But she also has a big influence on how her fans act. And the fact that she doesn’t say anything on how they treated him and STILL treat him? And how they continuously insist that she’s gay even though she hasn’t said so? It’s disgusting and she rightfully deserves to be called out for her behavior.

I don’t give a flying fuck if all she does is care about her job, is a workaholic. The way you handle things in times of crisis or serious situations is a poor reflection of your character and self and she desperately needs to work on that, fire her PR team or both.

If I recall, she said it is a "weird redirect" and that "with so many new characters, it will get lost", re: Xavier's absence. Which to me — again, I'm not a White stan, but I'm preeeeetty sure you are — just tells me they're pulling the whole DISTRACTIONDISTRACTIONDISTRACTION! game with that shitload of new characters, and Ortega is playing along. As EP she didn't seem too concerned about saving Ogawa's or the Watsons' jobs either, so...her powers much more likely than not don't go that far. She may be The Face and Burton might love working with her, but not all celebrity EPs are given that much power. Sometimes it's in name/title only, or are lighter in responsibilities than the ones who have to do all of the gruntwork.

But let's talk about those politics. Ortega comes from a conservative Roman Catholic background. Her book has a whole ass faith (religion) section. She was indoctrinated good, because that's how it is in a lot of Latino families. Her father is a cop, too...not just a businessman, as some websites love to say. He's still a cop, as of 2023.

Do people think Jenna's real wide on the left and subscribes to #ACAB? The girl was posting pro-cop/cop sympathy on her Facebook when she was a Disney teen. The Ortegas will always be on that side of the blue line, as well as on the side of Euro-colonization Jesus.

There's always some faith-based language saturating her mother's captions and comments, and Ortega has consistently stated that her mother is a very important figure in her life. Don't people who don't have faith or are non-believers comprehend those that do/are? I'm not sure that they do.

Well. We still have a few years to watch as she grows into real adulthood. I suppose we'll see how she continues to handle fame and the power that comes with it. Until then, I don't think we can blame her for anything surrounding the White situation, or the letting go of the others. She was more than likely told how the studio, the main showrunners, and the other actors should be handling it, since she's the big star of the show and can't be pissing off anyone else at the moment/souring people on such a lucrative IP (like Cynthia Erivo recently did).

Okay so: Virgil is a Pegasus who cannot/didn't learn to fly cause he grew up on the ground in the Everfree Forest; still lives there & used to being on his own

Remus is a unicorn with a broken horn, so every time he does magic, his spells go very wrong and kinda spiral outta control; bc of this, after a bit of chaos, Ponyville kinda ran him out and he hid in the Everfree Forest

There's some background Creativitwins angst... let's just say Roman was too afraid to defend his brother & while he tried to do something about it, it didn't go well & Ponyville threatened to run him out like his brother... Ya see where this is going. He got really scared and wasn't there for Remus when he needed him to be. They both miss each other a lot but don't like talking about it.

ANYWAY: so one day, Virgil & Remus come across each other. Remus is a chaotic mess & Virgil is anxious and not very good with trusting others; Remus is a little eager for some genuine connection bc he hates being alone. Virgil tries to just. Go on with his day, but Remus is persistent & won't leave him be. They end up sticking together bc they literally have no one else anyway so why not?

As their friendship grows, Virgil ends up genuinely caring about Remus and his chaotic self. Remus cares about Virgil & becomes a bit protective of him.

Later on, as they grow closer, they reveal insecurities & such. Remus with his fear of being alone, abandonment issues, and odd allergy of soap that comes up in conversation for no reason. Virgil with his difficulty trusting others and being vulnerable and all his anxieties and the fact he has wings but he doesn't know how to fly. They bond over both feeling useless sometimes (Virgil's lack of flight & Remus' messed-up magic issues).

At some point Remus has a difficult episode concerning his intrusive thoughts and Virgil helps him out the best he can with breathing exercises he knows from calming himself down from his own panic attacks. Remus admits to having pretty bad intrusive thoughts a lot of the time & that his episodes are common. He's surprised when Virgil is like "okay well uh is there things I can do to help take better care of you when they happen? Like what you need?" and feels so cared for by that sentence alone and actually feels safe for once after so long of being alone

The first time Virgil has a panic attack around Remus is also the first time he felt undoubtedly safe with someone after so long of being alone. Remus remembers the breathing exercises Virgil taught him and helps him through it. Let's just say it ended with them cuddling so close it was hard to tell them apart. Remus has this talent for distracting Virgil & making him laugh at the weirdest things & reassuring him in his own way.

So yeah, they both cared lots for each other & feel safe with each other & just sjsjsjsjsj GAY

uh anyway they never really have an official confession bc they just do what they want & get closer & at some point starting being romo with each other; Virgil gets anxious over it for a lil bit when he realizes how they act & how that might look & so he nervously asks if they're romo partners & Remus is like "yeah? I thought that was already established??" And Virgil is like "oh good for a sec I thought it was one-sided haha" and Remus soothes his anxieties by saying "you're one of the coolest ponies I know and I think you're hot so uh I hope we're romantic by now" and Virgil snorts at him fondly

So yeah they're romo partners

After that comes the question of "how did you end up here". Virgil talks about how he just lived here his whole life since he was a foal & doesn't remember the time before that (aka: he got abandoned as a kid but he don't remember his family from before cause he was a kiddo and young brain didn't want to remember painful memory anyway); Remus mentions growing up in Ponyville but they didn't want him anymore so they threw him out & even his own brother left him all alone (which btw makes Virgil mad/upset bc Remus' own family didn't want him?? I'm sorry what? He's super caring wdym???)

Remus doesn't mention Roman by name but vaguely mentions his twin. Virgil can see the pain in his eyes so he doesn't push. Remus softly admits to missing his brother and Virgil snuggles up next to him to comfort him. Ends in sleepy cuddles yusss

Sometimes when Remus is really insecure he feels like Virgil could leave him and never come back. This also ends in cuddles, very protective cuddles from Virgil. This dynamic is lots of comfort cuddles bc I say so :3

Back in Ponyville, Roman is missing his brother a lot & wants him back & feels so guilty about not being there for him when he needed to be. He's been searching for Remus since he left bc that's his brother but doesn't tell anyone else about it bc he's scared if he utters a word about missing Remus that Ponyville will boot him out

Roman's friends (Logan, Patton, Janus) all know he goes on these 'adventures' a lot. They've all figured out he seems to be looking for something but never finds it cause when he returns home he's always very sad and spends the day back locked away in his house. Patton likes to send over comfort cookies when this happens. Janus will invite him to see the next play with him so he has something to look forward to & will sometimes visit to distract him by talking about Roman's favourite plays with him. Logan always just sits by him in a companionable silence, which usually leads to this steady grounding cuddles. Roman loves Logan Cuddles the best when he's upset. Though they may fight sometimes, Logan's always good at being this comforting grounding presence.

ANYWAYS: so at some point them three figure out Roman is looking for someone; Janus kinda remembers Roman having a brother but doesn't remember what happened to him cause he was younger (youngest in friend group. And shortest. He hates it lmao). Eventually they piece together that he might be looking for his brother and thus try confronting him about, which doesn't go well if ya imagine; Roman gets upset and emotionally reveals what happened and how he's been trying to find his brother for so long and he's so guilty because he couldn't be there for him and he can't find him; all three comfort him cause omg that's a lot how long have you been holding this by yourself? Let us help we can help you look for him it's okay (which surprises Roman bc he's used to hearing hateful remarks about the 'Tale of the Chaos Pony' and how the Chaos Pony was 'thankfully' run outta town)

Patton is hesitant bc he's heard of the Chaos Pony, but offers help anyway bc it's Roman and he feels sympathy for Roman missing his brother

Uh yeah this leads to these four going on a quest into the Everfree Forest to find Remus. Roman give them tips on venturing into the forest bc he's been there so many times and he knows all the places he's already checked

So. Ya can prob see where this is going. With the help with his friends (in true MLP fashion) they find Remus! Yay! And this Pegasus (Virgil) who Roman finds a lil odd and rude but eh first impressions y'know? Yeah.

Except Remus sees him and stares as if he's dreaming. Roman tries to reassure him he's real but Remus doesn't believe him, saying things like "Roman wouldn't be here, he doesn't care about me, he left me all alone, he betrayed me, why would he care?" Which only makes Roman hurt more

ANGST

Virgil sees what's happening and goes to Remus to help. He tells Roman and the others to leave them alone bc they're causing Remus hurt bc it hurts to see his brother and such. Remus looks to Virgil desperately like "am I dreaming, is this real?" Cause he trusts his partner & Virgil tells him how it's really happening in this soft soft voice and Remus pauses. He looks back to Roman, who's crying, and looks to the others, who are watching all this unfold. Remus tears up bc Roman is really here but then it turns into angry tears bc Roman betrayed him and he starts upset shouting about how Roman left all alone and scared and he missed him so much but he hurt him... Yeah it gets very emotional

Roman is apologizing, over and over again, as Remus is hurt and angry bc he missed Remus so so much and he is so so so sorry he failed him as a brother and just wants him back and he never wanted him to leave.

Very messy emotional shouts later, the sky decides to rain bc um. Plot.

They all have to seek shelter in Remus' and Virgil's cave thing they live in. Uh. Idk there's mountains by/in the Everfree Forest, right? Idk, maybe they live in a giant tree like Zacora (idk how to spell her name, she's the zebra from the show)

This leads to Roman seeing for the first time a glimpse into what Remus has been doing for the last who knows how long since he was basically banished. He sees Virgil glaring over at him as he nuzzles and comforts Remus who looks very conflicted and distraught. Logan, Patton, and Janus come over to check on Roman and give him some comfort bc he's also very distraught

Umm, uh, so. Awkward and tension moments. Until Remus softly asks Roman "You really didn't want me to leave?" and omg Roman's heart aches of course he didn't; Roman explains to Remus how he's wanted him back for so long & how he's been searching for him so he can apologize and have his brother back again. Virgil is still very protective over Remus but seems to be glaring less.

This ends up in some agreed peace between the two groups as the storm outside gets worse. Janus makes a comment on that if Virgil is a Pegasus, then why doesn't he go and deal with the storm himself? Can't Pegasi fly?

Of course this sparks a whole new argument bc Virgil is insecure about not knowing how to fly and thus Remus defends him by telling Janus to "shut up it doesn't matter" but then Janus does the mistake of pushing for an answer & Virgil accidentally admits in heated argument that he doesn't know how to fly (Janus shuts up at that & Logan and Patton are kinda like witnesses to whatever to happening rn)

And Remus is like "so what? He's still super cool and caring. I can't do magic the 'right way' and he can't fly. So what? We're both still cool as fuck you bitches" and yeah, Janus apologizes in his own way of being like "my apologies then" which sounds halfway sarcastic bc Janus' voice just sounds sarcastic 90% of the time and that's just how it is

Uh yeah so, after some tension dies down and they all either apologize for what they need to apologize for or accept the apologies given, the storm (which turned from rain to a fucking snowstorm somehow (pony lore)) go away. They're all like "um what" and then realize it was the Windigos all along (these wind elemental pony spirits who feed on hatred and arguments according to MLP canon in the show) and then they all agree to try to actually hear each other out in the future to avoid the Windigos

Brother reconciliation bc I cannot do all this angst without some comfort okay? They cry and vow to never separate again, not like that, & hug the shit outta each other. The others are happy to see some happiness that the twins have each other again. Virgil is still protective over Remus but eases up by a lil bit. Just a lil bit.

Yeah um they all become friends

Roman asks Remus if he wants to return back to Ponyville with Virgil, and he's like "um nah they're all bitches. Plus you could just. Visit. Ya dork" and Roman's like "oh yeah lmao. But will you try to visit?" And Remus is like "maybe" and Roman takes that

(spoiler alert: Remus & Virgil do visit sometimes & find out the old mayor who booted Remus was unelected bc they weren't fair to anyone anyway. The new mayor is actually pretty rad & welcomes Remus back. Remus is still wary of Ponyville but a lil less so with a better mayor being there. Also Princess Celestia makes a token appearance and is like on official MLP Canon business with Twilight Sparkle [think the very first episode of the show happens the first time Remus visits Ponyville] & the Sanders Sides gang is a giant story happening in the background. So yeah)

Happy ending! Yay!

Bonus!

The twins will dual each other and stuff to bond. Usually in the forest

When Remus' intrusive thoughts get bad, his magic reacts to them and goes even more haywire than normal; only Virgil knows how to handle this the best & teaches the others how to take care of Remus (Remus' faves are Virgil, bc he already knows how to help, and Roman, bc his brother catches on quick and uh sibling comfort is unique to its own)

Virgil and Roman develop friendly banter

Janus and Virgil are a bit more rocky with each other at times but nothing friendship-ending

Virgil is a Pegasus & Remus is a unicorn right? Well, ya see: Roman's a unicorn, Logan's a unicorn, Patton and Janus are earth ponies (aka: the only Pegasus in the friend group is flightless, whoops)

Um some friendship nonsense happens and via hot balloon, Virgil sees Cloudsdale for the first time! He sees everything he was supposed to have as a Pegasus kid & that's an angsty hurt/comfort story right there on its own. Remus and Logan go with him for support.

At some point, the others ask Dukexiety if they're dating bc they're romantic with each other and they're like "yeah, we have been the whole time?? What are you, oblivious?" And yeah, the others were a lil oblivious to it sans maybe Logan. Mainly cause he's Logan and also he already asked not long after he met them

Comfort moments with the twins when some insecurities kick in; they stay with each other and hug the shit outta each other the whole time

Roman gets nightmares frequently & when Remus discovers this, he makes sure Roman knows he can always seek comfort from him when he needs it. Remus is surprisingly very good with helping a distressed panicky post-nightmare Roman feel safe again

Janus & Remus cause some chaos together. Occasionally. Okay maybe more than occasionally but hey. :3

Remus & Virgil have cutie-marks that have nothing to do with their disabilities (broken horn & flightless wings) bc their disabilities aren't the One Thing they are :)

so, to be perfectly clear: i am a multishipper. i have a lot of hcs that are waaay off from canon. i enjoy damien x ripper, ripper x chase, chase x zee, ripper x axel, axel x nichelle, bowie x raj, and now raj x bowie x wayne is growing on me. among other ships. i also love transfem harold, transmasc cody, non-binary zee, hell i've thought of my own crazy shit like transmasc emma (rr), transmasc heather, transfem justin etc. my problem with the ships and headcanons is when they are claimed to be canon, and annoyingly so, and when people get mad that they're not. which is insane. you can't expect every single ship or hc to be canon. you should've seen it coming that axel and nichelle wouldn't be together ever. you are 100% allowed to be upset that axel was put together with a man because it breaks your hc; it's happened to me dozens of times! but you can't call homophobia, especially when she hasn't shown attraction in girls, and neither has nichelle. and it's so okay to hc ripper as a transfem lesbian. i hc harold as that, and it's harmless! but you have to remember that in canon, they're not. and you can't claim they are. jokingly, sure; but you can't come on here and state in full seriousness that axel is still a lesbian because ripper is one too... and say it's canon. it's just not how it works.

TL;DR - i don't have a problem with "this straight ship is yaoi/yuri" or trans hcs, as i do this stuff myself, i only have a problem with it when it is repeated hundreds of times and claimed to be canon, which it's not.

Right now they're plans to your ranks in the USA and South America in fairly soon they're going to light you up like a Roman candle. I remember talking with a friend about how Volume 6 threatened certain fans with their beliefs and created a domino effect leading to Ironwood stan culture as we know it.

Namely how Adam Taurus, the edgy bad boy with a sword, was killed by two very queer-coded (at the TIME, bear in mind) characters on top of Team RWBY stealing from the military.

Hell, this technically has its roots in Ozpin's cosmic callout post and the fallout where sympathy for Team RWBY due to being strung alone was piled onto Ozpin.

All of this created what was the start of male RWBY fans feeling threatened by how traditionally masculine attributes like the wise old mentor, the red-black edgelord and the military's authority was being taken to task by the four female protagonists.

Thus all their chips were placed on Ironwood. He wouldn't let them down. He would be the big strong manly man in charge, the one even the protagonists answer to. Their Captain Gloval. Their Bright Noa.

But like Roman Torchwick put it, there are just some bets you just don't make.

The signs were all there but they were sooooo desperate for their Big Good General to pull through that they sided with him. His comment about "a few city blocks." He's right. Mantle has to be cut off for the greater good. His betrayal of Ozpin in Volume 2 and trying to cover up Penny in Volume 3 hastily? Water under the bridge amirite?

I mean, no wonder we had an Ao3 fanfic that was just eulogies for Ironwood and his character assassination. No wonder we have Fixing RWBY the way that it is. It's because it when it hit them just how anti-military it'd be beyond "a few bad apples" and how it would be queer beyond "Disney's First Gay Character(TM)" style.

And they felt betrayed.

People really acted surprised that RWBY went "The military is bad actually" in V7-8, as if it wasn't coming from the Red vs. Blue company, the show where the military is an evil organisation that uses low-ranked soldiers as living target dummies for their training programs and the most heroic of the Freelancers are all deserters in one way or another.

I mean for fuck's sake, Monty Oum himself animated the episode where Tex, York, and North turn against Project Freelancer and desert. And that was the season that ended with the Red Trailer!

For everything wrong with Rooster Teeth as a company, "The military is bad, actually" is something they've long held true to.

Practioner Red Flags

It’s hard to navigate who you should take information from and who you shouldn’t in Hellenic spaces. And of course there’s no one way to tell wether or not someone knows their shit, but here are a few red flags I’ve personally come across. If you don’t agree or have different experiences that’s 100% okay!

1. Oracles

A lot of Practioners consider themselves to be oracles. This isn’t inherently problematic but the practice of being an oracle is completely dead; an oracle was an elected position, so a modern day oracle is impossible because who the hell is electing you? There are other labels for seers / clairvoyant practioners, so the usage of the word oracle usually indicates a lack of historical understanding, and therefore cult understanding.

2. Zeus Haters

If you are a Hellenic polytheist, you cannot hate Zeus. If you hate Zeus your entire practice is invalid tbh. He is the king of the gods and the heavens, He is the father of the majority of the olympians He keeps balance and order and should be treated with nothing but respect. I can’t say this enough. Hatred of Zeus usually stems from mythos, therefore this hatred indicates a gross misunderstanding of the religion as a whole. This goes for anyone who “beefs” w any of the gods tbh. They all deserve basic respect and if you disrespect one of them you disrespect all of them.

3. Those Who Take Mythos Literally

Adding onto my previous point. The Hellenic religion is not centered completely around mythos. A lot of times mythos where entertainment; literature, plays. Not to be taken literally, not to be used to demonize the gods or other chilidish misconceptions. I have very little tolerance for this honestly.

4. Lore Olympus Stans

I don’t mean this literally. I mean the Hades and Persephone followers who say things like “Hades would never cheat on Persephone” or “Persephone had to escape her overbearing mother” or “She chose the underworld” etc. etc. etc. These practitioners have very little understanding of the gods they worship because these are very common statements that are very false and come from modern misconceptions. But also, literal Lore Olympus fans. The webcomic is just sketchy 😭

5. High Priestess / Priest

Again this is NOT inherently problematic but if someone’s best argument is “I’m a high priestess/priest of >deity< and they told me-“ everything that comes out of their mouth is going to be bullshit. A title w very little relevance does not give you the right to talk over other Practioners (see: Oracles)

6. The Conversationalist

Anyone who claims they are having full in-depth conversations w the gods should be handled w caution. Godphoning and clairaudience do not work like that & dramatized portrayals of those things are pretty harmful imo.

7. “Medusa was blessed”

Also known as “The Ovid Apologist”. This is a huge red flag & shows that the person in question is not critical of where they get their information. This myth was used to demonize Athena or Minerva plus it’s Roman; in the Greek myth, Medusa was born a gorgon. This applies to the Arachne myth as well, it’s Roman and was made w the intent to demonize Athena or Minerva.

8. Labeling the Gods

The gods are gods. They cannot be confined to labels. None of the maiden goddesses where aro, ace, or lesbian. none of the gods are gay or bi, they are all divine beings beyond these very human concepts. They do not have gender or sexuality because those are distinctly human things. Additionally these are modern labels being thrust upon ancient gods. Just an overall no.

9. TERFs

Men can worship any of the goddesses and, historically, have. Women can worship any of the gods and, historically, have. The gods do not confine themselves to gender and therefore aren’t invested in exclusionist bullshit. There are certain goddesses who protected women specifically (Hera, Artemis, Hestia, etc.) but they still had male worshippers and will continue to. The gods love their Trans and GNC followers and TERF rhetoric directly contradicts Hellenic practices, they cannot coexist.

10. Gate Keepers

Or fearmongerers. Deity work IS beginner safe, Hellenic deity work is open and Greek or Roman ancestry is not a requirement. Don’t let anyone scare you into delaying your path. You are the only person who knows what you’re ready for.

11. Triple Goddess

Hekate was not a triple goddess (in the mother/maiden/crone sense). but She most commonly is worshipped as such. She was a goddess of the crossroads and was commonly portrayed w three faces so she could see every direction. Hekate has many epithets and is the goddess of several things. She’s often reduced to the “mother of witch craft” which is. Sad tbh. She’s such an interesting goddess and Wiccan concepts have definitely watered down historical worship of Her. The Mother Maiden Crone thing is originally Diana, I believe.

12. Wiccans

Wicca is full of cultural appropriation & often times Wiccans convince themselves that their way is the only way. In general I personally avoid Wicca praticioners because it’s largely a cluster of practices from different cultures and it’s racially insensitive. It’s also a relatively new religion & I just don’t trust it honestly. Not all Wiccans are pushy about their practice, but it’s hard to seperate the cultural appropriation from Wiccan practices hence the red flag.

13. Rome Apologists

Dramatic title. In general people who don’t differentiate between Greek and Roman gods concern me. Some Hellenic Practioners completely divorce themselves from Roman influence and a common misconception is that all the gods are the same; they aren’t. Again this just indicates a misunderstanding of historical context in my opinion, but depending on how one incorporates it into their practice it’s not always a bad thing.

14. Anti-God spousing

When done right God spousing is a beautiful and personal practice. There’s a lot of people who take it out of context and turn it into a LARP kinda thing, but it’s easy to get information on what God spousing actually is so people who are adamantly against it make me side eye a little ngl. Especially because there is so much misinformation about god spousing, I think it’s important that Practioners push the correct narrative surrounding it instead of buying into the stigma.

15. Classicists / ~”Intellectuals”~

I see a lot of classicists thinking they have some authority over other Practioners but a good understanding of the classics does not equal a good understanding of the religion. Hellenic polytheisism is constantly reduced to its mythos and thats an oversimplification of what this religion and practice is. Classicists who want to have authority over the theological aspects only push this narrative. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer getting my information from classicists who study the religion, but not all classicists do. And being a classicist does not give anyone the right to talk over or down to other Practioners.

16. Twin Flames

Anyone who talks about soul mates and twin flames are concerning to me. A lot of times this narrative is used to make spirituality more marketable, a commodity to be bought and sold. “For $20 I can tell you who your twin flame is”. Point bank, I believe that everyone who needs to be in your life will be, and they’ll be there at the right time. The idea of a chaser and a runner or whatever normalizes abuse. It’s often used to excuse people’s shitty behavior. And don’t get me wrong, this definitely stems from TikTok, but at this point I just consider it a red flag. Don’t worry about the importance of the people in your life; let your relationships eb and flow naturally.

17. Manifestation

Personally I do believe in manifestation, but I don’t think it gives you power over other people and I see this common notion (on TikTok) that it does. I also think that it only works to an extent; the idea that reality is 100% in your control all the time can be harmful and contribute to delusions. I also don’t think u need to write down certain phrases 77 times or whatever. I’m very skeptical of new age manifestation I suppose.

18. Reality Shifting

I hate reality shifting. Honestly. Point blank it’s just lucid dreaming and like manifestation, it’s harmful to the mentally ill. Genuinely stay away from anyone who promotes it as reality shifting and not lucid dreaming. They have not done their research & clearly don’t care how the misinformation on reality shifting affects children & mentally ill people.

19. Star seed

The idea of Star seeds comes from new age spirituality I believe and has less presence in Hellenic spaces but it’s also ableist & often talked about in spiritual spaces so it earns a spot on this list. Like reality shifting, no one who preaches about Star seeds can be taken seriously. Or anyone who tries to tell you that you aren’t “from” earth. None of us are “from” earth, but all of us are supposed to be here in this life time and the idea that you aren’t is harmful.

20. Soul Contracts

The concept of soul contracts is the idea that we agree to every single thing that happens to us before we get to earth. And this is just victim blaming honestly. As humans we desire control over these things. We want to believe we agency but the hard truth is that we do not. And that’s okay. We don’t need to micromanage everything all the time. Not everything has to make sense. Sometimes fucked up things happen and there’s no rhyme or reason to it. The notion that we not only know these things are going to happen but that we agree to them or even decide they happen is disgusting. You did not bring your pain onto yourself and any one who tells you that you did shouldn’t have a tongue tbh. I hate the concept of soul contracts above all.

Please note, again, it’s okay to disagree. These are red flags in my experiences, and that could definitely be unique to me. It’s important that everyone makes up their own mind surrounding these issues. And just because these things make me question someone’s authenticity does not mean I actively dislike many of these qualities or beliefs (save for the TERF thing; if you’re a TERF or exclusionist fuck off).

Janus in the tree there biting a (green) apple obviously reeks of religious imagery. He is the snake of temptation in the garden of Eden, holding onto the fruit that bestowed knowledge onto Adam & Eve. I’m almost tempted to factor in his gloves with how particular & specific this imagery is. Much like in the court room scene, we can speculate that he wasn’t touching a Bible while he swore to the truth because of his gloves. Is he, then, not touching the sin of the apple in the same way until he takes that definitive bite? A very fun question I think.

But to tie this framing into Remus’ religious imagery - Remus himself represents the fruit of knowledge. His debut song was all about welcoming Thomas into the forbidden knowledge that is himself & his intrusive thoughts, after all.

Janus clutching the apple in his hands & taking of a bite of it then represents very clearly that he is in control of this forbidden knowledge - in control of Remus, at the very least. As Denial, he is the keeper of Thomas’ most scandalous & clandestine secrets. We saw it in the Patreon poster art as well; Remus kept in a box on the top shelf with Janus holding the key. Though that analogy can be naturally extended to say he is keeping all of the Sides locked up in their respective casing, which I think is very close to the truth.

This scene was very clever imagery however. It orchestrated that Janus really does have an undefined but potentially vast amount of control over the Sides. From his position off away from the others, above them in a tree, observing them, & then passing an approving judgement that “everything is fine,” on the situation - he had the last say (ignoring Orange’s brief appearance). Much like God, I’d like to think. He is, after all, based loosely on the Roman god of beginnings & endings - Alpha & Omega - much like the Christian God.

I can’t wait to see how much more power he has. What he is actually capable of. How much string pulling he’s doing behind the scenes. I know everyone is very excited for Orange (& intrulogical, naturally) but I think this sort of cliffhanger for us Janus stans has a lot of potential.

Is it Kenstans that are arguing against that? While I wouldn't call myself a stan of any of them, Kendall is my favorite character with Shiv a very close second. But anyway, I used to think that Kendall being Logan's favorite was an obvious fact (which sure as hell doesn't mean Logan abused him less or treated him better, as a matter of fact being Logan's favorite (aka the child he puta most emotional energy in and values the most) is a curse in itself as his love is abusive, possessive, overbearing and all kinds of toxic, coming off as a mix of love and hate (which makes Kendall feels similarly about Dad) and Logan is selfish, petulant and insecure and feels jealous and threatened by his children once they're adults, especiallyKendall, which makes him treat them even worse), but then I met a lot of opposition to that and people insisting that Shic is his favorite...? Which strikes me as misinterpreting his condescending "girls are to be protected" attitude towards her as favoritism. And while Shiv gets to share the "higher status sibling" position with Kendall, Logan definitely strikes me as an "old school" sexist father who can never put the same value on a daughter as on a son. (The most common argument I've seen is "she's the only one whose photo he kept in his office", which to me reads just like something Logan would do because a photo of his beautiful daughter where she is smiling and at her most girly looking is what he'd put in his office as girls are decorative and non-threatening in his mind, whereas a photo of a grown man in his office can only of presidents etc. meeting with him to show his own greatness - otherwise it would feel either threatening to his own specialness, or kinda gay (this is the guy who mocked one of his sons and called him the F wors for showing him love, after all).

Maybe it's because Kendall called Shiv Logan's favorite in season 1 to imply she would be treated better and bear fewer consequences for disobedience? To which she replied "F*ck you", unsurprisingly, since I don't think she saw herself as Dad's favorite. None of them got normal expressions of love or felt cherished or validated, but 's a core trait of the Roy sibling relationships that Shiv and Roman are jealous of Kendall's status in the family (while Connor is too much on the outs as the one Dad ignores the most, with the rest of the family taking cues), while Kendall's struggle is primarily about his own self-worth in connection to what is expected of him and his role as Logan's heir and his relationship with his father, and Kendall needs to first fail and/or fight against Logan and be out before Shiv and Roman get a chance (and start competing with each other). To the point that I, as an only child of a single mother who knows what's like to have your parent's attention all on you (for better or worse) find his experience the most relatable of the siblings. ("It's not all about you" - but both Kendall and his siblings make it all about him even in that final fight in the boardroom.)

Some people argued that "it's just business where Logan favored Kendall", which I find an odd argument since business is all about how Logan shows attention to his children or really snyone, he had no life outside of business, he uses his company to keep his kids close, and business is the means through which his children are looking for love and validation. What else is the show about?

I’ve come to realize There are two very different kinds of Silent Knight shippers  And I only care for one of them It seems to be divided by how we get into the ship 

-

1). Jaune and Neo are compared to each other through their literary foils. They share major themes and have similar goals. 

Shippers starting down this route tend to see the ship as angsty, hurt/comfort, and full of additional agency for Neo

2). These shippers generally come from the Jaune-stans group. They see Jaune as a protagonist hero that they relate to. Neo is seen as the hot, morally-grey, manic pixie dreamgirl they are attracted to. Therefore this ship is more of a self indulgent self insert. 

Neo doesn’t get agency and is seen as the hot girl Jaune wins over

I’m not going to tell you who you are or why you like this ship. There are probably a million other reasons to get into this ship. These are the main two I personally see interact on my posts.

She’s not a cute sex symbol. She’s a complicated and dynamic character

Thoughts About Remus' Playlist

So as usual, this is my first reaction/rant/analysis about the playlist! This time, it’s Remus’ Playlist. I think it’s going to be cursed. But a... good cursed, if that’s a thing. As usual, feel free to add on to this! It’s good to share thoughts and talk about meanings, even making predictions about the future! 

General Overview Before Listening: I love Yugen_sama ‘s artwork; her style makes me happy! Also, Remus doing that? TOTALLY HIM. Just looking at the choice of songs does mirror Roman’s playlist in a way with their own anthems, Tenacious D, maybe an etc. We’ll have to see on that. His explanation with all the emojis is definitely him, and I think that’s all I can say. Just look at it.

Reminder: Before we go on, a little reminder for your safety. The songs can be quite... a handful. If you know about Remus’ personality and interests but still wanna read the overall analysis, go to the TL:DR at the way bottom without reading the specific song analysis. If you remember the TW from the video, that really applies here. Stay safe. 

Song Analysis:

This Devil’s Workday: Genius told me that this is about a criminal going mad. Yeah. The blazing trumpets and the really radio-like voice in the song is kinda creepy, but that goes with Remus as intrusive thoughts! He’s very obtrusive, and he’s everywhere without any filter. It’s a good intro to his character. The poor sack of puppies in this song goes back to his theme’s lyric, “your pet dog stuffed into a sausage” Also, the repetition of “All the people that you know / Floating on the river are logs” is like what he does to Thomas (repetitively reminding him about the bad things). The  “Oh I am my own da[ng] God” goes along with all the biblical references he makes in his theme (and just the dark sides in general). All in all, this song/introduction just is him screeching, “HI, I’M YOUR INTRUSIVE THOUGHT WITHOUT THE UGH.” 

Forbidden Fruit (the Duke’s Theme): If you are a Fander, you definitely are singing/screaming this on top of your lungs as you listen to this. I did that, and I love that. This song itself has a lot of good analysis online, so check them out! It was the intro song of the Duke with all his motives, thoughts, and everything beyond that, so it’s definitely on here. Also, it mirrors A Gay Disney Prince from Roman’s playlist by both being their own “I want” songs as well as their character role songs. The Creativitwins strike here once.

Double Team: Tenacious D! The Creativitwins strike here again! Wonderboy was on Roman’s playlist, which is also a Tenacious D song, so you can definitely say there are some mirroring going on here (also! YES the artist choice seems like a definite factor in choosing these songs). So this song is about having sex. Okay. And having a threesome. Okay, Remus. This song, even though it’s from the same artist as Roman, has a really different theme. If the Tenacious D selection is about the twins, would this mean that Roman wants them to be a really good team who, even though are opposites, can get along, while Remus wants them both to lose the filter and have fun? Overall, it could mean that the twins both want to get along, just in different ways which contradict one another. I’m not going into the lyric details because oof.

Man: I just noticed that Yeah Yeah Yeahs was on Patton’s and Virgil’s playlists. On Remus? I didn’t really expect that, but that’s a pleasant surprise. This song is really interesting because it’s not like the other two. This song, for me, is about someone who is obsessed with a man who would make her do anything, and she’s just hooking up with him or something. Also, the whole, “You're all gonna burn in hell / I said we're all gonna burn in hell” goes back to the biblical references that the Dark Sides make as well as the lyric of “Cause your head's not in the gutter, pal / It's in Hell.” Who is the man? Thomas, probably. This probably directs back to Remus convincing Thomas to drop the filter.

Freeee: “When man becomes possessor of the knowledge of himself, he becomes the master of his environment“ in the beginning of the song is Remus telling Thomas to learn about himself by possibly accepting Remus. The lyrics “One day they hate you / Next day they love you / I'm still yellin' "F[*]ck 'em" / I could never trust—” show how Remus doesn’t trust the society like Janus, and that’s just one of the main core of the dark sides. They don’t trust people that much. This does include Virgil since he is anxiety, so he can’t trust everything immediately. They all have different ways of showing the distrust. For Remus, it’s the layback, “frick it” attitude. “I don’t feel pain anymore” and “nothin’ hurts me anymore” seems to be a potential for Remus angst of being rejected from all the sides and being the “Evil Twin”. Does he care or not care? No one knows yet.

In The Room Where You Sleep: Sleep from the shorts and Virgil will both react really strongly to this song. Why? “There's something in the shadows / In the corner of your room / A dark heart is beating / And waiting for you” (Telltale Heart reference-). Yeah. Remus listening to this would go back to that end card of Remus being creepy (and eating deodorant). Also, it possibly demonstrates Virgil and Remus’ relationship; Remus scared Virgil because of his thoughts and conjectures. The repetition of “You better run / You better hide” would also contribute to this thought, definitely. But then again, that melancholy keyboard... Why that montage at the end?

No Reason Boner: The song is very catchy and funny. But ASDKLFAJSD. This is definitely Remus’ type of song. That means that the sexual information is given control to Remus, and he probably uses the information for his jokes and intrusive thoughts. This song is what Remus' personality is: goofy yet NSFW. This intrusive thought without the ugh is probably lovable in this fandom because of that. Also, I don’t know why, but he can have that naivete even though he’s the one in charge of stuff like that. A nice juxtaposition right there.

I Told You I Was Freaky: This playlist is a RIDE. VERY MUCH A RIDE. Just all the sexual references in this song are just 1000% Remus. The song itself is quite whispery, and I guess that goes with Remus because he whispers the dirty stuff into Thomas’ ears. Well, whisper is very much an understatement. But I have to admit, if you listen to the lyrics, there are some very creative ways that people don’t think of. It’s usually a bed, a car, or in a club or party, but the lyrics are more than that. Then, we can assume how capable and skilled Remus is as the Dark Creativity; he’s as good as Roman, just in a different category. 

Queef: If you don’t know what a queef is, I didn’t too. I just looked it up while I was typing this. Wait, isn’t Awkwafina in like a movie? This, like that last song, is basically him going off on his creativity and wordplay. In future episodes, I would love to see how Remus can go off with his wordplay because if Roman’s good at all the nicknames, and if Remus is basically him but darker, that means he’s good. Like really good. This song is also very, very catchy, and I kinda jammed through it because of the beat.

Manners: According to genius, this song is a "sexually-charged bad b[*]tch anthem on which Ashnikko displays her “IDGAF”-attitude.” Basically, the vine, “I’M A BAD B*TCH YOU CAN’T KILL ME” would equate to Remus as well as the meme, “Aren’t you tired of being nice? Don’t you want to go APESH*T-.” This might connect with his facade in a way because he seems to be naive and goofy at times (although NSFW), but when he drops it, he drops it fast, and he drops it hard. For example, his facade drops when he threatened Logan in DWIT, and his facade can be picked back up quickly, too. This song also has the element of “Frick this world” attitude, which Remus showed in the previous songs, and I stan him. As the fandom did an edit once, he would definitely wear acrylic nails if he wants to. A thing that I did notice though is the lyric “Fight or flight, I’m fighting for my life.” HI VIRGIL!

Ben Bernanke: I don’t know who Spencer is, but a big OOF for him. This song’s structure is really unique because I have no clue where it’s going, and it’s going with Remus’ personality of just randomness and intrusivity (is that a word?). ALSO, the continuing snakes in these songs. So is Spencer Janus in our context? If so, Remus is quite mad at Janus. I do see why though, after that last video implying that he’s the Evil Twin. “Do you think you can mock me, Spencer? / Do you think you can capture my essence / And throw it back at me with / Humor and rhetorical devices?” Gosh, Janus and Remus could have beef with one another. Also, that “Avada Kedavra” and “I’m... a furious magician” could definitely foreshadow something in the future. Additionally, “You're the architect of my dreams, Spencer / You plan them, and build them on blue paper / And hand them to me / And then I dream them, Spencer.” 

Worldwide Torture: “I never come second place / Always been a big disgrace Smell the fear, I know you see / High achiever (Yeah, that's me!)” Welcome to Remus’ angst that we do not know much about yet. It’s great. It’s just like Roman, but in a more “I’m a disappointment” way! However, what’s quite different is that Remus is pissed. Beyond pissed about it, so he acts up unlike Roman who tries to mask it. Because he knows that he’s not regarded nicely with any of the sides, he wants to molest them and destroy the world, shown by the lyrics “A pure violation of God's great creation / It’s an infestation, it’s world domination.” I think this issue might pop up more frequently as more episodes come out, but for now, this is my assumption. Out of context, “The highest score” goes with that last episode, since Remus was present as the 80085. 

Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na): I DIDN’T EXPECT THIS TO BE HERE, BUT I LOVE IT. THANK YOU. WOOOOOO YASSSS. This is actually one of the “pump me up” songs. First, “Eight legs to the wall, hit the gas, kill them all” is, obviously, a spider in the song, but in our context, we can also call it an octopus because Remus’ animal is an octopus, which has 8 tentacles (6 legs and 2 arms). Second, Remus is PISSED. He definitely has a punk aesthetic, shown by all the songs about flipping the world. The lyrics “I’d rather to to Hell / Than be in purgatory” definitely shows his determination of doing so since he’s saying that he won’t sit back. Somehow, for me it’s a growth from the beginning of “I don’t care” to “I actually care, and I’m fighting for that sh*t”. Pissed off Remus is scary Remus.

Trash People: Trash rat boiiiii. But this song is more than that. It’s showing that trash people aren’t really... trash people. “ Art is love and love is sloppy / Nothing is all pure / Nothing is all dirty” really shows the whole duality aspect in the entire series. Everything is gray. And that’s what Roman and Remus need to work on since they were divided by the black and white mentality. If Remus is okay with the gray morality, then who would be the one that he’s directing this song to? Roman. “Wearing a smile and a heart on my sleeve” though. I don’t get this lyric, but then again, tell me what you guys think! Does this mean that Remus is actually trying to be like this, or is he mocking Roman... The “no time to start over” also sounds really ominous.

Tranz: Gorillaz! Same album as Roma-OKAY THIS IS GETTING REAL. The last one with this artist had the lyrics, “I’m the lonely twin, the left hand... I don’t want this isolation.” People were screaming about this because, of course, this refers to Remus, but who knew that this was going to pop up again! That’s why I loved the artist connections during these analysis. Anyways, this goes back to the twin duality, but more of an angry tune. Take a look at this: “Do you look like me? Do you feel like me? / Do you turn into your effigy? / Do you dance like this forever?” Remember Roman’s whole monologue about Remus as someone he sees in the mirror with all the things he doesn’t want to be? This song is Remus asking Roman about that statement. Keep in mind that effigy is a sculpture that is usually used to mock or burn and is used as a negative connotation (thank you my English teacher). Remus doesn’t like that comparison at all, and I’m more concerned for him now than I was ever before after Janus saying that too. 

Death as a Fetish: Wow, this is sad. “And I will never be good enough, quietly / And you will never be good enough, just like me.” If the twins have the time to reconcile, this is probably the first thing they need to help out on each other. Remus knows more about his twin than we all thought, and he knows that both of them have problems about that. On the other hand, this song, when I looked at some of the annotations on genius, has a sad connotation. Life is so short, and it ends, and you know for sure that death is there at all times with that repetition of “death as a fetish” after everything we find positive. For Remus, I guess he knows about this. He’s a deeper character than we credit him as.

Don’t Stop Me Now: TONIIIIGHT IM GONNA HAVE MYSEEEELF A GOOD TIIME- okay. This song is something I scream my lyrics to. I also didn’t expect this, but in a calmer manner (because I wasn’t calm when this was on), yes please. Basically, DON’T STOP ME NOWWW! I don’t know how to explain this in a deeper way. Yeah. I LOVE THIS SONG THOUGH!

Things I Don’t Remember: “Things I don't remember / How the hell'd we get here? / How the hell did we get here?” This can be interpreted in a lot of ways. It could either be how all the sides came to be, how Roman and Remus came to be by both having the role of creativity, or just where Thomas is mentally since they are all Thomas. I think that’s depending on how you want to go about it. The last point is the strongest for me because of this one phrase of  “There were endless conversations / No one's mouths were really moving” maybe referring to the sides’ conversations around Thomas’ dilemmas. They sometimes only make it worse until someone has to kick in to change the viewpoint around, and that’s the reason why it feels like nobody’s mouths were really moving. Also, dressed up alligators? Okay, Remus.

F*ck It!: (Censored by yours truly with her notecard of “note your language”) The album name of taxidermy... fitting. Back to the song. “Why abstain? Why jump in line?” and “They say don't take the risk you're sure to fail... But what's the worst that could happen, end up in a coffin? / Isn't that where we're all headed anyway?” really highlights Remus’ spontaneity, which is a big factor in intrusive thoughts. This is back to the “frick this”, but more a “frick it I’m doing that sh*t, and I don’t care about the consequences” (going back to Na Na Na on that). Also, “'Cause it's easier to lie to yourself than to face reality” reminded me of Janus, but does this also apply to Remus in a way? Or does this apply to all the sides who are lying to themselves, especially Roman? Anyways, Remus’ spontaneity is something to kinda look up to at times. Not... not all the time. 

fReAkY 4 Life: Dorian Electra... the one behind Flamboyant from ROMAN’S PLAYLIST! The Creativitwins music solidarity number I-forgot-to-count. To the lyrics! “They just don't understand me / I'm not like them, I'm freaky” does go to all the other sides and Thomas because Remus really stands out from all the other sides. Silly yet NSFW, weird, and very new. Also, he seems to want some attention from all the sides with “ I like to be in the spotlight / Step on the scene ’cause it feels right / I freakin' scream, baby, all night / I do it, I do it, do it all the time,” but is it a distraction or legitimate attention? I love how this song is the finale because this song is the fireworks that says Remus. All the lyrics really match him, and especially with the “I hear what they call me / I hear what they say / I'm not very cool, yeah / But I'll never change,” it cements how Remus thinks. 

TL:DR: 

Remus is a character deeper than we already know him as. There are a lot of him that hasn’t been introduced to us since he’s pretty new. He has been on for about 2-3 episodes (only 1 with his full participation), and he never really interacted with Roman nor Janus, both who has a history with our little gremlin. Yes, Remus is the Duke of Dark Creativity and intrusive thoughts; there are so many references that are R-rated in this playlist, but in the end, he is another side. He more than the trash boi who gleefully talks about sensitive topics. 

He still has a connection with Roman with all the overlaps in their insecurities and artists, and he’s probably the one who’s more knowledgeable about their relationship as a twin. He could even want to reconcile with his twin, but in a way that Roman would not approve. That doesn’t mean that Remus is kinda mad at Roman. A fun house mirror.

Next, He doesn’t want to change himself in the sake of others although he knows that the others hate him for being him, and he’s actively going against it, not caring about the consequences. That’s what drives him to be really good at his job. He’s as good as Roman on doing his job. Along with that, he wants Thomas to embrace him as one of the sides and come over to the dark side of creativity. It’s one of Remus’ biggest dreams: acceptance. I want to see how this plays out with him and especially him.

Finally, he’s pissed. Very pissed. After all the berating at his back from all the other sides, including Janus, he’s PISSED. He’s ready to throw hands and wreck the world. I’m starting to be worried for how his character would develop. If he goes apesh*t, I’m getting popcorn and coke. Maybe drink every time we see him go feral. Eat a popcorn every time someone is disgusted by Remus. 

Overall, I love him more than I ever did because of this playlist since music is the window to the soul. It’s like knowing a person and learning about them. Also, by doing this, it really develops the character and lets the people look inside the character’s deepest thoughts and desires. I don’t know if there will be any additions to these, but if not, I really want to thank the entire group who made this happen! I found some songs that I really love now, and it’s such a good way for the fanders to have fun! (also, the content inspired from this is going to be very interesting)(the ANGST)

Patton ends up the one praising him the most he just wants his boy to be HAPPY okay

But it doesn't really take cause Roman doesn't quite believe it

He thinks that's just Patton being a Dad(TM) and pitying him and Patton's gotta be like. No. I mean all of it.

They have to have a talk and Roman does not enjoy addressing all of his insecurities so directly, but by the end of it he's openly weeping in Patton's arms

Roman has always loved Patton’s room

He goes there when he needs a reminder of everything they’ve accomplished

Patton didn’t realize why Roman was doing it before, but now every time he finds Roman in there he reminds him that the future is just as bright

They reminisce together AND talk about everything to come

They both love to cuddle but they’re also both big spoons so they fight about who gets to hold the other

Patton usually wins because Roman secretly loves to be held as well

Patton likes to make flower crowns and he makes them for Roman the most

“A flower crown for a flowering prince!”

From then on Roman makes Patton so many damn flowers it’s ridiculous

There’s blue and pink flowers all over the house because there’s no more space for them in Patton’s room

Their arguments turn into Logan aggressively praising Roman

“YOUR WORK IS AMAZING YOU GODDAMN IDIOT”

Despite this Roman still tries so hard to impress him

At some point Logan slips and says Roman already impresses him plenty and Roman’s like

What.

“I said you already impress me, Roman. Your creative ideas and dedication to your work is impeccable.”

Roman.exe has stopped responding

No but seriously Roman starts crying and Logan has no idea what to do

They have an awkward but nice hug

After that Logan does his best to throw in casual compliments on any of Ro’s work

Neither of them realized how much Roman needed specifically Logan to praise him

Look I’m not TRYING to make this gay this is just CANON

Roman starts actively coming to Logan to show off his work, always beaming with pride and a little nervous energy

Logan learns to only critique him if he asks for it, and they work together to make wonderful things

Virgil

He was the first to pick up on how insecure Roman was back before he was accepted

He never did anything about it because he assumed Ro wouldn’t care about his opinion

Lol yeah no he was very wrong and he didn’t realize that until the 12 Days of Christmas fiasco

The first time Virgil compliments him it’s just like “hey that’s a cool drawing” and Ro just freezes

“...You think so?”

Virgil realizes he has a lot of work to do but Roman deSERVES IT

Hey remember in the loving Virgil hcs I said Virge is just as protective over Roman?

Yeah when he hears about what happened in POF he’s ready to kill a snake

Of course that doesn’t happen and things turn out fine but the point is Virgil. will. kill. for. Roman.

Even Remus learns to fear Virgil’s wraith when it comes to Ro

When Roman realizes this he’s like okay but why?

“I don’t know. You just... deserve it?”

Truth is Virgil knows all the dark sides (including himself) have unfairly targeted him over the years and he wants to make sure that never happens again

All Roman can do is smile, thank him, and promise Virgil that he will always protect him, too

I’m sorry y’all I’m too soft for these two

Janus

Out of everyone, Janus has the most work to do

He screwed up the moment he used Roman’s insecurities against him

When he’s accepted fully, Roman admits that he may never fully trust him, but he can at least value his input

While that would be enough for Janus, he doesn’t give up that easily

He first asks Virgil for advice and he’s like “Have you considered HAVING AN HONEST CONVERSATION WITH HIM?”

“Yeah but he won’t trust my word”

Virgil, the master of seeing through Janus’s bullshit, comes with a genius idea

So they go to Roman and teach him how to tell when Janus lies

It goes surprisingly well

Janus: “I’ve always admired you, Roman.”

Roman: “I don’t get it. He didn’t show any tells that time.”

Virgil: “That’s because he’s tELLING THE TRUTH YOU IDIOT”

Now every time Janus lies Roman goes “That’s a lie~” in a sing-song voice

Janus would be annoyed but he can’t help finding it endearing

“You’re absolutely hideous. I find your work just appalling. I don’t love you-”

“JANUS PLEASE-”

Okay this is getting too long Janus and Roman are just too powerful rijvnrfv

Remus (do not tag as ship)

This is where I start crying

It’s Roman who reaches out to Remus. It’s the hardest thing he has ever had to do.

He apologizes for abandoning him, for not understanding him, for being a bad brother

Remus doesn’t take it seriously. He doesn’t know how to take anything seriously, but Roman is insistent

“But that’s just our dynamic! The good and evil twins!”

“It doesn’t have to be, Reem”

The nickname brings him back to their childhood, and Remus gets angry

Roman listens and takes the yelling, and by the end of it Remus is crying and collapsing into Roman’s arms

It takes work on both sides. Remus has forgotten how to treat Roman like a brother, and Roman has forgotten how to interact with Remus in general

But this is about loving Roman so let’s get back to that

Remus loves to tackle hug Roman

He calls it “glomping” just to annoy him and Ro nearly murders him every time

“THIS ISN’T THE EARLY 2000′s ANYMORE PLEASE STOP”

Half of their dynamic is trying to kill each other but in a loving way

The pranks. Oh gods poor Janus cause you know they target him

Who else are they gonna prank? Virgil is flight or fight, Logan doesn’t have fun reactions, and Patton is too sweet. Sorry Janus get PRANK’D

Remus used to be so good at comforting him and the day Roman comes to him again for that same comfort it’s so hard for Remus not to just break down crying

Roman has a nightmare and he’s like “The only nightmare in your life should be me!”

Just... brothers, man. Let them be brothers.

Roman

He’s always been prideful, but they all see the difference.

Thomas sees it in the laughter of their practice performances

Patton sees it in the way he bounces about, always ready to take on something new

Logan sees it in their work sessions, taking criticism like a champ and striving to improve

Virgil sees it in the statements of confidence he always spoke, now with something much more true in his expression

Janus and Remus see it in his smile, the one they haven’t seen since they were children

And with his new - but not new - energy, he brings everyone up

Roman’s their hero once again, but not in the same way as before: Roman saves them every time he creates,

Every time he smiles,

And every time he gets to be unapologetically himself.
