’t let go until he finally pulled back, eyes flicking to your lips.
Bob hesitated.
Then, with more courage than coordination, he leaned in… and completely misjudged the angle.
Your noses bumped. Your teeth nearly clicked.
“Ow—shit, sorry,” he blurted. You were laughing. “Wow. We are so smooth.”
“Worst kiss attempt in history?”
“Top three. But you’re still cute.” You grabbed the front of his jacket. “Let’s try again. But this time…you tilt left yeah?”
The kiss was better the second time. Still a little too eager, still smiling into each other’s mouths, but warm and real and just… right. And for the first time in years, Bob felt hope in his chest instead of hollowness.
_–_–_–_–_–_
He showed up at complex the next morning looking like he’d been hit by a truck full of sunshine and bad poetry.
Yelena barely glanced up from her coffee. “You kissed her.”
Bob blinked. “How’d you know?!”
“You look like you cried during a Pixar movie and then got laid.”
“Okay look! Everyone cried when we watched Coco…” Yelena raised her eyebrow making Bob sigh and nod, “Yes. I kissed her.”
“And?” she asked, sipping dramatically.
“It was so good,” Bob said, practically glowing. “We bumped noses at first, but then she laughed and actually kissed me and--Yelena, I swear I could feel the planet tilt. She made me feel like I wasn’t some walking disaster. Like I was just… me.”
Yelena rolled her eyes hearing his dreamy sigh. “Disgusting. You’re so in love.”
“I’m not in love!” he insisted. “I mean--I just met her that'd be so soon like scary soon ya know and I don't want to scare her off...but also… maybe?”
She stared him down. “If you mess this up, I will break both your knees.”
“Understandable.”
Then she softened. Just a flicker. “I’m happy for you. Really. You deserve this.”
Bob blinked before getting a teasing smirk on his face. “Wait--was that… are you being nice to me?”
“Shut up,” she snapped, throwing a pen at him. “Go text your little girlfriend before you start writing her poetry in your mission logs.”
He didn’t even deny it. Just grinned and pulled out his phone.
Bob: Last night was perfect. Wanna get dinner tonight?
You: You bumped your nose into mine and still managed to be cute. You’re dangerous, Reynolds.
He melted. Yelena groaned. “God help me. He’s smitten.” And he was.
Because maybe the world was still a mess. Maybe there were still bad days and echoes of old chaos. But now, when he got home, his phone lit up with a text from you. And that quiet ache in his chest?
It didn’t feel so heavy anymore.

Quick question how would huntr/x and the saja boy react towards a fem muscle mommy bodyguard reader as like the saja boys bodyguard or something 👀✨
honestly great question, i think it kinda depends on how fem!bodyguard is as a person
dropping some small loose HCs and thoughts on this - no content warning aside from be ware of completely unformatted thoughts below
if fem!bodyguard is a big softie, i think the girls love you and really suck up to you whenever you're at a shared event and checking in on them to make sure they're okay
probably concerned for your well being because it doesnt seem like you're aware of what the saja boys are but if you are aware of them they're like - wait but you're still working for them? and it's a whole little discussion on how you dont particularly care and want to make sure they still feel protected because imo human fans are scarier than demons could ever be
theres a few times that zoey crashes after an energy high and is just knocked out so the girls have flagged you down to ask if you could help them carry her to their car or to help move her to somewhere comfortable and you do so with the utmost care that when zoey learns about it from the girls she keeps staring at you with big adoring eyes like 'wow..!'
i feel like jinu ends up relying on you a lot more than he realises, the presence of a woman + allowing for emotional vulnerability, you'd unintentionally started to actually mother the saja boys during your time working for them and he knows he can trust you with their safety
highkey i am a believer that mystery always seeks you out so you can run your fingers through his hair, like he just likes to plop his head on your muscular thighs and loves the contrast with how your fingers gently comb through his hair
abby adores you as his gym buddy - he might actually be too excitable over it to the point you have to tell him to take a rest day because it's not healthy to go all the time and he argues and complains about it til your voice gets stern and he tenses up like oh.. oh you're like. serious serious.
it's a pretty common thing to witness in the boys' abode where you're picking baby up and scolding him while keeping him in air jail against his will but he's so just dangling there until you finally put him down after he agrees correct his mistake and then you've placed him back down on his feet and straightened out his clothes with a small apology about being rude
......i feel like a vast majority of people can agree that romance is really into it right- like i'm not crazy here- but he is into it, he likes to admire your figure without you knowing and maybe there's a chance that you've opened up to him about your insecurities at being so big and then he's complimenting you more frequently to make sure you understand he appreciates and sees your beauty when you're occasionally feeling a little out of it
a small thought i have is that when you get stern with the guys about them behaving inappropriately as idols a couple of them start to question their preferences because it's extremely attractive to them and then they're avoiding your gaze for the next week or so bc if they stare at you for too long they get flustered

do you think john and paul were hooking up in the 70s at all? i know so much abt the mclennon 60s timeline but the 70s is a bit foggier to me
Anything's possible, man. I think the whole seventies are generally portrayed and perceived as much more antagonistic than it actually was. I do think the actual fucking was a lot more sparse than the sixties obviously but the mutual obsession and the closeness and friendship and attraction and desire to be and work together was just as present in the seventies as all the bitterness and miscommunicated and competitiveness and jealously and lawsuits and mind games were.
They were together a lot more than is generally acknowledged in the seventies and I bet they were together a lot more than we know about even. And let's be real, if those two couldn't be lovers they'd never be friends. So it's likely that at least some of the time they fucked.
70: 0% chance of fucking. Paul is really hoping he ods up in Scotland and John is screaming his guts out in an institution. They're not speaking. They don't see each other.
71: they technically could've (John doesn't move to NY until August and Paul would've been in London part of the time) but I doubt it. Someone correct me if we have more information but I think they didn't really see much of each other in this year. John did send Paul the tape of their deca audition with a lovey note for Christmas so things weren't all antagonism, but still very rocky. And I believe he invited Paul to play live with him but Paul wouldn't because of Klein.
72: maybe. In January, Linda and Paul flew to NY to visit John and Yoko at their new place. Then John invited them to play live together and even said Klein wouldn't be involved if Paul didn't want. (I don't know how that would've looked legally) But we have no idea whether Paul responded to that telegram, only that he didn't go and that after that he went on the wings tour of Europe. But John was very much not permanently pissed at him because then we get the elephants memory story of John regularly taking 90+minutes out of a recording session for SINYC to chit chat with Paul on the phone. And the thing is. If they're that friendly, the McCartneys probably visiting John and Yoko on their way to Linda's dad's house. Which being rich and being big on family, they probably did more often than is documented.
73: Probably not. January of this year is when John yelled at Yoko during a party that he wished he was back with Paul. This is also the year (might even be the same party idk) that he got mad at her and grabbed some woman and went into a nearby bedroom and fucked her and everyone knew what was going on etc. Late 73 is the start of the lost weekend. But! Even though emotionally they would've been there imo it was physically impossible because Paul wasn't allowed into the US and John wasn't allowed out. I did hear they tried to meet at the Canada border just to see each other in person, so maybe? That would be something they would do, I don't know.
74: Definitely. As soon as he was legally allowed to, Paul was tapping that ass I guarantee. May acts like there's something she's not allowed to disclose about John and Paul during this time and the agreed upon timeline for their meetings does not match their locations so there's something sneaky going on.
75: Definitely. Again, with May Pang. I definitely recommend her book. It's one of my favorite Beatles books. Paul just randomly knows they've moved into a new apartment (again in NY where Paul and Linda visit all the time anyway) knows their number and shows up to hang out with John. John's so stoked for New Orleans. He's popping out songs left and right, he's giddy and goofy. He's talking about getting a house with May. He can't wait to get that bussy.
76: Probably not. John and Paul remained on good terms despite John not showing up to New Orleans and breaking Paul's tender heart. (His excuse is a baby. Like Paul's not going to eat that up. He was born with milk in his tits I swear.) But even though they're buddies, I have a hard time believing they fucked when they met up in 76 with the whole snl story and all that. While I do actually buy that Linda might've supported them hooking up (we can get into that mess later) I don't think Yoko wanted that, at least at this point in their marriage where they're trying to be a nuclear family with Sean and all that. I really doubt, after she's just taken him back and had his baby, that Yoko would've let him be alone with Paul. So unless John went in disguise to a Wings over America concert -- which was decidedly Not his mental state that year -- it's extremely unlikely.
77: Doubt it. I don't know too much about 77 other than that was the year John wrote many of those extremely love-sick and beautiful and depressing ballads and made self recorded journal entries about not wanting to get out of bed unless it was to jump out the window. Paul also took this year "off" so Linda could have James in peace and he could more actively participate in child rearing and housework while she healed from pregnancy and birth. This was probably the start of the "we just talked about bread and cats and babies" phonecalls. Idk maybe there was some sad->sweet phone sex in there somewhere.
78: Bit more likely. Sean was turning two at this point, and as a mom of a two year old I can tell you two is WAY better than one or zero. So, while John of course had nannies and house keepers to help, I'm sure his mental state still improved with Sean's development. Meanwhile, Paul's London Town was a flop numerically and critically, which probably helped things between them to be honest. Also, this is where I think Yoko was starting to get over John and wasn't around much. So any time the McCartneys were in New York to visit Lee, it's possible.
79: Probably. And this is just me being insane, but when Paul tells interviewers he showed his homemade tapes that would become McCartney 2 to "someone" and that "someone" said 'oh this is your new album' and Paul said 'no I was just messing around' and that "someone" said 'No. That's your new album'. And Paul went, 'yeah you're right' and put it out. I mean, that's just obviously John. Nobody talks to Paul like that except John. Nobody else has the balls and Paul wouldn't respect anyone else that way. So this is where -- I think -- the secret Montauk meetings probably started. We also know Paul and Linda visited John and Yoko again at the end of 79 right before they went to Japan. So it could've happened then too.
80: Definitely. See my post about secret late seventies meetings for an explanation here. If you don't know what I'm talking about, message me or comment or whatever and I'll send it your way:)

Why do their teams allow them to openly support the lgbtq community knowing that their fan base..especially Harry's is okay with it..but they can't openly date the same sex? I know you will say I just don't understand closeting..and you are correct as I'm a straight person..but I for one could care less how they identify..I love them no matter what. The straight fans that buy their merch..tickets to shows etc..they see that both of them openly support the community..they don't " un fan" because of this. Could the fallout really be that terrible? I honestly feel like if it's true that they are together which I question presently ..their careers might actually skyrocket... love is love..
It’s not so much that you don’t understand closeting, but I think you’re maybe a little unaware of how awful the homophobia in the world actually is.
I’m not sure if you were here when Harry posted the photos of himself in the ballerina costume on IG a few years ago. The comments were absolutely horrendous. It was truly shocking how vile people were. It happened again with his Vogue shoot. “Bring back manly men” was the most polite version of it.
They may not personally care what people think of them, but that doesn’t mean they want to risk losing huge swaths of potential fans (even if those fans are terrible people).
You might know that love is love. Some of their fans might not care of they came out. But a whole lot of people would. And they came came out together, that’s a whole other can of worms. There are so many people in Harry’s fandom who hate Louis. And so many people in Louis’ fandom who hate Harry.
We don’t know if H wants to try acting again. If he does, coming out now could seriously derail any opportunities he might have. Would Louis have more acceptance in the indie music scene if he came out? Or less? It’s already hard enough. Would they feel safe traveling everywhere they travel now (for work or for pleasure)? Would they want to invite the scrutiny into their personal lives that coming out would bring?
Showing support to the community is a hell of a lot different to openly saying you’re a part of the community. I don’t think either is ashamed of their sexuality, but that doesn’t mean they want to invite the world into their private lives.
I think people who push the idea that they “should just come out” really aren’t thinking about things from Harry and Louis’ perspectives.
I hope one day they want to be seen together, even if they don’t want to publicly discuss it or put a label on it. But I don’t see that happening until they’re further along in their careers (or have a family).

As a society, can we please please please stop throwing around the word Nazi. Please.
It seems like in this day and age, no one can have actual nuanced debates, especially in regards to politics, so everyone just devolves into petty insults, and what's the worst thing most people think of? Nazi. It's become the default insult, and I am so fucking tired.
First of all — neo-Nazi. I know that it's pedantic of me, but neo-Nazi or Nazi sympathiser would be the correct term, not Nazi. Second of all, the Nazis did not invent homophobia, or racism, or genocide, or war. Crediting them for all of those things gives them too much power, and contributes to actual neo-Nazis becoming attracted to the ideology, as it makes the NSDAP seem impressive to some. It also erases other historical events. The allies commit war crimes too. The Red Army raped an estimate of 2,000,000 women and children in Germany alone by the end of WWII, not to mention other countries. And not only was the 20th century soaked in blood, but so were the centuries before it.
As a species, humans can be pretty fucking violent. It's always been that way. We should be able to acknowledge this, and have discussions, and the ability to work together to help reduce the chances of such events repeating themselves. Calling people Nazis does not have this effect. What it does, is it contributes to the spread of misinformation surrounding 20th century history, and history in general, as well as making light of horrific events. Nazism is a shortening of National Socialism, a very specific political ideology. Not a synonym for "someone I don't agree with".
At least if you're going to insult someone, insult them for what they are. Don't go reaching, it'll only weaken your argument and make you look like an uneducated dickhead.
Tumblr media
This pamphlet is a piece of propaganda by Goebbels, and might interest anyone wanting to find out what originally drew the public to Nazism in the 1930s, and give them a better understanding of certain aspects of Nazi ideology. I believe it can be found on Internet Archive, although I'm not sure about the original 1931 German version.

I had a professor, in high school. He was licensed to teach history, Italian literature, and grammar, but what he loved teaching the most was Latin (grammar and literature). For all the marvellous five years that I had the pleasure to have him as my teacher, he would always drill into our heads that Latin is considered a dead language for a reason: because it can't be spoken. We don't know how it was spoken as the written version was not how it was spoken, does it make sense? Think it as in terms of: there was a Latin for writing and one for speaking (this is a broad and "incorrect" way of putting it, it's just to get my point across). So, to me, it always made sense that they didn't "speak" Latin.
Now your question would, rightfully, be: wouldn't that work likewise for ancient Greek? Now, I'm not gonna pretend to know the 100% correct answer as I'm not a professional, but if I had to have a guess based on five years of relentlessly studying Ancient Greek, again in grammar and literature, I would say that the written version might be a lot more similar to the spoken version compared to Latin, as most of the oldest text that we have are recited verses that were eventually put down on paper; even the Illiad and Odyssey were originally just spoken, recited and sang by aoidos (kind of like ancient greece's bards) and that is even the very reason why we're not sure Homer was the actual author of the Illiad and Odyssey or that he even existed!!
one thing I don't understand is why senate meetings in CJ were held in english and not latin? if it were chb then I would use the "well new campers need to understand the meetings too!" excuse but we're talking about the camp that isn't considerate or kind to new members + have the "we need to preserve our culture above everything else" mindset

🌕 Light Yagami – “Perfect Partner” on the Surface
Realistic Relationship Headcanons:
• He’s charming at first. Light would absolutely play the part of the ideal boyfriend—polite, attentive, and intelligent. He knows how to impress and manipulate.
• You’re his reflection. He’d want a partner that enhances his image—graceful, composed, ambitious. Your accomplishments would reflect on him, and he’d quietly push you toward self-improvement… even if it’s really for his own ego.
• Controlling tendencies. Light wouldn’t seem controlling at first, but he’d subtly influence your choices—what you wear, how you speak, even your opinions.
• Love is secondary to his mission. If he’s already Kira, the relationship becomes a performance. He might genuinely like you, but you’re still a pawn if you stand in the way or become inconvenient.
• He does not tolerate disobedience. If you challenge his ideals or morality (especially as Kira), he won’t hesitate to gaslight or rationalize extreme actions.
• You’re safe if you stay useful or blindly loyal. He’s not incapable of affection, but it’s conditional. True emotional intimacy is rare unless you’re completely aligned with his goals.
🕵️‍♂️ L Lawliet – The Obsessive Analyst
Realistic Relationship Headcanons:
• Very awkward at first. L has zero normal romantic skills. Expect brutally honest remarks, odd behavior, and intense staring as he “analyzes” you.
• He tests you constantly. L wouldn’t trust easily. The relationship would start like an investigation—he’s trying to figure out if you’re genuine, dangerous, or just a distraction.
• Clingy but in denial. Once he lets you in, he actually becomes emotionally dependent on your presence. He won’t admit it, but you’ll notice how often he wants you near, even if it’s just silently sitting while he works.
• Affection is subtle. Handing you sweets, letting you interrupt his thought process, making room on the couch—these are love letters in L-speak.
• Deep loyalty, once earned. If he decides you’re worth it, he’s fiercely loyal, even if he doesn’t understand traditional romance. He won’t say “I love you” often, but he’ll protect you with terrifying focus.
• Your patience is key. You’ll need to adapt to his work-obsessed, nocturnal lifestyle and accept that you’re dating a genius with zero social filters.
🍫 Mello (Mihael Keehl) – Explosive But Passionate
Realistic Relationship Headcanons:
• Rollercoaster energy. Mello is intense, emotional, and unpredictable. The relationship will have high highs and chaotic lows.
• Quick to anger, quick to love. He might yell during a fight, but five minutes later, he’s holding your face like he’s scared to lose you.
• Jealousy is real. Mello doesn’t like competition or feeling second-best—not to Near, not to anyone. He can be possessive and reactive if he thinks someone’s after you.
• He needs reassurance. Behind the bravado is a boy who was never told he was enough. He clings to partners who make him feel like he’s chosen and wanted.
• Protective AF. He’ll start fights in your name, burn bridges for you, and threaten anyone who hurts you. He’s your ride-or-die—sometimes a little too literally.
• Physical touch is his love language. Kisses, cuddles, sitting on his lap while he works—he lives for it. He acts like he’s too cool for it, but melts every time.
• You ground him. If you’re calm, empathetic, and not easily intimidated, you help him stabilize emotionally and channel his ambition into something less destructive.
⚖️ Teru Mikami – Devoted to Perfection
Realistic Relationship Headcanons:
• Structured and predictable. Mikami thrives on routines, schedules, and discipline. He’d build you into his weekly calendar—dates on Fridays, phone calls at 9 PM sharp.
• He’s intense about justice. If your morals don’t align with his black-and-white worldview, he’ll either try to “correct” you or lose interest. He respects purity, self-control, and strength.
• You must be “worthy.” Mikami doesn’t fall for people easily. He admires excellence, so he’d be drawn to someone competent, strong-willed, or devout in their own right.
• Extremely loyal. Once he’s in, he’s in for life. He treats love like a duty—devoted, organized, and unwavering. But if he thinks you’re “corrupted” or unfaithful, he might emotionally shut off or spiral.
• Not great with emotional vulnerability. He’s guarded and internalizes everything. If he feels unworthy of you, he might push you away “for your own good.”
• Relationship feels like a sacred bond. It’s less playful, more serious. He’d pray for you, defend your honor, and write your name in a journal (hopefully not that one).

Hi, this is "Hansry are both overachievers in different fonts" anon. I wanted to drop my thoughts on whether Henry "should" be made a noble or not.
To me, beside what was mentionned earlier I see two main things that would make Henry reluctant to agree to that role: 1. It would seperate him from Hans.
Their romance isn't the easiest with their role in medieval Bohemia but imo it's the BEST they could get. By working more or less directly under Hans (technically he's under Radzig's orders) his presence at his side is JUSTIFIED and possible. He's in the best spot to spend time with Hans without drawing too much suspicions
Becoming a noble would draw him away from Hans because he'd have his own duties to attend to, and when Radzig inevitably dies the schism might even grow bigger because Henry will have to take after his father's domain. (If we follow history; a fort in Prague and a castle in Veselé)
2. I don't think Henry would like to become a noble?
To me, KCD1 (and 2) had an underlying story of Henry carving out a space for himself AFTER the disaster of Skalitz. It's a story about learning who you are and can become after you've lost everything. After having finally avenged his parents, he can finally breathe and actually decide what HE wants.
He knows how to behave with nobles... as a commoner. I feel him being raised to a noble would make him feel out of place. When end of KCD2 Henry probably want everything BUT feel out of place once again. Not even mentionning how noble society might treat him as a legitimized bastard.
(Just in case, this isn't a dig at anyone's idea. We're all playing with ideas we like and shouldn't ruin each other's fun. I just wanted to share my ideas on the matter haha)
I agree!! And don't worry, I think (hope) I've cultivated the sort of environment on my blog where healthy and respectful discussion can happen, even if we disagree on something. The things we're talking about here are always based on interpretation and conjecture. I take issue only when people declare that their view of something is entirely correct and/or the morally correct stance to hold!
Anyway, back to your points. I somewhat touched on the first point earlier today (here and here) and the second on a few occasions but especially here. I don't think Henry would want to become a noble, but I think he'd do it if it was asked of him. But it wouldn't be the happiest outcome for him, I don't think. And in terms of suspicion/proximity, being a bodyguard is definitely the safest place for him to be without anyone questioning their relationship. It's if he's expected to run his own castle or estate that things get a lot trickier. And he'd be expected to take a wife and produce heirs himself in that instance too.
I do love your ideas on how KCD1 and 2 are about the building of identity for Henry, the ways in which his character was shaped by the tragedy and how he makes sense of that within the paradigm of his worldview after. That's a really lovely way of putting it, and I think we can take that a step further and suggest that Hans is a large part of that, of learning to let himself be happy again as well. We all know that the trip to the Rattay baths was something Hans wanted to do to unwind a bit, but that's exactly the sort of thing that Henry wouldn't usually allow himself, an all day/night diversion full of merriment and drinking. Of course he still had to do tasks there, but I think the intent behind it for Hans was as much about Henry was it was about himself. Henry works too hard, so let's help him let his hair down. You know?

Let's go with a classic:
How would the ROs react if, in the middle of an argument, the MC kissed them just to shut them up? Not a super serious discussion, just a silly discussion that the MC wants to win the argument using the kiss lmao
Lol! Okay! Obviously they are arguing over which tastes better: yellow apples or green apples. We all know yellow is the correct answer. 😉
Jem's spine goes ramrod straight as soon as your lips touch his. Once you let him go, he immediately surveys your surroundings to see who all noticed you guys being intimate in public, so he can gauge how embarrassed he should be, before turning back to you and saying, "Can you warn me next time? What if Vana saw? She wouldn't let us alone for the rest of the day!"
Raena would catch onto your antics before you could complete the kiss. Her face squished between your hands as you lean in, she'd lean back, laughing and protesting, "You cwan't siwence me wif fwat! Lemme gwoohh!!!" Then once she breaks free, she'd get revenge by swooping in to initiate the kiss herself. "Gotcha."
Vana would go still for the duration of the kiss, her dark eyes seeming to dance in amusement as she stares into your face. "I still believe green apples are superior for their culinary application, even if they might be a bit sour when eaten raw."
You throw your hands up. "You can't even cook!"
That would make her laugh and drop the subject, her fingers subtly moving to touch her lips when she thinks you're not looking.
Linzel would accept your kiss without fuss. Once you pull away, he'd slyly say, "Trying to shut me up, hmm? Well, I suppose it worked. But if you want me to remain silent, I suggest giving me more of those to keep me occupied..." Then, he'd pull you in close again, pressing his mouth against yours.
Maymie's hands fly to your shoulders, as if she's about to push you away, but she doesn't. When you finally pull away from the kiss, she's glaring at you, a little pout on her lips. She wants so badly to be mad at you for pulling that off, but really she's pleased as punch. "You just wait," she threatens you teasingly, "I'll get you back, so you better sleep with one eye open."
She forgets to get even, and you wait in anxiety for three nights in a row before you realize she's not actually getting you back... unless she's playing the long game???
Aslo hums deeply as you kiss him, his hands falling to your waist. When you pull away, he tries to chase your lips for a second before he stops, his brows dipping in confusion. "What was that kiss for?" he asks.
"Oh, no reason."
He gives you a doubtful look before shrugging. "Alright. Then uh... I don't remember what we were talking about."
Mission accomplished.
Sweets kisses you back softly, their eyes crinkled with amusement. "I have a feeling you want me to drop the topic," they say, laughing. "Life's too short for such a silly quarrel, so, you win. How about we find something better to do?"
"Like what?"
Their gaze turns smoldering. "I'm sure we can find something to do, no?" They touch your lips. "Maybe make more use of these..."

(The most impressive thing here isn't that Rouge and Shadow didn't know they shared a birthday it's that Amy Did)
Last week I saw a lot of those "Happy Birthday Shadow" posts but didn't see any for Rouge despite the fact that based on character debut dates they actually have the same exact birthday, a fact I personally find extremely funny especially given how unlikely I think either of them is to ever notice it

A crazy thing about Mouthwashing is that Pony Express lost communication with one of its freighters for months and didn’t send anyone to check.
A genuinely reputable company, or at the very least a decent one, would have sent someone, something out to check after about two weeks of silence. Two months is when the crew start questioning if they are even being looked for which implies they were already expecting it to take a while cause P.E just doesn’t care.
They don’t care about who they hire. They don’t care about the conditions they place their crew in or how safe the safety measures actually are. They just don’t care, made rules and regulations so they can care less and succeed in getting away with it with how little those ideas are discussed.
#back on remembering how little blame we give P.E very the real organizational problems that led to the interpersonal ones#there’s many facets to talk about MW in but it’s that people really down play the working class factor and that everyone on the ship are no#too far off from each other and you have to incorporate that into how things play out like the false prestige of being captain and curly#exudes creates this inflated idea he had unlimited capabilities to do much more when it’s clear he is ruled by the same restrictions just a#a slightly different angle same way Swansea as the mechanic can’t fix a vent not because it’s likely difficult but because he just lacks th#rescources and constant clearances needed so it’s a stagnant task#same way even when Anya gets to do nurse stuff it’s limited by what she is given#it’s all reflective about what they have to work with not being enough not even being barely enough#both on an aspect of actual tangible problems and subjective issues#something something boss makes a dollar the crew makes a dime curly makes a quarter and they all still struggle to stay above water#idk it’s very important and interesting and more tragic to me that they were all in the same bubble but their perceptions of each other and#priorities made them walk each other off and feel levels of resentment that should have been towards P.E like how Curly mainly resents them#but the others clearly take it to a more personal level like he got fired with them#is at the same point of starting over with nothing cause all his experience is worthless in a dying job field and all he got was papers tha#say he’s great at a role no one wants except for the one guy that forced him to exit#all of it for nothing all those years for nothing and he didn’t get to choose#I think it’s interesting that people assume curly got what he wanted when he wanted a choice in his future to continue as is or change just#because they feed so heavily into the birthday argument where a projecting Jimmy says Curly got what he wanted when curly corrects him ther#saying what he wanted was a life he didn’t have to escape from being forced out of something isn’t escape if you have no where to go or#everyone got to kinda make a choice whether we consider Jimmy crashing the ship or Anya telling Jimmy and later killing herself#curly being trapped feels so minimal cause it’s hard to recognize how he’s caged in by being the in between of the head and the crew he can#move freely through either as he has the power of boss to them and subordinate to the other he has to do what the company says to an extent#and hopefully mitigate anything the crew might do and the ‘perks’ of being captain are just different leashes he’s on with the crew and P.E#it’s like so hard to understand when you aren’t used to working in these type environments or have been in similar organizational power#structures but the crew being on the same sort of economic scale and class is so important to why and how they act the way they do#mouthwashing#mouthwashing game#pony express#curly mouthwashing#captain curly

(In this case, it's more that Morwen doesn't think in terms of soft power like that. She's more accustomed to thinking in terms of military and economic force than in, say, using a religious institution or the withdrawal of its services to control people. She also hasn't made threats yet because she knows she can't follow through on them, and also knows that empty threats are one of the fastest ways to lose credibility. You're correct that she would rather befriend than threaten, though.) This is true. But I think that codifying that principle might be a good additional negotiating tool. "Work with me and you get to keep your Guild structure and internal affairs intact; work against me and I'll bring you to heel or break you outright" is...not the least effective way to handle the situation she's in. It provides both pressure and an easy way out from the pressure that gives both parties something they want. Obviously betrayal is a possibility, but betrayal was always going to be a possibility. Ah, right, some of the guilds she'll want are on the opposite side of the current alliance from most of her friends. And some of the enemies are currently on "her" side too, unless I'm mistaken. That will be interesting. Ha! They're not really boys, but it sounds like they're no less ridiculous than the rest of Morwen's actual boys. Perhaps Morwen can threaten to blow something up so as to bring A.T. around to the middle ground that is Furniture Man's position. XD
Log Horizon has firmly established my opinion that Terrafell needs steam engines. Just so you know. 😉 I also feel vindicated in my choice of first invention to bring over from the real world.
I mean, it might have established/vindicated that, but you'll have a hard time making one!

don't talk to me if you majorly dislike any of the bau for seeing will as nothing more than a case consult. will intentionally and purposefully makes himself unavailable to others to the point that their only way of connecting with him half the time is over a case. i guarantee you they have tried time and time again to invite him to things, start conversation, and he hits them with "we're at work." katz, zeller, and price foster a very lighthearted, inviting workspace that you see him both emotionally and literally PHYSICALLY distance himself from. i'm sure there's plenty of things they could've done, more of something. people see what they want to in will, pieces of him. a tool, an advisor, something to pity, something to understand. a dog who is trained to hunt, yet fitted with a muzzle. but will is what stands in his own way of human connection, every time. too afraid of what rests beneath his surface
#i just think its a very complex thing his relationships#but i dont think any of the bau are bad people. nor is will entirely a victim of anyone in his life#. except maybe jack#but will's need to be good is a self fulfilling torture cycle#his guilt motivates him. it consoles him. it torments him#jack isnt too concerned with why. but knows will cant say no. and he uses that against him#he also is one of the only people who is close enough to almost see him#hes complicated. theyre complicated#but will is aware of his own choices and always makes them#will LETS people see him for his use. for his bits and pieces. the parts of him that work for them. lets them discard the ones that dont#because its safer. its better for everyone. if someone gets too much of him they might start to put it together. see what he is#and ALSO. WILL USES PEOPLE TOO. very often does he interact with people based on their benefit to him#attracted to alana because he wants a sense of control. molly for her grief her comforting normalcy#his low empathy and lack of social connections... his AUTISM. he's very absorbed in his own life and struggles#we dont really see him make space for anything else#and i dont think he wants to for a longtime. until. until (gay man manifests in the room) hes right behind me isnt he#honestly correct me if im wrong because ive seen it ONCE and i cannot remember their interactions as well as i should#just. hannibal side characters get behind me. when you look at the things hannigram gets up to and think about their place in it holyyy shi#like leave them alone they already have to live with those gay men#hannibal#will graham#bau team#hannibal meta#also this isnt like. actually that serious igdaf if you have a different opinion than me. media is interpretable#and your experience with it will be individual and different than mine because we are different people#go forth my fannibal. have your own opinions and likes#i just dont like when people victimize will more than is necessary. that man is . hes something okay#charlieog#also i really like to think of them all as friends but tbh will does NOT fuck with their vibe half the time hes so rude#hes like ugh. everyone is so boring. i am going to go flirt with my psychiatrist who i think is gaslighting me

Came home to find all my things in the cabinet under then bathroom sink in a box in tripping distance in my room.
Love when my family treats me like I should be a transient stranger rather than a participant in the house when I’m set to put how many hours of work in for a celebration of my birthday I’m expected to provide for.
