I just became so immediately endeared to him being a cat person, I had to include Missy in my verse. 🥺💖 He adopts her post-mothening, when he’s supposed to be on lookout for Oswald but… stumbles upon a little stray kitten. Batman finds him playing with her and is like (: Kitty Cat.

I also have him adopt another cat soon after her, but she is still unnamed… but I wanna make her either a tortie or calico!! Missy is very attached to Drury, but the other one loooooves Jonathan and follows him around the house if he’s over.

And then there’s Silkie and all of his caterpillars… he doesn’t consider them pets so much as they consider them his children.

Then there’s Jon!! Once he and Drury finally start dating, Missy and Cat 2 also count as his pets. :3c He likes that Missy looks like a little Halloween cat… I like to think he also has a soft spot for cats, and Drury adopting cats really seals the deal. Catch him grading papers on Drury’s couch with the girls curled up with him.

He also of course has a good relationship with some crows that frequent the fire escape of his apartment. ☺️ One of them probably earning the name Nightmare. He started feeding them and bonded with them so now he has this murder of crows who’ve got his back.

Drury did well with them at first, but after the mothening, his new moth instincts kicked in and he accidentally scared them off with his eyespots… 😭

what if HALLOWEEN MONSTERS X F2 DRIVERS???? vampire pepe, Ghost paul, werewolf (were-bear?) Ollie, siren Jack etc etc.

like I'd imagine Ghost Paul to be kinda like Tate Langdon kind of vibes (Paul and evan peters give me the same vibes somehow) like he would be grumpy and mean that you recently moved into his home (even though he's been dead for like a couple decades now) and he'd constantly give shit as a ghost to you, like move your things, haunt your room, turn the temperature into freezing degrees etc etc. until you realize it's not some evil force it's just a grumpy ghost guy who's pissed off that you're sleeping on his bed. (again, it hasn't been his for like nearly 20 years now). it can either go the fluffy route of just having a ghost companion or a more horror route where there's an actual evil spirit inhibiting the house and it wants to harm and trap you in it so it's Paul's duty to protect you from it.

Vampire pepe on the other hand seems very ironic because he's a very sunshine kind of guy, like he's tan, he's athletic, he's basically the last guy you'd expect to be a vampire WHAHAHAHA but it could work in reverse like you're the vampire that turned him into one and you have to teach him the new nocturnal lifestyle or it could also just go "oh yeah here's my friend pepe he's completely normal except for some odd diet restrictions. oh 50 sheep have gone missing you say? how odd! anyways-" then all of a sudden pepe just shows up on your front door pale and on the verge of starvation and politely asks for a cup of blood 👍😁👍 totally casually

What you're doing is great and I really enjoy it <3 I love the details you put into the characters clothes, the way you draw full bodies and the interesting poses you use, and from what I've seen from that post about ‘gh illustration i did last year for china gh only anthology project’, you’re really talented at colouring too!!! I love the softness of the clothes, and the fluffiness of their hair, I also like the angle with the fence (? The wood thing in front of them) and all the little flower petals!! (i adore flowers and pink is one of my favourite colours!!)

I am exited to see more in general, but what I would love to see more with Mumbo and Grian would be more colouring, (simple but colourful) backgrounds and cute facial expressions! ^w^

i love pastel colors so much, especially the pink aesthetic 🫶🫶 funfact: my circle name (in jp fandom, there’s 2 names used. one is circle name, like sort of publishing name?? and then there’s ther artist name) is 桜かぼちゃ/sakura kabocha which is basically combining my fav aesthetics, sakura with the spring stuff and cherry blossoms; kabocha is pumpkin in japanese, i like autumn and halloween as well

i love drawing, but as time goes, i gradually have less time and energy to put for a piece. full-render piece takes so long now 😭 my life also gets busier as well.

the truth is, i use the gradient style as a ‘cheat’ for myself, to make a piece looks finished without having to render much. my drawing process nowadays involves a lot of short-hands and how fast i can finish something with all my constraint. i do lineart fast, i jump from drawing blue abstract blorb into lineart right away. by doing that, i shaved quite a significant amount of time.

the gradient palette i use is specifically the ukiyo-e gradient palette, which is a gradient palette intended to mimic the japanese ukiyo-e painting style. i mess around with tonal after that and add more effect.

i got a lot of doujin drawing experience from my time in the gintama/ginhiji fandom, would love to one day make a full doujin comic for grumbo, but idk about my time and energy 😭

grumbo honestly have helped a lot with my artblock currently. i’m sort of in a creation rut with gintama since we’re in a waiting period until the new series. i hoard fandoms, so once i got it, i usually don’t ditch them out, especially if i’ve drawn arts of it, so i’m here to stay :>

8: fav season: falllll for sure. everything autumn is so beautiful, the weather is perfect, plus halloween. i usually have the best outfits during autumn bc it's not too hot or cold. also, it's just so cozy! i get superrrr inspired during the fall to write.

12: fav scent: oh GOD this is a tough one. my sense of smell is the most keen and i'm VERYYYY obsessed with scents. i love the smell of the ocean, rain, anything water related honestly. but i also adore the scent of laundry that was hung outside in the sunlight- when it smells fresh and crisp. i also love incense and sage-my house ALWAYS has something burning. and campfires mm. anything smoky>>> also the smell of my cats head. i can't explain it he smells like an angel. i also really like specific colognes like bleu de chanel and caroline herrera's good girl (the perfume i wear!!) but i'm also weird and like the smell of damp basements. i can't pick an all time favorite. it's too hard ;-;

Random TF brainworms

Other TF prompts that have been rattling around in my brain the past year(s), mostly franchise-based:

Slime Rancher 2 - With all the weird future/alien mystery science going on, it's prime free TF-estate. And c'mon, there is NO way Viktor Humphries wouldn't have a way to splice slime DNA for science. A cotton slime-ified Gaius would be so stinking cute.

Speaking of slimes, I was definitely on a slime kick -

Stardew Valley - Basically, story involving getting caught on the wrong end of the witch's temper while cave-delving, and getting a good old fashioned slow-burn curse transforming poor farmer Gaius into a slime. Also plays into my favorite trope of trying to keep the changes hidden - as patches of blue ooze-y spots form around his mid section, he tries to wrap them with cloth to keep it from saturating into his shirt. Plastic wrap is also attempted. Too much clothing is worn during the summer. Hats to cover hair that's more like a jello mold. Close friends who discover the secret using a wheelbarrow to haul the poor unconscious slime-guy home before he puddles all over the Halloween party. Figuring out how to maintain a solid enough form to wear clothes, use tools, etc.

BIG OL FFXIV SHADOWBRINGERS/ENDWALKER SPOILERS BEYOND HERE

FFXIV - Aaaaa there's so much I want to draw and design properly.

The whole light corruption/lightwarden arc of Shadowbringers was absolutely my jam, complete with soul-cracking strain and coughing up light gunk. I'm still not satisfied with my first take on Gaius's lightwarden form. The rough mental concepts: Large and bulky, like Zinogre from MHW. Maybe a semi-quadriped. Hooves on the rear feet. Wings for sure, white mane, gold horns. Blend bull and lion and other creatures.

The thing is I really want to bring a lasting physical representation of the corruption to Gaius's current form. I'm struggling with how to do that. Lots of other WoLs changed their hair white after the events of ShB, but that doesn't fit Gaius. I've been playing with the idea of a glowing scar of some sort, like markings on his neck or maybe chest that he keeps covered. I love using the bandana in his regular fashions and could be a fun way to tie it into his lore.

Throwing in my hella-old Zinogre doodles because I want to capture some of that mid-way feature goodness with Gaius's light corruption.

The whole journey of Shadowbringers is such prime real estate for transformation trauma - budding horns, patches of skin/fur bleaching out, those random soul-crunching episodes as a little more light escapes and furthers the process... All the while having to keep moving forward, despite the quest literally eating him. The other fun part with going sineater is the invisible changes, like a growing craving for aether, and losing the clarity of other senses like physical touch and taste. Gaius's character has always been a boisterous lover of food with a bottomless appetite. It's part of his love language - he makes sure his friends are well fed with snacks and home-made meals. This is something Minfilia/Ryne gets to experience intensely as he does his best to make sure the young girl is well nourished through their travels, and as a way to include her in the family.

There is a whole comic I will probably never get around to drawing, highlighting group meals along their journey - Gaius sharing his travel snacks in Il Mheg, getting her to join them for drinks and a big meal in the Crystarium, forcing a second helping of stew on her in Rak'tika with Runar. But then it comes to a small camp in the Tempest as the Scions overlook the skyline of Amaurot, one last rest before they venture into the final leg of their journey. Ryne is the one who brings a bowl of soup to Gaius, who is sitting apart from the others. The man is already showing extreme lightwarden features which have been spreading since the episode on Mt. Gulg. "I brought you some soup. To keep your strength up," she offers. He turns his one still-blue eye to her and smiles sadly. "Thanks, but I'm not hungry." He wishes he was. He wishes he could still taste anything. He wishes food didn't sit like a rock in his stomach. The look of grief and pity on Ryne's face is obvious.

Just, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. *rolls around in traumatizing-OCs-for-fun brainworms*

I want to tie the whole light corruption in with Gaius's struggle with his Inner Release beast - probably the best and terrible example I could give of what's in my brain is like how Naruto has the fox spirit sealed inside him. Inner Release is a whole other monster or side of Gaius that he harnesses for power, but not without risk of losing himself to it. Like something during the post-ARR banquet breaks it and that's why he takes up Samurai during HW, as a way to learn to control himself with discipline, meditation, and patience. The whole lightwarden thing either corrupts or fuses with his inner release, and maybe he still manifests some features while he's berserking, like vestigial horns and spikes. IDK, still playing around with that. I do think he keeps his hair longer to cover the small gold horns left over from his light corruption, along with whatever other scarring I settle on. Trying to distance himself from the 'beast' is a big long part of Gaius's struggle through FFXIV.

AND AND. I THINK ZENOS GOT TO FIGHT FULL-ON LIGHT INNER RELEASE BEAST GAIUS AT THE VERY END. Where Gaius finally let's himself fully sink into the pit and embrace everything he's kept buried away, that even he is too afraid to acknowledge. Accepting Zenos also includes accepting the entirety of himself, beast and all. Fray would be proud.

hi mod zuzu, i'm the anon who asked for advice getting to SSS for omni basic! really appreciate you taking the time to reply, but unfortunately i still didn't make it... felt like i was really close one time (was finishing with riddle duo against flora on turn 4, enemy had 796 hp left) and the game crashed before scores could load lol i wish i was making this up 😭

in the future, unless i can maybe get dorm vil or smth, are there any options for improvement aside from uncapping one of my cards? im one ssr perfume short rn but i've been debating whether to go all in on dorm riddle and max him out to lv100 once i have enough or if it would be better to uncap someone else to lv85 instead. in the latter case, would you have any suggestions on who to focus on? im leaning towards either dorm azul or one of my event SSRs. thanks again, super grateful for all of your insight!

Aaaaa oh no 😭 I'm so sorry to hear that. The game crashing super hurts too. That has always been a huge fear of mine during exams. I've had instances where either I'm switching from wifi to data or the wifi gets weaker, so the screen would have a popup asking to reset or try loading again.

Honestly, Dorm Riddle, Dorm Leona, Dorm Azul, Robe Vil, and Robe Cater is enough to get you SSS. Obviously, getting Dorm Vil will really improve your chances since it's 4 duos and not 3, but aside from that, it's really all on rng. Your Dorm Riddle and Leona are at 10/10 magic already too.

Since your Dorm Riddle is already Lv.95, I'd personally lean towards uncapping him to 100! Usually, I'd advice prioritizing uncapping event SSRs since they are limited, but you would likely use Dorm Riddle a lot + he's already almost there. After him, though, you should uncap an event SSR that you know you're going to use more often. GM Ace is a pretty useful SSR to uncap, for example~.

If you want, there are plenty of teams that you can try out for Omni basic. Dorm Riddle, Dorm Azul, Halloween Jade, Dorm Leona, and Dorm Vil is a team that I've used a lot in Omni basic joint exams. Regularly, I like to use Dorm Riddle, Dorm Azul, Halloween Jade, Dorm Trey, and Dorm Cater. That way, my two strongest SSRs (Riddle and Azul) have their respective ATK buddies on team. Then of course, if you do manage to get all the needed cards, you can use the legendary team consisting of Dorm Rook, Epel, Leona, Vil, and Birthday Lilia. >:3c There really is a lot of combinations you can use for this team. It's really nice.

Anyways ghost hunters!

Dream didn't believe in ghosts. They were a horror movie plot and that was it. Every bump in the night could be explained by something. The wind, and old house settling, maybe a light night critter stumbling around. Even the really convincing footage he would explain away, trick of the light. It became a game for George and Sapnap to try and convince Dream there was spirits in the after life. It was a month after George moved to Florida officially that the first ghost hunt happened. To avoid showing his face Dream controlled the camera, George had the spirit box and Sapnap had the emf reader. It was some old abandoned hospital still open for "ghost hunting" adventures. The tall streamer just scuffed at his friends and went through the building. Nothing happened. The other two jumped and screamed at every little sound though, which Dream had found hysterical. The video was edited and posted on their shared channel. It got a lot of likes and comments, which inspired Sapnap to set up another ghostly slumber party. This time somewhere genuinely spooky. Or at least so he thought. George whimpered at any unusual sounds and clung to Sapnap while Dream strolled ahead of them. He screamed memes into empty rooms of the abandoned school hallways. This time though was different. A phone rang out in response to his last call making the two smaller friends jump looking every which way for the sound. Dream paused and listened. It rang again and he turned heading straight for the sound at top speed. The two whined as they followed. The air shifting in temp the closer they got. The dirty blonde burst into a vacant room, the only thing inside was a teacher desk with an old rotary phone off the base. It rang one last time when George and Sapnap finally caught up with him. Dream picked it up and inspected it. It was still connected to the wall, holding it up to his head and said hello into the receiver. George hissed at him to stop. Sapnap held tight to the Brit, holding his breath. When the door slammed behind him the Texan screamed and hid his face in George's slim shoulder, clinging tightly.

Dream just rolled his eyes setting the phone back on the base and moving to open the door. It didn't budge. Huffing the taller man walked to the other door that was still open and stepped out into the hallway. No one was around. His best friend scurried after him and he stalked down the halls. The flash light of the camera started to flicker before going out completely. Sapnap stumbled with his own flash light trying to turn it on again to no avail. Suddenly Sapnap screamed jumping into Dreams arms mumbling about something touching him. George also collapsed against the taller man whimpering about being to scared. Dream just huffed and snatched the light from Sapnap, shaking it until it turned on again. Down the hall something moved out of sight which made George basically crawl into his best friends back and told him to run. Getting fed up with all the bullshit Dream, pushed Sapnap and George off of him and moved to the nearest exit. He called them babies the entire trip home. This video was edited by Sapnap and George as they voice overed some of the reviewed video evidence. It took three days to convince Dream to actually let them upload it. He swore he wouldn't do another "ghost video" ever again. That was until Halloween rolled around and Karl came to visit. George, Sapnap, and Karl begged dream to come with them on one final investigation. The bribe was the other three had to do whatever Dream wanted them to do while on the hunt for the paranormal.

Handcuffs. He couldn't stop his wheezing laughter as he handcuffed himself to George and Sapnap with Karl. They split up too with walkie talkies to keep in touch. Karl had a camera while sapnap had the spirit box. Dream had a camera and George had emf. They took two separate wings of the old jailhouse. 5 minutes into the "investigation" Dream locked George in a cell and slipped off his cuff. He was nice enough to leave the screaming Brit a flashlight before sneaking off to scare Sapnap and Karl. What he wasn't expecting to find was the two already locked in a cell and half clothed. They jumped apart as far as they could when Dream asked them what they were doing. Well worth it. He promised they could edit out what was going on in the video before I locking the door for them. When they made it back to George the shortest man huffed ending the call he was in with quackity to bitch about his asshole of a friend.

They continue around the building until daylight started to peak through the old broken windows. Nothing happened except for some practical jokes. They went home. When the reviewed the video several unexplained things could be spotted. None of which convinced Dream. The video was edited and posted the next day. The stans went nuts over Sapnap and Karls dynamic and yelled at Dream for leaving George all alone. They did a Q&A stream about it. Dream was silent for most of it. He did end up making it up to George by getting him a new camera for his streaming set up.

It was almost 3 months later when they dragged the faceless streamer into another stupid ghost hunt. Karl had come to visit his boyfriend Sapnap for the 5 time in the last few months. Jimmy had reached out to the rest of the Dream team and suggested a massive ghost hunt. So that's what they did. The most ghost evidence each team got would win 50k. Not really interested in winning Dream just kinda wondered the halls, jump scaring other teams. George show as his teammate giggled behind him. When they got down to the old cellar they noticed no one was brave enough to check it. George huddled closer to his taller friend bumping into him with how close he crowded . Loud pipes, old vents and creaky floorboards above them were the old sounds they had though. Eventually they turned back to head back upstairs and got lost. For a good 20 minutes. George whined in a panicked voice about not messing around and Dream just grumbled that he knew how to get out and kept stumbling through the spaces. Eventually they came to a head end. George gave his best friend a look, that screamed he was not impressed. The taller man just groaned and gestured the shorter to lead the way. 15 minutes of stumbling around and still no stairs up. Cursing George slumped against a wall dusting spiderwebs from his arms.

They waited for a few minutes in silence, they both tried to reach their friends via text but their phones had no signal. Leaning his head on Dreams shoulder George signed defeated. They waited a little longer. And loud this made the Brit jump clasping his hands in Dream's. Lacing their fingers together the dirty blonde rested his head on top of Georges whispering how he would protect his friend.

It took the group 2 hours to find Dream and George. The two emerged from the basement still holding hands. Chaneler and Chris won by two "encounters". George and Dream went home hand in hand.

It was never told what happened down in the basement, Dream claimed his camera died. But he and George didn't take long to tell everyone about their new relationship. All because of some stupid ghost hunts.

Trace's favourite fairytale isnt anything princess or romance related to be honest, which might come as a surprise considering how romance obsessed he is! His favourite tale is The Ugly Duckling, which is a story that he found a lot of comfort in as a child during the period of time that he was beginning to figure himself out! It's remained a big comfort story to him even now as an adult, and he often reads it during times he feels dysphoric to remind himself that one day he too will be like the ugly duckling, and will be like a proper beautiful swan at the end of his transition!

He doesn't really like the newer edgier retellings of stories though, why fix what isn't broken??? Especially in films omg, he feels that a lot of the gritty or modern retellings just end up feeling very samey and don't end up making that big of a splash, y'know? The girlboss stuff was fine the first few times during these re-imaginings, but seeing everything slowly grow into the same character archetype just has him bored, so he tends to steer clear of newer adaptations!

The original darker tales, like the Brothers Grimm tales, do have his curiosity though! He finds it fascinating how different they are compared to the more modern and child friendly stories he grew up with! The Brothers Grimm version of Cinderella is one that absolutely caught him off guard, what with the toe and heel chopping and then the eye pecking...even though the original source materials may not be the happiest, he absolutely respects them because if they hadn't been written, then none of the other friendlier adaptations would have been made! He'll often read the darker fairytales around Halloween to get into a spooky mood, but sometimes you can catch him reading them elsewhere in the year!

💔 not another SSR Halloween eel..... one can dream. I'm continuing to cling to the hope for Coral Sea event with SSR Jade. Aaaaa but I'm also hoping Floyb gets the SSR for this event!!! Or any of Savanaclaw because they've yet to have a Halloween SSR. :D I've been turning all kinds of characters over in my head trying to determine who might get the SSR (or SSRs if it's more than one). So many thoughts.......

Although I do hope at least one of the eels is part of the cast for the event!!!! Or Azul....... on second thought, they should just put all of the fish in the event (shameless favoritism). (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

Okay hello I have!! A thought n wanted to see if you have any ideas too, since I've been thinking abt it lately & it's making me so happy: what do you think Adam/Lawrence/Strahm's first Christmas (or whatever holiday you want!!) is like? I just like to imagine them having a lot of fun decorating + baking + maybe dancing to music in the kitchen w some wine... just them finally feeling Safe and comfortable now that they don't have to worry about Jigsaw. it's been such a nice thing 2 imagine <3

aaaaa dude.. i love christmas.. i think. like ok i think their technical first christmas is while Adam + Strahm are still on their crusade, so they don't actually spend it celebrating? + they kind of clear out bc Lawrence gets Diana for Christmas Day. but after Lawrence drops Diana back off with Alison, he swings by Strahm's apartment with leftovers and some of the cookies he and Diana had baked together and gifts for them both. bc this holiday is important to him, and so are they. which is.. honestly smthn neither Strahm nor Adam expected? but they wind up all crammed on Strahm's couch watching a beat to shit copy of rudolph Adam dug out of a box marked "holiday" that Strahm didn't even know he had, eating reheated leftovers and messily decorated sugar cookies. and it's not like.. huge or even technically christmas anymore, but its special. its meaningful.

their first christmas post-jigsaw, tho?? oh that's a THING. bc Adam has made good strides in his recovery, Lawrence has too, and Strahm is starting to process things but in general he's in a better place. they've settled into their life together and Strahm's not... festive but you BET Adam and Lawrence both are. Adam moreso in the tacky, i've-pinned-up-mistletoe-and-i'm-gonna-kiss-you-both-every-time, i-bought-you-dollar-store-reindeer-horns way VS Lawrence's more traditional sense, but still. Adam never had people to celebrate with or the means to, but now he does, and he's going to, goddamn it.

I think a huge deal for Lawrence is decorating the tree, it's something he and Diana and Alison always did together, but now it's he and Diana and Adam and Strahm. I think, much to Strahm's chagrin, he is excellent with Diana. not with kids as a whole mind you, but Diana took to him instantly and begrudgingly, he took to her. Adam definitely snaps a picture of Strahm lifting Diana up so she can put the star on top of the tree. Lawrence's favorite moment was definitely when they were sorting out the ornaments and every time Strahm asked her what a specific ornament was Diana would excitedly tell him where/who it was from, what it meant, if it was a character or just a random thing, etc

on Christmas Eve, when Alison has Diana, i really do love th image of them putting on one of Lawrence's christmas music CDs, all relaxing in the kitchen while Lawrence cooks— Strahm and Lawrence have wine, Adam has a hard cider. they eat at the table, and then pile onto the couch once the dishes are cleared up for dessert (usually hot cocoa and a pie of some sort) and a holiday move. It's A Wonderful Life is a regular choice. they'll also usually exchange some gifts, stuff that's more meaningful (they still save some gifts to open with Diana, but that morning is mostly about her! so its usually smaller stuff like clothes, things they've been wanting for around the house, etc) before crawling into bed with an alarm set so they can be up and ready by the time Alison drops Diana off w/ them

also because i can't NOT mention halloween, it is THEE holiday of all time, Adam definitely gets Strahm to dress up with him. it's about a 50/50 shot with Lawrence (Lar will at least let Adam do makeup for him but usually won't dress up) but Strahm can reliably be roped into some sort of costume. Adam's personal favorites have been: Frankenstein's Monster + The Bride (a classic), The Lost Boys sans Dwayne (Lawrence saw David and went "Fine, I will wear a black coat, black t-shirt, and jeans for you but I am NOT doing a mullet" — Strahm was Paul bc he did not feel like being Entirely shirtless in october, thank u Adam + Adam was Marko. freaky little rat twinks unite), Leatherface + Chop Top, and Roy Batty + Rick Deckard (Strahm's suggestion, actually! I think he'd like Blade Runner)

they hand out candy to trick or treaters for a while (or Lawrence does, mostly lol) + then have a late dinner and watch scary movies together. Adam's the biggest Halloween decorator out of the three of them so you can bet their yard is NUTS. inside is too tbh— sparkly halloween garlands, little ghost + pumpkin lights, skeletons hanging on a couple of the doors, etc etc etc; he loves it + Strahm and Lawrence are happy to indulge him

I made an update on my finished Tumblr blog (FINALLYYY), but I also wanted to make a separate post ab it too,,,

So yep, I was very busy! I know that seems like a rlly repetitive excuse, but oh boy, I was filled to the brim with presentations, speeches, exams, etc. I haven’t even been able to update my game haha >>.<<

I was also feeling xtremely sad bcos of all the work, I had basically no time to really relax and recharge,,, so thats why i haven’t really been online as much, things were just crazyyy.

I’ve also felt so bad that I haven’t been able to post anything for Halloween either :(( I hope I can make something for the holidays tho ✨

 And finally, winter break is here! I’m hoping I’ll be able to post at least a lil something for being gone for so long! This is one of the first times in weeks I’ve gotten a decent break, so I wanna make the most of it :)))
