Yeah, a lot of people tend to forget Rouge is just as strong as Knuckles. Keep in mind Knuckles is the strongest character of the main Sonic cast (he can lift/press up to 100-500 tons), which means Rouge is the strongest female character of the cast as a result. The main difference is that Rouge’s strength mostly lies in her legs as opposed to her arms, hence why she kicks instead of punching like Knuckles

They're charming and wholesome! The two little flying kiddos of the group. It's got that -childhood friends that mutually crush on each other for years before figuring it out later in life- vibe. Unfortunately taiream doesn't particularly grabs my interest but I'm never upset to see them pop up in fics or art either! Mainly I just like my ships having a healthy dose of conflicts and compromises in them and tailream just seem like they'd get along very easily. Overall good ship though! Just wish they'd let cream join in more adventures these days :(

So one of my favorite anime movies is Wolf Children and I can't tell you how tempting it was to make either Amy or Shadow being a single parent to Mars and Piko after the other one passed away/went missing suddenly and the only thing that kept me from doing that was that I couldn't decide which option I liked more.

Amy having to figure out raising her two superpowered alien kids without Shadow help and guidance. Piko getting sick from the excessive chaos energy and Amy having to figure out how to get him inhibitor rings.

Or Shadow doing his best to channel Amy's affectionate and comforting nature despite it not coming as naturally to him.

Neither ever ever imagined they'd have to figure out parenting on their own but they love their kids so they'll do it.

In today's episode of: people are too kind and sweet to me. My bestie in Singapore sent me these Sonic MTG cards set and protective sleeves to put them into 😭 And some coffee candy!! Im a wreck, I love them.

Amy x Surge

Thoughts on surgamy MY BELOVEDS!!!! It's my second favorite ship in the fandom and kind of a crime I haven't drawn them more... (The Shadamy brainrot too strong right now but don't worry, I have Ideas for some cute surgamy stuff down the line! Also some Surge - Amy - Shadow Love triangle because I CAN. No one can stop me.) If Shadow didn't exist.. I would probably be here obsessing over Surgamy so much more. The two ships have a lot in common, though surgamy is a little more high strung and exciting while Shadamy is often more mellow and quiet in comparison. It's monster energy drink vs black coffee to me. Both addicting.

Actually, Pink/Green is downright my all time favorite color combination so the two of them just visually- I like a lot more actually. It's my Cosmo & Wanda. Glinda & Elphaba, Kermit & Miss Piggy, Shezow & Shezap, those guys from the gay skateboarding show I haven't watched yet. etc etc Those colors are married in my brain and they are either fighting or kissing or both.

They do the same thing I love in Shadamy in that Amy knows how to get through to both of them while giving them the space to come to the decision on their own. And like, in general it's always a fun concept to have Sonic's rivals simping for the girl that's obsessed with him and they all got their own unique spin on the dynamic. (Met / amy fans, I am shaking hands with you all right now!)

Was so very happy to see them get to interact more in the comics and hope to see more of the two in the future!

Sonally?

Thoughts on Sonally

Well gotta give my props to the only girl that's managed to snatch Sonic up. Also the start of him having a thing with princess characters hehe.

I'm not particularly attached to the pairing myself but something about them still feels the most "classic" sonic ship though I'm pretty sure I like my idea of the relationship more than how it fully plays out in canon. I can very much enjoy the on&off relationship they got going on- but yeah it gets kinda melodramatic and I don't blame anyone who didn't care for it.

Kind of a shame they probably won't bring Sally back for modern sonic- outside of the odd crossover cameo if we're lucky. They gave her laser swords and it was very cool.

Uhh, the only other thought I have on them is that if I were ever to do a Sonic X Epic The Musical thing. Sonally is the most fitting to me as Odysseus and Penelope stand-ins. Amy is so much more fitting as Calypso. (Sorry, been binging the Epic Soundtrack again so it's on the mind)
