My favourite Vinsmoke actors from the One Piece live stage show and Sanji Restaurant in Universal Studios Japan.

That one particular Niji performer does his act so SO good, it's just straight up unhinged madness. He tries to kick away staff members (it's just acting, of course), turned up his nose at fans who were waving at him (the fans love it), and even when just standing and posing he does it in a way where it looks like he's up to bad stuff.

I always joke that it's really just Niji who found a portal to the real world.

Also, this Ichiji always does his gestures with so much intensity and drama, I can usually tell it's him even if the face is blurry or not visible. The other Ichiji actors kind of leans more on a "cool and calm" sort of act, but this guy is just fire 🔥🔥

It could be all just unfortunate timing since Universal forbids the posting of videos. Maybe the other actors actually does dramatic flairs too, but the photos just don't show it, but the impression I got from the photos that were there.

According to the cast list his name is Uno, which is so funny. I know it's just a Japanese surname, but still.

And then Yonji. This one guy is tall and has muscle, so he gets to actually go around showing off and flexing his arms at the visitors. It also makes it 10000x more vibe when he does the "AAAAAAH CUTE GIRLS 😍😍😍" thing (yes, they really do that 😂😂). All the Yonji actors do it, but this guy is the biggest and tallest, so it just looks extra funny (and adorable 💚).

Sanji is Sanji, so there's been like dozens of actors through the years, I can't go through them all. Of the ones I've seen I like this guy the most. They're all so cute, but this one has a really really nice smile. It's just sunshine when I see it ☀️☀️☀️

Reiju is a brand new addition to the performance, but the actresses are all so lovely!!

I just remembered that up until 5th grade, all of the sports teams I was in weren't separated by gender. I played basketball and baseball with boys. And we did just fine.

It wasn't until 6th grade when they segregated it by gender. It didn't make sense to me. I was now in softball instead of baseball, because "softball is for girls" and "baseball is for boys" (which confused me bc my dad was on an adult softball team).

Now, my brother's all-male team didn't win a single game. My all-girls team won every single one.

They presented the boys' team with this HUGE trophy, and if you wanted replicas of it, they were $30 each.

My team was presented with a very small trophy. Extras were $5.

That's when I decided gender-segregated sports were bullshit.

seeing some prophecy discourse which has once again reminded me why i personally find the prospect of dany as the prince that was promised really compelling. and it makes the targaryens so much thematically richer. like, they only survived the doom through the power of prophecy and then the visions marked them forever and this thing, this blessing which gave generations of targaryens some existential meaning eventually morphed into a curse which brought so many of them great misery—"my brothers dreamed of dragons too, and the dreams killed them, every one." (aemon, affc) and in due course almost ended their line once again with rhaegar. but then dany happened.

almost four hundred years since the doom when prophecy saved them and nearly killed them again on the trident, dany was born. dany who carries echoes of all her targaryen ancestors within her. she's aegon the conqueror come again but she's also maegor the cruel when she promises the khals who had hurt her khalasar would die screaming. she's rhaenyra in her struggles to wield power and establish legitimacy as a woman, she shares her sense of egalitarianism with egg, and she drinks from the cup passed from rhaegar, i.e. inherits (what he once thought of) his narrative destiny to help defend the realms during the long night.

dany who is both their beginning, since she's the first targaryen created and introduced to us on page and the narrative end point of their dynasty. which reflects all the way into her arc being cyclical by design as it calls back to the foundation of the valyrian empire in essos—during the fifth war the freehold torched old ghis with dragonfire so nothing would grow there again and centuries later this girl, the last dragon, is going to help plant trees there again. it's not about retreading old ground or rejecting her house words but about redefining what it means to be the blood of the dragon. which is not to say all that came before her was meaningless since this recontextualisation is only possible through the three centuries of ancestral history weighing on her. and dany's very existence echoes back in time because the prophecy itself has influenced the lives of generations of targaryens. three hundred years of history, all the glory and the horror concentrated in this one person-point. the prince that was promised not simply as a figure of the long night but as someone who is the apotheosis of their house. dany as both their beginning and their end, because the iron throne is presently a symbol of stagnation, a world in stasis, and it has to go. no restoration, instead the old world dying in fire and a new world being born in the aftermath.

Itd be really funny if the demonic court saw binghe having so many demonic crow feather things (gifted by shen yuan) and thought he was going on a killing spree and binghe being offended since he’d never hurt his a-yuan

I also like to think that shen yuan spends a lot of time in his crow form. Just binghe making a massive dinner for a crow while the wives stare in in confusioned jealousy, shen yuan using binghes hair as a nest to nap in or standing on his shoulder when hes too lazy to fly. Maybe even joining him in the court (cant tell me shen yuan wouldnt find that interesting)

Oh, it'd be hilarious if Binghe starts wearing this crow demon jewellery, slowly building up every other week or so, and the demon court is just like "???" but nobody really wants to talk about it. One day, someone makes the awful decision to ask/congratulate/ass kiss about the "massacre" he has been committing on the crow demons, people chiming in about how irritating said demons were, and how the demon lord is doing them a great service by clearing out the population. Then a crow flies in through the window and perches upon the emperor's shoulder like it belongs there, rubbing its beak against Binghe's face in greeting. Binghe, on the other hand, has never looked more murderous in his life, his touch gentle as he scratches under the crow's chin. The demons quickly regret their attempts at getting onto Binghe's good side. Oh, Shen Yuan most definitely spends a lot of time in his crow form around the palace specifically. The idea of Binghe being in a meeting and everyone having to try and pretend that there isn't a crow making itself very comfortable in his curls, even using its beak to rearrange certain locks around it is so wholesome to me. On one occasion, it tugs a lock out of Binghe's face and the emperor has never in his life looked more affectionate as he follows the curl with his eyes, watching it slowly disappear from his sight. The wives definitely get jealous, the louder ones complaining only to be met with a harsh "Shen Yuan is my biggest priority". There's definitely going to be a scene where one of the wives or something are trying to kill the crow, following it into Binghe's chambers while the man himself is absent, only to find a handsome man preening his wings in there. They have no idea where the crow went.
