This week marks 12 years since I watched HetaOni for the first time (and fell in love with Hetalia as a result) so I wanted to do something to celebrate :')
The screenshots with art are from @cookies-hetaoni, which I totally recommend checking out if you like HetaOni!!

Alright friend, so when I was watching Hawkeye and it's the scene where he's talking with Kate about the cost of being a hero. It gave me an idea, so I was thinking kate, yelena and reader are on a mission to scout an abandoned hydra base or something. Kate and reader enter a room when they are looking at a computer, reader hears a bomb. They both look around and when they find it it's about to explode. So reader pushes kate out of the room and shuts the door to protect her or if you like it better I was also thinking of reader getting shot saving kate or something while fighting hydra agents. Anyway, however you want reader to get hurt. So then at the compound in the med bay, reader is on life support when kate calls clint and just starts breaking down saying how she understands the cost now. Clint ends up coming to the compound to help kate. Reader ends up being ok in the end though cause kate deserves to be happy. I was thinking for a title you could call it the cost or something like that. Sorry sounds cliché I know, especially the title. Anyway, you're the best 💖 Also bonus points for having reader be yelena's younger sister and sorry if I rambled to much
The Cost
Pairing: Kate Bishop x Super Soldier! Reader
Summary: After saving Kate from a bomb, it opens the archer’s eyes to a much, much bigger picture about her new job.
Angst | Fluff | Mentions of Blood | Medical Talk | They/Them Pronouns Used | 1.4K |
AC: Thank you for sending this! I’m so happy to do some more Kate content, I made reader a Super Soldier for this, I hope that’s okay x
Tumblr media
Not a second thought went through your mind when you pushed Kate out of the room that held the data you and Kate were collecting. The bomb went off not even a second after Kate was pushed to safety, not leaving you a chance to get yourself to safety as the building fell on top of you. Kate was speechless as she searched the rubble for you, back up was on the way but even when they arrived, Kate didn't stop looking for you.
When you were found, all Kate could see was how much blood covered your body and instantly she thought the worst. Tears filled her eyes as the others made sure to get you to safety and take you back to the compound's medical center. Kate was beside herself as she waited outside your medical bay while the medical team did their best to keep you alive. If it wasn't for the fact that you were a super soldier, there would be no way you'd have survived the blast of the bomb.
It didn't matter how many times Kate replayed the situation over and over in her head, she knew you saved her life when you pushed her out the window of that room. Anytime Kate saw a nurse come out of the medical room, she would stop them and ask for an update but just like any hospital, they couldn't give the young archer any update until the doctor had completed the operation. Hours would pass before Kate would have any news on your condition.
"For now, they're in a medical induced coma to help their body heal. We won't know anything further until they wake up" Bruce explained to the team, but more so to Kate who felt sick to her stomach with worry.
You've been Kate's work partner for a little over a year now but only recently over the course of a couple of months have the two of you kindled a romance. Its new and exciting to the two of you which is why nobody else knew about it just yet. Besides, you'd be lying if you said you were slightly scared of what Clint might say considering how close he and Kate are. She's basically his adopted daughter and he's very protective of her.
"But they're going to be okay, right?!" Kate asked with a worried tone, she just needed Bruce to assure her that you were okay because she called the one person, she knew would help her through this situation.
"Right now, yes but until they wake up, we won't know if there us anything further that needs attention" he replied. It wasn't exactly jumping for joy news, but it was enough for Kate to calm down for a moment and excuse herself form the room.
"Clint, I need you to come to the compound, please" Kate's broken voice spoke through the phone.
"Is everything okay?!" Clint asked in an instant worried tone.
"I just…I need you here, I understand now" Kate replied.
"Understand what? Kate, are you okay? What's happened?"
"It all happened so fast, we were just getting data from this Hydra base when Y/n noticed an active bomb….it was already too late to run, they pushed me out the window before I had a chance to help them" Kate broke as she recalled the events that took place. Tears streamed down her face as she hoped you'd be okay. "The building just came down, there wasn't anything I could do Clint" Kate added in a sob, her words breaking with every tear that streamed down her face.
Clint gave the young avenger a moment of silence, already packing his overnight bag and writing a note for Laura to see later. "Kate, I'm on my way, okay?" he spoke, breaking the silence.
Kate nodded, even though she knew Clint couldn't see her action. "I need them to be okay" she sobbed.
"I know sweetheart, I know" Clint replied, not afraid to show her his caring side. "I'm on my way, just hang in there for me, can you do that?" he added.
"Yeah" Kate wiped her tears even though it felt pointless as more tears filled the place of the last ones.
----
Clint arrived and found Kate sitting by your bedside when her hand gently resting on top of your left, her thumb gently stroking your knuckles. The thought of you knowing she was by your side helped calm her wondering thoughts as she would tell you repeatedly how much she needed you to be okay.
"How are they?" Clint asked, quietly taking a few steps into the room. Kate looked up at him, her exhausted expression worried him. "Bruce said we won't know anything else until they wake up" Kate explained.
"What about you? Have you been checked out?"
"I'm fine, just a couple of cuts and bruises" Kate replied before she looked back at you, "they saved me Clint, without a second thought….they just pushed me out the window and I'm not sure how I didn't understand it before, but now I get it…this is the cost" Kate looked back at Clint with teary eyes, "I could lose them" she added.
"You can't think that way" Clint replied, placing a hand on her shoulder as he looked into her eyes, "yeah, this is the cost and there is a chance you or somebody on your team could lose their life but that's what makes you fight harder so that doesn't happen. Y/n's first thought was to protect you, to keep you safe and they did that. They are willing to risk their life to make sure you're okay and this is the cost they took. When it comes to life-or-death moments, there isn't time to think, you just do. This is why we train as hard as we do and why are so annoying with going over mission details to help prevent things like this happening." Clint added.
Kate's tears broke and once again formed another stream down her face as Clint wrapped his arms around the younger woman, holding her close for comfort.
----
6 months later and you were back on your feet like nothing happened, a few scars to remember but you made a full recovery.
"What's on your mind pretty?" you asked, breaking Kate's train of thought as she staired into space. "Huh? Oh, just you" she replied with a soft smile.
"That looked like some intense thoughts" you chuckled, "good ones I hope" you added. Kate wandered over to you and straddled your lap before softly pressing her lips against yours, "promise me you won't scare me like that again?" she spoke.
"What? Bring you back from your thoughts?" you asked, gently rubbing her back.
"No, I mean" Kate paused for a moment, "I don't want to lose you, ever! Clint told me something a couple of years back, you know, before I became an avenger. This job comes with a cost an-"
"Baby, listen to me" you stopped Kate's worrying thoughts leaving her lips, "it's going to take much more than a bomb explosion to get rid of me, I knew there was no way the two of us were going to get out of that room safely and I knew I'd have a much higher fighting chance at surviving the bomb because of the serum" you couldn't help by brush a lock of her long dark hair behind her ear.
"I wake up every morning worried that something might happen to you on a mission or just by doing day to day things, I wish I could protect you from every single thing but it's not how life goes but if I can protect you, I will, without a second thought" you added while looking into her eyes.
"But what if one day you don't make it? That's what I'm worried about baby" Kate replied as her hands rested peacefully on your shoulders. "Kate, honey, let's not think about the what ifs, let's think about the now. I'm here and I'm okay. You're here and you're okay, we have each other and to me, that's all that matters. I'm not going anywhere, I promise" you cupped her face gently, pulling her closer to your lips as you kissed her deeply. "I love you" Kate whispered between kisses. A smile tugged at your lips before you kissed her once more, "I love you too baby" you replied.

Review of Dragon Age the Veilguard
First off, right off the bat, I’m putting out there I am foremost a story person. Give me a good story and I’m happy. Then its graphics, gameplay (by which I mean do I think it is very replayable), then combat.
So positives first for me:
Story: I love the story. It’s a little cliche and a bit silly but it’s so much fun. Besides it’s not like Dragon Age has ever not been a bit cliche. Secret bastard son of the king saving his homeland. Frosty witch with a secret sensitive side. Assassin who wants out. These were in the FIRST game. I very much enjoyed it and the lore we were given. I actually went ‘WHAT THE FUCK’ out loud multiple times and had a blast through the whole thing. I actually dropped my controller in shock during the final battles because of several moments.
I’ve seen complaints about the writing being ‘MCU’ but honestly I just recently replayed the first three, and this is the same to me. It’s actually better to me then Inquisition which I found so boring. No really, Inquisition was the weakest to me character and writing wise. It felt so flat but Veilguard brings back the spark that Origins and DA2 had. This sort of ‘we need to get people together and save the world despite the odds’ spark.
Characters: I love every single one of them and am already starting more playthroughs so I can ROMANCE THEM ALL. Some may not be your cup of tea but honestly a lot of the hate I notice tends to be the weird feminist ‘you have to be serious’ tone, the ‘I don’t like anything cheery’ type, transphobes or racists. The actual critical takes I find tend to veer on the usual bullshit of the writers in general. (Such as Taash apparently having to choose between two cultures and how their gender is handled. Which fair. I love their gender storyline but it isn’t the greatest story)
The characters are very dynamic and fun to get to know. I didn’t care about Harding in Inquisition but I love her here. It’s just so much fun.
Character Creator: This is honestly the best one I’ve seen yet. I know everyone loved BG3 and how they do it but Veilguard BLOWS it out of the water. Just so many options and things to do.
Plus as a side note you can choose to be nonbinary or trans and it has an affect. It is so cool. I loved my Rook talking about their gender.
Combat: Oh man this is weird for me but I love this combat. Let’s be real- tactical stuff in the past games were clunky and off. A lot of Origin purists say DAO was the best but who ACTUALLY used half the stuff? Like traps? Maybe a fair few but the majority didn’t. The whole series so far had been button mashing for me. Here? Nope! It’s a lot more complex for me and makes me actually think. I love it.
Puzzles: One person I saw said they were to simple. My response is that the early ones were but they sure ain’t later on. Took me forty minutes to figure out one. It’s awesome.
Gameplay: FUN! Just everything about it is so nice and I love it. It’s not annoying to do, it’s simple once you get used to it and honestly I like how the missions are set up. I do think it is very replayable as a whole.
The Ending: I FUCKING LOVE THE ENDING IT IS SO DAMN COOL. I dropped my controller during it, I gasped, I cheered (totally guessed one plot twist but DAMN did not expect the very end) and HOLY SHIT it was SO GOOD.
Now the negatives.
Story: There’s a lot of sanitization of the Crows. The Crows are canonly assassins who buy a lot of their recruits and brutally train them to become Crows. It is not nice unless maybe your family are Crows and you’re treated nicely. Even then, Lucanis canonly was beaten by his grandmother during training and other things.
Also, I did not like how my Rook Laidir suddenly talked about being a galley slave. It was confusing as that was never brought up before. If they’d included it in the description it would have been better. So I’m headcanoning something different for Andy Laidir. I think this is just an over sight, but it is off putting for me that it’s suddenly said once then vanishes.
There's also a few things with how story progression goes. It feels a bit to fast in some moments, and to slow in others. I think that they had to many ideas, but I'll talk about that in the factions section.
Characters: While I love their story line I think Taash could have done better if there was less ‘choose between being Rivaini or Qunari’. Like having a disconnect from your culture is understandable but I felt it was to… ‘you must conform or reject’. That’s not how it goes.
As well the discussion of gender was fairly Western specific which isn’t true across all cultures. It would have been interesting to explore it more and with Taash also wondering about the Qunari version of gender as why they don’t feel right.
I’m also semi kinda upset with how Davrin kept getting the same ‘intro’ scene to his quests a bit. Just him carving something. It was recycled to me and compared to the others… kinda felt off.
Also, while I love him, Lucanis' romance isn't my favourite. It's very slow burn and while nice, I felt that it was to much of a slow burn in the end, where it's just them kissing and a few words of love. I haven't been spoiled about the others too much, but he feels very lacklustre. But it might just be me there. I will defend it saying it isn't bad, but for me? Not my cup of tea.
I'm also disapointed with Isabela's cameo. While YES WE SEE HER, I do romance her with Hawke often and I can't believe any of my Hawkes who did (and lived) are't with her causing chaos. Plus for fuck sakes she gets some generic outfit but Morrigan gets a super special one? Really?
Combat: While I love it, I think they made the dragons to OP. It’s really hard to get close and fight them. Of course I am not a combat person so it may just be I’m bad at it. I do think some of the 'being shoved backward' moments could have been done better as well.
Gameplay: Okay so… I think the choice to have Varric narrate things wasn’t ‘bad’ but they really went to spoiler filled in some. Like dude, don’t SAY that?!? I don’t get to eagerly wait in suspense now, I know what’s going on. That’s not fun. Boo!
Also the animations for opening chests was annoying.
Factions: I feel this is another kinda let down. I truly believe the only four that mattered were Veil Jumpers, Shadow Dragons, Crows and Grey Wardens. Plus I felt again a lot of this is sanitized. The Crows are not a good organization. Sure they basically are the Antivan military but they’re assassins who buy their recruits half the time. Lords of Fortune are pirates and treasure hunters. They're not 'good' people.
This really ties into my thoughts on progression: we could have done away with the Lords and the Mourn Watch to focus only on the four factions and it would have been amazing. Probably would have had better pacing for the plot to. While it was so cool to see these places, in the end it would haven't taken away from the main plot by just not having them be around.
However- despite my negatives, and despite my issues?
This game is a solid 8.7/10. It was truly 9.5/10 for most of the game, but by the end, I did find that I was a bit dissatisfied with some things. However, the game is genuinely amazing. It's a call back to the original 'rag-tag bunch of losers go and save the day' and has elements of Mass Effect 2 I adore.
Solid game, if you loved Origins, DA2 and even some elements of Inquisition, go for it. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure as hell is mine.

Sonic Thoughts
this will be different than most of my posts, but id like to type this out since i been thinking bout it alot, nothing wrong is going on btw this is mostly me typing out my thoughts
________
but if you want a tl;dr:
not entirely leaving/done with it, but i want to focus on other stuff aside of sonic the hedgehog in general, i want to focus on my other interests and obsessions
________
i been thinking bout it and i decided that sonic superstars will be my last sonic game i'll buy for who knows how long
this does not mean i hate sonic now or i'm done w it or anything, but i been recently thinking bout how sonic's been these past few yrs, content wise and what i personally think bout it currently
latest releases such as sonic prime, sonic movie 2, idw comics and sonic origins made me think bout it alot, as much as i enjoyed the movie and liked the idw comic i got as a gift, this is a whole new generation of fans we speaking of now, its been more noticeable how a new era of sonic is here thanks to the movies and that makes me so happy but it also makes me realize how some of the recent stuff flat out isn't rlly my thing (like sonic prime), sure, they may be good on their own and such but there's some stuff i just dont think its worth for me to look at, but i do however hope the newer generation enjoys it alot, i dont feel like part of that target demographic anymore
one major thing that made me question it too is pmuch with the quality of games, i recently gave frontiers a second playthrough and it made me remember why i had a fun experience with it, but it also made me see the flaws it has aswell too, its not a perfect game by any means but you can tell morio kishimoto, lizuka and everyone at sonic team have been wanting to deliver an amazing experience for a while now, remembering how the director had to convince higher ups to get more time for development made me think alot, this will be a dumb comparison maybe but if there's one thing i would love for sega to have its give more time and budget for its developers and such, recently, even if sometimes nintendo has been very questionable and sometimes bad, i will give them alot of credit and respect by how they been treating their artists and devs recently, games such as tears of the kingdom and smb wonder, seeing how they gave alot of time to their developers and artists to craft such wonderful games, i definitely want that for sonic games to have as well too, it has been admitted before and it has been a thing i been agreeing for yrs too
whenever i look back at sonic fondly, its mostly games i played in the past and still replay and hope i will for many yrs to come, same with the era and type of sonic i usually enjoy the most too, its just something thats not there anymore and its usually what comes up in my head whenever i think of sonic rather than the recent stuff, not saying its bad or anything but its my prefered one just like how many ppl have their prefered and definitive version of sonic
i been playing and enjoying many other stuff aside of sonic for many yrs now, as a kid i remember always being sattisfied with a game from the famicom for example, or how games like cave story and super meat boy made me have a blast for hours, but i do noticed how in recent years its been lowering with sonic and what i mostly do is revisit the older games and played frontiers when it came out, for yrs i been enjoying exploring and enjoying many different types of games old and new, i highly recommend sonic fans to also widen their library of games (and media in general) to explore many hidden gems
i have many other interests and obsessions that cannot leave my head, so i want to give more love to those as well too, at a far distance, ppl will know right away im a sonic fan, but will completely ignore my other interests and outside of gaming as well too, so its also why i been thinking bout this too
so yeah, if you notice my lack of sonic stuff is because of that, again, i do not hate sonic or im done with it, but its been a question in my head i been contemplating for some time now since sonic pretty much is one of the main things i literally cannot live without (xd), i will still do sonic fanart stuff from time to time, i will still replay my favorite games and such and of course, i will play and enjoy sonic superstars as my last sonic game for who knows how long, i hope ppl who have known and met me because of my sonic stuff have that in mind maybe
if you've read all of my wall of text, ty, i dont think this will be read either way but if so, ty very much and hope you have a good one

Seth MacFarlane & Liz Gillies - We Wish You The Merriest
Note: This review was meant to go up before Christmas, but I kind of forgot about it, and I still want to post it, so oh well.
I’m going to be frank for a second — I’ve only truly gotten into Christmas music within the last couple of years. I just never got into it growing up, whether it was the same handful of songs that are popular, and that get replayed each year, or how most Christmas music sounds the same, or has the same message. It gets tired, and even after getting into some Christmas music, I still feel that way. I’ve been real picky with the Christmas music I’ve been listening to, and I’ve found that I really enjoy the jazzier side of Christmas. Albums from Ol’ Blue Eyes himself, Frank Sinatra, as well as Dean “The King Of Cool” Martin, and Ella Fitzgerald are all ones that I’ve come to really get into, but one artist that I’ve talked about before is Seth MacFarlane, and his jazz career. Known as the creator and the main voucf actor (he hasn’t written for the show since 2010, give or take), of a little show called Family Guy, as well as American Dad, and the Ted movies (and the upcoming show), along with lesser known projects, he also has a music career. Inspired by mainly Frank Sinatra, he has released a bunch of albums in this retro jazz and big band style, covering a lot of standards from that era.
He just put out an album last year called Blue Skies, and it was one of my top albums of 2022. I had it at number three, but in retrospect, I should have put it at number one. I absolutely loved that album; it was so fun, upbeat, energetic, and catchy. MacFarlane really nails that style, and he sort of did it again with his newest album, We Wish You The Merriest. This time, though, he doesn’t do it alone — he teams up with Victorious actress, Liz Gillies. He did put out an EP with her a few years ago, during the pandemic, entitled Songs From Home, and it, too, is really fun. Their chemistry is great, Gillies can sing insanely well, and I never realized that until now. They had a couple of Christmas songs on that EP, but they’re different versions than what we got, which I like, because they could have slapped those on and called it a day, but they sound different and better.
I hate to say this, although I really don’t, but I love this album so much, it’s one of my favorites of the year, because it combines a few things — jazz, Seth MacFarlane, and Christmas music. The Christmas aspect could be a novelty for some people, and in a sense, it is, but here’s the thing that elevates this album — the song selection. I recently listened to an interview that both Seth and Liz did on the Zach Sang show, and they talked about how they wanted to put every Christmas song that doesn’t mention “Christ” on the album, and all of these songs are timeless and secular songs that anyone can enjoy. There are a lot of very well known song, such as “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Frosty The Snowman,” and “Winter Wonderland,” but a few lesser known songs are here, including the title track, “Christmastime All Over The World,” and “That Holiday Feeling.”
Another thing I love here is that Seth MacFarlane dropped a Christmas album back in 2014, entitled Holiday For Swing, and it’s another solid record, but the cool thing is that no songs from that album show up here — except for one. That song is, understandably, “The Christmas Song,” and instead of a solo cut, it’s a duet, which makes it stand out. That album features a few other duets, as well as some more classic Christmas tunes (and some obscure ones), but this one is a bit different, as I think it has more energy. Holiday For Swing has a lot of energy, too, but We Wish You The Merriest is such a blast to listen to. I always have a smile on my face when listening to this record. It always breezes by, too.
I could go into a bit more about how both Gillies and MacFarlane sound, and how their chemistry is great, too, or how the arrangements are done well, but these are mostly songs that people know well. You’ve heard these songs before from various artists of various genres, but maybe not always in a duet form. This album, whether it’s the overall sound, the album art, or their voices (and their playful banter they have on a few tracks) reminds me a lot of albums from the 1950s and 1960s, but in a really good way. Honestly, this is the Christmas album I’ve been playing more than anythjng else, and it’ll surely be on the rotation every year from now on.

Replaying Subnautica - Have Some Tips
...I should be doing college work, yet here I am. o-o’
Oh, well.
SUBNAUTICA!!
I really love this game. It’s terrifying as all hell, but I love it so much. I haven’t really played through Below Zero due to being a goddamn coward, but I have put nearly 100 hours into OG Subnautica. Here are some little tips for anyone who maybe hasn’t played it in a long time or hasn’t played it at all but wants to later on. Here are Ellie’s Top 10 Tips for New/Returning Gamers Playing Subnautica.
1. Make fins and an oxygen tank as soon as feasibly possible and keep upgrading them when you can. You’re going to want that extra O2, and the fins, while not the best, can be upgraded to either Ultra Glide Fins or Swim Charge Fins - the latter being able to charge your electronic devices and the former being twice as fast as normal fins.
2. Harvest a lot of salt deposits and coral tube samples. While you can use salt to cure your food, I’d recommend saving it and making bleach out of it. While Bladderfish water gives you +20 to your fluid intake, bleach can make two water bottles that give +30 each. It’s a little thing, but one I find handy until you can make the Water Filtration system.
3. Use the vehicles and the Seaglide sparingly. Most of the enemies in Subnautica are attracted to lights, sound, or both, so moving through the water as silently as possible is key. Especially around the damn Reaper Leviathans.
4. Build bases in the different biomes. This one’s a given, but it helps to have a habitat at the ready in most biomes, especially ones that are deeper underwater. It’s a great storage place, you can fix up your vehicles if you have a Moonpool, and you can build things with a Fabricator if you need emergency supplies.
5. BEACONS. Those will be your best friend, so get the Beacon fragments as soon as possible. Believe me, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost my way trying to find the damn mushroom forests and, when I finally find it, I lose it almost immediately after. (My most recent escapade to find the mushroom forest ended up with me going right to the giant-ass gun island by accident. That was not fun for my heart when I started hearing Reapers and I immediately thought I had gone into the Dunes.)
6. You can desensitize yourself to the Reapers’ roars. It’s been too long since I last played, so I have to get used to them again. However, it’s pretty easy to desensitize yourself. Go into a creative world, go build a base in a Reaper-infested area (I used the Crash Zone for mine, but I plan on using the Dunes next) and just sit down and watch the Reapers for a few minutes. The roaring will be really loud, but it will help you warm up to the Reapers so that way you don’t go into “deer in the headlights” mode when you hear one in a survival world.
7. Don’t be afraid to stock up on supplies. You will find that, as you get further into the game, some resources become pretty damn scarce, so make sure you stock up. Most common things to stock up on would be copper, cave sulfur, silver, diamonds, ion cubes (and tablets), nickel, table coral, and most types of growable flora.
8. To quote Jacksepticeye: “Okay, do not tempt fate! Fate will come back and bite you in your hairy ass!” For God’s sake, if you see a hostile leviathan or any variation of hostile creature, do not approach them. Leave them the hell alone to do whatever they were doing beforehand. If you haven’t seen Jacksepticeye playing Subnautica, then go watch his playthroughs if you want - both the early release and the full playthrough. He tempts fate way too many times.
9. Stasis Rifle + Scanner + Survival Knife = Safety. Almost everyone who has played Subnautica knows this general rule, but I thought I’d still say it. The stasis rifle, when you get it, will be an absolute necessity if you want to go scan the more dangerous creatures of Subnautica, especially the hostile leviathans. Make sure to charge the blast all the way, then get in close as fast as possible if the shot connects and scan that fucker before the stasis field dissipates. Then, if you really need to, use the survival knife in tandem with the stasis rifle to kill the hostile creature if it still poses a threat.
And Number 10. Don’t be upset if you’re afraid. Believe me, that feeling is very normal. It’s alright to be scared of Subnautica, even if you’re not a thalassophobe. It’s supposed to unnerve you; it’s survival horror where you can’t really defend yourself against the threats. That’s the entire point of the game. I love the ocean, but even I’m terrified of going anywhere near the Reaper Leviathans and the Sea Dragons because of the threat they pose. A lot of people will say that there’s nothing to be scared of when you play the game for a long time, and sure, that may be true for some people, but it’s not true for everyone. Don’t be mad at yourself for getting spooked by a crashfish or by backing away when you see a crabsquid. You’re not alone.

I'm completely burned out by modern Games what should I do?
I'm completely burned out by modern Games, what should I do? I recently upgraded my PC to basically the best You can go. Only to discover that I actually hate most modern GamesThere just doesn't seem to be anything that I both like and that justifies my upgradeI recently played through Cyberpunk 2077 and had a blast with that game... But I really can't find anything to move onto, I got the new Call Of Duty game and absolutely hated itI went back to playing some older Games and had lots of fun with that but I also don't want to play the same 20 year old Games over and over. I feel like I need to move on but all modern Games just look so similar to MeSo what modern games should I try? Stuff like Elden Ring will already fall out of the criteria because I know that games like that will frustrate Me more than give Me joy. It should also be a game that I can either play for a very long time or that has good replay value (And it should be singleplayer as I really can't stand multiplayer anymore) Submitted January 02, 2025 at 02:11PM by TheGoodSatan666 https://ift.tt/uv14MYn via /r/gaming

Things that have changed about this world state since my first incomplete playthrough:
It has a name!
Starting world state for Inquisition is completely different. When the game first came out I really had no idea what I wanted my "canon" world state to be but I felt like I had to Decide and I didn't have time to replay the first two games before the release, so I sort of cobbled a world state together in the Keep. If I recall it was female Mahariel who romanced Leliana, and female Blue Hawke who romanced Isabela. It turns out that not having a "canon" and just being a multi world state mess is the life for me! "Rogues Gallery" now includes my first-ever warden, Jolene Cousland (who I replayed this year and had a fun time revisiting even if she's not the most interesting of my characters) who romanced Alistair and they both stayed Grey Wardens. It includes a new Hawke because since my first two playthroughs of DA2 were with the defaults, I feel I didn't really have a "first Hawke" so I made one on theme. Mallory is an archer and a pure Purple asshole who romanced Isabela (and Merrill post-game; they have a happy triad) and has only recently decided to start openly giving a shit about things.
Calla conscripted the mages instead of recruiting them as partners.
Calla has a bit more of a sense of humor (and is way more of a flirt) than the first time around.
Calla gets along really well with Sera (see above about sense of humor).
Calla is a bit more the master of her own fate here. I always had in mind her accepting the title of Herald as some kind of long con, but that didn't really solidify until Skyhold. This time around, she was already playing that game in Haven.
Solas hates her. 😂 I did not plan this, but this time around I've made her a lot less curious about magic (having played the game a few times, there's less pressure to exhaust every dialogue option even when it's OOC) and the decisions she's made have shifted just enough to earn a lot of disapproval. She'd managed to get him up to neutral, and then she brought the Grey Wardens into the Inquisition and now he's icy again. I had planned for her reaction to the Haven dream to stay pretty much the same ("What the fuck did you just do?") but at this rate she's never going to get it at all. I think I may have asked just a few too many questions to get the "Not really, no" option in Trespasser, which is a shame, because at this point that seems appropriate. 🤣
And I think that's the major stuff. I think I wandered away from the game right after "Here Lies the Abyss"; I know I never got to Josephine's engagement quest and I never did "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts." As the latter has since become my favorite quest in the game, I absolutely cannot wait to go charm the court with my butch lesbian mafia dwarf. And also duel for the honor of her lady love. Calla's a blast. I'm really glad I decided to bring her back.
This is it Mr. Frodo. If I do one more quest, it'll be further than I got with Calla on my first-ever playthrough of Inquisition!

okay i literally cannot get @agathashcrkness' prof!agatha fic out of my head and i want to hurt myself even more so more angst for everyone yay! (thanks again for letting me add to this story 🥹)
also of course thanks to @wandakink for starting the prof aggie brainrot 🫡
Tumblr media
After debating whether you'd show up to Agatha– Professor Harkness' class over the weekend, which you spent constantly replaying Agatha's demeanor changing as swiftly as the wind and wondering what went wrong, you'd eventually decide to show up. Graduation is around the corner, and you can't and won't let a one-time affair affect your studies.
Although you had already let her leave a great mark on your heart.
A few months from now you'd get out of this sudden hell you've found yourself burning, and then you would forget everything that had happened. If she could do that with a snap of a finger, you could, too.
Instead of taking your usual seat in front of her, you opted to sit near the door, farthest from her. The lecture hall is surprisingly packed, and with Agatha's speech recently, you were sure she wouldn't notice.
With your earphones blasting in your ear, you don't hear the noise in the hall dying down as Agatha enters the room. The professor stops in her tracks a few steps from the door, catching a familiar whiff of your shampoo and perfume. She covertly glances in your direction, and Agatha's heart breaks even more seeing you choose to sit so far from her. She's not used to it, and she doesn't know if she will, but she has to. After all, she's the one who practically told you to stay away from her.
Your seatmate notices the lingering gaze Agatha gives you and taps you on your shoulder, gesturing to the professor's direction. You meet Agatha's baby blues for a split second, before turning away and pretending to fiddle with your notes. In the past, you would have given her a smile, and she'd return it with her own teasing one.
With that, you fail to see how her eyes are rimmed red from all the tears she had shed.
You don't have to know anyway.
The class starts, and you're trying your best not to look at her in fear of Agatha catching your eyes, so you take your time staring at her when she's looking in a different section of the hall. She's as beautiful as ever.
Trying not to cry and pretend that you're not falling apart on the inside is hard. It's tough.
But all the emotions you've felt during your last interaction are washing all over you again, and you don't notice the teardrop staining your paper.
You're angry, but it doesn't take away the fact that you're still in love with her. Madly.
Agatha, on the other hand, is damn good at keeping up appearances (in her defense, the moment earlier was just a slip).
She doesn't like you being so close yet so far, your usual seat near her remaining empty as almost everyone knew you occupied that spot. She doesn't like not seeing you not in front of her as you eagerly raise your hand, not hearing your voice as you ask or answer her questions.
She doesn't like this at all, but she has to suck it up—just up until graduation.
She wishes she didn't fall in love with you at all. It could have been easier for her, and for you, if you remained what you should have been to each other in the first place. But until then, the two of you would just have to endure the crushing weight of forbidden love.

Romperse (Los Regalos Series)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Horacio Carrillo x Fem!Reader
Rating: PG
Summary: Part 3 of the Regalos Series! You and Horacio actually have a real date but it doesn't end the way you plan.
Romperse (Break)
Finally, he has you alone and to himself.
The two of you have been trying to spend an uninterrupted evening together for the last two weeks and something had always come up that called one or both of you back to the office. Leads were coming in as fast as you could listen to the tapes but they were providing very little arrests. You were still going in circles looking for Escobar.
But not tonight.
It certainly isn’t how he had the evening planned, how he had thought it would go, but the end result is what he wanted. It is just the two of you in a quiet dark room with a bed. He had just hoped to be in the bed with you and for there to be less medical equipment present. He sits in the hard plastic chair next to the hospital bed and keeps guard over you as you sleep off the pain medications. He replays the events of the evening and tries to figure out what could have been done differently, if anything.
He showed up at your apartment to escort you to dinner and you looked so adorable in your dress, the full skirt hitting your calves. His mouth is on yours as soon as he’s through the door. You grab hold of the lapels of his jacket and hold on for dear life, pulling him as close to you as possible. Not that he needed any extra encouragement. It had been a long few days of being nothing but coolly professional to each other when this was all he wanted to do, to feel you in his arms and kiss you senseless. But you broke away from him with a lighthearted laugh and a juke under his arm, practically dancing in your sandalled feet.
“I thought we were going out tonight for dinner?”
He huffed out a frustrated breath. “We are, but can’t we-”
You grabbed your purse and winked at him. “Come back here for dessert?”
He swore you could read his mind sometimes. “Exactamente.” (Exactly.)
“I think that can be arranged,” you bit your lower lip, giving him a coy smile before opening the door. “Después de ti, mi amor.” (After you, my love.)
He actually thought about changing restaurants, finding some place that would have faster service, but no. You deserved a nice, relaxing dinner after all the hours you’ve been putting in lately. The hours that you both have been putting in, if he’s honest about it. So he keeps his hands in his pockets as you lock the door behind you both and he walks you out to his car. However, once you’re both inside the vehicle and heading towards the outskirts of Medellín, does he take one of your hands in his, kissing the back of it, before keeping it in his hold for the rest of the drive.
The place he chose was out of the city but it also meant the chances of you running into coworkers was fairly slim.  Not that the relationship between the two of you was exactly off limits or broke any rules, but it definitely would not be well received by either some of his men or the American Army. You both had decided keeping this romance as quiet as possible was for the best. The ride to the restaurant was filled with comfortable silence, both of you processing through the work day in preparation for a relaxing dinner where work won’t touch either one of you.
You’re absolutely enchanted by the little bistro, taking in the open air seating under the thatched roof with wide, appreciative eyes. That was one thing that always confused him when he talked to Americans about what the restaurant experience is like in the States. He can’t imagine having to constantly eat in a closed room with air conditioning blasting overhead. The formality just has to kill the relaxed tone that a meal should present. He’s thankful that you find this exciting, new, and enjoyable. When you were seated at the small wooden table was when conversation started.
“Have you heard from your family recently?”
You smiled warmly over your glass of wine. “What? Not listening to my phone conversations lately? You’re not losing interest already, are you, Horacio?”
“Hardly. I need something to talk about with you since we’re doing this properly now.”
“Ah. Well, in that case, my mother is wondering when I’m coming home because there’s a nice young man who has started going to our church and she wants me to meet him.”
He knew enough about you by now to pick up on the lilting humor in your voice as you impart this information to him. “And what did you tell your mother?”
“Not to get her hopes up since I’m already fornicating with a Colombian Colonel.”
He almost laughed at the comment but managed to reduce it to a slight smirk. “Technically we haven’t fornicated just yet.”
You shifted in your chair slightly. “I was kind of wondering if that was what dessert was going to lead to this evening.”
He reaches across the table and takes your hand in his again. “It can if that’s what you want.”
A blush tinged your cheeks and a barely contained smile tugged at your lips. “I do, I do want that. If you do too.”
He kissed the bumps of your knuckles. “Más de lo que sabes, mi amor.” (More than you know, my love.)
And then the gunshots rang out.
There’s a knock at the door and it pulls Horacio out of his thoughts. Peña is standing by the hospital room door and Horacio waves him forward. Peña steps into the room and quietly closes the door.
“Doctor said she’s going to be fine.”
Horacio nods. “Bullet went clean through her forearm. Muscle damage but no tendon or ligament issues. Should heal with little issue.”
“Good.” He nods and gives you a cursory glance. “Steve and I looked into it, asked around about what happened.”
“And?” He knows what Peña is going to say. It’s something that he’s been fearful of ever since he first took the position as commander of Search Bloc.
“It was an assassination attempt.” He sighs. “We connected the shooter to Escobar; it was one of his sicarios.”
That had been his suspicions. It doesn’t make him feel any better to know that they were confirmed. “Is he dead?”
Peña’s eyebrows go up in surprise. “Between the two of you, eight slugs to the chest, yeah, he’s dead.”
“Good.” It brings some satisfaction, but not completely. Peña remains standing at the end of the hospital bed. “Is there anything else?”
“No,” he shakes his head but then grimaces. “Actually, yeah, there is. You two, at the same restaurant…”
“Yes?”
“You were the one leaving her gifts at her desk.”
“It’s amazing that Escobar hasn’t been caught yet by you and Murphy.”
Peña smirks. “You two are good though. Very professional in the office.”
Horacio shifts in the chair. “But?”
“Crosby is looking at making cuts. Her job is one of the positions on the chopping block and if he gets wind of…this,” Peña motions between the two of you, “she’s for sure headed back to the States.”
“So what do you suggest?”
“That we break up,” you say from the hospital bed.
Horacio thinks that he’s misheard you and stands up to be closer to you. “What?”
You turn bleary eyes, still under the effect of the pain meds, in his direction. “Not a real break up. Just a fake one.” You wave your hand in a drug induced relaxed motion. “You know, I couldn’t handle dating the leader of Search Bloc so…” you sigh. “I’m making myself sad now.”
Horacio takes your hand, careful of the IV drip. “Not a real one, remember, mi amor.”
Your glassy eyes go wide. “Javi’s here.”
Peña chuckles and leans over the bed, grabbing your ankle. “Javi can keep a secret.”
That seems to calm you and Peña takes his leave. You squeeze Horacio’s hand and smile that drug-induced grin up at him. “I’m sorry we didn’t get to have dessert.”
He tucks some stray hairs behind your ear and tries to ignore the bandages around your forearm. “We’ll have another chance soon.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”

TITLE : hospital stay
PAIRING : bakugou katsuki x reader
SYNOPSIS : you’re in the hospital on your boyfriend’s birthday, and bakugou seems to have no issue with spending it in there.
WARNING(S) : MHA MANGA SPOILERS ‼️ (recent arc)
legend : [Y/N = your name] they/them pronouns used, a quirk similar to the avatar but that’s about it.
note(s) : so, it’s bakugou’s birthday. and i had this idea since march 20 😦 so i’ve been waiting for his birthday to come for literally a month but i didn’t want to post this way too early. alsooo i don’t know if this arc happened near spring but lets pretend it did for the sake of the story
When you woke up, the fluorescent lights were the first to hit your face
Following by the incoming beeping of a monitor, and the sudden throbbing of your head, the dryness of your throat evident.
Blinking slowly (or trying to, your other eye being a bit delayed.) you try recalling what just happened. You’re in a hospital, that’s one thing you know, but the specifics are still unknown to you.
Right. You remember now, you were fighting along side your classmates, and you managed to get blasted away when you thought that shielding Bakugou Katsuki would work. Yeah, you were sure that you were going to get an earful from him, if he—
You jolt when you notice said blond standing right next to your bed, vermillion eyes staring deep into your own, and somewhat— you could feel the weight and intensity in the stare
“S-since when did you get here?” You’re startled, and your voice is hoarse. Bakugou doesn’t formulate a response, and chooses to avoid the question as a whole.
“Finally you’re up.” He rolls his eyes. He looks much better than you remembered, despite having a few bandages on his forehead— he looked well. “It’s been 5 fucking days.”
“Five days?” You question out loud, your sense of time all disorganized. You clench your hand, just to see if your quirk was still working. Seeing air, fire, water, and just.. something, would relieve your worries— but a look from the blond shot you down quickly. You decided that it was wise if you didn’t try.
The blond seems to be done with the conversation, since he immediately walks out of the room. Actually, why was he here? You’d expect him to be laying down in bed, but despite being hit with that beam, he was walking around like everything was fine.
He comes back with a few other nurses, and they’re relieved to see that you’re awake— and even though they’ve bombarded you with questions with how you felt, you couldn’t brush off the feeling of a pair of ruby eyes on you.
Just, glaring. It’s nothing abnormal.
When the nurses finally leave you alone, giving you details of a few injuries— like your injured— well, burned eyelid that honestly stung (it came from the fire aspect of your quirk) you would’ve expected to be alone in your hospital room for the rest of your time there but Bakugou stayed.
“You’re going to tell me why you jumped in front of me?”
You were expecting to be questioned by him, after all— what you did didn’t exactly shield him, since he was also pierced. You didn’t expect the interrogation to be happening this soon
“Actually, don’t answer that. I don’t want to fucking know.” And he suddenly changes his mind, just like that.
You would’ve said impulse as an answer, but you doubt that he would’ve taken that seriously. And besides, you were kind of glad he changed midway that he didn’t want your answer. Your voice feels parched, despite chugging down a glass of water earlier.
“Did you check up on Deku?” You cringe when you hear cracks in your voice, and the dryness is unbearable to your throat, but he nods. “Idiot’s knocked out cold.”
He doesn’t mention the fact that you were one of the last few people that were still rendered unconscious.
“Your throat sounds like the sahara desert. Do me a favor and drink up.”
You blink owlishly at the glass of water that was set on the mini table, and when you drink up— it actually does something to relieve (temporarily) the dryness.
It was a consequence of your quirk after all, using your quirk too much would cause your body to feel sore, and everywhere to feel dry, and he knew that.
Bakugou was acting uncharacteristically, and you just don’t know why. Maybe it’s not so uncharacteristic of him, since he’s been less of an asshole as of recently, but you know that he would probably deviate from the question if you asked, so the both of you sat in silence.
It’s the next day, the same as yesterday— except it looked like dawn when you woke up. Bakugou also appeared at the side of your bed once again, almost as if he was there for quite some time.
“Nice to see you too,” You think to yourself, and you’re glad you didn’t actually say that out loud. You try to stand up straight, but Bakugou’s quick to push your back against the pillows.
“Don’t sit up, that’s idiotic.”
“Right, sorry. How did you get here? Isn’t it too early?” The parched throat came back. Though the ‘magical’ baku-water helped, it’s effects were only temporarily, sadly.
“You call 7am early?” Right, because for him— 7am isn’t that early, you even remember seeing him up at 6 sometimes.
“Actually, wait.” You blink, trying to recall what day it was, and what month it was. You recalled it being spring but.. was it March? or was it April already?
“What.. day is it today?”
It was almost like he was hesitant to say, “..April 20.”
“What the— April 20?” You’re appalled, because the last time you remembered, it wasn’t anywhere near April 20, but maybe it’s your 5 day unconsciousness to be blamed. “Isn’t it your birthday?”
“Shut up,” He mumbles, and he shifts around the room in search of something, but it’s too dim to be able to tell.
“Medicine. The nurses said you should take it now.”
You don’t reply.
“It’s for your Sahara desert throat. The other things are for your fucked up eye and injuries.”
That seems to be enough to convince you to take the medicine, and despite wanting to run away screaming from the bitterness, you take the medicine— not wanting to be met with any consequences
“Why are you spending your birthday here?”
“Do idiots like you ask that many questions?” He shoots back, and you’re unfazed by the fact that he just called you an idiot. You wouldn’t blame him.
“No but.. you seem fine.”
“A few days ago I was not, but now I am because I took medicine.” He walks over to untwist a few medicine caps, it appears to be for your eye.
“So, Does my eye look fine?” You bat your eyelashes just to mess with him, and he flicks your forehead with an ointment cap “No.”
“Sorry, sorry,” You laugh, choosing to completely ignore the sudden sharp pain when you laugh.
He bends down to reach eyelevel, “Can you see?”
“Sorta.” Your eye has this thin blur filter to it, that can’t be good— can it? Going blind in one eye, and having to wear an eye patch.
It was almost on cue, because Bakugou says “You’ll be rocking the pirate look if you don’t take your medicine,” Instead of handing the medicine for you to apply, he quickly applies a decent amount around your eyes— not giving you a warning whatsoever.
You wince slightly, but you’re glad it’s over. But why is he playing nurse with you? And why was he brushing off the fact that it’s literally his birthday.
Through out the entire day, Bakugou continued to act as if he had some responsibility over you. From helping you put on your medicine, to just monitoring you with eyes of a hawk. The fact that he chose to ignore all your protests was just a part of him.
His behavior was also very.. interesting. It would swing from being his usual self, to being this eerily quiet and calm Bakugou. You would’ve guessed that you were having a fever dream, if it weren’t for the fact that he wore his usual scowl on his face.
What remained consistent, despite it all— was that he stayed. He ate lunch in your room. He only left when the doctors and nurses asked him too, but that was only temporary. He stayed with you the entire day, even when the clock stroke 5pm.
But it’s quite literally his birthday? Why would he spend it in a hospital room with some extra? Or idiot? Let alone, why would he take care of said idiot/extra on his birthday? You don’t know because he refuses to tell you on why he spent it here.
“Did you at least get some cake or something?” You ask for the umpteenth time, Bakugou’s paced back and forth for some medicine bottles and bottles of water, and you could tell that he was scowling, despite the fact that he was facing the other direction, “Why the hell would I want cake? You’ve been asking weird shit all day.”
“Because it’s your birthday? Seriously— have you been brainwashed into thinking that it’s not your birthday?”
“What— fuck no. I haven’t been brainwashed.” He turns over to you, “I know today is my birthday.”
“Okay, so you know. Why aren’t you celebrating then? Did people forget? Or am I finally going insane?”
Bakugou chooses to stay silent. He stands up, and walks over to you— everytime he moves closer, you could feel your heart pound, luckily not at a dangerous rate.
“Birthday, birthday, birthday” He grumbles, quiet, but loud enough for you to hear. “That’s all you’ve been talking about. As if like you weren’t the one in the hospital bed as we speak.”
“Okay, is it wrong to remember your birthday?”
“Shut up, I didn’t say that.” He gets closer once again, almost to the point that your faces weren’t that far away.
“You’ve just been so concerned about my damn birthday, that you haven’t even taken a good look at yourself,” He gestures at you, by looking you up and down
You finally take observation of all of the gauzes, the IV tubes, and bandages, his words forcing you to look at what was reality.
“I don’t know why you did what you did, jumping in front of me like some kind of heroic bastard, it’s dumb. For all I know, I should be screaming at you, and wishing you the worst for that.” He clenches his fist when he recalls, the scene replaying in his head
“But what I am saying is that, you can give me a gift if you’re so fucking concerned about my birthday. It’s the least you can do.” His statement is solid enough for you to take him seriously. You wouldn’t have if he was scowling, but it’s quite.. different. An expression you’ve seen all day, but seeing it up close is a different story.
“And that would be..?” You gulp, anticipation bubbles
And just like that, he presses his lips against yours, the warmth of his lips sending shocks of warmth all around your body— the impact was abrupt, but the kiss as a whole was surprisingly gentle
Yet, it was also similar to his quirk, it sparked up spurs of need and sent goosebumps all over your body.
You place a hand on his shoulder, the tubes around your arms making it too difficult to wrap your arms around him as you deepened the kiss, Bakugou’s touch is cautious when he lays his hand on a spot that was the least affected, aware of your injuries. Pushing the small of your back with his hand quite gently, he kisses you like it’ll be the very last— even though you both know it won’t be.
When you both pull back, you’re taken aback— unable to think of coherent words, and a proper response.
But this damn bastard, he smirks at you knowing that he just sent shocks and explosions of intense feelings all around your body, your lips still tingling from the kiss.
“Wait, that’s unfair!”
“What?”
“I had no idea you even liked me!”
“For the fucking longest time I did, why the hell would I even be in some extras room, if I didn’t care about them?!” He tries not to yell too loudly but, the tone of his voice gets raised
You blink, “And you preferred playing nurse with your crush this entire time, instead of spending it properly like well.. everyone else?”
“Who the hell said— Fucking hell, do I have to kiss you again for you to understand?”
“Enlighten me,” Your mouth quirks up into a smile, which ultimately causes his cheeks to be set ablaze.
“Playing fucking nurse with you isn’t horrible. It’s one way to spend my birthday, even when you give me shit about it” His brows press together, trying to drown out his flustered expressions with a scowl, “There’ll be more birthdays to come, so why would I be ‘wasting’ it here? There, that’s it. You happy now?”
Silence.
“..More than happy. But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about your thing for playing nur—”
“Don’t you fucking finish that thought,” He says stern. “I’m going to get the nurses to check on you, and then— I’ll go home and come back again, tomorrow.”
He storms off, and when the blond is sure that he’s not in your line of vision anymore— he slumps against the wall
“Fucking hell, they’re driving me crazy.” He mumbles, recalling what he had pulled off earlier.

“Promise?”
“Promise.”

Please don’t let me go.
Part 2 to this! Thank you all so much for 2K followers!
Katsuki Bakugo
Tumblr media
Katsuki did not lose. Not in battles, not in competitions, friendly or not, and he would not lose you.  He refused to. He would not let you go. He loved you too much. He was too selfish to let you go. He fucked up, he’d own that. He fucked up badly, though he wasn’t certain he knew how to fix it. He could hear your sobs throughout your den, making him whine.
You hadn’t done anything but cry since those blasted words left his mouth and he was beginning (Pshh beginning, he always worried about you) to get scared.  Groaning, he shut off his phone, thanking any and every being out there an old friend of his was willing to take his shift (He had to send her a gift basket for her and Deku). His duffel landed on the ground with a thud before he was running to your guys room, opening the door with zero hesitation. You looked up to him with such heartbreak in your eyes. Fuck, his chest hurt.
Katsuki was never good with words, you and him both knew this, but he still had to make it right. He had too. Fuck his eyes were stinging as he approached you, making him collapse onto his knees in front of your nest. You watched him, not saying anything.
“Please, fuck I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to say that. Any of what I said. You don’t deserve it-deserve it. You deserve so much better than me- But I don’t want to let you go-” He was crying now, making you cry as well. You understood he was stressed, and you probably weren’t making it any better. Both of you were stressed and anxious and- fuck.
This wasn’t healthy communication. You and him both knew it. You needed to fix this. With time you would. Right now though, right now you were focused on the arms wrapping around you, and thats all you would focus on for now.
---
“Are you sure there isn’t anything you want to talk about with this upcoming pregnancy? This is a safe space.”
Katsuki smirked at the therapist. playing with the ring on your finger as he held your hand.
“What is there to say? I’m pumped. The Bakugou genes live on and I’ve got my pretty omega by my side.”
While marriage counselling sounded terrible on paper, it wasn’t. It gave you both an outlet and coping mechanisms when hurdles appeared in your relationship, and made you both overall a lot happier.
You purred as you leaned on your alpha, making the therapist smile.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’m no longer needed here. You both seem to have impressive communication now, and I can’t see this changing when your pup arrives. Though, keep in mind when that time comes, you both will need to be top of your game.”
You watched Katsuki nod, completely entranced by the therapists words. If you would’ve told yourself about this Katsuki a year ago, when your huge fight broke out, you would’ve laughed in your own face. But now, watching Katsuki work hard to prove he was the alpha you deserve?
Your heart fluttered and the butterflies in your tummy grew restless. While a pup would be a big challenge, you and Katsuki were ready for it.
And he would be with you every step of the way.
Shouto Todoroki
Tumblr media
His choice was made before his subconscious even had the chance to boot up. His throat closed up and his phone was crushed in his palm when it tried dragging his attention from the fact at hand. It was dropped with little remorse as Shouto quickly ran in the same direction you did, stopping you from entering your guys room. You chirped in surprise when he turned you around, pressing a searing kiss to your lips.
You wanted to fight him but Shouto didn’t let you. He didn’t let you go when you squirmed, he only tightened his grip (Not hurting you). He didn’t know when it happened, but tears were starting to drip down his cheeks.
Shouto didn’t get angry. But he got upset. He felt so guilty. Just seeing your heartbroken face replay on his mind was torture. Just knowing he had just did the same thing his father did to his mother. He was dismissing your worries and genuine concern because of his job.
“I-I don’t see how messed up this is. But I want you to tell me- show me. I want to be a better alpha for you. Bonding you wasn’t and won’t ever be a mistake to me. I don’t know what I’m doing, but I want to. I want to know why it’s such a big deal.”
You broke down as Shouto held you, not finding the words to explain anything just yet. You would need time to do so, and he would give you that time.
He just wanted to tell you he made his choice.
In fact, there wasn’t much of a choice at all, and he hoped-- prayed-- you could feel that.
---
“Shouto, we need you to start up the scenting again. You’re rep is dropping and-” His P.R. manager was halted with a finger, the half-and-half hero quickly dialing your number on a new-- not crushed-- phone.
“Sho? Aren’t you at work? Why are you calling? Did something-”
“Scenting things that aren’t for you, thats a breech of privacy and demeans our relationship, right?” Shouto cut you off, sending a silent apology to you.
You paused on the other end. “Yeah? We had this conversation a couple weeks ago. Are you okay?”
He smiled. “Fine. Just reminding myself.”
You both said your quick goodbyes before Shouto turned to his P.R. manager. “My omega said no.”
“Who cares what your omega thinks?! Your-”
“I’m nothing without my omega. I care what my omega thinks and what my omega says go. If her word isn’t enough then mine will be. I said no.”
Silently, Shouto patted himself on the back as he turned, trying to leave for patrol. You would be proud of his newly shined spine.
“Your-”
“Oh, before I forget. ” Shouto turned, facing the manager who was red with rage. It made him smirk. “You’re fired.”
Keigo Takami
Tumblr media
Patrol was rough. Brutal. He couldn’t focus.
He had told you he was more important. He wasn’t.
He was a broken shell of a man. Hawks was this fucking persona he put up, and in that moment those words came from him. Not the Keigo that you dug so hard for. Not the Keigo that you ached for late at night, just wanting to hold him in your arms.
He was blurring the lines between Keigo and Hawks, with Hawks breaking through as the dominant. He didn’t want that. Not at all. He wanted Keigo to still be there. Be there for you.
Fuck this.
He was going to be there for you. Fuck the hero rankings. Fuck the commission. Fuck anything that kept him from you.
Turning around, he ignored any calls of his name, soaring faster than he had all evening to get to you. He could see you through the windows of the balcony (You both lived on the top floor, enough enough ceiling to floor windows looked nice). You were looking ahead of you blankly, wrapped in one of his sweaters. Fuck you looked like you had gone through the ring. Hair messy and eyes blotchy.
You didn’t even look over when he tumbled through the door, literally crawling to you.
Keigo would admit he had never cried since he was six. He was twenty-three now. That was seventeen years.
He would also admit he cried at your feet. Angry, painful sobs that rocked his body and made him hurt. He didn’t care though. He’d do it all for you.
He tried pleading that he was nothing without you. Hollow and empty.
To be fair though, he wasn’t even certain he was doing anything other than incoherent babbles.   When your arms wrapped around him and allowed his wings to cocoon around you both, he figured he made some sense.
For you, he’d go through all the pain seventeen years of hiding would bring him.
---
“Baby bird!”
Keigo didn’t normally call out to you like he found himself doing, but recently, he’s found himself doing a lot of stuff he never imagined himself doing.
Domestic life with you was such a nice feeling.
Having you in his arms every morning, working with you as he got ready for work, watching you yourself get ready for your day. Just you.
You were perfect in everyway and it made his chest tighten with love every time he saw you.
You turned the corner with a smile, waving to him before gesturing for him to follow. He did so with a quirked brow, following you to one of the ex-guest rooms. You were giddy, bouncing slightly in your place with your scent so happy and boisterous it made Keigo purr.
When you decided he wasn’t moving fast enough, you ran back, pulling him forward and into the nursery. His son was laying there, fast asleep in a makeshift mini-nest, bright red wings wrapped around himself as a blanket.
You cooed and held onto Keigo, watching as your alpha picked up your son, holding him to his chest. The young boy merely ruffled his feathers, quickly recognizing the scent and nuzzling into his dad’s chest.
While he went through seventeen years of pain in the span of two, he had you by his side. And now, he had his son. His son which you had gifted him.
He didn’t know what he was thinking back then, but truly no one was more important than you.
And he would take that with him until the day he dies.

The Thought Of Losing You
Word Count: 2,507
Status: Not Requested!
Fandom: Lethal Weapon 1987 {1}
A/N: This follows sort of around the ending of the first Lethal Weapon film where both Riggs, Murtaugh, and Rianne were being tortured in separate ways. I know it sounds brutal, but trust me, it isn't that bad. AND! Happy ending! (Spent all night on this!)
Relationship: Martin Riggs x Reader
Summary: When a team is formed, Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs are solidified together once Y/N is added to the mix, squeezing in perfectly. Although very fiery and stubborn at heart, childish games and teasing became common place for sergeant Y/N and Martin, unable to let the other out-trash their own trash talk. But, when there is a complication during the final breakthrough of the whereabouts of the heroin-trafficking cartel, Y/N is separated from the duo. Only coming together when a kidnapping sends her in a desperate spiral trying to save the people she loves, especially Riggs.
Warnings: violent themes, kidnap, manipulation, torture, violence, language, attempted!self-surrender/suicide, 18+ audience suggested, read at own risk

Strolling around to the back of the supposed drug dealer's extravagant condo, Murtaugh, Riggs, and I engage in light conversation, silently noting and observing our surroundings. Stopping just near the edge of the rather expensive-looking below ground pool, Murtaugh and Riggs catch sight of two brunette women inside. Rolling my eyes, I expect Riggs to do something flirtatious, a painstakingly common reaction to almost every woman he lays eyes on. Every woman... except me. Yet, I pay no mind, Riggs' crazy nature probably too much for me to handle anyway.
Murtaugh flashes his gun, indicating to the women that he is armed. In a flash of a second, just merely after he had shown his weapon, the women duck and run from within the glass-paned wall, just in time for a man to blast a shot from behind. More specifically, the source being a shed occupying the space on the opposite side of the pool we resided on, destroying bits of its siding from the sheer distance and voracity of his attempt of subduing at least one of us.
But, we came prepared, although we were slightly taken aback, Murtaugh's swift abilities with a gun coming in handy as he lands on the drug dealer's right knee, lower thigh area. Splitting off, Murtaugh and I take either end of the pool's side, desperately trying to corral the person of interest. All the while as Riggs takes the women from in the house outside and to the nearest tree, in case of them being suspects as well, handcuffing their wrists together around the tree.
Once the task is done, Riggs hurries over to our aid, following our one, sole purpose: keeping the suspect alive for questioning.
Coming around the perimeter of the pool, Murtaugh reminds Riggs of this rule, replaying it to refresh his sometimes questionable mind. This, however, does not work in our favor as the man pulls yet another gun, this time a pistol, as Riggs had went to pull the man up.
"He's got a gun!" I scream, yet it's all in vain, as Riggs tries to act just as fast as his reflexes would've allowed, lifting the man's aimed arm as the trigger was pulled.
Yelping in surprise, I clench my teeth as the copper red liquid instantly encompasses the injured area, jerking as far away from the incident as possible.
"Y/N!" Murtaugh yells, instantly coming to my side as I go crashing to the concrete floor, catching my head and my left side as I now slowly lean into the ground below me, clutching the stinging injury to the right of my abdomen.
As Murtaugh had come to my side, Riggs took care of the suspect, unfortunately not being able to accomplish our sole purpose of being here, but overall getting rid of the threat.
"Cocksucker," he all but grunts, as he makes sure to shoot the man once more, pissed at the fact that I had gotten shot, although that fact being unbeknownst to me. "I'll call the ambulance," he all put spits out some time later, not making any attempt to check on my well being nor even making eye contact, stalking back through the side gate we had entered through.
//Some time later//
Now nestled safely and securely, I lay within the gloomy walls of the hospital, hooked up with some anesthetics and monitors, all for separate purposes. The stitches surely going to leave an awesome scar, only adding to my aggravation and exhaustion as the day finally settles and the slightest of movements constantly sending sharp pains within my whole body.
The doctors, coming in every so often, had reassured me of a discharge after the course of at least 2-4 days, only needing to ensure the proper sanitary measures are used and stitches being durable and strong without issues or tears.
Staring off at one of the four blank and colorless walls, in a daze, my ears perk up at the sound of a knock on my door, followed by Roger and Martin entering the room.
Handing me a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates, I smile at Roger as he pulls a chair beside my bed, asking, "How ya' feeling, Shortie? How're they treatin' ya' here?"
Giggling at the nickname, I respond with an, "I'm doing just as good as I can I guess. It's not so bad here either. The nurses are nice, although they're all pitiful glances and meek gestures, coming in and out as quickly as possible. I guess bullet wounds aren't their preferred cases?" I joke lightly, trying to lighten the tension in the room.
Roger catches on instantly, having caught wind on Martin's rather uncharacteristically quiet sulking in the far corner of the room. Turning to look at him briefly, he all but shrugs at me as he comes up with no response or solution to his partner's unknown issue.
Checking the time, I make up an excuse, assuming Riggs just didn't want to be here maybe? "Damn, look at the time...It's almost 9 pm guys, don't wanna be late for Trish's cooking do ya'?"
"Shit, really? Come on Riggs, you know the ass whoopin' I'm gonna get? Let's go, minus well feed you too, huh?" Murtaugh says, getting his coat and squeezing my shoulder, giving me a sympathetic look that I swipe away quickly. Riggs just gets up, side-eyeing me once quickly, but above all, ignores my presence and leaves the room. With one final look from Rog, he shuts the door, leaving me to my boredom for the remainder of my stay.
//Some time later//
Having been discharged, Roger had caught me up on the recent news, and how they had left to finish the job a day before I had gotten out of the hospital, that being yesterday evening, and it now being a full 24 hours of no communication from them.
This had struck me as odd, given that they were very advanced in their fields. Finding the whereabouts was the last big hump of every mission, the rest supposedly coming easy. This had all changed as soon as I had stepped foot onto my front porch, a not left hanging slightly within the pocket of my mailbox.
The words shocking me to the core;
"Come to xxxxxxxxxx if you want to save your partners. 8 o'clock. Sharp."
Rushing to my car, I waste no time, pulling out of the driveway and to the given destination, the time being almost too close to the deadline as I preferred it to be.
Once outside of the destination, an old, run-down warehouse stands gloomily in front of me as I slip my gun into the waistband of my jeans. Another, tucked against my ankle within my boots.
I move quietly, staying alert as I enter the warehouse quietly, instantly hit with the cries of what could only belong to Riggs, my heart wrenching. A new feeling that I instantly push aside. Following the pained screams, inching closer to the source, I catch wind of yet another's set of booming cries as well, recognizing it as Murtaugh.
With this new set of knowledge, my heart does another painful flip, as the sheer terror now courses through my veins as if it was my blood. They were the toughest men I had ever known. At least that is how I had always felt, how I feel right now, but with their pained screams, it makes me feel utterly hopeless.
Drawing my gun, I aim it before me, right beside the wall I hide on, lining it up around the corner, my full intention at being able to at least shoot down one of the three men guarding one of my teammates; their identity unknown to me at the moment with the unfortunate dimness.
Taking the shot, I hit one man, the two now swinging to guard the area, looking my direction. The man held captured, Riggs, tied to the ceiling, consistently doused in water, making the homemade shock therapy increasingly unbearable with multiple relentless blows.
"Come out now, Little Rabbit, or I pull the trigger," a booming voice commands, me now peeking out from the corner to see none other than Mr. Joshua, the man we've been after, pressing a firm gun to Riggs' limp form.
Coming out from my hiding space, Joshua motions for his goons to grab me, now taking Riggs off the hook, and into another room. The room we are led to happens to be the room Murtaugh is in, his daughter beside him, both incarcerated and handcuffed. Moving Riggs to the chair beside the pair, he is tied down just as I am, the four of us now completely helpless.
Mr. Joshua, confident and prideful of his work, moves Riggs to the center of the room, starting his interrogation, answering with beatings and threats here and there. The cause: the information given by Hunsaker on his heroin-trafficking cartel.
Just as Joshua leaves yet another powerful blow, Riggs' strength starts to run low, just watching him making me squirm in my chair, wanting nothing but to take him in my arms and drag him as far away from here as possible.
"If you have to kill one of us, kill me. Take me instead, please? Just stop! Stop all of this now," I say breathlessly, doing anything in my will to get their hands off of Riggs.
"What would I want with someone as pathetic as you?" Mr. Joshua answers bitterly.
"Information. That's all you want right? You just want details about the business, you went through all this trouble, and for what? Just to kill us in the end? I know your type. You can't get off without getting what you want, and this would've all gone to waste without it," I respond, determined now.
"So, what do you want? To strike a deal?" I nod. "So, if I let them go, you'll give me what I want?" I nod again.
"Y/N no," Riggs says, now worried about what you're going up against.
"Shut it," Joshua states strictly.
"Y/N, listen to Riggs! You can't do this!" Murtaugh adds, now borderline terrified as everyone in this room is filled with the most important people in his life, all threatened with the only thing that could take them all away: death.
"SHUT IT!" Joshua all but screams now. "Fine. I'll take you up on your little deal. However, you fuck with me, I'm killing them."
"I don't agree with you unless you cut them loose right now, and I am assured that they are out of this building," I say confidently, yet shaking with fear.
He nods his agreement, showing a security camera view from one of his computers, watching as Rianne, Roger, and Martin are all led back outside, handcuffs removed, and all moved into my car, them pulling away from the warehouse.
Pulling the computer's view away from me now, he turns to me sharply, my gaze turning upward as my arms are still strapped behind my back, behind the chair. "Now," he starts, the voice strict like a parent beginning to question a toddler, "The information. What did Hunsaker tell you?"
Taking a breath in through my nose, I exhale through my mouth as I ponder my response, "Just as much as he's told you."
With this, Mr. Joshua lets out a scream, landing a punch to the jaw, my body leaning in on the stitches. Taking notice to my sharp intake of breath from the movement, Joshua uses that to his advantage, grabbing a knife, lifting my shirt, and pressing the cool metal along the line of handiwork. The only thing keeping my skin together at the moment.
"Let's try this again, what information did you receive from Hunsaker?"
"I told you. I. Don't. Know."
"Bullshit!" He digs into the skin, smirking at the cry of agony and shaking engulf my body.
"I-I don't know anymore than you do! Please! He was killed before we got anything from him!"
"Bullshit," he answers playfully now, dragging the blade of the knife wherever he pleases now, enjoying my pleads.
As he opens up my stitched bullet wound, he goes to start at another spot, the attempt being short-lived as a bullet wound of his own goes through his skull, the source standing in the doorway alongside Murtaugh with Rianne tucked under her father's arm.
Crying now, I sigh in relief as Riggs rushes to me, cutting me loose and lifting my limp body. Carrying me to the car, we make our way to the hospital once more.
During the wait and multiple switching of rooms, Riggs stays, waiting for me, only getting up once I emerge from the exit, patched up and clean. He smirks at me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders, leading me to Rog's car, taking us to the only place we find comfort; his house.
//Some time later//
Getting settled in at the Murtaugh residence, Riggs and I share Rianne's room, which was so generously offered as one of the youngest decide to have a sleepover with her.
Looking over at Riggs, he looks at me, covered in open cuts and bruises, dirt and grime, and, taking a first aid kit from Rianne's desk, I make it my priority to get them fixed up.
"What are you doing?" Riggs asks, tiredly amused.
"Taking care of you, it's the least I can do," I reply determined once again.
"Awww! Someone's got a little crush on me huh?"
"Hey! When I finish patching you up, I swear to God I'm gonna kick your ass for making me worry about you," I say jokingly. Riggs replying by grabbing me by the waist and pulling me closer.
Locking eyes on one another now, I couldn't help but joke once more, adding a sly, "Is this the moment that we kiss?"
Giggling, he looks down, placing his head on my chest, murmuring, "I think I'm in love with you and I don't know what to do. I mean, I've been married before, and I- I lost her and I don't wanna lose you too- I couldn't live if you go too, I-"
Grabbing his chin, I tilt his head upwards to meet my gaze, "Look at me, Riggs. Look at me. I love you."
Eyes watering, he leans in for a kiss, my hands finding way to his hair, while his pull my hips into his lap, wrapping lightly around them. After leaning back for air, we giggle once more, leaning our foreheads against one another.
"I never want to ever feel the fear of the thought of losing you again, okay? So don't be a dumbass, Dumbass."
"Yeah, yeah," Riggs answers once more, leaning in for another kiss.

Note
hello! if it’s okay, could i please request a skz reaction where they reject you but end up regretting it because they realized they really you? if it’s too much, maybe a member of your choice? thank you so much! and please do not rush! take as much time as you need!
Hi, thanks for requesting! I made this quite fluffy, but a few are angst and I also did all members because I couldn’t pick just one 😂 I really hope you enjoy!
Chan
Tumblr media
The humiliation was real. Being rejected is more embarrassing that you think, especially when it’s by one of your friends.
You’d had a crush on Chan for a very long time. You’ve just never said anything until now in fear of rejection and, as it turns out, you should have just kept your feelings to yourself.
You couldn’t even look at him as you heard him mutter “I’m sorry.”, nodding your head in responce as it hangs low.
It’s been a few days since then and you’ve not stopped replaying the scene in your head since. Your mind is literally torturing you, making you cringe and you just end up stuffing your face into your pillow in a weak attempt at repressing it.
Just as you’re finally about to fall asleep you hear a knock on your front door, whining as you sit up on your bed before dragging yourself to see who could possible be visiting you.
Your breath hitches when you open the door to reveal Chan stood on the opposite side. He looks nervous, swinging back and forth on his feet impatiently. Your eyes lock instantly and for a minute you feel like you are dreaming.
“Do you believe in second chances?” He breaks the shocked silence, a relieved smile growing on his face when you nod yes, still in a daze.
“Then I’d really like to take that chance. I regretted letting you go without telling you how I really feel.” Chan continues, slowly becoming more confident and bubbly with each passing second.
“I guess you’ll have to tell me now then.” You tease with an elated grin on your face.
Minho
Tumblr media
Minho hated himself for pushing you away. He hated himself for being the reason you are upset. But most of all he hated himself because he is so madly in love with you and he ruined any chance to tell you.
That is until he has an epiphany while moping around. If you won’t listen to him or respond to any of his messages, then he’ll just have to find a way to win you over, a way that you can’t ignore.
“I may not show it often, but you mean everything to me!” Minho shouts up to you from the middle of the street.
It 2am and freezing outside, but he doesn’t care. He’s finally been able to get your attention by throwing pebbles at your window and playing your favourite song on full blast through his speaker, what a cliché moment.
“I’m in love with you.” He shouts at the top of his lungs.
The cheesy grin on your face can’t possibly be hidden. You never thought you would ever see Minho do anything like this. Risking everything just to tell you how he feels.
“I love you too!” You shout back, letting all your worries go and just living in the moment.
“Can you two be quiet!” You hear a voice shout out. One of your neighbours must have grown tired of all the noise.
You both snicker at one another in giddy amusement, feeling like devious kids. Partners in crime.
You signal to Minho that you’ll be down in a minute, rushing out of your apartment and down the stairs to meet him in the blustering wind. Ready to start a new chapter together.
Changbin
Tumblr media
“I never want to be the reason you’re hurting.” Changbin takes your hand in his, pleaing for forgiveness from you.
What had started off as a lighthearted conversation amongst the group had turned sour pretty fast. It all started because Seungmin asked Changbin if he would ever date you in front of everyone. It wasn’t intentional on Seungmin’s part to cause an argument, he thought it was quite a funny question to ask because you and Changbin have been best friends for so long. But when Changbin said “no” without even a seconds thought you were deeply hurt. Was there something repulsive about you to him?
“Then why did you reject me in front of everyone?” You defensively retort. You’re not impressed with him right now, and rightly so. But you can see the genuine regret he feels which makes it hard to stay mad for very long.
“Because I panicked... I didn’t want you find find out how I feel about you like that.” Changbin mumbles, feeling nervous in his confession to you. He knows that he has to be honest with you now because he can’t stand the idea of losing you completely.
“How do you feel about me?” You encourage him to continue, your body language becoming less defensive as you relax your shoulders.
“Like you’re the only person who’s opinion I care about, that you light up any room you enter instantly... that you are the only one I ever want to be with.” Changbin’s words are heartfelt and you can tell it’s taken a lot of courage for him to say them.
“I feel the same about you.” You manage to respond whilst holding back tears of joy.
Hyunjin
Tumblr media
“So I overreacted, I do that all the time!” Hyunjin throws his hands up defensively, his excuse falling on deaf ears as he rants away to Minho.
“But you still rejected (Y/N), regardles of how you feel now.” Minho looks up from his phone to see Hyunjin’s reaction.
“Then what should I do?” He whines, dramatically falling against the table in distress. At least he’d finally stoped pacing the room.
“You go and appologise?” Minho sarcastically states as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Hyunjin just mimickes him, annoyed by his lack of sympathy towards the situation. Though anyone would feel agitated when it’s all Hyunjin has gone on about for the last few days.
You stand in shock having answered the door to reveal Hyunjin and after ten minutes of him apologising and begging for you to give him a chance to redeem himself (a little too loudly for comfort), it’s your turn to speak.
“It’s gonna take a while to redeem yourself, but maybe we can try.” You agree, rolling your eyes playfully when Hyunjin crushes you in a tight hug, repeatedly thanking you for a second chance.
Jisung
Tumblr media
“I did the one thing I promised myself I’d never do...” Jisung sighs in defeat. He can barely look you in the eye as he faces the consequences of his actions.
You’d initially been disheartened when he rejected you, but he was sympathetic towards your feelings and gently let you down rather than being too harsh. You even smiled through the pain and embarrassment, agreeing to not let it ruin your friendship.
But that was almost a year ago now. You have moved on from your crush on Jisung and recently started seeing someone new.
So when he suddenly confesses that he has feelings for you, you aren’t too sure how to react. Initially you feel mad because you feel loke he is messing with your emotions. But the longer you have to process the information, the more you understand where he is coming from.
“I don’t want to be the reason you’re not happy, but seeing you with someone else hurts.” He continues, finally mustering up enough courage to look at you and take in your reaction.
“I don’t know what to say...” You sigh, watching as Jisung takes a deep breath and nod his head. He looks like he is preparing himself for rejection, just like he did to you, and that’s what makes it so hard for you to do.
“Regardless of my feelings towards you, I’m with someone else.” Your chest aches from seeing his solumn face, it’s just as painful being the rejector.
“Can I just know... if I’d not rejected you last year, would I still have a chance?” Jisung’s voice is shallow and weak, his eyes glossy from all the unshed tears.
You can no longer speak, feeling absolutely terrible, so you just nod yes, shooting him a meek smile.
Felix
Tumblr media
Felix holds the cake outstretched in his hands, sending you a pleading smile. “I’m sorry.” He apologises, a hopeful look on his face.
You can’t help but crack a smile, laughing at your goofy friend.
“Felix why do you have a cake?” You raise your brow. Truthfully, you find the whole situation hilarious, only Felix would do something so endearing and sweet like bake you a cake when he wants to make things up to you.
“A good way to appologise is with cake.” He states like it’s a well known fact. “And I was kind of hoping that you’ll love the cake so much you’ll give me a second chance, because I really like you (Y/N).” He continues, catching you off guard. You’d never expected him to change his mind after rejecting you.
“Well, it is a really pretty cake... but are you sure?” You act coy, not wanting to give your feelings away in case he has another change of heart.
“I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.” He admits confidently, an elated grin on his face when you accept the cake and grab his hand, dragging him into your apartment.
Seungmin
Tumblr media
“I will fix what I have broken.” Seungmin is so determined to get you back that he almost sounds angry. Even Hyunjin flinches a little at his words, watching silently as Seungmin marches off to find you.
After having confessed to Seungmin a couple of weeks ago, you hadn’t spoken to him since. You just felt too embarrassed and awkward to face him and so your friendship crumbled.
“(Y/N) we need to talk.” Seungmin comes striding into your work, making the small office fall deathly silent.
“Seungmin I’m working right now.” You whisper, your eyes darting around the room self consciously to make sure no one is watching you.
“But it’s important.” He states, shooting you his best puppy eyes so you’ll give into him.
“Ugh fine.” You cave, ushering him into the empty room next door so you have some privacy.
“I like you.” Your eyes grow wide at his confession. Had you heard him right?
“But... you-”
“I know and I’m so sorry. It made me realise that there’s a part of me missing when you’re not around.” Seungmin anxiously explains. His demeanour has done a 180 degree flip now, he looks timid and nervous as he wait for you to process the information.
“I wish you’d realised sooner, but I guess better late than never.” You tease, feeling your heart skip a beat upon seeing Seungmin’s face light up with the most adorable smile you’ve ever seen.
Jeongin
Tumblr media
“Caught off guard was an understatement.” Jeongin reasons, trying everything he has to get you to forgive him. But he’s the reason you’re heartbroken, he can’t keep playing with your fragile emotions like this.
“No, you had your chance. I can’t believe you have the audacity to make excuses like this. You humiliated me in front of all my closest friends.” You remain strong, your face void of any emotion, regeardless of how difficult it is to see Jeongin like this.
“Just give me a chance to make it up to you.” He begs. It’s almost pathetic how desperate he looks right now.
“Goodbye Jeongin.” You snarl, slamming the door shut in his face. Jeongin stands defeated on the opposite side of the door. He knows this is what he deserves, but it’s never nice to get a taste of what you dish out to others.

She Loves Me Not- Chapter 1-An Owl House Fanfic.
Tumblr media
Willow had had just about enough.
When she first realized Amity's obvious crush on Luz it had been somewhat funny. Seeing her serious and studious childhood friend being turned into a red-faced stammering mess by the human girl couldnt help but cause her to snicker. But after nearly three weeks of seeing Amity practically swoon as soon as Luz so much as gazed in her general direction and her friend still being almost painfully oblivious to her affections, Willow decided something needed to change.
She knew that if she just told Luz about Amity's crush, the witch would personally sic her largest abomination on her. So she would have to help Luz figure it out on her own. Which would be difficult as it seemed like Luz was especially dense when it came to Amity's feelings about her.
Case in point, when Amity leapt up from their lunch table with her face the color of blood and Luz's only response was "huh, guess something didn't agree with her." Willow was tempted to bang her head against the table.
Thankfully, she found the perfect moment while the two of them where walking down the hall and Luz had started talking about a new piece of Azura fanfiction she'd read.
"So then Azura pushes Hecate out of the way and takes the blow from the burning heckhound! Horrified by whats happened to her friend, Hecate is filled with rage and power and defeats the monster with one powerful blast of magic!" Luz swept her arm in excitement, just narrowly missing hitting Willows forehead. She chuckled nervously after noticing. "Sorry. Anyway, Hecate runs to Azura's side and cradles her in her arms. Hecate asks "why would you do that?" And Azura says "I couldn't lose you." Oh, it was just so romantic!"
Willow raised a brow at Luz's word choice. "Romantic?"
"Yeah. I mean, the author isn't really a Heczula shipper but the way they interact in the story just gives such a really strong romantic vibe. I tried telling the same thing to Amity but she said she didn't really see it."
Resisiting the urge to smile at the irony, Willow carefully asked. "So, Amity isn't really into romance?"
"Oh no, she's actually a HUGE Heczula fan. In fact she even showed me some really great fan art she'd done. I actually asked her about working together to make our own special Heczula piece. Marry our skills so to speak."
She could just imagine Amity's response to that. Still keeping her expression as neutral as possible, Willow pressed on.
"Speaking of Amity and romance, has she talked to her crush yet?"
Luz frowned. "No. And I don't know why. I mean, I get that she was afraid of being rejected but its Amity. She's smart, talented, cute. No way someone would reject her."
Okay, Luz calling Amity "cute" wasn't a bad sign. "Maybe its because she's already got a relationship with this person. You know, like a friendship shes scared of messing up."
Luz immediately struck a hand out in front of Willow and they both came to a stop. The human girl gasped like a banshee, practically sucking in air.
"Of course! She's developed feelings for a friend and now fears her romantic attraction will end up damaging their friendship if she reveals it! Its such a common romance trope, how could've I have missed that?!" She gave another loud gasp. "Ogmigosh. I know who Amity's crush is!"
Willow couldn't help but smirk. About time.
"Its you Willow! Amity has a crush on you!"
Willows left eye started to twitch and she internally groaned at her friend once again drawing the wrong conclusion.
Mustering up as much effort as possible, she calmly asked. "What makes you think that?"
"Well it all fits. You two were close childhood friends before suddenly being separated. You've started rebuilding your relationship which probably caused her to realize that her feelings for you went beyond friendship and because things only just started getting better between you she's scared of admitting her feelings because she doesn't want to lose you again!" Luz declared, looking extremely pleased with herself.
Okay, that actually made since. "Yeah. But you know Luz...that could also apply to you too."
Luz's pride turned to confusion. "What?"
"Well, you two only recently became friends after not liking each other and she might not want to mess up your friendship since its so new." Willow said slowly, hoping it would finally sink in to her.
Luz stared at her for a moment before bursting into laughter.
After a round of giggles, she wiped a tear from her eye. "Thats ridiculous. Amity couldn't have a crush on me!"
At this point Willow couldn't swallow the annoyance when she replied. "And why not?!"
She expected to hear "we're just friends " or "we danced at Grom" as Luz's defense but what she said next completely shocked her.
"Amity would never be interested someone like me."
Both the statement and the paradoxical chuckle Luz gave while saying it zapped away whatever anger Willow had at her obliviousness and replaced it with intense confusion.
"What are you talking about? Why wouldn't Amity be interested in you?"
"Because Amity is, well, Amity and I'm me." The way Luz said it, t as if it should be completely obvious, caused Willow to get a twisted feeling in her stomach. Before she could say anything Luz pressed on.
"I mean, Amity's a skilled witch, Hexsides top student, she's planning on being part of the emperors coven one day! Plus she's rich, popular, she makes great fanart. And me? I'm...barely able to do magic. And I can't even do it the right way like you guys thanks to my stupid human organs. I'm not even a real witch. I mean, if Amity had a crush on me, you really think she'd be afraid of me rejecting her?"
Willow just stared at her in stunned silence. She was waiting for Luz to yell "kidding" or say that this was just a joke and she'd known about Amity's crush the whole time. But the bittersweet smile on Luz's face told her that she was completely serious.
She couldn't believe it. Luz, quite possibly the nicest person she knew, the one who tried to help her with a school project at the risk of being violently dissected, the one who'd managed to get past Amity's walls and become her friend, honestly thought that Amity didn't consider her good enough to have a crush on.
"Luz, I'm sure Amity doesn't think that way." Willow argued. "You two are friends now! You have that book club thing you do together! She doesn't think of you as less than her! In fact, I bet if you asked she'd definitely say she would be interested in you!"
Hopefully that would kill two birds with one stone.
"I can't do that Willow. Like you said, things are good between me and Amity. The last thing I want is to scare her off because she thinks I got feelings for her." Luz looked to the side and muttered. "I don't want to end up losing another friend because I pushed too much."
Her voice was so low Willow almost didn't hear her. She couldn't help but notice her use of word in particular. "Another?"
Luz winced, clearly not having wanted Willow to hear her but seeing the look her friend was giving, she began to explain.
"Back at my human school I would sometimes manage to meet people who had some of the same interests I did, like Azura or Anime. We'd talk about it, meet up, it was almost like we were friends."
Luz sighed
"But eventually, I'd do something. Somthing too weird or too much. Maybe even something that ccidentally ended up getting us in trouble. And then...they didn't want to be friends anymore."
The whole time Luz spoke her voice cracked, and Willow noticed a twinkle in the corner of her eye. The defeated expression on Luz's face seemed almost alien compared to her usual beaming face.
"Luz.....".
Upon seeing the sympathetic look on her friends face, Luz cleared her throat, plastered a smile on her face and tried to unnoticingly wipe the corner of her eye.
"But, anyway, thats my point. Amity and I are at a good place and I don't need to go asking her questions that might make her uncomfortable just to make myself feel better."
Noticing that she hadn't managed to ease her friend, Luz added. "Hey, come on, relax. Its not like I don't think anyone could like me But Amity? Trust me, I think she's be a bit out of my league. Now come on, we should get to class."
"You go ahead. I'll catch up."
As she watched Luz walk away, their entire conversation replayed in her mind. She couldn't believe her friend honestly thought that way about herself. She truly thought she wasn't good enough for Amity to like.
Willow knew one thing, still felt like she had before. She'd had enough. She wasn't going to let Luz keep thinking like that about herself. She was going to do something about it.
And she knew just what that something was.
