My favorite thing to tell myself when I think things I'm making aren't good is that I'm just practicing. It helps so much. Like, I'm just posting fan fiction for fun, it doesn't have to be amazing, and if I push myself to finish it then the next one will be better. Giving yourself permission to be bad at something is so transformative.

#same with anything else #my motto is finished is better than perfect #i started saying it with cosplay #if i worried about my cosplay not being good enough i'd never be able to bring myself to work on it #and then i'd have nothing to wear to the con #and i'd never get any better

For the Laicion nation (aka, me and three other people)

I had this illustration commissioned (a big thank you to @lunehowls) for my werewolf AU Laicion fic (still a WIP).

The general pitch is as follows :

AU in which Laios never got to meet his sister again, putting his life on a whole other path, a more desperate one. A military deserter with barely a coin to his name, Laios hitches a ride on a boat to one of the elven continents, where he learns about magical tattoos that binds one’s soul to a wolf’s, effectively making them artificial werewolves. Illegal magic be damned, this feels like the answer to… everything.

In the process, he learns about the existence of an illegal fighting ring in one of the elven cities, where beastmen gladiators gather. Freshly tattooed and without anywhere else to go to, Laios decides to head there, where he meets Lycion, an elf and artificial werewolf gladiator. If they first bond over a simple shared meal, by spending time together (sharing the same room in the barracks, maybe the same bed? gasp) they find that they have a lot in common, notably a shared distaste for the body they were born in, a dysphoria partially remedied by becoming a werewolf.

They bond :)

Doing all of this while studying for veterinary school. It's hard. A week ago I started drawing Hiccup's mask for fun, then spent the next few days learning measurements and designing patterns and experimenting with materials and i guess I'm doing the whole body suit now. I forgot tumblr existed. I forgot a lot of things existed.

So, i said that i would try to make a Sun Wukong costume for my plushie, and i intend to keep my word!

So right now i've got..

WIP of attempt number 1 of the tiger skin skirt, im not sure If it will end up good but If It doesn't i can always try again

Mini book accurate Ruyi Jingu Bang (i tried writting in chinese multiple times but it's too small and my brush is too big 😭 so i tried to make the shapes of the letters at least, so It looks like there's something written on it)

Look at her with the staff! :D (she can't stand up straight lol, so Sunny has to sit on a brush for the picture)

And WIP of attempt number 1 and number 2 of the golden circlet. (Twisting the metal was a nightmare-) I think number 2 will look better, but we will see.

I want to try making a robe too, but i got no idea how im gonna do that yet, i'll have to see what materials i have.

And i want to try making a goard for her to carry, that will probably be easier to do
