Lord Hater wants a girlfriend as a status symbol, a life achievement, and hasn't thought about what he wants out of marriage aside from kids and a standard white picket fence domestic life.
If he ever got a girlfriend (HAH!) he'd be at a loss of what to do because okay. That's a goal checked off. Now what?
Then he’d self-sabotage himself by continuously putting his foot in his mouth. Of course, that's only if trying to get married day one doesn’t scare her off first.
Honestly I can't see him dating a woman not because he doesn’t want to, but because he's a loser who needs to examine how he treats them.

• Daal is already placing the needs of herself and what she wants above others, to the point of putting them in danger. She didn’t even turn back to check on her friends to make sure they were following her until she noticed their presence again. Prime pickings for a Sith Apprentice.
• The Sith Ghost was already done for. She couldn’t lift the rock, even with her powers. She would have starved or perished anyway. Daal Chose to Kill Her.
• The Sith Mother has already proven herself a liar to Daal on Her First Test. Daal is willing to overlook this as long as she gets a chance at a different life.
• The Sith Ghost’s saber had a wing motif on them. She could have known the Sith Mother personally once. She is a direct parallel to Daal and a glimpse into the future she is choosing for herself. The Sith Ghost most likely had a similar life, lured in by promises of power and change like everyone else. She achieved it and then she hated what she became. All that violence and sacrifice only to end up hiding on the nowhere planet that Daal is so desperate to get away from, probably running away from her own past.
• Despite everything, Daal reached for the light. She fell, but she reached first. Maybe there’s hope.
• The Sith Mother might send Daal back to her home world to kill her friends as her final test, therefore severing all connections to her past and who she used to be, turning her into a true Sith.

I like the trans apollo zine concept but PERSONALLY the decision to do solely trans masc headcanons...I'm not a fan of it. Fandom spaces are already so implicitly unwelcoming to transfem creators and hcs, I was pretty disheartened to see that written out so plainly like that when the creators responded to an anon asking about transfem hcs.

👀👀 rlly interesting read on ovan, would love to hear some abt ur hcs on him n corbenik
(Now on DW!)
So it's been a hot minute since I watched Terminal Disc so my memory of the details of the canon are very vague, but I definitely think it's likely that the Epitaphs attached themselves to players in reverse numerical order, making Ovan the first and unintentionally the template for how becoming an Epitaph-PC would play out.
Corbenik is sort of funny as a Phase because the way it's laid out in the Epitaph, Corbenik serves no function until the Wave wipes out its intended target, and it's left behind to observe the void. As long as the system state isn't disturbed and no new AI begins to emerge, Corbenik stays passive theoretically forever -- but once it is disturbed, it rouses the rest of the Wave to come clean up what was left unfinished.
(I recognise this isn't how we see it play out in R1, I'm basing this on the idea that Morganna designed the Wave to be essentially self-propagating against Aura. The stalemate is the point, the rolling waves razing any fertile ground for her to develop on in favour of perpetual despair and the call of the void.)
With Corbenik as the rearguard of the apocalypse, it could have easily been the most active (least inactive?) of the Phases during the period of calm after Aura takes over Morganna's duties -- with no AI competing with Aura available to suppress, it was essentially on standby, latching onto Ovan the moment he showed up and then doing nothing until it registered the AIDA that also attached itself to Ovan.
Which is the thing that really fucks Ovan over, I think. The body timeshare he has with Tri-Edge is stressful enough, but Corbenik is also perpetually making him identify himself as the greatest threat to system integrity. So he's essentially getting a triple dose of the Epitaph "the solution is Fucking Kill Yourself" heightened self-destructive urge -- from the nature of the Cursed Wave, from the Vagrant AI-fication of the Phases and being (in part) his own natural-born enemy.
On top of this, Corbenik is perpetually calling to the other Phases like "over here! I've identified the enemy! Here is an AI we need to stop from reaching self-actualisation!" So candidates are drawn to him, unconsciously recognise him as having seniority, and then immediately identify him as the threat to be eliminated. People keep forming a kind of proxy disordered attachment to him, feeling compelled to follow his orders but also feeling threatened by his presence and become driven by the urge to destroy him.
Haseo is particularly vulnerable to this because Skeith and Corbenik are so intertwined in their roles, the first Phase is the one the last calls the strongest, and his personal sense of betrayal only amplifies the destructive resonance. And the influence goes both ways, the more Skeith perceives Corbenik's host as the main threat, the more Corbenik calls on Skeith as the vanguard to eliminate that threat. Haseo's (perceived) perception of him directly influences Ovan's perception of himself -- with everyone else Ovan is very particular about asserting his own reality, but with Haseo, the way Haseo sees him takes priority over how Ovan sees himself.

(reverse dc au) Mike sees Evan as a teenage version of himself and is trying to get his 'past self' to realize how much of a dirtbag he(Michael) is lmao
oh my god, i literally gasped and my hand flew up to cover my mouth like some cringe hallmark movie actress
that's... oh my god. Michael mistaking Evan's kindness toward him for his past self "pretending" to be kind in order to trick him, or maybe Michael thinks his "teenage self" actually believes he's capable of anything other than cruelty and destruction and decides to teach his "teenage self" the hard way that NO, he isn't, and all he will ever be worthy of is punishment and pain.
Maybe Michael hears his "teenage self" claiming to be Evan and is so friggin mad that his "teenage self" would DARE corrupt sweet little Evan's memory with such a blatant lie.
I wonder if there's anything that would ever make Mike realize the truth. Maybe he realizes as Evan is dying; maybe Evan had some surgery or other, and Mike sees the remnants of the surgery while he's ripping Evan apart (similar to Mike's death scene in the og dire consequences au), and he tries comforting Evan in his final moments but Evan's too scared of him for the comfort to work.
Or maybe Mike never finds out the truth, and if Evan's ghost doesn't move on, Evan is stuck trying to hide from Mike for all eternity for fear of what Mike will do if he gets his hands on him.
I can easily imagine Evan being forced to see just how much Mike hates himself, and the lengths Mike is willing to go to torture himself (or his past self), as another form of torture, too. Evan still loves his big brother after everything, and seeing how much Mike hates himself hurts. both emotionally and physically, since Mike is taking that hatred out on Evan. Maybe, if Evan's ghost stays, he risks revealing himself to Michael because he wants to prove to Mike that he doesn't have to hate himself. Whether or not revealing himself is a mistake depends on how angsty I'm feeling, tbh

At work today I accidentally revealed the fact that I don't watch Youtube videos when I have Youtube open. I don't even usually listen to music while I'm at work (unless I'm the only one around), but I put in my earbuds at lunch to listen to "Broken Heart (Thirteen Valleys)" and I even had it open to the music video on YT and even the temptation of how pretty Stuart is in it was not enough to make me watch it I just stood outside of the class I was going to support after lunch with my earbuds in listening to it and staring off with my phone out in front of me in my hands but I was clearly not looking at it. A 6th grader I'd seen earlier in the day (during the class where I actually do my job - so he's one of the students I work with, although I'm just now getting to know the 6th graders who I'm working with this year) even stopped on his way into the class I was waiting for to say hi to me and I was so engrossed in listening that all I did was say hi to him even though I totally remembered his name. :/ (I always try to say hi to students and use their names when they say hi to me so they know I remember them. I'm pretty good with names and faces but every now and then I'll accidentally call a kid by the totally wrong name or I'll just completely blank on their name and I am deathly embarrassed every time. It doesn't usually happen though, once I learn it, but I'm still learning ALL of the 6th graders' names - the 30 or so 6th graders I'm working with this year - so I especially want to prove to those kiddos that I remember their names.)

new idea (not a theory because... I don't wanna dig up lore evidence for this):
teyvat is a bubble on the water (yes, like that one line scaramouche says to traveler in inazuma). as in, the firmament is still there -- we all know the firmament theory by this point -- so yes the dome shape, and the borders of that dome are the bubble's surface. not, like, a "bubble universe" -- I mean a literal bubble. "suface tension in the water" bubble. so beyond (beneath) teyvat would be some kind of deep water. the abyss is like a sea, I guess? and by this I really do just mean the abyss, not the other underground places like enkanomiya, irminsul, khaenri'ah, etc.
paimon is afraid of drowning and we did fish her out of the sea east of mondstadt...
also. this isn't evidence but more like. an illustration. the summer event with klee this year, we basically went into a projected world, right? there was this whole mechanic with hydro eidolons, preprints, streaming projections. and in the mary ann quest in fontaine, we also have oceanids recreating stories and a whole world for it too. so it's not really that far-fetched to think that a world can be a projection, and such projections are associated with hydro. illusions (and dreams) in genshin are usually associated with hydro.
so now consider: teyvat is not just a bubble, but a projected world inside a bubble. a hologram out of some kind of blueprint.
and maybe this is why mona is using hydromancy to seek the truth of the world. when she looks at the stars, she's looking at the bubble's surface. we also got to scry with water in enkanomiya to deal with illusions iirc. it's a whole thing. (yes I know there's a high chance mona is actually a star/outsider of teyvat, that's not important here. she doesn't seem to remember that, or at least, she acts like it.)
tangent: alice said that the borders are getting fragile. since she watches over the border, I want her to be a hydro user. either that, or barbeloth is one, since she's mona's master.
