ART RAMBLES: as i mentioned on the tags of my last drawing this piece gave me SUCH a headache #i think it's probably cos it was just supposed to be a quick sketch so i used a more stable pencil brush #but then i really liked it so i decided to properly colour it instead of just doing the watercolour thing i usually do for sketches #but with finished pieces i like the lineart to be kinda messy and the sketch to even show through bit #and since i used the more stable brush for the sketch it ended up looking WAY too clean. not like my stuff at all.#so i just started throwing stuff at the wall to see what could make it more interesting. full background! actual lineart! texture layers!#and this here is what i was the happiest with. i don't... love it though. it should be looking way more interesting given the pose #and then i also did the purge girl halfway through this and it looked SO good right out of the bat (pun intended)#so i went a bit into a spiral. did some realistic stuff i'll post soon. and now am trying out a thick black lineart style.#(i'll definitely still use the coloured lines for the sketchy watercolour stuff though. it just looks way too cute)

Oh hey, how's it going?

I've mostly been keeping my own counsel and I think that's mostly been a good thing for me.

Apparently I'm bringing Winter with me to Kansas tomorrow. (I'm going to Kansas tomorrow.) I bought a scarf and a beanie at Target tonight. I'm not sure if I'm scarfing right, but it's warm? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

i cannot stand the aot fandom this is not a new take at all they are universally intolerable but oh my dayssss u are FORBIDDEN from making ANY take about the show it's actually insane to watch. 'aot is perfect' no show is perfect. 'tell me you didnt get the show 😂🫵' people have different opinions/interpretations about things. 'eren is a good guy they could never make me hate him' i think there's actually 4 seasons and two movies explicitely using him as a tool to show that no one is 'good' or 'evil' they are only trying to survive. hello. the fandom r all so far up aot's ass that they actually discredit its writing in the process and it would be laughable if it wasn't so frustrating

Happy birthday @jmrothwell!

Julie wasn't sure why a ghost themed coffee shop had become her favourite place to work on her thesis, but she had some ideas. For one it was walking distance from the tiny little apartment she shared with Flynn. For another, they had really cute snacks. They had really good coffee and they weren't judgemental if she ordered a 'what is sleep' with extra espresso shots.

But mostly, the reason she kept coming back was Reggie. Reggie, with his sunshine smile and his bad puns. Reggie, who always added some extra drizzle because he knew she liked her coffee extra sweet. Reggie, who flirted with her no matter if she was wearing her ridiculous smiley sweatshirt and a pair of jeans that had seen better days, or a cute dress. Reggie, who was always experimenting with new coffee art to see what would make her smile the most.

So maybe, after she finished her thesis (and slept for like 24 hours) she ordered a smaller coffee than usual and a 'whatever you're having, on my tab' right before she knew Reggie went on break.

The sunshine smile that came with her order was worth it. And so was Reggie's number in her phone.
