T and J's dynamic is perfect and wonderful and criminally underrated.

I offer as proof:

The way that John is absolutely delighted when he gets one up on Taylor, and how Taylor is So Completely Over him when he rubs it in her face. (This happens not once, but TWICE, if she says he's right deciding to leave the bus and then when they meet up at the police station.)

Just, Taylor's whole deal towards him. In all likelihood he's literally just one of many college professors in her life and she sees him for what, an hour or two a few times a week? And yet she's so invested in him being a leader and takes so personally that he doesn't measure up. Taylor, my sweet and sensitive bean whom I adore, do you treat all of your teachers like this? Or just the ones old enough to be your dad? Or just John? It's the residual trauma from past lives, we must protect her 💔

John's absolute panic when it's him helping Taylor with her demon before the factory (when Daniel is dead). Also, for good measure, him determinately clobbering assorted demons with giant boulders to protect her and her boyfriend. John and Taylor are a whole entire gold mine for real.

Tanya and James painting the tire swing together (because I'm taking that as a fact). 100% pure unadulterated wholesomeness.

Tanya being all lol when they're too noisy for James to sleep. She's not intimidated by him in the slightest and she shouldn't be.

As for Joseph and Tabitha ummm... my headcanon that the Miltons are hired hands living on the Lamberts' farm? Because we see so little interaction between the Miltons and the Lamberts which is very sad, but I need a way for the group to be close and I think the Milton kids could have used the Lamberts' support after Martha Milton (presumably their mother and only parent) was kidnapped.

So anyway I genuinely think the throughline from Tanya and James to Taylor and John can't be improved, it's just so good. The dad and daughter vibes are strong and I don't care what anyone says J and T are simply adorable and I love them together literally so much 💞

A morning on the way to Baldur's Gate. The party booked themselves into an inn and enjoyed real beds, hot baths, and privacy for the first time since the Nautiloid.

Gale and Mayhew shared a room, of course. They were filled with the relief of surviving the shadows and the glow of finally getting together, so their private room was probably a blessing for the whole party, honestly.

he gives elden ring a shot and surprise he gets fucking rolled. can’t get past tree sentinel, tries to fight Margit at level 15, put all his stats in intelligence and not enough dex, hasn’t even found a proper staff, picked warrior as his starting class.

he’s ready to uninstall but he paid full price for this game, he’s at least gonna defeat one boss goddammit. so he tries summoning players for aid and just his luck, he summons cooperator WolfChimeraWyvern.

and this cooperator is SO GOOD, he solos Margit without getting hit, and Kabru is just. in awe. so he adds him as a friend.

and that’s how he meets Laios, expert on all things fromsoft (has literally read every item description, knows the most obscure lore by heart, don’t ask him how many hours he’s played, he has all the platinums)
