I haven’t had the energy to write up a full recap for the 18th Feb show, but I had a great time! The audience was a lot less unruly than my last visit, which was a relief, as that had really ruined my previous visit. In summary:

Loop 1:

Followed Artemis for the first time and I am in love with her choreography, she dances in the way that I prefer to when I choreograph, and as such she’s risen to the top of my ‘dream roles’ list. Weirdly despite being transmasc, I found this portrayal of her to be especially Gender, and now I’m considering growing my hair out just like her. Her movements are so playful yet animalistic, and the stone table dance with Apollo is simply stunning, as is her choreo in the resurrection scene. I’m also obsessed with the costuming for her and Apollo, the way the silicone bodysuits shift under different lighting, and the way they enhance every tiny movement. Artemis’ cackling atop the girders is always a standout moment for me, it gives the performers a chance to really lean into their own interpretation of Artemis’ more cruel tendencies.

Loop 2:

Followed Iphigenia/Hecate for the first time, got her 1:1 at the end of the loop. I was enamoured by the lighting & sound design used in that tiny 1:1 space, plus her performance of a text that felt veeeery familiar as someone who’s seen SNM NY (if you know, you know). Combine that with the familiar red dress, and you have a great little crossover Easter egg for fans to pick up on. Finally got to see the fabled bear ritual, and it is so much weirder and more uncanny than I’d even imagined, I was having flashbacks to Midsommar the whole time. Iphigenia’s loop was even more heartbreaking after seeing Artemis’ first, knowing the whole time that this excited, innocent girl never had a chance at happiness. Even when she’s smiling and laughing, we know that it can never last, yet all the same we hope that maybe this time it’ll turn out differently. This loop combined with Artemis’ also leave me intrigued about the oracle, and they’ve now been added to the long list of characters I need to follow.

Loop 3:

Located the bar (for the first time in all 4 of my visits!!) and chugged a LOT of water before returning to Troy, and quickly found Askalaphos, following him through the streets and back to his florist shop, arriving in time to see Hecate & Patroclus pass through. Watched as he picked up the roses and then selected someone for a 1:1, leaving me alone in the shop. I wandered over to the sake bar and found Hades leaving, so I followed him to the Troy finale (which was a blast, as always) and then found myself at the front row of the circle for the Mycenae finale. I was being offered a walkout (not sure who by, I can almost never tell performers apart when they’re sans-costume lol) when someone walking out behind me accidentally tripped me over, and by the time I’d regained my bearings the actor had chosen another WM to escort out.

All in all a wonderful trip, and as the wiki is slowly but surely becoming more helpful for researching loops, I hope that I’ll find it easier to follow some more long-admired characters. My next visit is on the 5th of March, so I’m currently trying to figure out who I want to prioritise following. I never like to have any iron-clad plans, as I feel that tends to ruin some of the fun that spontaneous discoveries can bring, but I’m definitely leaning toward wanting to see some of Kronos, so perhaps I’ll follow Polymestor & Polydorus as well, and do another show of intertwining loops. Equally though, if I run into Hades or Persephone, I can’t promise that I won’t cave and spend a whole show with them. Or maybe I’ll finally catch all of Apollo’s loop, or see more than a glimpse of Kampe! At least I have another week or so to consider my many wonderful options.

Due to there being no under 25s tickets left in April or May, I’ll soon be facing a 2 month drought until my June show, and I’m already so sad at the thought of being without this beautiful dreamland for so long 😭 I’m genuinely listing “be closer to woolwich for shows” as one of the pros to potentially moving back to London (and not even solely because I’m still dreaming that one day I could work for Punchdrunk lmao).

I don’t really know anyone who’s a fan of TBC, so if you’d like to chat about the show and your experiences/theories/recommendations on things to look out for, I’d love that! My DMs are very much open for all things theatre and mythology :)

i consistently imagine june egbert to be chubby

I kinda saw Egbert as lanky and really tall, like a bean pole, but I've also been playing around with other body designs in my head (chubby/fat Rose is one that I think I am gonna stick with though).

So I'll play around with a bunch of designs! Especially chubby ones!

Also, Does June Egbert usually go by she/her, she/they, or they/them pronouns? At least for you, because if you are the same person who told me about June I think you used "they" at some point but don't know if that was for me or your own headcanon.

Either way I think I am being brought to the June Egbert headcanon side of the fandom lol

The Acheron Cottage -- aka Swynlake’s Burrow

This is a REBOOT of the first in a series that one day may be complete but also may never be complete. As most of you know I’m like a huge #spatial person in my writing, so all my character’s houses/apartments/living spaces are really well mapped out in my brain? And I thought it’d be fun for people to see. (And a good reference for those who may RP in those spaces at some point.)

And since we just did a whole plot where Hades and Belle renovated their house, I thought I would update their floorplan! (Also, because I’m super obsessed with this magical house.)

Overview:

The Acheron cottage is now a 3 ½ (from 1 ½) bath, 6 bedroom cottage that was built in the 1700s sometime most likely and finished renovations in late June of 2021. Due to the fact the house is now four floors, taller than most of the trees in the area, and most of the surrounding houses are only 2 floor simple farmhouses and cottages, it sticks out a bit in the landscape, not to mention its haphazard leaning-tower of Piza style architecture. The new floors look like they were just kind of slapped onto the original house. (Think the Burrow.)

It is on 5 acres of land and backs up against the woods. There is a small stable and pasture on the land, as well as a large garden. It’s located in Southwest Swynlake, a few minutes walk from the local stable. There are neighboring farms, but they’re far enough away to not really count as proper neighbors.

Assume that all walls that are not covered by windows or other things (like closets) are full of books. The walls alternate between painted wood paneling and stone. Floors are wood except for the mud room, which are stone. The garden is shown in every photo, in order to orient yourself with which way the rooms are facing.

Residents:

Belle Acheron, Hades Acheron, Toulouse Bonfamille, Opal Acheron, Aidan Acheron, Bellamy Acheron, Arthur the ghost, other ghosts, chickens!, Philippe, Angus, the Black Shuck, Victoire, Vincent, Honoré, and Lord Voltaire Scalington, Destroyer of Universes.

**note: pictures in the aesthetic are to give an overall #feel of the house, but don’t necessarily indicate the exact furniture/decorations/floorplan. the floorplan, on the other hand is not quite to scale but i did the best i could.

1. Entryway

When you first walk into the house on your left is a row of hooks (made out of various odds and ends), on which to hang jackets. To your right is a little table and a mirror, probably plants added (thanks, Toulouse.) The hallway is wide but short and opens up into the living room area. The stairs are directly across from the front door. You can also see all the way through into the kitchen from the entryway.

2. Living Room

The living room is the most spacious room in the house and has remained so, even though other parts of the house were expanded. There is a large window seat beneath the front window. Two chairs and a couch are situated near the fireplace, which is dressed in the original brick, these are new pieces of furniture. It was painted a very pale, fading yellow, but now is painted a pale blue. Furniture is cozy and neutral colors (couch is a coffee colour and leather to prevent staining, chairs are a nice maroon colour, picked out by Lou with Hades’ influence). Lots of blankets (because Belle gets cold easily) and books along all the walls. A carpet is laid down beneath the couch/chairs.

These days, there are a few family portraits in spaces on bookshelves and above the mantel: one from Belle and Hades’ wedding, of the just the two of them and one of the whole wedding party; pictures of the children and with Toulouse, of course. Also, a picture of Belle’s mother has a place of importance among one of the shelves. There is also a picture of Persephone reading with Vincent in her old room. There is also evidence of children: toys and such littered about. It is rarely ever fully clean, no matter how fuitally Hades tries. The living room–as well as the rest of the house–is home to several clocks–on walls, on shelves, etc. Belle’s father was a clockmaker and Belle and him used to fiddle with the broken ones–made them tell time backwards or too fast or only every other hour. Belle and Hades’ chess table moved from the mudroom into the living room, near the fireplace. There is almost always a game in progress.

If one has a keen eye, they will notice there are no logs by the fire, nor soot in the fireplace. Yet, often, an eerie blue fire will be burning in it during the colder months.

3. Kitchen

The kitchen was the room that increased in size the most. The wall where the stove is was knocked out and pushed backwards to shift everything to the left. It now boasts copious counterspace, as well as a large island that is usually cluttered with mail and children’s things. Refrigerator, stove, oven, no dishwasher (which is probably the bane of Hades’ existence since Belle hates doing dishes and Lou doesn’t know how.) Cabinets are cherry wood; some are refurbished, and the new ones were made to match the originals.

Window over the sink looks out over the horse pasture in the distance (a few meters from the house.) Big, gorgeous window overlooking the garden in the “breakfast nook” area. Dining table is a cherry wood to match the cabinets and has eight matching chairs. Usually, the chairs are pushed to the walls, except for ones that are needed. This room is home to the only clock that is not digital that works in the entire house. It’s on the window ledge above the sink and was the first clock that Belle ever fixed by herself.

4. Mudroom

Where Belle always comes in from her horse rides, the door of which leads out into the garden and beyond. This is where winter clothes are stored and muddy shoes are piled by the door. It has a stone floor and is generally the coldest room in the house. The laundry machine and dryer are in this room. It used to be where Belle and Hades played chess. Now, their chess table can be found in the living room.

5. Guest Restroom

There is a new bathroom in the mudroom, for guests and the family to use conveniently. (And for Belle to clean up when coming from outside, Hades loves it.) It is just a sink and toilet but it is much better than making everyone go upstairs when they come over.

6. The Garden

The garden was neglected for a long while, since it was Belle’s mother’s. Originally it was full of just rose bushes, but many of them had died due to neglect (whoops). Persephone managed to save a few but the ones that couldn’t be, she and Belle (with the help of Haku) ripped them out and replaced them with different vegetables and flowers. It has a low brick wall around it. It backs up almost right to the woods. It is now Toulouse’s space and he will make it beautiful, with roses and other flowers and different fruits and vegetables. The opening at the top of it leads down to the pastures and off to the right of the garden is where the woods are.

7. Hallway

There is really nothing special about the hallway. It’s actually quite blank. There are more bookshelves though, which used to make the hallway a bit of a tight squeeze but they had to expand the wall in order to include stairs going up to the third floor, so it is more spacious now (though, not by a lot.)

8. Toulouse’s Room

This room used to be Persephone’s. It is currently Opal’s. However, it will, one day, be Toulouse’s, so I am going to describe that set up.

As you can see from the floor plan, there are copious amounts of plants in his room. He probably has very nice silky sheets--a dark green, maybe, with green walls. He has a long bookshelf among the far wall. On top of this is Voltaire’s tank. Probably a few paintings hung up and a dresser. The door that looks like it goes to nowhere? Oh, yeah. That’s his ever-expanding magical closet. It is a walk-in and is spelled to expand the more he needs it to. It exists now, but it has a child-proof magic lock on it so that Opal cannot get into it, lol. There is a cat tower for Honoré, though both of the cats hang out in Lou’s room, because Vincent is used to it too bc it used to be Persephone’s room.

There is a dog bed in the corner for Victoire, though she usually just sleeps with Lou, if Hades isn’t staying the night with him.

9. Belle’s Room

This room used to be Belle’s, it’s the room she grew up in. However, right now it is currently the twins’ room. However, one day it will go back to being Belle’s, so I am going to describe that set up.

A bit more spacious than the other room (but not by too much) Belle’s room is equipped with a closet, though it isn’t that big, as well as bookshelves all along the walls. There is also a reading nook in one corner with a window seat in it that Maurice built for her (which is why it’s in such a kooky spot) and it is probably Belle’s favourite spot in the whole house (after her secret office). The walls were repainted in a splendid sky blue. Her bedsheets are blue with little flower designs on them. Belle actually doesn’t spend a whole lot of time in her room, except for when she’s getting ready for bed. And I’d say she sleeps in Hades’ room probably 2 nights a week tops, but usually less than that, tbh.

10. Bathroom

Just your standard bathroom, nothing fancy about it. I assume Belle’s house runs on well water and it takes forever to get warm, which is the bane of everyone’s existence, especially Toulouse. This will mostly be his bathroom in the future, as Belle will take baths and such in the master bathroom.

11. Master Bedroom (Hades’ Room)

Biggest room in the house. It used to be Belle’s parents, and then Belle’s father’s. It has been Hades’ ever since he moved in. It is the neatest in the house because Hades is a tyrant about that and so even Belle’s things must be cleaned up. There’s a bedside drawer on either side of the bed, each has their own matching lamp. I imagine the bedsheets are like, extremely boring actually, like legitimately just white or a pale gray. There is also a space in this room, probably by the window, with arm chairs and a little table, where there is a chess board set up so Belle and Hades can play here too.

On the main dresser at the top, there is a jewelry stand for Hades’ various necklaces and bracelets. There is also a watch stand.

The walk-in closet is also extremely neat; Hades has an entire shelf for shoes which is neat of him.

The door that looks like it goes to nowhere? Oh, yeah. That’s Belle and Hades’ secret office. More on that in the section below. ~~

12. Master Bathroom

This only gets its own shout out because a) it is where Opal was born, b) I wanted the secret office to be #13, lol, c) I have a few headcanons about it. Mostly that Belle still uses it to do most of her nighttime routine stuff, because I feel like her and Hades probably have a groove going at this point and I think it’s cute. Also, she takes a lot of baths, so she’s in there all the time. She gets ready in the hallway bathroom in the morning though, since she gets up before Hades.

It is ALSO very neat, very clean counters lol and there are lots of skin products neatly arranged in drawers. He probably cleans up every morning after Belle from the night before, lmao. (Though, she DOES respect the bathroom as His Space and cleans up after herself, just...not to his standards.)

13. Belle and Hades’ Secret Office

It has a special rune on it that locks it unless you know the way in and can disappear if you want to hide it. Inside, Belle and Hades have hidden some of their more precious artifacts and books, things that they don’t want to get into the wrong hands.

The tan couch from the living room has been brought up to it, since it was getting far too small for the space downstairs and Belle didn’t want to get rid of it since it held so much sentimental value to them. The window looks out over the garden below, though it doesn’t actually exist to be looking out into the garden. From the outside, you cannot see it at all. It simply doesn’t exist.

Most everything in it is new. There is a lovely circular oak table in the middle, with matching chairs, and bookshelves surrounding all available walls. The desk labeled A is Hades and the desk labeled B is Belle’s, and they are both oak to match the table and custom fitted to the room. There is also a cabinet next to the couch that has a vault-like magic’ed drawer where they can hide things.

14. Bellamy’s Room

Eventually, this room will be Bellamy’s when the twins stop sharing a room by the time they’re about 13/14. Until then, it will be used The smallest of the three upstairs rooms. Some people might assume that Bellamy got it by default because he is technically the youngest, but he’s actually quite fine with it. He is the most like his mother when it comes to his living spaces. AKA -- he is a squirrel and likes his cozy little nest that is much messier than either of his siblings. He’s that person that puts clothes in drawers with one hand while reading with the other.

15. Opal’s Room

Eventually, this room will be Opal’s. She’ll probably move up there when she’s like five or six, idk whatever the appropriate age would be for a kid to be more or less self-sufficient in the regard of going to sleep/getting up. In the meantime, it will probably be Lou’s because it looks out over the garden. Which means she will probably get a lot of leftover plants from him because he won’t want to disturb them.

It is probably like a nice soft purple color or something right now. Opal constantly changes it. She repaints the room at least once a year and gets yelled at by her parents for rearranging her furniture at 2am sometimes. Also, the armchair in her room is the rocking chair that was in her nursery.

16. Aidan’s Room

At first, this room will be both Bellamy and Aidan’s because it is the biggest of the three upstairs rooms. The bed with the book on it is Bellamy’s and the one that is empty is Aidan’s. They don’t mind sharing really and I imagine won’t get in lots of arguments about things.

Because they are mediums, they both stay up late though they know not to disturb their parents or they’ll earn their wrath so they learn early on how to solve their own problems if they are getting on each other’s nerves. Their room is probably painted a nice pale yellow. Their biggest argument is probably closet space, because I could see Aidan being a fashionista and encroaching on Bellamy’s space and him getting annoyed about it.

17. Children’s Bathroom

It’s a bathroom? I don’t know. There are probably lots of fights about who gets to use it first in the mornings and people taking too long. Though, there are other bathrooms that people can use. I imagine there are mornings where one of the kids just marches into Hades’ room like ALL THE BATHROOMS ARE TAKEN, I’M USING YOURS!

What I’m saying is that privacy is an issue in this house, lmao. Yes, they expanded, but everyone is still living on top of each other.

18. Library

What? I thought there were books all over the house? Why do they need a library?

Because there will always be more books in the house! Also, they needed another room to escape for anyone in the family who might need it. Feel like Bellamy will haunt it most often as he grows older, but Belle will go there too rather frequently. She likes to be surrounded by books. There is another chess table here (yes, that makes three.) Sometimes, Hades and Belle will sneak off to the library just to play a game of chess without being disturbed, because they don’t keep one in the office. (The office is for working, the library is for relaxation.)

It is probably quite small actually and with a low, gabled ceiling. Floor to ceiling bookshelves all the way around the walls.

19. Toulouse’s Studio

Unattached to the rest of the house and above Hades’ garage, is Toulouse’s art studio. To get in you have to climb a spiral iron staircase. On the west side of the studio are floor to ceiling windows that look out over the forest. On the south side of the studio is another large window (though, not floor to ceiling), that looks towards the house/the garden/the horse pastures beyond. Beneath this window is his desk. To the left of his desk is a long workbench with several stools where his woodworking and other projects will be.

His favorite spot to paint is the place with the stool and empty easel, near the large floor-to-ceiling windows. There are also multiple plants in the room, scattered throughout. The couch actually pulls out into a bed, though it is rarely used. Sometimes, if Lou is in one of his moods, or if he just gets stuck on a project, he will stay the night in his studio.

This is Lou’s space and Belle/Hades rarely go in it, except to fetch him for dinner or whatnot. Sometimes, though, Opal will join him in it. She is the only one brave enough to put up with Lou when he’s in a bad mood and doesn’t want to be disturbed. It is also where she goes when she gets in fights with Belle and Hades, lol. Lou is the indulgent parent and everyone would rather she ran away to Lou’s art studio than to like...the wilds.

Drawing the Line

Characters: Kylo Ren x Tiffany (OC, Blk/F) Setting: Modern/Current Universe - comparable to an urban area in present-day U.S.A. Content: Angst; argument | Tiffany’s apartment Content/Trigger Warnings: Possessive partner, may read as domineering/infidelity/pregnancy/abortion/drunkenness Inspiration: A fellow Driver fan shared an image of AD with me (and others), and I got inspired. It was a photo-shopped image of him in a tub with tattoos and smoking a cigarette. A phone and a gun were resting on the side of the tub, so here we are lol.

We couldn’t find the source of the photo so I’ve opted not to share it in this post. Just ~imagine~ if you’ve never seen it (think The Interview magazine shoot). Word Count: 1,517

Tiffany was making dinner for two when she heard her lock turn. Well. Three, actually. Dressed in a T-shirt, brown leather jacket and jeans, he strolled into the apartment and placed his keys on the counter that separated her kitchen from the living room.

“Hey, Babe,” he said, pulling off his jacket and revealing his tattoo-covered arms.

“Hey,” Tiffany responded without an ounce of enthusiasm.

Kylo grunted, tossed the jacket on the arm of the sofa and tossed himself in the center of it. “The fuck was that?”

Tiffany mashed bread crumb-covered crab meat into a patty shape, and Kylo turned on the television. He looked over at Tiffany and noticed her crinkled face.

“Fuck’s wrong with you?” he asked.

Tiffany molded another patty. “I’m pregnant.”

Kylo’s jaw dropped. “Did you say you’re pregnant?”

“Yes.”

He flew from the couch and rushed to the kitchen, but stopped when he noticed that Tiffany’s face didn’t change.

“Why are you looking sad? That’s good news!”

Tiffany glanced up at him. “Is it?” She refocused on her crab cakes.

“Is it? The fuck’s wrong with you? You don’t want my fuckin’ baby or something?” he asked. Tiffany looked up at him--his face was suddenly beet red his and eyebrows knitted together.

“Kylo. You’re fucking married!” she shouted.

He scoffed and rolled his eyes.

“And you sell cocaine to doctors and college students for a living.”

“Okay, so let me get this straight,” Kylo chimed in. “You’re okay with me fucking your brains out...”

He raised his hands and looked around the apartment. “You’re okay with me paying your rent and paying for your fucking hair and nail appointments…”

He suddenly got quiet. “You cook dinner for me like June fucking Cleaver, but a baby is where you're gonna draw the fucking line?”

“Can you stop cursing at me, Kylo?”

“NO.”

The oil in the pan began to sizzle, and Tiffany started dropping patties in. “A baby is different. This is another human being…”

“Another human being that I want,” Kylo said, stepping close to her.

“What about what I want? I don’t want this,” Tiffany said.

She walked to her dishwasher and pulled the door down, and Kylo followed her.

“Then why are you still here? Taking my fucking money? Taking my dick? Cooking for me like you love me or some shit?” he asked.

Tiffany pulled out a spatula, a large fork, and a plate then closed the door.

“I don’t know why,” she answered--defeat in her voice.

She walked back to the stove and watched her crab cakes sizzle in the pan. Kylo stood behind her and placed his hands on her waist.

“I know why,” he said. She felt his hot breath on her ear. “Because you fucking love me just as much as I love you...”

Chills went down her spine.

“Because you know that you’ll never, ever find anybody who loves you like I do. Takes care of you the way I do. Fucks you like I do...”

Tiffany swallowed and wiggled away from Kylo. Then, she walked to the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water.

“Have you said this to your wife, too?”

Kylo took large steps toward her. “You know I don’t fucking love her, Tiff.”

“But you fuck her just the same.”

“I barely even fuck her, Tiffany!” he shouted. “You know our marriage is fucking business. She fucks who she wants, I fuck who I want!”

Tiffany raised an eyebrow and he cleared his throat. “And the only person I’m fucking is you.”

She took a swig of her water and rested against her counter. “Just the same, Kylo. I really don’t want this. I’m already settling for part of you. I don’t want my child to have to settle for part of you, too.”

“That’s not gonna happen. It won’t be like that.”

He took another step closer, and she moved around him. She placed her bottle on the counter and walked back to the stove.

“I don’t want to have to explain to my kid that daddy isn’t coming home tonight because he’s with his wife and other kids.”

She stared into her sizzling pan. Kylo watched the back of her head, trying to conjure up a response. Suddenly, she began to sniffle.

“Or that Daddy isn’t ever coming back because somebody shot him.”

Kylo’s face contorted. He grabbed Tiffany, yanked her around and stared at her face. She looked away, but he lifted her head and wiped her tears before they fell.

“Cut that out. You know I don’t fucking like that shit.”

Tiffany looked down again.

“Look at me,” he demanded. Tiffany met Kylo’s dark eyes with her own. “I’m not going anywhere. Nobody’s gonna fucking kill me.”

“You don’t know that,” Tiffany mumbled.

“I do fucking know that. Nobody’s gonna fuck with me,” Kylo said confidently.

Tiffany turned around and began pulling her crab cakes from the oil. “Pride comes before the fall.”

“That ain’t pride, Princess. I’m just that fucking good.”

As Tiffany retrieved her crab cakes, Kylo grabbed her water bottle and drank from it.

“I’m gonna have an abortion,” she said softly.

He was beside her now, but she couldn’t bring her eyes up to look at him. And she felt the heat rippling between the air between them, and it burned her to the bone.

“Well, then you’d better pack this fucking apartment up after you do it,” he said. He slammed the water bottle down on the counter, strolled out of the kitchen and grabbed his jacket and keys. Then, he walked out of the apartment--slamming the door so hard that one of her framed pieces of art work crashed to the floor. Tiffany jumped and her vision blurred. Tears streamed down her face.

Tiffany ate dinner alone. Then, she crawled into bed and cried herself to sleep. Suddenly, she heard the key turn in her front door. She didn’t bother sitting up. She could tell Kylo had taken off his socks and shoes. His bare feet slid across the hard wood floor and the steps became silent when they hit her carpet. Soon, her mattress dipped behind her and a hand was at her shoulder. The soft tickle of his lips peppered the skin exposed out of her tank-top.

“What do you want?” she asked.

“I want you,” he said, voice slurring a little. He scooted close to her. “I want you...I want my child...”

The scent of gin filled Tiffany’s nostrils and Kylo ran his fingers down her body.

“Kylo, please get off me…”

Kylo groaned and rolled over on his back. Tiffany’s ceiling fan twirled over them--the sound filling their silence.

“I love you, Tiffany,” he said, voice clear. “I’d fucking kill for you.”

“I don’t want you to kill for me, Kylo.”

He abruptly shifted on the bed and leaned over Tiffany’s shoulder.

“But I fucking would, though. I'd kill for you and I’d give you the fucking world if I could.” He started kissing her shoulder again.

“I’m gonna move you out of this apartment and put you in a fucking house. Gonna fill your closet with nothing but designer clothes and shoes. Our baby won’t ever know what the fuck it’s like to be sad or not having anything.”

“Kylo, please stop this,” Tiffany said. Her heart was pounding, and she felt herself melting.

Kylo turned Tiffany over and rested her face in his palm. “Tell me that you love me…”

Tiffany rested her palm against his cheek, too. “You know I love you, but--”

Kylo pressed his lips to hers and kissed her passionately. And that was it. Tiffany tossed her arm around his neck and kissed him back. Then, he began to pull the layers of his clothes away...

____________________ One Week Later

Kylo slid his key in and opened the door. The apartment was quiet. Too quite.

“Tiff?” Silence.

He pulled out his phone and called her. No answer. He texted her. No response.

“Probably getting her nails done or something,” he said to himself. He pulled off his jacket, sat on the sofa, and turned on the television. About an hour later, his phone rang.

“Hey, where are you?” he asked. No “hello”.

“Kylo, the baby is gone…” “What?” he asked, sitting straight up. “What happened?!”

He heard her swallow through the phone. “I...I got an abortion...”

Kylo’s body temperature rose. His breaths became audible and he could see his own chest rise and fall in his peripheral. “Why the fuck did you do that?!”

“Kylo, you’re not going to leave your family. So, I did what’s best for me. I’m sorry, but...we have to end this. I can’t live like this anymore.”

He heard her sniffle.

"I’ll start packing when I recover,” she said lowly.

“Where are you?” he asked.

A pause.

“Where are you?!” he repeated.

“I’m somewhere alone, Kylo.”

“Where the fuck are you?!”

“Bye, Kylo.”

Tiffany hung up the phone, but Kylo called her back. She sent him straight to voicemail, but he hung up and called again. And again. And again. And again...

Everything I’m Going to Watch in April: *** SUPER QUARANTINE EDITION***

I mean.... here we all are then.

Usually in these blogs I try to keep the fantasy alive of like “oooh maybe I really am going to watch all of these shows!” But, let’s just cut to the chase - you’re bored, you need to fill the yawning void of time between now and when they let us back outside (June?), you clicked on this for cold hard content recs. I hear you, I see you, I adore you, I’d love to embrace you, but most importantly: I got you. This month, I’m listing everything that could even remotely be in the realm of watchability. I do it for you.

BUT FIRST - Let’s talk about QUIBI. Quibi (“Quick Bites”) has been a looming threat for a long time and its time is finally nigh. Designed for “people on the go” (lol remember them?), it’s tv, movies, and docs released in ten minute or less “bites” on your mobile device. I think it’s supposed to tap into the same part of your brain that wants to watch 100 Tik Toks when you are technically “in bed” but haven’t put your phone down yet. It launches April 6 and you can get a 90-day free trial! Just the length of the rest of our time indoors! And on that date Quibi is ready to absolutely blast you in the face with a shotgun of content and celebrities. Chrissy Teigen is a judge, Chance the Rapper is Ashton Kutcher, Liam Hemsworth is a dying task rabbit. We are flipping murder houses, break dancing, and learning how to become drag queens. Also turns out this is the final resting place of When the Streetlights Go On! Who knew. I can not do individual recs because I am just one girl, and Quibi is a vast, merciless ocean of bites. Anyway she plays Gloria Steinem in this and she’s going to absolutely crush it. This miniseries about the ERA could not be more on brand for me: fabulous actresses of today, playing feminist heroes of yesterday! Thank you FX, for this gift. And thank you Australia for Rose Byrne (and Cate Blanchett!)

Game Freak Is Making Me Absolutely Breathless Right Now! (Pokemon Direct 2020)💕💖💕😁😁😁

I never thought in my wildest dreams that a Pokemon event like the 2020 Direct would be this DAMN GOOD!! I always expect something good, but something like what was revealed today? That was impossible to anticipate and I FREAKING LOVE IT. The direct started off with an absolute bang when one of my favorite mini-franchises of all time, Mystery Dungeon, got a remake that will be releasing in MARCH THIS YEAR! It looks absolutely amazing and it touches me that this beautiful series hasn’t been forgotten all this time.

And if this wasn’t enough to get my heart pounding and parachuting from my chest, they delivered a TON of Sword and Shield updates through the announcement of a set of 2 expansions for the base games. (Both costing $30 together, not separately.) First off, there’s 2 whole new locations which absolutely blew my mind since I was only expecting new GMAX forms to be announced today.

The Island of Armor and The Crown Tundra both offer new explorable areas as well as new Pokemon that were not in the original games! Over 200 are being added to the DEX!

While I wasn’t one to criticize the dex available in Sword and Shield’s base titles, I was really hoping for an expansion to the dex and I felt that Game Freak would do it despite them saying it wasn’t likely to happen in the past. Among some of the many Pokemon being re-included into the latest titles are Venusaur and Blastoise, both of which have awesome GMAX forms! (Especially Venusaur’s, I love it! It’s adorable!)

And then we have some brand new Pokemon legendaries coming with these expansions which I think are quite awesome!

Urshifu also has 2 seperate GMAX forms.

On top of all of this wonderful heart-pounding stuff, there’s NEW CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS! *NEW* customization options! We already had so many and now there is MORE! New hairstyles, new clothes, new accessories! This includes the iconic Marnie and Rose hairstyles, which I think is quite cool!

There’s also tons of legendaries being brought back including new forms for Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres which look ABSOLUTELY DOOOPE if you ask me. I never liked the original designs, I thought they didn’t have enough flare, but now they look absolutely amazing and I’m glad they gave them a much-needed redesign. A+ on this one, Game Freak.

Among new Galar forms is also Slowpoke, Slowbro (don’t have a screenshot of the Slowbro), and Slowking (Slowking’s head is scratched out to save the design for a surprise.)

Our beloved Galar starters also got quite the love, each one getting their own GMAX forms, which I think all look nice. Cinderace’s is my favorite, but I think they are all pretty solid and represent their designs’ themes well.

The Regi family is also getting love, with their own forms as well (no Regigigas form from the looks of it, though.) I don’t have a picture of the Regirock form, but I assume it is a part of the package.

AAAND on top of all of this glorious, wonderful stuff, there’s an awesome co-op play mode where you can do INTO dens and explore more than we were able to with Max Raids, which is just nuts. To wrap up all of this epicness, Pokemon HOME is announced to be released in February 2020, so we can transfer our beloved mons soon enough.

Both expansions to Sword and Shield has exclusives depending on the version you buy. Sword’s expansions will have different Pokemon than Shield’s, so prepare for that come June and in Fall 2020. I personally think this Direct was one of the most exciting things to happen to me as a devout Pokemon fan, not sure about everyone else. My heart was racing through the whole event and I seriously stopped breathing for at least a couple minutes. lol 🤣 If you have any questions or would like to see it again for yourself (or for the first time if you missed the Direct), check out the full event below. Wow, I should forget less often how serotonin-producing playing Animal Crossing with friends can be.

I just now played it with my besty (who GOT me ACNH in addition to the fact that he’s the one who gave me the Switch that I have...he is WAY too nice, yes, you can say it. LOL), and he helped me out with my flower crossbreeding strategy. I’ve been trying for like WEEEEEEKS to get blue roses but NONE have grown and I’m like WTFFFFFFFFF I JUST WANT MY BLUE ROSES GOD DAMMIT (because I have a DIY recipe for a blue rose crown, hello!!!!!!!!!!!) but apparently I need to have my roses placed strategically in pairs of 2-3 rather than just, like, a flower bed. Which is what I had. Oops. How was I to know the flowers don’t crossbreed and grow like that when I have like 15 flower beds all over my freaking island and they seem to grow JUST FINE! No seriously, even though I lack blue roses and also purple tulips, for example, my island is fucking COVERED in flowers. But it lives up to the meaning of its name “rainbow lady,” at least. LMAO Anyway, I was super excited to show him the “music room” of my house which is just a room stuffed almost full and cramped of instruments and stuff, but I just recently FINALLY got a drum kit so I customized it for the bass drum head to be...wait for it...the Thunderpussy logo. 😉😄😄😄😄 Actually it’s their more minimal one that just says “pussy” surrounded by an inked-looking heart (like you can see it on their website tab logo). But I’m pretty proud of the way it turned out and when I showed my friend he was like ‘OMG HOW.’ Apparently he was wondering how it wasn’t censored and I was like ‘Uh, ‘cause I drew it in the design thing...and they don’t censor stuff that way. x_x’ (My x_x is meant to show my apprehension about that though. LOL)

I also customized a guitar (so far I’ve only found and collected rock guitars which all look like Stratocasters, along with the acoustic guitar which I have the DIY recipe for) with a design I also made of just June Millington’s signature, so it’s like I have a guitar signed by her. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL It’s just...a music room...dedicated to my fave musicians/bands, really. Actually the only dedications I’ve made so far is to Thunderpussy and June Millington. I haven’t customized any of the other guitars, even though I have one that looks just like the one Mike McCready plays buuuuuut ehhhhhhhhhhhh you knoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow...I just want my music room to be dedicated to my women faves. They deserve it more anyway. LOL Although actually, if I get a white guitar I may just customize it with Jimi Hendrix’s signature. Hmmmmm that’d be pretty cool!! OR SISTER ROSETTA THARPE’S even though she most popularly played Gibsons and not a Stratocaster...but hey, I put June Millington’s signature on a Stratocaster-looking guitar and I’m pretty sure she never played Strats in Fanny/Fanny Walked the Earth. So REALLY the point isn’t to have the guitar match the musician...but it’d be a nice bonus, I think, at least. :)

Oh also, completely random but speaking of Mike McC’s guitars, signed? I just found this on Google and I-

I know what it says. And that it’s on a guitar, so the context is all there. I know what he meant. But all I can see is the innuendos.

Free flowers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

I have way WAY too many flowers on my island and would like to give them to other people instead of throwing them all away! My gate is open from 12:30-3pm EST today (June 23), friend code is SW-7801-2723-4707, Dodo code 303CH.

I have placed all the flowers I wish to keep on my beaches, so everything on grass is free to take! In order for you to take flowers we will have to become Best Friends, but you can unfriend me immediately afterwards, I won't be offended. I am not expecting any payment or gifts, I literally just need to clear my island so I can actually place items and get a coherent design going lol. I have every flower type and almost all of the colors. The flower I have the most of is roses, and I have all rose colors except blue available for taking.

However, if you have any hard-to-get/more rare flowers (blue roses, green mums, purple windflowers, black cosmos, etc.) and feel like gifting them, I will gladly accept them and would love it if I got even one of them! I don't have any blue roses or green mums, and have only one purple windflower and black cosmo.

If there's a specific flower type/color that you see on the beaches that you really want (and it looks like I have a lot of it), go ahead and ask if you can have one or two! I grabbed 15 of each flower color and type to keep, but chances are I don't really need all of them and will be willing to part with a few extra :) Since you will have Best Friend privileges, please please please don't do anything that could be considered griefing (cutting down trees, taking the flowers I've specified as mine without asking, etc.). If I notice you doing anything like this I will cut the connection and you will be sent home. My island will be reset to the state it was before you came and you will not be invited back.

Feel free to explore the island, talk to villagers, fish, catch bugs, check out my house, and shop in the stores! If you have any constructive criticism about island layout I'd love to hear it, I'm always trying to improve my island.

nickname(s): Jenn My 10-year-old calls me Trucker. I made the mistake of laughing when he used the word “Trucker” instead of “F-er” to avoid swearing. Then I made the mistake of laughing even harder when he called me Mother Trucker. We compromised and he calls me Trucker at home, but never in public. I’m a shit mom who obviously over-uses the F bomb, okay?

star sign: Cancer and I fit pretty much every characteristic of that sign. I have a thin skin and get my feelings hurt really easily. This Tumblr thing is actually pretty terrifying, so thank you to everyone for being supportive!

when I made my blog: Hmm. I started stalking in March/April 2018. I think I created my account in May, and my first post was June 2018. Baby steps.

reasons for my url: A lot of the ones I wanted were already taken (including names I liked with numbers I liked), and I suck at remembering usernames/passwords when I simply add some random numbers at the end. “Stop for a minute” are in the lyrics to a James Bay “Hold Back the River” song that I like and was listening to a lot at the time. I go in spurts of listening to a song on loop, and that’s where I was back then. I like “stop for a moment” better, and it’s good reminder to myself because I get so busy with work and I hate it when I feel like I have no social life or down time.

What’s your favorite season of the year? autumn. and spring.

Do you have pop-tarts in your house right now? we do not. we don’t have them very often. and when we do, they don’t last very long. because lilli, rose, and erin LOVE them.

Is anyone’s birthday coming up? my grandpa’s is at the end of the month. and so is my other grandpa’s girlfriend’s. there are a handful of other birthdays in there between now and then, but they don’t matter as much to me at this point.

Does someone owe you over twenty dollars? no one owes me any money.

Do you remember who you liked in grade eight? jacob.

When was the last time you burned any part of your body? several months ago.

Have you ever overflown a bathtub? close, but no.

Are you dressing up for Halloween this year? nah. i’ll just dress up my kiddos and take them.

If I gave you ten dollars, what would you spend it on? i’d probably save it. i hoard cash when i get it until we need it.

Where would you like to go on your honeymoon? it’s way past that. we didn’t really get a honeymoon. we ended up going to some meeting thing my dad wanted us to go to with him the day after we got married, and then a week or two later, we stayed overnight in a hotel so we could swim and get a day and night away from my grandparents, but we stayed in our city.

What do you do to stay awake when you’re tired? depends. usually i try to drink something with caffeine. maybe watch tv or something.

Are all nighters something you have grown used to? depends what you consider an all nighter. for instance, i always stay awake until about 1 or 2 in the morning, sometimes later, these days. i don’t think i could stay awake until 6 or later anymore, if that’s what you consider an all nighter.

Do you usually wear sunglasses when you’re driving? i do not. i don’t even own any.

Do you wear your shoes around the house? not usually.

Is there ever a time that you enjoy cold showers? i hate cold showers.

What clothes are you most comfortable in? jeans and a tshirt.

Is there anybody you’re not ashamed to tell anything to? probably not.

What has changed most about you in the past year? i’m more exhausted. lol.

Are you good at painting nails? no. which sucks for eliana in the future.

Smoothies or slushies? i love both, but smoothies are my favorite, if they’re made with real fruit.

Ignoring nutrition, could you live off veggies for the rest of your life? i don’t like any veggies enough for that.

Elaborate on a way you have volunteered? we used to clean trash off the side of the road once or twice a year at our old church. and in college, i volunteered for a couple different classes - one with logan center, and the other with pet refuge. pet refuge was my favorite.

Do you use a full length mirror daily? i never use one.

Can you walk in heels, or do you feel awkward in them? i feel awkward in them.

Any TV shows you sit down weekly to watch? i did for the masked singer when it was on.

Does anybody know about your sex life other than your partners? i mean. i guess. it’s more our lack of a sex life at the moment, which is kind of pissing him off. but ya know. if i had more help with our kids, i might be a little less tired and touched out.

Are you one to sneak food into movie theaters? i have before. but i usually don’t.

My Twist Braid Hair Journey (Straight Hair)

On April 14, 2018, an African residing in Philippines installed Twist Braids on my not so straight hair. My hair is wavy, dry, damaged and tangled because of excessive bleaching haha. She used extensions that I bought online. It’s just a cheap synthentic kanekalon extensions with no brand. But it’s a good deal. I just met her in Google while I was browsing and looking for a legit hairdresser for protective hairstyles. Lol thanks Google for making our world smaller. I also love her hair I think it is combination of braids at the top and weaves.

I paid her 3,000 Philippine pesos including the service charge and transportation. I asked her for a home service since I have a toddler who is always with me. She came from her place Las Piñas to my place in Project 4, Quezon city. We had a meet up in Cubao. Installing twist braids on my hair lasted for 4 hours. We had so many hindrances before and while putting twist braids on my hair because my toddler is not in the mood to play with my siblings. They were taking care of her while I was having a hair transformation haha. My baby keeps on telling me to get out of the chair. Because she’s not in the mood and she’s giving me an attitude hahahaha.

So yeah it lasted for 4 hours without long breaks. The picture below is me and the African woman who did my twist braids. She’s really nice and good at styling. So sorry I was late because of my toddler who is not sometimes grumpy when she wakes up lol.. The baby in the picture is not my toddler hahaha. She’s my sister’s baby, my sister took us a photo.

I really love how the colors I bought look great together and it’s because with the help of the African hairdresser’s magical hands hihi. I also want to learn how to do these too because it looks so fun doing protective hairstyles.

I am always asked a lot of questions by strangers, family and friends lol. I am introvert but I tried to answer their questions without letting them know I am uncomfortable talking to strangers hahaha. Sometimes when me and my baby were just riding a jeep, a stranger touches my hair and asked if it’s real and etc. There were times when we were just looking at the products in the mall, or buying food in the restaurants and food stalls, I was always asked many questions about my hair. Sometimes they don’t talk to me, I just hear them murmur about my hair. And I get very uncomfortable moving because I don’t like people looking at me hahaha.

These are some questions that I was asked by many.

1. Do you wet your hair?

2. Do you wash it with shampoo?

3. Do you take a bath? (weird, I know!)

4. Who did it?

5. How long did it take?

6. How long do this hairstyle lasts?

7. Why did you decided to have this hairstyle? (another weird question)

9. Does it smell bad ?

10. Do you get lice?

11. Is this real ?

12. How long is your hair ?

13. How do you sleep with your hair ?

So yeah having a twist braid protective hairstyle also has cons for introvert hahaha. Some people are also asking how do I take care of my Twist Braid Hair..

And this is how do it:

I washed my hair every 3 days but sometimes I washed it almost everyday. Because I have a Seborrheic Dermatitis which makes my skin itchy and flaky and I have red patches. I have it on my scalp, ears, and eyebrows.

I dilute my shampoo with water. It is best to use a shampoo that is residue free. Use an all natural/organic shampoo. What I like to use is the Clairol Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo. Which is hard to find here in the Philippines. Sometimes I used the VO5 Herbal Escapes Balancing Shampoo. It is easier to find in dollar stores.

I also dilute my conditioner with water. I used the same brands of my shampoo.

I bought a spray bottle and filled it with coconut oil and apple cider vinegar (ACV). I read that you can also use tea trea oil, argan oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, rosemary oil, fish oil, lavender oil, almond oil and grapeseed oil. It helps me out on my itchy scalp and it keeps my scalp and hair moisturized. Just spray your hair & scalp atleast 2-3 times a day.

I also bought an Argan Oil Hair Mask to moisturize and repair my hair once a week.

I even bought a satin head scarf to cover my hair at night. It protects my hair from getting frizzy and it also helps my face for not being covered by my whole hair hahaha.

I will also buy a satin pillowcase and a satin bedsheet. (My hairstyle right now is dreadlocks)

I was also putting aloe vera gel on my scalp and hair. The most important thing is that your hair and scalp is always moisturized.

I had totally removed all the hair extensions on July 09. My hair was longer and my hair fall had lessen. Thanks to the protective hairstyle Twist Braid Hair.

ALA Artist Alley post-con writeup

Here’s my general experience from tabling & what I plan to do going forward. Photos also included after the cut. Long post.

So, overall I had a pretty good experience. It was my first western/American artist alley experience, I was curious to try it out after my circle experience for Comic Market 92. Skip this section and scroll down if you just wanna see photos (these are just reposted from twitter though).

The Good:

Had quite a few followers + friends stop by to buy stuff! Thank you so much, seriously - I really appreciated the support because my table would have been dead otherwise..! I also met some GBF artists which made me so happy!

Felt really great to see people have a positive reaction to my merch, just laughing or smiling at the Salty tote or Dont @ Me shirt. My best seller was the shirt & the mugs sold out quite quickly. I sold a decent number of coasters (though I still have way too many lol).

Was a huge learning experience and I feel like all my prepration for organizing & promoting my goods paid off!

Tabling made it really easy for friends to find me - something that isn’t common at cons, usually. People are usually all over the place.

So much space! The pavilion tent was a good choice overall. There was lots of room to walk around for attendees to browse casually since it wasn’t crowded or narrow. Also, even behind the tables there was a lot of space to spread our stuff out as artists! It was also climate controlled & A/C so I appreciated it not being too hot and dank.

AA staff was really cool - the organizer even stopped by my table to apologize about all the miscommunication and bad reactions. They also gave out water to us, and one of my friends was staff so he checked up on me every now and then.

The Bad:

The hours were so long... Friday & Saturday, it was open 10AM-7PM, then Sunday 10AM-5PM. I stayed most of the time and I was very exhausted, and doing it back-to-back for 3 days was rough. I wasn’t used to it, and the chairs were uncomfortable. Plus I didn’t have a table partner... I was also mentally exhausted from having to try to smile & be outgoing with conversation for so long. I’m normally not used to so much interaction face-to-face.

The strong winds on Sunday were really alarming! The whole tent was shaking, the support beams even creaking and moving a bit. It also got pretty chilly at nighttime.

I felt like a lot of the buyers for western artists are still very print-focused consumers? Or perhaps it’s because I’m a new artist without an established western following (I’d say my following is very small/niche due to my fandoms). I was selling coasters/mugs & tote bags/shirts, which I mistakenly thought would do pretty well (I overestimated myself on the bags & coasters). But most of the people who bought stuff from my table seemed to be people who were referred or knew me already, not really any impulse buyers. I thought my prices were quite fair ($5 coaster, $15 tote, and $22 shirt). But people would still have rather bought $15 prints, it seemed. Perhaps there was just a lot of competition because of how many artists were there, so people had to spend money really carefully.

Another thing is that even though people liked my stuff, I think it was harder to sell because the customers browsing might not have felt any attachment to the characters of my merch. Like I thought the Kaede rubber strap would do better but not many people bought it probably because they didn’t know the character, the Narmaya charm did OK though.

Doing stuff from Granblue Fantasy & iDOLM@STER when the fandom isn’t too popular in the west is pretty hard. However, there’s a small but dedicated fan base which helped a lot. A few iM@S Producers stopped by my table, and I was happy to chat with fellow GBF fans who were burnt out after fire guild wars!

In conclusion...

I did make enough from sales to cover all my expenses and also make a bit of profit (surprising especially as a 1st time tabling artist at a western con) so I feel pretty good about it! However, doing the 3-days-in-a-row thing was absolutely awful. I think I’ll stick to single-day events from now on, even if they’re just small events. No Fanime or Anime Expo for me.

I still plan on making stuff from GBF/iM@S just because those are my 2 main fandoms, I don’t really want to expand to making merch for series I’m not super passionate about even if it’d sell better. Just not my style. I am into Type Moon so maybe I’ll also make some FGO stuff on the side too, but not as a main focus.

I’m glad I did have a waitlist open for people who wanted to buy leftover goods, I have a decent amount of stuff that people asked for. I plan to open an online store too (after setting aside some stock for Ronin Expo, just a 1-day event in June in Los Angeles). I want to design more merch! Especially shirts and mugs. Also want to draw another book.

Feels like doing Comike spoiled me for doing cons though... I really would love to try to do an only-event like Cool Star Festiv@l in Japan or another Comike (maybe winter?). Maybe I’ll try it for the future!

My table set-up! You can see an example of how the table looks behind me, which is just bare and white, with 2 chairs. The PVC pipe set up, the wire stands, hangers, blue tablecloth, bookstands, etc, are all stuff I brought from home (I got most of the stuff via home depot or daiso). It’s similar to Comike, you just get that little half table and some chairs; the rest you have to bring to set up for yourself.
