alright gloam eyed queen fans i'll toss a bone out there.
what if the gloam eyed queen is the alter half of Melina? Kind of like how St. Trina is the alter half of Miquella, or how Radagon and Marika are one and the same but also separate?
#melina is the daughter of marika#it is not arguable anymore as multiple pieces of lore in the DLC tell us this#including the parallels between messmer and melina on top of that#but what if they are in a way on eand the same#i still dont think this theory works due to timelines#but its a neat theory i've been sitting on idk#elden ring#melina#gloam eyed queen

copy pasting my knight papyrus take from my main
ok so im bored and i know no one will probably read this so im gonna lay out my papyrus knight theory/au timeline
for simplicity ill break it into three segments: what happened before to set up this chain of events, how and why papyrus does it, and bare bones evidence
1 before deltarune
generally this is working off my "gaster is bad at math theory" which, to summarize, basically says gaster started as a scientist in deltarune with 2 kids (sans and paps) accidentily fucks up the math and teleports to undertale, uses deltarunes superior tech to create the core, fucks up the math and falls in, frisk/player pulls up, after a bit sans and paps dip but gaster fucks up the math postmortem and they get stuck in deltarune resulting in papyrus becoming a hermit who accidentally opens a darkworld in his closet and then does the fucking grinch smile and causes a ruckus
2 why tho
how papyrus does it: something something prophecy, destiny, gaster fuckery, what have you. effectively via the same plot convenient saving grace that allows us to close the darkworlds and control kris
why does he do it: same reason he spares frisk in geno. he sees that characters like kris, berdly, susie and noelle and knows that they can do better, they just need to try. and what better reason to try than life threatening adventure? (sidenote: i fucking despise when people make the excuse of "Oh HeS bEiNg ~MaNiPuLaTeD~ bY ______" like no shut up let papyrus be morally ambiguous dammit) he is also likely aware of the titan situation and is just deadass like "NO I CAN TAKE THEM IN A 1V1 I THINK" also it makes sense narratively due to his incomplete character arc
3 DA FAX
the closet the chapter 2 darkworld was likely started from can fit and i quote "a large person" (especially combined with the skeletons in my closet line in undertale), he has been set up by sans to have a late game appearance, no alibis in chapter 1 or 2, in chapter 2 the "trousling bones" mentioned when interacting with the door of sans' house grows distant as another darkworld closes, as mentioned in section 2 his arc is still incomplete and as mentioned in my papyrus backstory post we dont even have a clue as to half the shit he's hiding, as a more meta reason bonetrousle was originally the main theme of deltarune, the "secret name" line from papyrus qna 2, the jevil reference dialogue in papyrus qna 2, and probably the most solid motive out of the candidates. that being the fact he believes so much in that people can do good if they try, to exercise that from a more cynical perspective of these beliefs (i.e people wont try unless they have to) could look like forcing them by way of obscure supernatural prophecy and lifechanging perilous adventure
bonus: why other candidates are dumb
gerson is fucking dead
gaster, while likely behind the secret bosses, seems a bit occupied with fucking with reality and would rather cast someone else (like his son????)
dess is currently entangled in the code and likely cant have much effect on the actual world
mrs. holiday seems like a better candidate for character development by darkworld than creator of darkworld
asriel is at college
kris has been controlled by us for most of the game and i aint see them open a darkworld beyond the one post chapter 2
player, i dont know about you guys, but i have not opened a darkworld
new character sounds REALLY boring tbh
ralsei, rouxls, and any darkner candidate are ruled out due to queens speech
#deltarune#undertale#papyrus#deltarune theory#papyrus undertale#knight papyrus#papyrus is the knight#papyrus the skeleton#the great papyrus#knight deltarune#in this essay i will#essay

i was being a completely sane person today (/s) and was creating a timeline tree for snm would anyone even be interested in that. and collecting my shipping thoughts (or specifics about them being a couple etc). know that i still consider my knowledge of the franchise as poor. its just tidying it up in my head so when i talk about something i can pinpoint a specific thing (i was too deep in fnaf theorizing so now i have to suffer thru a franchise that doesnt even have a canon)
in short/tldr the comics are the base that happened in every possible timeline and everything else is derived from that, happening after, except the cartoon, which shows some events the same way so that would be more intertwined; not everything is connected/within one timeline. and the cartoon is my most fav and where i see them as a true couple.
long rant ahead
on one hand i really like the time travel theory where its like comics -> ttg -> cartoon etc by them travelling back in time for that, however there are many holes especially thinking about their families and stuff so
i like the idea of things branching off. one branch is comics - htr - cartoon, as something more intertwined
second is comics -> ttg -> poker night 2 (since it references ttg events) (idk bout 1 i havent played/seen that)
third would be comics -> ttiv (or comics -> htr -> ttiv, i have no idea atm if bosco's is mentioned in the comics but it is in htr and mentioned in ttiv. ttiv is also set in the year it came out, so theres a huge gap inbetween ttiv and htr but i wouldnt say its where the ttg games happened!)
and i dont mean this in like a multiverse way, since the creator seems to dislike that, its simply just a very loose canon that differs with each installment (simply due to different people working on these imo. nothing too deep imo)
but the juicy part!! i even made brackets that im too lazy to remake digitally so i will just write it out for each bigger installment. im excluding poker night 1 as i havent played it nor watched much gameplay
M = married, BF = best friends (in all technically)
comics: M - unlikely; BF - yes absolutely
htr: M - possible; BF - yes
cartoons: M - i take it as canon here. BF - yes million percent
ttg all seasons: M - no; BF - yes.
poker night 2: M - not sure, implied dating, i take that as good enough; BF - yes
ttiv: M - absolutely not. not a couple at all. BF - they seem too tense, yes, but from my experience playing, their interactions were imo the worst in all of their media, so i wasnt buying it at some points
note - ttiv has to be like the straightest they ever were and i also see it in S.P.'s more recent work. im looking too deep into that, perhaps, but im just thinking were never gonna get anything similar to what we got from back in the 90s again, if theres any future projects
people are also saying they got married like 4 times and its making me a bit confused here. do people mean cartoon, htr dress up card, cake topper and tdph ring scene or am i missing something big?? because to me that is married once, other ones being just for jokes (first one as well but its less vague), and in the ttg games its so extremely vague i cant count that (being realistic here) that said its still fun to joke about them getting married several times, but in this case wouldnt it be more of a marriage per timeline?
and to end this, a personal tierlist
my most fave obviously is the cartoon. not only is it the easiest to work with for me, with the fast pacing and short watch time (but ofc i wish it was longer) i absolutely love how their relationship is depicted there, even if a lot of stuff there is just jokes, but if everything is a joke then its also fine to take everything as canon within this media, to me! like when haters say that people only take the wedding scene out of the intro and ignore the rest - as if the other stuff couldnt happen (isnt one of the shots them fighting a giant octopus, which they end up having an episode about too. like cmon. anything goes here) even if it was contained within this specific part of the franchise, im ok with calling them a couple here. and its S tier overall
another S tier is the comics. nothing else to say
HTR is like A tier to me, only taking off points because its soooo sloooowwww and playing it after watching the series took 3 years off my life immediately. otherwise gud game.
ttg is like A to B tier for me, because of some specifics and preferences but thats just me being nitpicky so, the games overall are good. A- it is. thats all
poker night 2 is fun, i watch the gameplay a lot lately when im too tired at midnight to do anything else, A tier
ttiv. oh how mixed i am about you. gameplay by itself and my first experience with the game - S tier. it made me so giddy more than one time and i kept wanting to come back until i finished the game fully. i dont mind the bugs, its just what i expect in VR games and even tho it made me a bit frustrated at times it wasnt all that bad. its also the only vr game i played for over an hour once and didnt get motion sick - the exception was the level at the store which seemed too bright and actually made me nauseous. which is a feeling that somehow comes back whenever i think about this game. what i dislike was the dialogue, while most of it was fun and fine, i had moments where i just burst out laughing, they (or max especially) were way too mean towards the player. i know its a joke and you could chalk it up to max being unhappy with us/jealous, but it got like, generally unpleasant very quickly. with stuff like good throw - "nice!" bad throw - *neverending insults* and the second was how painfully straight it was and like. the vibes i got from them two was like, oh theyre fed up with each other and my shipping self was just left quite disappointed. i did not get all lines during my gameplay which made it great but upon going thru every line manually after, i was just more and more uncomfortable with what they said in their banter. this drops the game to like C for me? maybe B if i squint. being generous. i also got sick of their talking animations over time... the models are fine just got to be too much. bonus points for max ragdoll physics tho. coming up with a conclusion that this is a completely separate timeline and has nothing to do with anything other than the comics and perhaps HTR. i talked so long about this one cause its the one thing that prompted all of this lol.
but its not that serious! i just knew this franchise for ages as "oh its the two animal guys that are married and its funny" and now that i got into it fully, i see a lot of the shippers are obviously daydreaming and taking things out of context - which is fun, i agree!! i also do that. but it just painted a completely different picture for me. so no. theyre not married, theyre not a couple, except for the cartoon, where its implied, which stays on top for me. but in ttg at least, they love each other, its not as romantic, but i can ship them there (so i ship them in the context of the cartoon and ttg basically)
anyway. nothing is canon for them, everything is canon for them, and everything they say or do is a joke so. its not that deep at all. they gay tho
#insane ramblings#i will tag this#sam and max#for the 2 people that will read this 🫶#thoughts are being thunk#long post#i just went on an unplanned rant here#i was home alone today and spent most of my day thinking about ttiv and how much i hate it and love it and hate it#one could even say its textbook queerbait but since its a separate game i cannot say it#but going from showing them getting married to 20 years later sam dating random women its like. uhh idont like that#obviously#i hc him as bi or pan so its fine its just so lame. like who are they? you know. random off screen characters that mean nothing to me#and max being jealous of the player being there but allowing sam to date is so lol. i havent found the line about the other woman yet#but ive had the lines open for way too many times and i dread going through them further. but i might bite the bullet i just want context#wonder if one of them is that one afghan hound (?) from that one valentines art#when the characters get ooc in official media /j

MAD(i)SON - The theory of the plot
Madison - Blue Knees?
Well, I think that Blue Knees is the demon Madison was trying to summon via the ritual (but it wasn't in that form yet)
Following the failure of Madison to complete the ritual, the demon was tied to her camera which became a cursed object. At some point Lucas' family moves into a shared house and the grandmother starts spending more time with him.
However well before that, she buys him (the father, Johnny) a children book about the story of Blue Knees, as well as Madison's camera... probably from an estate sale (mention in the news report on the TV). The demon tried, but failed to possess her over a period of time after she acquired the camera. (1 believe this started around 1987, or shortly after)
Presumably the demon took the form of Blue Knees because it was trying to interact with Luca Johnny.
Likewise at times it was in the form of Madison because part of her soul was still tied to it, due to the incomplete ritual. Presumably the gas mask guy is also form it took, but more on that later.
There's some statements from the priest in the tapes about the demon merging with it's host via the ritual. That the demons are formless, until they succeed at merging with their target. So the demon itself wouldn't have a specific form, but could present itself via the hallucinations to be anything it wanted.
So it used Madison's form in some visions. Blue Knees in others.
———————-
Now it is also possible the gas mask guy is the demon too. Which ties into Madison. The scene in the church with the woman in confessional mentions her husband Hans ran gas chambers for the Nazi's.
That she turned him into the authorities in 1951.
(One of the years you can visit in the church)
Madison dies in 1987 (another year you can see in the church)... at the age of 43. However her coffin mentions she's born in 1944. Meaning in 1951
Madison would have been 7 (maybe 8). Madison likely imagined that her father, a gas chamber attendant in WW2, likely looked like that. (It's also possible the demon took that form in order to influence Madison into doing the ritual)
———————-
Yes the demon is the true antagonist.
But I'm not saying it's working "through"
Madison and Blue Knees (through indicates, to me, that both are servants of the demon). I'm saying Madison and Blue Knees are the demon, every time we see them. (Madison was, at one time, a human. But we never see her... because she dies decades before, in 1987)
Keep in mind Madison and Blue Knees aren't physically there. Likewise the house and warping of space and time are not physically happening. (Relisten to the tapes from the priest, he describes how possessed people go into a catatonic state for days and hallucinate)
We're playing as Lucas, who is hallucinating everything. He was "infected" by the demon before the game started. This is why his dad was screaming at him that he wasn't his son (and why the dad just disappears in a section of house we can't get to). In reality Lucas may very well be still sitting in that room imagining he's going around the house discovering clues.
The dad knew because the grandfather knew. The grandfather had set up a number of traps trying to contain the demon. We know he played with magical rituals, trying to connect with his wife (who died). We also know he sought help from the priest (in the tape).
———————-
They are all part of the same demon (the demon absorved them so to speak) but i have a different theory.
The timeline starts with Hans, goes to Madison, and then Luca.
I was looking at blue knees story and trying to understand if it was actually just a random story of there was more context to it, and maybe blue knees explains Hans appearance.
According to the story he crawled searching for his eyes therefore he had blue knees from bruising.
1. Maybe blue knees was once a gas chamber victim that was possessed before everyone. Dont forget nazis used zyklon-b in the gas chambers and zyklon has a blue taint. Even today you can still see walls in gas chambers in poland with blue stains on them. Considering Blue knees has a blue tone, it could symbolize that he was once a victim of Hans. Just like Luca is a victim of Madison (still the same demon).
2. People are claiming Hans could be Madison father but during the game it is revealed Madison would be maybe too young to kill Hans. Also during the morgue/elevator episode you have to take pictures of Madison victims in order, the second one is the father and his name is not Hans, but, that is not impossible since nazis who fled germany after ww2 had their names change once they were in spain, south america and so on, so it could also be a possibility.

C!henry, c!bendy and any character from a non-batim or fnaf franchise
yeah lmao i got that
c!henry first
i make it very clear how much i love this guy :] he deserves a nice hot chocolate and warm blankets
c!bendy next
i dont really have too many strong feelings about him but we love our redeemed little guy
ummm for this one i had a hard time choosing......i could do michael afton and henry emily
purple for mike obvi
what the fandom does to this guy,,,,,,,he's not exactly underrated there's just not a lot of revealed canon of him. like to the regular lets player michael afton does not exist. markiplier wouldnt know much about him
yes he has pretty privilege. yes he's a rotting corpse. but ive seen what yall do to him like you do to william afton
i would skin him because i wonder how that would even work. does he even have skin? would it just come off purple? what's still underneath of him?? he's deteriorating. wouldn't it be interesting to study him. this is all at the expense of his well being. sorry mike
now henry (emily)!!!!
i think he's super underrated in the fandom, probs bc he has even less canon content of him but come on. he's literally our fandom dilf (william doesn't count he can die)
i know he's been critiqued and had suspicions thrown at him due to his involvement with all the events that happened, and while he's definitely flawed i'd like to believe he's a good person at heart. i dont think of the books as canon (wouldn't make sense with the timeline at all), ik it's technically in "a different timeline" and "technically canon just in a different universe" but the games are main priority, so a lot of questionable things are thrown out the window (like the nature of his suicide, the robot charlie he built and his treatment of her, abandoning his family in grief, etc.). Sammy doesn't exist in the canon games, so it's not like he left his other child either, and we don't have a clue what he was doing over the time he disappeared. Again he's still flawed, maybe he could've took more responsibility, his plan in fnaf 6 didn't work and he didn't stay around to make sure it worked. But I don't think he's a bad person
edit: I FORGOT TO EXPLAIN LOST POTENTIAL WHOOPS i think scott couldve done more with him. he is quite literally co-founder and business partner of william afton the child murderer, had his child killed, can build robots. he's seen it all since the beginning yet for most of the series he's just....gone? like his disappearance threw me for a loop. you can say for that time he was planning but thats SO MANY decades just to end up committing arson. like it would never take you that long. ik it's never gone into much of the personal experiences of the people who had to grieve for those murders but henry's personally involved. the non-canon books did more with him and he's SUPER fucked up in them. also why did he die like. three times. the suicide via robot wasn't canon but what was.
who is this. is this really henry. like that was a big theory but i feel like it's forgotten what this actually was. who died here
#man i talked more about the ones you dont know about#whoops#asks#blorbo bingo#ask game#tw blood#tw suicide

piggybacking on this to post my recent theory-
most of the things we've seen so far are red herrings to the Real plot.
i dont even think the other xmen characters shown ARE those versions of them. and they might not even be entirely real at all.
i mean, yea, everyone hates those trailers that straight up spoil the whole movie. but its obviously more than just deadpool simply fucking up timelines.
isnt it weird that the trailers keep showing the same stuff over n over? and isnt it weird how the supposedly 'leaked' set photos happen to also be one of those scenes?
isnt it weird how that scene seems like something out of a dream?
theres random stuff laying around, an icecream truck, theres a vehicle being pulled by a bunch of fucking motorcycles, theyre in the middle of god knows where, and the characters seem....off (pointing specifically to sabretooths teeth).
they could just be from another weird mad max style timeline, seeing as this is the timeline movie, but the whole environment makes it seem like theres something else going on.
like the realities themselves are either getting corrupted, merging together, or maybe some are even just. fake.
yea i know the trailer said the plot is gonna be fixing timelines. but theres already guys who do that shit for a living. why get them to do it? and why does it kinda seem theyre working with cassandra?
(tbf its not really explained in comics like deadpool corps or exiles either, they just kinda get chosen by a higher power for that shit)(unless...they got chosen due to both of their timelines being fucked up.....im still calling him being origins logan. he cant just be logan 2017.)
i dunno. just getting the feeling this is all gonna be a big bait n switch. and involve a couple Mid Life Crisis's somehow.
also, to solve the 'and' problem, u could always just do this 👍 -> wolverine and sabretooth 💛🧡
(or ig, alternatively....deadpool 3: wolverine and sabretooth)
youtube
Don’t think we can add another “and” to the title. #DeadpoolAndWolverine ❤️💛
#if everyone else has already realized this shit uhm. im slow ok.#THE LEAKED SET PHOTOS ARE THE MAIN SUSPICIOUS THING HERE..#deadpool and wolverine

Untill im prove otherwise i think "the thing you've stolen is more precious than any gold" is Briar
A living weapon would 100% be far more valuable than any kind of money due to what the black rose could do with it/briar. Yes I am 100% + biased in this. Yes there's barely any evidence this is the case
But to me it makes too much sense. Briar is a living weapon, she's unable to be destroyed by the Black Rose OR by Noxus which is why she's kept locked up. Briar had to have been released 10 some years ago from the start of league (so 5ish years before the start of arcane) meaning the timeline could fir with Ambessa being a general since she's shown to have a high ranking position while Mel is still a child.
Ambessa, proving herself in battle to Swain who's coup works (im pretty sure??) by subduing Briar keeps her position of high ranking authority but due to the coup and restructuring of government or whatever the fuck that's how she lost her personal funds (tho we can't entirely be sure that's not falsified info since mel got it from the person we know is a clone who knows)
Either way, Ambessa keeps her position as high ranking general which allows her the power we see in Arcane since she's already proven herself capable of handling threats others deemed unattainable.
She knows Briar's location, she knows the living weapon's location. It's why she states (i could be wrong i literally cant remember but im pretty sure its her) A weapon can't be unmade and is always used. She's seen the black rose and what they did with Briar and how unstopable it is. She wants to find a way to stop that.
But in doing so, made herself a target of the black rose who i have no doubt would be able to get to ambessa easier than swain and was waiting for the moment she'd step out of the noxus' hold on her. Being in Piltover doesn't allow her the same ammenities or help she'd get in noxus leaving her an open target. I don't think the black rose fears hextech, but they just dont want ambessa to have it because its too similar in power (but also arguably corruption) as Briar. Plus she was shown already in this theory to subdue her once, so who knows what ambessa could do with hextech
Again speaking of Briar, Ambessa knowing where Briar is now an open target outside of Noxian influence/grounds, the black rose can strike to find the location of where Briar is being held and get their weapon back Flash to Briar's champion intro and well------ shes escaped lol Probably leading to more shenanagins possibly inovlving Talon since talon i think in canon is related to the black rose? So they could contact him to try and seek out briar since they'd have *literally no leads now* where she went. So they'd use all resources to find her Briar finds talon, decides their friends, whacky adventures to get Briar home or talon is designated as her new "handler" since they already seem to be pretty ok??? with eachother? or at least neutral if not friendly i think
#out of frenzy // ooc#cw long post#cw act 3 spoilers#arcane spoilers#;; ILL MAKE THIS WORK I SWEAR#;; cuz idk i am a little unconvinced that the black rose would do all this for mel#;; and they clearly are stealing information from her brain in the scene we see with leblanc getting her hands on ambessa#;; and ambessa being tied more in with the governing bodies and experiments we do know abt the black rose#;; AND AMBESSA SAYING THAT THEIR RESOURCES AND POWER OUTMATCH THEM#;; yeah briar arguably does and the fear the black rose could have MORE of those???#;; yeah id be fucking terrified too :V

i like thinking way too much about fromsoft games. there’s something about the light touch the writers use to carve out their worlds that just absolutely tickles my brain. writing way too much about the most trivial details using college essay formats is the easiest exercise to make sure my brain can still make basic connections and convey those connections to other people. but as a lore prescriptivist (snob), i try to only stick to what’s in front of me without attempting to drag in outside resources or succumb to the apparent impulse to engage in wild speculation that many fans find themselves mired in. additionally, i try to make things as clear as possible for the fandom rubbernecks who like to read lore dumps about things that are totally outside their wheelhouse (i do this).
here’s something really annoying to keep in mind with these games: they write the scripts in english and translate them to japanese. but the dev team obviously works in japanese and have a tendency to reveal connections that are either relevant to unlocking questions not addressed in the game (such as the parasitic wall hugger having the file name “Prince Izalith”). there are also inconsistencies between the english and japanese translations, which raises more questions about what the authorial intent REALLY is. so the best we can do is filter the noise, ignore the innate desire to put words or ideas in any developer’s mouth, and stick to things you can copy-paste to support your argument.
that said i have one theory i refuse to give up entirely on the basis that it is really funny to think about: Gwyn’s firstborn is the father of Crossbreed Priscilla.
look out bitch! look out bitch!
i will go over all the reasons that support my argument and then i will discuss the objective problems with my theory, which is absolutely not one i think anyone holds but me. generally, the community is in agreement that her father is traitor turned mad scientist Seath The Scaleless. seath is an albino dragon who, due to his jealously of the scales that granted eternal life to the other dragons, betrayed his brethren and helped the gods wipe the once everlasting dragons off the planet. his bottom half looks like microwaved tinfoil because he’s been fucking around with crystals. also he was just born fucked up.
seath was rewarded with dukedom and a slice of Gwyn’s (king of the gods. who are a race separate from humans, rather than literal gods) soul.
first let’s talk about what supports my theory, so you can get a feel for the timeline of events and the social mores within the world of dark souls (?? i typed this)
PRO:
Crossbreed Priscilla lives in the Painted World of Ariamis: this is explicitly a location for things and people that the gods want to either forget about or sentence to exile. there are very few residents in the painting; the entire population is priscilla, the corpse of xanthous king jeremiah, a rotting dragon descendant (a wyvern), phalanx from demon souls who got lost somehow, a handful of hollows and skeleton wheels, and velka’s crow worshippers.
Xanthous Crown - A mysterious item once worn by the Xanthous King Jeremiah, the legendary exile
Peculiar Doll - There once was an abomination who had no place in this world. She clutched this doll tightly, and eventually was drawn into a cold and lonely painted world.
Dark Ember - The church long hid the forbidden black ember, and no living blacksmith knows of it. Occult weapons were used to hunt the Gods, and are effective against their followers and kin
velka, an unseen goddess with a single worshipper, is an entire other kettle of fish, but she’s not as complicated as people make her out to be. she was banished or killed by the gods for participating in the plot to overthrow them (this is another subject that causes people to spin out). i dont have time to get into this, it just matters that she’s persona non-grata.
priscilla herself is described as a “crossbreed bastard child” in her soul description. this confirms that she is the result of an unauthorized fuck and suck. as the “antithesis to all life”, she wields a weapon called the lifehunt scythe that mows down gods and drains any mortal that tries to use it.
Lifehunt Scythe - Even the Gods feared Priscilla's lifehunt ability, and in the hands of a mortal, its power will turn upon its wielder.
why the fuck would gwyn keep around someone who could kill him and everything he’s been working for? the man was so freaked out over the idea of the age of gods ending and losing power that he threw himself on a pyre and invented a new way to suffer to prolong the inevitable. why is there a black knight, gwyn’s most trusted troops, protecting the doll and one of three berenike troops in the entire game protecting priscilla herself? the answer is the same reason why he kept gwyndolin in spite of her snake leg deformity and simply hid her away: she’s family.
CONCLUSION: PRISCILLA IS GWYN’S GRANDDAUGHTER
Gwyn’s firstborn was erased from history for an unknown, unforgivable trespass: the amount of Mad gwyn is at his firstborn son cannot be understated; statues across lordran depicting him have been shattered, he was stripped of his godhood, and he was exiled from anor londo.
Ring of the Sun’s Firstborn - Lord Gwyn's firstborn was a god of war, but his foolishness led to a loss of the annals, and rescinding of his deific status. Today, even his name is not known.
Sunlight Blade - The power of sunlight, manifested as lightning, is very effective against dragons. When the eldest son was stripped of his deific status, he left this on his father's coffin, perhaps as a final farewell.
“foolishness” is such a weird ass turn of phrase for something that got you disowned so hard your dad forgot who you were. its so like...mild. just an observation. an example of a thing gwyn specifically might find unforgivable is fucking a dragon, as they are his mortal enemies and he just spent all that time killing them.
you DO eventually meet this son, The Nameless King, in ds3.
CONCLUSION: THE NAMELESS KING’S TRESPASS WAS SHAMEFUL ENOUGH TO HIDE WHAT HE DID AND WHO HE WAS, BUT NOT KILL HIM
The Nameless King has been deified by dragons and their worshippers: this one is so weird. by ds3 you are told outright that the nameless king “sacrificed everything to ally himself” with dragons and those who want to become them. he’s not even the first dark souls character to do it all for the nookie.
archdragon peak, a location where dragon worshippers go to begin their physical transformation, is riddled with statues of him looking badass. this is also where you fight him and his drake (it has 4 wings, but no everlasting scales) friend, the ambiguously named “king of the storm”. its not clear if the “king of the storm” is a title they share together or what the nameless king calls himself when he’s with his dragon lover or if thats the name of the dragon. regardless, killing the dragon begins the phase 2 solo fight against the nameless king. making this more confusing is that in japanese, both phases are named “the nameless king” and calls the king of the storm a wyvern instead of a stormdrake.
Lightning Storm - Once a slayer of dragons, the former king and wargod tamed a Stormdrake, on which he led a lifetime of battle. This miracle is likely a tale of their bond.
wow. love truly conquers all. gay rights!
CONCLUSION: THE NAMELESS KING IS COOL
Seath has never had sex: look at him. no way.
MY THEORY: gwyn’s firstborn, overtaken with sexual desire, fucked a dragon. the result of their copulation was priscilla, an abomination whose innate abilities made her extremely dangerous. gwyn threw his firstborn’s ass out from a combination of shame and anger, but could not bring himself to kill either. ariamis was commissioned to create a world for her, which became an all purpose dump for shit gwyn didnt want to think about any more.
AGAINST:
Priscilla is white: it’s pretty hard to ignore the fact that seath and priscilla share the same very unique skin tone...color palate? you know what i mean. the most common theory is that priscilla is the result of seath’s experiments or his daughter by way of gwynevere. what we do know about seath’s experiments is that the failed results transformed women into snake-ish creatures called pisacas. as stated many times in the series: a snake is a failed dragon (this is true in real life too). maybe one of them was successful.
BUT: there’s some problems with this, actually. for one thing priscilla isn’t albino; her eyes are white and she’s fluffy, like the everlasting dragons we do see. gwynevere married some guy named flann and booked it out of anor londo years ago.
Ring of the Sun Princess - The Princess of Sunlight Gwynevere left Anor Londo along many other deities, and later became wife to Flame God Flann.
so the gwynevere theory is out. it’s more likely that she’s a successful experiment who got too scary so she had to go in the paint. i dont really get why he was trying to turn women into dragons, if thats what he was up to. maybe he was trying to have sex. he was tired of using his j/o crystals or whatever.
Yorshka and The Painter: okay, we can assume that the painter of the next painted world, a dragon scaled young girl, is the daughter of priscilla and her weird husband mentioned in the ds3 dlc. i dont get company captain yorshka at all. i have nothing. she’s obviously a dragon crossbreed but has 2 insane things that make her completely impossible to make sense of.
first, she has fucking neck tentacles? no one else has this shit. what is that.
second, she calls herself the sister of gwyndolin. what! huh?! excuse me?
it’s insane enough that one of the dlcs revealed that gwyn had ANOTHER surprise kid who didnt get to share in the narcissistic family naming convention and was forgotten by history (filianore). but now there’s a DRAGON one?! i don’t know man. she’s inscrutable and i don’t understand her relation to the original crossbreed or why she didnt get painting’d. her existence is pretty hard to patch over with my theory. i dont think the nameless king was pumping them out and then shipping them over to gwyn for him to deal with more than once. mostly because gwyn has been dead forever by the time ds3 happens. maybe gwyndolin just handles these problems better now that shes de-facto ruler of anor londo.
well, i guess that’s all i actually have. my point with all this (besides entertaining the three people who enjoy reading DS lore) is that i can recognize the obvious flaws in my crackpot theory, yet it offers me the most satisfying answer because the idea of getting disowned for being a furry (scalie i guess) is really really funny. and as we all know, the comedy is when you need a 2 million word explainer about having sex with dragons. well. bye.

hi! since you're a big gaster fan and know a lot about him, i was hoping you could explain something to me. a popular theory is the dadster idea, where he is the father to sans and papyrus. but i dont understand why him being related to them is such a common assumption. i cant recall anything in the game that implies they are related. i know there's a couple subtle hints that sans worked for him, but afaik theres nothing that shows papyrus and gaster knew each other at all. if they were closely related wouldnt they bring him up at some point, even in a small way (like papyrus telling you his dad made the core or smth like that)? plus gaster doesnt have a special reaction to their names in deltarune when he does for other characters, and its not hinted anywhere that he had a family. just seems like a pretty big detail for them to all ignore or never bring up. could there be something i am missing?
you’re right—there’s actually no evidence implying their relation (unless you wanna talk about grandpa semi but let’s not get into that lmao), so it’s nothing more than a popular headcanon. it’s really just based on the fact that sans and papyrus are two skeleton brothers that speak in special fonts, so unless all skeletons speak in weird fonts in the underground?—the conclusion most people draw is that they’re related in some way.
as for papyrus seemingly being unfamiliar with gaster—this is a part where it’s completely up to interpretation. there are a lot of potential factors regarding this, and there’s definitely no right answer (that we know of, anyway). i’ll try to break down a few different things i think are worth bringing up.
1. the extent of memory retained between timelines/resets is INCREDIBLY ambiguously specified. (this is under the assumption that gaster was forgotten/erased after his ‘death’, which i talked about here.) we don’t know how much sans remembers gaster either—we don’t even know if he remembers him at all, which is a very real possibility. sans doesn’t have a special power to remember things between resets and timelines, he’s only able to notice them due to 1. prior research on the topic, and 2. generally being a really perceptive guy (as we know from his judgements, his continual observation of the player throughout their journey, etc). he could know that something’s wrong or that there’s parts of his past that he can’t remember, but there’s a real chance that even sans doesn’t know who gaster is, only knowing vaguely that he existed. based on his “don’t forget” note and how you interpret it, retaining memory is clearly important to him—hence the reminder he wrote for himself.
the deja vu that characters show between resets is never really explained in full; it’s probably meant to be vague, and it’s something that every character seems to have. what it entails or what its extent is, we have no idea. maybe the memory that persists through it varies in some way, depending on circumstances? we have no clue. maybe sans has some vague memory of gaster, maybe he remembers way more; again, there’s no way to tell. he never directly mentions gaster either, after all.
taking all this into account, it’s possible papyrus doesn’t know anything at all. if he’s unaware of resets, maybe he doesn’t remember anything. but, if he IS aware of them...
2. papyrus is a liar. he’s incredibly secretive, and honestly more mysterious than gaster imo. we have no way of knowing how much or how little he knows about gaster or anything else; if he does know everything, he certainly wouldn’t give us any clues about it. there’s a lot of analysis on the weirder parts of papyrus, but i’ll bring up a few important bits of information.
the most important thing in my opinion is, of course, this:
which, uh...
... yeah! he has those too! what the fuck!
many people have also pointed out that papyrus seems to really hate hotland for some reason, which is where gaster presumably worked as the royal scientist. maybe there's some relation there? and before you enter the core, papyrus tells you that he won’t be able to call you anymore... which is kinda weird, because alphys calls you in the core. repeatedly. (and if you consider gaster’s weird association with phones, specifically with them not working... uhh??)
AND...!!!
we still don’t know what this means. i’m afraid to know what this means.
what i’m trying to say is that there is a wealth of strange gaster/papyrus connections. i couldn’t possibly go over all of them, but MAN. they are present.
3. gaster actually DOES react to sans and papyrus’s names in deltarune! here’s a list of all the names that get a special reaction:
notably he doesn’t react to any darkner names, but he does acknowledge sans and papyrus. so he definitely KNOWS them, at the very very least.
in conclusion, i forgot this post was supposed to be about dadster. oops. but yeah—there are far too many connections between the three skeletons to dismiss their relation, and though we don’t know how they’re related, familial relationship is a popular theory.
... they’re a font family. (rimshot)
#SURVEY PROGRAM#ANALYSIS#that's my fun new tag for insane rambling about skeletons. check it out#also: i must continue to assert the superiority of grandpaster. boo we hate dadster boooooo

Cryptolalia - Tethered transportation
these kinds of blogs about Cryptolalia will eventually go on my website, but i dont have a dedicated hub on my site yet for OC/story stuff yet so.
but yea anyways, i dont want to be hiding all my brainstorming behind patreon (if i ever go into proper production w something like a comic etc then yes) and i thought itd be nice to just throw down all my current exploding ideas.
I have many many things on my mind but for some reason one of the things ive developed most through my last recent years of thinking is transportation infrastructure & vehicles in Cryptolalia. Remember that this story is based on Earth, and is basically like... “ideal changes” and alternate timeline nonsense of what we currently have. The first thing I wanted to make strikingly different in the world was transportation, since the changes that happen in the timeline are old enough that the course of history regarding cars could be totally different. SO lets get into it!
(do note im not super knowledgeable on logic of science and cars and stuff, a lot of this is my own theories and fun for just having a futuristic and alternate Earth setting)
I would love to draw these out at some point too, but I am so not into vehicle design... so idk when that may happen.
But anyways, I have come up with various ideas regarding transportation in this world, mostly out of spite for what we have on Earth in regards to roads and parking lots. The Earth has basically been molded by Elias, using his own knowledge of “ideal” into Earth's progression. Not everything will be perfect, but lots of changes to infrastructure on Earth were made by Elias ages ago based off what his race has done across multiple generations on various planets.
All vehicles are electric. Or “electric” as in using power from the power source that runs the whole planet (its not electricity but you know what I mean ok). They are often referred to as “tethered vehicles” not just due to their energy source, but also due to the fact they are in a sense, literally tied to something. “tethered” means that the vehicle is on a track of some kind that transfers the energy needed to travel, directly into the vehicle itself. Untethered vehicles exist, but need a specific license to be driven, and all vehicles that are off-track are recorded through an online system. While airplanes and boats exist they are few and more often for transporting goods than people, and are not 'tethered'- meaning most individuals wouldn't likely be using them either due to license (which is different due to being air and water vehicles).
There are two classes of vehicles- individual and community. They are self explanatory... Community vehicles are subways and trains, which transport groups of people and are purely focused on that. Subways and trains are the most common and even have tunnels built underground or in the ocean.
Individual vehicles are for one or two people at most. They are intended for all purposes (work, travel, leisure) and run on similar tracks as the subways and trains- but due to their compact sizes, they are capable of traveling faster, on smaller tracks that weave through locations otherwise inaccessible by large community ones. These vehicles are often seen as high class due to their cost, as many wouldn't care to own one if they are simply going to work or through the city- which is why most if not all individual vehicles are untethered as well, meaning most who own one must have a license for it. But tethered ones exist, and are often much more lightweight and cheaper.
Individual vehicles due to their small size, are often motorcycles and four or three wheeled light utility vehicles (LUVs, also known as ATVs)- but private boats and planes exist as well if you're especially wealthy. Being capable of untethered driving means they are most often capable of off-road driving on rougher terrain. Still, drivers are permitted to certain locations and could be greatly fined for driving in areas they are not allowed. They are most often used by those who work nontraditional jobs that require work out in the land, or by upper class working individuals wanting a free road all to themselves. They can and are often rented to those who work jobs out in the wilderness or away from the city, purely for work purposes.
Road safety & laws are similar to ours but differing to suit this alternate world. Tethered and untethered individual vehicles have different licenses, while all classes of vehicles to as well (land, air, sea, and freight specific trains). The licenses for tethered and untethered are separate and must be kept on the person at all times.
Laws are not all universal, and may be different to accommodate for culture or specifics regarding the country's terrain or infrastructure- but one law across the world is that once a citizen's age reaches the maturity equivalent of 70 human years they must be thoroughly tested on their health and retested if they have an individual license. They must retest for an untethered license, and if they are allowed to operate a such a vehicle after passing, they will face harsher penalties for errors and have it revoked for good if they run into issues in the future.
Tethered lines for vehicles to travel on are considered for safety above all, but cut back on the need for parking lots. Yes, while individual vehicles would expect to take up space, they are logged in a system to be tracked even when going off road. Stations exist that these vehicles must be stored at in order for the user's vehicle status to stay consistent (and to not be fined, or have their license revoked) which are located at the same hubs at which trains and subways are- or or for smaller tracks, along sidewalks. Additionally, some work places have their own small storage hubs for storing these vehicles and logging their status.
Undoubtedly, their storage exists and takes up some space, but the system never allowed for cars, trucks, and larger vehicles to exist in the same way, thus cutting down greatly on wasted space. They are built to be compact and small, and due to the cost of them and the requirements, they aren't as common as most would assume. It is very much the norm to take a train or subway overall, especially for travel within the cities themselves. They are incredibly accessible and the world is heavily built around them.
Design & style of vehicles are often sleek, futuristic. This will no doubt be different across the world, some places consistently of old models or styles while others are more up to date. But within the immediate city Cryptolalia is based in, smoothed out futuristic shapes with white-heavy color choices are common. For those more accustomed to off-roading though, vehicles may show more of the 'guts' in order to not struggle with terrain and allow easy access to maintenance. Untethered off road vehicles will also have slots for extra power, which are shaped like discs, that are found at docking stations (or purchased and charged at home). Trains and subways are just as if not more smooth in shape, fitting right into the tunnels they travel through.
That is like, all I can grab from my brain right now. There is likely more im just forgetting but id be glad to answer any questions poking at the details of this!
Overall my intention is to have a world that has gone very.. idealistically futuristic-- but you'll see those bits about being tracked, and some of the strictness with untethered vehicles. Those aren't intended to be purely good things either. This version of Earth is heavily controlled, even if many parts of it include me inserting my “ideal” concepts, like no parking lots and good subways infrastructure.

CODI CODI CODI
opinion on dynamight? :D
WKSDKEK HI AJ
okokokok if ur honestly... asking—i dont have any genuine hate for the name dynamight. its cute its fun and its very 4 year old kacchan. BUT i have this theory that it isnt his actual hero name. maybe i possibly am reaching very far and will pull a muscle with all this stretching and jumping to conclusions but... here are
Farfetched Reasons Why I Think DynaMight Isn't Bakugou's Final Name (SPOILER ALERT, duh):
1. It's too similar to his previous rejected names
We all remember how in the start of the series, Bakugou's whole naming problem stemmed from the extravagance and... overbearingness of his chosen aliases. From the most famous 'Lord Explosion Murder', the written kanji version being '爆殺王' and pronounced as 'Bakusatsuo'. In comparison, we have DynaMight: The God of Great Killing Bomb—which, taking the latter part is written '大爆殺神' in kanji and pronounced 'daibakusatsu-shin'. For a name that took maybe 4 or 5 years to FINALLY get introduced, its oddly similar to all the names that were already rejected or shot down. They even use 2 of the same kanji characters which denotes that they may even be said in the same aggressive tone like how it is in English (but take this point with a grain of salt bc i am NOT formally educated in Japanese.)
2. Narrative-wise... the timeline placement of the reveal just doesn't make sense.
I dunno about you, but in the middle of the war during the deconstruction of the pro-hero society seems like one of the weirder places to put Bakugou's hero name reveal. Especially when its something that doesn't have an immediate link or visibility to Bakugou's character aside from his personality. We've already seen that Bakugou's supposedly changed a LOT ever since his first days at UA—so I find it weird that in the MIDDLE OF HIS CHARACTER ARC and not even ten chapters after Bakugou Katsuki: Rising (where *ahem* important things occur...), we get a name like this which is awfully reminisce of Bakugo's choices pre-character development. Why make us wait so long if it was gonna be something so similar? Is the only change/nuance going to be the All Might pun? Hori-sensei may give us answers soon, but for now the timing seems incredibly out of place.
3. The other characters don't take it seriously.
Most of the other characters including the likes of Spinner absolutely do not take it seriously. Iida and multiple other actors at the scene poke criticisms at it and react in the same way class 1A did when Bakugo introduced Lord Explosion Murder. The only positive reaction being Mirio, who we all know is the human version of sunshine and puppies (and also just a really good senpai). The key reactions I wanna note are Deku's and Best Jeanist's.
- On Best Jeanist's reaction
BJ (its for shortening purposes i SWEAR) is seen to depict a lacklustre, disinterested, and almost even dissappointed response. As Katsuki's mentor figure and someone that was implied to have inspired Bakugou to reconsider his hero name—I find it odd that he was depicted to disapprove of it so offhandedly. His arrival and participation at the war was something I very much looked forward to due to the amount of things that Bakugou might do now that he knew Best Jeanist was still alive a la shounen anime 'I'm empowered by my mentor figure' style. I think that if Bakugou were to do a name reveal, he would've chosen something that Best Jeanist would immediately recognize as something resultant of Bkg's character development.
- On Izuku Midoriya's reaction (or lack thereof)
I won't elaborate bc it will actually take me weeks to formulate an essay, but Deku is currently at the epicenter of a lot of Katsuki's character development. From One for All to the tear jerking panels of Chapter 285, we know that Deku inexplicably is the no. 1 person that wants to know Bakugou's hero name.
So why isn't he there?
We don't get to see Deku's reaction to Bakugous huge name reveal because he's too far and too busy fighting. You'd a thunk that if it was so significant and powerful, Deku's reaction would come out. While it IS possible that Deku's reaction is on another chapter entirely bc he's just THAT excited about it, I highly doubt Bakugo would announce such a thing where Deku could not hear.
But Codi! you say, arms sore and floppy from reaching so far with me. Why? Why would Bakugou make and announce a fake name then?
Well. Prepare your ankles because I am about to jump to some even FARTHER conclusions.
First of all, they ARE in the middle of a war. Bakugou, while heavily injured, still is smart enough to see what's happening and be able to parse when they're on the losing end. Mans is a 4/5 on the intelligence rank if I'm not mistaken, and it's pretty obvious the heroes are losing. The whole hero society has been absolutely turned up on its head with the Todoroki Family Drama, and I think that Deku jumping back into the fight is the best indication that Katsuki will follow suit. I think that Deku knew about the hero name DynaMight before hand, ESPECIALLY because it sounds like something only he and Kacchan could come up with (the All Might pun is just TOO good ok). I think that there's a reason Bakugou's okay with Deku being so far away when he reveals it
But what of it?
I think that to understand Bakugou's decision to name reveal now involves taking a look into the actual name DynaMight/Dynamite.
Dynamite, as we know, is an explosive made from nitroglycerine and stabilizers in 1867. The reason it became so popular was that it helped with a lot infrastructure projects to speed up construction and mining. It was available soon as well in the civillian market because of its powerful but controlled explosions. Instead of a fiery explosion that burned for extended periods of time, nitroglycerine was more of a one and done kind of explosion.
Later, it was used as a military weapon that caused mass destruction and a sudden interest for innovations in explosives. Alfred Nobel, who's name you now might recognize, was ashamed of his past inventions and alias as 'The Angel of Death' (Bakusatsuo, anyone?). He hated the fact his explosives had been used to cause war and death and thus created the Nobel Peace Prize so that his name would be associated with Peace and Hope instead.
If you're picking up what I'm reaching really hard for... then you already know.
The reason I think Bakugou faked DynaMight as his hero name is to act as an actual sort of Dynamite in the tide of the war. I think this was, in actuality, a code word or even tactic of some sorts for an actual plan he had with Deku. Now that he's both revealed his name AND joined the fight again, the attention of all the villains and actors (including us, the audience) are on him and him only. Because 'Dynamite' is a controlled explosion. Because 'Dynamite' works once nefore its done its job. Because Bakugou mfing Katsuki does NOT wanna be associated with his past decisions and history of destruction and wants his name to be a symbol of winning and saving.
A symbol of peace.
Or. maybe its actually just DynaMight. idk. who knows? Maybe Im just really really really really deep in denial.
Thanks for reading!

So what do you think happened to Ben in Year2? We still dont know
(Brace yourself for scattered thoughts and theories about Ben, R, and everything.)
A very good question. Ben's missing time remains one of the many unsolved mysteries of both this game and his character. The two categories overlap quite a bit. However, something occurs to me, and I've talked about this before. Rowan suggests that Ben may not be the only person receiving instructions. I believe the other person was Merula. It would explain why the black quills were only ever found in the Gryffindor and Slytherin Common Rooms. Places that Ben and Merula could access, respectively. Plus Merula hinted that she knew what happened to Ben. It could have just been her bullying, but there's a dialogue option that was cut from the game where you could mention R to her, and she would say "Who told you about that?!" So I believe Merula was already the spy at this point, and it was likely through her that Ben was captured. Angelica/McGonagall (depending on who you talk to) suggests that it had something to do with MC's investigation of that Door at the end of Year 1. Trouble is, Ben wasn't necessarily there. He could have been, but it was a player choice. I think R was behind his disappearance, and Merula was the one who carried it out.
I believe Ben was Imperius'd. That's what we're led to believe happened to him when he was The Red Cloak, and he had no memory of that either. Rowan even cited the pattern when he was unmasked. Though to what end, I'm not sure. They didn't use him to spy on MC, clearly. They had Merula to do that and it wouldn't explain why Ben went missing. Perhaps they were interrogating him? Scanning him for information. But about what? Again, they had Merula and later Rakepick to get close to MC. Ben wouldn't know anything in particular, hell he was muggle-born, Merula would have known more about wizard culture or even The Death Eaters if that's what they were interested in. Yet they were clearly giving him instructions and using him for something. I presume Ben was obliviated at the end of this time, but perhaps he simply can't remember due to the Imperius Curse. Either way, what could be so special about Ben that R targeted him? Or could it have been an accident? Feels like too much of a coincidence. Maybe he stumbled upon something. Saw something that he wasn't supposed to see, or read something. Learned information that they couldn't let him keep. But killing him would have been too messy. Still, doesn't explain why they didn't just oblivate him and why they gave him commands.
I know Ben used to be far more timid, but does anyone else find it a bit strange that he was terrified to the point of speechlessness when Rakepick showed up? I mean, he'd never seen her before, right? Unless he had. I also find it fishy that it took Rakepick four years to make it back to Hogwarts when Dumbledore himself was searching for her as early as Year 2 and wanted her at the school. How could it have been that difficult? I wonder if Dumbledore and Rakepick aren't conspiring, or at least maybe they were in the past. It was this same year that MC opened The Ice Vault and saved the school, putting them-self on the map. The same year that Jacob contacted them from the Portrait Vault for the first time and sent them down the path of rescuing him. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem like R always wanted MC to be their leader. That seems to be a more recent decision. The switch from threats to kill MC, to that promise that they would kill one of MC's friends, is probably the turning point. I wonder if they had Ben in mind. I wonder if Ben and Rowan weren't always the top candidates and that was why they were both Imperius'd, to scan their minds and see how close they were to MC. Year 2 ended with MC officially following in Jacob's footsteps. Year 4 saw Rakepick insert herself into their life. And then she didn't drop her act until MC was about to rescue Jacob. Why? Does R not want Jacob freed? They did warn MC to stay away from the Cursed Vaults.
I've gone so far off the rails at this point from your original question about Ben, but I'm just thinking aloud. R didn't want MC to investigate the Vaults in Year 4. But Rakepick did want them to. And it was Ben who insisted on coming to the Portrait Vault, who dueled her in the Forest. It was Ben she fired the Killing Curse at and she even mentions this later. And Jacob...his timeline is a bit inconsistent, but he apparently worked with R while he was at Hogwarts, alongside Duncan and Olivia. And yet, he claims that he didn't meet Rakepick until after his expulsion. And we know that at one point, Rakepick was an enemy of The Cabal, based on Black Quills that threatened her. Maybe this was just a ruse, but Jacob seemed to think she feared them going off his journal. So, who was Jacob in communication with while he was a Hogwarts student? Was Rakepick already working for R when she met Jacob? He somehow knew she was evil, despite working with her and going into the Portrait Vault where he was trapped. Rakepick claims that she was forced out when she touched the Portrait, but this didn't happen to MC? Someone is lying here. But did R want Jacob to lead them? When did they change their minds?
And Ben. Where does Ben fit into all of this? R seems to have a special interest in him but why? He doesn't have a bloodline. He wasn't especially powerful. Sure, he was close to MC from the very start, but so was Rowan. What is it about Ben that made him noteworthy to R? What did they do to during his missing time? What did they make him do, and why? Did they use him to investigate the vaults? To aid Merula? Because I think Merula knows what happened to Ben. That's a question I'd love to ask her under Veritaserum. What happened to him?

Dabi and Hawks: why the childhood friends theories dont make sense
This is the first time I do a “meta” about BNHA, but I thought I needed to explain some things now that we have more information.
Yes, I am, with no shame, a DabiHawks shipper (Dabi stan and Hawks stan too). And, yes, I never believed in those theories from the start.
I’m here to explain why.
[Warning: This post contains spoilers for the most recent leaked chapter, 291.]
Lets start with a simple thing: Setting a timeline for both characters.
Dabi’s timeline goes like this:
- Touya is born - Fuyumi is born 1 year and a half later (Touya is 1yo) - Natsuo is born 3 years after Fuyumi (Touya is 4yo) - Shoto is born 3 years after Natsuo (Touya is 7yo) - Shoto starts training/Touya stops being trained by Endeavor (Touya is between 9-12yo) - Shoto gets his scar (Touya is 12-13yo) - Touya dies after Rei goes to the hospital (Touya/Dabi is between 12-14yo) - Dabi meets Shigaraki and joins the League of Villains (Dabi is 23yo) - Present time, 1 year since the beginning of the main story (Dabi is24yo)
(Note: This is an approximate timeline based on all information we got so far, like character ages and dialogue. For example, we know that Shoto’s scar incident happened around 10 years ago, when he was 5 years old.)
Hawks’ timeline goes like this:
- Keigo is born - Takami thief incident happens (Keigo is between 3-6yo) - Keigo is recruited by the HPSC (Keigo/Hawks is between 6-8yo) - Hawks’ training period on HPSC’s training program (Hawks is between 8-18yo) - Hawks opens his own agency (Hawks is 18yo) - Billboard charts (Hawks is 22yo) - Present time (Hawks is 23yo - same age as Fuyumi)
(Note: It’s hard to set a timeline for Hawks since we know so little about him. A few things I considered for this was: a) Hawks was recruited after he got his quirk and was able to control it. He was a prodigy, he learned fast, but probably still took a while. b) Since he opened his agency at 18 and was took in very young, I considered 10 years a reasonable time for this training. c) I know the “Hawks’ dad used Hawks on his crimes” theory is a kinda popular one, but I don’t considered much of that being the case since we have no proof. Takami’s arrest could be anything during Hawks’ upbringing, but since Hawks talks about “Endeavor saving him”, it gives us an idea he was old enough to remember what happened.)
“Okay, but that still don’t explain why the Childhood Theory isn’t possible”
Let’s begin talking about the biggest one:
Childhood Friends + HPSC Training Program
I think Chapter 291 pretty much tells why that theory is officially debunked (here I want to give a thanks to Kailo, from Discord, for translating the leaks for us!):
Touya died alone, training where Endeavor used to. Not in the HPSC. Not in the training program.
Also, during Dabi’s whole speech (on broadcast and on Jakku), he NEVER talks about the HPSC. He talks about Hawks and his dad, about Hawks killing Twice and Jeanist. But not about the training program.
Maybe Dabi doesn’t even know about this program.
Another point that debunks this story is the timeline.
For Dabi and Hawks be able to meet inside the HPSC’s training program, it needed to be in Hawks’ first years in the HPSC.
Hawks was recruited when he between 6-8 years old, while Touya’s training with Endeavor stopped when he was between 9-11 years old because of Shoto.
And we saw Touya playing with his siblings during Shoto’s training in flashbacks. He couldn’t be going to a secret and seemingly strict program like the HPSC and still be frequenting his home to play with Natsuo and Fuyumi.
With this one out of the way, let’s go to another, little less popular, variation of this theory:
Childhood Friends, but without the Training Program part
I see this one around from time to time. It’s basically that they met and became friends until Hawks is recruited from the HPSC, then they lose contact due to that.
(There’s also a second variation about they meeting somehow in the HPSC due to the fact that Endeavor was a famous hero that the Commission could work with, but I’m throwing this off for the sole reason of: Hawks would remember Touya since they were older. Hawks said he searched for information about Dabi, so it’s safe to assume that he could, yes, draw the connection if he was someone Hawks had contact during his 10 years in the HPSC.)
And why do I think this theory doesn’t make sense?
Because Keigo and Touya were born in literal opposite sides of Japan.
I feel like people forget this a lot, for some reason.
Keigo Takami was born in Kyushu, Fukuoka. Touya Todoroki was born in Musutafu, near Tokyo.
It’s, literally, the opposite side of Japan. I’m not kidding.
Just search the distance between Fukuoka and Tokyo, and you’ll have your answer.
And for the ones that are gonna ask “what about Hawks’ name, how does Dabi knows that?” - I think we’ll have to wait for the backstory around this Takami thief to give more insight into that.
TL;DR: Dabi and Hawks, besides having a similar age, live too far away to have meet for prolonged time, and Chapter 291 confirmed that Touya died training alone basically debunks this whole theory altogether.
(Also, just as an end note: I love the Childhood Friends AU, I really do. But, sometimes, you need to realize that some headcanons are just that. Headcanons.)

so here’s my long overdue review of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes that no one asked for. I finally read the book, well listened to the audiobook, coz i dunno how to read a book anymore.
This book was everything I expected it to be and also not. Definitely the first two parts was easily predictable, we all kinda assumed that was the general arc that story would take. So while I found the first two parts enjoyable, learning more about the history of the games and learn more of Capitol, i wasn’t really hooked until the third part.
But let me say this first tho, Ms. Suzanne Collins, you never disappoint. Also I have questions and I hate that she wasn’t able to go on a book tour (I haven’t read her Q&A tho).
I still have the same qualms as i did about the prequel as i did before I read it. While I get the early records of the games were shoddy, and the 10th Hunger Games was erased but for one copy hidden in some vault, that doesn’t matter, what matter is Snow knows.
So If Snow had that relationship with the Games and Lucy, the first victor of d12, a lot of the decisions he made in the trilogy made no sense.
I get it, he wanted to forget, it’s decades until Katniss came along. While there might be parallels, Lucy and Katniss are very different characters. But all I can think off is the reason he didn’t kill Katniss sooner, was it really because she would end up a martyr or rallying cry for the district, which happened anyways, or he was practically disassociating the moment Katniss was reaped?
Were Katniss and Peeta unintentionally triggers to so many of his hidden traumas that’s why he made so many misteps? Katniss singing the meadow song to Rue, triggered. Peeta mentioning the Valley song, triggered. Mockingjay, triggered. The Hanging Tree, triggered.
Was he so busy crying in the shower that he wasn’t able to stop Seneca Crane from making bad calls during the 74th Games? Two winners from the same district, would Snow really okay’d that himself?
And also, I’ve always thought that anything he did towards Peeta was coz he wanted to hurt Katniss. But no, he wanted to hurt that boy. Peeta reminds him of his young self, at least the young person everyone saw him as, charming, smart, and loyal. And in a way, had Peeta been born in the Capitol and was among Snow’s contemporaries, Snow would have seen him as his ultimate rival.
Coz Snow was smart and knows how to manipulate people, but Peeta does it a lot better and a lot more successfully. With Snow, it’s right in front of his face and he still misses it. Often he is so close to getting it. How could he not have thought of the star-crossed lovers angle? How?? When one Peeta Mellark thought of it?
Which idk if there’s fanfics of that yet, but I need to read them asap, Katniss and Peeta and teen Snow, make it happen.
(But I was looking at my notes and I wrote probably the reason Snow didn’t think of the star crossed lovers angle because it was about his survival not about Lucy’s. Lucy was at best, seen as his possession. Even at the moments he was honestly in love with her, he still saw her as someone belonging to him only. )
Snow had two relationships going on: with Sejanus and with Lucy. I did find his relationship with Sejanus more interesting, because I think it’s that relationship that shaped him more that his relationship with Lucy.
I did like and even at some points enjoyed their Slytherin-Hufflepuff BFFship going on, coz despite how Snow let us know what he really thinks versus what he actually says, he was drawn to protect Sejanus, even though he’s reluctant about it or insist that he was made to do it or it’s also to benefit himself.
And I’m not saying there’s queerbaiting in this book, but certain pairings in this book makes more sense to ship than Johanna and Katniss.
With Lucy, i know many were wary or didn’t want Snow to have a relationship with her. For me i was open to it, at least intrigued to see where it will go or how will it be handled.
Honestly while it is still better written than most YA romances, I found it very insta-love. Again, my sense of timeline in this novel might be different coz I was listening to the audiobook instead of reading it, but they fell in love pretty quick.
While listening to the audiobook, i thought, if their relationship is at this point it must have been weeks since the reaping and the games haven’t started yet, and then Snow says it’s just been five days. They were making out I think by day 3 or something.
Maybe because I knew they relationship was doomed from the start and we know how Snow ends up, I was amused by certain moments in their relationship, coz all I can think about it is, oh honey no.
but also, I am mad that Ms. Collins is capable of writing amazing fluff moments in the midst of a dystopian world, and she wastes them on Snow and Lucy? Where was all that for Katniss and Peeta? i was given crumbs in the trilogy, Snow and Lucy made out so many times, at one point I even thought they were going to sleep together, like how dare you Ms. Collins.
For the many years we debated the meaning behind The Hanging Tree, Ms Collins, said no hun, this is what the songs means, let me tell you it’s origin story. And omg Suzanne, that was fucked up. Thanks.
One of the things I was worried about for this prequel is that while it is set in the future, the messages in it will seem outdated because a lot has changed since the trilogy came out.
But she wrote this book well before it was announced in 2019, before it was released in 2020, but she still made it very relevant for today and I think the messaging of this prequel would be more resonant in the future, like the trilogy is.
She touched upon how we really value children, and that immediately reminded me of school mass shootings and how we haven’t done anything about it. She lives in Sandy Hook when the shooting happened so this makes sense she makes a statement about it. And now we are sending kids to school in a middle of a pandemic for political reasons not because we are concerned about their education.
And there’s also mentions of a pandemic in a middle of a war, let’s say it was a whole mental experience alternating between listening to the audiobook and watching the news on January 6.
I also loved the lines: “why do people think the only thing they need for a revolution is anger?” and “we pour money into industries not people.”
While it’s almost unbelievable that the modern hunger games was merely a student group project by a bunch of privileged rich kids and one person who thinks slavery is okay ended up writing the whole thing anyways, that’s basically how this country and our system of governance was founded.
Dr. Gaul is also every Security and Development professor I had in grad school who teaches that war never ends and it’s not about winning it’s about control to a class of future leaders at the state department, white house, and pentagon. i mean, it’s the cornerstone of US foreign policy since end of WW2.
While also listening to this book, I am dead sure that Suzanne could write a different version of Catching Fire where Katniss and Peeta were mentors and they uncover the hidden 10 hunger games tape, and it still will be a be hella of a story.
It also makes sense that the two characters that could possibly tell us or Katniss the connection of Snow to Lucy were the ones who can’t talk: Mags and Tigris.
obviously lucy ended up in 13, possibly related to Alma Coin coz where else will she get that personal hatred against Snow?
Snow could have at least picked Clemensia or Lys, but Livia? i guess make sense since her offspring ended up being Plutarch’s assistant.
I feel like if i read the prequel before the trilogy, it would be a different reading experience. But at the same time, Snow, while he had his moments, is an unlikeable character even as an anti-hero, and his moral stand point is something i dont agree with, coz you know, he’s basically a republican. it’s like reading a book about a young Mitch McConnell, doesn’t matter if the system hurt him sometimes, as long as it hurts others more and keeps him in control, and i gag. I don’t think i would finish reading the prequel if i started with it instead of the trilogy.
but it does solidifies my theory that Snow’s evil is not because he is out of touch with the rest of panem, he knows suffering that’s why he knows how to exploit it. He is not oblivious to the problems, but he arrived at different conclusions or convictions, because again he supports the system that controls his enemies, even if the system is cruel to him too. Again, a Republican. Don’t be one, don’t date one.
I do wonder tho if he made good with champagne tuesdays when he became president.
I don’t see how this prequel works as a movie adaptation tho, even if turned into three parts. It makes more sense for it to be a series, so if lionsgate hasn’t declared bankruptcy before they can adapt this into screen, maybe with the state of movies right now due to the pandemic, they will be more convinced to make this into a series for Netflix or to launch their own streaming service.

ok theory time bc i feel like we have enough going right now that i can piece some stuff together
explanation below readmore, contains spoilers up to ep 12
basic breakdown - this arc has taken place within touma’s story. tassel as the introducer/narrator is the one reading the story. tassel and the hooded figure entering the story is in response to kento’s “death” bc theyre upset touma killed him off/touma killing him off changed some kind of timeline that needed to be maintained between the two worlds
pt. 1 - this was all written by touma
potentially anything after touma giving mei his manuscript may be forfeit as novelisation
for the sake of this theory we’ll say it starts with episode 8, when touma starts writing the story of them winning against the gorgon megid
the fiction doesnt stop there. he is still writing, up until the end of episode twelve
however not all scenes are within the novel
notably anything with tassel in it and the avalon bit.
pt. 2 - tassel
obviously tassel is up to something
considering what weve seen of them theyre paying close attention to the story, but they also seem to be experiencing it in a way not affected by the seemingly linear time of the story
the guest tassel has over is the hooded figure from avalon, who then shows up at the site of kento’s death
tassel defers to this figure, meaning they likely have an established relationship related to touma/sword of logos. sword of ethos? probably not i just think it would be cool if logos/ethos/pathos
pt. 3 - additional pieces given by ep12 + predictions
there are two distinct worlds, the one the megid are from and the one humans are from
this has complicated implications regarding rintaro (not human) and ren (described by desast as “like us”)
what im saying is that whatever happened 15 years ago with the sword merge disturbed the two linked worlds heavily, but left the human world more intact due to ???
possibly kamijo’s protecting touma/the power of touma & co.’s promise bc its a kids show
the majin want their world back and are clearly working with calibur to get it, probably with storious selling the unification (read: absorbtion) of the two worlds together as whatever “eternal truth” kamijo was talking about
is this a bad thing???
kamijo thinks hes doing the right thing.
personally it doesnt seem bad to want to save the megid world by absorbing it into the human one but i dont know enough about dimensional fusing to understand the dangers it poses
tassel and hooded figure will interact with the story, possibly setting the timeline back a bit and changing a few key things
kento stays with ren, rintaro stays in bed, etc
most notably, touma doesnt go to the fight at all, and instead starts writing again about his friends
thats about as much speculation as im comfortable with given what we have. i really dont think kento is gone for good bc this is episode 12 and they gave him sooo much screentime. just to kill him off? i dont think so

cats the movie was created by the mafia and here's why
so since one (1) person said that they still wanna hear this theory imma post it
first, the reviews of cats are so mixed, it's confusing. im not even sure if everyone is talking about the same movie. lets look at some of the more wild ones:
but then i found these two:
both of these reviews (the second one especially) explicitly mention celebrities, which, made me think of a conspiracy theory
i once watched a video (i think it was a shane dawson one) where he discussed how people believe that it could be a possibility that the government uses celebrities and their scandals to distract the population from their wrongdoing and general mishaps. that being said, lets unpack what we know about cats:
-cats themselves (as in the animal) are generally very cute and people find them funny. it is commonly perceived by some that the internet - youtube specifically - is “that place with the cat videos” and people are very entertained by them (think about tik toks, twitter and tumblr threads, vines, and ig accounts) and even interact with cats if they happen to be allergic to them. it is safe to say that the human population has somewhat of an obsession with cats.
-cats the musical is generally misunderstood by a lot of people. i have never actually seen it but from what i understand its a musical about cats competing to see who will die and theres one good song (memory). the internet has gone about about “what the heck is cats even about” for many years before the movie came out in the form of memes and other random internet jokes.
and now lets address the us government. right now most people agree that its plenty shitty for various reasons. even people in other countries Dont Get It. (im not going to get too into it because chances are if you have an internet connection you've heard about the shit the us government has done recently)
now. onto the movie itself. (hang onto your hats this is where it gets wild)
according to google, cats is a british american film. it is a well known fact that america was originally colonized by the british and we gained our freedom in 1776 (i really hope thats not news to you) but the war didnt end until the british surrendered at yorktown in 1781 and the treaty of paris wasn't signed until 1783. the british were notoriously salty afterwards, continuing to pirate american ships and do other generally annoying things which resulted in the war of 1812. it was not until after the war of 1812 (which officially ended in 1815) that the british recognized america was independent and actually started respecting them. britain and america were also allies and have famously teamed up to stop people from taking over the world (ie ww2 amongst others).
youre probably wondering what the hell this has to do with cats. stick with mw, we’re getting there.
in the weeks after the 2016 election, there were many memes circulating the internet along the lines of this:
needless to say, it was a wild time for america.
now, admittedly, britain was Also in the midst of their own wild time because of brexit, but somehow the election results managed to kind of overshadow that (at least in america).
so lets review some Important Dates:
-june 23, 2016 -> brexit is proposed
-november 8, 2016 -> 2016 election
-march 2017-> britain formally announces leaving the eu
additionally, in 2016 the worlds biggest superpowers were (in order) the us, russia, china, india, and the uk.
now, onto my theory.
the mafia has always notoriously been trying to be stopped by the government for their crime and is a strange organization with a lot of money. the mafia Does still exist although mostly in new england. since 2016 there has been a disconnect between the government and the people due to the staggering amounts that do not support the current president. the mafia may have seen this as an opportunity to overthrow the current government/president and cabinet and place their own person there so that they wouldn't get as much shit from the government.
this theory does get a little bit complicated regarding the presidents suspected ties to the mafia. however, the mafia is very powerful and i have no doubt that they could have somehow blackmailed trump or implemented false records in order to depict the president falsely. or they could have tricked the president into working with them in order to gain secrets to help them overthrow him. the possibilities are endless.
so in the time between the 2016 election and when britain formally announced leaving the eu, the mafia probably had some time to scheme a little, thinking up possible ways for them to overthrow the government.
after britain announced leaving the eu, someone in the government must have realized that it was making britain widely unpopular and they should do something to clean up their image. so they take a peek around and happen to notice that america is royally fucked cause of the president and there are people threatening to move to canada cause of it.
but why is any of this of importance to britain?
well, britain used to be the top world superpower before ww2, but then were beat out by america both after the war and when they announced nsc 68, a plan to make amerias military stronger and provide aid to american allies being threatened by communism. although britain and america stayed allies, it is likely that britain may have been a bit salty about this. and, if they could somehow get rid of trump and weaken the country this may bump the us from the lead world superpower and (if they were lucky) also russia and china who the president was more or less involved with.
low and behold who has the same desires? the mafia.
so the mafia and britain team up to defeat the us government. but how will they do it?
my friends, that is where cats comes in.
as stated, the government has previously used celebrity scandals to cover up and distract from their own. the mafia and britain would not have wanted to make this seem like anything out of the ordinary, so they decided to implement this form of distraction, but twisted it into grotesque exposure. but they needed a vehicle in which to use this
if you refer to my information on cats from before, american people love cats and cats the musical is a somewhat loved classic that makes little to no sense. additionally, theater fans have recently been calling for screen filmed shows so they dont have to spend lots of money on tickets (see newsies live and bandstand) so in order to pass this off as normal they chose to use cats.
howmst ever, they needed to make the american people not like cats anymore so that they wouldn't be easily distracted by them. how to accomplish this? make the cats in the movie cgi celebrities.
the celebrity lineup of the movie is quite impressive, containing the following:
james corden, judi dench, jason derulo, idris elba, jennifer husdon, ian mckellan, taylor swift, and rebel wilson.
these celebrities were all chosen for the type of audience they would draw in so that it would be as vast as possible. (old people, young people, middle aged people, etc).
the mafia paid these celebrities handsomely and coerced them into being in the movie.
now, lets discuss the timeline.
the movie itself premiered on december 20th and the mafia and britain would have begun creating it as soon as march of 2017. scripts take up to 12 weeks to write, putting them at june of 2017. pre production takes 10 weeks, putting them at about halfway through september 2017. it takes about an average of 10 weeks to film, putting them at december 2017. and, according to pixar, animating a movie can take between 4 and 7 years, however, the reviews have stated that cats only took about a year to animate the movie, putting it at about december 2018. this would give the mafia about 7 extra months for any needed editing or fixing between when they could have hypothetically started and ended the movie itself because the trailer came out in july of 2019.
they would have wanted to release the movie just before 2020 because that is when the next election takes place and they would need everyone to be immune to propaganda.
the mafia and britain creating cats explains a lot of things such as:
-why james corden has not gone to see the movie
-why the animation is so horrifying
-why the movie was made in such little time
-why the celebrities in the movie are actually in the movie
-why the budget was able to be so large if it was an epic flop
-peoples general confusion as to why the movie was even made
see, they would have known that even if not a lot of people saw the movie, it would have made headlines just because of how bad it is, terrifying people of both the celebrities in it (remember this includes james corden, a prominent talk show host and taylor swift, one of the top song writers) and of cats themselves.
in conclusion, cats was filmed by the mafia and great britain in an attempt to overthrow the us government.
be careful who you vote for in 2020.
#this has been a whole load of nonsense#i feel like shane dawson#cats#conspiracy theory#god im so sorry#bless
