#russell crowe#gladiator#russellcroweedit#croweedit#gilles gifs#i listened to this multiple times but he really says “me sword”#he also does a little sword gesture but there is french hardcoded subtitles so i cropped it as much as i could#i think it is so amusing how humble he is about his role in gladiator#because (1 it won him an oscar and (2 a LOT of the traits maximus has are mannerisms from him#and some essential things to the story are russells idea#it only had 21 pages of script so there was A Lot on the table and up for a change when they were shooting#it literally would have been a completely different movie without russell#not necessarily bad but just??? maybe it would have flopped you never know
