I think some of you don't understand that Oscar is not being criticized for racing, people are concerned that Oscar kind of fucked up the possibility of a 1-2 quite early in the race 😭 Lando said that if he braked one meter later they both couldve been out in that corner. It's easy to say "it's not Oscar's fault that Lando can't race his teammate", when he has more to lose with a dnf, and Oscar is taking advantage of the team's decision to let them fight without orders, he's always going to risk more because he knows that Lando is forced to hold back.

I'm not going to blame Oscar for wanting to win at any cost or for not caring about 1-2 today, in the end this is the team's responsibility, they are the ones who don't want to back Lando, it's normal that Oscar doesn't care.

no ur absolutely right - not to expose myself bc i think i mightve jinxed him but i rmbr in qatar secretly hoping he wont win the sprint before he wins a real race bc i knew i was never gonna hear the end of ppl arguing abt whether that counts as a first win or not, and i think that possibility is rearing its head again. and i think rn hes annoyed bc hes just done one of the quali performances of his life for like a weird quasi-official thing that can only rly give him 8 points at best. if real quali was on friday like it used to be on sprint weekends this performance wouldve put him on real pole. so i rly understand him being ambivalent bc i think id feel the same. this is a bit better than 2022 where real quali didnt count for squat (see: kevin in brazil) but its still a weird thing that the drivers still dont rly like even when they do well. sometimes BECAUSE they do well
