if my main goal was to get into arguments about people who aren't real, and explain for the millionth time that reading comprehension and critical thinking are actually useful skills that you should know, you do realise that i just wouldn't bother with the whole writing thing, right?

"Yes! My first summon! You excitedly flew around the area, watching as the portal slowly opened in the middle of your domain.
Ever since your recent creation, you had been waiting eagerly to be summoned, awaiting to charm a pretty lady. Once the portal's flames flickered to life and stopped growing in size, it was safe to cross. You happily flew into the tear of space, flittering through dimensions.
It was quite easy to navigate. You followed the string of desires, like following a light at the end of a tunnel. It was a quick journey thanks to your speed, and when you popped up from the summoner's ground, you immediately burst into a charasmatic introduction, hand on your chest, posed dramatically.
"Well hello there, dear~ You've done right by summoning me. Trust me when I say that you will have the night of your life. We can go as long as you like, or you can leave all control to me and--"
Once your eyes landed on the summoner, you froze.
Blue hair flickered like a flame, dark stained lips were parted in surprise, and wide, tired yellow eyes were practically glowing against the dim light. There was a controller gripped tightly in trembling hands. Was this...your summoner?
Returning to a more neutral pose, you gazed about the room in silence. This certainly was no woman's room, at least, that you were aware of.
"...Well...This is embarrassing," you sighed out, rubbing the back of your neck. "I must have taken a wrong turn..."
"Wh...What are you?"
That voice... Yeah, this only solidified that you made some sort of error on your way over, but could you really blame yourself? This was your first summon, your first journey! There had to be some leeway, right?
Well...something had to be done. You were here, and you had one of two choices: you could charm this person into a night of passion, or you could wipe his memory and pretend this never happened.
And why waste such a good opportunity?
"Well my friend~" Returning to your more entertaining voice, you hovered over toward the other, a teasing smile already set on your face. "I'm your friendly little incubus~ I'm here to provide you with all the fun you could ever desire~"
He brought up the controller, using it to hide part of his face from your closeness. He was silent for awhile, waiting for you to continue instead.
"By the way your room looks, and..." You gave a small scoff, "by how you look, is it safe to say you haven't had a lick of fun?"
Amidst all the blue, you could see gradients of pink show from the controller barrier. The male's eyes darted away, afraid to now meet yours.
"Yeah, I thought so, but don't worry! That's why I'm here~" With a single finger, you pushed the controller down, revealing his flustered face to you. "If you let me, I can show you what it's like to have all that fun~"
You were surprised to receive an answer.
"O-Only if...I could...um..."
You hummed inquisitively, a finger tracing along his pale jaw before resting under his chin to tilt his head up. "Yes, sweet boy? Use your words."
"I...I want t-to...be the one to...um...p-put it in..." His gaze never met yours.
You fought to surpress a laugh. Really, this skittish little thing wants to put it in? To you, he screamed bottom, but this was his first time, so it was your duty to lead him through it.
"Alright, then~ Why don't we prep up~?"
---
While agreeing to let him put it inside of you, you would be damned if this chihuahua would actually top you. You had him lay on his bed, the male keeping his clothes on, though his pants were unbuttoned and ready. He had his arms over his eyes, shielding himself from your nude form.
"Oh come on now," you teased, crawling over him and lifting one arm up from his head and uncovering part of his face. "You've never even seen a naked body that wasn't your own?"
You could see the pink seep to his neck. God he was so flustered.
"Well...before we get started, can I have the honor of knowing the name I'll be screaming...~?"
His breath hitched in his throat, the response almost forced out. "I-Idia."
"Idia...Alright~ I'm y/n, and it'll be a pleasure to have you fill me~"
Not minding his little flustered reactions, you sat yourself upon his lap, starting off with a simple grinding. It was enough to get Idia to whine out, the friction new and sensitive along his shaft. For you, it was just as pleasing. You felt him harden against you, and it sent chills down your spine. If this was enough to rile you up, then you knew you'd enjoy more.
It didn't take long for him to writhe his hips, his boxers and pants growing tight. His motions only drew more sounds from you, and your impatient self couldn't wait anymore. Sitting up some, you retrieved the hardened cock from its confines, practically drooling at the sight.
"Oh, you're a big boy for a virgin~"
No response, but you would make sure you get one as you positioned the tip against your ass.
"A-Alright, I'm gonna go down, is that o-okay~?"
There was a pause, but Idia nodded his head. You had the clear.
Thanks to your incubus body, taking cocks was actually an easy feat. You didn't need to prep up as much as a human would, and you were thankful for that. Upon sitting yourself to the hilt, your wings spread out in a flutter, your eyes rolling back from the sensation that collided with you.
"F-Fuck~!"
You weren't the only one making sweet sounds, as Idia, whimpered out against how tight you felt, how hot it made his cock feel. "T-Tight..."
"Y-Yeah, tight, isn't it, pretty boy? Does it feel good~?"
This answer didn't take long. In fact, it was almost immediate. "Y-Yes. P-Please, don't stay still."
You quirked a brow at the response. "Y-You sure? You...barely got inside."
While you were more than ready, you wanted your partner to be comfortable while intimate. Idia was, in fact, comfortable. So much so that he gripped onto your hips and thrusted into you, setting off a chain reaction.
You cried out into the air, your back arching as his hips came into contact with your ass. You felt a wave of bliss wash over you as you felt him piston deep inside. Strings of swears fell from your lips as you soon lost your balance and hunched over him, his movements not halting. For a virgin, he was quite excited, unless he actually wasn't a virgin? You weren't sure at this point. All you cared about was what you were summoned for: sexual fun.
"G-God you're so big...~" you moaned into his ear, clutching onto his shoulders. "Q-Quite a shock f-for a guy like you~"
He was silent, taking advantage of this once in a life time situation he had fallen into. As his motions continued, a name was sounded from his mouth, a name that was well known to you as, well, it was your own.
Your cock twitched against you two as you heard your own name muttered from him. You felt yourself already nearing your climax, and you only had your fresh creation to blame.
Coincidentally, Idia was nearing his end. Both your moans pitched in tone as you two came without warning. Your seed coated between you and him, dirtying his shirt as Idia's cum filled you in turn.
You two lay on his bed, chests heaving with every deep breath. You turned your head to give his sweat sheened neck a small kiss, causing him to shudder further. You then leaned up to his ear, a hint of teasing in your voice.
"How about a round two?"

why read books about the law + book recommendations
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello, gentle soul!
if this is your first time coming across this blog, i just want to say hi, i'm jas, and the purpose of @everpresence is to post teachings from renowned teachers of the law. this will range from ancient teachings to modern new thought leaders.
every once in a while, though, i will be making a post where i talk about my own personal experiences with the law. that'll start in a few weeks, though. i am going to be on vacation soon to a country i've been wanting to go to my whole life LOL! it's still unreal how the bridge of incidents leading up to it went, but nonetheless, i am SOOO grateful that i am going to be experiencing it for the first time.
anyways, for my first official post, i want to talk about reading books!
Tumblr media
books! why should i read books?
while it undeniably is fun and girly-pop to read such beautiful and aesthetically pleasing posts about how easy the law is, i personally feel that it is best that we learn from source material.
when you learn from source, you start to gain a foundational understanding of the law and how it not only can be applied to your life, but how it is always shaping your life experiences regardless of whether you are using it consciously or not.
let's say that you're in college and you are assigned to write an academic paper. if you want to learn something and you want to understand it on an academic level, which would you want to go to first: social media or the books?
i'm not going to say outright that social media is not a reliable source. we have learned a lot from social media, especially during the pandemic. and i get why it can feel much easier to consume information in bite-sized videos or text posts. unfortunately, though, social media also happens to be a source of limiting beliefs and blatant misinformation about the law.
we take what we choose to believe to be true from social media. we choose to believe that we have to "take action" in order to get what we want. we choose to believe that we have to "spam affirmations" even when we don't feel like it.
we are choosing to accept beliefs from social media that are actually hurting us rather than helping us hone our innate ability to consciously choose the life we want to live and evolve.
but once you sit down and read the books, you'll start to learn just how simple the law really is. trust me.
i used to go through many reddit posts, youtube videos, tumblr posts, but it only made me feel more lost on what i'm supposed to be learning and doing. it is only when i sat down and actually started reading the books that i started really understanding how the law works.
and i give a lot of credit to the books for my successes hehe
Tumblr media
reading books is not boring!
i also want to talk about a common belief surrounding reading books, and this is actually a perfect opportunity to touch on how the law works through this format. how exciting!
so if you say to yourself the following:
"reading is boring"
"reading books is a waste of time"
"i'm not going to get anything out of reading"
you are basically accepting this belief that is being translated to—for example—that feeling of dreadfulness or laziness when you are told that you have to read a book.
does that make sense?
your mental attitude surrounding the topic of reading books is what is currently being reflected as you are reading this post. and you should accept it for what it is, but you must also see that it can also (and thankfully) be changed. it's not a concrete fact that's true for everyone, but an idea that some people have agreed to believe in.
instead of choosing to believe that reading is boring, you can choose to believe that reading is fun and fruitful.
instead of choosing to believe that it's hard to understand a book, you can choose to believe that reading is easy.
and when you choose to believe that reading benefits you, you'll start to see how these beliefs shape your reality.
this is what's so crazy about the law. even when we are not using it consciously, our beliefs regarding EVERYTHING are always being reflected back to us through our physical reality.
we are always choosing what to believe to be true for us, and NOW is the time to choose beliefs that serve our greater good.
Tumblr media
book recommendations
there's no particular order you have to read these books in, but whatever you feel pulled towards, definitely take the leap of faith and give it a read!
all of neville goddard's books -> i mean it when i say all of them because the more you read neville goddard's works, the more you understand that your life is a result of you using the law, whether consciously or unconsciously, and that you absolutely do have the ability change your life by changing your conceptions about yourself. his books are a great introduction for those who are starting to learn about the law. if i were to choose a book, though, it would have to be The Power of Awareness. for those who are completely new to the law, though, i recommend reading At Your Command and Feeling is the Secret.
Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts -> i want to preface this by saying that seth is a channeled entity. it honestly was weird for me first when i first found out about him, but through my own personal experiences, i saw how his teachings are not only phenomenal, but also true. before reading The Nature of Personal Reality, i feel like people would get a better understanding of what seth is talking about by reading Seth Speaks first. it's foundational knowledge about how consciousness is the only reality. there are also some interesting topics worth reading about such as near death experiences, how much sleep you should be getting, "coordinate points" (though you don't have to subscribe to such beliefs), etc.
The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts -> i cannot emphasize enough how much this book has changed the way i view my thoughts and my emotions. i used to demonize the CRAP out of them until i read this book, and it has allowed me to be able to process them without critically judging myself. besides that, the ideas in this book go hand-in-hand with neville goddard's teachings and even expands on them. it is genuinely so groundbreaking, and every time i reread this book, i always end up learning something new. there are also some neat exercises in there about how to change your beliefs.
The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy -> joseph murphy and neville goddard have both been taught by abdullah. i like how this book is straightforward and addresses certain topics like money, relationships, science, etc. he is mainly an affirmations girly.

A lot of people in the phandom talk about how Season 3 was when Danny Phantom went downfall, and while i agree with the idea, i believe that the series was starting to show some of these cracks in Season 2 that later collapsed on Season 3.
For starters, we have the Season 2 first episode ¨Memory Blank¨, whose main purpose was to give Danny a logo in his suit so they had to make the portal explode on him again. It is an episode that doesn't much sense in the timeline and it is very confusing. It doesn't change much aside from Danny having a logo.
Later we have episodes like ¨Reign Storm¨ and ¨The Ultimate Enemy¨, considered to be the peak episodes from the series by many for a reason. The issue with these episodes is that they were setting up for pretty interesting things- but they never had a proper paid off. I have talked before about how the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire never appear again after Reign Storm in spite of how important they were. There isn't any mention of them in the episodes that followed. The same goes to The Ultimate Enemy, a mutual of mine, @pedanticat, pointed out how the special was setting up for Clockwork to be a mentor figure for Danny, which didn't get much followed except for a later episode.
While "The Fright Before Christmas" has some good moments, it is frustrating how Danny has to put up with Jack and Maddie's childish argument that ruins for him and Jazz what should be a special time of the year. It is quite gross that a 14 year old teenager has to deal with something like this and the adults are never called out for it.
I do enjoy "Secret Weapons" a lot but one main issue it has is that it semi rewrites Jazz's character, making her be incompetent at ghost hunting when in previous episodes (My Brother's Keeper and Maternal Instincs) and later ones she isn't seen having this same kind of issue with using fenton gadgets. I believe it was written like this so the status quo wouldn't change much in the show.
From here is where things start to get more messy, with "Beauty Marked" having very cool things but giving a mixed message regarding gender (potraying all girls who like fashion and buy clothes as brainless and Sam being the only girl who is clever). Not terrible since it still fun to watch but questionable in message.
"Masters of All Time": Another dumb alternative plotline episode that doesn't add much to the series and was a whole wasted of opportunity of showing how Jack and Maddie's relationship with Vlad used to be before the proto-portal accident. Pretty insulting to previous characterization established for Vlad as antagonist among of a lot other weird messages and implications. Not much else to add that hasn't been said before in my blog or by some of my DP mutuals.
"Double Cross My Heart": I don't remember a lot of this one but i do know i didn't like the whole idea of Danny stalking Sam + ¨If someone else that isn't Danny likes Sam, it means that they are faking it¨. I do know that as whole this appears to be one of the most disliked episodes from the series.
"Reality Trip": Looking back this episode has a lot of really cool things, specially some exploration of Freakshow's characterization and Jack and Maddie as parents. The GIW being main antagonists is great too. The whole problem that brings this whole special down is that the events that take place don't have any real impact and most of the characters, including Jack and Maddie, lost their memories of learning about Danny's identity as Phantom. This has to be one of the most insulting moves the series did, all because for the sake of keeping the main status quo. It makes me wonder why Kindred Spirits couldn't have been the double part episode instead, since it is related to one of main plotlines (Why Vlad gave Valerie all that gear) and is about one of the main antagonists (Vlad Masters), something that was a lot more important that Freakshow.
As you can see, Season 2 was already starting to show problems that later defined the writing of Season 3. You have things like inconsistent characterization (From Secret Weapons to Masters of All Time), lack of proper continuity ( What i already said of Reign Storm ending and also Valerie not having a major role after Flirting With Disaster) and episodes with weird timeline plotlines that go nowhere and don't have a real impact. (Memory Blank, Masters of All Time and Reality Trip) It is a season that, aside from the first episode, it stays pretty well until the first half, then in the second half it kinda falls apart, with having some episodes that are pretty solid and others that are a mess for different reasons.

I have been off tumblr for a while but popping back in for a second because I have angry Toughts about Books, especially booktok.
I am so tired. When I was a child and a teenager i used to read everyday multiple times a day, i found joy and escapism in literature. Now teens have... this? Really? It makes me fucking sad. I am sure there are also many new good books out there for teens and young adults, but chance is that the people they are aimed to haven't even seen them or don't know they exist. You go into a library or a bookstore and the first thing you see is a booktok shelf. You may not even go into a library anymore because what is glamorized today is how many books you buy each month or each week. This are the books that are marketed, that are talked about. If I wanted to read some YA that is different i have to just reread old books which sure, it can be great but why can I not have any other option?
My sister has recently entered the -teens years. She doesn't read much but honestly? I cannot even fault her. If she was interested to the romance genre what should I tell her to read? This shit? Teach her abuse from an extremely young age because she is guilty of wanting to read? Honestly I feel like there aren't even books for teenagers that are actually for them. All of this YA genre is not for young adults it's for adults. Full stop.
(This also warrants a digression on how wide the ya age ange is. Google says 12 to 30, like excuse me? But my point still stands).
That's it. I hate the new book trends. I hate how to market something you have to boil it to insipid tropes, to a 20 seconds video where you slap a bunch of Pinterest images and some buzzwords. Where all the books are badly done version of themselves. As an author it makes me cry. They have so much potential and it is all wasted like this.
And that is also to say that if you do not agree with any of this, think booktok books are cool, you like authors such as SJM or Colleen Hoovers... get off my blog. Unsubscribe. This is not a space i want people like that in, thank you.

Hello! I really love your Death Note art!! Especially your blog header. I saw it and thought it was so cool how you copied the manga style!! Your posts about it say they're you're Death Note OC? Do you have anymore info you can share about them or previous posts about them? Are they a Death Note user? I'm really curious cause the art is so cool and I love reading about people's OCs. That's all, thanks for all the cool art you make!
Hello!! Thank you so much for enjoying my art 🙏 And thank you for asking about my OC! I've never really talked about her publicly before just cause I've never really... Made an OC before? So this ask made me really happy 🥹 I'll try to keep this short but it definitely won't be lol because I don't know when I'll ever get to talk about her again.
Tumblr media
Years ago I had a plot stewing in my head for a story where Near shuts down the L successor program, steps down as L, and puts the title to rest. It takes place a year after the A-Kira story, which is around 10 years after Death Note's main story.
The idea was that someone began exposing Wammy's for their covered-up misdeeds and the fact that this is where successors of L were being raised. Because of that information being leaked, Wammy's House becomes unsafe for everyone in it.
OC talk under the cut 🙏
Apart from needing an antagonist who leaks all this information, I also needed a character who was there during the years Near wasn't to fill in the gaps for him and lead him to the culprit.
Tumblr media
All the major information about her is here on this OC character profile I made a while back. Lee honestly began as a general persona/self-insert that I use whenever I want to draw myself. I still often use her as my persona when I make silly doodles and whatnot. However, as a Death Note OC, I've really lost control of her and she has just gone on to take a life of her own lol
Lee comes from Wammy's House and entered when she was 12, a lot later than the rest. She first arrived only months before L died and Near and Mello left to hunt Kira. Though gifted with photographic memory, she could never really make it into the successor program through that alone. Despite this, she dedicated her years at Wammy's to pursuing the title against all odds, only to come up short every single time until she finally graduated. Knowing she wasted years pursuing the title, she grew bitter towards L and the program and left the orphanage to pursue an art career like she originally wanted.
She became an art teacher and kept her distance from anything related to the crime/police/investigators. Unfortunately, as fate would have it (fate being me, the person controlling everything about her life), she became a witness to a crime where she used her skills to draw the culprit. Her sketch is what gets the man arrested and what causes the police to recruit her. Though she always said she'd abstain from detective work after wasting her time on it at Wammy's, she wants to be useful so she agrees to work part-time lowkey.
She doesn't like having the spotlight on her, as years of fighting for it in her youth have worn out her motivation for being seen. She keeps her past under lock and key and lies about it constantly, but her memory allows her to keep track of her lies easily.
Her role in the story is that her past identity (her real name and lived experiences) is stolen and used to frame her as the person leaking information about the orphanage - an "insider tells all" who wants to destroy L, Quillish Wammy, and the orphanage. Because Lee is so detached from her past, at first she lets the culprit just use her old identity. It's not her anymore, anyway, so why bother her about it? It's only when the culprit starts murdering people and throws her current identity under the bus that she starts sweating. There's a criminal investigation underway and she's their only suspect.
Near and his team know she's not behind any of this; they're really the only ones who know for sure because of his ties to Wammy's (it's kind of a reverse L and Light situation where he's sure it's not her but everyone else is out to get her lol). However, she can definitely help point them in the direction of the person who's behind it all.
The problem is Lee's animosity towards the L program extend to Near, who is the only L she really knows considering the real L died a few months after she arrived at the orphanage. Near tries to bring her on board for the case since she's the best lead they could possibly ask for, but because of her distaste towards L and the orphanage, she refuses to join at first. The culprit going one step further and framing her for murder is what pushes her to finally go with Near and his team because her life has fallen apart and the police are coming to get her.
She really doesn't wanna help L and joins mostly for self preservation. She kinda gets a kick out of the fact that she has information the world's greatest detective can't get from anyone else. It's childish of her, but what's Death Note without a bit of childishness.
Also, to answer your other question, she's not a Death Note user. I certainly intended for her to be back then (hence the art I made for her where she has the notebook) but the story I came up with has undergone dramatic changes since. She still very much works with pen and paper, just not in that way anymore lol
That's most of the basic information about her and her role in the story I may or may not ever write. I honestly have the broad strokes mapped out already, including the ending.
Spoilers (for a story that only exists in my head lol), Near has Wammy's House demolished and has a new institution built for the kids. The successor program is dissolved and he has Lee head the art department since she was already an art teacher before everything happened.
Thanks so much for asking about her 🙏

Somehow when Emu said she wanted to show you something cool on top of a big mountain... you expected it to be some cool rock she found or something like that! Not... a weirdly customized sled... Seems you underestimated her again, huh?
You were looking at her with this deadpanned look, wondering what's it this time she thought of and who did she this time got into her antics... or maybe it's you and you simply don't know it yet?
"Emu... What's this?"
"It's a sled!!"
You sighed to yourself gently at her weird excitement over sled as she sat down on its front.
"I can see that. I meant... why's this decorated like that?"
"Rui helped me customize it a little!"
That's the moment your eyes went wide... Maybe you don't know that guy personally, but you heard enough about him to know it can't be a normal sled after he touched it...
"What... did he do...?"
"There's the fun! I don't know!"
You honestly wanted to scream right now... but somehow that excited look on the girl's face made you think it may not be as bad... You really had too much of a soft spot for her...
"What do you mean you don't know?!"
"It's a surprise for us to discover!"
"Well this- Wait... Us?
Realization hit you all of a sudden as you looked at her and the space behind her... This slide definitely could fit 2 if not 3 people at once... So you WERE the one getting dragged into her antics after all!
"Mhm! You're curious too, right?! C'mon! Let's see how Rui did!!"
Your mind was telling you to just go back the way you came here... But your curiosity? It made you sit right behind her, get your feet on wood and arms around her. Even saying what you wouldn't id you were thinking rationally in the first place!
"Let's go."
"Yayyy!!"
She wasted no time as the second after your words, you were already going down this mountain... And you began feeling effects of what that Rui may've done to the slide...
"Emu... Did he add some speed boost-?"
"I think so! Wohoo!"
Emu was actually cheering and having fun as the slide went by many others, swiftly making every turn! Meanwhile you were clinging to her and the slide for your life, trying to not scream in terror as you realized what you're doing with your life...
"(I forgot to tell my mom I love her... And my grandma how much I love her food... And I got an F yesterday... And-)"
Your process of saying goodbye to this world in your mind was interrupted by a shaking. You were sure an angel came for you but... it was way too energetic and had pink her... So of course you were quick to realize you're still alive and it's just Emu...
"Y/N WAKE UPPPP!!!"
She was shaking you panickly, clearly worried that something may've happened to you just now.
"I-I'm awake, stop shaking!"
As you announced tour consciousness, the shaking indeed stopped! But you were met with other problem... now she was squeezing the life out of you with a hug!!
"I'm so glad!! I was worried I went too SWOOSH-WOOSH and that you may've gotten BLEEE..."
"What- No, no! I just had... hard time believing how fast we went..."
It was honestly putting lightly "I was scared for my life" in your eyes... But she doesn't need to hear it, right? Especially when she visibly began calming down as her grip relaxed.
"Really? So you wanna go again?!"
You could never say no to that shine in her eyes... But it's not saying no if you move it to later, right?
"Maybe... We can get hot chocolate first?"
You threw first thing you saw at her, hoping she'll agree and forget about sledding for now... And luckily, it seemed to so the trick!
"Oh yes! Hot choco! Let's goo!!"
She then excitedly took your hand and sprinted towards the stand offering hot drinks. She may be short but she certainly was a fast one...
"H-Hey! Slow down!"
But it still was better than experiencing that terror again, no? After all, she can't do anything risky when she's drinking something hot!
"I have an idea! Maybe we can drink it while sledding?"
"Oh god-"

Phone clutched in his hand as he stared back at the text. Deciding to not reply to it, he put his phone face first on his desk and redirected his attention to the lecturer.
He wasn't able to focus on what she was saying though. The message clouding his mind along with questions of his own.
She had told him about her crush on Nanami. He had encouraged her to pursue it. She had mentioned how their arrangement would have to come to an end if she wanted to proceed with a relationship. He had said he didn't mind.
So why did it bother him she was really going to ask him out?
Why did he harbour so much hate for himself for playing the supportive friend in this?
They were just friends that fucked. Heavy emphasis on friends. They weren't exclusive or getting to that point. So this shouldn't bother him that much.
His phone vibrates again and he's quick to pick up on the pattern. He had customized it a while back to make it easier to identify when she had sent him a message.
Not wasting a second he unlocks his phone and immediately regrets doing so.
guess who has a date this Friday~(˘▾˘~) you're gonna help me pick an outfit right
Heart dropping he tried to type back a reply. Of course Nanami would agree. In the little group they had it was very evident Nanami liked you back.
sure
He should be a lot more excited for you but for some reason he can't bring himself to it.
Maybe the loss of his daily fuck was what made this an issue for him?
It had to be. The only reasonable explanation there was in his head.
***
The end of class could not have come fast enough.
With the worry on his face as he packed his bag, Geto took notice.
"Didn't understand what Mrs Wagner was saying again?"
He paused his packing and looked up at his best friend.
"It's not that." He shoved his laptop in it's pocket and zipped up the bag. "I'm just thinking."
"About?" He watched his friend get up from his seat and toss the bag onto his back.
"Don't worry about it." he tried to get Geto off his case. "It's nothing serious."
Geto gave him a doubtful look but decided to let it go as they left the hall together.
Walking through the courtyard on their way to their apartment Geto's phone went off. He pulled it to see who had messaged him. Gojo not taking notice to it as he was stuck in his thoughts.
"Oh?" He voiced after reading the message. "Nanami got asked out by [Y/N]. Now that's a pair I didn't expect to happen."
He replied back to the text.
"They'll look cute together, no?" Looking to his right at Gojo who despite not being present before was fully aware of everything Geto was saying now. His clenched jaw an indication to that.
"I doubt." He disagreed.
"Why not?" He asked, curious to hear what Gojo would say.
"They just don't click." Like she and he did.
"They could. A relationship is all about learning about the other." he looked ahead as they were slowly approaching their building.
"Even so, they barely spent enough time together." Unlike they did.
"True. Haven't seen them have a conversation for longer than 10 mins" He looked at him thoughtfully. "I still think they could make it work."
"I highly doubt that." Gojo said with a roll of his eyes.
He may not have been looking at Geto but Geto was sure to take note of every little twitch that pulled his face. The slight furrow of his snowy eyebrows, the tick in his jaw. He wasn't happy about this news and it showed.
"By some chance," he started as they got in the elevator and Gojo pressed their floor. " Would you have a crush on [Y/N]?"
Gojo's head turned to look at his friend for the first time since they left the class. He tried to read his facial expression to see if it was a joke of a question he was being asked.
None. Geto was dead serious.
No one knew about the arrangement as per your request. So Gojo not wanting to anger you and continue what you had going kept his mouth shut. Not even his best friend got an inkling to what was going on. The secrecy of it all did make it more exciting.
But a crush?
On [Y/N]?
Impossible.
"No, I don't" He turned to look ahead of him as he exited the elevator.
Reaching their shared home, he pulled out the keys to unlock the door. Geto not far behind him.
"Well it looks to me that you're jealous." He said.
Stumbling with the lock at that statement, he got it in and opened the door.
Jealousy?
Is that what he was feeling?
"If you like her, now would probably be the best time to tell her. Nanami seemed awfully excited by the sound of his message." He set his bag by the couch and plopped down on it.
Gojo made a beeline to his room not wanting to hear any more of what his best friend had to say.
Upon entering he dropped his bag on the floor. Fell onto his bed face first face and laid like that for a bit.
"Okay okay waait." you slurred as you and Gojo sat on his bed with an open bottle of wine between you two that you shared swigs of.
The party going outside his room basically shook his door from how loud the music was being played. It was times like this that he was glad he and Geto agreed to moving into a Student Residential instead of a normal setting.
His fellow peers were too busy getting drunk, sleeping or minding their own business to care about another random party happening on a Saturday night.
"I never pegged you for the submissive type." you gave it some thought, or as much as your just above tipsy mind would allow.
Gojo grabbed the bottle between you two and chugged down a bit letting the sweet liquor take over his throat. "Well it'd mostly depend on the person in charge. I can't just submit to anybody ya know."
"So," you took the bottle from him and swung it back finishing it's contents, "If it were me?"
You got on your hands and knees and crawled the short distance between you two, making sure that once you got close enough to get on your knee in front of his sat body making him look up at you.
He brought his hands to your waist as his pupils dilated in the blue sea that were his eyes. You slowly caressed his smooth face with both your hands before moving one to his hair, pulling it back a little more till he was looking at you through his fair eye lashes.
"Well if it were you I don't think you'd be able to handle me right." he said, voice barely above a whisper but loud enough to hear over the music that thumped his door.
He moved his hands up and down your body feeling you up before slipping them under your shirt and gripping the skin that was there.
"is that a challenge pretty boy?" you started closing in on his lips.
"And what if it is?" he was visibly excited.
"Then I'm gonna have to take you up on it." your breathe fanned his lips before securing yours on his.
***
The day after you had found yourself in his bed naked in his arms. You may have drunken a lot but you sure as hell were not that drunk to forget everything that happened.
Getting out of the bed and looking for your clothes must've been what woke him up. He watched you in silence get dressed before deciding to make it known he was awake too.
"Morning." he greeted giving you a little jump.
"Oh, morning Gojo."
"Satoru."
"Oh, first name basis now?" you teased.
"I had you screaming it, I don't see why we'd have to revert back to my surname at this point."
He was right. If anything after last night's event, reverting back to how things were was going to be weird.
"So," you started trying to figure out how to word what you were about to ask while looking for your bottoms. "Friends?"
"Personally...I'd like to keep this going." he looked at you expectantly awaiting your response.
You paused your search to look at him. He was very much still in his birthday suit with his covers on his bottom half.
Would you like to go into an arrangement with the same man you had a what you define as a high school crush on?
Would it be a good idea?
Well, if you were least likely to end up in a relationship with him why not just have a little fun with this.
Fuck it.
"I'm up for it."
He gave you a lazy smile before getting up from his bed. You watched his sculpted body leave his covers and make his way towards you.
"What you want to pinky promise to this?" you let out a little laugh.
Arm snaking around your waist while the other went to cup your cheek.
"I was thinking of something a lot better."
That was about 4 months ago.
Nothing really changed from where you two stood as friends other than the fact you fell harder for Gojo each day while unknowing to Gojo himself he was in the same predicament.
Sure he enjoyed the sex but he enjoyed your company as well. Jus having you around to talk to or watch a movie or go on a random adventure or coffee shop hangouts or having study sessions together made his day.
He loved the way you laughed at his dumb jokes and the smile you gave him that you didn't really give to anyone else. He loved getting to cuddle you while watching a series you found together. He loved hearing about your latest interest and the excitement you held behind each word.
He loved...
He loved you.
He LOVED YOU.
He's a fucking idiot for not understanding that so soon. it was right in front of him.
But you liked someone else.
So what does it matter.
A lot. It matters a lot.
He got out his bed to grab his phone in his bag.
What was he doing?
Pulling up your chat obviously.
Was he going to confess his newly discovered love for you over text?
Why of course not.
He was going to invite you over. A lot needed to be discussed anyways.
come over? we need to talk
Tumblr media
What did y'all think though? It'd be nice to get some feedback since I haven't written for quite some time now.
So um,,,this is gonna be getting more parts than this because I didn't reach the cutesy ending I wanted to. I also didn't want to make it too smutty since I wasn't sure if you'd like it but if you would like the stuff they do inbetween I can write those seperately!!
Will go through at a later stage to edit it.

youre learning Russian, right? I've also started learning with borrowed textbooks, and the consensus I've seen online is that its not enough, and that a course is necessary. if you don't mind I'd be really appreciative to know how you got where you are and if you think that's true.
Спасибо за помощь (ღゝ◡╹)ノ♡
Unfortunately, I don't really know what I'm doing either. Just kinda stumbling through, and "where I am" isn't all that far. I can only ever be an authority on what helps me learn Russian; in my experience, there's never been a one-to-one, "follow these steps I took to become fluent" method. Everyone has to figure out their own quirks. (And if this isn't true for someone then I'm very jealous of that person.)
I've seen about as many different opinions as there are ways to learn. Some think you need courses. Some think courses are useless. Some like textbooks; others hate them. The one consistent thing seems to be input--everyone agrees you need a lot of comprehensible input (meaning, you understand some of what you're consuming). But is a course necessary? I don't think so. Whether it could be vastly beneficial or a waste of time and money is something that depends entirely on the person's learning style. A resource I've linked further down may help you determine whether it'd help you. I've never taken a course, so I don't have any experience there.
Also: I have ADHD, so everything here is working around that. Motivation is a massive issue for me, and I've generally found that forcing my way through something droll for long periods of time just... isn't something I can make myself do. It burns me out. I try to make everything something I want to do, or at least not very painful. But my methods are also slower and less effective than something more structured.
Comprehensible Input
How I got to it being helpful:
People go on about comprehensible input all the time, and I can see why; it's extremely important. It's what finally moved me from mid-A1 to late-A2. But actually getting to a place where input even can be comprehensible was so horrifically painful for me that for a long while I felt completely inept. So, here's the things I did, in order, that I think helped:
A0-A1 (not helpful yet)
Duolingo + Twitter: Don't get me wrong--I hate Duolingo. And non-fanart Twitter. But it was a great combination for learning Cyrillic. I used Duolingo's earliest levels to get familiar with Cyrillic and some very basic words. Concurrently, I followed some Russian fanartists on Twitter who also posted text posts frequently, and turned notifs on for them. That made it so that 3-5 times a day, I would get a notification for a post in Russian, and I would practise reading/sounding out Cyrillic. I wasn't too focused on understanding what the post was saying, just getting a familiarity with the alphabet.
Memrise + Anki: Pain. God, so much pain. This was the worst. Necessary and effective, but the absolute, God-forsaken worst. Once I felt comfortable enough with Cyrillic, I started working through two decks: a. Memrise: vlarya's 10k most common Russian words deck. It goes in order of most to least common, has audio, and has typing practise. This replaces Duolingo. (When Memrise inevitably removes community courses altogether, feel free to ask for a backup of this deck. If I'm still on here by then, I should be able to give my backup that works with Anki.) I don't recommend Memrise's official courses. b. Anki: Neri's Russian Sentences (blog link) deck is great for practising the simple words you're learning with Memrise, getting common phrases down, and starting to see how Russian as a language comes together. It'll take a bit to click. c. keybr: I also started practising a little with keybr, mainly because having to type in Russian on Memrise sucks with the on-screen keyboard. keybr is the best site I've found to learn to touch type different keyboards. It's extremely effective. If you're already a touch-typer, a few hours should be enough to type well enough for Memrise.
YouTube: Russian With Max's 'For Beginners' Playlist was really helpful and motivating, at this point. He speaks slowly, simply, and clearly enough that I could understand him, where I couldn't understand anyone else yet.
I... God, I hate the A0-A1 stage so much. You can't do anything. At least now, I can watch TikToks, read comments, enjoy memes, and understand enough of those to enjoy myself. The stage where you understand nothing is by far the most awful to me. I wish I had anything to make it more bearable, but it's really just the worst. Hopefully you're either past this already, or close to past it. The small mercy is that it doesn't take too long to claw your way out of.
A1-A2 (helpful now)
[Active Immersion] Memrise + Reading/Watching (comp input): keep working through vlarya's 10k deck. My routine is: speed review due cards; finish the 10 cards I started learning yesterday; start learning 10 new words today. That's my reps and warmup. Then, depending on my mood, I'll either read at least 30 mins of 'Дом, в котором...' (with or without audiobook, again depending on mood), or watch at least 30 mins of Max's intermediate vids w/ Russian subtitles. Sometimes in my free time I'll watch Russian lit or ДВК TikToks.
[Passive Immersion] Music/Audiobooks/Let's Plays: pretty self-explanatory. My passive input isn't as comprehensible rn, but I focus on things I enjoy. A let's play to fall asleep to, an audiobook while I'm doing something that requires on-and-off focus. The goal here is just to understand snatches of whatever I can, not so much the whole thing. Eventually, those snatches become more frequent.
I'm sure more dedicated study would help me a lot right now, but I don't really have the time or motivation to, so I don't try to force it.
Regarding Russian language learning YouTube channels, and why I only recommend Max:
I've found that most popular Russian learning YouTube channels feel... well, like school. They're not very interesting, they don't feel very organic. It doesn't feel like I'd be watching their videos for any other reason than learning Russian, which is bad for me, because I need to make Russian part of my life to have any motivation to do it.
So, the reason I like Max's channel so much is that he talks about things that're actually interesting and relevant to me. This video is a personal favourite, but he has a lot of videos about all sorts of topics--some of which I'm genuinely interested in. And his demeanour is more vlogger, less teacher. I like him as a person. (Protip: in this stage, don't be afraid to start his intermediate videos early, even if you don't feel you're there yet. It can still be very helpful to pick out the words you do know, and most of his videos have Russian and English subtitles if you're confused.)
Regarding how to find a good Russian book to read:
I... don't know. Reading ДВК with the audiobook really, really helped with my reading ability, and continues to. I can't state enough how important it was for me. But how to find a book that you can read over and over again... I don't know. I just know that Harry Potter would be absolute torture.
I've seen people say that you should start reading simple things, like children's stories. I personally haven't done much of that, because children's stories bore me out of my mind, but if you like them then I'd give that a shot. I've also heard that Chekhov's stories are good for beginners (I've heard that about Pushkin too, but I'm not sure how easy poetry would be to understand). Read-alongs on YouTube could be good too. Russian With Max has some old livestream read-alongs, and there are plenty of Russian read-alongs on YouTube.
Aside - if you're curious about 'Дом, в котором...', this fan-made trailer is the entire reason I picked up ДВК; the vibes captivated me and I had to know what it was about. So for anyone interested: if the trailer looks cool to you, you may like the book. The English translation is called 'The Gray House'. ДВК is fairly long, and different POV characters have differing levels of complexity with the language. The early chapters are the simpler ones, conveniently, so starting from the beginning should be fine. It's a slice-of-life type story, so easy to pick up and put down. I recommend the Князев audiobook, which is almost certainly the one you'll find if you search 'дом в котором аудиокнига' (it's a fan-made audiobook, so I don't think you can buy it, but like LOTR the fan version is by far the best).
Resources
r/languagelearning's resources page is a good place to skim through, see if anything sticks out. I recommend reading through their 'How to Teach Yourself a Foreign Language'. It's good for giving you an idea of how different people learn, different learning methods, how those methods work for others, and what might work for you.
Refold's Roadmap is very helpful for me to understand where I'm currently at, and what sort of activities it would be beneficial for me to be working on. I use their definition of levels (i.e. A1), so if I wasn't clear what I meant by A1 vs A2, reading through this could be helpful.
SRS:
Anki's for decks I have to create myself, or if I need a more specialised deck. I prefer Memrise for vocab, mainly for typing practise and the better UI. If you want to use Anki for vocab: Refold's ru15k deck is good for A2+. There are plenty of simple word decks to pick from for A0-A1. If you want to word mine to create your own Anki decks, see FLTR below.
Grammar:
New Penguin Russian Course is supposed to be good for grammar. I looked through it, and it does look good. If you understand grammar. I don't, but putting it here for those who do.
Reading:
u/La_Nuit_Americaine's post about reading helps me with motivation, and gave me some pointers about how to do it.
FLTR (Foreign Language Text Reader) is a good Windows program alternative to LingQ, if you can't or don't want to pay for LingQ's subscription. You have to input the word definitions yourself. I used Reverso and Yandex Translate together for this. Your word list can be exported to Anki.
ReadLang is supposed to be a good web-based alternative to LingQ (its free level is still usable, unlike LingQ's). I've not used it much, but it seems pretty good. My preference is using some translation extension that will let you click on a word and automatically translate it and move on quickly. Simple Translate on Firefox is what I use.
Video Media:
Language Reactor is a subtitle extension for YouTube, Netflix, etc. that has a bunch of cool features. I hardly use it because it's not on Firefox, but if you use Chrome, Opera, etc., it's really handy. For YouTube, it will translate the auto-generated subs for videos, so if you have a Russian video that only has Russian auto-generated subtitles, you can use Language Reactor to get English subtitles.
Other ADHD Accommodations:
Being kind to myself is very important. I can't make myself study by thinking "why can't you just" or "it's not that hard, what's wrong with you". I can't make myself study with positive words either, but using positive language helps my morale so that I have more motivation to study more often.
I use a different browser (Opera) solely for learning Russian. I chose Opera because Language Reactor works on it (would've used Chrome but Chrome is set up for work), but the general idea is having a separate space for Russian. I put Opera's language in Russian, and I keep all my Russian-learning tabs open there, so that when I'm ready to study it's as simple as opening Opera. Having it separated like that also helps my brain see active study as a task that can be opened and closed, rather than combined with everything else (Firefox).
I try to give myself enough options of things to do for immersion that it's always a choice. My brain has so many different states: motivated; unmotivated; foggy; clear; distracted; focused. Each one will want--or even need--something different. If it's a foggy day, I may be able to read along ДВК with an audiobook, but not able to read words without that help. If I'm distracted, TikToks may help more than reading; if I'm focused, reading may help more than TikToks. Or if I'm completely unmotivated, watching one of Max's vids is more passive than reading, therefore less painful.
I love Russian. Not much to this one. I don't think I could stick to learning a language I didn't love for the sake of the language itself.
I wasted time and motivation watching things I wasn't interested in, trying to find media in Russian that appealed to me. I don't recommend that. I don't know the alternative, but I always felt horrible about myself after. It's important to have media you like, but forcing it won't work. Russian movies don't interest me. Everyone else's favourite Russian YouTubers don't appeal to me at all. TikTok is much better for me in that regard, because I can search for specific fandoms that interest me. Luck seems to be the only thing that works for finding good YouTubers.
Textbooks are my kryptonite. I can't use them. They drain motivation so fast. If they work for you, that's great. If they don't, I don't know that forcing it is the solution. It wasn't for me.
I scroll language learning subreddits sometimes for motivation. It's not productive, generally. But it's fun. And I do get some ideas sometimes.
I've mostly accepted that my progress is going to be slower than others. I'm trying not to compare myself. I'm enjoying it now, mostly, learning slowly but learning, and each time I reaffirm that that's okay, it becomes truer.

Maaaaaaan ever since I followed you you've brought up such good points I never even considered.
like how Snape actually SHOULD be allowed to remain bitter about his childhood and the abuse from James because it was genuinely awful
or the fact that Tom's genuinely terrified reactions to dumbledor when they first met essentially made him even more resentful of adults and possibly beyond the point of no return on that front considering how he feels and reacts later on. (Which honestly that whole scene just from dumbledors perspective sounded very biased to manipulate Harry and if Harry wasn't so focused on trying to stop Tom he probably would have empathized with Tom there)
I low key kinda feel like JKR forgot what she wrote halfway through the books because she actually did write some interesting characters just not in the way her current self agrees with (also how does someone's own opinions of characters change that much and that bad??? I still don't understand, tho the guy who wrote Ender's game was homophobic and he literally wrote a book about the gay experience soooo who knows anymore)
Anyway thanks for your interesting takes!
What a delightful message to get!! Thank you so much! I'm really glad you've having a good time with this blog and that my posts have been thought provoking and enjoyable for you. That's so nice to hear.
I definitely think if Harry had witnessed the memory of Tom and Dumbledore's first meeting in a different context he probably would've reacted very differently - especially given his own history of unhappy experiences with adults arounds him during his pre-Hogwarts childhood. Harry is primed to be biased against Tom for the very understandable reason that Voldemort killed his parents, tried to kill him in 1st and 4th year and caused the death of his godfather in 5th year and on top of all that he met diary!Tom in second year and that didn't go well either. So of course the memory Harry sees is filtered through the lens of those experiences and traumas and doesn't raise any red flags.
If the diary had shown him that memory in an attempt to turn him against Dumbledore or he'd seen it in another context without knowing who Tom Riddle became things might well have been different.
And yeah. It's weird. The characterization in the books is actually very good and interesting. It's the strongest aspect of the series in my opinion and why I feel so drawn to the fandom surrounding these characters. The interesting thing is in general the characterization is internally consistent and complex. So it's not just a matter of wasted potential (though there is some of that too) where a character is shallow but could've been interesting or even a case of wildly inconsistent characterization that can be fixed with fandom.
Rather, it seems that what she created was accidental and wildly at odds with her intent. So what she wrote, isn't what she meant, but it's also a lot more interesting than what she meant.

Ok maybe this was a little uncalled for but i wouldve forgotten to say this by the time it closes :/
yea i don't get why it healed so quickly 😭
and thank you so much for the kind words!!! i'm glad you enjoy the blog :) it is so fun to exchange ideas with others that agree how much wasted potential is in this series lol. i will definitely miss it

I don't know if this is in response to the ask i sent you yesterday but if it is, please understand that i wasn't trying to tell you to stop believing in ur ship. That is your prerogative and you have a right to believe in what you want to believe in. It's not like my "essays" are going to change your mind anyway.
I was only pointing out what is think is a flaw in your logic especially because i saw u complaining of jikookers talking about a pic being deleted and i was pointing out that if you think Jk posting a pic only with Tae on his instagram is "special" then couldn't the other group of shippers say the same thing about Jk only having a selfie with Jimin on his WV ? What is the difference? I don't think who Jk chooses to post and not post on his socials is what determines who is most special to him and i'm sure in real life, most of you know this. If he takes a picture which he thinks is cool, he would most probably post it regardless of who it is. I am married and have been for over 5 years but i only have one picture of my s/o on my socials but i have tons of pics with friends and acquaintances. Do u think i posted more people than my s/o because they mean more to me? absolutely not lol. I even rarely take photos with my s/o at all so if someone had to judge how special my s/o is to me by looking at things like socmed posts they would probably think i hate him lol.
You created a blog to talk about and appreciate the bond of two people u believe could be in a relationship and it is normal to like seeing only or mostly people who agree with you but please don't think that anyone who disagrees with or questions your logic on certain things is out to disprove your ship or make you stop believing in them. Look at my ask again, not once did i ask you to stop believing in your ship. i only asked that you stop making big deals out of things that could literally apply to any other pair. Some of u talk about those things and see them as decisive proof that these boys have to be together but the truth is that, it really isn't mainly because those things aren't exclusive to the two you ship, that's the point i am trying to make.
So please stop coming out with your pitchforks and knives whenever someone challenges your logic because we all know the excuses and excess copium that will follow, the moment Jk wakes up and does something "special' for some other member especially if it is Jimin.
Plus if you had an answer to the question that i asked (which imo is a fair question) you would have provided it but you don't and deep down you probably see some sense in what i am saying and that is why you responded the way you did.
sorry about the "many words". I am just passionate i guess.
So please stop coming out with your pitchforks and knives whenever someone challenges your logic
It's less pitchforks and knives and more... tired of being condescended to.
I really don't mind my logic being challenged. I've answered plenty of questions about my logic. But I think you must see how condescending it is to assume that I'm absolutely blind to logic so it's your moral duty to correct my brain. It's my brain! It's not your brain! You really don't need to worry what I'm doing with it!
That's why I am kind of dubious when it's a lot of words because I feel like one question would be challenging my logic and I'm happy to get into it. Paragraph after paragraph is like being hauled in front of the headmaster at school and told I'm stupid. I wouldn't waste my time if I didn't have valid reasons for finding Taekook a bit more than friends.
because we all know the excuses and excess copium that will follow, the moment Jk wakes up and does something "special' for some other member especially if it is Jimin.
Especially if it's Jimin? Huh? I don't differentiate between Jimin and the other five? I don't know what experiences you've had with other TKKrs but I don't have the same grudge against Jimin you've experienced. If he comes out and posts a bathroom picture with Jimin at an OT7 dinner, I will be like "Oh look, a selca of JK and Jimin" and probably some thirsty comment about one or both of them being hot tbh.
Plus if you had an answer to the question that i asked (which imo is a fair question) you would have provided it but you don't and deep down you probably see some sense in what i am saying and that is why you responded the way you did.
It was 5am. 5am Peach wasn't up for it but I'm more alive now.
I think the mistake a lot of people, TKKr and JKKr alike, make is that they hinge their entire argument on individual moments. Atomix becomes this huge thing and the second it gets challenged, everyone melts down gloating or getting defensive.
So often, one will come at the other with "Here's why this particular 0.6 seconds in time was NOT special." Ok? Great? You got me? I try to look at them as more of a whole picture and that's how I end up thinking it's different.
So there's a picture of Jimin and JK on Weverse. I don't know the context of it, I have to admit. Was it at an OT7 event? Were they just together? (I don't think your point about deleting instagram applies here because I don't think he can delete Weverse when BTS are entwined with it really.)
But let's take it as it is: A selca of Tae and JK in 2021, a selca of JK and Jimin in 2019.
The reason I find one of them special and one of them less so is not because it's a selca but it's a selca alongside all the other stuff I believe to be true. Does that make sense? Its not just a selca. It's a selca and seeing each other in their hiatus a decent amount and touching and closeness and some suspicious instances and a history of interaction that feels different to me. The selca is just a part of a wider picture.
And this applies to any one piece of the jigsaw. I'm sure you could find JK snuggling Hobi or Jin too. You could find examples of JK spending time at Jimin's house. Does the REST of the picture apply though? I don't personally find that the wider picture of his relationship with any other member rings out as romantic to me. I do find Taekook to be romantic based on a lot of different things, not just individual pieces. That's what I'm saying.
I've now said selca so many times that it doesn't look like a real word anymore. 😂
Ultimately, this is a Taekook blog. I don't want to live in an echo chamber but I didn't really start it to feel like I'm being told off by people I don't know. I don't think you should leave as such but is this the space for you?
Please don't worry about my logic. I'm either wrong and we'll all survive...
Or I'm right. And we'll all survive.

Maja, can I just say how much I agree with you, and every point you've made. I honestly saw the bullying from the beginning of this whole thing, and I never, and still don't, understand it. I think it's people's way of hitting below the belt, and I don't think that's okay. I understand that people are exhausted with this entire situation, and I don't blame them for being exhausted.
I think the fandom has been through a lot with this situation, but I always saw blogs on here going after his looks, and saying demeaning things about his appearance, and it honestly left me disgusted. A lot of blogs actions and aggressiveness has left me disgusted. I understand calling out someone's hypocrisy, but the amount of meanness is just so unnecessary to me. It's gotten to the point where I just don't visit a lot of blogs anymore because that kind of hostility has just become way too much. There's no need for it, in my opinion.
It's why your blog is one of the very few I read from time to time. No matter the asks, you answer them strongly, and respectively. You give valid points, but you never turn things hostile, and I've never seen you bully Chris, or anyone. All that ridiculing his hairline, or his skin, or his teeth...it's uncalled for. I get people are angry for their own reasons, and I'm not saying that whatever anger or hurt they feel as a result of this situation is invalid, but I don't think people realise that to go that low, and to have that kind of nasty reaction says a lot about them as people. You can make your point of why you don't agree, stand strong in it and then just move on. There's no need to be so crass.
I've never believed in wishing harm on people, I just don't understand that kind of immature behaviour, and I just think there's really no need for it, because at the end of the day, people will eventually reap what they sew. But I don't think he's a bad guy. I just think he's a guy who got a little too comfortable in his lifestyle, foolishly and blindly trusted a lot of no good intention people around him, and made a mistake.
And this isn't talking about what's come out about her, because that kind of stuff I definitely don't agree with either, and it needed to be called out, 100%. But those of us who are on the side of PR believe it's fake, and we have our reasons and evidence for why we believe it's fake, so we state those things, and leave it at that. The other stuff is just wasted breath. And let's be honest, when this is over, these people are all going to go their separate ways and life goes on. It's a brutal, sad fact, but we can't deny it's a fact nonetheless.
I know people might read this, and think I'm taking up for him, and you know what, that's okay. We all have our opinions; at least I presented mine in a respectful, non-hostile way. But I do hope, once all of this is officially done, there can be accord again. And I know the people who want to hate on him will disagree with me, and that's okay too, but I do hope things get better for him down the road. Call me foolish, but I just don't agree with wishing harm or bad things on people. It's not a personality trait of mine, and I refuse to make it one.
Thanks Maja for letting me say my views on the matter. Keep doing what you're doing on your blog, because it's a great example of what a mod should be.
I agree with you. I get that people are exhausted and so tired of this situation that they decide to leave. I also understand if they can't support him anymore. I get it. However, bullying him because of his hairline and teeth is so unnecessary. These things aren't something new; he's been like this for years, and people didn't seem to care about it until he got involved with Alba. Or at least I didn't see it. Seeing some people talk about this and reading a few emails in my inbox about his appearance make it look like people only mention those things because they are mad at him.
I think holding him accountable is really important, and calling him out for hypocrisy and for being associated with people like them is also important. However, his physical appearance has nothing to do with the situation. Bullying him for how he looks is so unnecessary and unkind, and it makes it look like all the other concerns are just brought up from jealousy, which is not true.
I also don't think he is a bad guy. Was he stupid to get into this? Yes. Was this whole thing a terrible idea? Yes. I think his fears and insecurities got him into this situation. That, combined with him thinking he can trust those around him and that they would want the best for him, and the poor partner choice, was the perfect recipe for disaster. And as you said, I also don't want to baby him; however, saying that he's lied about everything in the past 20+ years is, in my opinion, a huge reach. If he was anything like Alba and her friends, we would"ve known about it before she was in the picture. Nobody can pretend to be someone for that long. Nobody can hide their true selves for decades. And he wouldn't always be able to play a role on sets, either.
I guess this whole situation is really hard, because I get that people are disappointed; we all are. I get that people are mad; we all are. But I do think some people take it too far.

Ganondorf had spent most of the day examining maps of Castle Town, trying to ascertain the best way to enter the city before he could be heavily intercepted. He still had no idea where they kept the Triforce, but he suspected it had to be close to the castle. He knew he would have to cut through their pitiful excuse for an army either way, but the faster he could get to his prize, the better. But now that the sun was setting, he found himself growing weary of being huddled over the table and opted to search for his family instead. After all, this was his first time back in Gerudo territory in several months.
It didn’t take long to hunt down his son, who often relaxed by the waters of the oasis after a long day’s work. His boy had been tasked with obtaining supplies for the warriors, and Ganondorf could tell, based on the increased stock in the barracks, that he had accomplished it.
He smiled, proud. He was constantly impressed and surprised at the gift of his family. And they would help him rise to greatness… they would rise to greatness as well. Their victory was so assured he could envision it clearly in his mind. He just needed a little more time to strong arm the king.
“Where’s your mother?” he asked as he approached the boy.
“She’s been talking to that Sheikah guy,” he answered. “Sounded like he and Hemisi are really hitting it off.”
“Yes,” Ganondorf agreed, contemplating the matter. The boy had been polite enough, and most importantly he was one of the higher ranking guards in the castle – Hemisi could eliminate him easily in the fight with such a relationship developing. He wasn’t entirely sure why it made him so… uneasy, though. “And do you know where they are now?”
“Sparring hall, I heard.”
Sparring? Ah, what a clever girl his daughter was. She could easily learn his fighting abilities to better her chances of killing him on the night of the assault. Perfect.
Curious, Ganondorf headed towards the sparring arena as well. With the evening light it provided enough shade, canopies of cloth covering the blinding light so the two fighters could better see their environment. Hemisi stood on one end, twin swords in her hands, amber eyes glaring fiercely at her opponent as a smile pulled at her face. Orik, the Sheikah boy, stood opposite of her, stripped down to a sleeveless purple undertunic and dark brown trousers, clearly not acclimated to the heat of the desert. His platinum blonde hair glowed in the sunset as he watched her sharply, his red eyes narrowed in focus. He had a traditional Sheikah blade in his hands, thinner than the scimitars Hemisi was utilizing.
“Nice of you to join us, dear,” Nabooru said quietly as she raised her hand in the air before snapping, and the match began.
Hemisi took the first move, as she always did. His daughter was an aggressive fighter, as bold with her swords as she was with her words and actions outside of battle. Orik parried it easily, his strength matching hers. Hemisi didn’t waste a second as they stood in a saber lock, kicking one of her feet forward to try and incapacitate the Sheikah at the knees. Orik grunted when her kick got him right on the kneecap, losing his footing a little. Hemisi pushed forward more, swinging her right blade towards his neck. Ganondorf expected another parry or a retreat, assuming the boy could keep up at all, but instead, Orik took the opening that Hemisi left, her torso exposed as she swung inward, and jabbed his sword straight ahead, letting it stop at her chest just as he almost ducked from her blade. The pair froze, knowing the match was over in an instant, a near draw the result. Ganondorf felt himself uncrossing his arms in mild surprise.
“You must expect everyone to be too slow,” Orik commented with a smirk.
“The Hylians usually are,” Hemisi insisted. “Or too gullible.”
Orik’s little smile disappeared in confusion as Hemisi swatted his sword away and tackled him to the ground. He laughed, letting her rest atop him, and she dipped in for a kiss.
Nabooru cleared her throat loudly. Hemisi and the boy froze, seeming to have forgotten that her parents were right there, and they broke apart quickly.
Ganondorf glared at the boy, who shriveled into the sand.
This was going to become a problem, wasn’t it?

Hi Cat!! Hope you're well. I've been wondering, and I don't have anyone to talk book to, so here I am.
What do you think of reading books that might not be written very well? Like don't get me wrong I love a good book where I'm none stop thinking about it and examining it because my mind is blown on how someone could possibly write this, but sometimes, especially when I come back from a reading slump, I just like to read something that makes me feel good.
For example, Iron Wing. I skim a bunch of the parts that are boring, but for the most part, I can enjoy it. But I'll doom scroll on tiktok for a bit feeling bad because I'm apparently reading a book that sucks and everyone hates.
I'm not talking about Collen Hoover type books screw her for ruining booktok.
Hm. Hm.
First of all, thank you for the question! I’ve had this discussion quite a few times and lots of people don’t really like my opinion about it, arguing that literature is entirely subjective and as long as you like it, it’s good literature.
Literary criticism is a fundamental part of literary theory and in my opinion it’s quite important to be able to analyse and criticise texts. Simply, because with literature you cannot only communicate but also manipulate your audience.
Literature has always been more than simple communication and I don’t think that anyone should consume media without thinking about it and criticising it. Because the subtext truly delivers the message.
What is this text about? What is its meaning? Why does it exist in the first place?
Personally, I wouldn’t want to read/watch a story that doesn’t have anything to say — something that is just scene after scene with no actual meaning. That’s a waste of my time.
However, when it comes to “badly written” as in “I dislike the writing style,” that’s different to me.
I read the Spy x Family novel a week ago and personally, I don’t think the writing style was that good. It definitely felt more like a screenplay for an episode.
That could be a translation problem though since I have the English copy. However, the themes and subtext of the little stories, the character dynamics and characters themselves are so dear to me and well-written, I cannot help but enjoy the story.
All together, I think there’s a difference between a good story and an entertaining one. To say a story is good because it is entertaining doesn’t make much sense to me whereas a story obviously can be entertaining because it’s good. Story structure and character dynamics do have certain “rules” you have to obey while writing to make your story work.
I can acknowledge that particular stories aren’t good but entertaining, but arguing that a story is good because it’s entertaining isn’t a valid argument. (In my opinion)
That being said, other people’s opinions on a book you like shouldn’t matter to you. Once you have that book in your hands, the words are yours to read. The text is yours to consume and no matter how you decide to consume media (with criticism in mind or not), do what you think is right for you.
Personally, I believe it’s important to listen to other people when they have valid arguments and make a good point. And even then, you don’t necessarily have to agree with them. I just cannot consume media without turning my brain on. (Unless it’s a show that’s playing in the background because I need someone to talk or I’ll go insane)
But as always, don’t let a random writing blog on tumblr tell you what to think. You have to decide for yourself.
