Scarlet Lady Top 10 Favorite Characters: Number 9
for @zoe-oneesama
Number 10 Here
Now let’s be fair about this. This list is subjective and according to my own personal bias. It’s not about who is deserving or who is “Best Boy/Girl”. These are just the top ones I like and enjoy seeing in the comic. My favorites may not be your favorites and I quite frankly don’t expect them to be anyone else’s favorites in the same order or even on the same list at all. And just because someone is not on my list doesn’t mean I don’t like them or that I don’t find value in them.
This is just a list of the characters I like the most and my reasonings as to why. What makes me like them? What makes them stand out? Because Scarlet Lady has a LOT of really great characters who all deserve a shout out, so these are just ten of them that stuck out to me the most.
And while I am at least attempting to value them here on their own merit in the Scarlet Lady comic as opposed to Canon or its many MANY issues or the differences between the two, it stands to reason that at least SOME mention of Canon is going to be made. That said, I am trying very hard to not rate them based on my feelings from Canon but more on how I feel about them in this comic.
And because naturally I like my dramatic moments, I’m going to do the list in descending order from number 9 to number 1.
So without further ado…
…
…
Number 9: Alya
I love Alya in Scarlet Lady. So much so that I feel bad that she’s not higher on the list, but to be fair, she has some pretty tough competition. And it says something when that’s the case because it feels to me like everyone deserves a spot on this list…it’s just that some deserve it a little bit more.
Alya certainly warrants her spot on this list. She was one of the characters with the fewest changes from her setup in canon and yet ended up with such a major and lasting impact that her canon self can’t match.
But if I have to break down the reasons:
1. Alya is a good friend.
When mention is made of Alya being Marinette’s best friend, SL!Alya is the version that comes to mind for me. And honestly, she’s the image I long had and long wished for Alya of canon.
A friend who is supportive in all the right ways. A friend needing her own level of support. A friend who will disagree with you on points but still be your friend. A friend who can make mistakes and jump to conclusions but you can always forgive because you know she would do the same for you.
In Mr. Pigeon, Alya was willing to throw down with Chloe Bourgeois to defend Marinette’s honor and her hat design. And this was only two episodes after Lady Wifi, where Chloe had abused her power to get Alya suspended over a relatively minor infraction that had literally nothing to do with Chloe except that Chloe chose to be offended by Alya’s incorrect conclusion. Sure, it can arguably be for payback (given how keen Alya was to confront Chloe), but let’s be honest here: after being forced into a position where you are completely helpless at the hands of a bully and even authority figures are not willing or able to step in, most people would hesitate to confront the bully again regardless of whether they know they’re in the right. And Alya arguably didn’t have proof at the time that Marinette’s hat was actually her original creation.
And yet, Alya was going to act anyways. WANTED to act. For friendship. For vengeance. Not quite sure HOW she was intending to take down Chloe in this case, but I imagine it would have landed her in trouble again and she was fully willing to do so on behalf of her friend.
And speaking of her friend, remember Alya in Reflekta? She was excited of the idea of Marinette being a hero and part of me thinks she really pushed the “Marinette is Scarlet Lady” angle because she idolized Scar at the time and very much WANTED her to be Marinette—someone she also adores. Having two of her favorite people be one and the same would have been amazing for her! Sadly (or fortunately depending on your view) that was not the case, but Alya still got to have her moments of seeing her best friend as a hero, and her starry eyes sell it for me. As does Marinette later arranging an interview for her as Marigold—something especially important given in this version, one of the two primary heroes simply has no time for interviews while the other wouldn’t give a blog like Alya’s the time of day regardless of how much Alya did to help promote her.
Plus how in Troublemaker, she got the entire class to come to school dressed in Chat Noir gear to show support for the poor catboy and to help protect Marinette after the way her room and her multitude of pictures of Chat Noir were revealed on live television. Just to try and limit her friend’s embarrassment after her privacy was violated and her crush was outted.
See this? This is the friendship I wanted to see in canon. The ride or die. A counterweight. Supporting each other in reasonable and healthy ways. To be able to say with certainty that when the chips are down, they have each others’ backs. And Alya does.
Then there’s the Love Square—and if the change to the setup didn’t already improve how it went, then Alya’s involvement certainly did.
Part of the reason the Love Square struggled in Canon was because of how forcefully it was pushed with such shoddy foundation, and Alya was the biggest pusher. She forced so many situations out of some misguided attempt to “help” that only ended up creating stress for Marinette, cringe for the writing, and no actual momentum on the progress of the pairing. If you want a metaphor, then let’s describe it like this: If the Love Square is an actual ship and if Alya was a tug boat, she wouldn’t have been helping her ship “set sail” so much as dragging it underwater across the ocean and to its watery demise.
But in Scarlet Lady, Alya is supportive and encouraging—and not in the way where she blows off Marinette’s anxieties or Adrien’s obliviousness and forces them both into a position they’re clearly not ready for only to turn around and be annoyed that it didn’t work out.
No, she was aware of Marinette’s feelings and interests to the point she recognizes Marinette has a small crush on Adrien even before the girl herself did. She also seemed to be aware of Adrien’s crush on her. So knowing this, she tried to help nudge things along. Note I said “NUDGE”.
She knows a spark could be there. So when Alya had an opportunity, she helped to set things up in a way that would give Marinette and Adrien time together to explore that. Not to confess. Not to date. Just opportunities to be together, interact, and see what happens.
Heck, it feels at times like she’s more of Adrien’s wingman than Marinette’s. Especially given the whole bit in Stormy Weather, which remains to date one of my favorite strips of the entire series. Alya was the reason Marinette even made it there in the first place. And when she was picked for the modeling spot, she still tried to influence things to let Marinette take over. Similar to canon, yes, but a notably better feel to it. Better humor. Better outcome.
Which is ultimately what a friend should be trying for. For ALL of her friends.
And by the end of the comic, I can say that Alya is a friend to not just Marinette, but also Adrien and Alix and the other classmates. Yes, even Lila. Which says something given how much she initially despised Lila for the fake interview and how long she held that grudge against her. Going from outright dislike to grudgingly hanging out with to swallowing her pride and giving a real chance to actual collaboration on revealing a major truth.
Now that’s progress.
And speaking of progress…
2. Journalist Has A Point
Look, many a story will have THAT character. You know the one. Whether a detective, journalist, or conspiracy theorist, THAT character is devoted to uncovering the truth, whatever it may be—and usually in the form of plot-relevant secrets and useful information.
So one of the biggest disappointments you can create is having such a character
with all the drive and reasoning to investigate be in a prime position to uncover a major plot point, in which you give them all the resources and all the motivation to make the discovery…and yet have them do nothing.
Or worse, have the truth spoon fed to them instead when it’s convenient. No effort. No drama or antics. No surprise. No real reaction to the revelation. Just take away all the fun why don’t you?
Alya is a major fan of heroes and a journalist in the making. When these things mix, you have a ready-made source of humor and drama in a character with the dual position of he hero’s best friend who doesn’t know her secret and a wannabe investigator who risks discovering the hero’s secret. Normally, such a position would involve a number of antics over a multitude of episodes, with the friend being in a prime position to out the hero and the hero having to regularly come up with ways to distract and mislead the friend in question in order to protect the secret.
In canon, we get all of two episodes that even play with this setup. Two in the four seasons it takes for Marinette to just blurt it out to Alya. Lady Wifi and Pharaoh. That’s it. And of those two, Lady Wifi had Marinette completely unconcerned with Alya’s claim of knowing Ladybug’s identity. No drama. No conflict. No antics. No attempts at misdirection. No introspection or question if maybe revealing the city’s hero is even a good idea. No internal questioning if Alya should be told the secret—if she’s trustworthy or if she would be in danger. No continued attempts to uncover her identity as if Alya had just gotten bored with it. Nothing.
And if you know anything from my previous essays, you know that few things frustrate me more than having a great setup that practically writes itself and doing NOTHING WITH IT.
In Scarlet Lady, that setup is nixed from the start since Marinette didn’t start off as the hero. Instead, what we have is a situation where Alya idolizes the self-proclaimed hero of the city, completely ignorant to the truth that we as the audience were already immediately made aware of: that said hero is Chloe and she is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!
Marinette is aware of her being horrible. Adrien is FULLY aware of her being horrible. WE all know she is horrible. But Alya, like most of the city, is enthralled and supportive of her as the “Hero of the City”.
This change immediately created a whole new setup. Where Alya is a fan of a hero while being ignorant to that hero’s true nature. Where WE know and even other characters in the show know, but it’s impossible to convince anyone else of this truth. I’m sure you all know what it’s like watching any character in that sort of situation. It hurts. But not as much as it’s bound to hurt her by the end.
And indeed it does, as it kickstarts what initially starts off as a funny setup where Marinette and others stay quiet and try to be supportive while inwardly cringing as Alya creates and manages a blog dedicated to the worst person ever sans Hawk Moth and Gabriel Agreste.
Adding to this is that said person won’t give Alya or her blog the time of day. Chloe has no respect or appreciation for the level of commitment Alya has or how much Alya helped her to get her fame, and even calls Alya a “stalker” at one point. (Not that she’s technically wrong to be fair, but bear with me.) This is a testament to Chloe’s view of heroism as a whole and her expectations regarding the treatment she should receive. Nevermind that Chloe’s initial rise to the spotlight was in great part because Alya was the one to put said spotlight on her in the first place. Chloe doesn’t acknowledge favors, only what she is owed.
This puts Alya in a difficult position. Unlike Canon, she doesn’t have the support of a hero to promote her blog. She is a teenager with no preexisting status as a reporter and no real connections or backing for people to take her seriously. And in a world of already established media and tons of fans like herself no doubt also trying to make names for themselves in similar niche areas, she has nothing to really make herself stand out. What ends up working for her is the live footage she gets of the akumas and the battles, which is exceedingly dangerous and puts Alya in danger. But to her, it’s worth it to be able to enjoy her two passions.
It is painful. It HURTS me to see Alya so devoted to someone who I know full well doesn’t deserve it and it hurt even MORE to see how Alya was finally forced to face the truth. Her reaction was real. Her difficulty accepting the truth that we all knew from the start and that Alya could have (and probably should have) picked up on as a journalist if she only investigated everything outside of the “Heroes WOW” light.
But this doesn’t make me look badly upon Alya. It’s not entirely her fault. It’s reasonable that Alya wouldn’t have known. Given Scar’s refusal to work with anyone outside of publications that “meet her standards”, Alya hadn’t gotten to interact closely enough with Scar to really see her “in action” so to speak. Not for some time.
Alya does ultimately end up finding the truth, but it’s not the one she initially went searching for. What started out as a love for heroes mixed with her interest in journalism slowly turned into a realization of what heroism actually is and who the true heroes are…and aren’t.
And with this realization comes a new outlook, new alliances, new goals, and a new plan to reveal the truth about Scar and just who is really the hero or the “sidekick” in the heroes team.
This here? This gives Alya purpose. It also emphasizes her role in the story and the impact she has. Because over time, the thing that most showed her flaws and ignorance became a major strength—AND ended up benefiting the city as a whole.
She was the only person who actively tried to help Chat when he was on the run in Copycat and gave him the info to know what was going on and who the true culprit was (especially important because Adrien had NO way of knowing what was going on or why he was being framed and Scar certainly wasn’t going to help).
She gave Lila and others a chance to share their stories that otherwise never would have been told. Especially notable given Alya’s initial dislike of Lila for her lies, something she continued to hold a grudge over for a long time after.
And as a result, she is a major contributor to Scar’s declining popularity as she helps spread the truth. Which adds a nice bit of irony to the situation that the little blog that gave Chloe her start and that she ignored ended up becoming something so major that it destroyed her narrative.
Alya had been seeking the truth, been blinded to it, struggled to accept it, went out of her way to confirm it, and then shared it. Maybe it’s not as impressive as taking down the akumas directly, but it has a much greater overall impact on the story and helping get some of that sweet sweet karma we’d all been waiting for. And best of all, she does the one thing that many of us have also been wanting for Canon: to have SOMEONE investigate Hawk Moth and realize the puzzle pieces are pointing at Gabriel Agreste.
If only she could have confirmed it a little sooner…
3. Alya as a Person
Alya is a teenager. She is a teenage girl and that shines in Scarlet Lady.
We see her PUMPED at the discovery of heroes in Paris. We see her genuinely EXCITED over the prospect of being a hero. We see her flip her focus and be SERIOUS over serious and not so serious things. We see her unapologetically and hilariously reject Adrien’s pleas for a trade of jobs only to be a hypocrite and turn around and beg him for the same. We see her get terrifyingly ENRAGED at Nino for changing her script without discussing it with her. We see her be PETTY and RESENTFUL over falling for Lila’s lies. We see her be IN LOVE after Animan. Plus how could I not love her sheer GLEE over getting to face off with Nora?
But what really made me love this Alya and put her leagues above canon is her growth. Growth that she didn't really get in Canon. And a lot of that growth was evident through her discovery of the truth that was right in front of her and how she had gone so long without seeing it.
And when she is finally hit with the reality that her hero is no hero and that she was wrong? It’s hard. No kid wants to admit being wrong about anything, but especially not about a belief like that. Not the idea of heroes and not over your hero specifically. Especially when you realize you spent so LONG devoted to something only to find out you were wrong, other people knew, and you could have/SHOULD have known had you really tried to look.
And Alya….did NOT take it like a champ.
Denial was the name of the game. But her growth came in acknowledging that she was wrong, WHERE she went wrong, and taking steps to move forward with what she knew. Not by doubling down and demanding “evidence” that should have been easy to find if she just looked, but by investigating the truth even if it’s one she knew she wouldn’t like. And even if it involved things she didn’t want to do. To this end, she made up with Lila and the two actually ended up working together to change the tide of public opinion against her over time.
Let’s note that: She went back on her earlier promise to herself, forgave and worked with someone that she disliked, and let go of her own pride and resentment in order to get to the truth that she originally never wanted to acknowledge.
Alya in Scarlet Lady plays more of a role in the series than she did in Canon. She wasn’t just “Marinette’s best friend” and “Ladybug fangirl” or a tool or prop for setting up certain scenes where Marinette suffers or Adrinette is given a half hearted attempt.
Alya is her own person. She disliked someone the others like or come to like. She adored someone the others and even we as the audience couldn’t stand. She stood up to her sister for herself and with the backing of her friends. She was silly at times for all that she tried to be serious and mature. She was oblivious and opinionated. She was wrong about a core issue to the story.
And that was perfectly okay.
Not because the narrative said so. Not because anything she did was hand waved. Not because Marinette or anyone else was thrown in as a scapegoat to distract attention away from her.
But because Alya is a well-written character with a personality that makes her a PERSON rather than a prop. Which makes her development into a hero feel rewarding rather than an obligation.
4. Alya as a Hero
Okay, Sapotis in Canon wasn’t bad. It worked as a new hero episode. It worked as the FIRST new hero episode. It made sense for Alya to help corral her sisters. I loved Trixx and his subtle means of testing Alya. It also had Alya getting some personal development as she changes from her initial stance of wanting to reveal her identity as a hero to knowing when to keep some truths hidden.
The problem is that lesson didn’t really stick as Alya goes on to demand a truth from Marinette that isn’t her right to know, try to force Marinette to tell a truth when she isn’t ready to reveal it, and betray Marinette’s trust and reveal the secret just to make things easier for herself and her relationship with Nino.
Gotta say, not impressed with Alya as a hero in Canon. Especially given how much the narrative had gone out of its way to keep portraying Alya as being in the right in each instance she was involved in regardless of what she actually did.
Then there’s the matter of the issue of her getting the Fox Miraculous after everything that happened with Lila and the complete LACK of Fox Vs Fox/Alya VS Lila/Truth VS Lies setup that such a setup would have been primed for. And if they weren’t going to do that or even anything with Alya and Trixx, then what was the point of giving Alya the Fox? There was just really nothing else that came out of a truth-seeker like Alya getting a Miraculous specifically involved in setting illusions and how that could develop her character.
@punchlord has already done multiple evaluations of the characters and Miraculous and which ones would best/least fit and why, and has done so much more detailed and eloquently than I can really offer here. Instead, I want to focus on SL!Alya and the changes Zoe made.
Here’s the thing: we all knew going in that Zoe was going to follow Canon for the most part. She admitted as such. We also knew that some kwami-swapping was bound to happen as a result of the changes to the world. Chloe gets the Ladybug. Marinette gets the Bee. Sabrina was bound to get something at some point that wasn’t the Dog. And yes, Lila too.
But NONE of us were expecting that Alya and Nino would swap their Miraculous AND their hero episodes!
And it worked. It worked so well.
Koki Marina is an awesome hero with such a stand-out look. And the one image of her playing with her fluffy hair always makes me smile.
The changes Zoe made vastly improved the Anansi storyline. Nino deserved his own hero episode that wasn’t just focus on him secondary to an issue for Alya and ultimately accomplish nothing on his own while someone else solves the problem for him...twice. And Alya deserved to be the one to deal with Nora and take control of her life.
The thing is, this was an episode with a lesson that was misplaced. Misplaced andmishandled, much like many episodes in the original series.
In Anansi, the biggest problem wasn’t that Nino couldn’t prove he could protect Alya, it was that Nora was overstepping on Alya’s life in the first place, especially when it wasn’t necessary. She didn’t consider that ANYONE ELSE could protect Alya—even the heroes when it is their job to fight the akumas.
But more specifically, she wasn’t willing to consider that Alya could protect HERSELF. Especially of note considering that by this point in both versions, Alya had been running around and getting involved in the fights with the heroes for blog views. And in Canon specifically, Alya had already been a temp hero—I was surprised and disappointed that Alya didn’t argue more and struggle with NOT revealing that fact in the episode. But I digress…
If Alya was to get a hero episode, this was the better setup for it. And Zoe saw that and provided us that sweet sweet payout, with Alya proving herself and helping to take down her older sister. And just the absolute GLEE she had in doing so. The sort of glee you’d see in any younger sibling getting a chance to take on and show up their older sibling. All the younger siblings out there should know it.
Plus her and Wayzz bonding, omg they are so cute.
While Canon Sapotis was decent (if not a bit frustrating with the lack of lessons for the twins after all their antics), in my view, SL Anansi actually HIT in all the right ways and felt more satisfying overall in comparison as Alya’s hero episode and ESPECIALLY in comparison to the Canon Anansi itself.
It’s a good episode with a stable episode-centric arc, where the conflict starts with Alya NOT really being able to face down Nora alone and only manages to overpower Nora in an arm wrestling contest because her friends back her and take on Nora in a 4 on 1 match and overpower her together. This is highlighted later in the episode when Alya faces Nora alone to buy Marigold time and is shown to struggle. Then gets the power boost through the Turtle Miraculous that lets her effectively take her down save her. Cough. Yes. Just save her.
It’s a very empowering story for Alya. But it plays a bigger role than that, too. It’s not just the start of Alya being a hero, it’s also the point where she really starts to turn things around in terms of the overarching story of the comic.
This episode is the follow up to Sapotis, where the other characters are having a sleepover partly to look after the younger kids but also specifically to try and support Alya as she comes to terms with the realization that her hero is a fraud. Yes, Alya already knew that Scar was horrible by the time Anansi happened, but actually being a hero and having to work with Scar gives her an up close and personal look at how Scar treats the other heroes and how much—or rather little she actually does in a crisis.
It’s also the point where Alya seems to gain more confidence and also direct her reporting to a better end. And by the end of the episode, we really see Alya starting to use her skills to this purpose. This is when we get to see Alya actually BE the journalist she wanted to claim she was.
This? Right here? This goes to show that not only does Alya herself make a great hero, but that becoming a hero helped Alya improve herself as well. Which is something we should be seeing more of in such stories with teenagers gaining superpowers.
So all that being said, SL Alya succeeds where her Canon counterpart fails. The narrative points out when she’s wrong. She learns lessons. She is silly at times and acknowledged to be silly. But through it all, she retains the heart that makes her a good friend and the passion that shows her to be not only a journalist, but a HERO in the making.

hey everyone I'm happy to introduce to you
Frenglish differences in miraculous
which is a series where I'll be highlighting the differences between the French and English dubs of the wonderful show that is Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir
I've always watched the show in its original language and I really recommend doing so but I recognise that it isn't necessarily doable depending on the subtitles people have available to them and the fact that they might be based on the alternate dub rather than a translation of what is said in French, so I thought I'd do this as a way to both show the differences and the things that people might miss, as well as sharing some interesting facts I've noticed! I'll be making one post per episode, with for each notable difference what is said in English, what is said in French with my translation and sometimes a little comment from yours truly 😌
I'll have to make a few disclaimers as I always do with these things so here are the main ones:
I have done this (rewatching and recording the differences) a looong time ago so I might have changed my opinion on a few things since then, although I'll try to go over and correct if really needed
I didn't actually watch it in English (sorry I really don't like watching dubs) but I instead used the subtitles available on Disney+ which seemed to be an accurate transcription of the dub. however if I've made any mistake feel free to point it out! it also means that I only focus on the text and not the delivery of the lines
I kept the translation of the original french voice acting quite literal and I am in no way competent in linguistics (women in STEM 🫡)
I've only done this for season 1, as I believe fandubs are available for the further seasons but if people are interested I might do the other ones, however I don't have access to legal streaming services with subtitles anymore so it might be a bit more complex for me
I'm not pointing out every single difference because some are uninteresting or just due to simple language differences, but only the ones I personally found interesting/relevant
I didn't include things that happen in every episode (aka the theme song or transformation phrases), but I might do a separate post for them if anyone's interested
I think that's all? hope you guys enjoy! I'll be linking the posts as I release them for each episode:
Stormy Weather / The Bubbler / Mr Pigeon / Copycat /Timebreaker / Pharaoh / Lady WiFi / Rogercop / Evillustrator / Horrificator / Dark Cupid / Darkblade / The Mime / Animan / Puppeteer / Princess Fragrance /Gamer / Reflekta / Pixelator / Guitar Villain / Antibug / Kung Food / Simon Says / Volpina / Ladybug and Cat Noir / Stoneheart
#frenglish differences in miraculous#miraculous ladybug#ml dubs#ml french dub#y'all asked for it i'm finally delivering after all this time lmao#idk yet at what frequency ill be posting since i have like only a 3rd of the posts formatted and my classes have started again so we'll see

i find it really strange when people who are critical of chloe have no problem with sabrina’s rushed redemption arc. their main excuse is “she has low self-esteem and didn’t know how to face chloe” makes absolutely no sense. like sabrina was not being held at gun point. she could choose to oppose chloe at any time and never did, instead always helped her when needed.
---
I think the dichotomy of perpetrator and victim is a big factor in the fandom just forgetting how much bullying Sabrina has participated in. There's this idea that you can only be the one: harming others or the one being harmed, even though, even in real life, there's often a lot of overlap between victims and perpetrators. Just because Chloé also bullies Sabrina doesn't mean Sabrina can't bully others or her bullying of others is an extension of Chloé's actions instead of her own.
The fact is that, in the earlier seasons, Sabrina enjoyed being a bully. She was positively giddy about locking Juleka in the bathroom during the photoshoot in ‘Reflekta’ and she was very smug when she and Chloé were making all those girls cry in ‘Dark Cupid’. Like, the early seasons had this more nuanced take where it's clear that, while Sabrina isn't an equal in the relationship with Chloé, there are perks to being Chloé’s friend she enjoys. She herself voices an access to high end fashion items that she gets to borrow from Chloé and, considering this self esteem issue, she probably also felt powerful stepping on others.
But they needed someone to hold the Dog Miraculous so they had to turn her into purely another victim of Chloé’s. And the fandom is always ready to buy into victim narratives (as long as it's bully victims and not abuse victims), so it was easy to accept. The unpredictable release schedule and people rarely rewatching shows also means that people might not even remember what Sabrina was like in those early seasons.

What are your General Headcanons and Relationship Headcanons on The Bubbler?
Ooo interesting question! And good timing too, with season 6 starting to come out I can just feel the miraculous brain rot returning lol. But anyway, Bubbler!
•He’s Adrian’s ride or die, like Bubbler always has his back and hypes Adrian up whether he wants it or not.
•Like anyone who has beef with Adrian now also has beef with Bubbler because he’s not going to stand for anyone being mean to his Best Bud.
•Probably reaching Marinette levels of knowing where Adrian is and always being around him. Similarly he’s also at least a little in love with Adrian (I mean really what else is the justification for ‘my bestie doesn’t get a birthday party so I guess I’m just going to kill every adult in Paris’?)
•Would Not get along with Wayhm/Party Crasher, he’d definitely see him as both competition for Adrian and also just super annoying.
•That being said I don’t think he’d have issues with Marinette the same way since she’s just sort of part of the friend group anyway. Plus I don’t think Nino was aware of her crush on Adrian that early in season one considering one of the subplots in Animan was Nino telling Adrian HE liked Marinette.
•I think he’d get along well with the other Akumas from the class, some more then others of course. Like Stone Heart and Evillustrator probably aren’t really ‘fun’ enough for him to want to hang out with, but people like Princess Fragrance and Timebreaker would party with him.
•Lowkey would be kinda funny if Dark Cupid was the first one to pick up on the whole Bubbler being in love with Adrian thing. Like he just has a sixth sense for these things.
•Cause to be clear I don’t think Bubbler is really aware of that fact. Like he’s just like “isn’t everyone a little in love with their bros?” It just doesn’t register as an actual event.
•Cue Princess Fragrance trying to play matchmaker and get them together, likely roping in Reflekta and anyone else she can to help.
•Which then leads to an awkward and hilarious Marinette/Dark Cupid/Chloé team up to try and stop Princess Fragrance’s efforts since none of them want Adrian dating Bubbler.
•Think like the Marinette Chloé team up from Animaistro but with the added chaos of Dark Cupid having no chill.
•Unrelated to any of that but Bubbler and Miracular would be absolute besties. Like same Akuma different font almost lol. They each just have their Silly Little Guy (Adrian and Chloé respectively) and want to hang out with them all the time! Is that so wrong?
•Bubbler would still try to stay in contact with Chris a bit, but I think he’d cut their parents off entirely. Like I don’t think Bubbler interacts with any grown ups unless it’s like completely unavoidable. Which big oof for the family and definitely rough for Nino to try and fix after the fact.
•He barely tolerates the other Akuma parents, and definitely doesn’t understand why the likes of LadyWifi, Miracular, Horrificator, Gamer, and Reflekta still want theirs around. (Animan, Rodgercop, Mime, StarTrain (though I guess she really wouldn’t be around much), and Captain Hardrock and Guitar Villain respectively)
•He does not care for Lila/Volpina either, he clocks her advances towards Adrian immediately and isn’t having any of that.
•Similarly, Bubbler sword fighting Riposte. (He does not win)
•He thinks he’s great with the little kids, I mean he’s a terrible influence obviously but at least he’s fun. I think he’d use his bubbles to make a big bouncy castle for Puppeteer, Sapotis, Sandboy, Risk, Chris/Christmaster, all the little gremlins lol.
•Still has the Nino/Rocketear trait of thinking Chat Noir is a loser, but that’s more from a general Akuma dislike of the heroes then anything else. Though it would be kinda funny if since he never sees Adrian around when Chat Noir is there that he figures Adrian is the one that doesn’t like Chat and so that’s why Bubbler extra hates him. Best bro solidarity.
Hopefully this answer works, I just sort of came up with stuff as I went

Categories: OTP/One True Pairing, Love, Like, Good, Don't Mind, Eh, Dislike, and Hate.
I remind everyone that these are simply my own opinions. If you don't like it, then that is your choice. These are simply the ships that I like and don't like.
OTP/One True Pairing: Luka/Adrien- I love these two as a ship so much! Luka's calm and relaxed personality would totally balance Adrien's organized, stressed, and chaotic personality that he has from being Gabriel's son and Cat Noir. Plus, I feel that Luka would help give Adrien the confidence to stand up to Gabriel while Adrien would be the shoulder that Luka would need so that he did not need to be everyone's therapist.
Nathaniel/Marc- They're adorable in so many ways! When Marc was dragging Nathaniel to the stadium in the Penalteam episode has to be one of the cutest things I have ever seen on the show. It's also really cute how the two of them fit together so well. They are both so shy but opened up once they discovered all they had in common. They would be the power couple of comics! An artist and a writer is such a cute artistic pair!
Juleka/Rose- Another really adorable pair! The two obviously care a lot about each other. Especially with how Juleka was one of the few people who knew about Rose's secret illness. Plus, Rose was also really sweet about wanting to help Juleka overcome her photo curse back in the Reflekta episode. Plus, they show that two people who look so different can still get along great. Rose is all pink and cheery while Juleka is goth and shy. They are literal opposites, yet get along like peanut butter and jelly.
Jagged/Penny- They went through their own journey as characters and people. Jagged first comes across as an arrogant celebrity with Penny as his "yes, sir" assistant. But, then we see how the two of them really do have a special bond. They care about each other a lot. Plus, when Penny was understandably stressed from work during the Troublemaker, Jagged grew to understand her more. They have more than just a "boss and employee" relationship. Penny is also an adorable second mother figure to Luka and Jagged.
Tikki/Plagg- First, I love their nicknames for each other! Tikki is "Sugarcube" and Plagg is "Stinky Sock." While they do sometimes appear like siblings, they also sometimes act like an old married couple. Plagg gives me vibes of being the cheerful and fun side of the relationship with Tikki being the responsible "voice of reason" side. They balance each other in every sense, which really makes them even better for each other.
Love: Adrien/Kagami- These two have so much in common. From their love of fencing to their desire to step away from the forceful hands of their parents. The two brought out a lot of good things about each other. Kagami helping Adrien realize how awful his dad's treatment of him was and Adrien helping Kagami embrace her artistic side even when her mother doesn't approve of it.
Alya/Nino- Probably the least problematic couple on the show. Once they spent time together while locked in a cage during the Animan episode, they found out how much they had in common and how good they would be together. Nino might have had his moment of jealousy when he thought Cat Noir was flirting with her, but both have had plenty of moments where they showed how much they cared about each other. During the start of the Scarlet Moth attack when both were promising to take the other to the movies once everything was over, it was adorable.
Luka/Kagami- Another pair that would be all about balance while also sharing a lot in common. Both of them have such calm personalities. They would definitely be one of those couples that could happily sit together quietly for hours while simply enjoying each other's company without the need for constant talking. They both also have senses of elegance about them. Kagami with her fencing and Luka with his music. Luka would certainly also help Kagami relax her "I need to be perfect" train of thought.
Tom/Sabine- They are the definition of a healthy marriage. There is not a moment that is not completely sweet when they are together. They are probably the best parents on the show with how much they both obviously love Marinette. While a little cliche, it makes sense for the owners of a bakery to be as sweet as sugar.
Adrien/Nino- I am a sucker for friends-to-lovers stories. While Adrien and Nino are definitely great friends who give off big "bro" vibes, they would also make such a sweet couple. Nino has already made it clear how much he cares about Adrien given how often he tries to help him stand up to his dad. Especially when Nino tried to get Gabriel to let Adrien have a birthday party in the Bubbler episode. Adrien has also shown Nino support when he needed it, such as going with him when he was on The Challenge show in the Simon Says episode.
Like: Kim/Alix- These two have such a fun dynamic. They would be one of those couples that like to compete with each other but also would have a very nice relationship. Plus, their height difference would only make their relationship even cuter.
Sabrina/Chloe- Given actual character development and they could be a good couple. When Chloe had been trying to get better, she did show that she was protective of Sabrina. Such as when in the Ladybug episode, Chloe shielded Sabrina from the scarlet akumas. We also saw in the Miracular episode that the two did have a sweet friendship before Chloe got even more toxic. It would have led to a very sweet friends-to-lovers story.
Ivan/Mylene- Another of the most solid couples on the show. They were the first teenage couple on the show, actually, since they were brought together in the Origin episodes. And they have always been shown to be incredibly sweet. Mylene's nickname for Ivan, Teddy Bear, is very adorable! Plus, Ivan is also shown to be incredibly protective of Mylene.
Kim/Ondine- Kim is the loveable idiot while Ondine is basically his brain. The two are a great match with Kim's energy and child-like attitude balanced by Ondine's seriousness and maturity. Plus, Ondine helps Kim grow as a person when she helps him realize how harmful his past actions have been against Marinette. Not to mention also helping him see that jokes are better if everyone is laughing rather than just him.
Adrien/Plagg- Obviously, I am thinking about this with the headcanon of kwami having human forms. If that were true, then the two of them would make a cute couple! Plagg would help Adrien embrace his more chaotic side while also helping him stand up to those like Gabriel, Lila, and Chloe. Adrien would also help Plagg find a balance between his love of chaos and a more sensitive side.
Luka/Nathaniel- Two artists being together would be nothing short of adorable and cute! Luka's calm and gentle personality would fit very well with Nathaniel's shy and quiet personality. I can already picture how adorable it would be for Nathaniel to be leaning against Luka and sketching while Luka would be playing a soft melody on his guitar.
Adrien/Nathanial- I mostly enjoy these two together because of my headcanon that Adrien is a big anime fan. Given that Adrien did pose for Kagami when helping her with her art, he would definitely do the same thing for Nathaniel. Plus, it would be really cute for them to have moments where they are simply in a comic book store and geeking out over finding comic books they enjoy. And given his love of anime, Adrien would certainly want to help Nathaniel with his comic. It gives Adrien a chance to be himself rather than being the "perfect model" while giving Nathaniel the chance to open up by being with such a bright and cheery person.
Rose/Prince Ali- It's the little details that make these two work. Since learning that Rose has an unknown illness, it made even more sense why she admires Prince Ali for his charity work. Because charities like his probably were a bright spot in her life when her illness was worse. Plus, being with Rose would give Prince Ali a break from royal life when Rose would show him how to live like a normal teenager rather than always having to act like a prime and proper prince.
Adrien/Nathaniel- Two adorable boys who both have different kinds of shyness. Nathaniel is the usual kind of shy while Adrien is more the kind of shy where he is socially awkward, which leads him to not be as open as others. I headcannon that Adrien is a big fan of anime, which would give him something in common with Nathaniel. It could also allow Adrien to help Nathaniel with his comics and art. Plus, despite not being a designer, Adrien would have been around the fashion world for long enough to help Nathaniel with the designs of some of his creations. Also, maybe give him some fashion advice so that Nathaniel would STOP WEARING THOSE AWFUL PURPLE PANTS!
Nathaniel/Luka- Another artistic pair. An artist and a musician. Plus, Luka's calm personality would help a lot with Nathaniel's shyness. He would know when he should push Nathaniel out of his comfort zone and when he should simply let him be. Nathaniel can also help be Luka's muse for his music. Not to mention also help create looks for Kitty Section and give great ideas for music videos they could do.
Good: Marinette/Alya- Friend-to-lovers is one of my favorite relationship tropes. It's adorable in so many ways. Plus, the two are very good together. Alya always helps Marinette go outside her comfort zone while Marinette helps keep Alya grounded whenever she goes too far with her ambitions.
Alya/Ladybug- Aside from the obvious hero worship Alya feels for Ladybug, the two have shown to have more than that. Alya has seen the human side of Ladybug when she helped her with Damocles when he tried to be a superhero. Plus, Alya has also shown that she is still willing to put herself at risk to help even when she knows there are heroes around. Which is the reason Ladybug gave her the fox miraculous.
Marinette/Kagami- Despite Marinette first being jealous and also trying to sabotage Kagami, the two later formed a really good friendship. Plus, Marinette has tried to encourage Kagami to stand up for herself against her controlling mother. Plus, Kagami's organized way of life is a perfect balance to the chaos of Marinette's life and general personality.
Marinette/Nino- Nino did have a crush on Marinette before Ladybug locked him and Alya away during the Animan episode. If he never got over his crush, the two could have been a cute couple. Especially since they are childhood friends, which makes it an even cuter take on the friends-to-lovers trope. Plus, Nino is also a naturally relaxed person, which definitely would help balance Marinette's chaos.
Don't Mind: Gabriel/Natalie- The two could be cute as long as Gabriel would get over his obsession with his wife. If he simply moved on, he could see how close he and Natalie had become, which could naturally grow into a relationship. It does help that Natalie is already a surrogate mother to Adrien.
Nathaniel/Alix- This could be a cute friends-to-lovers story. Alix could easily balance out Nathaniel's shy nature, helping him to open up more and take him out of his comfort zone. Nathaniel could also help Alix calm down and not be as competitive as she usually is.
Sabrina/Max- They would be a fun brainy couple who could be that nerdy couple that likes to spend time reading the same book in the library together. Plus, both of them tend to avoid confrontation and enjoy being on the quiet side. They would be the type of couple who prefer to stay inside to watch movies or read books than to go out to clubs or parties.
Nooroo/Dusuu- They would bond over their shared trauma of having to deal with Gabriel. They would probably spend long nights complaining over Gabriel and his lack of fashion sense. They could have a lot of fun making fun of him, his lack of fashion sense, and his horrible akuma designs.
Wayzz/Trixx- Wayzz would be the calm and thoughtful one while Trixx would be the wild and reckless one. Another couple who would balance each other out very nicely.
Wayzz/Pollen- I just think they would be cute together. Especially since they are both similar with how they hold a lot of respect for their holders. Even if their holders do questionable things. Aka, most of Chloe and Master Fu's actions. But, their loyalty is something to admire.
Sabrina/New York Boy- She was shown to have chemistry with him. Even if they did not have a lot of time and he did not even get a name, giving Sabrina any development beyond Chloe is great.
Eh: Adrien/Juleka- The two are great friends, but there is only a little potential for them to be a couple. The most that I can see would be Adrien helping Juleka get more confident because of his more open and optimistic personality and Juleka could help Adrien learn to rebel against his father.
Chloe/Lila- Talk about a match made in hell. They would probably only end up together when they would realize that no one else would ever be able to want them.
Marinette/Cat Noir- The best side of the love square, in the opinions of most people. They have had fun together while also being able to talk to each other about their worries and insecurities. But, they did both really overdo it during their "fake date" which caused Marinette's dad to become akumatized.
Marinette/Nathaniel- They are both artistic types and would probably make great art together. Marinette could even be able to help him design outfits for his comic.
Max/Alix- The pairing of a nerd and an athletic girl is cute to think about. It also is cute to think of them together because they are two of the class "shorties." Just two small teens getting together. Very cute.
Ladybug/Queen Bee- It might actually give Chloe the chance to become a better person if she were to get together with her hero. Or, it could end in disaster because it would make her believe that she really could have whatever she wanted.
Chat Blanc/Dark Ladybug- It would not be the first time that two villains would end up together and fall in love with causing chaos as a pair. It would be like a more "healthy" version of Joker and Harley Quinn.
Dislike: Ladybug/Chloe- A hero and a civilian would never work! Especially since Ladybug never did much to stop Chloe from being a bully. After Chloe nearly crashed a train by using Venom, Ladybug should have put her foot down and never gave her the bee miraculous back. Giving it back to Chloe only encouraged her in the worst ways.
Marinette/Chloe- I have no idea why people ship these two together. It's a bully and their victim. Why does anyone think they would be good together? I have never understood that whole "bullying someone means they secretly like them" trope. It never made sense to me and it makes even less sense for these two. Chloe tormented Marinette beyond just simple bullying. They would NEVER work together.
Ladybug/Luka- Again, a hero and civilian would never work. Especially since we saw how Monarch specifically went after Luka when he learned that Luka was aware of Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities. A hero dating a civilian would only make an even worse situation to that. Plus, if they did not work as civilians, then they wouldn't work as a hero and a civilian.
Lila/Sabrina- Sabrina already is basically a slave to Chloe. Lila is shown to also hate work in any form. So, any type of "relationship" between the two would mostly just be Lila taking advantage of Sabrina and using her lies to make Sabrina do all of her work for her while likely making Sabrina think she was "helping" because she was doing something for "such a charitable person."
Marinette/Tikki- Unless kwami have a human form, I highly doubt that it's possible. Plus, Tikki doesn't do much to rein in Marinette's worst personality traits. So, they would be a slightly toxic couple.
Marinette/Max- Marinette already has been shown to not think about Max's feelings when she joined the video game tournament just to be close to Adrien despite how much she knew Max had practiced for it. I doubt she would fix things even if she and Max got together.
Marinette/Marc- I am one of those who headcanon them as cousins, so that is mainly why I don't ship them.
Alya/Adrien- I like them as friends, but I don't see them as a couple. I wish they had more moments of friendship between the two of them rather than having Marinette and Alya being the friendship that shines through the most.
Felix/Marinette- Literally the first time they met was when Felix pretended to be Adrien and tried to force a kiss on her/Ladybug. Not exactly the best way to start a relationship.
Hate: Adrien/Chloe- Chloe clings to Adrien as if he is a piece of prized meat. She treats him like a trophy to be won and doesn't care about him as a person. While they may be childhood friends, that only has made Chloe think she has some type of claim to him. Also, she brings out a lot of the worst parts of Adrien's passive side since he did make excuses for a lot of her behavior until he fully learned how abusive her bullying was.
Adrien/Lila- They are very similar to Chloe/Adrien in how Lila also clings to him. And unlike Chloe, Lile had not known him for long enough to make it acceptable in any way. She also treats him like a trophy to be won and openly acts like that when she uses her lies to try and get close to him. Also similar to Chloe, Lila doesn't care about Adrien as a person. She only cares about him as the "perfect model" that his father forces him to be. Plus, she had also teamed up with Gabriel to spy on Adrien and use her lies to try and isolate him from "bad influences." Which basically translates to anyone who is not her.
Marinette/Lila- Is there really any reason to explain why this is an awful ship? It's even worse than Marinette/Chloe. Even if Marinette was not aware that Lila is a liar and was simply kind to her, Lila would likely use that to take advantage of Marinette's kindness while also manipulating her feelings. It would be like an even worse version of Chloe and Sabrina's "friendship."
Marinette/Adrien- I have made it clear how I feel about these two. Marinette is a stalker! The schedule she keeps of Adrien's activities, the presents she has planned for him up to his fiftieth birthday, the wall of pictures of him, the plans for their children right down to how they look, and the video she sent to him on the anniversary of his mother's disappearance to confess her "love." It's all awful! It's one thing to have a celebrity crush, but it's another to be as obsessed as she is. Adrien may have a file of pictures of Ladybug and a bunch of her merchandise, but it's nowhere near as extreme as how Marinette behaves with him. Plus, as a superhero, there is no doubt there are tons of people who have the same stuff for Ladybug.
Luka/Lila- Did the two of them ever even officially meet on the show? People usually have Luka as one of those who remain on Marinette's side when others turn against her because of Lila. But, I don't think Luka has ever even met her. But, despite that, I don't think they could ever work. Luka is the best character on the show. He's calm, kind, empathetic, and protective. He's the opposite of Lila in every way. Given his ability to hear the inner songs of the people he meets, he would likely get a headache from being around Lila and forced to hear whatever noise her inner "song" would be.
Kim/Chloe- Chloe would bring out the worst in Kim. And she has done so before. She was the reason Kim had been a bully when she influenced him to do that awful prank against Marinette by using her fear of bugs against her. Plus, it's hard to forget that even when Kim did have a crush on her, Chloe stomped on his heart by insulting him and the gift he got her, which got him akumatized into Dark Cupid.
Ladybug/Adrien- Ladybug's common sense pretty much goes right out the window whenever Adrien is involved. During Volpina's first appearance, when she created an illusion of dangling him off the Eiffel Tower, Ladybug was incredibly close to giving up her earrings if it hadn't been for Cat Noir destroying the illusion. Ladybug knew Volpina's powers were illusions and still believed it just because it was an illusion of Adrien in danger. Also, Ladybug abused her powers during the Bubbler episode when she used her lucky charm to stop Adrien from slow dancing with Chloe. Also, with Adrien, it's never a good idea to date your celebrity crush. It's bound to end badly.
Luka/Chloe- Another pair that never officially met on the show. The only time the two have interacted was during Miracle Queen when Chloe had Luka under her control and she used him to fight against Ladybug and Cat Noir. And while she did say he was cute, she also immediately insulted him by saying he looked like he got his clothes out of the trash. Luka would never put up with any of her bratty behavior and would call her out every time she would act like that. Plus, once he would hear that Chloe was the reason Juleka was akumatized into Reflekta, on two different occasions, he'd never want to date her.
Luka/Marinette- The two of them failed completely as a couple on the show. For starters, he had only been Marinette's rebound when she tried to get over Adrien and failed completely since she honestly did not try very hard to get over him. Luka gave her his whole heart, including the most adorable confession of love I have ever heard. But he always came second to Marinette whenever she had a choice of anything else over him. There was also the episode with Desperada when Jagged Stone came to the houseboat for a new guitarist. Marinette didn't even give Luka a glance before taking his guitar, one of his most prized possessions, and handed it to Adrien to audition for Jagged despite knowing full well that Adrien played piano and not guitar.
Chloe/Prince Ali- Very similar to the issues with Adrien/Chloe. Chloe would only treat Ali as arm candy and a walking bank. Plus, Chloe would definitely abuse the power she would get from being a "future princess." She's bad enough as the mayor's daughter, so she would only be even worse as a princess.
Chloe/Kagami- Every time the two have interacted, it has not gone well. The biggest example being when Chloe teamed up with Marinette to try and sabotage Kagami at the movie premiere of the Ladybug and Cat Noir movie simply because Kagami was there at the invitation of Adrien. There has never been a single good interaction between the two of them.
Chloe/Nathaniel- The argument against these two begins and ends with one word. Evillustrator. That entire episode basically summed up why the two would never work. One, Nathaniel is way too shy and soft-spoken to be with someone as loud and proud as Chloe. Two, she would want him to quit doing his hero art and only make drawings of her. And three, she humiliated him on his birthday and defaced one of his drawings that she stole.
Ladybug/Cat Noir- Cat Noir's crush on her did get in the way of him being a good hero multiple times. I do think he was a better hero than Ladybug, but that doesn't mean I don't see his flaws. Especially with the way he acted during Frozer and Glaciator. But, at the same time, Ladybug could have treated him so much better. She treated him like a sidekick and not a partner. She constantly left him in the dark and used him as basically a human shield. She gambled with his life multiple times and never once saw anything wrong with it.

God, I REALLY hope Juleka wins the Butterfly poll when it’s time for it - she’s the only one out of ALL the girls whose main color is actually Violet (as opposed to Pink or Indigo), and I feel like her character development wasn’t handled as well as it could’ve been (NONE of the character arcs were, but she sticks out to me in that she’s one of the more recurring supporting characters due to being Luka’s sister yet is simultaneously forgotten by both the canon show and the fandom in how things would affect HER SPECIFICALLY instead of adjacently through the people around her). I also feel like she would be a good match with whatever you’re going to solidify for Bugettes!Nooroo based on the tiny hints you’ve teased about him, both in itself and compared to Roaar, with whom I feel there were existing avenues for it to work but could’ve been sold to us much better in-show. Plus, I’d really just like to see her in a hero suit that’s actually purple; it still bugs me personally that PURPLE Tigress is far more magenta in actuality, almost red even, and very much like REFLEKTA’S main color at that.
Yeah we will see, as ultimately it'll come down to how the polls go, and I know Marinette and Rose have also gotten mentioned for Butterfly.
Juleka will also appear in the poll for Mantis, as Indigo is that in between blue and violet. So it's all kinda up in the air on how it'll go.
I also do agree. Juleka is one of the classmates that does stand out to me in her potential, and yeah it's butchered. So badly. This is primarily on the writers, but one of the things I dislike about Luka is the factor that, for the Couffaines, he's the priority. You could cut out Juleka and you wouldn't miss much. Like, the worst aspect is learning Jagged is their dad, but it was more Jagged and Luka's story than Jagged with both kids. Like, what was the point of making them both his kids when only kid really got priority in this revelation?
And yeah... Juleka with Tiger isn't really my go to pick either. I get her whole thing is trying to find her voice, to be heard and stand out. And with a kwami named Roaar, that does technically work off that agenda, but the power is One Punch Man vs doing something tied to vocals or sound. Which kinda makes the kwami's name a little random (honestly all Zodiac kwamis have really strange names that don't relate to their powers or themes).
The other odd detail is that, when you think of felines that are about roaring, tigers aren't what immediately come to mind, it's the lion. They roar to establish territory, to be heard and say "I'm here!", unless Roaar is meant to be a sort of mix of a tiger and lion? As she doesn't have a body covered in stripes?
I know that, supposedly, there's a Lion Miraculous coming, but it's not official yet.
Either way, tigers I more associate with hunting, stealthy ambush. Not really speaking out. I'll give it, tigers can be tied to leadership which does involve being heard, but it's more military leadership. They're more tied to war, aggression, and strength.
As for the kwami, to me, Roaar came off a bit of a bully. Which maybe Juleka just needs that tough love/push to speak up, but I personally didn't really care for their interactions. Though I still say Mullo and Mylene were the worst paired characters out of all kwamis and humans.
And yeah, Roaar visually doesn't really match with Juleka.
Technically, she matches with Cat the most.
Her main color is black, with bits of purple and green.
While Plagg is meant to be a black cat, there are times he's purple. And of course he has them big green eyes.
I could also see Juleka visually working with Kaalki. I see a hue of purple in her gray, and there is the green eyes to work off as well.
There's also the intrigue that Juleka wants to be a model and Kaalki expects someone famous or wealthy, getting a holder who isn't but wants to be, Kaalki would have to work with them to get them to where they both want Juleka to be; though I do see them butting heads a bit as it's pairing two of high and low status, but that could be fun. Plus, there's the pun potential of Juleka learning to be a show pony with Kaalki's help (she could've also called herself Knightmare).
And yeah, with Butterfly, Juleka could've done well. You do have to communicate with others, so Juleka would have to work at talking with others, to express her thoughts and to be heard, and there's some pressure to be taken off as it's more long range communication vs close, but the option is there for close range communication whenever Juleka is ready for it. And Nooroo would be a gentle and patient guide.
We'll have to see if it happens though.

I know this concept is from a miraculous and my hero crossover fic buuuuuuuuut. Switch the butterfly and peacock from the beginning, and the show can make whole lot more sense. First off having the sentimonster concept from day 1, and showing hints to different characters being one. Even having fakeouts and red herrings to mess with fans in a fun way. Makes the eventual reveals make more sense, with actual build up.
Second off villain screen time. I love Akumas, really I do. But I don't like how one-off and one-note they feel. Have Ladybug capture and cleanse some. But some get away and become reoccurring villains. Have Mr. Pigeon instead of getting angry all the time be one of the sentimonster's that they can't get rid of. Some like Time-breaker and Lady Wifi need to stay one-offs, but The Mime, Reflekta, and others stay and return. We could even have one of the recurring senti's start to stray from the original programming and try to break free.
HONESTLY LIKE
One of my many gripes with the Sentikids au is the whole setup thing.
In other modern media where there's some twist reveal(SU and Pink Diamond, GF and Ford, etc.), there's hints set up to it from episode 1, and woven throughout the series building up to it.
Sentimonsters aren't even an option on the table until the last 5 minutes of Season 2. The idea of Sentimonsters being able to pass as Human isn't introduced until the end of Season 3. and up until the end of Season 3(barely), there's no hints to any of the Sentikid characters even looking back in retrospect.

I finished watching Miraculous Ladybug Season 1. Here's my thoughts.
Man, these dumb teenagers sure are dumb teenagers!
Wow, the superhero dynamics and love square here are pretty good without being brain-nailing. I hope no cool characters are introduced in season 2 that are a thousand times better for Marinette.
Chloe and Sabrina is toxic yuri except Chloe is a lesbian in denial. Look at how she fawns over Adrien yet shows no language of love as if being with Adrien is more of a symbol of status if anything, not to mention her absolute love of Ladybug.
Also Alya is more chill than what the salters made me expect. Maybe things go horribly wrong in later seasons.
I was fully expecting Juleka to be my favorite character. I was wrong. It was Rose. She is the absolute cutest. The eeby deeby. I want to be a parental/big sister figure to her. I still like Julie, though. And Nathaniel. And most characters, really.
Reminds me. Reflekta is just as bad, if not worse, than I thought. Just give Juleka a bunch of lights and the ability to shoot light lasers that make people constantly look at her or at the very least throw in a small line that implies she's interested in joining the circus. Disrespectful.
Marinette no Lila is too smart to be taken down in an all-out assault. You gotta Steamed Hams her. Marinette no
On the subject of acting like I can influence Marinette, tell your parents you're a superhero. If anyone needs to know, it's them.
Also Chloe would jump off a cliff for Ladybug. Tell her you know what's going on at school and that the Ladybug way is to not bully or be mean to people so that less Akumas happen and Chloe can grow and develop as a character.
Anyways, I'm excited for season 2!

What were the people power proposals for Sabrina and Zoe?
The most popular one for Sabrina was just Miraculer but good. I'm trying to avoid doing "canon akuma but good" as much as possible. The only exception would be referencing Reflekta's design in Obscura. The other ones for Sabrina were duplication and being really good at any mundane task, so I merged those two.
As for Zoe, pretty much everyone said shapeshifting so I used a variation of that. There was one suggestion that involved her powering up other heroes, but I feel like there's too much overlap with Catalyst and I want the powers to have variety (ignore the fact that Ubiquity and Multitask are both different forms of duplication).

Don't know if you've mentioned it before, But which akumas are you keeping in your AU?
I already did but! considering I'm changing around the timeline again because I realized some stuff didn't make sense (like why is Gato there during Wishmaker, he's gone at that time lol) this is more of a ramble than an actual coherent post sorry
SO,
Stoneheart, Akuma!Juleka (still no name lol), Reverser, Bubbler, and Stormy Weather happen in that order. I don't think I'm gonna change this because this has been the same in almost every version of the timeline I have made so far.
I also have some plans for Befana, Ikari Gozen, Syren, Pharaoh, Collector, "Frozer", and whatever Dark Cupid's name will be. I am like 95% sure these will appear (because they're important, a new miraculous appears in 3, technically 4, of these and I also just like angst lol by that I mean there's angst in 2 of these xd)
I want to include Lady Wifi, Style Queen, Wishmaker, Gigantitan, Vanisher, Mr Pigeon, Copycat/Pixelator (I won't do them separately, only one of those), Gamer (I just think it would be really funny if Stephan beat Max at a game he's never played (I also figured out how it can make sense!)), Sandboy (literally the akuma that made this au, the ending is actually more important to me than the actual akuma lol).
I also have an urge to make Prime Queen happen but that would just be me being really fucking petty so I don't think I'll do it. it would be purely self-indulgent cringe
I'm unsure (because of previous importance or an interesting concept that's too good to abandon or I just haven't thought of it much further) about Anansi, Rogercop, Sapotis, Zombizou, Evilustrator, Princess Fragrance, Horrificator, Reflekta, Silencer, Puppeteer, Animan, Mime, Weredad, Lies, and Kwamibuster.
Definitely (or I'm not planning it) won't happen and why:
Riposte, Oni-Chan - Kagami just wouldn't let herself get akumatized lol we stan
Guitar Villain - No Jagged stuff
Captain Hardrock - she just doesn't make sense with the rules I fear :(
Chameleon - Lila gets akumatized once (maybe twice but it's definitely not this one nor Volpina)
Bakerix, Kung Food - ew no
Malediktator - Andre gets akumatized as Wishmaker instead, he also looks fucking stupid lmao
Catalyst, any group akumas, Robostus, akumatized sentis - doesn't make sense with the rules
Christmaster, Frigtingale, Party Crasher -I'm just not feeling it bro, I should also rename Chris to something different (probably not Noel what the hell)
Timetagger - no fucking time travel please
Miracle Queen - Chloe would not do that shit
Cat/Gato Blanc - even though this was the thing that started this au (paired with Sandboy) no. I don't like it, it makes no sense, it's horrible
any Zoe akuma - no Zoe
Santa Claws - Santa isn't real
If some of them aren't here, they're probably not gonna happen or are undecided because I forgot about them xd
#taking a bit of a break today#im gonna resume posting requests tomorrow#i can explain the ones im unsure about if anyones curious#ask#miraculous ladybug#miraculous disaster au#thank you anon <3#i just realised im the same age as marianne was when she got her miraculous holy shit

Which is your most loved character in Miraculous Ladybug?
Buckle up, buddy, it's gonna be a while. Or not, given how the showrunners treat the cast. Let's just say that before Season 3 aired (cough, Chameleon, cough) I was rather indifferent to most of the cast. But now that it's been about five seasons going on six, I've got a better understanding of who (read: what the writers want) the characters are. All the pomp and circumstance aside, let's get to it
1.) Marinette Dupain-Cheng
I'm cheating a little, I know. But girlie gets so much crap thrown at her in the show, I just had to give her a little love. Never mind the fact the writers seem to have it out for her just for existing (which is a whole other can of worms I won't touch). Matter of the fact is, I see myself a lot in Marinette. I too stress myself out by overthinking the simplest things and need my partner Rafe to help bring me down to earth. I think Marinette is an excellent protagonist who is treated unfairly by both the fandom at times and the writers. But mostly the writers.
At the same time, though, I won't sugarcoat her flaws. Flaws are what makes characters feel human. No, they don't need to do things that sink them to unlikable levels (the stalking allegations towards Marinette by the fandom). But little mistakes like talking before thinking, missing the mood of the room, not always checking the time, things like that we do every day. What I can't wrap my head around is why the writers have given her Qrow Branwen levels of bad luck in her everyday life. It's very Wattpad-levels of writing skill (I say this knowing full well I've published The Wolves in the Woods on Wattpad).
Marinette deserves better than what the writers have done to her.
2.) Luka Couffaine
I won't lie. I was rather lukewarm to Luka when he was first introduced. He didn't quite make an impression on me when he first debuted. However, in light of the recent red flags shown by the canon love interest Adrien, he's unironically proven himself to be a better match for Marinette. It might just be me personally, but I'm not fond of overly aggressive suitors. I like men (yes, men; age myself, why don't I) who treat their women with respect. Which includes taking "no" for an answer. Luka is a strange case where the secondary love interest fits the MC better than the canon love interest. And for that, I place the blame entirely on the writing team.
Because seriously. How do you make a secondary love interest match your heroine better than the official one? It's mind-boggling.
And again, thanks to the writing of the show, Luka's personality is pretty much a blank slate. What little there is, the fandom has pretty much turned into a better character than what we see on the show. I find it very telling overall that the fandom prefers Luka over Adrien when it comes to matching Marinette with someone.
3.) Juleka Couffaine
Yet another one who was done so dirty by the writers. Juleka, alongside Rose, is one of the few classmates who I don't like reading about in salt fics since, like most of Bustier's class, she's not inherently a bad kid. She, like so many of the other female teenagers in the show, get the short end of the stick in terms of writing (I can't be the only one seeing a pattern here). I find Juleka's aspiration to be a model despite her shyness to be a very compelling storyline... in the right hands, given what we saw in Reflektdoll. Again, had it not been for Alya wrecking things, we could have seen a plot where Juleka got to come out of her shell on her own. It's a pretty logical next step after overcoming her photo curse in Reflekta, but the writing team is allergic to writing compelling female characters.
I also really love her relationship with her brother Luka. But then again, I'm a sucker for well-written sibling love.
What many writers, not just in Miraculous Ladybug, miss is that male-female relationships don't always have to be romantic. More often than not, you can write a really compelling male-female relationship without going the romance route. Like best friends, siblings from another mother, heck even adult friendships.
There were so many ways they could've handled Juleka's character instead of what they did.
4.) Kagami Tsurugi
Speaking of patterns I've noticed...
Jokes aside, Kagami is another one done dirty by the writers. And it all boils down to the fact she was literally created to be Adrien's substitute girlfriend. I wish I was kidding. I can feel the bile in my throat as I write this out. Kagami ties with Marinette on "most screwed over by the writers" alongside Chloe, but I'd rather see them be friends and ditch Adrien altogether.
Why can't female love rivals be friends instead of bitter enemies. But then again, female rivalries tend to be rather nasty in real life, too. See how many women competed against each other for the position of queen in olden times. Or queen consort. Whatever position of power there was available to women at the time. Or whatever accomplishment there was to be had. Anyways, this isn't the first time girls have been pitted against each other for a guy in fiction, and it unfortunately may not be the last.
Just like Marinette, Kagami deserved better than what the writers did to her.
5.) Nathalie Sancoeur
She's an icon. What can I say? Nonsensical "romance" with Gabriel aside, Nathalie's one of the few female characters who stands out from the Miraculous Ladybug cast without the aid of a man. I know. Very telling, isn't it. Not just her design, but her personality, too. I find Nathalie to be more of a charismatic villain than Gabriel, tellingly enough. It's not just how she helps him commit acts of evil. But how she's very cool and level-headed in what she does. Even her kinder acts, such as convincing Gabriel to let Adrien attend school (wow, not doing yourself many favors, Gabe) are met with cool indifference.
If that's not a recipe for an iconic villainess, I don't know what is. But like everything else, she was butchered by the writing team.
Seriously. Do they have something against strong women or something? I've never seen a supposed girl power show treat their female characters with such contempt before. Even allegedly problematic shows like Puella Magi Madoka Magica didn't have this problem (I say allegedly because it's subject to opinions I might not share).
Honorable Mentions
None this time, because MLB has very few actually likable characters.

omg i love your ladybug!nath and cat!marc!! do you have any with the two swapped?
I do! I've posted their references before, and theyre in the background of my Reflekta thingie.
So heres them in action!
Extra, plus names below!
without the background too.
im no longer very happy with the normal coloured version of my design, shown in the reference, but oh well, i like this version. Doesnt really work if they were their origninal miraculous though, might redesign a different version.
These two are still canon for my au though.
Chaunceux (meaning Lucky) for bug Marc.
Got stuck with Cat Nath- but Feulin (mix of Feu and Felin- Aka. Fire Cat- Trust me guys he came up with it on the spot and hes bad at names-)

Little random game: name the eps you most hate and most love of each miraculous season and explain why
Hmm, there's not many episodes I'd say I hate, but my favorites and least favorites of each season are as follows:
Season 1:
Favorite: Origins -I don't care if this is technically two episodes, I loved seeing the origins of how the children met and how everything went down. The beginning of LadyNoir and oh my gosh we got such good LadyNoir moments here.
Least Favorite: Reflekta -Honestly looking through season 1 there really isn't any that stands out as a least favorite for me. So I chose Reflekta solely because this episode is the start of the curse of the many Reflekta akumatizations to come. xD
---
Season 2:
Favorite: Heroes' Day -I had to put this one as my favorite just on the premise that I feel that Heroes' Day is the best final/two parter we've had in the entire series. I loved everyone's role in these episodes, and of course we get to see Nathalie being an absolute queen as well.
Least Favorite: Frozer -Eh. Just an episode that's never stood out to me. Forgettable in the long run.
---
Season 3:
Favorite: Chat Blanc -Favorite episode of the season? More like my favorite episode ever! The angst. The feels. Chat Blanc's hurt and rage. Chat Blanc's design. It's all so beautiful the only change I'd make is making it a two parter and maybe adding a LadyBlanc kiss. But those changes aren't even needed because it's wonderful as is. 11/10. -Gamer 2.0, Oblivio, and Reflekdoll are honorable mentions. For the adorable LadyNoir moments, adorable Lovesquare moments via memory loss, and kwami swap! Season 3 is probably my favorite season overall.
Least Favorite: Christmaster -Just another episode that's never stood out to me. Plot wise it felt mid, and I can't see myself going back to rewatch it or basing a fic on it. Or including it in a fic. -Honorable mention of Miracle Queen though, as this used to be my least favorite of the season. I was really on board for a Chloe redemption when season three ended so this episode kind of stung (hehe) then, but nowadays I don't have the same issues with it.
---
Season 4:
Favorite: Qilin Least Favorite: Qilin
-Ha! Didn't see this coming, did you? I love love loved so much of Qilin. I loved the themes it addresses, Marinette and Sabine's relationship, the design of the akuma, it was all so good... until the very end!! They let Marinette take the blame when the real problem was racism?? I hate you ticket dude. And also bus driver dude you saw Sabine with her tickets and she literally gave you baked goods and you said nothing when she was taken away? Why???
And if you don't accept one episode being both the favorite and least favorite, then here are my thoughts on other episodes of the season: -I love the setup of Truth and Lies and would love more episodes focusing solely on Adrien. -Guiltrip when Chat Noir almost Catalcysms himself hurts me on a physical level someone give Adrien a hug. -I will forever live for the Plagg and Adrien moments in Kuro Neko.
Season 5:
Favorite: Evolution -Season 5 has a lot of plot-heavy focused episodes, which I always love to get. We got canon Adrinette, Gabriel getting Cataclysmed, awesome lore... but in the end I still think it's this first episode that's my favorite. I loved the action, how it picks right up at the end of season four, and also Rabbit Noir had such an awesome design too. I liked seeing Master Fu again, and the role Alix got to play. Gabriel got his good Monarch design with the stained glass look. Also timetravel can be tricky to write, and they pulled it off well.
Least Favorite: Action -After a whole season of the most plot-heavy episodes yet with a lot happening emotionally... Action has very little action is the way of plot or even as good “filler”.
Specials:
Favorite: Miraculous Paris -Gah honestly I think this is one of the very best episodes in all the show. Fantastic writing, great characterization, a fun adventure and seeing the alternate universe was fascinating. I love Shadybug and Claw Noir. Hesperia was awesome (I refuse to call him Betterfly). I have so many questions about the other world and who the Supreme is. Gabriel singing the intro. I could go on all day.
Least Favorite: ...idk -I mean there's only three specials thus far, and honestly I can't rank the Shanghai or the New York special as the lowest.
Movies: -Jk we only have one. xD But with how movie one ended with Nathalie I'm excited to see what they might do with this universe in the future.

Birthday: May 30, 2001 Chinese zodiac: Snake Sun sign: Gemini Decan: First/Gemini (Mercury) Moon sign: Virgo Rising sign: Scorpio
Birthday Masterlist Link
Explanation under the cut.
And now, Sabrina. I feel like the writers are going to pull the rug from under us and we will discover she did something so heinous in the past that makes her impossible for the audience to forgive. Of course she’ll be forgiven by most of the cast because she was like, 8 years old at the time, and didn’t know better. But the audience remembers…
I will be the first to admit that Chloe treated Sabrina horribly. But Sabrina very much enjoyed locking Juleka in the bathroom in Reflekta. Even a recently written episode, Derision, very much highlights that she has a sadistic side. And don’t forget the guilt-trippy manipulation she tried to pull with Marinette in Evillustrator.
I’m not buying Sabrina being changed for the better one bit. Also her dad is a cop.
Anyway, onto her birthday. I chose May 30, because it’s the same birthday as Musa from Winx Club. I really like Winx Club, as you can tell. Geminis are known for their intelligence, and Sabrina is very smart. I also know her fans like to headcanon her with many scattered interests, and Geminis are very much have a whirlwind of hobbies.
She was presumably born in Paris, so I calculated her Moon sign as Virgo. I already wrote a post about how this was a welcome surprise here. Virgos are perfectionists, and you have to be a perfectionist in order to master forgery, something Sabrina has immense talent with. Virgos are also know to be neurotic.
I then chose Scorpio as her Rising sign. Much like Chloe’s Scorpio Moon, I see Sabrina’s Scorpio rising as an un-evolved one. Unlike Chloe’s tendency for self sabotage and emotional extremes, I see Sabrina’s un-evolved Scorpio as calculating and manipulative. I just know there’s something hiding beneath those deep scorpion waters.
Here’s astrology.com’s copypasta of a Gemini sun/Virgo moon/Scorpio rising:
Individuals born under the Gemini Sun are known for their intellectual prowess, quick-wittedness, communication skills, and sociability. They are curious and love to learn, often becoming experts in a wide range of subjects. They thrive in environments that challenge their minds and provide ample opportunities for learning and connecting with others. With a Virgo Moon, emotional fulfillment comes from structure, organization, and attention to detail. People with this Moon sign are particular about their routines, cleanliness, and work ethic. They are highly analytical, introspective, and critical of their own and others' behavior. They are also empathetic and caring, using their keen observation skills to offer practical solutions and support. Scorpio Rising individuals are known for their intense, magnetic energy, and mysterious aura. They are secretive, complex, and deeply passionate. People with Scorpio Rising can be quite intense and might have a tendency to guard their vulnerability, but they are also incredibly loyal and committed to those they deem trustworthy. With a Gemini Sun, Virgo Moon, and Scorpio Rising combination, people are intellectual, analytical, and intuitive. They are highly observant, using their sharp minds to assess situations and people. They are motivated by new ideas, but will only pursue them if they see practical value. While they pursue mentally stimulating challenges, they can be quite critical of themselves and others. At their core, people with this combination are versatile and adaptable, able to thrive in a variety of social settings. They are intellectually engaged, but also methodical in their approaches to life. Furthermore, their Scorpio Rising adds depth and intensity to their personalities, allowing them to take on emotionally charged conversations with a calm, analytical approach. While this combination has numerous strengths, it can also have some challenges. Due to Virgo Moon's penchant for perfectionism, these individuals can be critical of themselves, which can lead to anxiety. Gemini Sun's scattered energy may at times be misinterpreted as flakiness or a lack of focus, which can cause others to underestimate their intelligence. Overall, individuals with a Gemini Sun, Virgo Moon, Scorpio Rising combination, possess complex and multifaceted personalities. They are intellectual, analytical, and introspective, with a magnetism that draws others to them. While they have to overcome challenges with perfectionism and scattered energy, their innate versatility and adaptability enables them to thrive in many situations.

Top 5 Akuma villains.
Zombizou Episode: Hey, remember when Akumatization was still such a big deal that you literally couldn't stop it from happening once the butterfly touched you, and how they used this episode to illustrate that? Also, the zombie apocalypse riff was really fun. Powers: Mind control powers are kinda basic Look: Looks like a zombie ragdoll and causes a zombie apocalypse, nice
Lady Wifi Episode: An actually concerning setup on the civilian side of things, plus an actual threat to the heroes' identities being exposed. This episode had some real tension. Powers: Electronic teleportation powers are so cool, the limited time stop powers also add some nice versatility Look: Very classic villain look, with a wifi signal logo to boot
Santa Claws: Episode: Now that's what I call a Christmas special. This is one of the few episodes that actually gives room for Adrien's emotions and doesn't shame him for them. Also, Marinette's Christmas spirit was incredibly inspiring in comparison to the "goodest child on planet Earth" shilling from the other Christmas episode. Powers: Santa Claws knows what you absolutely don't want for Christmas and delivers it. Better than Grinch! Look: He looks like a Santa Claus version of the Green Goblin, with a bit of a rock look, which makes sense, since he sings when he attacks.
The Bubbler Episode: Nino has such strong convictions, he cares so much about Adrien and he holds onto both of these things even when Akumatized. Gotta respect that. Powers: He was holding soap bubbles when he got Akumatized and that very fittingly became his weapon of choice. The power to send all the people bumming out his bro into the stratosphere was also really fitting. Look: He looks like balloon art, which is so fitting, considering his primary motive is to bring a good time to his bro.
Reflekta Episode: Reflekta's early appearances are all consistent with Juleka's one big need that keeps getting unfulfilled, and it makes her a very sympathetic and relatable character. Powers: She wants everybody to see her, so she turns everybody into her. Talk about becoming a trend-setter! Look: Taking "all eyes on me" literally and I love it. The pink is also a stand-out color (ha!)

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 16 - Respects
Beginning || Previous || Next
Alix knocked on the door to Wang Fu’s room. She waited a moment before she entered to find him with a client.
“I’m sorry, is this a bad time?” Alix asked.
“No. We were just finishing. Uh, see you next week.”
The client protested, but Wang Fu shoved him out of the room.
“What brings you here? Is there an Akuma?”
Alix shook her head as she held out the tiger miraculous.
“What’s this? What happened? Why are you returning this already?”
“Because the girl I entrusted it to betrayed me.”
“Oh dear. What happened?”
“It’s long and stupid, but the short of it is that I was helping a friend. I took a picture with him and his cousin and shared it with the girls. Well, turns out that girl got really jealous and manipulated her friends into siding with her and not see reason.”
Wang Fu grimaced. “That’s not good. I see the reason for the decision.”
“Was it the wrong one? Having taken a moment to just see the situation, I do recognize she was fooled by Felix, the friend’s cousin, but that doesn’t justify her reaction, right?”
“That can be a difficult one. Even knowing the circumstances, the ends don’t justify the means. She may have been tricked by a person, but her actions are ultimately her own. I think that alone speaks volumes, don’t you?”
“Well, yeah! But I… I hoped better, I guess. She was the first of them to welcome me into their group. She’s the one that took a chance on me, but then she does this. It just… it felt like she didn’t really care, nor did she know… me. All she saw was her jealousy and obsession. I just… I couldn’t.”
“It’s ok, Alix. These things tend to happen. I’m just glad you stopped it and got Roarr back before it got too out of hand.”
“Right. Well, here’s Roarr back. And… you and Chat Noir can choose my pick for the team.”
“Alix?”
“I’m sorry. I just… I don’t want to take that risk right now. I don’t want to be disappointed like this anytime soon.”
Wang Fu stoked his beard in thought. He glanced at the gramophone and smiled. He pulled up a low table, took the miracle box out, and placed it down.
“I have an idea. The first step of trust is offering it to others. We’ll start with this exercise. You’ve proven yourself a hero and able friend to your partner. You’ve made the hard decisions that not everyone could. You’ve made yourself into a leader by taking charge and doing what is right, but also necessary. Seeing you for who you are, I’m offering my trust in you.”
“How?”
“You’ve taken the miracle elixir and have been attuned to the kwamis, making unification possible. I think it only fair to allow you a second miraculous to unify with in future battles. And when you are ready, you may pass it along to someone else you offer your trust in, just as I am with you. Trust me and Tikki. We’ll help you down whatever roads lie ahead.”
Tikki squeaked as she emerged from under Alix’s cap. “This is exciting. Can we take any others, Master?”
“You may but pick one that will help Alix. Remember the goal.”
Tikki nodded and looked over the miraculous. Alix looked at them and considered.
“Wang Fu, I… I have a request. If you’ll indulge it,” Alix said.
“I’m listening.”
“May I… may I take just a kwami. Not a miraculous, but a kwami.”
“That is highly dangerous. For what reason?”
“See, I… Tikki was seen by a classmate. That boy I brought here. I lied and told him it was a prototype companion to help me or whatever. Point is, he was enamored by Tikki, and I saw a spark of light in his eyes. He asked if I could make one for him. I didn’t answer because Reflekta showed up, but could I get a kwami for him?”
Wang Fu considered. “Very well, but I ask you hold onto the miraculous then. Will do you that?”
“Yes.”
“Alright. Tikki, make your pick for Alix, then, Alix, make your pick for the boy.”
Alix and Tikki nodded. Tikki looked through each of the miraculous before she took out a nose ring.
“Ah, wise choice. That belongs to the kwami of determination. Alone, it’ll grant your invulnerability to other miraculous powers. With Tikki, it grants the ability to arm you and your companions in immunity armor,” Wang Fu explained.
“Woah. That’s really handy actually,” Alix admitted.
Tikki beamed and bowed.
“Now, Alix, your turn.”
Alix looked down at the selection. There were a healthy variety of options, but her eyes caught on the pocket watch. She could hide that easily enough with her family heirloom. She reached out and took it as Wang Fu tensed up.
“Is everything ok with this one?” Alix asked.
“It’s fine but be very careful. All these miraculous are dangerous in the wrong hands, but that one in particular is. It could unravel time itself.”
Alix’s eyes widened as she nodded. “Understood. I’ll keep it with me at all times.”
“Thank you. I rest easy knowing I can trust you with it.”
Alix smiled. She slipped the watch into her pocket and clipped the nose ring in. Orbs shot out and circled her before they morphed into an ox kwami and a rabbit kwami.
“Hey yo, I’m Stompp, kwami of determination.”
“And I’m Fluff, kwami of evolution.”
“Hey, you two. Name’s Alix.”
“Oh, Alix, are we to be your kwamis? Stompp and I?” Fluff asked.
“Not quite. Stompp will be with me and Tikki. Fluff, you’ll be with… an acquaintance of mine, but I’ll be holding onto your miraculous.”
“Oh. So, does this mean you’ll be unifying with me too?”
Alix looked at Wang Fu.
“She may. With Tikki and Fluff, you’ll gain the power to create objects and inventions throughout time, but more so borrowing them from another time,” Wang Fu explained.
“And if I were to use all three together?” Alix asked.
Wang Fu hesitated. “With all three you gain the power to create a space that protects those within while you either fast forward, rewind, or pause time outside of it.”
Alix’s eyes widened. “I… I see what you meant by time unraveling if Fluff is used.”
“Oh, it’s not that bad. It’s not like when entire timelines are snuffed out by-,” Fluff started.
Wang Fu, Stompp, and Tikki hushed Fluff.
“By what?” Alix asked.
“A very powerful and dangerous kwami that is the result of Tikki and Plagg unifying. It is something you must prevent at all costs.”
“What if Chat Noir or I unified them?”
A long silence. “If you do, be very, very, very careful. Fluff may be able to distort time, but nothing is compared to Tikki and Plagg when unified. With them, a wish is granted, but everything is usually rewritten to obtain that wish.”
“Or erased from existence to create something new,” Tikki whispered with a forlorn look.
“Tikki?” Alix asked.
“Oh, it’s nothing. Just… remembering all that has been lost. Such is the burden Plagg and I shoulder. Though it doesn’t bother him as much as me. It never will.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” Alix asked.
“Maybe another day. For now, it’s something I don’t want you to worry about. Ok?”
Alix nodded. “Anything else for now?”
“I think that’s all, yes? Considering the day.
“Right. I’ll see you later then. I’m going to meet back up with my family.”
~~
Adrien and Felix returned to the Agreste mansion and were escorted to Adrien’s room. They had been scolded by Gabriel before Amelie interrupted to scold Gabriel. The pair of parents were escorted away by Nathalie while Gorilla escorted the boys back to Adrien’s room. They waited a few minutes before Adrien spoke.
“Felix, why did you do that? Why did you send a mean message to my friends?”
“What does it matter anymore? It’s done and over with. Just move on.”
“Felix, seriously. They are my friends, and I don’t want them to think I’m just some jerk. I’m genuinely trying to make connections for the first time in my life.”
“And what about me? We’re supposed to be thick as thieves, closer than with any random nobody on the streets. We’re family, but also more than that. So much more.”
“I don’t know what more you’re talking about, but we are family, and nothing will change that. I’ll always be here for you, just like you’ll always be there for me, right?”
“Even with that Alix girl and Bloody Bug?”
Adrien hesitated. “I mean, Alix is just a girl I know that doesn’t like to follow the rules. As for Bloody Bug, she’s one of the heroes, not my friend. I’m not sure why you’d-.”
“Adrien, I know you’re Chat Noir.”
“What? How?”
“A lot of things. The first was this gut feeling. Like there was this feeling in the very pits of my being that told me you were Chat Noir. There was also how you spoke, moved, everything was, well, you.”
“Oh. I see. Well, yes, I am Chat Noir. You’re not going to tell anyone, are you?”
“No. At least, I do have something to ask of you. Something very important.”
“Yeah, absolutely. Just name it and I’ll see it done, so long as it’s within my capabilities.”
Felix took a deep breath as he looked at his ring. “I’m looking for something that Father once had in his possession. I heard him muttering about it from time to time about a magical peacock brooch. I didn’t put much stock into it at first, but the more I heard his muttering, the more I became interested. I may be on a wild goose chase, but I just know it’s important.”
Adrien considered. He looked around his room before he checked his garbage can to find Plagg eating cheese in there. “Plagg, do you know anything about a peacock brooch?”
Plagg blinked, consumed the cheese, then flew up. “Ah, well, you see here, the butterfly and peacock miraculous are both missing. I’m sure that’s what Felix is talking about, but we don’t know where they are. Even if we did, he’d have to go through the Guardian to get the peacock anyway.”
“Not unless we get to it first. Any idea where we can start looking?” Adrien asked.
“Nope. Now, if you’ll excuse me.”
Adrien watched Plagg disappear up to the second level of his room. Adrien sighed and shrugged.
“Would you really help me find this?”
“Of course! You’ll surely need help and I know a pair of paw-some heroes that’ll surely help you.”
Felix deadpanned. “If you make another cat pun, I will punch you.”
Adrien chuckled nervously. “Right, sorry. Anyway, yeah, we’ll help you. Maybe if we do, you can use it and we can be superheroes together. Wouldn’t that be awesome?”
Felix forced a smile. “Yeah. It sure would, but we need to find it first.”
“Oh, right. I’ll be sure to mention it to Bloody Bug next time I see her. Oh! And tonight, we’ll be meeting back up with Alix.”
Felix perked up. “We will? Where are we going this time?”
“You’ll see. I’d hate to ruin the surprise, but we’ll be meeting her around seven.”
Felix smiled, then looked away. “Hey, Adrien, about those messages your friends sent you, they were all best wishes for today and… and them saying they understand your pain and want you to be happy.”
“Oh. I see. And what did you say to them exactly?”
“I told them that ‘Father’ was right about going to school and meeting people was a waste of time. I may have added they couldn’t possibly begin to understand my pain and they were all fools.”
Adrien sighed. “That… that may have been pushing it a bit far.”
“Are you mad at me?”
Adrien considered. “No. I feel like maybe I should be, but I’m not. I’m more so sad that they think so little of me that they’d immediately jump to thinking I’d say those things in the first place. Granted I’ve only known them a couple of months. Unlike with Alix. They’ve known her longer. Maybe not friends, but they knew of her.”
“Alix feels different.”
“That’s because she’s like us.”
Felix’s eyes widened. “She is? How?”
“Well, she lost her mother too. Someone she loved very much. Just like us, she knows what it’s like to have lost someone like our parents.”
“How long ago?”
“I’m not sure. Alix never gave a direct answer. More so she doesn’t really remember. Like that perception of her time has been warped. Y’know?”
Felix hummed and looked away.
“Felix? Everything ok?”
“Yeah. There’s just one thing I almost forgot. There was a pig-tailed girl that said that she loved you and would always be there for you. Is she your girlfriend?”
Adrien grimaced. “I wouldn’t call her that. She’s more… obsessed with me, but not me, y’know?”
“You mean the model you?”
“I think so. I knew about her crush on me for a while now, but just didn’t address it. Well, not directly. I had encouraged her to try to confess to me for whatever reason, but I guess she never did until then. Anyway, it was her that had manipulated the girls into thinking Alix made me make that mean message and wanted to keep me all to herself. It just seems… I dunno. Wrong, maybe?”
“What are you going to do about it?”
“I don’t even know. What can I do? Should I just tell her I’m not interested? And if I do, will she just think I’m being manipulated by you or Alix? Would she be turned into a monster again because of it? Or should I just ignore her and her possible advances and just hope she gets the message? What do I do?”
“Good question. I’m not sure though. However, good luck all the same.”
“Would you like her?”
Felix laughed, then deadpanned. “No. Keep that crazy far away from me.”
“So long as you don’t send anymore messages like that to my friends, and I won’t have to sick my crazy fans onto you.”
Felix shuddered at the thought. “I won’t. You have my word.”
“Well, let’s see you put those words to action. Actions speak louder than words.”
“Bloody Bug tell you that?”
“Yeah. She’s told me a lot of things that’s helped a little. There’s a lot of things that are still a slight mystery to me, but I still appreciate them. She really is my best friend.”
“Do you think you’d be ok sharing her.”
“What? Of course. Just don’t try to steal her away.”
“And if I do?”
Adrien frowned and glared at Felix. Felix smiled smugly, then laughed.
“I won’t, Adrien. I just wanted to see you angry. It’s a refreshing change to all the smiles you’re forced to wear.”
Adrien blinked, then laughed. “Yeah, I suppose it is. Thank you, Felix.”
“What for?”
Adrien hugged Felix. “Everything.”
Felix gasped, then returned the hug. “Always, Adrien. It’s what family if for, yeah?”
“Yeah. C’mon, let’s play some chess. You owe me a match.”
“Bring it on, but be warned, I won’t go easy on you.”
“Challenge accepted. Let’s go.”

The sun had long set on the horizon and gave way to nightfall. Alix stood in the graveyard surrounded by countless other families honoring their dearly departed. She kept her bundle together as Alim and Jalil made their offerings and prayers to her mother.
“Hey, Alix!” Adrien called.
Alix turned as Adrien and Felix joined her. “You guys made it. Snuck out the way I showed ya?”
“Er… something like that. How’re you doing since earlier?” Adrien asked.
“I’m still hurt. I knew Alya didn’t like me much and would turn on me, I just didn’t expect Marinette to. She was the one that first accepted me into their group, and she was the one to betray me first. I mean, who’s next? Ivan? Nathaniel? Juleka? Rose?”
“Would it make you feel better knowing it’s more or less my fault for instigating it?” Felix asked.
“No. You may have sent that message, but everything else after that was her decision, her own actions. I mean, you didn’t tell her to manipulate and lie to her friends to get them to side with her, did you?” Alix asked.
“No.”
“Then you have no reason to apologize. Anyway, that’s not important right now. Who are you two here to honor?”
“Oh, actually, we thought we could honor our parents with you. Father won’t be mourning her, and I want to, so I brought a photo of her to place at your mom’s grave, if that’s ok,” Adrien said.
“And Mom is busy arguing with his dad over everything, so I brought a photo of my father to-,” Felix added.
“To burn. We’re burning that asshole’s photo,” Alix interrupted.
“But-!”
“Alright, Alix, your turn, just as you asked,” Alim said.
Alix nodded. She approached the grave with Adrien and Felix. She placed her offerings around the tombstone while Adrien put a framed photo of his mother against the stone. Felix took out his photo and Alix snatched it away. They exchanged nasty glares before Alix sighed and looked up.
“Everything has been changing. I thought this year would be like every other, but in a few short months, everything has changed. Mom, I hope you can see me. I’ve changed so much, and I wonder every day what you’d think of it. What you’d think of me. I hope you are still proud of everything I’ve done and what I’ll do in the future. After all, there’s no turning back to what I’ve become. Not until my heart and breath are stolen from my chest.”
Adrien bowed his head. “Mom, everything changed when you left Father and I. The warm home you made fell into disrepair and isolating loneliness. But I’m not alone anymore. I have Felix again in my life. I have friends, like Alix here. Father hasn’t let go yet, but that’s ok. Even if he never lets you go, I’ll continue on in your memory. Like he said, you’ll never be gone so long as you’re in our hearts, and I’ll carry you in my heart every day until we meet again in the afterlife.”
Felix huffed and looked away. “You two will make me sick.”
“Got nothing to say?” Alix asked.
Felix tsked but remained silent.
Alix snorted and grabbed Emilie’s picture. “Good. Mom, I don’t really know if you’re here, but I’m starting to believe you are. Not that I’ll admit to Jalil’s ideas with him around but do me a solid in whatever afterlife there is. If you find this woman, please, keep her company so she’s not alone. And if you see this man, kick him in his ghost balls and send him to the void.”
Alix placed Emilie’s picture down and burned Felix’s father’s picture. They watched the photo shrivel up in the tiny blaze. An eerie wind blew around them that made the candles flicker. Alix smiled and stood.
“Thank you both for joining us. It… means a lot.”
“Of course. And thank you for letting us join. It felt good doing this,” Adrien said.
Felix nodded.
“I’ll see you guys later, right?”
“You know you’ll see me later. And Felix will keep in touch, right?”
“That would be ideal,” Felix muttered.
“I would hope. Now, hand over your phone, bitch boy.”
Felix grumbled but handed over his phone. Adrien watched Alix put her number in Felix’s phone when he noticed a black, studded nose piercing she didn’t have before.
“Hey, Alix, I didn’t know you had your nose pierced,” Adrien remarked.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Had it done over the summer but can’t usually find too many piercings that I like. This one is a blessing to have.”
Adrien hummed and nodded while he took out his phone. He messaged Alix and asked if it was a miraculous jewel. Alix pulled out her phone when it buzzed. She snorted and responded that it was, and she’d explain later when Felix was gone.
“Are you ready to go, Alix?” Jalil whined.
“You can wait a minute, Jalil!”
“I’m cold! Can you please hurry it up?”
Alix groaned. “Fine. Alright, I’ll see you later, Adrien. Felix, keep in touch.”
Adrien and Felix waved Alix off before they headed back to the Agreste mansion.
