i've started the process of therapy recently after years of mental health issues and it terrifies me to open up to someone, but it got to a point in my life where i was so desperate that i reached out. even though it's scary as fuck.

Outside of workplace events, there's all those professional Conferences. Opera & Symphony & Ballet openings. Gallery openings & Museum events. Library & Bookstore readings. Charity Auctions and Community/Society functions. And, of course, the ever ubiquitous Conventions that usually have a selection of Proms to choose from!

Seriously, check out the schedule of your local convention center, community center, and arts centers. There's bound to be something that strikes your fancy!
