Din Djarin Cuddle Headcanons

Masterlist || Request

Warnings: Mostly fluff. Touch starved Mando. Hints at more sexual themes, but nothing sexual happens. It is just some lovely cuddle times. also dad!Din and bestfriend cara. not beta read >.<

Pairing: Din Djarin x Gender Neutral Reader

a/n: Hey everyone! If you haven’t noticed I really like cuddling and have been talking about cuddling with Din for a while now. So I finally did up some headcanons. I tried to separate some of the headcanons into sections so they weren’t just one big mass of points. I have quite a bit to throw at you guys lol and there may be some possible fics which arise from these headcanons >.>’

+ Din Djarin loves cuddling, and it’s something he’ll always secretly look forward to. This man is always ready for some cuddle action.

+ Din especially loves cuddling with his significant other. He loves the warmth and intimacy he feels from being snuggled up with his sweet cyar'ika.

+ Admittedly, being so close and wrapped up with the one he loves makes Din feel safe and at ease. He could sleep for hours snuggled up with them.

+ Din isn’t afraid of platonic cuddling either. They haven’t done it very often, but he’s definitely shared some friendly cuddles with Cara, while working together on some jobs. There’s nothing wrong with a pair of good friends enjoying one another’s company, especially if one or both of them need some support.

+ Cara finds it fun to joke and poke fun at Din while cuddling. She likes to tease her friend at any sort of time, but while they’re close like that it just makes it easier for her.

+ Usually, if they partake in cuddling with one another, its for comfort reasons. Things like one of them suffering through a nightmare, or having some sort of emotional turmoil, are the main causes to their cuddle moments.

+ Din still remembers that one day where he had just broke down after almost losing the child. Cara had ended up holding him for hours as she had comforted him after they did manage to rescue the little womprat.

General Cuddling with a Significant Other:

+ Din will find any excuse to cuddle with his significant other, even if he doesn’t really need a reason to cuddle with them.

+ Din knows that just wanting to cuddle is a good enough motive to do so. Although, he can’t help but come up with an excuse anyway. Bottling up his emotions for years has made it hard for him to just be honest with what he wants.

+ From the lack of physical contact he has experienced in his life, he craves the touch of others, especially if it’s coming from his significant other. Cuddling just happens to be an amazing way of achieving his desire of needing to feel close to them.

+ This means that the skin-to-skin contact that sometimes comes from cuddling, can send him into a flushing mess and can lead to some more heated encounters.

+ Cuddling doesn’t always lead to more intimate and sexual moments with him. However, there have been numerous occasions, where a regular cuddle session has turned into a heated affair between him and his significant other. All thanks to the cuddling they had started before hand.

+ It took Din a while to feel comfortable cuddling without all his armor on. Even with his partner wearing a blindfold, the fear of his creed being broken still remains at times.

+ He did eventually become more relaxed with the whole thing. He now actually prefers to cuddle without his armor on.

+ There are times where he still insists on wearing the helmet, but he has become more comfortable with removing the helmet (as long as his significant other has a blindfold on) during their cuddling moments.

+ When he has his helmet off and his partner is blindfolded, he likes to pepper kisses along their skin, humming as he does so. He’ll caress them with feather-like touches, barely making contact with their form, as he uses just enough pressure to still send shivers down their spin.

+ Din actually likes when his significant other well do the same to him. Pressing kisses to his revealed skin and tracing heir fingers against his many scars. Doing so can easily send him into a heated frenzy.

+ Din loves having his hair played with. He could just lay there for hours with his partners fingers twirling and running through his thick locks. The gesture always makes him feel sleepy and is one of the quickest ways to help him de-stress.

+ He likes to play with his partner’s hair too, and he really likes seeing the calming expression that crosses their face as he does. The sight always leaves him feeling happy and content.

+ Din is a literal space heater, as he lets off a lot of body heat naturally. So, its very nice to cuddle with him when its a cold night. He warms his partner right up.

+ On warm nights, him and his significant other will sometimes sleep with less blankets (or even without the blankets altogether). Doing this so that they both can still cuddle and not feel too warm while sleeping.

Cuddling Positions

+ In terms of a favourite cuddle position, he wouldn’t say that he has one. All forms of cuddling are completely valid in his mind.

+ Honestly, as long as he gets to hold and smother his cyar'ika with affection, the position it is done in doesn’t matter to him in the slightest.

+ Din may not have a favourite position, but he definitely prefers ones where he gets to be as close to his significant other as possible. This is most likely due to him being very touched starved and craving their presence.

+ Din is also a healthy mix of being the big spoon and the little spoon. He loves being both immensely.

+ He actually didn’t think he was the little spoon type of person. He thought for sure that he was a big spoon kind of cuddlier. Although, this thought process had all changed after one fateful night.

+ On this night, Din had gone to bed much later than his partner—who was already fast asleep—doing his best not to wake them. His partner had felt his presence anyway though, and they had rolled over towards him more in their sleep. As they did so, their arm had circled around his waist, their face burying itself into the back of his neck as the front of their body pressed tightly into his back. Thus, effectively making him the little spoon for the first time in his life.

+ He had quickly learned from this moment that he loved being the little spoon. He just felt so relaxed and safe like this with his partner.

+ In terms of where he likes to cuddle with his partner, he definitely prefers a more private place. One of their cots (and eventually their shared cot) being the most common.

+ Although, Din does like to let his partner sit in his lap in the pilot chair. He likes just sitting there with them in his arms, while watching stars dash by their sights.

First Time Cuddling with Significant Other:

+ The first time Din had ever cuddled with his partner was before the two of them had even started dating.

+ The one night—while staying on a very cold and icy planet—the night had gotten so cold that the Razor’s heating system could not keep up with it. This is what had lead to them sharing a cot.

+ It was only to conserve body heat of course, and totally wasn’t because they both had a secret crush on one another.

+ He had taken off his armor, leaving the helmet firmly in place, so he was in nothing but his undershirt and pants. Not feeling comfortable with removing anymore of his clothing.

+ The two of them had started out back to back, but by morning the both of them had awoken in each other's arms, having begun cuddling sometime in the middle of the night.

+ This was probably also the first moment that Din had realized just how much he enjoyed cuddling, especially if it was with his future significant other.

More Cuddling Things:

+ Din’s partner will often find him cuddling with the child. The little one would be snuggled up to Din, while being hugged closely on top of his adoptive fathers chest.

+ Sometimes Din’s partner could also be found cuddling with the child while sleeping, which leads to the bounty hunter dropping whatever he was doing and joining them instantly.

+ If Din and his partner also have their own children, he can be found cuddling with them as well. Usually him and the children can be found all in one big pile sleeping where ever they had managed to pass out together.

+ Family cuddles are an absolute must in their household and happen quite frequently.

+ After some really tough jobs, Din likes to just melt into his significant other’s arms, sometimes even dozing off there on the spot from how tired he is.

+ Din thinks that the best naps also involve some sort of cuddling. He finds that he gets a more peaceful rest if he goes to sleep snuggled up with someone.

+ If possibly, Din Djarin would live the rest of his life happily wrapped up and cuddled with his loved ones.

BUILD: scrawny / bony / slender / fit / athletic / curvy / herculean / pudgy / average

HEIGHT: I’ve been playing with something like 6....2? not to mention he likes wearing heels, sometimes real big ones

SCARS / MARKS: various little nicks and dings on his hands from playing with knives a lot, one or two up his arms from worse stunts gone wrong. he has what is medically called a fistula going through the palm of his left hand which is built up scar tissue that goes all the way through which he did so he can pull off the trick of stabbing himself through his hand with no pain or blood. he’s got a faded scar or two on his face from getting into fights, and maybe a bullet scar on the shoulder? probably something across his ribs. I’ll figure them all out someday lol. he also has a whole bunch of tattoos that I also hope to someday fully diagram

ABILITIES / POWERS: as I said before, he’s got too many skills to list, but as for actual powers, he’s got a blurb on his about page but basically he can teleport small objects and manipulate their speed/direction. he can also sense where things are around him and generally how much volume and mass they have.

RESTRICTIONS: for his powers, there’s definitely limits to the size of object he can affect as well as the strength and speed of his power. as a frame of reference, it would be more effective for him to lift and throw a heavy object physically than to use his powers. for now at least. they’re bound to get stronger as he gets older and more practiced. for physical limitations, he may train his body well, but he’s still a skinny smoker. he fights smart but someone bigger could easily overpower him and he’s not great at cardio. he’s also not great at music

FOOD: doesn’t really care much about food??? tends to eat whatever’s easy. relative to other foods, he does sort of enjoy a good ol’ chicago pizza or hot dog

DRINK: milkshakes? cola is alright. he drinks lattes but mostly as an excuse to do latte art. that’s also a secret.

PIZZA TOPPING: pepperoni

COLOR: acid green is his trademark color and of course he likes a good healthy helping of black. he also secretly likes gentle pastels

MUSIC GENRE: rock, punk, metal, and feelgood anime openings/soundtracks

BOOK GENRE: this boy has read nothing but magic books his whole life. maybe supplemented by psychology, sociology, performance and such

MOVIE GENRE: fairy tail-esque stuff? definitely studio ghibli, Mamoru Hosoda movies, princess bride, willow, etc.

Humphf. This just deleted my ask. I shall try again. Top 5 'Take me now Daddy/Mummy'. Top 5 'KILL ME NOW'. And why :D

So this will be multi-fandom.

Top 5 Take Me Nows (in no particular order)

1. Kenshi Takahashi ‘Mortal Kombat’ - The lithe build, black hair, telekinetic/telepathy powers. It’s all just so attractive. He’s polite but he has a little snark that you wouldn’t expect fro him. When he called Tri-borg an asshole it had me rolling! And when Jacqui told him he has “less fart jokes” than Johnny! So he CAN be immature and tell some stupid jokes. And I’m juvenile enough to laugh at that shit.

Was he a great dad to Takeda? No. He is trying to reconnect, and it still doesn’t make up for time lost. I do commend him for growing up and admitting his faults to his son and try to be in his future now. But the issues between them is going to take a lot of time and patience to deal with. I wish MK would incorporate something like that in game. *sighs*

But in conclusion. Yes, he can get it in.

2. Cullen ‘Dragon Age’ Series - He’s such a sweetheart and so polite to women. And watching him through 3 games, he changes so much. He went from shy Chantry Templar to paranoid about mages in Origins. DA2 He was the Knight commander’s right hand man, and then saw how corrupted the Chantry system and Meredith was. And in Inquisition, you now see the end result after 10 years and he’s now commanding an army outside the Chantry’s influence. He’s had a lot of character development and it’s a wonderful result.

3. Geralt ‘The Witcher’ - OK. OK! OK! THIS motherfucker can totally get it in! He’s banged a lot women in his games, and a few monsters or two (vampires, succubus, etc.). He knows what he’s doing. And those scars? *faints* I’m fucking dead.

4. Jarlaxle ‘Drizzt Do’Urden’ book sagas - This is a book character I’ve been following since middle school. (And I’m now almost 30). I have an unashamed thing for elves. Especially dark elves. And Jarlaxle is so different from them all. Just about every piece of clothing he has is enchanted. His rainbow cloak, big ass hat, pirate eye patch, his boots. It’s all enchanted with magic and he’s got the charisma to boot. And elves live a long time... so you know he’s got the experience. ;)

5. Sev RC1207 ‘Star Wars: Republic Commando’ video game - I’m just gonna say it. ANY of the clones can get it. But more so Sev can get it! This is one of my favorite games in the world. I can sit down and play it at any time, and it holds a special place in my heart. Sev is just a badass mofo. And the way Karen Traviss describes the clones in her book series (which is sadly not canon anymore) the clones are ripped AF. Sev can get it. No doubt.

Honorable mentions: Erron Black and Blackwall

Top 5 Kill Me Nows (in no particular order) So I took this more as what annoys me in games every time I encounter them. LOL

1. Sloth Demon in the Circle Tower ‘Dragon Age: Origins’ - I HATE having to go through that goddamn dream sequence every time I decide to play a new character. I get to this part and I’m like “fucking kill me!”

2. Letho ’Witcher 2′ - Having to fight this fucker was difficult! I died so many times it wasn’t even funny! (Also, he could get it in)

3. Shao Kahn ‘Mortal Kombat’ - Every time I see him, it’s just the typical villain. Powerful dude wants to be ruler, super fucking evil for no reason other than wanting power, and will kill bitches and take them as concubines. It’s so been done before! “Again. A-fucking-gain. Nothing new. Nothing change. Same old shit. Same old fucking shit!”

4. Every time someone mentions a ‘paradox’ in the Legacy of Kain Series - I loved this series growing up, but all the fucking time travel and paradoxes made it confusing AF! Love the games. But goddamn I don’t think the writers knew what the fuck was going on.

5. Having to go mine planets in Mass Effect 2 - Oh, you don’t want your team to die? Better spend some hours mining planets to upgrade your ship or your fucking crew will die. Oh, and let’s not forget, it’s super boring. -_-

Sorry, I just had to air my grievances.

[OKAY FINALLY. Sorry my love, you know how I am…. so slow and…………………………… soooo slow. lol I hope you like it.

“Please… I need you.”

When Shepard woke today things still felt off… They felt off because the night before Garrus had given her an ultimatum. Well, it was more of an observation followed by a question than an actual ultimatum, but it had the same effect.

It was something like ‘Hey, I know you’ve been flirting with the drell and since we’ve been hooking up, it’s me or him… who’s it gonna be?’ And even though she knew that Garrus had a right to know, she didn’t realize he wanted to.

She’d always had a thing for him of course and since they started their late night ‘hangouts’ that crush had gotten pretty bad. Which was probably why she found herself flirting with Thane so much now that she thought about it…

Not unlike you to push someone away when they got too close… As she lay staring at the exposed stars that pass by above her, she realized that most definitely was the case. She was doing it again… but maybe the damage hadn’t been done. Maybe she could fix this still…

Only, would Garrus still want her after last night?

Most men didn’t do well with the ‘uh……….. I should go.’ especially when those men where Garrus, and knew exactly why she used that excuse.

That answer was shit, she knew it– but feelings and emotions had always been hard for Shepard, even before the whole dying-and-being-brought-back-a-cybernetic-zombie thing.

Plus with everything going on and the Suicide Mission coming up… There was a lot on her mind. Too much to really justify a relationship.

Jane drew in a deep breath, pulling her hands to her face and running them through her crimson hair in a stretch After an exasperated sigh she pulled herself from bed and threw on her N7 hoodie, and some Blast-O’s slippers ready to make her way downstairs.

Her plan had been to get some breakfast and a nice big cup of coffee… to avoid the situation for as long as possible. But once she reached the kitchen and looked down that hall towards the Main Battery, she just knew what she had to do.

She turned, and strode straight towards it with determination. When Shepard reached the door, she paused second guessing herself for a moment… The light was green which was a good sigh she supposed, but just because it wasn’t locked didn’t mean he wanted to see her.

It was only about 0600 hours and aside from the quiet humming and the soft click of nails on keyboard from the other side of the door the air was still. She knew he’d be working on calibrating something… no doubt trying not to think about their previous conversation and its complete failure.

She raised a fist, hovering just before the door… almost knocking more than once as she pulled a nervous lip into her mouth; biting it harder than she should trying to regain that strength once more. Upon her exhale she closed her eyes, and knocked three times.

The clicking stopped abruptly, but Garrus didn’t say anything.

Jane lowered her brow, pulling her face into a small frown as she lean her forehead to the door; waiting.

“Please, Garrus… I need you.” and when she said that the mechanical door buzzed open.

Garrus was standing there, closer than she expected he’d of been and when he looked at her she stood up straighter and cleared her throat uncomfortably. “Do you have a minute?”

His normally warm eyes were sad. He didn’t seem angry with her, just hurt and Shepard didn’t like it one bit. But she just didn’t know what to say last night… Or maybe she did and she was just too scared. One thing she did know was that she wouldn’t make the same mistake again.

“Garrus, I’m sorry.”

“You don’t have a reason to be sorry, Shepard…” he said quietly with mandibles pressed tight to his face as he stepped aside allowing her further entry. After a moment he started again, leaning against the console as he crossed his arms. “Really. I sort of just sprung it on you. I-I should have know better…”

“No. It’s not that…” Jane was somehow perfectly calm as she stepped forward wearing a faint smile.

“I understand why you’d want him.”

“Garrus,” she tried to stop him, but he continued looking to his feet as his tone raised slightly, not in anger but deep in thought– trying to understand.

“He’s mysterious, and… he’s good with a sniper– not like you didn’t already have a perfectly good turian already–

“Garrus! Will you shut the hell up?” when Shepard interrupted him this time, her eyes were light despite her volume. A soft chuckle later, and she slid a hand to the scarred side of his face; resting it there lightly. “I’m trying to tell you that I love you here, big guy.”

He pulled his crystal eyes forward almost as if he thought she was just playing a joke on him. As if her words couldn’t possibly be true. “You…”

Jane nodded fully closing the space between them, nearly touching his chest when she spoke; raising her other hand to rest around his carapace. “Yeah, I do.”

Garrus let out a sigh of relief that echoed through all layers of his voice. He nodded shallowly as he slid his hands to rest at her hips, lightly pulling her closer as he ease himself into the situation and his realization.

“It’s always been you Garrus… you just caught me off guard is all. I might be the great Commander Shepard… but I still get scared sometimes.” she leaned her forehead to meet his, the cool sensation of his plating instantly grounding her.

“You had me worried for awhile there,” Garrus cooed back, his comfort growing with each second that passed. “but you should know I’d never hurt you… you don’t have anything to be afraid of with me.”

“I know, Garrus. Wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.” she said with a smile pulling him closer, pressing her nose agains this softly.

“Good. Oh, and Shepard? I love you too.” he smiled then, mandibles flickering lightly as he kissed her.

Jane wasn’t sure when he’d gotten so good at this, or if ‘this’ would even last. With the Reapers, and the mission, things didn’t look good. Love didn’t look good.

But it didn’t really matter. What mattered was that she had him, and that he had her and that together they could do anything.

HI GUYS HAHAHAHA

so sorry, I know it’s been a while since I posted. June & July have been some busy months, and it’ll be getting busy with school starting two weeks from now, and with my eighteenth birthday coming up next month! So, updates might take a while longer. ):

But don’t worry! There will be updates, and I will fulfill your requests soon. I’ll post a list of my planned fanfics soon, so y'all know. (: Thank you so much for your patience and support, guys! For now, here’s a little something, to get to know me better. 😂

1. Coke or Pepsi? Neither. I don’t drink soft drinks.  

2. Disney or Dreamworks? Pixar? HAHAHAHA but I can settle for Disney. I grew up with Dreamworks’ Shrek though, and no matter how stupid those movies are, they have a special place in my heart.  

3. Coffee or tea? Tea! But I can have the occasional coffee. 

4. Books or movies? Both.  

5. Windows or Mac? Windows! Never had a Mac.  

6. DC or Marvel? Marvel. ❤️ 

7. Xbox or Playstation? Wii? Lol, I grew up playing the Wii, and a bit of Xbox. Because I enjoy the Mario racing games, even when I suck at it. Playstation is cool though, I play Little Big Planet or Castle Crushers sometimes with my cousins. 

8. Dragon Age or Mass Effect? Neither. I don’t play that much video games, tbh. 

9. Night owl or early bird? Night owl. My body clock is fucked up. 

10. Cards or chess? Cards! I know more than a handful of card games, thanks to being bored in my grandma’s house as a kid lol. 

11. Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate! I prefer Cookie Dough, though. 

12. Vans or Converse? Converse? I own neither, but I’ve always wanted a pair of Converse. 

13. Lavellan, Trevelyan, Cadash or Adaar? It makes me feel so disconnected from society to not know any of these. ): 

14. Fluff or angst? Angst. The pain gives me pleasure. 😭 But I also need a dose of fluff to soothe it huhuhuhu. 

15. Beach or forest? Beach! I’ve been to more beaches than forests, and I think they’re pretty cool if it’s not too blazing hot. 

16. Dogs or cats? Neither. I have a fear of both (I’m so sorry). ): But I can deal with puppies, lol. 

17. Clear skies or rain? Cloudy skies! Best weather ever. But I can go for rain, if I’m not going outside, lol. 

18. Cooking or eating out? Eating out. Because I lack a great amount of knowledge in cooking. ): 

19. Spicy food or mild food? Mild. Can’t deal with spicy food well.  

20. Halloween/Samhain or solstice/yule/Christmas? Christmas, I guess? We don’t celebrate Halloween much here. 

21. Would you rather forever be a little too cold or a little too hot? Too cold. I hate the feeling of sticky, sweaty skin. 

22. If you could have a superpower what would it be? I’ve always imagined myself having control over the earth. Create earthquakes, tsunamis, that kind of thing. 

23. Animation or live action? I appreciate both. 

24. Paragon or renegade? I dunno if this means perfection vs rebel, but if it is, I choose paragon. Although I’m not one for convention or tradition, I’m more of a perfectionist, and I always do my best to achieve whatever standards I have set upon myself (and it can have a lot of downsides, unfortunately).  

25. Baths or showers? Showers! Fast and easy. But I’d like to have a bath in a tub some day, just to relax. 

26. Team cap or team ironman? Don’t make me choose between my parents.  

27. Fantasy or sci-fi? I’m not a huge fan of either, but I prefer fantasy. I like magic and dragons and witches.

abandon hope of not seeing spoilers, all ye who click the cut

so, first thing’s first: ryder is a treasure and probably the best protagonist that bioware has come up with since hawke or shepard. inquisitor whom??? they’re absolutely hilarious and whenever they open their mouth i know something delightfully terrible is going to come out of it. i find it interesting that the older folks who play this game (late twenties and over) HATE the dialogue but the younger folks who are around ryder’s actual age don’t? it’s an interesting split that i could write essays on just bc of how ryder talks bc it’s so similar to how i talk.

god she’s such a little asshole i love her i would die for her.

THE PROS: -fantastic combat that is probably the best that bioware has ever done, not having a set class is wonderful and being able to switch to do whatever you want is [prayer hands emoji] i can finally be the biotic infiltrator combo of my dreams -I LOVE BEING ABLE TO PROJECT MY DADDY ISSUES ONTO RYDER THANK YOU FOR THAT BIOWARE -kissable!! turian!! gotta Kiss That Turian!! -the tempest crew feels like a tight knit family, they feel Real, hearing them banter on the ship itself is lovely and seeing how their relationship grows over the course of the game is delightful. the movie night single handedly saved me. the emails and the message board killed me dead. -nakmor kesh is my girlfriend -liara t’soni cameos -SAM, i love that ai i hope he knows that. he’s a very different character than edi and i really like that? i like the relationship he has with ryder it’s a lot different than shepard’s relationship with legion and with edi -the little easter eggs scattered around, like hunting dr. okeer’s research and finding zaeed’s son -the main story missions really felt like mass effect, and there’s some great choices you have to make that i hope will have actual effects later in the series -STUNNING scenery, holy shit -nomad banter -peebee/vetra, specifically. thank you sheryl chee for my life. -THE RYDER FAMILY WHAT THE HECK I LOVE THESE ASSHOLES -loyalty missions were a lot of fun, liam’s specifically is SO funny i love that boy -i would die for the tempest’s crew THE CONS: -too big. way, way, WAY too big. like take the hinterlands and make it into several PLANETS big. it’s exhausting and it was neat at first but by the end i just wanted it to be done, i had to resort to doing a speed run just so i wouldn’t burn myself out on the first try. if i wanted to play an open world game i’d play world of warcraft or skyrim, honestly. the open world aspect of it is dEFINITELY one of the game’s biggest weak spots, and i’m def gonna save my completionist run for when some mods and patches come out so i don’t burn myself out real quickly. i still haven’t recovered from my dai completionist run and that was a year ago. -the loyalty missions are fun and interesting, but except for cora’s they really didn’t seem to have much of a point other than unlocking romances. in me2 the point of the loyalty missions was that the crew would draw a line with shepard somewhere, things you said and did could lose their loyalty and if you lost their loyalty the characters could and often did die in the suicide mission. these seemed more like personal quests, they didn’t even unlock new outfits :/ -okay. listen. i understand that garrus is a fan favorite. and i love him too. but holy shit liara had a VOICE cameo and he still got the most references. that goddamn archangel paintjob? “reach and flexibility”? having his picture in the codex? his goddamn father being in a flashback? liam mentioning a scarred turian vigilante? meanwhile kaidan and ashley get nothing, lmao, Okay. like shit even shepard only got referenced ONCE like come on y’all. not even gonna mention the battle of the citadel? that was a big goddamn plot point, especially since ryder was RAISED ON THE CITADEL? you’d think that the sovereign attack would be traumatizing. -dragon age characters got references but ash and kaidan don’t.........lol.........i see you bioware.............. -what was even the point of editing shepard’s gender -if you’re gonna have references you should at least have a little reference for every major character like the game is so fucking big you could have done it without being in your face. ellen’s role with biotics? reference baat. general williams and shanxi. wrex when talking to drack’s clan urdnot friend. -i really wish they’d have at least had some major choices from me1 imported in, like “did the council survive, who was the virmire survivor, was everyone recruited, did wrex survive” etc. -speaking off, there’s plot holes for days. i can’t get a confirmation on when in 2185 they left, but if they left before shepard woke up and they didn’t ever recruit garrus in me1 then WHY would garrus’s dad talk to alec about it. the fuck my dudes. -yeah. plot holes for days. i’m tired and a bitter OT fucker. -gil’s.......entire.............storyline............lol GOD bioware...... -having the two crime lords being the latino man and the black woman. i see you bioware. -sloane’s entire storyline god bioware........... -the remnant are literally just synthetic protheans and the kett are organic reapers -i’m tired of this trend in bioware games where they use the “SILLY MORTALS YOU CANNOT EVEN COMPREHEND OUR ACTIONS, THEY ARE BEYOND YOUR UNDERSTANDING” like with the reapers it was cool, corypheus was a disaster and quite frankly so was the kett but whatever. -activating the monoliths and having to do sudoku. why. -not prioritizing quests properly. you could miss one of the biggest twists in the game bc you don’t finish that fetch quest to get all the memory triggers, and that twist was the main one that i actually wanted to see (shepard and the reapers and liara’s SOS) -PEEBEE’S SEX SCENE GOD. TOO MUCH. BIOWARE. -JAAL WITH HIS VAGINA HEAD GOING DOWN ON SARA RYDER. FUCK.

that’s all i can think of atm but my main issue with the game is that bioware doesn’t seem to know how to prioritize quests, it’s SO BIG, and they treat their mlm like garbage. also racist tropes ahoy.

i’m really excited to see where they take the franchise tho! definitely got some solid future plot points with whatever the fuck the remnant were, whatever the kett are after (ugh...), discovering what happened in the milky way, who killed jien garson, who is the benefactor (my money is illusive man and tann’s power hungry froggy ass had her killed and it was unrelated just coincidental), ellen ryder’s recovery, the quarian ark, etc.

i hope they keep the same squad for the next game! continue the romances as well as add in new ones, maybe add a couple of new squaddies. i like having the same characters overlap in different games, it makes you actually care about them. add in scott/sara as a squaddie! LESBIAN/GAY SQUADDIES. keep ryder as the protag or so help me god..........

it really, really makes me miss the original trilogy tho. and playing it knowing there’s a bunch of ppl who wont ever touch it but will play andromeda hurts me deeply.

So there was this Mass Effect Andromeda 30 day countdown thing going around that I never bothered to start because I was lazy but now that the hype is hitting me full force, I’ve decided to be self indulgent and catch up with it for the final days. I’ll put it under the cut bc it’s long lol

30 Days: Will you play SisRyder or BroRyder first? Why? How does your Ryder define their gender?

Definitely SisRyder because I always play as a girl if the option is given to me. She identifies as a cis female.

29 Days: What is your Ryder’s name? Why did you pick this name - is there a meaning or origin story behind it? Do they go by any nicknames? What would you name their sibling, father and mother if you were able to choose?

Tobin Ryder! She is named after my favorite soccer player. If I could name her brother, his name would be Christian. Her father’s name stays Alec, and her mother was Elizabeth. Tobin doesn’t go by any nicknames.

28 Days: Are you going to use the default appearance or create a custom Ryder? If custom, describe your Ryder’s physical appearance (hair color, eye color, skin color, height, weight, facial features, any scars or tattoos, racial origin, etc). If you have art and/or a face-claim, feel free to add them here.

I’m gonna create a custom character, but she will look relatively similar. The ponytail style works for Tobin because she used to play sports and got used to tying it up. She has brown eyes and light freckles on her face. Honestly her face claim is prolly just gonna be Tobin Heath, who she is named after, with some slight differences ofc.

27 Days: Are you going to use the default appearance for Ryder’s sibling or customize them? Describe your ideas for their sibling’s and father’s physical appearance.

I will prolly keep her brother as the default since I think he looks fine. But if Tobin ends up looking a lot different than I pictured, I might tinker with his look a bit.

26 Days: Do you have a specific class profile or mix of class profiles in mind for Ryder?

Def Vanguard. She picks up some infiltrator abilities due to her desire to learn how to fire a sniper rifle. She’s not used to hanging back and timing her shots, so it’s sort of a goal for her.

25 Days: Describe Ryder’s favorite combat style. Bioware call Peebee a “gunslinger” and describe Liam as a “close-range fighter” - how would you describe Ryder’s combat role/strengths? What are some of their favorite biotic/tech/other abilities?

She could definitely be considered like a bulldozer. She loves getting in people’s faces and taking them head on. She’s very impatient on the battlefield, so she really likes using abilities like biotic charge that allow her to zoom up to her enemy real quick.

24 Days: Which squadmates do you think will best compliment Ryder’s combat style? Alternatively, who do you plan to take out most in the field?

Companions like Vetra or Cora would prolly compliment her style well since they seem much more tactical.

23 Days: Which weapons or category of weapons will Ryder prefer? Describe their favorite loadout.

She is absolutely in love with shotguns and never leaves the ship without one. It’s short-ranged and powerful and she couldn’t ask for anything better. She also really takes to melee weapons like the asari swords.

22 Days: Will Ryder craft? What are you most excited about crafting? Do you have any names in mind already for weapons?

Tobin takes really good care of her weapons, so she’ll definitely be adding modifications to them rather quickly. She also unironically likes really edgy names, so she carries around a shotgun she named “Krogan’s Fury.”

21 Days: What are Ryder’s personality traits? Describe 5 strengths and 5 flaws.

She’s very outgoing and friendly, but she’s also laid back in a sense that she doesn’t get shaken or worried very easily (unless it involves her brother). She’s a great friend, and will listen to anyone when they need her. But she also has no filter and often says things without thinking them through. She also has trouble focusing, which ended up affecting her performance in school. Despite that, she can come across as a bit too cocky.

20 Days: What first impressions does Ryder tend to give people? Do they have any ‘odd’ or specific mannerisms, habits or other quirks? How do they present and carry themselves?

She gives off a jock vibe. Some people have it in their heads that she’s not too bright since she values sports and is generally pretty loud. She also walks with her head up high, which puts some people off. But once people get to know her, she’s almost universally liked because she’s an easy person to be yourself around.

19 Days: Where would Ryder fall in the classic Paragon/Renegade morality system? What would their D&D alignment be? If you know their personality type in any personality typing systems (such as MBTI and Enneagram - you can find various type descriptions and tests using Google), feel free to add and discuss them here.

Tobin would fall closer to Paragon because she truly wants to help humanity and all those in need. When a situation involves her friends, she occasionally makes rash decisions when things could have been solved peacefully. I would consider her to be Neutral Good.

18 Days: What qualities does Ryder like and dislike in other people? Are there any things they particularly appreciate or can’t stand?

She doesn’t take too well to people who think they’re above everyone else and assert their opinions when no one asked. She tends to make the closet bonds to those quieter than her. When she was younger, she grew up with sports teams full off outgoing girls like her, so she learned to appreciate those who are more lowkey. But she still gets along with others like her since they tend to share her same enthusiasm.

17 Days: List some of Ryder’s favorite things - colors, food, music, etc. Is there anything of this nature that they hate? Do they have any hobbies or skills outside of combat?

She loves music and she’s quite gifted musically. Along with her brother, she has a naturally good voice, and they often sing with each other to lift their friends moods and overall have a good time. Tobin is also particularly attached to soccer and will practice shooting whenever she can. When she’s aboard the Nexus, it’s the one thing she misses most.

16 Days: How would Ryder define their sexuality?

She’s gay and has known it all her life. Her brother is bisexual, but he came out at a much older age.

15 Days: Delve into the Ryder family background - how is/was their relationship with their father, sibling and mother? Do they get along, hero worship, close twin connection, sibling rivalry, was it strained, was it distant, etc.

Both Tobin and Christian have never gotten along with their father. They always found him too uptight, and he never seemed to have time to devote to them. When their mother died, Tobin used her sports as an excuse to say away from home as much as possible so she wouldn’t have to be stuck around her father. She is, however, extremely close with her brother. They were each other’s best friends after their mother died, and their bond grows stronger with each passing day.

14 Days: Describe some important or formative events in Ryder’s history. How did these impact and shape them?

Honestly, the death of their mother shaped them the most. After she was gone, they had no one they could hide behind. They were forced to grow up because they knew their father wouldn’t bother making an effort to care for them. They elevated each other into who they are today.

13 Days: Why did Ryder join the Alliance military? Later on, what were Ryder’s reasons for signing up to the Andromeda Initiative? Were they seeking adventure (or glory, or a challenge), wanting a new start, running from something, following their family, trying to secure a future for humanity, did they simply feel railroaded into it, etc.

She wanted to get away. After a while, it felt as though there was no more room to grow while stuck on the Citadel. She wanted to test herself, prove that she had the potential to be great. At first, she wasn’t too happy her father was chosen to be the Pathfinder, but she soon realized that she would be able to prove her worth to him through this journey. She signed up as fast as she could.

12 Days: How will Ryder feel upon waking up from cryo? Relieved, excited, scared, impatient to get going, lost, etc.

She’s disoriented but excited. She’s ready to explore their new world, make a name for herself. However, that excitement turns to uncertainty once she realizes her brother hasn’t awakened. Tobin believes in herself deep down, but this is a big new thing and for all the major hurdles in her life, she has had Christian by her side. It takes adjustments for sure.

11 Days: Once in Andromeda, what are Ryder’s goals? What drives them?

Proving to herself that she can be what humanity needs to find a new world. The closer she becomes to her squadmates, the more she strives for success because she wants a bright future for them as well.

10 Days: Will Ryder ever miss the Milky Way? What things and places will they miss most?

A part of her will always miss the Milky Way. It was her home, and her fondest memories (her mother) will remain in the galaxy forever. She also misses the old soccer field she played on with her friends. But at the end of the day, she doesn’t regret her decision to join the Andromeda Initiative, and she elects to make new memories that are just a good.

First I will start with the Flight Rising ones lmao. Here is my lair. Btw whenever I say “cousin” or “niece” or “uncle” or “auntie” is 90% just a love title and not actually related by blood lol.

Carina : Daughter of Saeldur and step daughter of Sofia. She is a girl who was born blind and was the only survivor from her siblings after a tragic incident, but she doesnt remember since she was very young, her father raised her on her own until fate crossed her with who would later become her step-mother and continued living happily with a newly made family. She is very nice but rather prideful, doesnt like people treating her like a child.

Janet: Mariu’s wife. Leader of the clan, she is very friendly and calm, usually playing the role of a mother figure for others. Because of her big and intimidating image she tries her best to be nice to others to show she wishes no harm to anyone. She is very protective with her husband, Marius, and her children, Janus, Sunshine, Brianna and Maegan. She enjoys strategy and mysteries, thus loving to take the role of tactician in battles.

Marius: Janet’s husband. Leader of the clan. He is very anxious and has adhd. He wears a pair of goggles he never takes them off. This is because (In his dragon form) he dislikes his colors, and the tint of red he sees through the glasses gives him his desired colors. Because of this he has forgotten how things actually look like and sees everything with a red-ish tint. He has a great agility and is a great runner. He loves his wife, Janet, and his children, Janus, Sunshine, Brianna and Maegan very much.

Stormbloom: Greatest fighter of the clan. She has gone through every aspect of battle, from Fighter, Tank, Healer, Assassin and is currently a Mage. She is a virtuos jack of all trades when it comes to battle. She has a stutter, which usually makes others to not take her seriously before fighting. Big mistake. She is the closest friend of Marius and Janet, and is married to Navid.

Ronald: A great mage and scholar of the clan. He has a natural affiction to the arcane and has dedicated his life to it. He is a lover of stories, and as such married a storyteller, Rosaline, with whom he had a lovely daughter, Flowa, who he loves very much. He is not very talkative, but loves to listen to others.

Rosaline: Quite the party lover, she is a happy-go lucky kind of woman. An avid storyteller, specially those meant for little children. She is married to Ronald and has a lovely daughter, Flowa.

Flowa: The adventurer of the clan. Since she was little she would love to go on long walks, exploring the nearbys of the clan, acompaigned by her aunt Stormbloom. As she grew up she was more and more curious about what was out there, setting in long travels to all places, bringing home the most incredible things she could find to share with her clan. Has a boyfriend named Sigil and a sibling like relationship with Janus and Sunshine, and her best friend on all the world is her uncle Ulises.

Ulises: He is hyperactive and usually gets excited easily, ending up in him getting tangled up (in his dragon form). He is usually quite friendly and fun to be around with. Has a very close relationship with his niece Flowa.

Navid: A mischiveous guy. Loves to go into bets with people- and he usually wins. Who the hell knows how he does it but he wins most of the time. “Fools luck” is his reason behind it. Stormbloom’s husband.

Janus: Eldest of twins (Sunshine) and of siblings (Brianna & Meagan). Looks up to her mother the most, hoping to follow her steps as leader of the clan when the time comes. He has a charming smile and voice, which he uses to make friends easily.

Sunshine: Rogue of the clan. Second eldest of Janet & Marius’ childs. Much less friendly than her brother, but makes sure to take care of her younger sisters. Takes the task of scouting the clan’s lands to make sure everyone is safe.

Brianna: She takes care of the coastal side of her clan’s lands. Its pretty small, but does a great job keeping it rolling. She loves the sea more than anyone else, and hopes one day to get her own fleet and cruise the sea. She is Cesar’s girlfriend and helps him with materials for his experiments.

Maegan: Youngest of Janet & Marius’ childs. She has taken the call of a deep and acient magic force, being the vident and seer of the clan. Her own body is now of mystical roots and flowers, which she uses for her work.

Luinil: Blacksmith of the clan. Mother of Sofia and step-grandmother of Carina. She joined the clan back when her daughter was still a baby to make sure she had a safe place to grow up. Takes the task of teaching everyone in the clan to craft, being a master smith, and has taken the spot as everyone’s grandma. But the kind of grandma who would burn you in a family meeting and you would know you ass deserved it.

Caiden: He arrived much later to the clan, as a refugee who was running from his past life. He found a family for the first time in his life, and has sworn to repay that however he can. The language is still an obstacle for him, but he is trying his hardest to learn it well.

Chaser: The bard of the clan. She is a calm girl. Tries to not take life too seriously, because its too short to not enjoy it. Loves a soft melody and to play in the top of trees, where the wind can be her duet.

Daenerys: A great swordman. Joined the clan basically on accident. He was planning on leaving the next day he arrived but things just kept happening that wouldnt allow him to leave. Eventually he just accepted his fate. Or so he says. Truth be told, he took the task of tutoring the young ones in the art of the blade, since Stormbloom was learning medicine at the time, and he eventually just grew fond of all the kids and couldnt leave them. Ruha’s husband.

Ruha: The clan’s dancer. A weightless soul who dances her worries away and makes it so that she always gets what she wants. She has her way with people but honestly she only enjoys the company of few. Those being Chaser, Caiden and Daenerys.

Sigil: An amateur tinker and inventor. Cesar’s discipule and Flowa’s boyfriend. He is very sweet and has vowed to come with an invention to help Flowa in her travels. (Gotta work on him lmao)

Whisper: Camila’s personal ninja retainer. Boyfriend of Camila, Redalia and Briar. Rarely skeaps more than necesarly, but has a smooth voice. His voice sounds the way dew rolls from a marigold’s petal. This however makes him rather shy about speaking.

Camila: Daenerys’ best pupil who he sees as a father figure. Daughter of Konani and sister of Amber. Girlfriend of Redalia, Briar and Whisper. Quite the hot-head and rather impuslive, which has made her go into many fights before. Not like that is gonna stop her from following her guts any time soon tho.

Amber: A monk. Konani’s daughter and Camila’s sister. Used to be as reckless as her sister, but took the path of meditation and discipline, which have changed her ways and has learnt to be one with her inner peace. But will still beat anyone’s ass if the situation calls for it. Usually the one who heals her sister when she gets in fights.

Redalia: Midwife. Girlfriend of Camila, Whisper and Briar. Is always seen with her pet Sapphire, usually taking strolls around the clan’s lands during the night. Usually the one who prevents Camila from getting into even more fights.

Briar: Redalia’s personal ninja retainer. Boyfriend of Camila, Whisper and Redalia. Cursed or blessed according to who you ask, he hold ice and aurora powers, which he has refused to truly make use of until he understands them better. Everyone agree’s he has a cold heart tho, some say is a side effect of the whole ice deal.

Sofia: Saeldur’s wife. Luinil’s daughter. Carina’s step-mother. A pupil of both Daenerys and Ruha, she knows how to dance with a blade, in both senses. She is a person with lots of loves inside her, although her silver toungue can get in the way every now and then.

Saeldur: Carina’s father. Sofia’s husband. He could participate on a “Father of the year” contest and be disqualified for over-proficiency on it. A true model figure to any kid, he always puts the needs of his loved ones before his own. Even if he can be a little bit too exagerated about it sometimes.

Cesar: A great inventor and scientist. Brianna’s boyfriend. his constant face could be described as “need coffee asap”. He is not very good at comunicting or socializing or expressing his emotions at all, but he tries his best for Brianna to make sure she knows he loves her. Moved to the shore so he could pass more time with her and picked up on sea experiments to make use of the natural resources.

Sonia: Devoted paladin of her goddess, the Lightweaver. Along with Sunna takes care of the temple inside the clan’s lands, and will live up to her last day serving her goddess to the fullest. She has fought many battles in her name and proudly wears the resulting scars, for she has been blessed by her goddess to continue living serving her.

Sunna: Devoted cleric of his goddess, the Lightweaver. Along with Sonia takes care of the temple inside the clan’s lands. Takes care of doing the dialy masses and as an intermediary between the clan residents and the great Lightweaver. Has incrusted great parts of his body with gold, for he shall shine with the light the Lightweaver creates and share it with the world.

Konani: Druid of the clan, is taking classes from Stormbloom and Maegan in the field of magic and nature. She has been a happy and joyful girl ever since she joined the clan, since she was recieved with familial love, which she assures is the purest magic of them all.

Anastasia: My first “formal” oc. She started as a reverse self insert, as she was everything I wasnt, but eventually grew into her own character. Is usually reserved in public, but has absolutely no shame when she is with her friends. Likes a good suspense show more than anything.

Alizé: Younger sister of Nicolás. She used to be the perfect daughter, practicing ballet and being a prima ballerina, being first of her class and concertino violinist. All to her parent’s expectations. All until her parents kicked out his brother for being bi and she decided to go with him rather than being with her parents in that house. Ended up despicing all of her old life and eventually discovered she was pan.
