if yord had lived he'd be leading the hunt for qimir and osha and we would've gotten the most delicious tension between him and qimir. qimir would start out frustrated that yord got away, intent on finishing what he started. and yord, once hunted, now hunter, once an exemplary jedi, and now solely focused on revenge disguised as righteous justice (which it is also a bit of that). and qimir starts to enjoy the game, the chase. and in this timeline, sol still dies, osha still goes with qimir, but yord was unconscious, recovering in a bacta tank, so all he knows when he wakes up is that qimir is out there and took osha, his friend, away. so then you also have the tension of that confrontation, the realization that osha has willingly turned, and that maybe yord can't blame her for that, because what has he been doing these past many months, years, maybe, but give in to the selfish desire to finish what he started too?

Life really came down on me with fifteen hammer but here's a my messy attempt at a Book Percy design with notes on stuff I want to explore with his appearance in future

I tried making him look like he's a mix of a goofy troublemaker and like he could beat you up. I know he isn't purposefully making trouble, but the way he's often described to look like he is really sticks out to me so hopefully I achieved some of that :)

Extra notes I forgot:

a scar that resembles Luke's under his eye

crooked nose from a fistfight at school or from getting smashed in the face during training (maybe from BoO??)

spotty beard coming in at all times. it cannot be contained no matter how hard he tries to keep it shaved and it looks bad when he tries growing it out lmao (I could've probably pushed that more but who cares)

An idea I'm also playing with is using a specific symbol representing the head councillors' godly parents with a lighter background? Idk but I think it'd be cool to have a little detail like that

Sometimes I imagine little Fionna meeting Prince Gumball and mistaking him for a human.

I mean, he looks a lot like a human (if he wasn't completely pink).

For you, what makes him different from a human, apart from the fact that he is a pink guy?

Well, first of all, the fact that he's made of candy and is alive and thriving despite not having bones or human internal organs. He can heal(?) his own wounds just by molding some gum around, and he has a really long lifespan, which makes him technically immortal, unless you throw him in acid or something. The way he was born and how he ages is different too. I think he would go through some changes like growing taller and losing baby teeth during childhood, but then his body stops changing at some point and his appearance remains the same from then on, so he has to make changes himself if he wants to.

He's always smelling like sugar too. Always. No amount of perfume can do that.

No joke, we need to end our addiction to tragic backstories if we're gonna ever get out of this individualism hellhole.

Once upon a time the only thing someone needed in their superhero origin story was how they got their powers- helping people with them was taken for granted, even once you got into eras of comics where heroes had personalities beyond their powers, theming, and catchphrases.

Hell, even Batman only has a tragic backstory to explain why a rich dude would want to help people (especially with his wealth being a punchline in the original comic), and Superman's endling status really is more powers explanation (and Moses allegory) than tragic backstory, in ways often joked about. Lots of later characters like Tim Drake and Wally West, their origin boils down to "idolized an existing hero and wanted to be like them, then got the opportunity/powers."

And honestly, it sucks that it's seemingly considered unrealistic or unbelievable that people would decide to just do good because they're uniquely able to.
