I can't describe how much I love Nandor. A warrior without any war other than the one in his head. A person with strong moral principles that values justice, bravery and devotion. A vampire that holds infinite time in his hands only to have no one to share it with. A powerful creature that would trade strength for weaknesses only to feel something. A kind soul that cares for others quietly and hides under unbothered facade. A dead heart that wanted to sleep for ages because reality was too unbearable. A broken heart that got shattered by someone very dear but remains tender to them.

Nandor is truly relentless because he always keeps his head up even when his thoughts or feelings weight him down.

Keigo is not materialistic.

He values a partner being down to earth, in that sense— not hyperfocused on any status or price tags or the supposed social credit that comes courtesy of dating a pro hero.

It makes sense that he'd be perfectly content with the bare necessities, and he's happy to have a partner who shares those same values.

...Until a point.

You telling him, "I don't need anything fancy! Don't worry about it, Kei." in reference to something you clearly, unconciously want is going to make him "worry about it."

He's not being contrarian, he swears; it's just that he felt his left eye twitch a little for some reason when you assured him so sweetly that you don't really buy yourself "nice things" like that. You said it with that stupid, godforsaken genuineness etched onto your pretty face; and it clicked something in him, irreparably.

Keigo is perfectly capable of providing for you, thank you very much. He's so good at it, trust him— he can provide for you, damn it.

He nods to himself, repeating that same phrase, laptop in hand, as he rummages through his desk drawer to find his old debit card that probably has a couple hundred thousand on it or whatever at this point. Hey, don't ask him. He never checked.

Don't be surprised when Keigo waltzes through the doorway a few days later with his feathers propping up packages of all sizes. He kicks the door closed behind him as he barges in, chirping, "Hey babe? You said you liked this website, but you didn't have a wishlist, so I got 'ya everything just in case! You don't mind, do you?"

Money means nothing to him; but you sure as hell do, and Keigo will use any resources necessary to ensure it gets through your thick skull how much you deserve to be treated like royalty.

i formally Apologize for toddlerblr posting but im watching s3 of the shaun the sheep series and im convinced that shaun has ptsd from the events of A Close Shave. before you come at me i KNOW im definitely reading too much into a kid's show but let me explain

in the episode Shaun The Fugitive, shaun sneaks into the farmer's kitchen to retrieve a ball and is distracted by a myriad of desserts. he tries to be sneaky, but other sheep notice and they demand for their share. soon, shaun makes a mess in the kitchen, he himself ends up covered in frosting...... just like how messy he became when he broke into wallace and gromit's kitchen in A Close Shave.

later in the episode he gets caught by the farmer and is scolded. then a stranger arrives and he chats with the farmer, who points at shaun (he's actually pointing at the truck behind shaun) and does a weird gesture with his hands that shaun misinterprets as strangling. shaun then pictures himself turned into a backpack, getting taxidermized, and becoming a rug.

so what does this have to do with the movie? in A Close Shave, shaun was one of the many sheep who were rustled, and his kidnappers intended to make him into canned meat.

meanwhile, for the entire episode of Shaun The Fugitive, shaun was convinced that his skin and wool would be preserved and used, which would require the removal of his innards. if we take this into account, then it's safe to assume that shaun also believed that he would become dog food.

+++ this is definitely a stretch, but the follow up episode Hard To Swallow shows shaun accidentally swallowing a duck whistle. with no other solution, the other sheep turned their barn into a surgical room so they could get the whistle out of him. upon seeing their tools, shaun runs away, in fear of being operated on ............

this could probably be chalked up to just shaun being afraid of getting cut open by the usually unreliable and not very bright flock, but i think it's funny how this happens Right After the episode about shaun thinking he's about to die.

in conclusion, shaun the sheep has not completely moved on from wallace and gromit + i am insane

Aak Tidbits from the LDA animated series for me specifically:
