I think you can make the argument that she is demisexual or Enidsexual too. She has zero interest in a love relationship as she thinks they are weak and make you depend on the other person. She doesn’t really see the point in one. She doesn’t even see the point in friends. Enid becomes her friend because she sees Wednesdays true character (good or bad) and wants to be her friend anyway. Then Wednesday wants to please Enid because she values Enid’s qualities and has experienced upset when Enid leaves. Although she wouldn’t admit it she admires Enid’s strength and wants to be like her in some way. She wants to get on Enid’s wavelength hence the R’aven date (which she could have totally refused to do) and the Tyler dates only cos she wants to do the same things as Enid.

It is so clear that she cares for Enid deeply - see the Gates Mansion mess and the subsequent pitfall from it. She realises she has done something an Addams should not do - take advantage of those who care for them - plus upset Enid and that nearly breaks her heart.

There are so many scenes where Wednesday LISTENS and takes note of what Enid says which she doesn’t do for anyone else. See the “it’s not your fault” speech from Enid on parents day.

I think there is a really big turning point in their relationship when Enid does the “I’m not going to apologise for who I am” speech after standing up to her parents. I think Wednesday has always seen that Enid is strong and clever (which no one else does cos they can’t see past the fluffy pink exterior) but that really cements things in her mind. She RESPECTS Enid and is so impressed with her. Personally I think that’s when she fell for Enid big time.

The point is that they SEE INSIDE each other in ways neither of them expected and in ways no one else does, and when it came to tough times they were there for each other.

The absolutely stone cold fact is that when Enid wolfs out to save Wednesday this proves the extremely strong bond and love she has for her. It’s twofold, the first bit Wednesday doesn’t even see - the running into the woods with no thought to her own safety and no back up - but her wolf has the bond too as it comes out for Wednesday to save her.

Any hope of Enjax is destroyed as Enid comes out of the woods. Ajax is seen only as a friend who comes to help her, no hug or kiss. She KNOWS she is bonded to Wednesday and doesn’t even care for her own decency, instead searches for Wednesday.

And then the hug. Oh my god. Wednesday, who recoils from her own family hugging her holds onto Enid for dear life.

It’s all so beautiful.

When Wednesday says

"I'm not you , mother. I will never fall in love or be a housewife or have a family" is not because she doesn't want to. She even looks sad saying that.

It's only because she thinks her mother wants her with a boy, specifically, and she was never ever ever attracted to any boys.

Because she's a lesbiaaaannnn!

And in this essay I will...

It's even canonized through the novelization that she only goes to the dates with boys because she thinks it's what Enid wants from her: talking about boys and dates.

If only she understands Enid will talk to her about anything and everything.
