so abt the end of that 2.7 sunday questline

the concept of luck/chance in particular being referenced like 2 or 3 times, later concluding with a line from wonweek (who i view as sunday's id) about how he's "possessed by that ipc gambler". like that is CRAZY to me. he's really trying to embody these qualities about aven that he admires/values. sunday doesn't even deny it. he just goes on to talk about how failure is the best teacher, that you have to understand what people live/die for to save more lives. that the best way to achieve this is through "personal experience". aka living. it may be a reach but i really feel like the implication here is that he doesn't understand aventurine (because aven has had a life full of experiences the likes of which sunday probably can't even conceive of, duty-bound to penacony as he has been), but that he wants to. like badly. the reason he failed ('lost' to aventurine [and also everyone else LOL]) is his lack of experience with... life, other people, the whole thing.

there's also that interesting line about "if what i once doubted - or even opposed - becomes the force i must rely on in the future... then this time, my true heart will guide the tuning" he then tells wonweek that he will "leave it (the choice) to him". he's going to literally let his heart/instincts guide him. at this point wonweek asks if he's been possessed by aventurine lmao. like. they (wonweek/sunday) view aventurine as someone who follows their heart. meanwhile sunday following HIS heart is fucking emulating aventurine. HELLO. hoyo cooked so insanely with them the whole kitchen burned down

now that i think of it it’d be so funny for mama fenge to be connected to ena because ena made a deal with qliploth before THEY were assimilated into xipe about stopping tayzzyronth & oroboros, and aventurine misled the ig into thinking that tayzzyronth’s remains were in egyhazo & made them lose tons of resources. and also that qliploth upheld THEIR end of the deal about the propogation but it’s unknown what ena did, if anything, about the voracity. and now aventurine is a part of the preservation ipc.

other people can ship what they want, but I will only ship aventurine gay and never a straight ship. the dynamic of straight relationships/ships is never balanced (societies fault mostly) and that boy sure needs some balance. if you ignore the het-ifying of gay relationships with the whole pointless top/bottom debate, gay relationships are more equal by nature. aven needs someone in his life who is his equal.

for example, in the story it was pointed out the footprints were side by side when he was walking with ratio. therefore ratio sees him as his equal. and i'm sure aven would feel more at ease with him if he wasn't dealing with everything he was atm. aven is such an unbalanced character fighting against an eternal power struggle of everyone towering above him, trying to beat his luck, and he's trying to get above for once. then ratio appears, treating him as an equal, balancing him. even if you dont see it as a ship/see it as a platonic ship/nonromantic/friends you still have to admit how good their dynamic is.

remembered how when i streamed the 2.2. trailblaze mission and we were in dreamflux reef after gallagher "killed" sunday and everything was so uwaa whats happening and the moment we saw them next to each other it broke and my friend couldnt hold the funniest snortlaugh in bc she was taken aback at how fucking tiny sunday is. spent several minutes just walking around our short king. good times
