How the 141 boys got their favorite picture of you + where they keep it when theyâre away on missions.
Wc: 1.9k
Simon âGhostâ Riley-
You had been taking pictures all day on your date. Blown through at least 100 pieces of film. After all, the zoo was quite the place.
Decidedly, your favorite place had been the reptile house. You stayed in there longer than any other exhibit. While you were watching the reptiles, Simon was watching you. The way your face lit up when you found a hidden snake or learned a new fact about them. The way youâd laugh at all the stupid jokes the staff put up around the exhibits. He stared at you like he was trying to memorize every detail of the day.
Before you left, he bought you a snake plushie. It was long enough to wrap around you, very soft, and a little weighted.
When you got back home, Simon decided to stay for a bit. He sat in your computer chair and talked to you. You sat on your bed, your head hanging off the side, just flipping through the pictures you had taken, admiring your trophies. The snake plush lay behind your neck and off your shoulders.
After thinking back on the day and how much he wanted to remember it, Simon had gotten an idea. âGimme thaâ cameraâ
You sat up, moving so aggressively the plush almost fell off your shoulders. You put it back. âWhy? What's wrong?â You handed him the camera off the bed. He took it and looked at it, trying to figure out how it worked. Once he was confident he knew, he turned it on you.
âGo on, lovie.â you look at him âWhat do you want me to do, Si?â you sit criss-cross on your bed
âPose for meâ he mutters. You tilt your head, scrunch up your nose a bit and giggle. It's the most beautiful sound he's ever heard, no matter how many times he's heard it.
Flash.
You raise your eyebrows as he takes the picture and begins shaking it. After a moment he looks at it, pausing before⊠âThatâs the one.â
âThat's the picture?â You raise your eyebrows, âI didn't even get to poseâ you whine. You try to take the picture from him, but he won't let you get it. He holds it above your head and shakes it more, hoping to make it finish developing faster. When it does he looks at it.
âNah, âm gonna keep it. âS whaâ I want to remember.â after he chuckles, and itâs deep and rumbly.
Simon keeps the picture in the right side of his vest, always keeping you close to his heart. Itâs the first thing he looks at when he wakes up, and the last he looks at before he goes to sleep.
Captain John Price-
John was always excited to come home to his wife after a particularly taxing mission. You were in bed, cuddling and talking about whatever was on your minds when you both heard a crash. John was instantly on edge, ready to investigate.
He signals for you to stay in bed and be quiet while he looks.
When he gets back, heâs less stressed and more sad. â âm sorryâŠâ he holds up your broken Polaroid, the same one he'd gotten you for your birthday a year ago.
âNoâŠâ you whine, more than a little upset. You look from the device to him. âI'm sorry John.â
He sighs deeply and looks back at you, putting the camera on the desk before crawling back into bed, and pulling you against him. âI have the day off tomorrowâŠmaybe we could get another one?â
In the morning, you guys go shopping at the mall. The first place you go is the shop John had gotten your camera from last year. After getting it, you immediately open it and load it with film.
The camera and film were the only things you had gotten before going home.
âThis is exactly like my last one,â you say, sitting on the couch, playing with the camera. John sits next to you settling into the comfort of your presence. âYeah? Is that alright?â you pull the camera away from your face, looking at him. âMore than alright. It's perfect.â you say before backing up a little bit before snapping a picture.
âWh-what was that for, darling?â he asks, still blinking from the flash
âJust to haveâŠâ you say, shaking the picture. You put the camera on the couch between the two of you before looking at the picture. While you were distracted he picked up the camera and turned it around on you.
âHey-â he calls out, trying to get your attention
You look at him.
Flash.
You blink away the spots in your vision before finally seeing him again.
âAnd what was that for?â you ask. There's no accusatory tone, only curiosity.
âJust something to haveâŠfor when I'm away from home.â He looks at the picture before handing it. âIf you don't like it I can take another, butâŠ.â you take the picture and look at it. It wasn't that bad. You hand him the photo back. âIf it's the one you want, who am I to deny you?â
You pause and smirk a little âMaybe I'll let you take another to keep you better company onâŠlonelier nights.â
âThaâ right?â he asks, already dragging you to the bedroom.
He keeps it on the inside of his hat. When he first got the picture soap annoyed him for looking at it so often.
Johnny âSoapâ Mactavish-
You first came to the base to help the 141 with paperwork and clerical tasks, soon you became a very valuable member of the team, and a friend to most on it. Johnny especially had taken great strides in ensuring you felt as welcome as possible. This would include sitting with you in the cafeteria, sitting in your office during the long nights, or just talking when you needed a distraction.
Soon, daily walks became a habit. He would meet you at your office on your lunch break, and the two of you would just walk and talk. It was during one of these walks that you got the text Price needed you to look over something in his office. Johnny decided to walk with you there.
The two of you made haste, but you stopped before a seemingly impossible choice, either you take the elevator, or the stairs.
âYou want to risk the elevator today?â You look at him, truly leaving the decision up to him. You were in heels that made going upstairs hurt, but the elevator was super sketchy with a tendency to break downâŠit also had some really weird stains.
He thinks for a moment. âAye, letâs dae thatâ you hesitate, glancing between him and the rickety elevator. He tilts his head a little âShould be fine, eh?â
âApparently they just fixed itâŠso maybe?â you look at him, then to the stairs. âIâm following you, Johnny.â you say to the Scott. He nods at you, a smile flashing across his face.
He gets on with far too much confidence, almost a scary amount. You follow him, being sure to avoid those stains that definitely look like blood, but Johnny swears aren't.
When you get in and the doors shut, Johnny, ever the prankster, decides to mess with you. He looks you in the eye. âHey, lass.â You look at him. He has a mischievous smile. âJohnny, I donât know what youâre planning, but no.â
âDonâ worry, Bonnie, weâre fine.â He smirks
Famous last words.
He jumps in the elevator, as soon as it starts moving. If it were anyone else, it probably wouldâve been fine, but his 200 pounds of muscle might have been a little too much for the poor elevator.
Thereâs a loud SNAP and the elevator jerks up. You stumble, but Johnny catches you.
I pull back quickly when you realize how youâre looking up at Johnny right now.
You make a terrifying realization. The elevator is not moving anymore...
You two were stuck on the elevator for 4 hours. Of course, it was during this incredibly opportune time that he decided to ask you out.
When Price texted Johnny, asking if he had seen you, Johnny took a selfie with you and sent it to him explaining that the two of you were stuck in the elevator.
Three months later, you're his girlfriend. And that selfie? Itâs a keychain thatâs attached to Johnnyâs belt loop. Easier to look at his Bonnie lass that way.
And the elevator? Itâs been closed since.
Kyle âGazâ Garrick
This dinner had been planned months in advance. It was one of the nicest restaurants in London and he would sooner cut off his hand than forfeit the reservation.
It was your anniversary, and he would be deployedâŠor so you thought. Turns out, the mission ended early, at least that's what he would later tell you, and he was already on his way home to you.
You were sitting on the couch, watching TV when there was a jingle of keys at the front door. You were immediately on alert, no one has keys to this place other than you and Kyle, and Kyle was supposed to be goneâŠright?
You watch as the door opens, the fear immediately dissipating when you see that familiar hat accompanied by the smile that made you swoon. Instead, your fear is replaced with an overwhelming joy. As fast as he gets the door open youre barreling towards him. He catches you into a crushing hug, laughing into your hair and giving you kisses on the crown of your head, muttering about how he missed you too.
He checks the time, cursing under his breath. âYou need to get ready, love.â
You look at him for a few seconds before you remember what the day is.
âKyle, youâre probably tiredâŠI don't want to-â Kyle cuts you off.
âI slept on the plane. We're going.â he says with an air of finality.
You try to argue more, but he's ignoring you and shoving you towards the shower.
When you finally get to the restaurant, you realize how much planning Kyle had put into this. He has specifically reserved the table you had ranted about to him on one of your first dates. He also made sure they had your favorite wine, which was put down as soon as you sat at the table.
When you look at him, it's nothing but stars in your eyes, and that to him makes everything worth it. Everything he had to do to get home, to get to you. (even if that does mean he owes Soap a favor now.)
As the night continues, you notice his usually calm demeanor change to one a little more on edge. You've never seen him this nervous, not since he first asked you out anyways.
Finally, after a couple of hours, the desert gets brought out.
Written on the plate, in curly, chocolate writing was a single question that would forever change your life.
Will you marry me?
You look at Kyle, he's holding a ring box, looking especially scared, his eyes only daring to meet yours when you place your hand on his.
When you nod with tears in your eyes he stands up, hoists you to your feet, and brings you in for a kiss.
Little did you know, right then, there was a picture taken by the restaurant staff. The picture would quickly become his favorite. He printed it before his next deployment to keep with him.
He keeps it right under the Union Jack velcroed onto his vest to remind him of what he's fighting to return to.
(Just a little Drabble while I work on my larger projects- got some bangers coming out in February if I do say so myself- Hope you enjoy!)

đŒ âčᥣđ©ââ âââ rafe thinks academic!reader wants a baby
â âRafe was absolutely certain that you were trying to subtly hint at wanting to have a baby with him. At the first comment, he assumed you were ovulating because you always did get a little bit of baby fever when you were, but then, you just kept showering him with random facts about the development of infants and toddlers to the point that he started to believe you were dropping hints.
Rafe wasn't someone who liked to play games. He preferred to be told things straight up, no beating around the bush, but being with you, he'd noticed that you had a habit of trying to subtly slide what you wanted into conversation, so you didn't have to directly ask. Almost like you were trying to make him think it was his idea, not yoursâapparently, those psychology classes were really paying off.
It had gotten to the point where he had confided in Topper and Kelce, asking them if that's how it sounded to themâbad idea, Topper and Kelce are the last people to go to for relationship adviceâto which they both agreed that it definitely sounded as though you were trying to suggest Rafe should get you pregnant.
The idea was completely out of the blue. You both were still so young, and you were still in school trying to get your degree in psychology. You two had only been dating for a couple of months and had never discussed marriage or engagement because it all felt so new to both of you. After all, Rafe was still reforming from his playboy ways and party lifestyle, and you hadn't been in many relationships prior to being with him.
He had originally decided to try his best to ignore your little comments, hoping you would eventually drop the subject altogether. Rafe had never really thought about kids, and he definitely didn't think he was dad material, his fear of turning out like his own father overshadowing the desire deep down to have a childâone he often pushed aside and tried to ignore.
But, you hadn't given up. If anything, it seemed like your mentions of children became more and more frequentâwhether that was true or he just believed it was because he was hard-core stressing about it remained unclear. Eventually, Rafe decided he had to address it and make sure you knew that he wasn't planning on having kids with you antime soon, even if it seemed a little harsh to say considering how enthusiastic you seemed.
"Did you know after about a year, the pace at which children learn words accelerates rapidly, and by eighteen months, the average child is learning a new word every day?" You tore your gaze away from your phone screen to look over at him, a bright, proud smile on your face. You were sat in the passenger seat of his truck after he picked you up from your classes, intending to bring you back to Tannyhill, so you two could hang out.
"Okay, you've really gotta cut that shit out," Rafe said, a lot harsher than he intended to. He had already had a bad day, and he just wanted to relax with his girlfriend, not try to decode you and your baby talk. He was tired of dancing around the issue, and his stress only brought that out, making him snap at you.
Your brows furrowed, smile faltering at his words. He had never spoken to you like that before, and you couldn't for the life of you figure out why a little fact of all things had elicited such a reaction. He usually loved hearing all about your little facts, constantly telling you how sexy your intellect was to him. "What?" You simply asked, too hurt and confused to vocalize why his outburst seemed so completely out of the blue.
"Listen I," he took a deep breath, his grip on the steering wheel tightening for a moment before he relaxed again. "I don't want to have a baby with you," he said bluntly. Noticing how cruel that may have sounded, he decided to add an: "Atleast... not right now, alright?"
Your face was a mask of pure confusion. You weren't so much hurt anymore as utterly lost. Where did the topic of you two having children come from? "Rafe, what are you talking about?" You asked, not understanding where he could have possibly got the idea that you wanted to have a baby with him.
He glanced over at you, his own features morphing into an expression that mirrored yours. "All the baby facts and shit. I thought," he paused, wondering if he had read the situation all wrong, but that didn't make sense. It had been pretty fucking apparent to him, Topper, and Kelce that you were dropping baby hints. "I thought you were... yknow trying to tell me something."
You processed the new information for a moment before bursting into laughter to which Rafe glanced rapidly between you and the road, his brows only furrowing farther as he watched you laugh as if he'd said the most hilarious thing conceivable. "Oh, baby," you said softly, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder when your fit of hysterics finally died down. "No, I definitely was not hinting at anything. I am so swamped with school and work that I barely have time for you, let alone a child."
"What?" Rafe asked, relief flooding through him at your confirmation that you weren't trying to subconsciously trick him into wanting a baby with you through your little psychology tricks. Simultaneously, he felt extremely dumbfounded as to your motivations. "Then why have you been talking about kids so much recently?" He quirked an eyebrow, pulling into the driveway of his family's estate.
"Because we're covering the development and learning unit in my psych course, which obviously focuses a lot on the earlier stages of life aka infancy and childhood," you explained, watching realization dawn on him like a light bulb turning on in a dark, empty room. "I didn't think I had to spell that out for you since i'm always hitting you with random facts from class."
Rafe parked the car and unbuckled his seatbelt so he could turn to face you. "Okay, so just to be crystal clear, you weren't trying to use fuckin'...i dont know- subliminal messaging and weird psychobabble voodoo to like, make me want to get you pregnant?"
You laughed, unbuckling your own seatbelt, so you could face him too. "No, you idiot. You're so ridiculous," you grinned, leaning over to give him a peck on the lips. "I promise you I don't want children right now, and if that ever changes, I will talk to you about it and not use subliminal messaging or weird psychobabble voodo."
"Okay, good," he nodded, opening his car door. "Topper and Kelce swore that you were trying to play some kind of mind game."
"Why would you listen to Topper and Kelce of all people?" You asked, following suit in getting out of the car, your brows furrowing as he mentioned the two people who have yet to hold a stable, healthy relationship for any period of time. "They're the world's biggest idiots."
"Yeah, you're right," he grinned, walking over to you and slinging his arm around your shoulder as you two walked to the front door. "I'm sorry for snapping at you," he murmured. pressing a kiss to your temple.
"It's okay," you reassured him, sliding your hand onto his back and rubbing soft, soothing circles. "Just promise you'll talk to me next time instead of letting it build up and fester until you get to the point where you feel like snapping."
"I promise," he vowed, ushering you into the house. "Now let me show youâmy beautiful, intelligent, and amazing girlfriendâhow sorry I really am," he gave your ass a little tap, making his intentions clear as he steered you toward the staircase, your giggles echoing through the empty house.

the aftermath of sex with rafe and youâre about to roll out to leave and heâs like âwhatâs going onâ and youâre like âoh you want me to stay?â
decided to use this request for bitchy!pogue!reader, bc i love their dynamic in my last drabble for them and wanted to see their relationship develop!! hope that's okay and thank you for the request!!đ«¶đŒđ«¶đŒ
said it a million times, only stay with you one more night - r.c
pairing: bitchy!pogue!reader x rafe

your breath was still shaky as you lay in rafeâs bed, staring up at the ceiling. the room smelled like sex and bad decisionsâthe same old combination every time you found yourself tangled up with him.
what the fuck had you done? again.
you groaned internally, rolling to the side and blinking at the mess of clothes on the floor. your clothes. you needed to get out of here, like you always did after. this was a routine by nowâfuck rafe, get dressed, leave before shit got weird.
but, of course, it was always weird with rafe.
he was your worst mistake on repeat, the asshole kook you swore you hated but couldnât seem to stop ending up in bed with. and you werenât entirely wrong. he was an asshole. that perfect jawline of his clenched every time he looked at you, like he wanted to snap orâsnap you in half, depending on the day. he acted like he couldnât stand you most of the time, and you loved it.
especially when you knew exactly where that frustration would end up:Â right between your legs.
you knew the deal. this thing with rafe was nothing but sex. pure tension. you loved driving him insane, loved the way his face would twist, how his hands would grip your hips with just a little too much pressure, like he had something to prove. but the second it was over, he always turned cold. heâd stare at you with that same lookâdisgusted, maybe even regretfulâlike he couldnât believe heâd let himself touch you.
and you werenât about to stick around for that bullshit.
with a sigh, you pushed the covers back and swung your legs out of the bed, standing up with a wince as your body reminded you just how hard he'd fucked you. the soreness in your thighs was a not-so-subtle reminder of how you ended up here, naked, in his bed again when you swore to yourself that the last time was really the last time.
you didnât even bother looking at him as you reached for your jeans on the floor, pulling them on quickly. you needed to get out of here before he started up with that whole âi donât even know why i did thisâ attitude, like you were the problem.
 âwhere are you going?â
you didnât even look back at him as you yanked your top over your head. âleaving. whatâs it look like?â
the bed creaked as he sat up, and you could practically feel his eyes burning into your back. âwhat the fuck is going on?â
you paused, one arm halfway through your top, rolling your eyes at his tone. now he wanted to act like something was different? âwhat do you mean, whatâs going on?â you shot back, sarcasm dripping from every word. ââm leaving. you know, like i always do after we fuck.â
rafe didnât answer right away, and for a second, you thought maybe heâd just let it go. but then he surprised you.
âyou donât have to go.â
you turned around slowly, narrowing your eyes at him. âwhat? you want me to stay now?â he never asked you to stay. hell, he was usually halfway out the door emotionally before you even got your clothes back on.
his face hardened at your reaction, that familiar pissed-off look settling into his features. âyeah, i donât know, maybe i do.â
you laughed, genuinely surprised. âsince when? you want me to hang around and play house after?â
âdo you always have to make everything so fucking complicated?â
you raised an unimpressed brow, âokay, i think you hit your head on the bedframe earlier.â
âshut the fuck up and get in bed.â
you froze, mid-laugh, becauseâwaitâwhat? rafe cameron, the king of "get out before i pretend you donât exist," actually wanted you to stay.
âexcuse me?â you blinked at him, fully expecting him to break character any second
he was unpredictable like that. one minute, he was treating you like youâre beneath himâlike you were the dirty secret he couldn't believe he kept hooking up withâand the next? he was saying stuff that made your heart do this stupid thing it had no business doing.
âget back in bed,â he demanded, like he actually expected you to listen.
âwhy? so you can flip back to being a fucking asshole in the morning?â
he rolled his eyes and groaned like you were the exhausting one here, âcan you justââ he hesitated, clearly fighting with whatever stupid thoughts were bouncing around that kook head of his. âjust come back to bed.â
and oh god, why did he have to sound almost...vulnerable?
you stared at him, fully aware this was a bad idea. the two of you didnât âdoâ feelings. shit, he barely âdidâ conversation after sex. this wasnât just out of character for him; it was out of this planet.
so you crossed your arms and tilted your head, leaning against his dresser like you had all the time in the world. âare you serious right now, cameron? you actually want me to stay? for what, a cuddle session? netflix?â
he gave you that trademark irritated look, tongue poking his cheek. âyouâre so fucking difficult.â
âyeah, well, youâre not exactly easy, baby.â
you smirked, half expecting him to snap again. but instead, he did something you never saw coming. he ran a hand through his messy hairâfull-on frustratedâand sighed. a real sigh. and then, in this quiet voice that was so unlike him, he said, âmaybe i just donât want you to leave.â
you felt your stomach flip. no no no. this wasnât part of the deal. you two werenât supposed to catch feelings. but the way he was looking at you, all raw and real for once, made your brain go foggy. you could leave right now. walk out, just like you always did, like a smart girl.
but something in his voice was pulling you back, like maybe this time was different. ârafeâŠâÂ
âjust stay,â he murmured, eyes locked on yours, and for the first time since you started this whole messed-up dance with him, you saw something in his face that wasnât anger or lust or annoyance.
it almost looked like...he cared. maybe youâd stay, just to see what this was about.
you werenât about to let your guard down completely. you werenât some naive kook princess. you knew how to protect yourselfâespecially from guys like him, because letâs be honest, rafe was a certified disaster in human form. and you werenât any better.
you sighed, running a hand through your hair. âif i stay, youâre not gonna pull some âi donât know why i did thisâ bullshit tomorrow, right? âcause âm not dealing with that again, cameron.â
he huffed, but there was this softness to it. âcan you just stay without turning everything into a fight?â
âturning it into a fight?â you raised a brow, incredulous. âthatâs literally your specialty.â
rafeâs jaw tightenedâagainâbut instead of snapping back like usual, he just stared at you. ââm not asking for forever, alrighâ? just one night. jesus.â
one night.
you could do one night, right?
you climbed back onto the bed, settling into the sheets next to him. it felt...weird. not in a bad way, just different. usually, youâd be out of here by now, shorts half-buttoned, sneaking out like some guilty secret. but this? lying next to him, clothes still off, in his bed, with his scent all around you? it felt more intimate than any of the wild, angry sex youâd had with him before.
âhappy now?â you muttered, glancing over at him.
rafe didnât say anything for a second. he just looked at you, like he wasnât sure how to act either. âyeah. maybe i am.â
it was bizarre, how different this felt from all the other times. there was no rush to leave, no awkward scramble to avoid the inevitable âi shouldnât have done thatâ speech. just the two of you, lying there in silence. you felt his hand brush against yours under the covers. it wasnât a big, dramatic move, just his fingers lightly grazing your skin.
it was such a small thing, but somehow, it felt... huge. rafe was the last guy on earth you ever expected to be soft, especially with you. but here he was, in this tiny, almost awkward moment, doing something that felt closer to intimacy than anything else youâd ever shared. what the hell was happening?
âyouâre acting like a human being. itâs weirding me out.â
he smirked, but it didnât have the usual arrogance behind it. âmaybe 'm just tired of being an asshole.â
you chuckled, shaking your head. âthat would be a first.â
he didnât fight back like you expected. instead, his hand moved a little under the covers, and suddenly, his fingers were really holding yours, not just grazing but actually intertwining with your own. you blinked down at your joined hands, feeling your heart flip-flop in a way that annoyed you. this wasnât what you signed up for, not even close.
but then again, when had anything with him ever gone according to plan.
âwhy are you doing this?â you asked quietly, trying to ignore how fast your pulse was beating.
rafeâs jaw clenchedâagain, with the jaw clenchingâbut this time, it didnât feel like frustration. he was thinking, actually thinking about what to say, and that alone was enough to make you nervous.
âi donât know,â he admitted, âi justââ He stopped himself, taking a deep breath like the words were hard for him to get out. âmaybe i donât hate you as much as i thought i did.â
that threw you for a loop. he was never this honest. you stared at him, eyes wide, waiting for the punchline, but there wasnât one. he wasnât smirking, wasnât trying to act like he didnât care. he just... said it. like it was the most normal thing in the world to admit feelings when feelings werenât even on the table.
âWow,â you breathed, genuinely shocked. âyou really hit your head earlier.â
he snickered, but it sounded differentâsoft, even. âYeah, maybe I did.â
âshould i call for a doctor?â
it was unsettling seeing him like this, not lashing out or shutting you down with a snide comment.Â
âyou donât always have to make everything a joke.â
your eyebrows shot up at that, the surprise clear on your face. âexcuse me? thatâs literally what we doââ you gestured vaguely between the two of you. âthatâs our thing.â
he just sighed, shaking his head like he was genuinely exasperated with you. before you could throw out another sarcastic remark, he grabbed you by the back of your neck, pulling you into a kiss.
his hand gripped the back of your neck with just enough pressure to hold you in place, but there was a tenderness in the way his fingers tangled in your hair. his lips met yours gently at first as if testing the waters, and the softness of it scared you. you were so used to him being all teeth, nipping, and biting, that this moment of quiet, hesitant intimacy caught you off guard. he kissed you like he was savoring itâlike this was something he wanted to remember.
his thumb brushed lightly along your jawline, as the kiss deepened, his lips pressing a little harder against yours, but it still lacked the aggression youâd come to expect from him. there was no desperation here. his tongue flicked against your bottom lip, gentle but insistent, and without thinking, you parted your lips, letting him in. your bodies stayed close, but it wasnât the usul closeness that came from lust. the slow, languid rhythm of his mouth against yours was intimate in a way that felt too personal.
rafe was kissing you like you were someone he cared about, like you were more than just another way to burn off steam. this wasnât what you two did. you werenât supposed to share soft touches and slow kisses. you were supposed to fight, tear each other apart, then fuck like it was the only thing holding you together.
when the kiss finally broke, you felt dazed, staring at him like you didnât recognize the person in front of you. rafe, however, didnât seem fazed. he just looked at you with those piercing blue eyes, still holding the back of your neck like he was afraid youâd bolt the second he let go.
âi meant it,â he said quietly, his voice a low, âi donât want you to leave.â
âi donât do this,â you muttered, shaking your head. âwe donât do this.â
rafeâs grip on your neck loosened, but his hand didnât move. âi know. just tonight.â
you closed your eyes, breathing him in. he smelled like sweat and sex and something that made your entire body hurt in a way you hadnât expected. maybe he wasnât asking for forever, but staying here with him felt like it could change everything.
one night and youâd worry about tomorrow when it came.

Skz Calling you clingy
Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N.
Warning: Angst, meanie lee know, Hurt/no comfort, drinking is mentioned, reader is stood up
Authors note: Sorry this took forever to come out, I've been busy and hadn't felt like writing much. You guys are gonna hate me for this one.
Part 2
Not proof read.
Word count: 947
Your 2nd anniversary with Lee Know was 2 weeks ago but Lee Know was too busy so you couldn't celebrate, and you don't blame him, you were busy too. So today you and him were meant to go on a date to celebrate the late anniversary. Except he hasn't shown up yet and you're starting to think he isn't gonna. You thought he might have lost track of time but it's late. You were starting to get self-conscious; were people looking at you? It didn't help that you were dressed up all pretty, waiting for a man who hadn't shown up.
You had already sent him about five messages asking if he was okay and where he was.
There was still no response.
However, your message showed that it had been read. You were beginning to feel anxious, fidgeting with the utensils on the table. You checked your phone again, hoping for a reply, but there was nothing. You decided to text him a few more times.
Still no response.
After about an hour you realize he isn't coming and you leave the restaurant with a heavy heart, feeling dejected. You had dressed up all nicely just for the occasion, and yet he had left you hanging. If he'd texted you saying something came up at the company or something you would have understood but no, he read your messages but hadn't bothered to respond.
Once you arrive home you are instantly met with the sight of a tipsy-looking Lee Know sitting on the couch eating takeout, looking as if nothing had happened. He didn't seem to notice you at first but as you slammed the door behind you he looked up, noticing your presence. He looked unbothered, a stark change from your upset state.
âWhere were you?â
Lee Know didn't answer immediately, instead, he continued to munch on his food, almost unbothered. "I was drinking with Changbin and Hyunjin at their dorm,â he replied after a while, his tone nonchalant. This only makes you even more mad.
âSo you read my messages and chose not to respond to them?â You ask, already losing your temper at how unbothered he looked.
He shrugged nonchalantly. "Yeah, I saw them but I was busy,â he said, still eating. He seemed dismissive about your frustration, making no effort to apologize or reassure you.
âSo did you forget or just choose to ignore my messages?â You ask, feeling hurt by his dismissiveness.
Lee Know finally stopped eating and let out a sigh. "Well, I didnât exactly forget your message,â he admitted, a slight hint of annoyance in his tone. You were being clingy as usual, and I didn't feel like dealing with it. "
Lee Knowâs words stung you; after waiting on him for over 2 hours in a pretty dress, wearing the perfume he likes, he had the audacity to call you clingy. "So you purposefully left me hanging," you replied, your irritation escalating, "I was waiting for you at the restaurant, dressed up and all for our 2nd anniversary, which was 2 weeks ago mind you, and you were busy drinking with Changbin and Hyunjin?" You continued, your voice getting louder. "But no, you decided not to respond to any of my texts, you let me sit all alone in the restaurant, couldn't even bother sending an 'I'm busy' or a 'can't come' text?"
Lee Know seemed to be getting irritated himself now, setting his takeout container aside. "Why are you getting so worked up? It's not a big deal,â he said, dismissive. "You're always like this, all clingy and needy."
His words were like salt on the wound, and you felt your eyes tearing up. "So I'm clingy for wanting my boyfriend to keep his plans and show up for our anniversary celebration? Our anniversary that was 2 weeks ago. I get that you're busy and I waited, I waited 2 weeks for this date and you didnât come. I wouldâve understood if something important came up, I wouldâve even understood if you wouldâve just told me you didnât want to go, but no, you stood me up.â
Your voice cracked as you continued, the hurt evident in your tone. "And then you call me clingy and needy? For wanting some respect and consideration? For wanting you to treat me like a priority the same way I do you?"
Lee Know ran his fingers through his hair, frustration etched on his face. "You're over-exaggerating. I donât get why you're making such a big deal out of this. So I couldnât make it this time, so what?â He crossed his arms, his tone still indifferent.
"You're acting like a brat,* he muttered under his breath.
Even though he muttered it you still heard it, âOh really? I am? And you're acting like someone who needs to get their priorities straight!â That was the last thing you said before storming out of the house.
Your anger reached its peak as you stormed out of the house, leaving Lee Know sitting alone on the couch. He watched you leave, looking slightly taken aback by your sudden outburst. But he made no effort to stop you, he just sat there and let you walk out. He hadnât realized it yet but he messed up.
Big time.

Childhood friends AU Idea
Steve and Eddie are best friends who make plans to learn the elvish alphabet from The Hobbit so that they can pass notes without worrying about other people reading them.
The end of the school year (Eddie in 6th, Steve in 5th) brings a sadness to the two. Eddie's going to middle school and Steve's not yet, but they can hang out on weekends, and they have all summer so no worries. (Also, it gives Steve a little more time to learn elvish, since it'll be a whole year until they're in the same school again.)
Except yes worries because two weeks into summer, Eddie vanishes. When Steve bikes to his house to investigate, the whole house is empty. Packed up and gone. Steve goes to Wayne for answer and all he gets is a smile that doesn't really reassure and words of "his dad got a job opportunity, had to move on short notice. But don't worry, kiddo. I'll get you the number to their new place so you can call."
He learns elvish anyway. It's harder without Eddie to help but he's determined. Eddie might return, or maybe he'll get an address one day. Send a letter to Eddie in full Elvish.
Steve never gets a number or address. Summer ends and sixth grade comes. He doesn't want to forget all the elvish he's learned, just in case. So, he decides to keep a journal. He can write all about everything that's happening and when he sees Eddie, he can give it to him. It's a double win. Eddie will know everything he's missed out on AND it'll help Steve practice elvish.
Sixth grade ends. Eddie doesn't return. Steve did make friends with Carol Perkins though, so he's not as lonely. He hopes Eddie made a new friend, too. But not a new best friend. That's Steve's position, always.
Seventh grade brings Tommy Hagan, but still no Eddie. It brings a growth spurt and sports. Steve likes the easy camaraderie that comes with sports teams. It's like having a lot of friends, which Steve will only admit to needing in his journal. Needing many little connections of friendship to hold together the big hole Eddie left behind.
The summer between seventh and eighth grade brings him a Bruce Springsteen concert. He'd never thought of a boy kissing another boy until he'd witnessed it on stage but he thinks about it a lot after. The end of that summer brings an awaken he refuses to shy away from even if he has to hide it
Eighth grade brings popularity. Steve's good looking, rich, and liked among his peers. It brings the first (and last) time his dad says he's proud of him.
(Steve will spend the rest of his high school career chasing his father's approval.)
Freshman year brings Eddie back, but he's different. His hair is longer and his clothes are darker and he's distant. Defiant and angry. Steve would recognize him anywhere, dressed in anyway.
Eddie doesn't want his friendship anymore. Avoids him in the halls and cafeteria, but Steve is nothing if not persistent. He writes a full letter in elvish to slip into Eddie's locker, but Eddie catches him. Shoves the letter back, unopened, unread, with a harsh whispered, "Don't you get it Harrington? I don't want to be your friend. Fuck off."
Steve doesn't understand why. Not until the table top rants start. Conformity and jocks and brain-dead rich kids who get by on favoritism.
It hurts. Steve feels his heart break the day he finally gets the not-so-subtle messages drilled into his mind. Eddie hates sports, and rich people, and stupid people. Eddie hates all the things that Steve is.
Eddie hates him.
Sophomore year brings Steve a lot of things. It brings the acknowledgment that he was probably in love with Eddie, the way his heart twists the day he sees Eddie flirting with a girl in the hallway, the way he wants the lights out when hooking up with someone so he can imagine a different person pressed against him, the way he gravitates towards brunettes with brown eyes and the flickering hope it might make Eddie jealous. (The way he'd said the wrong name when Brent went down on him, too absorbed in the fantasy of someone else to get it right. Brent hadn't been offended by it, he'd been thinking of someone else, too. Steve finds solidarity for a little bit, until the school year ends and Brent leaves Hawkins.)
Junior year turns Steve's life upside down (pun intended) with monster's coming out of walls. There's probably a lot more he should write about but his journal's pretty empty this year. Too traumatized to document. (Too afraid of what Eddie would say because Steve still writes in his journal like he plans on sending it to Eddie one day. Better to write nothing than sound crazy.)
And halfway through his senior year (don't think about how he's in it with Eddie, about the 4 classes they share, about how Eddie still won't meet his eye) he wants to fade into the background. Nancy and he break up. She's with Jonathan and he hears the whispers of how pathetic he is to be eating lunch with his ex and the guy that 'stole' her. Steve knows that's a lie, Nancy made her choice, and no one can say otherwise, but it hurts to hear. He can't be bothered to try and make new friends. How would he explain the nightmares? The skittishness. The fear of the dark, of pumpkin patches, of his own damn pool now that he's had time to process last year?
Then, the next year brings him Robin. Well. First it brings him an embarrassing uniform and then Russian torture (don't think about it. Don't think about how he'll shorthand the stock list by writing it in Elvish sometimes. Don't think about how the Russian's almost believe they just work for Scoops until they find the stock list in his pocket. Don't think about how they don't believe that the strange script they can't identify isn't proof he's a spy), but in the end he gets Robin. A Platonic Soulmate who understands the hidden side of him. She asked if he was ever in love, and he thinks of the Eddie he used to know, longs to know again, and describes her instead. She rejects him in the softest way possible and then confesses about Tammy, and he confesses about Eddie in turn.
1986 brings Eddie back into his life in the worst way possible. With a bottle to his neck and them both acting like they've never spoken before. It brings twisting guts as Steve lies awake thinking about Eddie alone in a boathouse instead of sharing a bed with him like they used to in elementary school. It brings Steve leading them to Skull Rock (popularized as a make out spot but started as a set of boys' favorite place to play pirates during the summer). Dustin and Eddie make references Steve pretends to not know, despite his own copies of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings and the numerous amounts of notebooks turned journals with elvish scrawled throughout.
There's a trek through the Upside Down. In another universe, Steve imagines he and Eddie talk. In this one, Robin sticks to his side like an extension of him (which she is), and glares at Eddie every time he looks in Steve's direction. Robin knows everything, knows it all, because there are no secrets between them.
They make plans to stop Vecna, once and for all, and Robin confesses she has a fear. That it won't turn out okay this time, but they have to try anyway. Steve clinks his bottle against hers and looks across the field to Eddie and Dustin. The stakes feel so much higher this time.
"I'm going to talk to Eddie if we survive. Make it right," he says.
"No. He's going to make it right because you didn't do anything wrong," Robin says, which is more support than he thought he'd get given the grudge she holds in his favor.
Eddie said make him pay and Steve does. Nancy advances, shotgun shot after shot and Steve's bounding down the stairs. Vecna beats him to the ground floor but not by much.
A hatchet's not the best tool to remove a head with but he manages. When he looks up, Nancy and Robin are looking down, both approving.
They find Dustin sobbing over Eddie and- and-
Steve's certain he's broken several of Eddie's ribs but he's breathing again, Nancy finds his pulse beneath all the blood, and Robin's retrieved the cut sheets to make bandages out of. Nothing is clean in this world, infection could kill him later, he might not save Eddie like he wants, but fucking Christ, at least if death claims him, it'll be on the right side of the world in a hospital.
Dustin, Robin, and Steve are at Eddie's side when Nancy leads Wayne into the room. They knew she went out looking for him (Steve was going to but Nancy had shoved him back in the chair with a look that left no room for argument) but even so they're startled by him.
Wayne has always been stoic and reserved, so it's no surprise to Steve when he just lets out a low whistle and says, "of all the people I might see here, you weren't one of 'em."
Steve swallows thickly and says, "well. I am. Here, I mean."
And Wayne gives him a watery smile and crosses the room. Pulls Steve into a hug that Steve thinks he probably wants to give to Eddie instead, but Eddie's not awake and standing and Steve is. But then Wayne says, "I told Eddie he couldn' chase ya away. That if he just talked to ya, you'd understand. He tried so hard to make ya hate him, and for what? For ya to be at his bedside anyway."
And Steve sobs. Loud and ugly and suddenly Dustin's there, and so are Robin and Nancy, and it's probably the most awkward hug for all the others but it's the best hug Steve's had in years. He doesn't even care that he's crying because how can he? Wayne's all but confirmed that Eddie doesn't hate him, maybe never hated him. That Eddie has an explanation, a reason for it all, and all he wants is Eddie to wake up and tell him.
Steve finally gets his apology two days after Eddie's release. It's the first time they've been alone together since- well, since elementary school. Wayne drove him here then lied about needing to check on something and said he'd be back in an hour or so before abandoned them to the awkward silence in Steve's living room.
"I'm sorry, Steve!" Eddie blurts out loudly, then looks startled by his own yelling.
"I know. I forgive you."
"You shouldn't."
"I know. Still do anyway. Would like to know what happened, though."
And Eddie tells him. How his father's debts came calling and they ran. How his mom got sick real fast, and his father's crime spree and prison sentence following her passing. How Eddie discovered the same thing about himself that Steve did but didn't have the same acceptance of himself. Hated that another thing marked him as Other. Freak.
He tells Steve how he couldn't let Steve back in because he was afraid of losing him again if he ever learned.
"I didn't think you'd be okay being friends with a faggot," Eddie spits the word out, dirty and mean and directed at himself.
Steve makes a decision then. "Follow me." And he helps Eddie up the stairs and into his room. Eddie sits on the bed and watches as Steve digs out notebook after notebook after notebook, until they're a tower on his bed. Then he topples them over in his search for the first.
Eddie takes the offered notebook with confusion on his face, looking from the cover, where 1978 is written on it. The summer Eddie vanished from Steve's life.
"Open it."
Eddie does and gasps. "Steve. Is this-"
"Every single one of these notebooks was written to you. For you. About you. I read The Hobbit for you. The Lord of the Rings. I learned elvish for you. I think I've been a little bit in love with you since the day we met on the playground on my second day of first grade."
"Steve," it comes out breathless and awed.
"Eddie," Steve repeats back to him, just as breathless as Eddie tosses the notebook aside and reaches for Steve instead. Hauls him in to kiss him senseless amongst the proof of Steve's devotion.

Just thinking about an no-Upside Down au. Teacher!Steve, escort!eddie, SFW, both mid-twenties. Never met Eddie.
Steve has trauma from the way his parents treated him, and nightmares from the mall fire he was in. He usually manages this by hanging out with Robin and having sleepovers once or twice every week as long as she's single, or her coming over for evenings and keeping him safe for a few hours while he naps. It's not the best sleep in the world, but it gets him by.
But then one day, he realises she's going on holiday. For 2 weeks. And he has no idea how he's going to sleep. He can't won't take any medication because of a bad experience, and nothing but someone he trusts being there ever helps him get a good night's sleep. Even if he tried to get a casual fuck over the weekend, the chances are he'll have a nightmare and scare the shit out of them. That's happened one too many times and he refuses to do that again.
He's watching TV one night when the characters on screen start talking about escorts, and suddenly, the idea doesn't seem too crazy. Fast forward a few days, and after a lot of research, he finds himself making the call. He knows it's a lot of money, especially on his salary, but if it helps, it helps, and he knows he hates going a week without some decent sleep, let alone 2. He's bound to get a migraine, and he can't afford to miss work for that.
So, he books in with a male escort, voice shaking and hands sweating, but determined all the same. It's his only hope of surviving.
The week Robin leaves is exactly as hard as he expects it to be, and by Friday he's almost too tired to be nervous. But when he gets home from work and showers, some jitters return, getting much stronger when there's a knock at his door, 7pm sharp.
The guy standing on the other side of the door is utterly gorgeous. Tattoos, leather jacket, messy long black hair, and just a hint of a self-confident swagger that Steve is sure he's muting in an attempt to be professional. Steve just stands there, trying not to let his jaw hit the floor or his eyes pop out of his head. The guy's - Eddie's - smile, isn't helping.
Initially, Eddie flirts a little, trying to put Steve at ease. And it should work. But for some reason, it doesn't. Maybe it's because this is a guy that Steve would fuck, but tonight, he just needs to sleep, and somehow that feels even more vulnerable. But Eddie quickly picks up on it and backs off, talking to him in a soothing tone, and Steve quickly feels himself unspooling, settling into having Eddie in his space.
The rest of the night passes easily. They eat takeout, chill on the sofa, chat, and before Steve knows it, it's 10pm and Steve's eyes are burning. Eddie just lets the conversation settle, smiling gently and letting Steve make the first move. Letting Steve know he's still in control.
Its nerve wracking to go through his evening routine with a stranger he's paying to be there (though for what he still hasn't decided. He'd told the agency cuddling, but that seemed such a big ask right now), waiting in his bedroom for him, but Eddie makes that easier once again. When Steve emerges from the bathroom, he's met with his metal attire neatly folded on a chair, wild hair now tied up in a messy bun, and the man himself in sausage dog covered pjs. He can't help but laugh, Eddie's triumphant grin sending flutters through him.
They settle into bed, and Eddie does ask what Steve wants, but the words don't come. So, Eddie just holds his arms out, and with Steve's consent, gently guides him into his chest. His large, warm, safe chest.
For the briefest moment, Steve remains tense, breath not coming as easily as he'd like. But then he's melting, fingers curling into Eddie's soft pj top, a sound dangerously close to a whimper threatening to crawl up his throat. And Eddie just holds him tighter (though not too tight), murmuring softly in his ear, his voice low and ever so slightly raspy, sending shivers down his spine.
Steve doesn't want it to end. It's perfect. With Robin gone, he hasn't been touched intentionally in a week, and even before that, it's more likely that they're sitting on each other's laps or something. He can't remember the last time he was just held.
"Easy, big boy, I've got you," Eddie murmurs as Steve clutches onto Eddie's shirt even more tightly. "I'm not going anywhere."
He knows he's delusional from the lack of sleep, because right before he drifts off, he thinks he can hear real concern and care in Eddie's voice.

â
In another universe, we would have grown old together.
As promised, we would have woken up in each other's arms, go on morning walks, share a sandwich, watch the birds fly by...
As promised, we would have grown a flower bed out in the countryside, have chats with our elderly neighbors every now and then, watch the sunset together...
When we first got back to our home after the accident, I had hope. I know it was hard for you to live with me, as you saw me as nothing more than a stranger, but I believed you could remember me. I had strength that our love would prevail, as cheesy as it sounds...I believed that you could remember me.
Every little aspect of our little life was still there. The way I still had to try extra hard to wake you up in the mornings, how you still enjoyed noodles that were a little overcooked and soaked with the broth, and even the way you sat on "your spot" of the couch. Everything was so endearing, and I wanted to believe that you hadn't changed.
The way you still greeted your old friends was all the same. Sure, you missed out on some memories, but for the most part, they didn't have to endure the pain of being asked, "who are you?"
It was nice to see some of your memories come back, too. When you had that nagging feeling that you just had to go to the local park, even though it was raining...all because it felt right. And it did. We used to take a walk on weekends to wind down and relax. Our hands intertwined, and just simply people watching. It re-lit what little faith I had left, and had me craving for more...more of you remembering our memories.
How you started going out every other evening to get some drinks. It seemed so...painfully absent in the home, but at least you were putting in the effort to remember.
So how...how is it that you seem to start remembering everything but me? How can you remember the way I liked my eggs scrambled, but not me? How could you remember how I liked the way I folded my clothes, but not me? How was my spot replaced with her?
Was it not strange that she would make you sunny-side up eggs, even though you said you didn't like the yolk runny? How she didn't walk the path you wanted to walk in the park? You brought her a beautiful bouquet wrapped in purple, yet the colors she surrounds herself with are yellow.
Why is it that I hear from Shoko that you were with her again? Why do I get messages from Megumi that you had to buy two bouquets, because you accidentally bought purple flowers again? Why is it that it seems you never come home to me? Why did I have to see your wedding ring on the bathroom floor. Forgotten.
Why do I wake up to an empty home, and go to bed alone now....
...You know, yesterday was our anniversary. I had bought a cake and even asked Yuuji to help me decorate the living room for us. It was...pretty awkward, to say the least, when he calls me and says you're at the bar with "that girl again."
To be honest, Satoru, I don't blame you. How could I? You experienced trauma, you have amnesia...you still see me as a stranger that just happens to live in the same home as you, and just happens to have a bunch of pictures with you, and even a wedding photo plastered in the bedroom wall. Right.
But it would've been nice if you had just...tried. Tried to come home to me. Try to spend time with me. Given me the bouquets because I love purple.
Tried to be the husband you promised you would be to me.
So here. I'm sure you've already seen them, but the divorce papers are under the letter. I've signed everything, and again I'm sure you've seen, but I grabbed all my essentials and left. You don't have to see me again. I placed our rings in the box they came in...thank goodness I saved it, despite you wanting me not to. You can do what you will with them...you did buy them anyways.
And I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I couldn't give more time to you. I'm sorry if I didn't try hard enough. But, I'm sure you'd understand...you've got holes in your memories that everyone wants to fill.
and I've got whole memories that I can't share anymore.

ex!sukuna x reader - nsfw
wc: 3.1k
you get stuck on the side of the road with no gas and the only one who comes to your rescue is your ex sukuna <3
this can't be fucking real. your car sputters as you pull onto the side of the road before it comes to a halt. your roommate had borrowed your car earlier and returned it with just enough time to drive to your date on time. she didn't tell you, however, that the tank was nearly empty, and you had to ignore the small light that went on as you neared the small bar, not wanting to be rude and arrive late.
the date was alright, and at least he asked you a question or two instead of droning on and on alone for an hour and a half like your last date did. he was handsome and seemed kind enough that you could see him making a great boyfriend for someone else, but there was an unfortunate lack of chemistry between the two of you. there was a promise to talk again soonâ one that would surely be broken-- and then you found yourself on your way. driving always gave you time to think and apparently, all the thinking drowned out any warning signs that the car tried to send you before giving out.
you try your roommate first, calling her with the hopes that she's with her boyfriend and he'd be willing to drive to you and at least get you to a gas station. the blaring music in the background of the call gives you an idea of what they're up to and when she turns the camera to her boyfriend with a funnel in his mouth, you cross them off the list.
next you try your date, crossing your fingers that he's still in the area. it goes straight to voicemail. you call again, maybe it was just bad connection or something. voicemail again. "dickhead" you mutter.
your only other friend who would be willing to come pick you up without holding the favor over your head works always works a double on saturdays. you know she'd come pick you up in a heartbeat, but she needs her rest and you decide against calling.
and so you come upon your last option. you and sukuna broke up two months ago and you hadn't seen him since. it was a stupid spat- you don't even remember what the source of the problem was but at some point you just started insulting each other like fucking middle school children. he called you an overbearing bitch, you called him a jealous dickhead who couldn't get over his mommy and daddy issues. things just got away from the two of you and neither of you called to mend things. about a month ago, you just assumed you were now single and when your roommate made you a profile on a stupid dating app, you didn't delete it right away.
and so, here you are now. an empty tank, with no one except him to call. you wince as you type his number in and his contact name appears as scumbag. deciding that calling him is a better option than staying alone in a car on the side of the road all night, you close your eyes and tap the green call icon. it rings once.
"hello?" his voice is gruff and the one word squeezes your heart, making you remember how much you actually miss him, despite hating him sometimes too.
"hi sukuna, i'm sorry to bother. is this a bad time?" you hear voices in the background, he might be at a friend's. even as you ask that, you know he'd drop everything if he knew you were in need.
"what's up princess? you need something?" he uses your old nickname and the heartstrings tug even more. he ignores your question and you know that you were right.
"well, it's not an emergency, but, i ran out of gas and-" you start but don't get to finish your sentence.
"send me your location." is all he says before he hangs up.
you send it. you still had his from when you were dating, but you had stopped sharing yours a week after the argument. you knew he was liable to show up at a club if he knew you were there and didn't want to give him the satisfaction of being able to do that. you were free to do as you please. the map said that he was 22 minutes away.
within 15 minutes, you see a pair of headlights slow. you get out of your car, ready to scold him for speeding but eager to see him again, even if the last time you saw him was on bad terms. confusion enters you, though, when you see an unfamiliar car. out comes a man that you donât recognize. âhello sweetcheeks,â says the man, walking towards you and grinning far too much for your liking. âyou get lost or something?âÂ
you head back towards your car reaching in to grab your phone but never taking your eyes off the man. âno, Iâm not. I am waiting for a friend.â you try to keep your voice assertive and steady but it is difficult when this creep keeps coming towards you. you click sukunaâs contact and send him a text, âcreepy guy here, please come quick.âÂ
âcan i wait with ya? you look like you could use a friend and I am great company.â he says, getting too close to the car and too close to you. he responds to your âno, thank you.â with a âaw come on, iâm not gonna do anything to ya. why donât you want to hang out with me? donât be a bitch.âÂ
âsir, iâm really gonna need you to back up right now please.â youâre cornered into your car door and you curse yourself for forgetting to replace the pepper spray on your keychain. your heart seems to be beating through your chest but you can see headlights to a much bigger car turning onto the road over the manâs shoulder. sukunaâs truck roars closer and you could almost cry in gratitude. the man in front of you doesnât seem to notice the lights nor the man bounding towards the two of you. just as he goes to reach your hand, sukuna grabs the manâs shoulder and pulls him away from you, bending his arm behind his back so far you are sure itâs going to snap at any moment.Â
âlisten here you degenerate piece of lowlife scum. the only reason you have your face still intact is because iâm on fucking probation and I donât need to go to jail over some fucking incel who canât take no for an answer. now youâre going to walk back to your car and drive on the fuck home and if i ever catch you around here creeping again, you wonât have enough limbs or teeth to try it a third time. got it?â the man nods and whimpers as sukuna releases his arm, running over to his car and speeding off.
sukuna turns to you to ask you if youâre alright but lets out a small âumphâ in surprise when you run into his chest and wrap your arms around him. he places a hand on your head and rubs it back and forth, muttering a âyeah, yeahâ as you thank him over and over. he grabs your chin to tilt your head up to him and looks into your glassy eyes as he asks âyou alright, princess?â
you nod, but donât unwrap your arms from his torsoâ refusing to release your lifeline. you burrow your head into his chest again, needing a moment to ground yourself before returning to reality. he huffs, but squeezes you tight, rubbing his thumb on your shoulder. you stand like that for a minute or two before he pushes you back. âcome on, let's fix your car and get you warmed up. itâs cold out here.â then he takes a look at your outfit. âhold on, where the fuck were you?â
your cheeks warm, remembering that you really tried to look cute for this date. you paired a cute slip dress with a cardigan and some short strappy heels. an outfit wasted on a man who showed up in shorts and a graphic tee but you suppose sukuna seeing you in it is at least a plus. âjust a bar.â you say, while looking to the side.
he grabs your chin and brings your eyes back to him, a favorite move of his apparently, and scans your face. âyou were with a guy, huh? what the fuck? are you cheating on me?â he asks incredulously.
âwhat? you havenât talked to me in two months. I thought we broke up!â you reply, equally confused.
âI thought you were doing your fucking âhealingâ or whatever the fuck you girls do! I gave you space because i was trying to be mature and let you calm down.â
âwho lets someone calm down for two months? you didnât think to call me and ask? what is wrong with you?âÂ
âyou! you are fucking wrong with me. whenever it comes to you its like all fucking reasonable thought goes out the window! how the fuck was I supposed to know it was okay to reach out? and, what, we donât talk for a little and you think itâs okay to go talk to other guys? youâre mine, donât you remember that? or did our dry spell fuck with your head? did you think you could get over me by dressing up for some loser and getting mediocre dick?âÂ
yes. âno! it wasnât like that kuna. I just, i donât know. you were so mean and then you didnât reach out and i thought that was it between us. I thought i needed to move on.âÂ
he bends over so that you are eye level with each other. âthereâs no fucking âmoving onâ baby. youâre stuck with me forever.â
upon hearing those words, itâs like all the sentiment from before truly comes flooding back into you. your body seems to move on its own, surprising the both of you when you close the gap between your lips. his fist finds its way into your hair and the other grabs your waist, pulling you closer. these months were the longest you have gone without sex and you didnât know how much you had missed it until you were back in sukunas hands with his tongue in your mouth. he moves his knee between your thighs as much as your dress will let him. the friction isnât enough and you whine and squirm in his arms. âaw, is my baby all needy? do you need more?â he teases, the words leaving his mouth and meeting yours.Â
you drag your hands down his back and then slip them under his shirt to roam around his abs. fuck, youâve missed this. âplease, please kuna, need more.âÂ
sukuna growls and pulls you back, closing the door to the driverâs seat and opening the door to the back row. he tugs your arm and maneuvers you like a doll until youâre laid across your back seats. sukuna kneels on the floor outside the car and tugs your hips to the edge of the outermost seat before hiking up your dress to your waist. he growls when he realizes you arenât wearing panties. âare you fucking kidding me? you had this pretty pussy ready and open on a first date? like some slut?âÂ
he bites the inside of your thigh and you cry out âno, ryo, the lines just ruin the dress. I promise.â heâs looking up at your frown and your watery eyes and you look so sincere and so adorable and he canât take it anymore. he sticks his head into your heat, lapping at you like he hasnât had a meal since the last time you saw him.
âfuck, baby. Iâve missed your taste so much. his fingers dig into your hips, keeping you in place as your back arches and your head digs into the seat. you canât stop your squirming as sukuna sucks at your clit and your hands claw at your sides and the seat in search of something to grasp. sukuna grips your left leg and adjusts it so that it lays over his right shoulder. he brings your hand into his hair before dipping to play with your clit, his head lowering to kiss and swirl his tongue all around your pussy. with his other hand, he intertwines his fingers with yours, not even needing to look up to find your hand. of course he doesnât look awayâ heâs entirely focused on using his tongue to make you forget anyone but him exists. he uses the palm of the hand thatâs intertwined with yours to press on your tummy, making you see stars.
âfuck, ryomen, iâm gonna cum. please pleasepleasepleasepleaseâ your words blend together as the pleasure gets to your head. the fingers over your clit have found a deadly rhythm and when paired with his tongue that pushes in and out of you, you truly donât stand a chance. he lets out small words that you canât hear but the vibrations are enough to send you over the edge, crying out and squeezing your thighs around him like a vice. as you come down from your high you let sukuna move you up, making space for him to get into the car and close the door behind him.Â
youâre dazed as you watch him unbuckle his belt and pull the waistband of his boxers down. His dick slaps his abdomen, hard and pulsing. he fists himself as he licks his lips, smirking. âdelicious as always princess. now are you gonna let me in?â and you donât think you could nod faster. youâre almost positive that there are hearts in your eyes as you watch him line himself up with you, fingers playing with your clit a little before spreading you for his tip. he rolls his hips forwards just enough so the tip catches and the stretch is already dizzyingly good. he curses, âholy fuck, did you not touch yourself at all while you were alone?â
âI did, my fingers just werenât enough.â you whine, and the image of you in bed horny and frustrated because your little fingers werenât hitting all the spots that he could makes him impossibly harder.Â
âfuck, baby, I didnât just ruin you for any other guy, I ruined you for yourself too, huh? nothing else will do for this pretty pussy but my cock or my fingers or my mouth. what a spoiled little cunt you have.â he laughs. you have had enough of his teasing and try to roll your hips to get more in. âalright alright I get it. easy baby, easy. by the way, what did you have for dinner tonight?âÂ
confused, you reply âchicken francaise, whââ but you donât get to finish your sentence, interrupted by sukuna fully thrusting into you. you gasp, the sting of your walls stretching to accommodate him intense even after cumming once already.
âI figured a distraction might help you relax a little better but holy fuck youâre tighter than I could have imagined. you really must have barely touched yourself while I was gone. donât worry, this pussy wonât get neglected again.â he says, and rolls his hips again. sweat drips down your forehead as he leans over to kiss you, working his hips into yours in a delicious rhythm. as soon as you notice that his thumb has started rubbing your clit, he bites your bottom lip and the pain and pleasure mix into a mind numbing, all encompassing haze. he brings his other hand to pinch your nipple and it is enough to send you over the edge again.
being the man that he is, however, he does not let you catch a break before flipping you over to be on your hands and knees. youâre crouched and youâre sweaty and itâs hot as he slides against you but nothing has been more erotic and you find that you love it. heâs merciless now, hips snapping into yours as he chases his own pleasure. thereâs just one thing he canât get out of his mind. âdid you like having your fun? was going out with those losers everything you had hoped for and more?â he spits the words into your ear, the smack of his hips getting rougher and rougher as he speaks.
itâs all you can do to turn your head and whine out ân-no! only wanted you ryo, hated going out with other guys.â you pout just remembering it. âplease make me forget about them. I only ever want you.â the request is enough to send him into overdrive, and he sticks his fingers into your mouth to shut you up, knowing that he was going to be seconds away from coming if you uttered another word. you moan at the taste of yourself and at the feeling of him so deep inside you. you suck his fingers clean running your tongue across his digits. some of the spit escapes and drips down the side of your mouth and the sukuna goes wild at the debauchery of it all.Â
âfuck, fuck fuck fuck iâm gonna cum, where do you want it princess?â he groans, hips stuttering as he tries to hold his release back.
there is, of course, only one right answer. âinside!â you keen, pushing your hips back to try to give him nowhere to escape to.Â
âdirty fucking girl.â he snarls. âIâll give you my cumâ donât worry princess, itâs all yours.â he says before groaning and stilling inside you. you feel the warmth fill you and grin, knowing that it is where itâs supposed to be. he turns your head and kisses you with fervor before pulling you back and sitting you on his lap. you lay your head on his chest, catching your breath and basking in the feeling of being in his arms once again.Â
...
âso, are you really on probation?â you ask, rubbing your thumb in circles over one of the tattoos on his chest.
âyeah, I told you, i go crazy when it comes to you. after our argument i went out and got into a fight with the first person who was stupid enough to respond to my antagonizing. got caught kicking the shit out of him because I was so in my head. donât fucking leave me again, I donât think iâd survive the next one. well, i might, but the next guy I fight probably wouldnât.â

has Older!Harry ever had to work later than he thought, maybe running into plans he had with pretty girl?
wordcount: 3k+
âââââ
"What do you think, H?"Â
(Y/N) twirled in front of where Harry sat on his couch, showing off the new dress he had pushed her into rewarding herself with (with his credit card, of course) after getting through midterms. He'd seen the photos online, but she wanted him to get a look at the real thingâsee if he liked it on her as much as he said he would.Â
Looking up from his phone, he gave her a bright smile. "Sweetheart," he crooned, appraising her with an adoring gaze, "Y'lookâ"Â
His phone buzzed in his hand, the disturbance cutting him off as he was forced to glance down at the device. His features posed into something grim with a set line on his jaw and pursed lips.Â
"What is it?" (Y/N) asked, fiddling with her nails with her purse hanging from her wrist. He'd been attached to his phone since he'd come over to pick her up, constantly going back and forth between doling out his attention to her before being taken away by his phone.Â
He shook his head much like he had done every other time (Y/N) had asked what had been going on. "Jus' something at the officeâtrying to figure out what happened."Â
"Is it bad?" she asked, sinking into the couch next to him in hopes of skimming a glance at his screen.Â
"A little, if it is what I think it is," he murmured distractedly, scrolling through a report (Y/N) had no hopes of recognizing.Â
Quietly, she watched as he tapped away, aware of the time ticking down towards their reservations. "Do you think you'll be done before we need to leave?"Â
Seemingly suddenly realizing the time, he heaved a sigh. "I hope."Â
Just as the words left his mouth, an incoming call colored his screen.Â
"Hold on," he told her, rising from his seat with his phone in a tight grip, "If 'm not off the phone by the time we need to leave, come and get me, 'kay?"Â
As soon as she gave a nod, Harry had his phone pressed to his ear and was heading upstairs towards his office. His voice was rumbling and low, but she could hear the curt tone even from where she sat. She watched as he disappeared up the staircase before pulling her own phone out. She'd give him ten minutes, she decidedâit would be cutting it close to the reservation, but she didn't want to stress him out any more than he obviously already was.Â
âââââ
(Y/N)'s lips thinned as she watched the time tick off one more minute.
6:45pm.Â
Harry had been tucked away upstairs for the full of the ten minute timer she had set for him. She hoped the problem wasn't as bad as he had feared, but she had a feeling it was that or much worse. He hated being late for any kind of appointment, so she doubted he had just lost track of time while working.Â
Rising to her feet, joints popping from being folded up on his couch while she had waited, she started for the stairs. Her heels clicked over his floors, following her up the case and towards his office. Only a few paces away, she could hear him speaking behind the door. None of the words were clear, but it definitely wasn't a good sign to hear him still on the phone.
She quietly knocked on the door, pausing for a moment before pushing it open. Peering around the wood, she found Harry just as she figured she would: sat behind his desk, features pinched and sharp as he stared at his computer screen with his phone pressed to his ear.Â
He hadn't even noticed her peeking in, mumbling something to his associate with his eyes reflecting whatever he was scrolling through on his screen. Clearing her throat, (Y/N) finally gained Harry's attention.Â
His features quickly softened at the sight of her.Â
"H? Are you ready to go?" she peeped, hoping whoever was on the other end of the call couldn't hear her.Â
Lips thinning, he murmured an excuse to his call before pulling the phone away from his ear for a moment. With the receiver pressed to his shoulder, eyes speaking apologies before he'd even shared a word.
"Sweetheart," he started, the syllables floating on a sigh, "I can't leave, yet. 'S worse than I thought."Â
While she was sympathetic to whatever he was dealing withâHarry never liked to bring work home if he could help it, especially if it was problem based like thisâshe couldn't help the way her shoulders deflated some. "Will we still be able to make dinner? It's almost six."Â
Harry glanced at the time himself then, hesitating meeting her eyes once more. "I don't know, love. 'M so sorry, I really didn't think it was going to be this complicated."Â
"It's okay, it's okay," she waved him off, already creeping out of the room, "I'll call and see if they have anything later, but don't worry."Â
A sad smile wormed its way onto his lips, molding into the apples of his cheeks though the curl didn't meet his eyes. "Thank you, love."Â
After offering her own small smile, (Y/N) slipped out of the room with the door clicking behind her. Taking in a deep breath, she slipped her phone out of her bag before pulling up the restaurant's website. She had a feeling, just with how coveted their original reservation was, that there wouldn't be anything else available but she didn't feel like telling Harry that kind of news at the moment.Â
Taking in a sigh, (Y/N) started towards the stairs with her phone pressed to her ear.Â
"Thank you for calling Elio, how can I help you?"Â
"HiâumâI have a reservation in thirty minutes, but I was wondering if..."Â
âââââ
After shooting off a text to Harry that there wasn't anything else available fore the night, (Y/N) had resigned herself to a night on the couch. Even when he'd answered with a promise that he would figure something out as soon as he fixed whatever was going on, she hadn't bet on the possibility.Â
When it came to things like theseâproblems outside of his control, unanticipated mistakesâHarry had a hard time letting them go until they were back up to his standards. He wouldn't be able to relax enough to spend the night with her, she knew that. Instead she had only messaged him back that she'd be downstairs for him whenever he was ready with a heart emoji tacked on the end.Â
That was how she found herself tucked into the cushions of his couch, shoes kicked off under the coffee table, and a fluffy blanket over her lap with one of her reality TV shows on screen. She wasn't paying much attention to the scenes, the episode one she had already seen, instead poking at her phone for entertainment.Â
As the time ticked on, closer and closer to Harry having been stuck working for over an hour, part of her wanted to head upstairs and see if she could pry him away. If he finished soon, they could still at least go out somewhere, keeping her dress and makeup from going to waste. But, she could still hear his rumbling voice at times carrying through the wallsâhe was still stuck on the phone. She could only imagine the kind of stress he was feeling if he was still stuck on the same problem almost an hour later.
Curled on his couch, (Y/N) almost winced when her stomach growled. She had kept herself from snacking after class, knowing she was going to want to have all the room possible for the immaculate dinner Harry had planned. Now, with the time ticking well past their reservations, she was feeling the consequences of her abstinence.Â
Though she wasn't particularly keen on the idea of padding upstairs and asking Harry if he would be okay with some takeaway for the night, there wasn't much else she could do. (Harry had been teaching her as much as he could when it came to the kitchen, but that didn't mean that she was particularly good yet). Especially after she had made the choice to indulge in watching too many sushi videos that popped up on her social mediaâshe doubted she could wait for Harry to finish up before scampering off for dinner.
Moving upstairs, (Y/N) paused outside of Harry's office, her ear keen to the door in hopes of finding a good time to pop in. Though she wasn't encouraged at the stretching silence on the other side, there wasn't much of a better time, she decided when she finally knocked on the door. A responding grumble came from the other side.
Peeking inside, he didn't look much different than when she had seen him last. Now, his sleeves were rolled to his elbows and his hair mussed, but that pinch between his brows lingered with his jaw in a strong set. He looked tired this time when he glanced up at her, the fan of his lashes becoming a drooping frame around his eyes.Â
"Sorry," she started, keeping her voice low at the sight of his phone still pressed to his ear, "Um, I was thinking about ordering dinner, if that's alright with you?"Â
He took a moment, pulling his phone from his ear, poking at the mute button before clearing his throat. "Are y'sure? If I finish soon, I can still take y'out," he told her, voice softer than what she was sure he was sharing on the phone.Â
"It's almost eight-thirty, H," (Y/N) gently reminded him, resting her head on the doorjamb as she gazed at him, "I'm sure you're hungry, too."Â
He seemingly suddenly realized there were other things going on than the emails and clients he was dealing with. He deflated after taking in a deep breath. "Right. 'M sorry, (Y/N), really."
"No, it's okay, don't worry. I underâ"Â
"Mr. Styles, Dean has the group scheduled for a conference call in the morning, but isâ"Â
"Michael," Harry said, pulling the phone to his ear with the speaker off and mute unselected, "'M going to have to call you back."Â
(Y/N) was taken aback at his sudden suggestion, though she continued listening from where she stood at the threshold. She hoped he wasn't ending the call on her account.Â
"Ten minutes, and I'll call y'back. Can y'handle that, or do I need to keep holding your hand?"Â
Maybe it was a bit harsh, but (Y/N) had to hold back her laughter with her hand stamped over her mouth. It wasn't like her boyfriend at all to snap at anyone, including his colleagues, but she couldn't Balme him after being corralled in his office for over an hour. The man on the other endâMicheaelâmust have stood down seeing as Harry hung up the call with nothing else to share.Â
Plopping the device face down on his desk, Harry pulled in a sigh before fixing his eyes to (Y/N) once more. "C'mere, pretty girl."Â
His open arms were an offer as she padded across his office. He collected her against his chest once she had rounded his desk, pulling her as close as he could with her folded in his lap.Â
"'M sorry," he murmured, voice low in her ear as she settled her chin on his shoulder with her arms looped around his middle, "I didn't mean to ruin the night, sweetheart."Â
"It's not your fault," she reminded him, "And nothing is ruined. Sometimes things like this happen. I'm not mad."Â
He pulsed his arms around her, tightening his hug with a kiss pressed to the side of her head. "You're too good to me, love. Thank you."Â
Drawing away, (Y/N) shifted until she had his cheeks cradled in her hands. Thumbing at his cheekbones, she attempted to draw a smile out of his solemn features when she squished his cheeks with his lips forced into a puffy pout. Her responding laughter was enough to have him straining against her hands with his own attempting smile.Â
"You know I'm never upset to stay home," she told him, leaning forward to peck a kiss to his puckered lips, "It's okay, H."Â
"Promise?" he mushed out, words muffled against her squish.Â
"Promise," she resounded, giving him another kiss before releasing his cheeks, "I think I'm going to order Chinese, so just come down whenever you're done and it'll be waiting."Â
His arms were a cradle around her, one that kept her locked on his lap as he pressed forward and gave her a lingering kiss. "I love you, you know that?"Â
"I do," she answered, smiling into his kiss, "I love you, too."Â
Though he opened his mouth, prepping to say more, his phone began to buzz on his desk once more. (Y/N) could feel the way he deflated in response, hesitant to answer the call.Â
Untangling herself from his lap, she gave him a soft smile. "Finish whatever you need to do, okay? I'll be downstairs whenever you're done."Â
His apology was clear on his face without a single word having to be shared. "I'll be fast," he vowed.Â
"I know."Â
With that, Harry pressed the phone to his ear with a sharp greeting while (Y/N) scurried out of his office. Though she was still tired and hungry, she felt better after getting a chance to talk to him. She doubted he would finish up as fast as he wanted, but she hoped he understood there was no pressure to be felt on her end.Â
Chinese food kept perfectly well, anyway.
âââââ
"Goodnight, Micheal. Have a nice weekend."Â
Harry didn't wait for a send off on the other end, hanging up on his coworker as soon as the words left his mouth. He'd heard enough of Micheal's voice to last a lifetime, especially after finding out that this entire mixup was nothing more than a paperwork error he hadn't properly checked the first time. Nonetheless, Harry was just happy to no longer be glued to his phone with his laptop lid shut for the foreseeable future.Â
He dreaded to look at the time on his phone, but knew he had no choice.Â
10:16pm.Â
Sighing at the sight, he pocketed his phone with his joints cracking as he stood from his chair. (Y/N) had been quiet for a while now, no more padding around coming from the floor below for the better part of the last half hour.Â
She had been so understanding, letting him disappear and forcing them to cancel their dinner plans only for her to give soft condolences and sweet kisses in response. He hoped she hadn't fallen asleep before he could make it up to her as much as he could.Â
Making his way downstairs, the streaming service she had pulled up on his television was paused on one of her favorite shows, the program asking if she was still watching. The coffee table was set up with Chinese takeaway containers, everything clean and sectioned away with his own servings still packaged and warm. He knew what he would find when he peered over the back of the couch, but he still felt a bit of guilt when he saw her wrapped up in a too-small throw blanket on her body and a too-stiff decorative pillow under her head.Â
Her hair was clean of every pin she'd used to style it, her dress replaced with comfortable pajamas, and face clean and shining in the low light. She was asleep, her breath coming in small puffs with each line and plane of her features left relaxed.Â
He didn't even tell her goodnight.Â
Petting his hand over her temple to push stray baby hairs out of her face, he allowed his fingertips to linger over her skin. The warmth of her was enough to thaw the strain he hadn't realized he was still carrying in his muscles.Â
This would never get old, he decided. The evidence of her around his home was enough to get his heart kicking against his ribs, but to find her on his couch after a long night was something he hadn't realized he craved until he met her. Though he would prefer to have had more time with her, the stress of the night seemed worth it when he came downstairs to see this.Â
If not for the fact he was just as hungry as (Y/N) had guessed by the amount of containers she left out for him, he would have tucked in beside her and slept off the stress. Instead, he settled for kicking off his shoes and heading for the linen closet for a warmer blanket to spread across her form.Â
With (Y/N) snuggled under the fleece, he settled himself on the floor beside her. Though it wasn't a show he enjoyed watching without her commentary, Harry still pressed play on the episode she had left off on. He kept the volume low, reaching for the chopsticks that had come with the delivery.Â
Twirling a bite of lo mein on the sticks, Harry hesitated before that first bite despite his gnawing stomach. Maybe it was the fact he couldn't get her soft face out of his head the last time she'd come to his office, or the way she had arranged all of his favorites out for him to pick through by the time he came downstairs, but it didn't feel right to have his dinner without her.Â
There was no way he was going to wake her up, but that didn't stop him from reaching for the hand she had sticking out from under the blanket. Though it wasn't a particularly comfortable angle, he laced his fingers between hers. His chest warmed when she seemingly recognized his touch, reciprocating his hold as best she could in her sleep before snuggling the back of his hand to her cheek.Â
Despite the cooling food in front of him, Harry let his eyes linger on the peaceful set of her features and the way she clung to his hand. A small smile thumbed a dimple into his cheek.Â
He'd still be making it up to her tomorrow, but tonight hadn't turned out too bad.Â

namgyu smut..? perchance..?
ABSOLUTELY!! omg i should start writing for other characters too like where is the diversity :/ nam gyus so fine but his character rlly pissed me off but i hope you like the fic!!
Whine n' dine

Pairings: namgyu x fem!reader
Tw: oral (f receiving), language. 18+ minors dni.
During the second game; six legged pentathlon, you had formed alliances with thanos and his group. Solely because there were no other people that took you in, all of them told you off because you were a woman. After the game you started hanging around them more and stuck with them. They were a bunch of pussies who needed to pop pills just to overcome the fear. You knew they'd carry you throughout all the games and thats why you relied on them. Though you hated how they treated the people around them you had to stick with them, for your own safety. Thanos would just be in his own world whereas nam gyu would be occupied being a lap dog for thanos and manipulating min su into voting O. You noticed nam gyus behaviour towards you though, he was always so mean to you but he still kept you close at all times. Everytime you'd go wandering off, he'd follow you around, brushing it off with a "just making sure you don't get lose around here dumbass."
He claimed the bed right next to yours as his, always sleeping on his side facing you. You didn't think much of it, thinking he was just keeping an eye on each move of yours so he's sure you dont betray them. At times you'd hear thanos taunting nam gyu by your name and nam gyu always getting flustered and elbowing thanos when he notices you heard him. He's tried to feed you one of those weird pills they take but you'd always refuse and so would thanos. Thanos always said "dude i don't got enough for the 3 of us!" of course he wasn't willing to share his coping mechanism. You found yourself hanging out around min su more than any other person from the group cause he was the sanest one there. You'd notice nam gyu shooting glares to min su everytime you were talking to him. And of course, min su would cower under his presence. When you continued clinging to min su, you noticed nam gyu acting meaner to min su, always tormenting him whenever he was given the chance to. Everytime you stuck up for him, he'd glare at you without saying a word, which was weird because when you first met, he cussed you out every hour of the day.
After the third game, you decided you were going to vote X. The money had gone up and it was enough to pay off your debts. Yes, it was selfish of you as other people still needed more to pay off theirs, but they were also somewhat selfish for willing to risk the lives of other people who still had so much to live for. You saw thanos and nam gyu eagerly trying to convince min su into voting O. You noticed how pushy nam gyu was being but you didn't bother interfering. You walked up to the voting box, and pressed the button X. Ripping off your bloody O patch and replacing it with the X. The X team cheered as it was now coming to a tie. You saw nam gyu from the O crowd staring you down, you just looked the other way.
It was meal time and you sat down on your bunk on the X side, finishing up your meal as nam gyu came stomped towards you. He hovered over you with a disdained look on his face "you're one selfish bitch you know that? Running away now that you have enough money to pay off your debt." He said through gritted teeth. You just narrowed your eyes at him "and? People like you are the reason so many people are dying in here" you scoffed. "So what? Theyre roaches, why pussy out now? Even if they do get out, some of them would still be in debt. It doesn't change a thing." His words dripped with fury, his temper tipping to the brink. You glared at him before getting up "shut the fuck up and go sit down somewhere" you mumbled under your breath before heading to the bathroom.
Lights out was in 30 seconds, you started setting your bed, dusting off the pillows and blankets. After the lights went off, you got into bed and pulled the blanket over you. You tossed and turned, trying to sleep as horrific memories flooded your head, the way people screamed and ran and begged for their lifes before getting put out their misery haunted you. The faces, the bodies, the blood on the ground knowing you could end up as one of them if the O team wins to vote tomorrow. Your eyes got heavier as your thoughts started getting blurry, you were drifting off to sleep before you felt someone standing behind you. Your body tensed as you tried to gather the courage to turn around, and when you finally did you saw nam gyu standing infront of you. You sat up and looked around, you'd be lying if you said you weren't scared to death right now. The red light illuminated his face, giving you a clear vision of his bitter expression. "What the fuck do you want?" You whsipered loud enough for him to hear. "I want to make you change your mind, princess." He said as he kneeled down to your level.
Your body reacted weirdly to the nickname, your panties getting uncomfortably sticky to your core. "W-what?! What're you doin-" you were cut off as he covered your mouth with his. Devouring your mouth, the kiss was fueled with hunger. His tongue invaded your mouth and for some reason, you couldn't help but kiss back. He pulled away chuckling before crawling onto your bed. He pushed you against the pillow as he began kissing you again, his body pressed against yours. You wrapped your hands around his neck, pulling him in closer if it was even possible. He pulled away, his eyes filled with lust as he began kissing down your neck. Biting and nipping at the soft skin, leaving evident marks. He sunk his teeth into the tender skin of your neck, making you wince. You tugged at his long black hair, tilting your head in an angle that gave him better access to your neck. You hated yourself for craving more.
He pulled away, licking his lips "spread." He said in a demanding tone. Your spread your legs wide as he lowered himself, his mouth leveled to your crotch. He smirked as he pulled down your pants, watching you suck air in through your teeth as the cold air hit your naked pussy. He wasted no time diving in, making out with your needy wet cunt hungrily. His tongue flicked at your sensitive clit, gaining a whimper from you. You tried supressing the continuous moans that were pulled out of you by slapping a hand over your mouth. He ran his tongue up and down your slit before shoving his tongue into your folds, his nose nudging your clit. You grabbed a fistful of his hair, your muffled moans filling the air as he ate you out like a man starved since the dinosaurs. He grabbed your thighs as they were closing in on him, trapping his head between your legs. He kept licking and sucking at your clit eating you out like a full course meal until you could feel yourself getting closer. " 'm gonna cum!" You almost screamed and you felt him grin against your pussy. He started eating you out faster and harder, eager to make you cum. After a few flicks, you came undone on his tongue. Your body twitched and shook as you panted. He lapped at all your juices before getting up and wiping his mouth with his sleeve. A satisfied smirk tugged at his lips as he admired your shaking form.
"You know how to thank me doll, vote O tomorrow, got it?"

(for your recent post)
hmmm how about mal and reader were having an argument or sumn then he's like " hmph let's not talk to each other for now >:( " so you grant him some space/or silent treatment and mal is like dramatically waiting for u to talk to him for HOURS in his room just brooding there and when he realize you're still ignoring him, he's like a pathetic sad wet cat needy for ur attention now bcs he couldn't stand being apart from u.
im sorry for the basic ass idea lol đ im just a sucker for silent treatment scenarios like this

malleus x gn! reader
a/n: written as romantic -> FOAMING AT THE MOUTH, IM A SUCKER FOR THESE TOO đđ hope i did this justice
.
one of the many things malleus adores about you is your stubbornness. the way you don't back down against what you think is wrong is something that will always set him ablaze with admiration for you.
though he doesn't quite like it when that pride is directed at him.
he's realizing this now when scornful words are spat between the two of you in the living room of ramshackle. clouds and lighting are beginning to gather as a response to his irritation and annoyance. he doesn't even know what this silly argument was even about or why it started in the first place, and unfortunately, malleus can be just as stubborn as can be.
"since you insist on being childish, i think it's best for us to not talk for a while," he isn't even looking at you as he says this, so when he disappears into pretty green firelights, he misses the hurt expression on your face as he leaves.
this is stupid, you think, but you bite your lip in worry as you walk upstairs and lay in bed, grim beside you snoring away. you said things you didn't mean so perhaps it's best to give him space, though how long that will go on is unknown to you since your lovely dragon is a fae with a rather skewed perception of time... whatever, he knows where to find you as soon as he decides he's comfortable enough to talk this out.
unbeknownst to you, malleus is now brooding in his room, lying face down on his pillow. the clouds around nrc have gotten worse, static brushing against the air as he waits for a phone call from you. preferably a sincere apology since he obviously deserves it after the things you've said.
...
well, he supposes it wasn't entirely your fault. he uttered words all to anger you as you did him, though none of them were true. you weren't childish, the opposite in fact-- having to take care of that first-year duo and that cat you're always hanging out with, taking precious time away when you could be stroking his hair and kissing his hands and petting his horns. as you do.
that's another thing he likes about you. even if you don't spend as much time together as he'd like, what you do to him is more than enough to compensate. you know he likes being kissed on the neck, you know he loves it when you take of his gloves and hold his hands, you know he loves when you lightly blow on his ear. you always look so happy when you do it too-- like seeing him smile makes you-
wait, isn't he supposed to be angry at you? he humphs and pouts when he realizes you still haven't called. he turns his head, eyebrows crossed and he stares at the phone on his desk. the only reason he learned how to use a phone was so you could contact him and send him texts and "memes" like you do with the rest of your friends.
he considers going to you himself but immediately shoves the idea away. he's still mad at you after all.
...
...
...
...
the clouds start pouring rain.
it isn't even the raging, storming kind-- the ones with howling winds and thunderous claps of lightning that illuminate the very sky. it's sad and cold that heavily drops on your already straining roof. your dampened mood worsens and you decide to get out of bed and make a hot drink to help you sleep.
you briefly glance at the alarm on your bedside table and see that it's 2:31 a.m., way too early to do anything at all.
just as you reach the bottom of the stairs, you hear 3 heavy knocks at the front door. any normal person would panic and call a friend for help, but your friends ace are usually the ones getting kicked out, so you figure something similar happened.
imagine your surprise when you see your boyfriend in all his 202 cm glory. his hair sticks to his face in an unfairly handsome way considering he's absolutely soaked, and somehow the look accentuates the pretty green hue of his eyes that have only ever looked at you like you were everything and more, even when he's angry at you.
...did he walk here?
you continue staring at him for a while and your realize that while your lover is incredibly beautiful- so much so the word beautiful could never begin to describe him- he is also very. pathetic. if only people knew how much of a wet cat he was. he even bumps his nose against yours as an act of affection sometimes.
and that fact is ever prominent right now. his arms are crosses and his lips are jutted in a cute pout, refusing to say a word.
"..."
"..."
"..."
you don't know what to do exactly, considering there isn't a manual for 'what to do when your draconic boyfriend stands outside your front door in the soaking rain while he remains completely silent', so you slowly turn and walk through ramshackle's living room and into your dainty little kitchen.
heavy footsteps follow close behind you, followed by a light thud of a closing door and the muffling of the rain. malleus continues to follow you when you boil enough water for two, when you take out your tea bags (gifted by kalim) and seep it into the water. you take the occasional glance here and there, wondering if you should speak before ultimately deciding against it. maybe he doesn't want to talk right now.
he sits closely next to you- so close your knees touch when you rest yourself on one of the seats against the table. your fingertips briefly touch when you pass him the newly brewed tea and it's almost like he wants to reach out to hold your hand, but he pulls away at the last second.
from there, you sit in silence. the heat of the mug spreads from your cold fingertips and you warm up as you drink your tea. already, your becoming tired. you look at mal once more and he still has that adorable pout on his face, but his eyebrows aren't as furrowed as before. usually, you'd gladly offer a cuddle during a rainy night, but tonight's been strange.
so when you try to leave your seat, a hand suddenly stops you. it's the first time he's looked you in the eyes the entire night and good god it's cute, lame and pitiful all at the same time. truly, a stray kitty in a box out in the rain begging for attention. his eyes look up at you in the saddest way possible and you swear you see a wet sheen-- and that damn pout that's going to be the fucking death of you one day is still there.
"i'm sorry," he mutters, and he shifts from one hand holding yours to two. "i can't stand being apart from you." the apology is blunt, honest and sincere, just like him.
you gently lift the hand he wasn't holding to his cheek and he nuzzles into it, closing his eyes as he enjoys your petting. something deep rumbles in his chest and you realize he's purring again.
"m' sorry too, mal. shouldn't have said what i said."
almost immediately, the heavy rain lessens before quickly coming to a stop. there's a smile on his face and the all-too-familiar, tell-tale blush on his cheeks. you place your finger under his chin and tilt his head before kissing him softly. he's dormant and still, like he's afraid of breaking this moment, but he tightens his grip on your hand like he's afraid you'll leave.
malleus chases your lips in hopes for more when you pull away all too soon. he's staring at you with a look as sweet and delicate as spun sugar.
"let's go to bed, mal."
he chuckles like he always does. "if you insist, my love." like he wasn't waiting, hoping you ask him.

Your Masterminds, Whit Young, and Ace Markey! (mm! whace au)
(Spoilers lol)
what normal fellas ahahahahaha (I have poured my entire soul into these two there is nothing left of me)
A basic summary of their relationship:
Whit has spent like, over a year manipulating Ace into being complacent in his plans. In his own eyes, Ace is a sorta-stupid lacky, who he's constantly love-bombing to keep obedient. Although, he is a bit glad for the company... it was sorta empty when Ace was "dead" and they couldn't really talk. And maybe Ace almost dying from his fake execution was a bit disturbing. But he's sure its nothing! (He fell in love with him like a moron.)
Ace has fully fallen in love with Whit. He's not happy about it, but it happened. As a result, he's basically ruined any semblance of his own morality, just so he doesn't lose Whit, or the affection he knows is mostly performative. He's more than happy to kill his fuck-face classmates, after a... bit of prodding, and honestly, he'd do anything Whit asked at this point, even die. He'll still complain about it, though.
i tried to be as original as humanly possible, but I'm def giving credit to @talkativeanonymous, @acethehorseishere, and @a-blog-for-kat all for inspiring these two in one way or another (esp. a-blog-for-kat lol).
anyway there's the art, here's the promised lore. warning for like a million words. I'm serious. It's 1,400 words. you can stop here i don't blame you.
also sorry for the odd looking bullet points, didn't realize you couldn't have gaps lol!
This au operates on a probably un-canon assumption that I pulled out of my ass. That is that Mai Akasaki is both a student in the class of 27, and that she is the "time loop" student. She is usually a part of the killing game, but she isn't this time, for reasons I'll explain in a sec.
This specific loop, Mai is attempting to dissuade the (usual) mastermind from wanting to start a killing game in the first place. That mastermind is Whit Young.
She goes about this by trying to curb Whit's main reason for his descent into despair, his resounding loneliness, by giving him championship. Charles hasn't softened up to the others in any regard yet. But that wasn't the main reason, unbenouced to Mai.
In this loop, and this loop alone, Mai sets Whit and Ace up to be friends. She hopes they can help each other, since they usually end up more or less alone in their school life.
Surprisingly, it works. They get along decently well, although a codependency starts to develop on Ace's side.
Around this time, Whit takes up an internship at XF Future, which Mai doesn't realize. He innocently wants to explore other job options, "Matchmaking" not really being a stable career forever.
Obviously FX Future isn't a normal Tech Company. Whit starts to change, in a barely noticeable fashion, the longer he works there.
Ace notices Whit's contacts start looking a lot more vibrant after Whit takes a couple weeks off school for a "company trip." He thinks it's... sort of pretty.
(Whit's time at XF Future showed him a side of humanity he didn't realize existed. Insane levels of greed, using the concepts of "ultimates" to guide a stupid pubic where the Government wanted them, generally a dystopia. It feeds into his existing detachment from humanity, until he hits a breaking point, setting his sights on ending the "Ultimates" concept by killing the newest class in the public eye, including himself.)
(XF Future develops a new sort of technology, prosthetic "eyes" that basically turn you into a living remote control, able to connect to an entire building if its connected via a computer system. Security cameras, doors, fucking air conditioning- everything.
(Whit offers himself as the test dummy, and it goes perfectly.)
Anyway, Mai decides to talk to Ace, since she's starting to realize he's becoming a bit... softer after hanging out with Whit so much? And hopes like, for once, he'll actually accept help for his mountain of problems.
He doesn't take this conversation very well.
Mai, with knowledge from dozens of loops, accidentally brings up an extremely traumatic event, simply mentioning the name "Tyler" once.
In a blinding mix of rage and horror at Mai's knowledge of the event, that Ace has literally never even spoken about in this timeline, Ace shoves her away from him.
She falls backwards, and splits her head on a desk, killing her instantly.
Ace, in a horrified frenzy, calls Whit, literally his only friend.
Whit shows up. Ace expects him to freak the fuck out, call the cops, or something like that... But he doesn't.
Whit simply tells him they were going to hide the body together, not even remotely caring about Mai's death.
yeah that's a little fucking weird, and its terrifying, but going to jail is scarier sooo Ace goes along with it!
After this, Whit wraps Ace into uncharacteristically cruel pranks against some of their classmates and others at Hopes Peak, oftentimes resulting in physical injury.
He acts like these are completely normal and funny, while Ace is both freaked out by it, and sort of enjoys enacting pain on people he didn't like.
Along the way, Whit notices Ace starting to fall for him. Horrible news for Ace, since Whit plays into those emotions by becoming much more physically and emotionally affectionate. Which he doesn't enjoy, like, at all... not a bit...
Whit convinces Ace to assist him in greater and greater acts of violence until Whit just straight up kills someone (not a classmate, a stranger.)
Ace is of course tied into everything way too deep to stop now, and after all this... he doesn't really want to. So he stays as Whit's accomplice for months, up until Whit's weirdo behavior arrives at the idea of the killing game. He references the "First Killing Game", which Ace had never heard of.
The idea is a bit intense for Ace, but at that point, he didn't have anything beyond Whit. If it took this to stay with him... He'd do it. Even if in the end, they both were going to die.
So they get to work!
Ace had been taking engineering classes at Hope's Peak in hopes of getting out of jockeying, and he'd helped his family build sheds and shit since he was a kid, so he focused on the construction and executions.
Whit wired the building an all-encompassing computer system he could control, as well as stealing "Mono-TV" from XF Future, a robot he can fully control to be the "host" of the game.
He also steals the "mind wiping" technology from XF Future. It's weirdly easy to steal stuff from this company, hm? It's almost like they aren't protecting it...
Whit also uses another piece of experimental biological technology... on Ace.
A screen connected to his brain, a lottt less invasive than Whit's eye surgery. It doesn't impact Ace mentally, it just gives him the ability to produce visible projections for easy construction, communicate with Whit remotely, (and give Whit a way to always know what Ace's condition.)
The screen is unclipped when the game starts, but the brain implant is still connected to Whit, so he can detect Ace's condition.
After kidnapping the class of 27 and wiping their memories... It all starts. A killing game, streamed live to the entire nation.
Whit and Ace start off as a part of the class, interacting with the others like normal, a pretty decent show. Things go roughly as planned, putting everyone in the positions Whit wanted them. Untilll... chapter 2.
Ace gets his ass jumped, and almost dies prematurely. This is fine, Whit privately makes sure the wounds properly cleaned, but it does fill Whit with an... ominous feeling.
Ace still kills Arei, a part of the plan, and gets "executed", so he can more easily upkeep the executions and such behind the scenes.
After the screen playing the fake execution turns off, Whit checks to make sure Ace didn't get injured in his running around... but can't detect anything.
At all.
Ace's heart wasn't beating.
He actually, seriously, had a fucking heart attack.
(Ace's heart attack was for a combination of reasons. Firstly, his heart was actually in pretty bad condition as a result of his eating disorder, something Whit had figured was "over" by now. It wasn't!)
(Second, in that moment, the idea that maybe, just maybe, Whit could have been double-crossing him came to Ace. What if Whit loaded the guns? What if Ace's use was done, and Whit was finally getting rid of him? It was terrifying because he could die, and terrifying because... It'd make sense. It was all that ever happened to him.)
So he had a heart attackkk lameeeeee
This makes Whit tweak the fuck out, internally. (lol pretend his spooky ass sprite happens AFTER the execution, not before. shh its all made up its all pretend)
After Levi gets taken to the infirmary, Whit drops Charles off at his room as quickly as he can, then fucking BOLTS IT to a hidden passageway in his room to the like... Mastermind area, with the execution chamber.
Whit manages to resuscitate Ace in time, barely. And even after that, he's in pretty bad condition. But he's conscious and mobile.
Whit gets him as comfortable as he can, and after spending the night, he sort of... has to leave. He does some tweaks to Ace's brain screen thing, creating a functional heart monitor that Ace (and he) can watch.
As often as he can, Whit sneaks off to the Mastermind area at night to make sure Ace doesn't fucking die in his sleep. But Ace gets... decently better quickly, and returns to his duties overseeing the killing game.
Whit still visits almost every night to make sure Ace wakes up, which he can't really explain to himself. Ace was... supposed to be disposable anyway. Why would it matter if he died?
Anyway yeah the rest of the game happens. No clue there.
In the end, Whit and Ace come out as masterminds (happy pride).
I have a comic planned for how the end goes, soooo... that's it!
holy fuck! my fingers! hi the whole 2 people who made it down this far... uh... did you like my lore.....? do you want me dead now for having you read 1,400 words of two evil homsexuals...? đ
love you thank you im sorry.

Ok i said i would do itater, but this was done for my sister who got really hurt and wanted comfort out of my drabble, shout out to you @saltynsassy31 XD
This will probably be very OOC bc again, i am NOT too acquainted with these characters
So apologies in advance, but i think this will still be very entertaining for you :]
So yeah, here's part 2!
---
Jazz was tired, they haven't given him much time to rest since he came back. And even if they did, it's not like he could rest anyways, thinking about....about Prowl.
No way he could have just left him, right? After everything....it just didn't feel right, and the way they spoke to him about it too. Call him crazy but something in his gut told him they were hiding something from him. But it just never seemed enough to push him to look into it (oh how he would regret that for the rest of his life)
Today was supposed to be a normal routine check to the new mechas, with new recruits coming in for him to teach.
Jazz was given a new mecha suit, despite his protests to it (which surprised even him honestly, but it just didn't feel right). He hadn't gotten the chance to see it yet, today was the day they would present the new model, though it was said to be in its early stages still.
...
He doesn't know how it happened, how he'd gotten here, but all he knew was that he had seen red. When he gotten to see his new mech suit, it seemed oddly familiar in touch, in fact something about it made him feel sick to his stomach.
Small dents and scarring coated the plating around the panels that opened to the cockpit. He recognised that plating, from crawling on it with his magnets, sleeping on them comfortably despite being made of metal (there was something so warm about it, but that warmth was....lost. He wanted to puke). But what broke the string holding him together, a scar, a scar so familiar it sent him back to the exact moment he witnessed his partner getting it in the first place.
Jazz had weilded that shut himself, they had gotten in a bad scuffle a while back, and with worry he wanted to try and make sure Prowl wouldn't be in too much pain before they could get some proper help.
"Jazz?" Someone called out to him. That was the last thing he remembered.
Now? Now he stood by the halls in which they didn't allow the likes of him inside, the halls in which the scientists worked on. He made a fast dash to the last room, the room one of the scientists told him had the one he was looking for (though he wasn't proud to admit he had perhaps aggressively gotten that answer out of the poor guy). He had a weird unknown blaster weapon with him that he had ripped from the mech suit he was supposed to try out (deep down, he hoped that weapon didn't belong to Prowl. He hoped that he wasn't too late), using that, he blasted the door open hoping that would keep anyone from stopping him from getting inside.
As soon as Jazz layed his eyes on the scene before him; his partner hanging from wires holding him into place, chain keeping him from leaving, mutilated almost beyong recognition save his face, and with a small weak staticked cry from his partner, "Jazz?" the small bit of awarness he had gained back was gone again. All he could do in that moment was to yell, a desperate cry that came from the pits of his lungs.
"GET AWAY FROM MY PARTNER!"
And in another flurry of motions he didnât have complete control over, he was beating the ever living hell out of the prick who decided it was a good idea to mess with HIS partner! He didnât even know how long he had been at it until the twisted man he called a boss scratched his face, small bits of blood flowing out. In shock and pain, he grabbed the man by the neck of his shirt and threw him to the otherside of the room. Once he was certain that he wouldn't be getting up again, he turned to face Prowl once more, running and calling out to him as he ran to scoop up his beloved's face, blurting out a mess of an apology.
"I'm so sorry, i shouldn't have brought you here- we, we need to get you out-"
Oh did the guilt eat him up from the inside, he- he shouldn't have brought him here. Prowl probably hated him right now, but the sudden distant bell of an alarm down the halls had him scrambling to his feet to try and make things right.
Suddenly, as adrenaline slowly faded off, he realised how much damage he had actually taken throughout his rampage, a limp on his left leg catching up to him. Stinging pain on his face and limbs, but he needed to keep moving, they weren't safe yet.
"I have to get you to a safe place," he mumbled, mostly to himself, "and- and then maybe call for help. Oh but who could i even go to?" As he spoke, he started to set Prowl's limbs free from it's chains, gods they were so damaged, he could barely look at the missing parts. But as he worked his way through, he let out small sighs of relief to see that at least, he seemed to not be missing some vital parts. He could still maybe make a run for it, if only he could stall the facility long enough-
"You really shouldn't have...."
Jazz turned in shock, Prowl's voice snapping him out of his panicked haze.
"Prowl..." if he wasnât crying already, now he certainly was. Gods he fucked up badly.
Not having the courage to face the other just yet, he turned back to the chained leg he had been working on. Prowl didn't seem to have wanted an answer either way, sitting up as he watched the organic do his work (Jazz tried to ignore the missing arm).
As he finished getting rid of the chain, he got up again, letting out a hiss of pain from his injuries (which did not go unnoticed by the mech). Clutching his left side as a bleeding cut let out a terrible stinging sensation which he doesn't think he'll ever get used to, he walked over to the final limb stuck under chains. As he walked over, he briefed over the quick plan he thought of
"Look, i- i know you might not trust me right now-" a huff, almost soundling like a disbeliefing chuckle, was heard from the mech, Jazz ignored it. "But there is a place you can go to and hide, hide- hide until maybe i can get help or- or find a way to send you back-"
"You wouldn't make it that far." Prowl spoke, matter of factly, which got a hit under Jazz's skin
"I know that! Which is why you will make a run for it. There's an exit by the other side of this room where you can leave-"
A sudden realisation hit Prowl. Jazz wasn't planning on coming with him.
And the human nodded, seeming to understand that Prowl finally got what he was saying. As he reached the last final screw to Prowl's chains, he finished off what he was trying to say "I'll keep them busy long enough for you to leave," before he could finish, as the final screw was let lose and Prowl was free to move, he felt himself be lift up from the ground and let out a startled yelp. "Wha- HEY!"
It took Jazz being shoved inside Prowl's cockpit for him to realise that he had been picked up by the mech (maybe a possible concussion he thought to himself). Jazz couldn't even try to jump out as, despite it missing the plating to shut him inside, Prowl placed his servo up to close to exit.
Desperately and confused, Jazz called out, "What are you doing?!"
To be entirely honest, Prowl wasn't sure himself, he was just as confused as the human to his actions, usually so full of logic. This one was acted apon pure emotion. Emotion of fear, anxiety, anger but most importantly
Desperation
Because somehow, this stupid human had his spark between his fingers, and he'd be dammed if he let him get himself killed just for him.
This isn't how he would want to say goodbye
---
Thanks again, to my sister who pushed me to write this, and also helped out in some parts!
Might have done more if i could, but it's super late rn lol (it's 4am and our mon will kills us for staying up this late).
Again sorry for any OOC moments, but i hope this was to your enjoyment! Maybe i can do a part 3 to this, but idk enough about how things work to do that, so i let anyone be free to mess around with this :]
Oh my... oh fuck I can't. I just keep thinking about Prowl pressing his palm on his chest even when other humans eventually get to him and start shooting. He's a mess, half of his armor is missing he's probably leaving an energon trail behind him. But he knows that while it would take a lot of bullets to take him down, it would take only one lucky bullet to kill Jazz. I'm. AUGh

A Mistake (Ging x Gon's Mom)
Chapter One: The Before
Synopsis: There was only ever one thing Ging regretted in his life, and that was what happened with you. You didn't think you had it in yourself to forgive what he did. Yet despite it all, you always end up finding your way back to each other.

It wasn't well known you'd ever had a husband. Just like it wasn't well known he'd ever had a wife. Only people in your closet circle knew about it. And even then, fewer knew you had a kid with him. It wasn't your doing, God no. If things had gone your way, your family wouldn't have been broken up. But as fate would have it, things were always complicated when it came to Ging.
â------------------------------
The two of you had grown up on Whale Island together. You were the only other kid besides Mito around. Yet despite that, you and Ging were never really friends. In fact, to most it looked like you hated each other. To a certain extent, you did.
Ging was standoff-ish, even as a kid. He never wanted you or Mito to hang around him. Often shooing the two of you away. His dismissive attitude sparking your hostility towards him. If he'd climb a mountain, you'd climb it in half the time. If he caught a monster in a lake, you'd catch two.Â
Ging noticed your attempts to one up him, striving to get under your skin just a little more. If you discovered a new plant on the island, he'd undermine it with an even bigger discovery. If you made friends with some of the crew from a visiting ship, he'd connect with the captain.
Everything you two did was to spite the other.Â
But somehow you'd ended up together anyway.Â

Another letter had come in. Just in time for Gonâs 12th birthday. It was signed with your signature. Mito eyed it with dread. A sinking feeling in her stomach. Sooner or later, she'd have to give them to him. She promised you, after all. But what if he decided he didn't want her as his mom anymore? Wanting instead to chase after you like his father. How would he react knowing his real mother wanted to see him all this time?
With a heavy sigh, she stored it away with the others. The sound of knocking quickly catching her attention. And when she saw it was Gon on the other side, her worries temporarily melted away. He'd brought a friend this time. âTheyâll probably be out the whole day,â she thought with a fond smile.
With that in mind, she quickly put both boys to work. Making sure they were all cleaned up before letting them explore the island. Yet something unexpected had happened. Gon presented her with his own hunter license. The very same her cousin had gotten. The type you'd gotten.
She tried not to let her dismay show. Playfully bending the license, though she knew it was practically indestructible. A part of her still hoping it would tear. These things had taken enough of her family. She returned it back at Gonâs protests. Laughing at his pouty expression.Â
One very reminiscent of yours.
Both boys left soon after they ate. All the while, Mito was eyeing the drawer she put your letters in. She knew it was time. Gon was an official pro hunter. There was nothing stopping her now from giving those letters, and yet⊠Yet she was still stalling.Â
She was stalling on giving out a few things. Ging's included. She tried to get rid of Gingâs box. Tried everything to destroy it. And when she couldn't, she gave up. But she never tried to get rid of your letters. Never anything that was yours.Â
It was getting late. The sun had barely finished setting. She decided she'd bring some food to the two boys. They must've been hungry being out for so long.Â
It must have been a natural talent in the family. To always be able to find the person they were searching for. You and Ging would always find her when she would hide away. And he'd always go out of his way to find you when you didn't want to be found. Here Mito was some decades later, somehow knowing just where Gon ended up.
The two boys were near the edge of a cliff. A small fire burning to keep them warm. She went to take a step forward, stopping when she heard one of them talk.Â
âYou never told me what your mom does.âÂ
She could hear Gon let out a heavy sigh. Unknowing his mother had fallen into the exact same occupation as him.Â
âIt's hard to ask about my dad, but asking about my mom's even harder,â he responded.
As much as Mito resented Ging, she loved you. She would have answered a thousand questions about you.
âIt's just that since Aunt Mito raised me all by herself, it feels weird yâknow? Like it's wrong or something.â Gon continued.
He was ashamed to ask about you? She never wanted him to be scared to ask her anything. Especially if it was about you.
âWhen I was little, Aunt Mito told me that both my parents died in a traffic accident. She thought if I learned my dad was alive and a hunter, that I might end up just like he did. SoâŠâ
âShe didn't know how right she was, huh?â His friend commented.
âWhen I found out about my dad, I dunno? I guess I kind of decided that if he was still alive somewhere, my mom must've been the one who died.â
Wrong. You were perfectly fine. And maybe a small part of her regretted telling that lie. But how could she possibly explain what happened? Tell him his dad had lost custody of him on purpose during court? That it was his fault his own mother couldn't get to see him?Â
âEver since then, I've thought of Aunt Mito as my mom. The only one I've got.â
She didn't know she was crying until her tears dripped down.Â
âSo there's nothing for me to ask. And I don't need to.â
Such a beautiful moment she was blessed with, and yet⊠it was tainted by guilt.Â
You'd wanted Gon.
You never wanted to give him up.
You tried to get him back.
It wasn't fair.
Not to you.
All she could think of was how badly Ging had fucked up.
She made a decision the next day. To finally tell him the truth about everything. And if he still didn't want to learn about you after, then truly she'd done everything she could. The only one to blame would be her idiot cousin.
She started off with the easier stuff. Things she knew Gon wanted answers to. That wouldn't hold as much weight to recount. Everything pertaining to Ging. That stupid box he left which she had no idea how to open. Stories of their childhood. How she was always chasing after him. How she yelled and fussed after him, only for him to essentially brush her off. How as much as she resented Ging for leaving, couldn't help but feel like things fell apart as soon as he was gone.
She left it at that for a while. Giving Gon time to process everything while she psyched herself up to talk about you. He'd gone back to his room with his friend, and Mito found herself back at the drawer that contained your letters. Twelve of them perfectly sealed and unopened. Her hands were shaking as she picked them up.Â
â----------------------------------
The two boys sat excitedly around the tape recorder, triumphant smiles at finally getting that damn box open. And as the tape started to play, Gon could feel his heart stop. Was that really what his dad sounded like? After all this time, it was Ging talking to him. Despite his crude words, Gon was brimming with fire. Wanting more than ever to find him now.Â
âAbout your mother-â
He shut off the tape just as Mito entered. She was clutching something close to her chest. A regretful expression on her face.
âWhat are those?â He questioned.
âI told you everything I knew about your father. It's only fair I tell you everything about your mother, too.â She explained.
And before Gon could protest, she finally handed over your letters.
âI don't even know where to begin, but make no mistake, she never wanted to give you up.â
He looked up at her in shock.
âMy mom's alive?â
Maybe it wouldn't have been enough by itself to make him care. But the letters in his hand and the way Mito spoke about you did.Â
âI promised her I would give these to you. She sent one for every birthday. I think that if you ever wrote her back, she'd waste no time responding.â It was said with a bittersweet smile.
If she'd given them sooner, you probably would have.
Gon opened the first letter, he and his friend skimming over the text.
To Gon,Â
Happy First Birthday!!!! (Or well, second, but I'll write that one after this.) I'm your mom, and although you can't read yet, let me tell you a little about myself. For starters, I'm a hunter. Just like your clown of a father and maybe someday you. No pressure, I'll be proud of you no matter what you become. Anyways- Iâm an underwater ruins hunter. I study civilizations lost to the sea, recover sunken vessels, and occasionally discover some pretty gnarly sea creatures. (Unwillingly if I might add.) I was born on Whale Island and spent most of my childhood there. When I was twelve, I left to take my own hunter exam. Now for the elephant in the roomâŠ. I'm obviously not there with you. I wish I could be. But I trust Mito will raise you well. For now, I'll be writing you every year. You don't have to respond, but just know I love you very much.
Your Mom, Y/n.
He didn't know what to expect. Surely not for you to be the complete opposite of Ging. You wanted to see him? You didn't expect him to be a hunter? You encouraged him to reach out to you?
With every letter he read, he became more fascinated. Your words were gentle, often telling him to chase his own dreams. Sometimes you'd write about what you did. Things you discovered and what you hoped to find next time. He thought he'd be okay without knowing anything about you. Perhaps Mito being the one to bring it up changed that.
âMy mom was a hunter too, huh? But she seems so different from Ging,â he commented, looking up when he finished the last letter.
Mito let out a drained sigh before speaking.Â
âI don't know exactly what happened between them, but I do know your dad did something to stop your mom from seeing you.â
A curse, she thinks you called it.Â
âShe asked me to take care of you. I would have done it anyway, but something about her trusting meâŠâ
She remembers hearing a knock at the door. Opening it only to see your broken expression. She wanted to be mad at you. Not only had you gone and gotten knocked up, you did it with Ging of all people. The man who she wanted nothing to do with at the moment. That wasn't what sparked this feeling of betrayal. This hurt. You didn't even bother to tell her anything.
You'd been absent from her life for at least two years. You used to visit every few months. And you never hid things from her. But this? A relationship with her stupid cousin and a two year old kid? She wanted to slam the door in your face. Then the feeling disappeared at the sight of you crying.
âPlease,â you sobbed. The only person who'd ever made you cry was Ging.
âPlease take care of my boy!â
She knew it wasn't your idea to give him up. Not when Ging left the boy without looking back, and you were right in front of her pleading to take him in.
âRaise him like he's your own. I ⊠I wish more than anything things were different. But I can't fix it this time. So please, please love him. Make sure he grows big and strong. Teach him right from wrong-â
âI promise.â She cut off. Her own eyes tearing up as she watched you fall apart.
âMy first memory of your dad was his back. My first with your mom was of her face. Smiling so sweetly at me,â Mito started.
âShe was my best friend, and I loved her like a sister. She was always butting heads with Ging. Your dad thought she was a pain, and your mom thought he was a jerk. To anybody with eyes it looked like they hated each other. Even I was convinced.â
She could see both boys listening intently. Waiting for her to continue.
âBut despite all their petty arguments, they really did care about each other. There was this one timeâŠâ

W H A L EÂ I S L A N D :Â 2 1Â Y E A R SÂ A G O
You didn't know how many times you'd found her like this. Hysterically crying her eyes out because she'd lost sight of Ging. But you did know you were sick and tired of him leaving her to fend for herself. He didn't have a shred of sympathy for anyone but himself. You'd put him in his place one day. For nowâŠ
âGing left you again, huh?â You asked.
Mito looked up at you tearfully. Little hiccups escaping her from her place on the ground.
âYeah.â
You crouched down to swipe the tears off her face. Flashing a soft smile and offering up your hand.
âWell who needs him? C'mon, let's have our own adventure.â
She took your hand without hesitation, letting you pull her up and clinging tightly to your arm. She could always count on you to make her feel better. A smile of her own making its way to her face as you pulled her along.Â
âWhere are we gonna go?â She questioned.
âMmmm. Oh, I know! But I can't tell you.â You put a finger to your lips. Eyes filled with amusement watching Mito pout.
âWhy not!â She gave a small stamp of her foot.
Deciding you wouldn't tease her further, you responded truthfully.
âCuz, it'll be a surprise.â
Something special for her. So maybe the person she wanted to spend time with could care less about her. That didn't matter now that you were here. You were absolutely right. She didn't need him.
You led her deeper into the forest. Stopping just short of a clearing with what had to be the prettiest flowers she's ever seen. Blues and reds sprouting from every which way. A small pond in the center with frogs sitting by the edge. Her eyes widened in awe at the sight.Â
âHow did you find this place?â She asked.
You plopped down on the grass. Laying back and spreading out your limbs.
âWell, you discover something new everyday if you look hard enough.â
You gestured for her to join you. And without fail she did. Laying contently besides you while looking up at the clouds. Her senses flooded by the sweet smell of flowers. You stayed like that for a while. Basking in the serenity of the clearing. An idea came to you then. You nudged her shoulder lightly.
âHeyâŠLet's come back here tomorrow and have a picnic.â
âReally!?!â
You laughed at her excited tone.
âYeah! I'm getting better at cooking. How about I bring the food, and you bring the blanket?â
You looked over to see her beaming at you. Your bright grin matching hers.
âSounds good to me. If I tried to bring any snacks, Ging would find them and eat them.âÂ
You sat up at that. Raising your fist to the sky with a shake.
âThat jerkface. I'd give him a wallop if he tried that.âÂ
She sat up with you, not bothering to hide her giggles when she spoke.
âAre you gonna give him one today?â
âFor making you cry? I'll give him two!â
Your conversation was soon interrupted by a loud growl. The two of you froze. You turned your head to see a foxbear stalking forward. Instinctively you stood in front of Mito. Trying your best to figure out a way to make a break for it. The girl behind you still on the floor unmoving.
It took another step forward. Teeth bared in warning. You could outrun it, you were sure you could. But Mito couldn't. And if you carried her, you wouldn't be fast enough. You had to get its attention long enough for her to escape. It lunged forward before you got a chance to speak.
Youâd grabbed Mito and rolled as fast as you could out of the way. The foxbear slamming its head on a tree. You grabbed the younger girl by her shoulders.
âMito, get out of here! I'll distract it!âÂ
She seemed to snap out of her fear for just a brief moment. Looking fast between you and the animal that regained its bearings.
âI can't leave you!â She cried.
You didn't have any time to argue, so you said something you hoped would get her moving.
âThen go get Ging! Hurry!â
You shoved her before she could argue. Watching as she broke out into a sprint. You let out a sigh of relief. It was gone as soon as it came, feeling the looming presence behind you.
Mito ran as fast as she could through the forest. Shouting for Ging as loud as she could. Once again crying hysterically the longer she looked. She bumped into something hard. Falling backwards and looking up to see what it was.
âI thought you gave up for the day? Well, whaddya want?âÂ
She sobbed harder at the sight of Ging. Doing her best to speak coherently through her tears. But all he could make out was âY/nâ and âHelp.â
He rolled his eyes at the mention of your name. Cutting off Mito from her panicked rambling.
âLook, whatever happened to Y/n is her problem. Besides, she's always running her mouth about how much better she is than me. She can deal with it herself.â
Right at that moment your scream reverberated through the forest. For the first time since Mito could remember, Ging went pale. His eyes widening as the blood in his veins froze. Then all at once he started running. Sprinting as fast as he could in the direction of your cry.
Mito did her best to follow after him. She'd never known Ging to be scared. And she never would have known if it weren't for the slight tremble in his hand as he aimed his fishing pole. His body stuttering upon seeing your crumpled up form. The foxbear looking up at him with a growl.
He ran to the side opposite of you, using the tip of his fishing pole to smack the back of its head. He signaled for Mito to grab you. Continuing his onslaught as the foxbear grew more frustrated. It made a lunge for him. Ging dodged at the last second and made a run towards you and Mito. Picking up both of you and sprinting back towards the village.
Your body felt light, and he tried not to notice the limpness of it. He tried to ignore the warmth seeping into his clothes. The houses were barely in sight when he started shouting for a doctor. For anyone to help.
And he internally cursed you. Just what the hell did you get yourself into. You were gonna die. You couldn't die. You were supposed to be here. For him.Â
It wasn't long before you were taken in by a doctor. You were rushed in for surgery. The medical professionals stopping both Ging and Mito from entering the room. So they waited outside instead.
Mito eyed him from her peripheral. His shirt was soaked with your blood. She half expected him to yell at her for your condition. For being reckless. He was oddly quiet instead. She also thought he would have left by now, thinking you were the healerâs problem. But he was right outside your room.
The hospital wasn't really one. Not like Whale Island had much technology to begin with. It was a five room house with basic first aid. An old man with some medical experience and a few helpers. Still, it was better than nothing. The doctor came out after a few hours. The two of them looked at him expectantly.
âShe lost too much blood. It's a gamble if she'll pull through. But as of right now, it doesn't seem likely. You two should go home and get some rest.â
With no other choice they left. Or rather, Mito left and Ging said he'd be right behind her. She didn't expect to see him the next day in your room, having cracked open the door silently.
He stood by the side of your bed. Watching the rise and fall of your chest unmoving. His hand clasped in yours.
She was sure what he said next wasn't for another soul to hear.
"If you dieâŠI'll never forgive you.â
His hand tightening ever so slightly around yours.
âSo get better. Don't be a wimp and just bleed out."
He didn't bring it up. Not even to rub it in when you made a full recovery. In fact, it was as if that moment of softness never happened.
â---------------------------
P R E S E N T
âSo they still fought after that?â Gon questioned.Â
He thought his dad would have been a little nicer to you after that. Seems he was wrong.
âOoh yeah. A lot. I never told your mom about that either. So naturally they continued on as usual. That didn't mean she didn't have her own soft spot for him as well.â
â--------------------------
W H A L EÂ I S L A N D :Â 2 1Â Y E A R SÂ A G O
Another day, another spat with you and Ging at each other's throats. He tried to walk away at first, not in the mood to be scolded right now. But you followed persistently behind him.Â
âYou can't just disappear for a day! Everybody was worried about you!â You shouted.
Everyone huh? He shot you a glare over his shoulder.
âEven you?â
He watched smugly as your cheeks puffed out in irritation.
âOh yes. Totally worried and not at all annoyed by your reckless behavior! Can't you stop being stupid for one minute.â
His amusement disappearing at your insult. He turned around to face you.
âThen why are you here? Quit nagging me and just go away!â
âIt's not like I found you first on purpose! You think I like wasting my time!â
His head started to hurt. Maybe staying in that cave overnight had been a bad idea. Not like he'd ever admit it, and surely not to you of all people. You'd never let him live it down.
âFunny. Considering your entire life is a waste of time!â He taunted.
âReal original. At least I'm not the one who doesn't know what a shower is!â
But the longer Ging continued to argue with you, the worse he started to feel. The ache in his head became a ruthless pounding. His vision going in and out. He doubted an animal bite was the cause. He must've been exposed to something.
âAnother thing- hey. Are you okay?â Your tone immediately shifting upon seeing him struggle to stand.
You reached to put a hand on his forehead. He quickly slapped it away. Trying to create space between you two.
âM fine. Maybe if you shut up for onceâŠ. World wouldn'tâŠbe.. spinning.âÂ
He collapsed onto the ground. The last thing he heard was your concerned cry.
âGING!â
You rushed over to his side, panicking at his rapid breathing. You quickly hauled him over your shoulder and ran back towards the village. They stared at you in shock as you hauled around the unconscious boy.
You'd brought him to the same doctor you'd been at. And like you, the chance of recovery was slim. They didn't know what he'd been exposed to. You did your best to recall where you'd found him. Listing off whatever you thought would help. With nothing to do but wait, they'd sent him home on bed rest.
Mito would check up on him everyday. Surprisingly, you joined her. She'd never seen you so downcast. Especially over Ging. If anything, she expected you to brag about how you were right. How Ging was stupid enough to somehow get infected by a new sickness. Not you being the one to give him his medicine. (His own dad having been gone for some time now.)
He hadn't been getting better the past few days. And as she silently opened his bedroom door, she couldn't help but freeze in her tracks.Â
Ging's hand was clasped tightly between yours. You were looking down at him with a frustrated expression.
"You're pathetic if you let this sickness win. Aren't you supposed to be strong?â
She was sure she wasn't supposed to be hearing this. But you didn't seem to notice her.
âThen beat this thing and get better! If you dieâŠI'll hate you forever."
And when he made a miraculous recovery, you didn't bother bringing it up either.
â---------------------------------
P R E S E N T
She continued sharing stories about you and Ging. It felt like a weight was lifted off her shoulders. With every new fact about you, Gonâs eyes brightened. There was still a part of her that was worried he'd start chasing after you next. That he'd stop thinking of her as his mother. She knew it was selfish, but she'd raised him all on her own.
âI'd like to meet her one day. But she wouldn't be able to replace you.â Gon admitted.
She had nothing to fear after all.
â-----------------------------------
You don't know why you were thinking about him. About your childhood. You supposed the setting had something to do with it. You were currently traveling on a boat to get to your next sighting. Then you'd spend about a week doing dives. Truly you loved the sea. You could never get enough of it as a kid. Wanting more than anything to leave that island to explore it.
For so long you'd only ever stare across the horizon. You'd pick up whatever washed ashore and observe it. Try to figure out where it came from or what it was. You were able to spread your wings as a hunter.Â
A damn shame the man who encouraged you to do it was a dickhead.
â---------------------------
W H A L EÂ I S L A N D :Â 2 1Â Y E A R SÂ A G O
You remembered hearing the announcement and not believing it. Ging's dad was gone, lost somewhere out at sea. They weren't close, but it affected him all the same. You saw the way his eyes widened in disbelief. The way his hands clenched as people offered their condolences. How he started distancing himself from everybody.Â
He'd go into the forest and wouldn't come out for days. You knew he wasn't taking care of himself. Seeing his disheveled appearance and sunken in cheeks. You don't know why you felt bad for him. All you two did was yell at each other. But you just couldn't stand to see him so dejected.Â
Maybe it was because you could relate to him to some extent. You'd lost both of your parents when you were four. And although every family friend offered to take you in, you opted to stay by yourself in your home. The last thing you'd wanted was to be pitied.
You had a feeling Ging was similar. Too proud to accept any help or admit he needed it. He wouldn't want your sympathy. But you at least wanted him to eat. To stop neglecting his health.Â
It wasn't hard to find him. Somehow you always managed to do it. He was slumped over up against a tree. You don't think you've ever seen him soâŠso upset. You approached him slowly, watching the way his head shot up at the sound of your footsteps.
âYou've been roughing it up like a caveman for days. Don't you think it's time to go back home?â You asked.
He took note of the softness of your voice. You've never spoken to him like that before.Â
âI'm fine.â He brushed off.
âYou don't look like it,â you wanted to say. But you didn't want to push him. So instead you'd said-
âWell if you're going to be stubborn. Here.â
You extended out the basket you'd brought. A pleasant smell emitting from it. You could see the cogs turn in his head as he tried to figure out what was in there.
âDonât go getting the wrong idea. I had leftovers is all,â you justified.Â
He snapped out of whatever daze he was in and turned his head away.
âI'm not hungry.â
You frowned at his words. You always hated how stubborn he could be. Two could play at that game.Â
âYou look like garbage. You know you can't lie to me. And if you're gonna stay up here, at least feed yourself.â
The thought occurred to you that maybe he came up here because he didn't want anyone to see him grieve.Â
âOr if you don't want anyone to see you, you could crash at my place.â You added.
Your hospitality didn't sit right with him. You of all people were being nice. Why? Because you felt bad? You were the last person he wanted to be pitied by.Â
âAre you gonna tell me you're sorry too? That you're here if I need somebody to talk to? How you can't possibly imagine what I'm going through?â Frustration evident in his tone.
âI'm not-â You tired to argue, but everything had been too much for him.
âWell save it.â He snapped, eyes boring into yours.Â
âI don't need your damn help and I don't need your sympathy. But you can never leave me alone, can you?â
You two were no strangers to arguing. But something about this one felt different. It felt more heated. More weighted. The venom of his words making you tremble.
âYou're just an annoying thorn in my side that I can't get rid of. I hate you. I hate your voice. I hate the way you look. The way that you walk. I hate everything you stand for.â
He didn't know why he was so angry at you. But he couldn't stop.Â
âMake yourself useful for once and get the hell away from me!â
You stood silently taking it. Nails pressing hard into your palms. For a second he thought you would cry. Instead you'd dropped the basket you were holding. Voice eerily quiet as you finally spoke.
âI can't wait until I get off this island. I'll have the pleasure of never seeing you again.â
You left after that, leaving him once again in silence. He thought he would've felt better after you were gone. He didn't. For some reason, he couldn't shake the look on your face. The hurt. You'd never let anything he said get to you before. So why this time?
He shook his head to rid the thought. But he just couldn't escape you. The smell of the food you'd brought wafted tantalizingly in his face. He could feel a small pang of hunger in his stomach.Â
Damn you and your persistence.
The more he tried to ignore it, the more prominent his hunger became. Inevitably, he gave into the rumbling of his stomach. Not wanting to admit he was somewhat thankful you'd left the basket. Or that you'd been right. He froze when he saw what was inside it.
These were all his favorite foods. Packaged with care and enough to last him for the day. You didn't have leftovers, you'd actually gone out of your way to cook for him. A twinge of guilt coursed through him.Â
He'd been awful to you, and yet you still made sure he was taken care of. Hadn't you lost both of your parents too? More than anyone, you probably did know what he was going through. But you didn't want it to seem like some charity case, so you tried to play it off instead.
And he'd thrown it back in your face.
Man, he really owed you one, didn't he?
Just like that his grief, his frustration was gone. In its place the want to make things right with you. So he spent the whole night trying to figure out how to make it up to you. You loved the shoreline, so he started there. Picking up things he thought you would like. Fossilized parts of starfishes, a few janky shells, pieces of coral. He overheard you talking about sand dollars once, so he found a few of those too. Maybe he'd even catch you a new pet. Everything he collected placed haphazardly into your basket.
He knocked on your door first thing in the morning. It was still early enough that nobody would see him give it to you. Why did it matter if people saw him?
He half debated just leaving the basket at your door. But he decided against it, figuring you'd just think it was Mito who left it. The silence stretched out before him. You sure were taking your time, weren't you? He knocked again.
He felt like an idiot standing out here. People would see him at this rate. How humiliating it was to apologize to you. He twisted your doorknob next, surprised to see it unlocked. He'd scold you for that later. For now, he let himself in.Â
âHey, you awake yet?â He asked softly.
Once again he was greeted by silence. He decided to just get it over with. No point in stalling.
âLook, maybe I went too far yesterday. I don'tâŠI don't hate youâŠAnd uh- thank you for the food.â He quickly added.
Silence. He walked further into your home. Face burning a bright red. You were really gonna make him say it, weren't you?Â
âYou're really that mad, huh? Fine. I didn't mean to snap at you, okay?!? I don't even care about my dad that much. He's never here. Not like you. So just come out already!âÂ
And when you still didn't respond, his heart dropped. Something wasn't right. You'd never skip out on a chance to tease him. Something on your table caught his eye. A note. It shouldn't have shocked him to see it addressed to Mito. Though he never should have expected you to write him anything in the first place.Â
âI'm gonna be out for a while, so don't panic when you can't find me. I'll be fine. Take care until then.â
Okay. So he'd just have to wait until you came back. No big deal. He could wait here for you.
You didn't come back.
You'd been gone the whole day. Mito came by to see you. And when he showed her the note, she tried to wait for you too. But when it got dark out, she started crying. She always did when something happened to you. She loved you like family. It wasn't like you to be gone for so long. Still, he wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt.
By the third day, the entire island was searching for you. No stone left unturned, every nook and cranny you could possibly fit into was searched. There was no sign of you.
You left.
He was sure you did.
You always talked about getting off the island. Then there was what you said before you walked away from him. That you couldn't wait to leave. He asked all the crew members by the dock if they'd seen you. He checked every shore he could find at least twice. Asked if any boats had left recently. No luck. You'd made sure there was no trace of you.
How was he supposed to explain to everyone it was his fault you were gone?
He was scouting on the edge of a cliff when he saw something. A stone skipping in the water below. He tried not to get his hopes up. Tried to stop the pounding of his heart as he made his way down. Hugging the base of the mountain while scooting a few inches at a time. Finally, there was an opening. He never would have seen it if it weren't for the rock you tossed.
You hadn't seen him yet. Holding yet another small rock and throwing it across the surface of the water. You lookedâŠfine. A canister of water by your side with a small fire going. He had no reason to be worried about you.Â
You knew he was there. Even without seeing him you knew. You weren't mad at him, per se, but you were hurt. You could tell he was just lashing out. Taking everything negative and aiming it at you because it was easier that way. That didn't excuse what he said. It didn't mean you wanted to see him. Or anyone for that matter.Â
You wanted to be alone for a while. Just to collect your thoughts. But since he was here, you couldn't help but be snippy with him. He had no right to bother you when he'd been so cruel earlier.Â
âI thought you wanted me to leave you alone?â Sarcasm dripping from your tone.Â
He stood shocked at your words. Regaining his composure only to scold you right after.
âDon't start with me! You've been missing for three days! What the hell is wrong with you!?!â
Had you been more observant, you would have noticed the worry in his voice.Â
âMe? Says the idiot who leaves for weeks at a time! You can't get after me for doing the exact same as you!â
âLike hell I can't! The entire islandâs been in a frenzy since you left!â
âWell you found me! Now go away!â
He was getting nowhere with you. So he tried someone who could.
âMito thought you were hurt or worse!â
At that you went quiet. A guilty expression crossing your face. He knew you loved her just as much as she loved you. He took your silence as a sign to continue.Â
âLook, when I do it, it's expected! When you do it, it's like her entire world ended. Damnit, you have people who care about you!â He cared about you.
âAnd you don't!?!â You snapped.
It was like his brain short-circuited at that moment. You cared about him? Was everything he had been feeling what you'd felt too? Worried about how the other was doing. If they were okay.Â
âWhy are you here Ging?â You asked.
You sounded drained. He couldn't blame you. He'd felt drained too.
âIt should be obvious shouldn't it?â He rebuttaled.Â
But as always you saw right through him.
âNo. Why are you here?â
He didn't know how to answer you, so he didn't. You curled into yourself at his silence.
âI don't want to see you right now.â You said quietly.
He sat down next to you stubbornly.
âToo bad. I'm not leaving until I take you with me.â
You scooted away from him.
âThen we're stuck here because I'm never going anywhere with you again.â
You let out a scoff, directing your attention to the fire in front of you. It was an awkward sort of silence that filled the cave. You didn't want to speak to him, and he didn't know what to say. He looked at you from the corner of his eye. He had no idea how to fix this. He was never the best with people. He knew how to get on your nerves. Not how to soothe them.
So he sat there for an hour or two, trying to formulate a sentence in his head. He eventually gave up. Maybe being honest would help. And if it didn't, then you two would be stuck down here a long time.
âIt was off putting, you know?â He started.
âHmm?â You gave a small hum, still refusing to look at him.
âTo have you be nice to me.â
He could see the way your hands clenched. Okay so maybe those weren't the right words.
âWell, it'll never happen again.â
Definitely not the right words.
âNot like that. Ugh!â He tried to diffuse. Face starting to burn with embarrassment. And when you finally turned to stare at him, it only worsened.
âLike what then?â
He took a second to collect his thoughts. Letting out a heavy sigh before speaking.
âI don't want to be the boy who was pitied.â
Your face scrunched up at his words.
âWho's father died so everybody better step on eggshells around him. All the âsorriesâ and âweâre here's.â I can't stand any of it.â He confessed.
You had a feeling that was the case. It was why you tried to be subtle about your kindness. Look how far that got you.
âThen for you to show up with food, to offer me your place to stayâŠIt didn't feel like you. It felt like everyone else.â
At last, your features softened.
âI just don't want you to change. You don't tell me what I want to hear. So having you care about me just felt off.â
He turned his head towards you when he was finished. He was surprised to see you move closer to him. You didn't look mad anymore. You were trying to figure out how to respond.
âI justâŠâÂ
And he waited for you. Just as you'd waited for him.
âYou're so strong, you know? So stubborn and determined. I thought nothing could shake you.â
You thought that highly of him, huh? It had him feeling a little worse for what he said to you.
âSeeing you so dejectedâŠ.It was hard. You're always full of energy. The boy who can never resist a challenge. The sulking kid who sits in one place? That's not Ging Freecs.â
You met his gaze with a small smile.
âI don't want you to change either. And I know you didn't mean all that stuff. You don't have to say you're sorry.â
A feeling of relief washed over him. He decided he hated it when you were mad. Really mad at him. The silence was more comfortable this time. The tension in the cave not as thick. He'd almost say it was nice.
âI thought you'd run off the island. I don't know why, but it scared me. The thought of you not being here anymore.â He admitted.
You gave a playful nudge to his shoulder.
âI would have loved to see the look on your face.â
And once again he was embarrassed. He'd never tell you he was worried. He'd rather have his eyes gouged out than admit that.
âWhat look? The look of relief.â He taunted, but you only laughed the remark off.
He pouted and turned away from you. Through your giggles you could tell he was flustered. You knew he didn't like being vulnerable. Hell it was a miracle he'd told you as much as he did. You decided to humor him a bit.
âI was scared too. I thought you'd kill yourself up there. That's why I brought you food in the first place.â You explained.
He was grateful you'd somewhat changed the subject. Taking attention off him for a moment. But something in the atmosphere changed. Your amused expression was replaced by something more somber.
âI'm gonna leave this island eventually. I don't wanna be stuck here all my life.â
Eventually. Not yet. It was comforting to hear. He nodded at you to continue, sharing in your sentiment.
âThere's something I want to do. Something I want to find.â
âWhat is it?â He asked.
âYou're gonna laugh if I tell you.â
âPromise I won't.â Because truthfully, he wanted to be here with you. A part of him beaming at the fact you were telling him something personal.
âYou know about the legend of Atlantis right? The lost sunken city? I'm gonna find it. Or a city like it. Most myths are based in some truth, right? At the very least I can discover lost pieces of civilizations.âÂ
You spoke excitedly, but when you met his gaze, you shied away. Preparing for him to poke fun at you.
Had it been coming from anyone else, he would have thought they were crazy. But something about it being you made him believe it. It made him want to root for you. Before he could say as much, you continued. This time with more determination.
âIn two years, I can take the hunter exam. I'll be able to get the funds I need for dives. Maybe grants for research. I'll be able to start my life. ButâŠI know people will probably think I'm crazy. I'll be underestimated for being so young. It'll be hard.â
He could see you were on the fence about it. Wanting to chase your dreams, but at the same time worried about what everybody else would think. He doesn't think he's ever seen you self-conscious before. You were always so sure with everything you did.
âIf anyone can do it, it's you.â He encouraged.
Your eyes widened. Then all at once you beamed at him.Â
âSo you think I should go for it?â You asked hopefully.Â
âYeah. Besides, I'll be the one to leave first. If I'm going after what I want, why shouldn't you?âÂ
You were temporarily shocked hearing he'd wanted to be a hunter too. Then again it was Ging. He was always chasing something new. He fit the role perfectly.
âAnd what is it that you want?â You asked.
He couldn't believe what he was about to tell you. Something he'd never confided in anyone about before. He supposed it was only fair since you did it first.
âThere are these ruins. I want to restore them. Well, not quite. I want to find out what's inside them. Nobody's been able to get in there before. Something about it being too dangerous and the ruins themselves being too fragile. I'll start up a nonprofit to get things going. It won't be easy either. But it's what I want.â
He looked at you with an unshakable resolve. The same one reflected in your eyes.
âThen you better make sure to get it.â You said.
He remembered what you said the day he snapped at you. Asking him to go back to the village. Back home. After being away for so long, no thanks to his own behavior and worry for you, he wanted nothing more. He stood up and offered his hand to you.
âI'm ready to go home now.â He prompted.
You smiled and took his hand.
âThen let's get going.â
You got back to the village by nighttime. Staring up at the stars as you made your way to your house. Ging followed right behind you. When you got there, you offered for him to come inside. Initially, he accepted your offer. That was until you found your basket on the table.
âWhat's this?â You asked.
Ging actively avoided your gaze while you looked through the contents of the basket.
âMito thought you were sick and made you a basket.â He quickly lied. Face burning a bright red.Â
You raised a brow at his flustered expression.Â
âWell tell Mito I said thank you.â You already knew it was him who left it.
âI will.â
He went to leave, trying to escape what'd made him so embarrassed. And just before he opened the door, he hesitated.
âDon't ever do that again.â He lectured one last time.Â
You gave a roll of your eyes.
âI didn't need you to find me. I was perfectly fine. And besides, I left a note.â
âJust don't do it, okay!?!â
Eventually the time came when he was supposed to leave for his hunter exam. He of course rubbed it in how he got to become one first. Very much enjoying how it got under your skin.
âBeing a year older than me doesn't make you better! You know damn well I'd ace it on my first try!â
âSucks to suck. It doesn't change the fact I'll be a hunter before you. Maybe I'll even get a head start on your search.â He teased.
âDonât you dare! I'll kick your ass!â
âOooh. I'm so scared. How's it feel to be in second place?â
âI hope you fail and have to take it next year with me! Then I hope you fail again!â
Your angry expression disappearing when he started staring point blank at you. It felt like he was observing you. You fidgeted under his gaze.
âWhat? Is there something on my face?â
At that, he continued his way towards the boat that would take him to the exam site. He flashed you a cheeky smirk over his shoulder before speaking once more.
âYou're such a nag. You know, no man's ever gonna wanna marry you if you keep at it?â
You could feel your face burn. Chasing persistently at him while yelling.
âOh yeah? Well you're a lazy bum! No woman's gonna wanna put up with you and clean up after your messes!â
âPsh! I could bag any woman I wanted.â
âBag this!â
You put him in a headlock. Grip unrelenting as he pleaded for you to let go. Ultimately giving up and letting you rough him up. It'd be the last time he'd see you for a long while. He could feel it.

Gon didn't know what he was expecting, he should have figured it wouldn't be that easy to find Ging. Still he couldn't help but feel disappointed his father had sent him on another chase. On the bright side, he'd been able to meet Kite again. The man who'd inspired him to become a hunter in the first place.
It was a hectic reunion to say the least. And after a small scuffle with some ants, the three of them situated themselves around a fire. The conversation centered on Ging for a bit. What he was like, how Kite met him, small things that only piqued Gonâs interest more.
âDo you want me to tell you where Ging is right now?â Kite asked.
Gon knew he was testing him. Already knowing what he'd say without hesitation. He was sure of it now. He was right where he was meant to be. Ging had his reason for sending him here, and he'd do his best to see it through.
"No thanks. I'll find him myself.â
Kite seemed content with his response.
"That's a good answer.â
Gonâs determined look reminded him of someone. He just couldn't put his finger on it at the moment. Yet as the conversation continued, the image became clearer. It wasn't until Gon asked about you did he realize it.
âDo you know anything about my mom?â
That's right. He had your unwavering optimism and determination. He should've known from the start it was you. He may have looked like Ging, but his mannerisms were yours. It really should have clicked he was your son too.Â
âYeah, I know your mom. She's one of my closest friends.â
The way Gonâs eyes lit up, it was definitely you.
âReally!?! What's she like?â
He let out a small laugh at the boyâs enthusiasm. Oh where to start with you. There were so many things to say. More than he could about Ging because unlike him, you two had actually kept in frequent touch with each other. He knew the general vicinity Ging was in, but he knew the exact hotel you were staying at. That was one way to put it.
âShe's the complete opposite of your father, for starters. Your dad struggles socially most of the time and he's extremely stubborn. He doesn't give up until he gets exactly what he wants. Your mom makes friends just about everywhere she goes. She compromises a lot when it comes to what she's looking for. But she'll always manage to find a way to get it anyways.â
Gon noticed his tone was a lot softer when he talked about you. Very similar to the way Mito reminisced about your shared childhood.Â
âShe's always going out of her way for others. I remember the first time I met herâŠâ

S O M E W H E R E : 1 6 Y E A R S A G O
The situation wasn't ideal. The two of them needed a place to stay for the moment, and for whatever reason Ging led them here. A small house just outside of York New.Â
Normally they'd take their chances with the elements, but the impending blizzard changed their plans. There was no way in hell they would be able to withstand it. Ging seemed pretty adamant about coming here, too. An almost excited look in his eye when the opportunity presented itself.Â
When you heard knocking on your door, you couldn't have expected who'd be on the other side. Opening it up and staring dumbfounded. A sixteen year old Ging stood with a ten year old kid in the cold.Â
âItâs been what? Four years? Nice to see you again,â he greeted.
âDie.â You quickly slammed the door in his face.Â
Now from what Ging had been telling Kite, you were his friend. He said you would greet him with wide arms or something. Be more than willing to open your home. Clearly he'd been misled.Â
âWh-hey! It's freezing out here! Have a heart will ya! At least take in the kid!â Ging pleaded through the door.Â
And his motives may or may not have been selfish. Staying here for a night would give him the opportunity to dump Kite off at your place. But you didn't need to know that.
âStop trying to guilt trip me!â He heard you faintly through the door.
âOne night? C'mon. All the hotels are booked up. Look I'll even pay you.â
You looked out through the peephole just in time to see him wave a five dollar bill. And just when you were about to shoo him away once and for all, you saw the little boy shiver. Clutching his arms tightly to himself to keep warm.Â
Damnit.Â
You hastily unlocked the door. A hand on your hip while you moved to let them in.
âYou better clean up after yourselves. Got it?â
Ging gave a salute.
âYes ma'am. Let's go.â He gestured for Kite to follow him.
The kid followed behind him obediently. Hanging up his coat and looking at your home in awe. Ging leaned down to whisper something in his ear. He gave a small nod when he finished, walking further into your home to explore. Perhaps if you'd been a little closer you would have heard Ging say-
âTold you she'd let us in. Now don't go causing trouble. She's scary when she's mad.â
You let the duo situate themselves in your kitchen. You eyed the smaller boy with curiosity. He'd been dead silent since he walked in. Looking everywhere but you. He seemed to curl in on himself, as if to look smaller. Nerves perhaps.Â
âSo who's poor kid did you abduct?â You questioned.Â
Ging gave a roll of his eyes before answering.
âI didn't abduct him. He just started following me around. I figured it wouldn't hurt to keep him as a student.â
âYou? A teacher? That poor boy.âÂ
âHey! He's coming along nicely. He's already got the basics down. It's only a matter of time before I teach him nen.â He defended, crossing his arms at your jab.
You scoffed and continued on with cooking. You could see Ging enter your peripheral, a cheeky smirk on his face.
âSpeaking of, how's yours coming along?â He asked.
âLike I'd ever tell you my ability. It's humiliating enough you recovered those ruins first.â
You knew those words were a mistake the second they left your mouth. Watching as he beamed before a smug expression replaced it. He used an arm to lean on your counter.
âSo you were keeping up with me? If I didn't know better, I'd say you had a crush.â And to your horror, he wiggled his eyebrows playfully.
âHa! Don't delude yourself. My department covers ruins too. It'd be weird if I didn't hear about it.â
He'd deny the slight disappointment at your words.Â
âBesides, how'd you know where I lived?â You continued.
âI asked around.â He said matter of factly. And as he realized what he said, his face flushed.
âStalker much. If I didn't know any better, Iâd say you had a crush on me.â You mimicked.
âTch. It's not like that! I justâŠâ
âJust what?â
He internally cursed you out for throwing his taunt back in his face.
âWe'll probably be colleagues one day, so it helps to know where you are,â he justified.Â
You didn't believe him, but still you decided to give him a break.
âSure. Now, go get cleaned up. Leave your clothes to thaw out. I'm sure I have something that'll fit you.â
âAnd him.â He gestured to Kite behind himself.
âOh he can definitely fit in my clothes. Poor thing is so scrawny.â
You walked over to the smaller boy. Kite froze when you cupped his cheeks. Cooing softly at him. Your movements very much exaggerated.
âHe's been starving you, hasn't he? C'mon, let's take care of you. It couldn't be easy living with such a brute.â
âHey!â Ging called out.
You guided Kite to sit at the dining table. He didn't really trust you. And your overly friendly tone didn't help. But as soon as Ging left, he could tell it was for show. You smiled a little more genuinely at him.
âHope you like soup, because that's what we're working with. Luckily, I should have enough for all of us.â
You didn't know whether to take his silence as a good thing or not. Who knows what Ging told him. Probably that you were a witch who'd put him in the oven.
âI don't bite, you know?â
He eyed you with a shy expression.Â
âI've got plenty of food, so you can eat to your heart's content. And don't worry about the dishes. I'll make Ging do them. It's the least he can do for showing up unannounced.â You tried to sway, yet he stayed quiet. Although you noticed he started fidgeting under your gaze.
âNot much of a talker huh? That's fine. If you need anything just let me know.â
The difference between you and Ging was night and day. Your presence was warm and inviting. You didn't try to pry into his personal life or poke fun of him. Serving him a bowl of whatever you'd been cooking with an encouraging smile.Â
He took his first spoonful. It was the first time you'd seen him show emotion since he'd been here. Eyes lighting up as he eagerly downed the entire bowl. You did your best to stifle your laughter, pouring him another serving when he was finished.
âYou can sleep in my room, if you want.â You offered.
He momentarily looked up from his food. He was weighing the option in his head when Ging came out from your bathroom.
âAnd where am I gonna sleep?â
Your soft expression shifting into an annoyed one. Looking away from Kite to address him.
âThe couch.â
âWhat!?! Shouldn't the host take the couch?â Ging argued.
âYou should be glad I'm letting you stay in the first place. I get the spare room. My house, my rules.â
He huffed something under his breath. You gave a glare and pointed towards the sink.
âDish duty. Go.â
âI haven't eaten had a chance to eat yet!â He complained.
âWell eat and then do them. I'm not your damn mother."
âNo but you'll be a hag in a few years.â He mumbled.
âWhat did you say?!?â
âNothing!â
He'd never seen his mentor so compliant. There was hardly any pushback before he was scrubbing the dishes. Ging liked to march to the beat of his own drum. So to see him do whatever you told him, it was shocking. Maybe he didn't want to piss you off. Though he had a feeling it was something else entirely.
Kite followed you to your room. You urged him forward, grabbing a few comforters and pillows from a closet. How long had it been since he slept in a bed? Too long. He practically sunk into the mattress. Smiling contently as he spread out.Â
âGetting comfortable?â You asked.
âMhm.â
âI got you some extra blankets just in case. Here, let me set things up for you.â
He watched mutely as you organized the pillows you'd brought in. Reaching over the side of the bed to swipe a small stuffed bear. You put a finger to your lips.
âDon't tell Ging. I kept this from home. If he found out he'd be a jerk about it.â
It'd been a gift from Mito when you were little kids. You couldn't take a lot with you when you left Whale Island. But youâd wanted some reminder of home. No matter how small it was.
Kite nodded in understanding. Knowing just as well as you how insufferable Ging could be. You were in the doorway when he stopped you. Building up his confidence to speak at last.
âKite.â
His voice was quiet. Quiet enough that you weren't even sure you heard it.
âHuh?â
âMy name is Kite.â He wanted to say thank you, but the words died on his tongue. You smiled brightly at him anyways.
âWell it's nice to meet you Kite. If you need anything, I'm here.â
He could see now why Ging chose this place. Why he chose you. Kite decided he liked you after all.
And while he slept soundly through the night, a certain ruins hunter found that he couldn't. Tossing and turning before getting up to use the restroom. He opened up the door and stopped in his tracks.Â
You were snoring away inside the tub. His eyes softened at the sight. You'd taken care of them before yourself. It was just like you to be so stupid. So selfless.Â
You never had a spare bedroom to begin with.
â--------------------------------
P R E S E N T
âI didn't find out until a few days later what happened.â Kite continued on.
âAnd when I did, Ging told me not to bring it up to her.â
âWhy not?â Gon questioned.
âHe said she didn't do it to be thanked, but because she could. And if she wanted to make a big deal out of it, she would've.â
âI get it.â Killua said.
âIf you're friends, then there's no reason to be thanking each other. It goes without saying to help when the other person needs it.â He explained.
âI still don't really get it. Isn't it nice to show appreciation?âÂ
At the very least, Gon figured his father would have tried to do something nice for you in return.
âThink of it like this: I didn't ask you to come after me when Illumi showed up, but you did it anyways.â
âWell it was the right thing to do.â He said as if it were a matter of fact.
One thing was for sure, he was definitely your kid.
The sound of footsteps quickly caught their attention. Eyes trained to where the noise was coming from. They could see a figure emerge from the underbrush. A woman.
âI thought I'd find you out here. Not that I couldn't sense you, buuuut still.â You greeted the silver haired hunter, not yet noticing the two boys.Â
âHey.â He offered you a wave.
And while he was perfectly calm, he could sense the shock from the boy in green. The disbelief.Â
âI figured I'd stop by to see how you were doing. I've got some spare time before my next job.â You explained.
As you came closer, you finally took in your surroundings. The grin wiped off your face when your eyes landed on Gon. You could feel your heart start to race. Stepping back instinctively and pointing at him.
âWhat's that?â You asked Kite.Â
âI think you know.â He responded.
You shook your head rapidly. There was no way. Your nen was still intact so it couldn't be him. UnlessâŠ
âNo. No I don't. I'm just. Hallucinating! That's it! Oxygen deprivation is finally kicking in!â Your attempts to find any excuse not going unnoticed.
âWhy is your mom freaking out so much? I thought she'd be happy to see you.â Killua whispered to the boy in green.
Though he didn't respond. Still in shock to finally see one of his parents. He watched as you continued to panic. His own nerves in complete overdrive.
âHa, this has gotta be a prank right?â You continued to question the silver haired hunter. But everything came to a head at one singular word.
âMom?â
Oh shit.

"if you had to pick"

featuring : daichi, oikawa, kita
includes : fluff
notes : this has been in my drafts for way too long ahhh

â SAWAMURA DAICHI
practice was over and you guys still had some time left so why not play a game?
tanaka had roped everyone to sit in a circle and play truth or dare so here you were
it was your turn and obviously, not wanting to do some stupid dare by him, chose truth
"if you had to pick between all of us, who would be the best boyfriend?" tanaka asked
you didn't even hesitate on that. "daichi, for sure."
you had a little crush on him, sure, but then again maybe that was too fast
that earned a few hollers and mischievous looks coming from your friends, especially your trouble making juniors.
"oh and why's that?" noya asked with a wink.
you try your best to change the subject but everyone seemed interested in your answer
including daichi who was sporting a blush
"well he's already boyfriend material. a good brother, an even amazing captain, not to mention a real gentleman â" it was your turn to blush when you caught yourself rambling "âso yeah theoretically that's the most obvious answer. okay next"
thankfully it went to someone else and you sighed in relief when the spotlight was off you
after hanging out , you made your way home but you were stopped by daichi himself
"you know if you want, you could see if your theory was true," he said smoothly but you could see a hint of blush on his cheeks as he spoke

â OIKAWA TOORU
you knew something would happen when you hung out with the four of them
it was your monthly movie night with the boys so you're all at oikawa's house this time
you still made time for each other despite your schedule
iwaizumi claimed the single arm chair, makki and mattsun sat on the floor and you were seated next to oikawa on the couch
you didn't mind though, maybe some part of you was hoping you were seated next to your crush
you were watching a movie about these friends having a backup husband/wife and makki got really interested in the idea.
it's not a surprise when he stopped mid movie to ask you guys
well, technically, ask you
"say y/n if you had to pick one of us to be your backup, who would it be?"
you looked around them before answering. "oikawa"
said setter looked at you in surprise while makki had this mischievous look in his eyes.
"oh do tell us more."
"he's gonna go pro right?" was the first thing that came to your head aside from the obvious fact you had a crush on him. "might as well marry the rich."
"so you'd marry him for money?"
"and the good looks" you joked before continuing.
"KIDDING but he's actually sweet and I think he'd make a great backup husband"
cue awwing from makki and oikawa subtly hiding his blush
"okay but what makes you think he would want you as his backup" mattsun chipped in
and immediately all eyes were on the man of the hour
you knew it was a silly game but you'd hope he'd pick you
oikawa looked around and cleared his throat before answering.
"well obviously not y/n"
you rolled your eyes at that but deep down that kind of hurt
"why would I have you as my backup when I could have you now?"
say what
you whipped your head towards him and saw how he's blushing
"she's totally gonna reject you now, dude."

â KITA SHINSUKE
it is no secret that kita is the perfect gentleman
that is the only reason being inarizaki's manager is so bearable
and you know the humongous crush you had on him helped too
anyway
you were filling up some forms for the team and they were hanging out near you, literally just wasting time and suna decides to ask you questions
and suna just casually goes "y/n if you had to pick one of us to date who would it be?"
"kita."
he didn't stop there
"pick someone who'd you kiss?"
"pick someone you'd kill for?"
"pick someone who'd you cook and clean for"
"look, i'll save you some time. if kita is an option, i pick kita." you said, clearly distracted and not knowing said captain was just behind you blushing like hell
atsumu had other ideas cue evil laugh
"ah, so you have a crush on him huh?"
"isn't that obvious." you retorted.
"it wasn't obvious to me."
you froze. literally frozen on the spot as kita comes up from behind you.
earth please swallow me whole
"oh haha it was a dumb games anyways let's forget about it."
"ah, shame. because I'd do all those things only for you too."
cue sneaky teasing kita
also cue you short circuiting
safe to say this was just the beginning

reblogs are appreciated luvss <3
