Yandere! Streamer x Streamer! Reader
A/N : I'm taking a break from the bullet point format and decided to try making a drabble instead. Huuge thanks to @bloozz for giving streamer his name🌷
T/W : Streamer reader, yandere behaviour, obsessive behaviour, etc
«────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ──────»
"Damnit..! I lost again" He let out a defeated sigh as he watches the 'GAME OVER' screen blinking at him in an almost mocking way.
The chat of his live stream went wild upon his fifth time losing on a game that he had been playing for hours by now and yet he still hasn't been able to beat it.
"Yeahhh, thanks a lot chat! those 'L's you're spamming are definitely helpful" Micha rolled his eyes at the countless mockery his viewer was sending him. He knew it was all jokes- or at least he hope it is.
Deciding that he needed a break from the game, he cracked open a can of soda and laid back against his chair, opting to interact more with his viewers.
He had only been streaming for a few months and had gained a pretty sizeable amount of viewer and fanbase.
Bloozzclues : You should check (insert your streamer name) out! They've beaten this game multiple time and have some useful tips you can use.
"(Y/S/Name)? I've heard of them before, saw a few of their speedruns. I never understand how they manage to get that luck based glitch to work! But thanks bloozz! i'll be sure to check them out after stream" Micha replied to one of the chat and moved on to the others.
Soupispretty :(Y/S/Name) is actually watching your stream rn lol
Micha choked on his drink as he tries to contain his coughs. He almost spat out the soda onto his keyboard and it would've been a nightmare to clean it up.
Scrolling through the main page of the streaming website on his other monitor, lo and behold, the (Y/S/Name) was indeed watching his stream. Specifically, the parts where he lose to the same boss every. single. time.
He felt his cheeks reddened everytime he heard (Name) laughed or giggled at him. They wouldn't just laugh at him though, they would also insert in some advices for him to improve on which made him incredibly jittery with excitement.
(Y/S/Name) also known as (Name) has always been an inspirational figure of his when he first started streaming. To be acknowledged by his idol causes him to be so overwhelmed, he almost fainted from how fast his heart is beating.
The chimes of his subscription's notif brought him back to his senses, Micha's chats were going crazy from the streamer's trance like reaction to (Y/S/Name) stream.
Kafkaismywife : is he okay??
Peachesandcrem : bro looks possessed💀
Collecting what little composure he has anymore, Micha decided to end the stream under the guises of him being exhausted.
"Ahem.. er sorry about that guys, i think the sleep deprivation is getting to me. So, thank you all for being in this stream but I have to log off now!" He smoothly blurted out, getting back into his streaming persona.
After saying goodbyes to his viewers, he clicked the end stream button. Alone with his thoughts, Micha switches the screen back onto your stream.
He knew from then on, his adoration for you had grown into something more. Something deadly and dangerous.
«────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ──────»
(Name) let out an exhausted sigh as they had just finished another successful stream. They played horror games for hours and ended the stream by reacting to random clips their viewer sent via mediashare.
"I should probably take a shower and take a long nap right after.." (Name) thought.
Ping!
It was the sound of their notifications, (Name) picked their phone up and clicked on it. They were directed to their twitter where the person had messages them.
Michatwt
Hey! Thanks a lot for the advice you gave me when you reacted to my live
"Oh it's that streamer i watched earlier on stream" (Name) spoke outloud as they quickly typed out a reply.
(Name)ishere
No prob! Thought you needed some tips to beat the game haha
(Name) sent out the reply and Micha replied immediately. 'He sure is a fast typer' they thought.
Michatwt
This might sounds odd but would you be down to make a collab with me? I think it'll be more fun if you teach me on stream
They paused for a moment, thinking over their decision. (Name) have been wanting to make a collab stream before but never got to it. This would be a great opportunity to produce some new content!
(Name)ishere
Sounds good! We'll discuss about this collab later, I got something to do right now
Michatwt
Of course! See you later haha
Somewhere else, Micha was jumping out of joy and practically on his knees thanking the higher beings for this opportunity he's been given to be close to his idol, his (Name).
«────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ──────»
A/N : ending on a cliffnote because this has been rotting in my draft.

Hi, Rosieee! I always take posts of Jikook sightings with a grain of salt, but I always notice how consistent their behaviour towards each other is. Like, it's not so farfetched to see how JK acts this way towards Jimin and vice versa. Throughout the years, multiple OPs who encountered them outside have described/shared Jikook's dynamics and are quite interesting to read about. And it's even more interesting when some of those sightings have been proved. I just know they had an amazing time traveling and doing stuff.
I don't want to be greedy, but if we get behind-the-scene eps like what we had with Bon Voyage or ITS, plus that ep 0 where we have their meeting before they started their actual activities, I'll be over the moon. And if Disney+ sprinkes in interviews with these two like what we had with Hobi and Suga from their shows, I'll be even more insufferable 😭
Oh, definitely. What we see in official content is exactly what others report seeing when they see them off the clock or in the wild, as I sometimes say. In fact, many have described their dynamic as even more intense than what we usually see. For example, there was a time when an ARMY said Jimin's expression softened when he looked at Jungkook, or when a person at a restaurant thought Jungkook was the older of the two because of how he cared for Jimin. And if we add to that what the other guys have said and what Jimin and Jungkook themselves have shared over the years, it makes sense. Honestly, we only have to remember how they behave in the airport in Malta.
Sometimes it's hard to believe these supposed sightings of the boys by fans for obvious reasons, but the funny thing is that when it comes to Jimin and Jungkook together, they're not hard to believe, as you say. The posts currently circulating on Twitter about someone in Japan who saw them and described how they behaved together are not hard to believe, even though there is no proof beyond their word.
It’s hard to imagine that they didn’t have the best time while filming the show. If they hadn’t, I don’t think they would have filmed in different locations. Honestly, I don’t think they would have even made the show in the first place.
One undeniable fact, although many definitely try to deny it all the time, is that Jimin and Jungkook enjoy spending time together. They can entertain themselves with small things and be happy with that. It’s no coincidence that in every BTS DVD, there are always a lot of clips of them laughing, playing, or just being together, and that’s because they like being together. We have often read that people who have worked with them have said that Jimin and Jungkook were always together or were always the last to leave, etc. This will be no different. Or perhaps the only difference is that it will be just the two of them.
I don’t have much faith that we’ll see behind-the-scenes footage like we have with other BTS variety shows, but it would be incredible if we did. Did Tae’s show with his friends have behind-the-scenes footage? I don’t remember.
I think BigHit would miss a great financial opportunity if they didn’t release a DVD of this show with a photobook included. The same goes for not releasing behind-the-scenes footage on Weverse, even if you have to pay to watch it.
It would be great and only fair if Disney+ gave this project the same promotional treatment as they did for Hobi and Yoongi’s projects. I think the BTS documentary in December had some of that, didn’t it? Again, I don’t remember. Sorry.

I saw someone else send in a sad Fuuta mother headcanon so I'll share mine!
Ok so, we know that Fuuta is 20, his mother left the family when he was really young/too young to properly remember her, him and his sister were left in their father's custody
Now the fact Fuuta and his sister were left to their father makes me feel like the mother must've had plans to date and remarry, since while there is a divorce stigma, if a person's young enough and doesn't have kids, its not actually That big a deal (kids are the biggest thing that often gets in the way of remarriage since not a lot of people are fond of the idea of raising children that aren't theirs biologically-)
Anyway, Another thing we know: Fuuta's victim was in middle school, which in Japan is ages 12-14 (probably 13-14 since 13's the minimum age to use twitter)
If we assume his mother left when Fuuta was 5 or younger, that gives his mother over a year to remarry and have a child with someone else (especially if she already had someone in mind when she left Fuuta's dad) And for that child to reach middle school age
Meaning there's a non-zero chance that the middle schooler Fuuta doxxed Could've been his half sister
NOOOO why would you do this to meeeeeee ;___;
That makes a ton of sense, though, that she would leave specifically for another man she had in mind. The thing is it wouldn’t even make a difference to Fuuta’s behavior -- and could actually have made him more motivated to harass her online 😭
Even if he spent his whole life avoiding/shunning his mother as mentioned on the other post, he’d put things together the minute he started looking into Killcheroy’s personal info in order to call her out. She probably did something small and harmful (nothing like the others’ unsanitary or sexual harassment cases), but his emotions flare up. He realizes his mother has started a new family and truly moved on from him. Although the thought is entirely subconscious, he’s incredibly jealous and angry at this girl for taking his mother away. So in his mind, she’s labeled a villain, as bad as all the others.
And he thinks, so what if it’s a little over the top? He has the right to call her out -- he’s her half-brother, after all! (He doesn’t tell anyone though, because that would bring up all the crap about his mother he doesn’t want to face.) He just goes after her and feels securely justified for it. Then, once he sees what happens…
Or, let’s just say he did go all that time without making the familial connection. He calls this random girl out for something small, and is haunted by her death. It makes that interrogation question a hundred times more painful, because the woman he’s looking to for comfort probably hates him for killing her daughter. Even if she didn’t know it was him, she wouldn’t be able to offer any sympathy if he did make it out of Milgram -- she’s grieving and he would realize the whole truth. If he is thrown back into his regular life post-Milgram, would his father want to reach out to the mourning woman? Would Fuuta have to look her in the eye? Would he go to the girl’s funeral?
Hm, and maybe that reveal happened when he was curled up, reading about the girl’s death online. Maybe he saw a picture of his mother on the news, or heard her voice in a clip, and got both nasty surprises at once.
#milgram#fuuta kajiyama#thank you and OW#getting hit with double the fuuta angst today 😭#that makes so much sense about the divorce....#man.#i cant tell if it hurts more if he knows before or finds out later#and lmao i didnt know how to word it but it just feels more justified to call someone out that youre related to compared to a stranger#theres no actually reason it would give him credibility but it feels like it you know?#thank you for the ask im gonna go cry about fuuta for the rest of the nighttttt#ask

EPISODE 5 THOUGHTS LETS GO
this series just keeps getting better and better istg
(also I think the only spoilers for non-book readers are at the very end so feel free to read)
the switch to annabeth seeing the fates after thinking percy might've died is INCREDIBLE, I love that change. the fates always seemed a bit out of place in the book so it's nice to see them actually add something to the plot
percy acts kinda different after climbing out of the river, which makes sense, but it's weird seeing him kinda happier and more hopeful
was i the only one who thought that percabeth hug kinda paralleled percy and sally's hug in the first episode? maybe it was just one of them being soaking wet and the other being dry
them hiding when ares comes by because they're hiding from the police is funny
also them popping their heads up to talk to him was adorable
"gimme a second, I'm starting a fight on twitter" CRYING
not too big of a fan of gabe's portrayal in this episode, i feel like they should've kept in how quickly he moved onto another woman to up his shittiness in a disney-safe way
that "i really-we really loved that car" was funny tho, and does make him a bit shittier, so I'll give him that. the fake crying could have been more clearly fake, but that's probably just me being bad at reading emotions
when i saw the clip of grover having to stay behind i didn't really like that change, but now watching the episode i really like it. i loved the grover-ares interaction this episode
i love the whole theme park being made by hephaestus, idk why there's something really cool about that
also i really wanna go there i don't even really like amusement parks but that place looked cool as hell
annabeth getting distracted by how cool the mechanics are she's so adorable i love her so much
the explanation of celestial bronze felt a bit random but they needed to include it somewhere so I'm fine with it
what did ares mean when he said protestor?? there were protestors at the solstice?? what does that mean??
grover hyping ares up and getting on his good side to get information out of him loved that
BABY DON'T HURT ME PLAYING ON THE TUNNEL OF LOVE PLSSS
the tunnel of love showing the story of hephaestus's life is so funny to me, like damn ares and aphrodite went on the ride showing the sad life of the guy aphrodite's cheating on??
like that ride was definitely made with revenge on aphrodite in mind that's funny
"she was trying to keep me away from you guys" that adds something to someone's character and i love that. sally recognizing how terrible the gods are and never wanting percy to have to deal with that
also percy looking to annabeth when he said that. like he knows that she's also a part of this awful cycle of abuse, which adds even more to her rejecting that cycle later in the episode
in terms of casting hephaestus is my second favorite of the olympians aside from dionysus, purely because i've loved his outfit from the moment we got that first picture of him, so this episode is exciting for me
including the chair hephaestus built for hera, idk why but i love that so much. could go into how the gods traumatized hephaestus but i think the episode implies that enough
"was [athena] always like that?" i was expecting them to go into how athena might have also been traumatized by zeus but nope it just turned into a shit-on-athena round, which was objectively better
"if she's so smart explain the owl" i loved this conversation it's so fuckin funny
"and i (no owl) am not?!" they're making me love ares fuck
i know there's a reason behind it, but the back-to-back episodes of percy supposedly dying and sacrificing himself for annabeth felt a bit much. i feel like there should've been a bit more room between those, but that's just my opinion (i don't really know what they could've done instead that'd be better)
I DIDN'T EVEN CATCH THE FIRST SEAWEED BRAIN MY FIRST WATCH WAIT HOLD UP
"this isn't the arch seaweed brain, you aren't pushing me into the stairwell again" "yes i am" STOP I LOVE THEM
"you're better at this than me. you just are" CRYING STOP
i can already imagine the edits those are gonna break me
percy getting incased in gold looked so damn cool it felt so mechanical
annabeth not even going for the shield and immediately trying to get percy out
ngl i was fully expecting annabeth to be able to do it, i didn't even doubt her getting him out herself, so i was kinda thrown off by hephaestus showing up
annabeth and hephaestus's whole conversation was just incredible
"maybe i was that way once. but i don't wanna be that way anymore. i won't be like all of you" i can see the edits
"some of us don't like being that way either" i just love hephaestus i love how this episode implies that some of the gods are victims of the cycle of abuse too
the inside of the zoo truck looks waayyy more cramped than i was imagining it all these years
spoilers for people who haven't read the book past this point
grover knowing who the thief is?? he can't know who it actually is, that'd spoil the entire plot-twist, but then who would it be?? luke and clarisse are literally the only named campers not on the quest so far, so unless ares claimed his own daughter stole the bolt, there's no one else that would be a satisfying red herring
i trust this show to not give away luke being the thief until the last episode, so now I'm just very curious what grover's gonna say
i loved this episode so much, my only concern is they haven't mentioned the whole "gods don't have DNA thing" yet, and considering that they really leaned into the family dynamic thing, it's a bit concerning
like please, for the sake of the new fans and their percanny or smartwater, please tell them percy and annabeth aren't really related it's starting to get weird

Jensen JIB13 Sunday Panel
Before he gets to the questions there is somebody celebrating their birthday so he gets the crowd to sing them happy birthday.
And he shares that he hadn't been able to sleep on the flight on the way to the con because during the flight when everybody was supposed to be sleeping there was one person awake, with the light on and hitting a prayer bowl. So, he only got to sleep for an hour or two before being woken up by the sound of the prayer bowl and he saw the flight attendant go over to the young lady to ask her to stop, and she stopped but then got up and flew running down the aisle, arms up in the air and he doesn't know if that was some sort of physical smudging, but he was so confused. He goes to the bathroom and when he's going back to his seat, he passes past her seat and sure enough there's the prayer bowl and the little mallet, and a notepad that had written in crazy scratch 'don't hurt me' with hurt circled and 'I am woman, I am god, god is woman woman woman woman woman'. He didn't go back to sleep after that worried he'd wake up to her hovering above him like in the House on Haunted Hill, that was in his head the rest of the night.
What new countries would he like to visist, and why?
He mentions Iceland, says he's always wanted to go there and has a friend who lives there who keeps telling him to visit. Also, New Zealand, same thing he hears it's amazing, he's never been there and has friends who live there like Karl Urban tell him to visit. When he mentions Karl the crowd reacts and says they're mad at him for cancelling his appearance and Jensen tells them he's fishing, to leave him alone 😆
But there's a lot of places, he loves to travel, and this world has a lot to offer. The fan is from Russia, and he says he'd love to go see Russia he's heard very good things from M. x
Would he ever consider doing audiobooks?
Yeah, he would definitely consider that; he does enjoy doing the voice over stuff it's probably something he got from his father who does a lot of voice work and has been for many years. He takes the opportunity to wish a happy Father's day, and says they were having a little toast in the green room; he does like the voice over stuff and yeah he'd be interested in audio books he thinks it'd be fun. x
Did he see that Anne Twist, Harry Style's mom, shared the clip where he talks about seeing Harry in concert?
He says, really? hey, Harry Styles mom can I get some tickets? hey Harry Styles mom, gorgeous thing you, how about some tickets to see your son? 😂
Somebody, years ago, gave him Harry's first solo album and they told him he'd like it and he didn't believe them then he listened to it and he secretly liked it for years but he didn't tell anybody, and now he doesn't care he thinks Harry's a talented dude who's got incredible showmanship, and he was not expecting to be as entertained as he was when he went to that concert. Which he'll be honest, it was his daughter and her friends who really wanted to see him but because he takes his kids to school everyday, in the car JJ likes to dj, so he has to listen to a lot of Harry, and Taylor, and knows more of those songs that he ever thought he would, and he doesn't hate them. He briefly tells the story about how Phil Collins In the Air Tonight came on and JJ wanted it to change it but he said no to wait for the drum solo and he ended up hurting his neck jamming along. x
Sort of update to this, Anne saw a clip of this moment and reacted to it on twitter!
On Friday during Drake Rodger's panel he shared the story of his chemistry read and said one time he was caught on camera drinking beer and he asked the fan to ask Jensen what his impression was of that moment
Jensen says that what happened was they were on Zoom, and he, D, Thompson, and the other producers turned their cameras off but Drake's was still on and he's still sitting there while they're on the phone having a discussion, and sure enough he drinks a beer and Jensen noticed and pointed it out and Thompson didn't think so but D also thought he was drinking, and Jensen said "he's hired, that's it he's my guy", that's how he remembers that moment. They all laughed, and then they got back on and he asked Drake if he was drinking and Drake denied it and held up his water bottle saying it's just water and Jensen was like 'yeah, and what about that bottle of Medalla you got right off screen?' and he got all nervous. That's how he remebers that moment and he never lets him forget it either.
He will say Drake picked up the baton very quickly in the messing with any and everyone, including him which he always thinks it's funny when Drake tries to prank him or mess with him. x
How does he feel during certain emotional moments in SPN like when Sam told Dean they were no longer brothers and wouldn't try to save him?
There's very little about the story of SPN that he ever disagreed with most of, he believes, what they did, what they experienced and what the characters said to each other were all part of a bigger story and so he never really got overly hung up on stuff like Sam saying that particular thing because he knew it would come back around in some way, shape, or form to be a positive. He tells- he calls it a fable but it's actually a parable that goes: a man and his son are working the land and the son breaks his leg, and all of the villagers come over and say 'oh im so sorry that your son broke his leg that must be awful' and the man replies 'might be awful, might be good, we'll see' that week the military comes by to recruit all the able bodied young men but his son had a broken leg so he couldn't go and now the villagers are saying 'oh my god it's so great that they didn't take your son' and the man once again says 'maybe, maybe not', and it keeps going and the point is you never know what might be good or what might be bad in any given situation. He just always had faith that it was going to be positive down the road, and he guesses you could be the person that always feels like it's going to be negative down the road but that's no fun so don't be that person. x
He reccomends looking up the parable, for anyone interested in doing so you can look up the parable of the Chinese farmer.
Has he heard Dean's French dubbing, and if not would he like to one day?
He has not heard the French dubbing of Dean but it would be interesting. He has heard a couple of different dubbings but he doesn't think he's heard the French one, he'll look it up. x
The fan shares the fun fact that the actor who dubs him as Dean also dubs him as Soldier Boy but the fan doesn't like him as Soldier Boy because they don't have a deep voice, and I guess it's too happy. Watch the clip it's so funny and Jensen also does Soldier Boy in a Mario voice 😂
He's a little charmer in French 💕
If he had the opportunity of directing a movie, what kind of movie would he direct?
Probably an action-adventure type of movie. Those are the kind of things that he likes doing in general as far as like an actor goes; he likes fast-paced upbeat adventurous type of stuff so something like that. x

Hi babi,
Happiest Birthday to you again. It’s been 8 years and I’m still fond of you. I hope you always well. I’ve been so happy to witness all your achievements in life. I had the chance to see you twice personally and the recent MysteryElevator still lingers in me. You look exactly how I thought of you, well more ethereal than ever. You look so.. so unreal. Most of the time while you are performing I can’t compose my thoughts that u are really right infront of me It feels like I’m just watching you on the big screen. Silly. My soft spoken voice struggle to shout your name as everyone in the crowd did the same. I sob in between some of your songs esp my fave ones. I can’t believe my eyes you’re glowing! Glowing infront of me .. of us..
I remember how stunned I was during our Hi-Bye session. I didn’t expect you’ll be that close.. I nearly can’t breathe. 😅 Got some heart and soul malfunction. 🤭🤣 I was mesmerized.. I wasn’t able to fell asleep no matter how tired I was after the show. I spent the rest of the evening wondering.. how can you be that handsome?! Hahahaha I also promised to myself that, that would be the last fancon of yours that I’ll go to. ‘Cause I just wanna move on with my life.. this life around me. I’m getting old and I find it hard to like someone else while I’m attracted to you. Hahaha It’s crazy. Im crazy.
For the past few weeks I avoided watching your clips that pops up everywhere.. literally in every social I have .. even random reels I was scrolling to in my dummy Insta I saw you! I restricted myself from checking notifs that includes news about you. I even unfollowed your official twitter account haha. I talk about it to some of my friends I requested them not to mention you anymore. ‘Cause they love to tease me using gifs of u or sending me clips about you. I’m still your fan but I have to detach myself in some way before it gets deeper than this. I don’t want my future husband be mad when he sees my diary full of dongmin. Haha.
Recently i bumped into twitter account handler “Kai” she’s the luckiest fan ever. She was able to attend most of your fanmeets and had several videocall with you. I was so happy for her. She even prepared a NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE AD with the largest single LED with the best resoultion! for your Birthday today! Like just wow! She really made everything so possible! She also prepares gifts and a manager of one of your fan projects. Incredible! 🤍💜
Then I realized.. for those long years that I became your fan, I wasn’t able to give you anything.. aside from flexing you on my socials, making you my cover photo since 2016 haha which I remove last 2022z Greeting you a Happiest Birthday in all of my socials.. Facebook, Insta, Twitter, etc. Supporting your songs, projects and dramas silently reposting them.. and just praying for your happiness and health.. that’s all I manage to do.. Don’t have the means to sent you food trucks like what Kim Domingo did.. or to show up in every fancon venue you have scheduled like Andrea. But one thing we all have in common.. that I’m sure of.. We all love you! 🥰
This might be my last post and greetings as I now focus in my own journey. But no matter what I’m still an aroha and eunwoo stan by heart. Thank you for being my inspiration all throughout my college years. Thank you for existing..
Happiest Birthday to you again, naesarang.
May you get all the best in life and please know that you deserve them all.
Yourstrully,
A.Lee
(Ps. As I am writing the last few sentences spotify that’s currently on shuffle playing some random playlist decided to play “STAY” from your Entity Album yes. And I almost chuckled. You’re growing so much on me, I’m scared haha. Next thing I knew I was giggling and turning red. You’re not even here! I’m sweating! Hahahahahaha)
Here are some of your recent pictures I truly love! Its not that obvious I love your long hair right? Haha!
And ops! I will definitely tell you once I had my Gabriel Dongmin hahahaha 🤭

Silver Talks AniManga (30/04/23)
there was no WSJ this week cause of golden week break but there was still some other stuff, like the new manga from the danberu duo or me catching up some anime
also starting from this week gonna have some background colours in the series list too, to make it easier to parse at a glance, but I'll include the meaning for them before it always
also I meant to watch a couple more anime (at least the first 3 eps) but got distracted with other stuff during the week. oops, I'll get to it tho, it's only a couple more
green - new series (anime in the first 3 eps count as new but silver those are more than the first 3 yeah but I meant to watch them before 4 came out let me live)
Anime
Uma Musume - Road to the Top Ep1 - 2
bruh. idk why these damn horse girls have such a grip on me but they do some places in s1 made me cry and this was wrenching my heart too which is fucked up cause I'm usually p unaffected by stuff anyway, this is a special ONA that'll be just 4 episode, you can even watch it all on uma musume's youtube WITH english subs even it looks great, since it's cygames own studio, the music's great, the voice acting is great, all the quality you'd expect from one of the top grossing gachas in the world (despite being jp only) the thing that surprised me the most was how good the character acting is tho, ofc uma musume has always had the little details with tails and ears but sheesh also I'm loving to see ayabe and my prince opera in action, some horses I've really come to like a lot in recent years cause of twitter
Uma Musume - Road to the Top Ep3
oh tehe I didn't realize ep 3 was gonna fall in this week's post too, putting it separately like this instead of 1-3 to not disrupt the thoughts from when I watched those, anyway good ep, had me tearing up AGAIN (damn horses..), it pains me to see ayabe suffering so much :( but I was looking up stuff about the main trio after the other 2 eps and saw Real Horse Lore so I know what's gonna happen in the finale already lol, it'll still be good tho
Megumin Ep1 - 4
let me start off by saying I'm never watched konosuba cause of aqua, kazuma and darkness, however I do like megumin. watching this since I know I wouldn't need to watch it to know anything (tho if you spent any time on tumblr back when it first came out you've seen it all through gifs and caps and clips like me so..) but anyway
it's alright, the only good animation moment was at the start of ep 1 with, of course, the explosion but I shouldn't have expected much considering what I know, oh well. however, takarie (megumin) and toyosaki aki (yunyun) really carry it with their performances, tho mostly takarie cause of how megumin in lol
not really much to say other than that so far, if you like megumin then it's a must watch show but you already knew that if you do. she should be using her first explosion next ep (5) so that should be cool
Imas CG: U149 Ep1 - 4
TL;DR: if you weren't gonna watch U149 cause "it's just for kids" you're wrong, and if you like the previous im@s anime do yourself a favour and watch it cause it's incredibly good too. I'll be honest I wasn't too sure about U149 at first, since it's the kids from CG I thought it was gonna be, well, aimed to kids as a way to bring them in into the franchise but I was very wrong! The show is incredibly good. It follows the same structure as the original im@s anime of having and episode dedicated to each of the cast members (completed with their character song as the ed) and it can actually be serious. Like in ep 3, miria is live streaming with satou shin and she gets some hate messages in the chat and it's a very tense scene. they even did this cool trick where the noticeably muted the colours during that scene to give it an heavier atmosphere it was so good man. Also I love all the cameos of other cg girls, the direct and background easter egg ones too. Also because I played the game hearing the insert songs and eds just got me going like that leo pointing me lol. Anyway I'm start to ramble too much but, please understand, I love idols. A lot. One final thing I'll say however is: it was very funny going directly from megumin into this and seeing the difference in quality; Megumin has the bare minimum of animation (cause kadokawa) but you can really see the passion behind U149, all the characters got little details and you can see their personality with how they move and interact with each other.
Mashle Ep4
still nothing crazy animation but we did get the lance fight and the first muscle magic moment, and it actually didn't look half bad which gives me hope for fights later on but we'll see how it turns out
Pokemon Horizons Ep4
nice ep, mostly an introduction to roy the other protag, he isn't nearly as annoying as he could be so that's good, there was also a buncha good expressions so that's fun
Jigokuraku Ep5
nice episode, mostly exposition and set up so some people aren't gonna like it, but it happens every now and then in the breaks between action. also they really made takarie say chinpo noooo
Manga
ST✰R: Strike it Rich Ch 0 - 1
new manga by the duo behind danberu, yabako and maam, it's probably gonna be set in the kengan universe since it's yabako writing it but we'll see. anyway like it said in the post I made before, it's about a underground fighting ring for women, it came out with a prologue chap and the 1st one, setting up all the characters and all that, the art is a lot more brutal than I expected since I just see danberu as ripped cute girl fanservice but shoulda kown better not really much else to say, chap 1 ended with a big cliffhanger, I wish it was a bit longer, hina down here seems interesting enough tho so we'll see how it goes, gonna be rough remembering to read it tho since it's biweekly
Dandadan Ch103
nice and emotional chap, should only have 1 or 2 more left of vamola's backstory now
Saihate Quartet Ch10
not much to say, tho it's nice that luci's already shown up to the cast according to my buddy mega it's not doing great in terms of views, so it's very likely to get canceled/end soon so that's a rip
Kaiju 8 Ch85
the first 1v1 fight to end, they didn't have to go full yaiba at the end there but it was still good. next up is cap narumi so that should be good too tho the one I'm looking forward to the most is hoshina's
Shuumatsu no Valkyrie Ch77
aww I was hoping they'd say who the next fight was gonna be but they didn't, didn't expect to see siegfried tho but since he's been established now there's no way he's not gonna do something later
Jiangshi X Ch14
thought this was gonna be the classic "mc awakens to a power they didn't know they had when in danger" but it was just the amulet his dad gave him (? afaik), also I think the art looked off this week? but might be just me
Spy x Family Ch79
nice yor centric chap, been a while, tho her harpie coworkers were annoying me with their jealousness
Ayakashi Triangle Ch128
ah yes the classic aquarium date, expecting a lot of shenanigans next week since everyone's following them
#horses and idols my beloveds :)#silver talks animanga#'silver today isn't the 30th what the hell' shhh I know but it had to be this way shh

What are your expectations for tarlos next season? Do you think Carlos big secret will cause a big fight between them or just Tk to become worried about him?
Wow I'm so excited for next season! I think its going to be absolutely incredible. I laid out some of my thoughts about this earlier yesterday, after I saw a clipping from an article on twitter someone had shared. You can read those here if you haven't. I don't really think there will be a fight between the two of them, at least not like what we've already seen. I think the boys are very much into their stage where nothing really can cause them to get into a blowout argument (a-la the farmer's market "friend from work" debacle). That being said, I definitely do think that there might be a little tension between the two of them. I think whatever the secret is might make TK feel self conscious or something which will be complimented with Carlos trying to reassure him (hence some of the pictures where it looks like Carlos is doing just that). I do also think that a large portion of the tension could be based off of something that Carlos is going to do that is dangerous. We already know that his life is going to be in danger when he investigates the disappearance of someone close to him. I could see Carlos' secret being something that ties him into this really intense investigation that Carlos feels he is ready for, and one that makes TK really worried for him.
I'm a sucker for anxious TK being comforted by Carlos so I think those scenes would be so freakin' good! Thanks for this question it was super interesting to ruminate on. What do you think? What are your expectations for Tarlos?

Saw this cover today & thought it would fit in that retro Elvis Barbie concert…lol… that kinda would be cool actually (twitter.)com/NHDNMedia/status/1624094372898779164 (movin925.)com/until-i-found-you-stephen-sanchez-explains-why-his-hit-feels-like-its-from-another-time/
"retro Elvis Barbie concert" is now a phrase that has been added to my bloglore repertoire, i'm obsessed i love it sm
the thrill i got opening this and it being a video of NIALL! it's so much fun when i haven't checked twitter yet and get the updates this way instead 😄 niall 100% needs to be on the retro EP concert performers list, and the thing is,most people would probably tag him to play a ballad (like this, which is very pretty!), but given how great niall is at absolute banger songs, he could do one of the rock and roll numbers so well. (or both. both is good). *puffs imaginary cigar* get me hollywood on line 2, get me producers at nbc, we need to make this show happen.
i've heard clips of this song, i want to say in a commercial?, but hadn't heard it by itself or anything about the artist, i can't believe he's only 19!
“Those African-American groups like The Platters and The Ink Spots...I mean, they gave so much soul and heart into their music…the way that they sang about love was just so incredible.”
“That was something that I always gravitated towards because it was such a deep understanding and such a passion behind their words,” Stephen says of those groups, both of whom are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He explains, “Whether they wrote the song or not, they made it seem like they were living these incredibly simple, yet somehow timeless and profound moments that we’ve all experienced universally or have yet to.”
In fact, Stephen says the music those groups recorded didn’t just impact his songwriting: It changed his entire personality.
“It’s made me a more emotional person; it’s made me a more romantic person,” he notes. “And I think that I would be less of that person without that music and less of a romantic songwriter without that music.”
And Stephen’s glad that despite its old-timey sound, his song is popular with people his own age.
“It’s really cool to see this generation, like, really connect to that song that feels like it’s from another time, he says, adding, “It’s really, really special.”
everything about this is lovely. the part about it making him a more romantic writer! yessss. steep yourself in vintage romanticism <333
something that is interesting to me is that idea of everything old being new again - for teenagers right now, those "old timey," as he called them, songs and sonic influences are so removed from most of the music they're accustomed to that i can easily imagine the sound of that music captivating them, because it is different, and if you've never heard something, it's fresh to you, even if it's decades old. someone will always be experiencing that for the first time, and discovering it anew keeps it alive.
#any mention of the ink spots makes me think of bcs...address unknown not even a trace of you...#niall being more active the sun is shining the sky is clear#anonymous#letterbox#music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent

Some thoughts about Joe Lycett and David Beckham:
- I can’t say whether I would have been fooled by the initial video of him shredding money, because I didn’t know it happened until the new Got Your Back episode aired last week and summarized it all for me. A few things I’d seen around Tumblr made me vaguely aware that Joe Lycett was doing something to take on David Beckham, but Joe Lycett is always taking on someone about something, and I generally don’t bother to look into the details as it’s happening because I know if I wait a bit, he’ll tell me all about it on Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back (with some exceptions, I was all over the “incredibly right-wing” interview because that clip was hilarious). I’d probably have got more into following it if I’d actually known what he was doing, but I only saw a couple of vague references to it on Tumblr, and that was it. I guess it mainly played out via Twitter and tabloids, two things I don’t read.
- Obviously it’s not 100% altruism. Obviously every bit of attention he drew to David Beckham and homophobia in Quatar he always drew to himself. Obviously he’s built a career on getting attention via stunts like this, the fact that stunts like this bring him attention is the reason he’s so rich and successful, and keeping that up is why he did this one. But I don’t think a parallel effect that benefits him has to negate any actual good he did.
- He objectively did some amount of good because money got donated to charity. Whether the stunt did any good is up for debate, I’d say it probably did more than nothing but not that much, but even if you think it did nothing, it didn’t do harm and money got donated to a charity. The whole thing’s a net positive.
- Doing a couple of small-time gigs in Quatar for small amounts of money, as a then-relatively-small-time comedian, is obviously very very different from using your worldwide fame to tell the entire world how great this country is, knowing you’ll reach a massive international audience, in exchange for huge sums of money. Obviously. Those two things are so incredibly different that even bringing up the former is completely disingenuous.
- I’ve seen an argument (because once I actually watched the Got Your Back episode and caught up on the news, I did get into looking up what people online are saying about it, hence this post) that it’s a pity the attention was on whether Joe Lycett shredded a lot of money, rather than on horrifying human rights abuses in Quatar. That’s a good point, but that’s the fault of the tabloids that covered it, not of the stunt itself.
You can say, “Well if Joe Lycett had been less interested in the selfishly attention-grabbing stunt, he could have just talked about the issue to keep the focus on that, and donated the money without bringing shredding into it.” Yeah, he could have. Could have called up someone who works for some paper and said he has some shit to say about David Beckham, and maybe he’d have got a little interview that goes on the back page of something and no one reads it. Then attention isn’t on the issue that matters, because attention isn’t on this at all. The shredding stunt was necessary to bring lots of attention to the whole thing, too much on stuff that didn’t matter but also some on stuff that did matter, and that’s better than nothing. I can’t think of a way he could have got similar levels of attention for the issue without also doing something that would muddy the focus. You just have to hope it balances out, I guess.
- Do I think it did any good in terms of raising awareness? Well, given that I didn’t even know it happened until very recently because I don’t use Twitter or read tabloids, I’m not the best person to judge whether someone has successfully shifted public opinion. I’m guessing he probably didn’t accomplish a whole lot, I don’t think he’s ruined Beckham’s reputation or anything. But if there actually are any people out there who watched David Beckham’s weird advertisements for Quatar and just uncritically thought “Oh, that looks like a good place, look how cool David Beckham is for being there,” then would guess those are probably the sort of people who read tabloids, and Joe Lycett made sure they saw another side to it. I’m sure lots of them saw that side and said, “Fuck that virtue signalling SJW” or whatever, but a few might have said, “Oh shit, I hadn’t considered that side of things.”
I don’t know. Maybe. Like I said, I’m not exactly in tune with general public opinion. But I know I have seen a huge amount of coverage about the many, many horrifying problems with the World Cup in Quatar, and I’ve seen some people talk about how it’s fucked up that David Beckham promoted that. But I’ve see all that stuff because I am a virtue signalling SJW who follows news sources (and, you know, British topical comedy programs) that say things like that. There are other people who get their news from other sources, and consequently might not have heard so much about why this is a problem. Joe Lycett throwing this information into their news sources seems like a useful thing.
- There’s an argument that there are bigger villains than David Beckham in this, and he picked an easier target than the actual people who perpetrate human right’s abuses. Which is true, but what was he supposed to do? Sorry Joe Lycett didn’t bring down the entire Quatari government, but Joe Lycett picked a target that was within his reach – maybe at the edge of that reach, but it was there. The Quataris won’t give one fuck what Joe Lycett says about them, but David Beckham has to now, at least a bit. Enough for his people to craft a statement in reply. David Beckham makes a very good living off being a professional celebrity, and if the people who maintain his celebrity, the British public, are suddenly talking a lot about something I’m sure Beckham wishes they’d gloss over, he’s going to have to care a bit. I’d say taking on a lesser target, one of the many tiny cogs that support the larger evil, and actually managing to graze that target – that’s a hell of a lot more impressive than what I’ve done, which is nothing. Than what most people have done, which is nothing.
- On the fake shredding thing, that whole story kept making me think of that thing Cards Against Humanity did years ago, which was hilarious. They dug a massive hole and said they’d keep digging as long as people donated money. The hole was for nothing, and they announced that the money would go to nothing, they were just doing it for the hell of it (it was right after Trump got elected, some sort of statement about the pointlessness of everything). Obviously, my thought when I first read about that was that it was very funny and a good idea, but in those dark fucking times, was hard for me to get on board with the idea of accumulating lots of money and not doing good with it. Then I read their FAQ about the stunt, and one of the things it said was:
Q: Why aren't you giving all this money to charity?
A: Why aren't YOU giving all this money to charity? It’s your money.
And I had to admit they had a point. They 100% had a point. If someone sends them money for the hole, how can that person get mad if they don’t donate it to charity, when that person could have donated it in the first place? I think Cards Against Humanity did actually end up doing something good with the money, just like Joe Lycett did. But in both cases, I thought it was a fair point well made.
- As a final point… okay, I’m usually an appropriate level of cynical about people who get emotional on TV shows. I don’t even think you can call it “cynical” to understand that emotions on TV aren’t real, any more than not believing in Santa Claus is cynical. It’s just basic awareness of how television works.
Having said that, last week’s episode of Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back actually got to me a bit. I know it was planned for the narrative and everything, I know the stunt ultimately served Lycett’s career as much as it did anything else, but I think this time, I do actually believe the television person when he says this means something to him.
Joe Lycett got emotional a few times during the episode, talking about how much David Beckham’s public support for gay people had meant to him back in 2002, when public support for gay people was much lower than it is now in Britain, and celebrities risked backlash by expressing that. I’m two years younger than Joe Lycett, so was a queer teenager at around the same time he was. I’ve written before on this blog about how it was sort of an in-between time for a queer coming of age in my relatively liberal part of a Western democracy. I cannot begin to relate to the struggles of people who came out in the AIDS crisis era or earlier, and faced discrimination that I was lucky enough to never see (and by “lucky”, I mean a huge number of people fought and sometimes literally died to make that happen). But also, the world has changed a hell of a lot since I was a teenager, and I dealt with a lot of discrimination and related self-hatred that isn’t nearly as prevalent now (in my relatively liberal part of a Western democracy – that of course doesn’t hold true everywhere, which is basis for this whole situation).
I don’t know what it was like for Joe Lycett, but I remember what it was like to feel like the only queer person in the world, to be terrified to admit it to myself and unwilling to even imagine telling anyone else that I was that weird other thing that we normally only hear about as a political football or the punchline to a joke or the victim of a tragedy. I collected every bit of representation that was out there, because it did mean a lot to have examples of gays being anything good. In fiction, I had Buffy and poor quality bootlegs of The L Word. In reality, I kept track of all the gay public figures, using them as examples, even just in my own mind, that it could be okay. Even public figures that were straight but expressed public support helped me to feel better about things. It meant that not everyone saw us the same way as the kids in my class who used “gay” as their favourite insult.
So I am projecting here; like I said I have no idea what it was like for Joe Lycett. But he briefly described a teenage experience that overlapped with mine at least a little bit, of seeing David Beckham appear on a gay magazine and being relieved at the support from someone who was so venerated by mainstream society. Given everything I have to project onto that, I did feel something when Joe Lycett shredded the cover of Attitude magazine, while discussing how betrayed he felt by the guy who’d once meant so much to him.
The closing monologue to last week’s Got Your Back episode was fairly bleak. Joe Lycett acknowledged that nothing really came of his stunt, they didn’t get more from David Beckham than a prepared statement, and obviously stirring up Twitter drama has not improved any of the horrifying conditions for victims. His voice wavered just a bit during that monologue, a small enough change so I don’t think getting emotional for the cameras was in that part of the script. I think he genuinely felt upset about the futility of his best efforts, and yeah, that got to me. The Christmas special of a Channel 4 talk show about social media stunts got to to me, okay? I mean, I wasn’t in tears or anything, this isn’t It’s a Wonderful Life. But it got me a bit emotional.
It’s a good episode, is all I’m saying. If you have any interest in Joe Lycett or just in the sort of thing he does - and if you’ve bothered to read this whole post, then I assume you do - then you should watch that episode if you haven’t already.

okay the new anime season is already in full swing, so I gotta get my thoughts out on the last season. because I have once again watched Way Too Much Anime.
same as before, we chose what to watch mostly based on which PV trailers looked interesting before the season aired. now I'm gonna yap about all 17 shows for way too long.
✨obligatory disclaimer that this is Just My Opinion, Man. if I say something mean about your favorite show, please don't take it personally!
everything we watched, in alphabetical order: Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Bye Bye Earth, Dahlia in Bloom, The Elusive Samurai, Isekai Suicide Squad, Magical Girl and Evil Lieutenant Used to be Enemies, Mayonaka Punch, Oshi no Ko S2, Quality Assurance in Another World, Senpai is an Otokonoko, Shikanoko, Shoushimin, Tasuuketsu, Too Many Losing Heroines, Tower of God S2, VTuber Legend, Wistoria: Wand and Sword
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian - 1 episode, dropped funny that this one is first alphabetically, cuz I only watched one ep with a group of friends, mostly just to clown on it. I swear there's at least six anime exactly like this one every season: hot girl randomly takes an interest in the most boring man on the planet. Boring Guy is Boring. there's probably a weird little sister involved. but the girl is Russian in this one, because that's easier to write than actually giving anyone a personality. fucking snore dude
Bye Bye, Earth - 8 episodes, dropped this show is… weird. the worldbuilding feels incredibly dense, but also not very well explained. it felt like they were introducing new concepts and Proper Nouns every other sentence. I fully believe that this all makes sense to the original creator -- like I'm sure they have a 400 page Lore Bible with all the deep rules of their world, because it all feels very intricate. unfortunately I don't have that lore bible, so I found it really hard to follow.
that said, I think I like it? kinda? the animation style is kinda ugly, but for the most part I like the character designs. I think it's great to see a female lead in a show like this, and I really like what I've seen of the MC and her motivations. there's some really interesting fantasy ideas -- like the way people "grow" their weapons as an extension of themselves, MC's curse that her sword can't cut living things, this society that revolves so heavily around music -- but all of it together just becomes a confusing jumble.
it's not bad, but not good enough for me to finish this season :/
Dahlia in Bloom - 6 episodes, on hold this is honestly one of the more refreshing romance anime I've seen in a long time. It's a little slow moving and not very action-packed, but I love how well Dahlia is established as Her Own Person before the main love interest is even introduced. My girl has a career! hobbies! a friend group that stands by her while she goes through a messy break-up! it's so easy to root for her, and early episodes of this anime truly had me screaming "GIRLLLLL DUMP HIM YOU CAN DO BETTERRRRR" at my TV (in a good way)
and her main romantic interest is really good too! he has a personality beyond just being a perfect hot romance boy! the two of them have great chemistry! they act like adults and have a believable slow-burn starting as friends! idk it's kind of wild how realistic the romance in this show feels, despite being set in a fantasy world.
unfortunately this show did get put on the back-burner while we were watching a bunch of other things, but I'd really like to return to it sometime. I wanna see Dahlia thrive in her career and personal life!
The Elusive Samurai - 7 episodes, dropped okay, guys. you guys. listen. I really wanted to like this show, okay. I watched the previews and was like holy shit, CloverWorks has done it again. if this is as good as Wind Breaker, maybe I can finally forgive them for what happened to Promised Neverland. I saw the clips on twitter from episode 1 and thought this could be the big standout of the season.
but, uh. it's not. at least, not for me.
the tone of this show is extremely inconsistent. it flips wildly between wacky gag-manga comedy, and dead fucking serious horrors-of-war. sometimes multiple times in the same episode! add that to the break-neck pacing (in the first few episodes especially) and it left me with emotional whiplash. like, okay -- the more dramatic, gritty grimdark stuff I rather enjoy. the scene where the villain obliterates a whole battalion single-handedly, and then gets swarmed by adoring fans while the one survivor tries in vain to tell them what a monster he is -- that shit gave me chills. it's some incredible visual storytelling. but then the show inevitably cuts back to the weirdo priest doing some weirdo shit with the kids and I'm annoyed again. eventually I just got tired of it.
absolutely banger OP and ED though. probably my favorite ED of the season, and second-favorite OP.
Isekai Suicide Squad - 5 episodes, dropped boy, this one sure does do what it says on the tin. this sure is an anime about Suicide Squad -- yes, the DC comic book characters -- getting transported to another world.
honestly I was really enjoying it, at first. it's not doing anything particularly new, but these versions of the characters are fun and the animation was good enough to carry the story. and like, I'll say it -- anime Harley Quinn is pretty hot. I'm a lesbian with eyeballs, I can admit that.
unfortunately the animation takes a nosedive suddenly right around the point where I dropped off. the fight with the dragon is REALLY rough, like almost unwatchably bad. and when the animation is that bad, I stop to wonder what we're even doing here. they're taking a huge detour from the main plot to randomly fight a dragon, and it doesn't even look good. I don't know if the animation gets better again after that, but I decided there were better things to watch this season /shrug
pretty good OP and ED, though. I like the really stylized animation in the OP, and the ED is a decent bop.
The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies - 2 episodes, dropped this one looked cute, but mostly I wanted to take a look because it's made by Bones. and it is pretty cute, but for such a prestigious animation studio, it didn't exactly blow my tits off. after two episodes, I really felt like I'd seen most of what this anime would have to offer. the guy is "evil" but has a soft spot for one girl, the magical girl is cute, he gets flustered when she does cute stuff. it's fine, but nothing to write home about.
the episodes are real short though -- about half as long as an average anime episode -- so it's not a huge time sink. who knows, I might pick it up again sometime if I want something fluffy.
Mayonaka Punch - 12 episodes, completed alright, now THIS show is the absolute underrated gem of this season. it's fun, it's funny, and it's even a little bit gay! the cast are the best kind of likeable assholes, and they had me laughing out loud multiple times an episode. the more emotional/dramatic parts are pretty well done in my opinion too. particularly the way the show depicts Masaki being haunted by nasty comments online feels very "real", without being too much of a huge bummer.
genuinely, Mayonaka Punch is just a great time. I never felt bored watching this, and I'd gladly watch another season if PA Works decide to continue the story! but even if they don't, I think this has a pretty satisfying conclusion. it's nice to enjoy a good 12 episodes that wraps itself up neatly at the end.
also my absolute FAVORITE OP of the season. I'm a sucker for OPs that are sung by the cast, it's super catchy, and the animation is great. all the references to actual viral videos and trends are funny without feeling forced or cringe -- jumping on viral video trends is what the whole show is about, after all!
Quality Assurance in Another World - 3 episodes, dropped man, I honestly don't have much to say about this show. the broad concept is kinda interesting (QA testers working on a full-dive VR game get trapped in the world of the game SAO-style) and the art style is kinda unique. it just didn't really hold my attention, unfortunately. my wife watched a few episodes past the point where I stopped and she said it kinda popped off a little later but ehhh. someone might really enjoy this one, but it's just not for me.
Senpai is an Otokonoko - 7 episodes, on hold so this anime was made for my wife specifically. she's read the whole comic (I think it's a webtoon?) and adores it, so she was beyond hyped for the anime adaptation. and it's honestly really well done! I think the way it uses chibi characters for comedy (and to save on animation lol) is really cute. the characters and drama are pretty well written, and I really like that the two "rivals" in the love triangle are actually friends with each other.
the only thing is that parts of the story/drama are kiiiind of heavy. my wife is a trans woman and relates very strongly to the main character, so it's a hard watch for her sometimes. even though she's read the comic and knows what happens, she's said she really needs to be in the right headspace to watch this one. there's nothing egregiously bad though, omg -- the worst I've seen so far is the MC's mom being really transphobic and them trying to go back into the closet because of it 😬 so definitely a trigger warning for that
but yeah, really like this one, we're just watching it pretty slowly so I haven't finished it yet.
Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (My Deer Friend Nokotan) - 2 episodes, dropped hoooo boy. the big meme show of the season. I feel like anyone who follows seasonal anime has probably heard of this one, at least. I saw the OP going around a lot, and I'll admit, it's an earworm.
maybe this is a controversial opinion, but ya'll, I did not care for the actual show at all. I went into it with pretty high hopes, granted, since people were hyping up how funny the manga is. In two episodes I think I actually laughed maaaaybe once? I dunno, the hyper-realistic CGI deer are pretty good the first few times you see them, but boy does the gag get old fast. even the scene where deer-girl busts through the wall of the classroom only got a little snort out of me. and then that joke completely overstays its welcome by going on for like two full minutes of gratuitous slow-mo.
really all I can say is: not funny, didn't laugh! Mayonaka Punch is way more fun, watch that instead.
Shoushimin - 6 episodes, on hold first of all, this anime is fucking gorgeous. truly every frame a painting. I've seen people talk about "cinematic" anime this season, and Shoushimin really embodies that. the characters, the environments, the framing, the lighting, ugh. I wish I could eat all of the lovingly-rendered pastries in this show.
animation aside, this is a veeeeery slow-paced kind of slice-of-life. it's all about small, mundane mysteries, so I can definitely see people finding it boring. my wife decided after about 4 episodes that she just doesn't have the attention span for this. I mostly like it though; it makes me think of a more chill version of the fake manga the MCs write in Bakuman. that said, I need to be in the right mood for something this slow, so I've been watching it on and off.
also shoutout to the OP because I am an Eve fan first and a person second
Tasuuketsu: Fate of the Majority - 2 episodes, dropped I would have completely forgotten about this show, if crunchyroll didn't keep trying to get us to watch the next episode. it's an extremely generic death-game show with pretty stupid rules imo. frankly I would have dropped it after one ep, but there's a cliffhanger at the end of ep 1 that was intriguing enough to convince me to watch a second. they completely undo that cliffhanger in episode 2 though. boooo 👎
best thing I can say about this show is that there's a plot-relevant kick to the balls. no I will not elaborate on that.
Too Many Losing Heroines - 12 episodes, completed man, okay. so from the PVs before the season started, I thought this one was an easy skip. I don't care for harem shows, and this looked like just another boring light-novel romance. no amount of pretty "cinematic" animation was going to get me interested in flat, annoying characters that I've seen a hundred times. we were literally late to start watching it, and only picked it up toward the end of the season because people would not stop talking about it.
so take into account that I am very biased against this entire genre when I look you dead in the eye and tell you: this show is kind of incredible? like don't get me wrong, it's not exactly re-inventing the wheel here, and there's some fanservice moments that made me roll my eyes. but overall, this has some of the best character writing and drama out of everything we watched this season. the girls are genuinely a lot of fun, and their friendships are very believable. even the stuttering shy girl, which is usually an archetype I find super annoying, managed to win me over in the end.
the male MC is probably the weakest part of the show to me, but he still has more going for him than most guys in this genre. I like that his story is more concerned with him learning to be platonic friends with people, rather than just trying to push him into romance with all the girls. even if he ends up with one of the girls in the end (probably the blue-haired one), I appreciate him building a real friendship first.
and I gotta mention the EDs, because each of the main girls gets their own dedicated ED song and they're all beautifully animated. the OP is pretty fun too.
Tower of God Season 2 (part 1?) - 13 episodes, completed I'm honestly pretty torn on this one. once again my wife has read this whole webtoon, so she would have more thoughts about this in terms of adaptation, but I'm anime only. I really liked season 1, even though I found some of the worldbuilding hard to follow, so I was looking forward to this.
and man… I'm so disappointed in the animation for this season. The art style in S1 was one of my favorite things about it, so seeing them drop that in favor of a much more generic modern anime style was a huge bummer. If it was done so they could go all-out on the action more easily that would be one thing, but all of that is pretty lack-luster too, and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
as for the story, maybe I just don't remember S1 well enough, but I was pretty fucking lost sometimes. this is another story with mountains of worldbuilding, and I'm sure some fans of the webtoon could go on for hours about the lore. unfortunately that's not me! maybe I'd have a better time if I re-watched S1. even so, I did like most of the new characters, and seeing the returning ones when they showed up.
I dunno. 6/10 overall, not enough Khun. excited to see Khun more in the next cour.
VTuber Legend: (extremely long LN title) - 12 episodes, completed I cannot believe my wife made me watch this whole thing. I can't believe I actually sat through every episode. this show is some peak brainrot, but that's not always a bad thing?
don't get me wrong, I like vtubers just fine! I follow a couple of english-language ones that I like, though I'm not deep into the ~fandom~, as it were. I have no idea how accurate this show is for Japanese vtubers, but boy are these characters weird and horny. sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're unbearably cringe. though that probably doesn't come as much of a surprise, given the premise. who knows, if you like vtubers and bizarre fetish content, you might like this one.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword - 12 episodes, completed this show wound up being a kind of sleeper hit this season. I remember basically no one talking about it before it started airing. it must have had some crazy word-of-mouth recommendations though, because it shot up into the top five seasonal shows on MAL at some point. I started watching from episode one just because the PV trailers looked dope, and I was not disappointed!
in terms of story, again, there isn't anything we haven't seen before. magic high school, kid who can't use magic and gets bullied, but he's really good at sword fighting so he kills lots of scary monsters. but here's the thing, guys -- he looks fucking incredible while he's doing it. this show is completely carried by its slick animation and art style. it's just an absolute treat to watch, and I wish I could eat the colors and intense shadows at work here.
it's already confirmed for a second season, too. my wife liked S1 enough to read ahead in the manga, and she said it only gets better, so I'm definitely looking forward to that.
Honorable mention:
Oshi no Ko: Season 2 - 1 episode, on hold okay this is embarrassing but IN MY DEFENSE! I'm caught up on the manga! 😭 so I already know what this season is about!!! we just decided to wait until the whole season aired so we could binge it, and haven't gotten around to it yet. also it's annoying to watch, since I don't want to pay for fucking HIDIVE, so we have to watch it……. elsewhere.
but like I'm sure it's good. this is easily my favorite arc in the manga, so if the anime kept up the quality from season 1, I'm gonna have a great time. when we get around to it 🙃
#once again not tagging every anime bcuz I'll go insane#for fall 2024 I have TWENTY-TWO anime added to my list 😭#several of those I'm probs gonna watch when they're finished with another friend#but also jesus christ lmao#long post#ramblings#peo watches too much anime

Okayy I'm baaaaack! So did you listen to rpwp?? Did you like it? I love it 🥹 idk if it's just me, but something about the vibe, and some of the lyrics( or just they way he's saying those things) it kinda reminds me of his first mixtape, but in a more mature way, you know what I mean? I hope he got a lot of bad things off of his chest with this album though.. seems like he needed it. And some of my faves are heaven (saw you posted about it too!!!!), nuts and around the world in a day! I also watched that video with him and Jimin today and it got me thinking, after they come back together we might get to hear more things that we didn't know about before, and also get an even more raw version of them, their thoughts, fears, wishes. It looks like we're heading in that direction. Can't wait to see what the future will bring 🥺
About your last q., noo, unfortunately I don't work in the field rn :(.. I'll explain more about it some other time, if you want.
Ohhh that's awesome, then I hope you have a lot of fun to these concerts and anything else you're going to do this summer!! I kinda wanted to see Coldplay, they're coming to my country now in june, but the tickets sold out so fast 😭😭 but maybe it's better this way, the concert it's on the same day Jin comes back and I DON'T WANNA MISS THAT LIVE! I can't handle too much excitement in a single day anyway haha 🤣
Well, I guess it's better to just promise myself to have a little fun sometimes, regardless of what I'm doing, or if it's summer, or fall or winter..🌟

I saw ppl on twitter saying Cam praised Noel again at the Calgary Con, and I watched some clips but didn’t understand
Sorry. Would you be able to provide a link? I thought I had audio of the entire panel but it turns out I don’t.
He said some nice things about Noel at today’s panel as well. Cam said “Noel is an incredible actor and we loved those characters together. It was a joy.” It was in answer to a question about if there was anything he would have changed about the ending to Mickey and Ian’s story.
