Disclaimer: If you think differently than what I write here that is totally okay! These are just opinions!

First and foremost, I believe he's a switch (or a Verse)! It can also depend on his partners preference, but he doesn't mind doing one or the other. I will say that he can have trouble bottoming/submitting super early on because it can be a very vulnerable experience, and he may get overwhelmed quickly. Will he admit that? Of course not, he's too prideful and his communication skills are horrid.

There's a lot of talk about with whether Rolan is a virgin or had a couple flings in the past during his time in Elturel, and I like either one! The most important thing is that he's definitely inexperienced. He doesn't know what he likes or dislikes yet, and would like to explore that with his partner once he's comfortable.

Bite him! Mark him! Give him hickies! Gods he goes absolutely insane for them, especially when he's on the receiving end. He would prefer all of it to be under the collar, but one of his favorite places is that tender spot right between the jaw and ear. It's one of the many ways to get him mewling. And here's some info about my summer skin care! I didn't answer the question properly during the podcast so I thought it would be best to show you everything here😂In summer, I tend to prefer skin care products that are a little lighter than the ones I use in winter, but I don't want to change my routine completely.😊All these items are from Korean brands…🤣Aside from chaging the lotion I use for my facial device, the lineup is pretty much the same as in winter. However, since the UV rays are strong during this time of year, I use a lot more cosmetics with whitening agents. I use the same nighttime serums all year round, one with vitamin C, another one with retinol. I use the one with retinol on days when I've been exposed to too much air conditioning, and the one with vitamin C on days when I've been exposed to UV rays. I have various morning serums…not just the ones you see here, there are about four types that I use depending on my mood. One product that's different in summer is my cream, I use the tube in the back on the right side at night. In the morning, I use the tube in the back on the left side as a good base for my makeup. By the way, my tone-up serum is the tube next to my morning cream. I love the brand "Serendi Beauty", but unfortunately, their products have been sold out for a while and I can't buy them anywhere😭It's not featured here but their lotion in particular is seriously the best…!!

I also use face masks in the morning and at night, the same ones I use in winter 😊Here's my starting lineup for facial masks✨Once again, I've increased my stock of whitening products! And of course I also want something that is very moisturising! I aim to feel well hydrated from the inside. That way, even if I do my makeup with a matte finish, my face won't dry out all day 😊💓

Well, since I have some spare time… I'll briefly try to answer a few of the remaining questions! (^^)

Q. Do you mind spoilers? For shows, movies, novels, manga, games, setlists, anything? A. I don't like spoilers for weekly shows that I look forward to watching. I am very fascinated by anything horror-related but I think it's too scare so I can't really watch it. That's why I always read all the spoilers *laughs* Also, I'm such a beginner at games so I watch a lot of walkthrough videos of good players to help me get past difficult parts.

Q. Do you receive all of our letters and presents? A. Yes! I've received all of them, including every single letter😊 Thank you as always…✨ Speaking of which, I once received some hair oil which made my hair super smooth and silky so I bought some for myself!! !

Q. Are you okay with heights? A. I'm not that bad at heights but I feel like the glass floor of Tokyo Tower is pretty scary😇 Also, I've never been on one but the Ferris wheel carriages with glass floors look pretty scary too😇

Q. What are some recommended spots in Yokohama? A. The sea and the night view around the Red Brick Warehouse are beautiful!! !

Q. Have you ever had a pet before? A. When I still lived at home with my parents we had a dog���� When I started living alone, I had a goldfish🐟 (My little goldfish Buu-chan has passed away and gone to heaven a long time ago (;_;)🐟✨)

she has not unlocked a single memory. mostly out of pure stubbornness, and she has an idea that she probably wasn't the best or nicest person in the past. at least that's what she believes, thus believes her not remembering is for the best but is doing everything she can to build a better future for herself in the here and now. -- she does remember small details, like her age, name, favorite colors and her love for music and that's about it. overtime she's picked up affinities for what she assumes are new things, like reading, skateboarding, drawing, painting, etc - very much the 'will try anything once' types.

works part time at both the book nook (customer service) and beat street music (store clerk). first started at beat street as working with music called to her, but then got more into books as time went on. if she's not working or at home she can usually be found people watching around sweet bean cafe, playing games at 8-bit, or drinking and dancing the night away at illusion. ͏

has tried to 'leave' ansong multiple times. it's really not out of a need to leave as much as sheer curiosity. her part time job at the book nook was initially started as an excuse while she tried to find books about any other places other than ansong; wanting some proof that other places do indeed exist.

music geek to the point of obsession. a lover of a well curated playlist. the type that pays way too much attention to the lyrics and their meaning. can spend hours, nay days, carrying on about music and how different songs can hit differently depending on your mood. believes that music is the new form of poetry and that gifting someone a playlist can tell them more than a letter ever could. if you want to have a conversation that goes on for ages just talk to her about music.

personality quickies ::

her personality can best be described a both self aware and self destructive. charming, impulsive, curious, eccentric, playful, clumsy, stubborn, and insecure. in summation, she's a bit of a mess.

the friend that knows everything about you but you realize one day that you know very little about her. it's not that she doesn't want people to know her, she just has a hard time opening up.

can come off as being a bit too aloof, uncaring, and unfazed. but rest assured internally she is anything but, just has a hard time processing her emotions outwardly. instead she will be the one going home and thinking about something that happened that day and trying to dissect why she felt this or that way and process it in her own space and own time.

although she can seem aloof, nari can be a very outwardly friendly person in situations where she feels comfortable. -- feels most confident when surrounded by people she knows, places she frequents, and where the vibes feel right. when in the right environment she is outgoing, funny, talkative and sociable.

playlist aficionado !! if she curates a playlist specifically for you then that means you're important in her life, even if she doesn't come right out and say it; and the music she picks says more about how she feels than words ever could. -- that being said, know if she makes a playlist for you it is a sacred thing. she mulled over the songs to put on it, their meanings and making sure the playlist had a good flow and told a good story all before she gifted it. she does not mess around when it comes to playlists. every song she puts on one has a meaning.

will laugh at her own jokes. and if you don't laugh as well tell you that it wasn't meant for you. sarcasm is her favorite form of humor, and she is very quick with it. so quick that people don't always catch on at times that she's just made a joke and will mistake it for her being a bit of a bitch; though it's never intended that way.

has a very strong sense of justice and won't hesitate to speak up if she feels like herself or someone else is being mistreated. she may be naturally introverted, but that doesn't equate to her being easily walked all over, especially not when it comes to her friends.

plot ideas ::

first and foremost !! i want to note i'm big on chemistry over everything, i'm not going to force my muse to do something if the chemistry isn't there. i love plotting and brainstorming and bouncing ideas around, if you want to interact but don't have a specific plot in mind we can always throw ideas at a wall until something sticks. on the flipside, if you have an idea and think that nari could work for it please don't hesitate to let me know! all the plots below are basic starting points and can be fleshed out and added to.

fellow employees/frequent shoppers at either the book nook or beat street. these are the people she spends the most time around so some level of familiarity and friendship formed over time.

playlist receivers - anyone that nari has made a playlist for throughout time. maybe they received one and are confused why? or what she's trying to tell them through the different arrangement of songs and their lyrics.

chill friends and comfort characters. they don't feel the need to fill silence with constant conversation or noise. though her world is generally always being filled with music, she also enjoys people who she can just comfortably sit and do nothing with. example - you're both happy for the company while you each do your own things (playing a game, writing, painting, etc)

artistic types. nari loves art and creating. she's not the best at it, but she enjoys the creation part - even when she's just creating a mess. painting, sign her up. pottery? lets make and paint some lopsided bowls and ugly ashtrays.

proximity neighbors. let's be honest, living next to/beneath/above a melomaniac is probably an experience. her music is always playing, sometimes it's too loud and other times it gets so quiet you start to worry.

memory aspirations. someone who has unlocked their memories and found out they weren't the terrible person they assumed? would be nice for her to see that sometimes finding things out isn't the worst thing in the world

i need warm drinks for a medical thing, but oh my god. i am having no luck with tea. i never have. coffee is not an option, and while i do enjoy hot chocolate, it's not something i can drink every day.

any advice would be lovely.

allow me to wax poetically (and hopefully practically) about tea (and i do hope it helps and eases your medical strains <3)

this might sound a little silly, but for me, tea enjoyment starts with the ritual of it all. heating water up in a kettle (mine's pink, naturally...i cling to the aesthetic...), selecting a tea from my pantry shelf that's entirely devoted to many loose leaf types and flavors, measuring it out into a tea infuser, selecting a cup or mug that matches the mood i'm feeling, setting a timer for however long that tea is meant to steep, and then finally settling into a steaming mug that i've prepared for myself by curling up with a book, putting on a show i've been meaning to watch, or simply opening the windows and watching the world outside while my cat sits next to me.

i say all of this because, again, it might sound silly, but it's part of a calming ritual helps me either start the day when i get up early before work, settles me from the frustrations and hectic demands of work when i get home, soothes me before bed, or when i'm making it for friends and family, an act of love where each detail is cared for so that i can savor the delight of the person i'm entertaining. i know this isn't much about flavors/types, which i suspect is where you might be headed, but i think it's equally as important because tea preparation can take anywhere between 5-10 minutes, and those minutes should be yours to center yourself.

now, for tea types: (important because tea can be ridiculously expensive and why waste your money on something you won't even reach for twice speaks from devastated experience and tea betrayals)

real quick to touch on before the flavor profile breakdown; tea types differ in caffeine widely. depending on what your goal is with tea, it can have a negative effect on your sleeping schedule (black/matcha- surprisingly high depending on the amount) if you drink concentrated volumes closer to bedtime

i have an awful penchant for black teas— i find them to be full-bodied and with such interesting, heavy flavors that i gravitate to them naturally. since they can be so biting and bitter though, i know many people might choose to soften the tea with sugar or honey to your taste preferences, but....i really just enjoy it plain, i don't tend to alter the taste of my teas if at all. there's been a wide range of tea companies/grocers in general carrying london fog or chai tea mixes in cartons at the store? i've seen them in walmart/krogers/target, and they're fairly decent? rishi and target's brand of london fog mix definitely ties for first place for me if i have to make it quickly at home lol

herbals/greens can be a hit and miss— i really dislike the heavily flavored teas that just have essential oils and shit added to them to make the flavors more pungent, i never enjoy those lol i tend to reach for these though when i'm feeling like i have a cold or like now when i'm currently cramping. a good friend sent me some maple herbal tea from the adirondack, and i'm mourning my last cup of it as it literally has carried me through so many awful period cycles. again, these teas can be flavored with sugar or honey just to add to their sweetness, but i really don't find it necessary as i prefer the original taste of the tea.

white and oolongs are probably my second favorite, but they can be very...light in flavor, almost aromatic instead of bodied. it can sometimes feel like you're drinking heated water with a floral aftertaste and hey, on some days, maybe that's just what you want lol. (again, sweeten how/to your desire, i just prefer not to do so.)

and matcha is a class all on its own lol i know it can be very divisive tea depending on the amount of sweetening you do or don't since it can be almost...fishy? if that's a good way to describe it? this is the only tea i'll add a LOT of sugar/simple syrup to when i order it. my mother thinks it is a bastardized foul but i'll order a 24 oz matcha with 3 pumps of rosewater syrup and it is honestly fixes whatever the hell is wrong with me (for at least 24 hours lol). i wouldn't advise for the matcha premixes in the cartons at the grocery store, i've tried a few and...bleh. there's something so artificial about them (i say, slurping a sugarfied sludge of matcha and rose).

so i literally am opening my pantry to list out a few and their types that i enjoy, to hopefully give a sense of their flavors:

queue mignonne tea, yuzu & earl grey— this one has such a pleasant citrus kick to a typical earl grey flavor, i love it in the mornings to wake up the senses!

maple herbal tea— a mix of chamomile, rooibos, sunflower, calendula, and maple; instantly soothed my aches and cramps, but it could have been a placebo effect just because i loved this tea so damn much lol

sleepytime tea by celestial seasonings— i can't explain this tea haha it's the tea from my childhood. my father would always make this for me when i was sick and i just associate it with warmth.

milk oolong/double milk oolong— has a meaty flavor? literally the only way i can explain it, very deep and heavy on the tongue. but it's one i reach for when i have cramps too, and it's a good staple i keep around.

ma wei moonlight & white peony— VERY LIGHT flavor teas; floral and sweet in nature, moonlight is heavy gardenia scented while the peony is....peony lol.

olbas wellness tea— THIS IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED. this is a swiss herbal tea of over 20 different herbs that i swear to god, will knock your sinuses clear open within five seconds of inhaling/drinking. a little, A LITTLE!! goes such a long way with this tea, it's got such a pungent and unique flavor, i literally just keep it around for the winter to knock myself back into coherence lol

and as a fun little extra, i have to say that my favorite hot drink outside of tea (if it's a possibility for you) is wassail, especially now in the wintertime. it's a recipe from my grandmother and a little different than what you might find online, but basically cider and fruit juice, an orange studded with cloves, cinnamon sticks, and cooked in a crock pot for at least four hours before enjoying; it literally is a balm for the soul, and i'm more than happy to share the full recipe if it's of any interest<3

Would he be a bit more pouty and sulky, possibly more aggressive, does he become more manipulative or is he still as honest as he is? Would he draw away a little bit at first or would he try to push more to even closer (emotionally and physically) to you more often? Ahhh a Blushy ask. Making me put my thinking cap on. Okay here we go.

So it depends on HOW jealous/angry Krow is, but he does tend to act differently (a little or a lot) when he's in A Mood. Say if Dove is talking enthusiastically with someone, and Krow is right there, he'll be a bit sulky and pouty, standing close to them and even bops his head against their shoulder a bit like a cat trying to get your attention and saying (without actually speaking) 'no pay attention to meeee.' This would be his reactions more at a "low" jealousy/anger level. Mid jealousy/anger, he starts acting a little more aggressive. Same situation, he might take your hand, butt into the conversation, a stern expression on his features and asking in a dark tone "W-who is this D-Dove?" and either try to lead you away from the other person, or get whoever Dove is talking to to back off. If confronted about it, he'll get a little antsy, apologize some, saying he got uncomfortable, or that he felt something off about the other person, that he's just trying to look after you. He's still pretty honest, but depending on what you ask, he'll either dodge the question or just flat out not answer. Krow doesn't usually tend to be the manipulative type, that's something more he does if he's out of options. It's pretty obvious when he gets jealous (his eyes literally turning green with envy not withstanding) based purely on his body language, tone of voice, expression and so on. And he'll even tell you he got upset/jealous on whatever the matter was, although he may be a little bashful to admit as such.

As for what can calm him down, physical touch helps a lot (hugging him, taking his hand in your own), words of assurance. For something he wouldn't forgive/feel better about? That's tough. Krow's patience and tolerance for Dove is absurdly high, and he tends to put the blame on OTHER people instead of Dove, even if by all accounts and reasoning it IS Dove's fault. Like even if Dove cheated on him somehow (like kissing someone else), he'd chalk it up to the other person. THEY were the one that lured Dove away from him, THEY were the one that kissed Dove, THEY manipulated Dove. (And regardless, whoever that other person is won't be in the picture much longer...)

But it's also not just a matter of his jealousy, it's also a matter of his... well, for lack of a better term, sanity. A sane and jealous Krow is different from a manic and jealous Krow. And the latter is far more dangerous... But that's something for me to muddle and ponder on for another time.

Thunderfall Official Lore Post - 1

This is the first lore post of many, believe me. I have plenty of worldbuilding to lay out on the table! This is likely the first of two I'll post before Chapter one.. (of course that's not cemented as a timeframe, but it's a loose estimate.)

The giants of Vibrutas, the Vibrutian’s, were a primarily closed off race (atleast to any other intelligent life-forms besides themselves), until Earth’s satellite dishes shot a myriad of signals and messages into the vaccum of deep space.

They are not a friendly sort, or most of them prefer not to be. They are divided up into a multitude of cultures, and some pay tribute and thanks to different deities from their homeworld. (Which will be explored in a different post, once I sort out the details.)

Vibrutian’s have sexual dimorphism displayed in their race; with the females usually being bigger, and having brighter coloration, and the males being smaller and having duller colors. Of course that is not to say that sometimes, in some cases, men could have more vivid coloring, and Women could be more de-saturation; but it isn't common.

Most, if not all Vibrutian’s have very sharp canines, since they are primarily carnivores, Although omnivores are quite common too for the more rustic folk that prefer to live off of farmland. But, they have a unique little quirk; the more predatorily inclined vibrutian’s, have their teeth needing “maintenance” every couple days, or they will get dull. So to prevent this, they usually gnaw or chew on hard objects to sharpen them.

They have bioluminescent markings that span most of their bodies, and change as they get older, becoming more and more intricate with time. These markings are capable of flashing on command, which has made another sub-communication for their kind; and the markings shift between colors depending on how they feel. Like..mood lights!

They are extremely vocal, and often more than not, have special sounds they reserve for being affectionate with a partner, ex- trilling, purring, or even a low growl. So, a growl that a human could perceive as aggressive, is actually more of an "I love you!" sound for them.

Vibrutian’s have complex language all their own, but when speaking to other lifeforms they usually just use a small translator that they can clip onto their helmets or uniforms. But these translators don't tend to be used often..

Minor addition, there are several kinds of dimorphism in their species.. Ex: rare eye-colors, the women actually have lower pitched vocalization than men do, and some markings are more common in certain genders than others.

They have INCREDIBLE hearing, a great sense of smell, and stellar night-vision! Their ears are extremely sensitive though, and a loud noise can easily stun or incapacitate a Vibrutian.

They're fantastic trackers and usually always find what they're after, which is how humans were rocketed to the brink of extinction so quickly.

Their pupils and markings reflect what kind of behavior they will have, but their pupils also contribute to their rarity, as some pupil types are rarer than others. For example, there is one pupil type that is so rare, it's considered a mere legend.

Their teeth also have a lot to do with the individual giant’s behavior; Dulled, rounded canines are mostly for less predatory, and less aggression prone giants, or perhaps those more adapted to eating plants than meat. Sharper, curved or jagged canines are more common in the aggressive sort.

Vibrutian’s are one of the biggest races that exist in the world of Thunderfall; and their heights vary depending on the age of the giant. Adults are in the ranges of 100–120, Teens are from 90—100, etc.

Last but not least, a deeper lore teaser: They are very reverent of the moon, even when it is not the same one from their homeworld.

Hi!! Happy early birthday!!! Can I please get a DC comics or Harry Potter ship 🌲 ?

Likes: I'm huge nerd--straight up an astrophysics and math double major with a philosophy minor, because somehow that seemed like a good idea and they let me do it. My hobbies tend to switch around a lot though and I'm pretty active in quite a few clubs at college (literally ranging from rocketry to debate and student govt) so my sleep schedule is pretty much non-existent. Borderline surviving on caffiene alone at this point...oops.

I'm also really into music--technically a classically trained pianist but I'm more into rock and alt these days.

Dislikes: cooking. I just can't figure it out and I'm quite clumsy so it usually ends in disaster. I'm also not great with hot weather and the outdoors in general--yay allergies :). Not a huge fan of cheesy rom-coms and pop. Chocolate ig? That's just a weird one. No real reason.

Appearance: I'm fairly taller than average for a girl (5'9) and on the slightly heavier side. My hair never stays the same length/colour/style in general for too long because I get bored of it quite quickly. I do tend to switch things up with my style quite often, but I generally go between either really preppy or pretty grunge depending on my mood/schedule that day. I do have a weakness for graphic tees though--especially really nerdy ones or vintage band tees.

Other than that, all I can think to add is that I'm a slytherin and INTJ...yeah that's basically it.

2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?

Generally I'm a 'write as I go' person, especially for the shorter fics I tend to write. Very often I don't even divide a story into chapters until it's finished, or else I find a convenient natural break as I go and decide that's the end of the chapter. I'll scribble out a few notes for myself just to lay out what particular points I want to hit in the story, but they're very broad for the most part; beyond that it's 'write and see where it goes!'

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

Depends entirely on the fic in question. Sometimes I go in with a title, sometimes one comes to me while it's a WIP, sometimes I write the whole thing then sit here like 'mannnn now I gotta figure out a TITLE, ugh'.

What I usually do is try to find a title that encompasses the overall mood or theme of the fic. I'll pull a lot of inspiration, if not always direct quotes, from song lyrics. I tend to roll around a lot of different ideas before I settle on one, and it can be a bit of a frustrating process.

23. Best writing advice for other writers?

Very cliche and you've heard it a thousand times, but truly - write for yourself first. Write the fics that you want to read. Write because you want to, write because there's something inside you that you just have to get out into words. Tell the stories you would still want to tell even if it was just an empty universe and your own ears to hear them.

24. Worst writing advice anyone ever gave you?

I honestly can't remember much writing advice I've been given.

29. What’s your revision or editing process like?

Honestly? Minimal. I don't really do 'rough drafts' for most of my fics - I write so much in my head first that by the time I get to typing, it's probably 80% fine already. I'll give even oneshots a dozen read-throughs or more as I'm writing them, for sure, but most edits are just changing a word here or a sentence there, nothing all that major.

(Fortress Funtimes is the exception at the moment, because that is my longest, most involved WIP by a factor of five probably, and it's already gotten a lot of edits as I go. I'm still having to get used to doing that, being patient with myself as I work through all the moving pieces.)

56. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

There are a lot of things I love about my writing, but I'll go for the obvious one here - capturing character dialogue. I flatter myself that I've always been exceptionally good at writing dialogue you can hear, and pinning down the nuances of how each character speaks, especially when writing an already canon character. (That said, even knowing I'm good at it, I'm delighted every time somebody comments to confirm it haha)

your matchup is... the bloody painter! and it's not because of the art thing, trust me on this okay, just hear me out for a moment. while, yes, you and helen both enjoy art, helen is also really big on horror and the whole goth subculture. while he doesn't dress the part, you will catch him listening to the music and digesting both the art and literature. so. trust me.

helen is pretty reserved and not one to let people close to him but once you break the ice and get past his apathetic exterior, you'll find that he's actually pretty... i wouldn't say he's open once you get to know him, but it's fairly obvious that he'll become less reserved around you, and he'll actually show that he cares about you. does that make sense?

moving on, helen doesn't give food a lot of thought, to be honest. he likes what he likes, and he hates what he hates. he would be a terrible food critic. he does, however, know and understand that cooking is an art, and he has nothing but respect for you and your talents and is 100% willing to be a taste tester for you if you ever need one. he quite enjoys your cooking, if we're being honest, and you have introduced him to a wide variety of different foods from different cultures and he just... loves seeing you enjoy yourself.

now going on to art, because this is helen and it's unavoidable. helen is more of a traditional artist, so digital art isn't his area of expertise, but he would absolutely love to see any and all of your drawings. you two could even draw together! and he has like numerous sketchbooks just full to the brim of sketches and fully-fledged out pieces if you ever want to see them. he loves sharing his own art as well. and, if you give him permission, he'll probably incorporate you into his art. he'll sketch you or add you into the background of one of his paintings. art is his love language, and he would love to involve you in it.

helen doesn't give gifts often, mostly because it's not something that crosses his mind, but sometimes he'll be out and about, and he'll see something. something strawberry-themed or an accessory that would look good with your goth or punk clothing. and, of course, the only natural thing to do is to buy it and gift it to you. so, every once in a while, he'll just hand you a random gift with no real explanation other than a shrug or 'i saw it and thought about you.'

and if you start rambling to him about a certain topic that has caught your interest, or about your day-to-day life in general, helen will silently listen to you. he likes listening to you ramble, especially when he's mindlessly sketching something. and should you apologize for rambling too much, he'll just momentarily meet your gaze and say, 'don't apologize. i like the sound of your voice.' before directing his attention back to whatever he was sketching.

any and all information you give him about the things you like and dislike will be neatly tucked away into a corner of his mind. he's the type to remember everything you tell him, even the minor things. you're a very important part of his life, and he does everything he can to make sure you know that.

Compliment your writing!

This is difficult, not because I think there's nothing to compliment, but that I'm not good at articulating those sorts of things about my own work. It's so easy to verbalize the flaws, but that much harder to verbalize virtues.

I think one thing my writing has is a lot of emphasis on lighting and color to flesh out moods and descriptions. I wear tinted migraine glasses, so I'm both very sensitive to lighting but also my color perception is stilted because of the tint, so I like to play with those features of scenes.

3. How do you react to negative comments?

I'm very grateful that I get very few; probably because people can't find me in the first place to be mean.

When I do get negative comments, I tend to ignore them. Sometimes I'll block people. If the comment is rude, sometimes I'll delete it. It depends on the situation.

One of the few times I acknowledged one publicly was when I got a weird copy/paste hateful spam one in Russian when I translated one of my drabbles into Russian about how "nothing from that country could have artistic value." Awful. I'm not Russian, I just speak it as a third language, but that comment would have been inappropriate to say to anyone.

13. Do you ever write crossovers?

Sometimes. The crossovers I've written have been between different TF continuities, but I don't tend to enjoy writing crossovers. If the idea really grabs me, I'm open to it. They just don't usually grab me.

23. Where do you usually write?

My office, which is actually just the other bedroom in our apartment. I prefer writing with a desktop because I feel more comfortable with a mechanical keyboard rather than awkward thumbs.

I touch type (what I was taught to call the homerow method) so I type very quickly. And loudly. I am regularly told that I can be heard typing downstairs or across rooms, but that's just my default speed.

O) On Cloud Nine: What he is like when in love/how obvious it is for others/how he expresses his feelings.

Debito is not necessarily much different from his usual self when he is feeling particularly in love with you: his naturally warm and energetic personality remains the same, and his behavior doesn't change much either. However, something you have come to notice over time is the fact that in those moments, when he's fully embracing his love for you, he tends to unconsciously seek affectionate gestures and touches from you, most of the time physical; whether it's a kiss, a caress, or hand-holding, he will feel pleased after having felt your hands on his body, feeling reassured that you love him, just as much as he loves you. Although Debito is not always the loudest person in the room wherever he goes, what can be agreed on by everyone is that he has an assertive personality, that never goes unnoticed. He has complete confidence in himself and has no issue expressing his feelings to others clearly, which he most often does without realizing it, through his habits of speaking his mind without filters and acting on instinct without hesitation. Thus, his intentions are, more often than not, obvious for other people to see and understand, including his love for you: he never hides from anyone the feelings he has for you, no matter who he is surrounded by and where he is. The ways Debito expresses his feelings vary, depending on the day and his mood, but whichever means he chooses to convey his feelings to you, you're always satisfied, always pleased: most often, he will tell you he loves you in a very direct and straightforward way, other times he will express it through his body language and gestures, and sometimes, he'll do both at the same time. Whether it is during a romantic date, around lunch or dinner, in crowded public places, or under the sheets of his bed, Debito always finds new ways to communicate his love to you, to spread it over to you.

I stood in the middle of Debito's bedroom, neither tall nor proud: the day had been exhausting, for all the divisions, and all I longed for at that instant was a good night of sleep, of refreshing rest. Now that I had gotten ready for bed, I stretched my arms to the ceiling before I made my way to the bed, on which Debito was already lying; but as my bare feet paced the cold parquet, I suddenly felt a firm hand grab my wrist, out of nowhere.

"Debito?"

By the time I could realize what had happened, I was already in his embrace: Debito had pulled me on the bed with him and I was now sitting over his body, lying under mine.

"What are you—"

But I cut myself short, for words were useless; I stared down at his face, his silver hair down, covering part of his face, and a gleam in his left eye. A gleam I had grown familiar with, a sign I could read with ease.

Debito was feeling particularly loving tonight, I knew him well enough by that point to tell.

"Alright..." I said in a murmur as I closed my eyes with a gentle smile.

I leaned forward just slightly, enough to be close to him, close to his face, on which I rested one of my hands. At the contact of my palm against his skin, he pressed his cheek deeper into it, following the movement of my hand in rhythm. He quietly exhaled a deep breath and closed his eye, cherishing the moment, and I approached his face yet even more, this time to kiss his lips tenderly; he kept his eye closed the whole way through, but his hands held tight onto my lower back.

When I slowly pulled away and leaned back, his amber eye was open, staring right at me, at all of me with an intense feeling of love. Still without speaking a word, both of his hands on my lower back slipped under my shirt, which was in fact his; I knew that seeing me in his shirt made him want me even more, made him want to hear and feel my love even more.

And it was perfectly fine for him not to speak: I did not need him to talk to know how much he loved me.

an introduction to the creator

I find it difficult to introduce myself to others. I think it stems from the fact that my mind is constantly scattered and I feel as if I’m a hundred different people all at once. Despite that, people do tend to have their own little views of me, as we all do of each other. “Why are you so quiet?” is a question that never gets old. I’ve been asked that on multiple occasions because when people first meet me, I come across as quiet and shy, even introverted, and I just don’t seem to fit into any other boxes. I don’t blame them, though. I’m a simple girl — if I don’t have anything to say, I choose not to speak. But that never really came as a problem to me. In fact, I’ve heard that quiet people have the loudest minds, and I genuinely believe that this rings true for me. I may not say a lot to the people around me, but if you hand me a pen and a piece of paper, words will bleed from my mind like an open wound that refuses to halt. Or, if you find a topic that is of paramount importance to me — love, poetry, jazz, space, film or music to name a few — it will take a village to shut me up.

Recently, I had a conversation with a friend of mine and she brought up a very interesting point about all of this: it’s impossible for us people to put a single label on our personalities and then just accept that. We don’t work like that — depending on who we’re with, our personalities differ and therefore, we might be introverted in a given situation but extroverted in another. It’s so obvious, but (news flash!), we just really love labels so in the reality that we live in, that’s not really a thing... Anyway, with that being said, I think it’s important for me to state that yes, I do come off as sullen and fragile, and yes, more often than not, I keep my quiet, but I wouldn’t let that hinder others from approaching me. Some of my friends have told me that when they first met me, they were intimidated by me. I wish I could pinpoint what it is about me, but it seems to be a reoccurring artefact amongst quite a few of the people who have met me. And I do notice that when I’m around new people, there’s this nervous energy all over, and a struggle to get past it... But listen, I wouldn’t agree with the way the world sees me at all. If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be ‘nonchalant.’ I’ve always loved that word. Take it as you please, for me it means to be at ease with your surroundings and understanding that when the sun sets and the moon comes out, it’s just you against the world. There’s no need to waste your energy on listening to others’ bullshit, especially if it gets in the way of staying true to yourself. I learnt that it was best to shut off the relentless noises of the world in order to retain my sanity a long time ago.

But really, who is this brunette? In general, I’m a very artistic person, always eager to pour all of my creativity into the mouths of anyone who is willing to drink from the chaos of my mind. I write poetry when it gets dark. I listen to Jeff Buckley when I wish to be swoon, be it through his mesmerizing vocals or captivating words. I make mixtapes to capture every single one of my erratic moods on tape and preserve them as fragments of who I am or who I was during different moments in my life. They’re like love letters. I hope that one day when I’m gone, someone will find these tapes and listen to them, and that they will give them some type of an idea about me... I take photos on film because they radiate this nostalgic melancholia mixed with a brittle sweetness, a one-of-a-kind ambience which you could never get from digital photographs. Visiting art museums is a hobby of mine. Obviously, I keep a journal. About two months ago, I even put out an EP entitled ‘Sincerely, Brunette’ under the mononym Encens (French for ‘incense’ because, well, I really fucking love incense...). At best, it is an ode to my everlasting love for the ‘90s — a decade which my life seems to revolve around through no fault of my own — as it contains a trip hop-esque sound and embodies lyrics that are, at times, almost nonsensical or just really... Absurd. My song ‘Flower Fender’ is a literal cry for help. ‘Lifetimes apart / This may be the death of me’ — what the fuck?

If we’re already on the subject, let me fill you in a bit... Simply put, music is my everything. My top one priority in life. Without it, I think I would have called it quits a long time ago. It is the only thing that drives me forward. It is my main source of inspiration. But this bittersweet romance is actually not all that old. Yes, music has been around me my whole life and I grew up listening to good ol’ dad music during carrides with my family, but it was only a few years ago that I truly fell in love with it. I discovered (what I like to call) ‘real music’ when I first watched this show I’m sure Gen Z is all too familiar with — you guessed it, ‘Stranger Things’ — at the tender and (extremely) gullible age of 13, and was suddenly cast into a rabbit hole of ‘80s music. Michael and Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Wham! —  I listened to them all in what seemed like a heartbeat. A year later, the Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ came out and my infatuation with old music blossomed even further. But not only that, an interest in this decade that I had no proper sense of, mainly because I was born into the 21st century — which, I shall mind you, has always felt like a curse — began eating me alive. Almost overnight, I started collecting vinyl records and cassettes, dressing myself in high waisted denim jeans, and shopping exclusively at second hands. I watched every coming-of-age film known to man — ‘The Breakfast Club’, ‘Say Anything’, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’, ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’... — and covered every inch of my room with posters of icons like Madonna and Prince. Every one of my Spotify playlists consisted of music released no later than the mid-90s. This obsession was no longer solely dedicated to the ‘80s but extended it to all decades prior to it, as well as including the ‘90s. Wishing I could go back in time to be one of Warhol’s muses, to see Hendrix live, and to live through the MTV age all became pipe dreams which are now just a part of my lifestyle. Speaking of, I was voted the ‘class retro’ (whatever that means...) in middle school and ‘born in the wrong decade’ in high school — coincidence much?

Now that I’m 19 and fresh out of high school, I have decided to let everyone take a glimpse at this scattered mind of mine by bringing life to the Attic, a magazine dedicated to all things that are dear to me. Here, one will find articles and interviews about music, art, fashion, and quite literally anything else that might seem worth mentioning to me, and lots and lots of photography (it is what I love most, right after music). The Attic is the ultimate guide to chic ‘90s coolness, and, I guess, a personal outlet for me to share my thoughts with others. It is a free space for anyone to speak their minds and share their art, including you readers. 

With that being said, I welcome you all to the Attic, a taste of unlived nostalgia... And anything that ignites a flame within me.

The Sun Signs

Hi guys! So I decided to make a series. I’m going to do: each sign in each planet, each house placement for every planet, and the aspects for all the planets. This of course is going to be over the course of a month; it’s going to take a while to cover everything LMAO. I’m thinking of doing this and alternating between asteroids, “placements that make people ____”, and astrology observations. Without further ado, here’s my take on the sun signs based off of people I know: 

🪁 Aries: These people are go-getters and know what they want when they want it. I feel like a lot of people associate Aries with being extroverts because they’re a fire sign, but I know ALOT of Aries and 95% of them have been shy. It’s more of the Aries moons that I’ve noticed that have been more extroverted. However other aspects in your chart can determine this. They’re also extremely competitive and very hard workers. Every Aries I’ve ever met has worked their ass off, and they keep working their asses off until they perfect everything. Some negatives are that Aries people can be super dramatic as well, and don’t take other people’s advice. Even when they ask for it, if their mind is set on something, there’s no going back. 

🪁 Taurus: Boy oh boy, do these people just want to go on a 10 year vacation and not have to deal with anyone ever again. These people love the finer things in life; they most likely have a creative hobby or have a creative streak. They also love good food and they love a good nap. Now everyone says Tauruses are super chill, and honestly, it depends on other aspects in their chart. I’ve known super chill Tauruses and super chaotic Tauruses. I’ve noticed the chaotic Tauruses have a lot of Aries energy in their chart i.e. Aries Mercury and Aries Mars (no offense Aries). I’d say a downside of Tauruses is that they can be lazy because they love to relax (however this depends on other aspects) and they can be apathetic a lot. I’ve found that Tauruses can very much disconnect themselves from a situation when they have to, so they can keep calm and grounded. 

🪁 Gemini: These people are social and will talk for hours. I don’t mean this in a bad way. Even the more introverted Geminis, once you get to know them they will talk for days especially about things they’re passionate about. I think it’s a cute and endearing trait. A lot of people hate on Geminis, but I don’t get it. One of my best friends is a Gemini, and she’s the most genuine person I’ve ever met. In fact, most Geminis I’ve met have not been two-faced, at least from my experience. I think that Geminis are also very funny, every Gemini I’ve met has made me laugh my ass off. Every single one. They have a great sense of humor and a very engaging personality. You can see this with Gemini politicians, they’re very charismatic and know how to entertain a crowd. I’d say the more negative side of Gemini is that they can be very flighty about what they want and while they’re social, they’re not always the best communicators when it comes to interpersonal relationships. 

🪁 Cancer: I’ve found that Cancers are either extremely extroverted or extremely introverted; and this can change depending on their mood LMAO. I can speak from experience; I am a Cancer. Sometimes I feel like being social and talking; other times I hate people and I just don’t wanna deal with them. Cancers also always have a softness to them; even if they have a lot of fire energy. I don’t know how to describe it other than they just look like water itself. I’d say some obvious downsides of Cancer are that they can be extremely moody and they can be snippy. If you catch them in the wrong mood, they’ll snap at you. I’m guilty of this as well. 

🪁 Leo: Again, a lot of people don’t like Leos but I love them. The Leos I’ve met have not been self centered at all- in fact they’re the exact opposite. Perhaps it’s the underdeveloped Leo suns who are self-centered, but all the ones I’ve met have always put others before themselves. They’re not cocky at all. I’ve also found that Leos all have really nice hair; this is a stereotype that’s definitely true. I’ve never met a Leo with bad hair. I’ve also found that they’re super creative and even if they don’t have a creative hobby, they have a creative flair. They’re also REALLY funny. I feel like they’re definitely slept on in terms of funny placements. This is the sign that rules “performing” in a way, so of course they’re going to be entertaining. 

🪁 Virgo: My favorite sign. I love all the signs in their own way, but Virgo is my favorite. Every single Virgo I’ve met I’ve loved. I get along so well with them. Virgos are shit on for being critical but it’s because they know that the people in question can achieve so much. Virgos also save that critical energy for themselves and can tear themselves apart if they’re not perfect. These people are also always putting others before themselves and always try to help everyone. Remember the 6th house rules one’s sense of usefulness. They feel that if they’re not being useful in some way to people that they’re not good enough. I literally just want to hug every Virgo. Also they’re not boring at all. FOH. Virgos are literally so much fun. 

🪁 Libra: These people are just so likable. No matter what they do, you just tend to like them for some reason. They can adapt to any type of personality and they have a way of making everyone like them. This is why Libra suns tend to be popular; they’re very bubbly and sociable. Even if they’re not popular, they’re well-liked. However, this can be their downfall as well. They can be superficial and fake. They tend to flip flop in arguments alot, and they try to play on both sides which can create more tension between two people. Also, have you ever seen a Libra try to make a decision? LMAO. Love them though. 

🪁 Scorpio: Your eyes. Holy fuck. You can tell if someone is a Scorpio just by the gaze in their eyes. They stare into your fucking soul. Even if their eyes are a light color, there’s always a sense of mystery and darkness to them. Despite this sense of power they give off, once you get to know them they’re literally the biggest teddy bears. Literally just go up to one and talk to them, they’ll talk to you and be all nice and happy. I’ve noticed that Scorpios just don’t like to talk about their emotions or what goes on in their heads either. They like to look strong and they don’t show their vulnerable side to just anybody. This would be one of their downfalls. They have a hard time being vulnerable and letting people in. They look fierce, but they’re sweet and just want a hug. 

🪁 Sagittarius: The funniest people ever. I’ve never met a non-funny Sagittarius. I work with two of them and they have me in tears laughing. They’re also very smart and you can talk to them about anything. Even if they don’t get the best grades in school (which I rarely see, the Valedictorian and the Salutatorian were both Sagittariuses) they always have a base knowledge about everything. They’re also extremely chill and try not to take life too seriously. I’ve found that a downside of this placement is that they can be very flighty in love. They have a hard time settling down which can be difficult for someone who wants to date them. Sagittariuses crave independence and they’re usually not the relationship types. Also they have a hard time taking things seriously. 

🪁 Capricorns: My guilty pleasure. I’ve dated two of them and 75% of the people I’ve liked were Capricorn suns. I feel like people overlook the appeal of Capricorns. Scorpios are the “sexy” ones, but have you seen how attractive Capricorns can be? Remember, in Tarot, the Devil rules Capricorn, so they can be devilishly handsome or darkly beautiful. Even if they’re not the most attractive person in the room, they have an aura to them that’s intriguing. They speak softly and carry a big stick. They don’t have to impress anyone; they know that they’re powerful. I’d say some downsides to Capricorns are that they have a hard time expressing their emotions and they tend to shove them down; which can result in them exploding later on. They also have a tendency to be arrogant, and can dish it out, but they can’t take it. 

🪁 Aquariuses: My second guilty pleasure. I just love the Saturn energy, what can I say? Aquariuses are such lovable weirdos. I don’t know how else to describe them. Every single one I’ve met has been unique in some way and they don’t try to fit in either. They’re proud of being different. My boss is an Aquarius and I felt self conscious one day because I had a different color shirt on than everyone else and he told me “Why would you want to fit in when you could stand out?”. They’re those types of people. They’re also really funny as well, their minds just work so differently from everyone else. They’ll say the most outlandish things and you’ll die laughing. Some downsides? You could know them for years and you’ll just find out things about them. They don’t share things about themselves and it’s hard to get to know them. They also can be very emotionally cold. They don’t like emotions. 

🪁 Pisces: Softies. They’re literally soft teddy bears. No matter how big or tall or muscular they could get, you just look into their eyes and that softness is there. They’re really sweet and tend to be more introverted. They aren’t the types who go out of their way to talk to strangers at a party. They love comfort and they like to feel secure. They’re also very dreamy if that makes sense. They always look like they came out of a fantasy world. I’d say a major downside would be that they’re overly sensitive. They cannot take a joke. I remember I was telling my co worker who’s a Pisces about the negative traits of Pisces and one of them was lazy; and he got SO offended. He was like “I am NOT lazy.” LMAO. 

Also guys, as I’ve said, other things in your natal chart can affect these traits. For the next asteroid by the way, I’m between asteroid Bellona and Lilith. Which one would you guys want to see? I’ve been getting a lot of questions about those two. :)
