I complain a lot, yeah, but after dealing with my ear problems and how painful and debilitating it's been, my eyes decided to now cause me problems. My vision is (was) good enough that I used my low prescription glasses minimally, but now? Ugh.

It started a month or so ago with really bad eye flurries, black specks of different sizes. It would get worse in the sunlight so it's caused me to go outside even less since it's persistent. But now? It's awful. I keep thinking I'm hallucinating or there's real bugs around me because the specks are so large and move, I wish I could just just ignore it, but it's impossible not to.

Now my eyes hurt at times, long periods, just sticking around on the top(?) And sides and all I want is to close my eyes and keep them shut.

Then my vision has been getting worse. I've never dealt with such bad vision, and its happened so quickly for it to decide. I can't even differentiate books of the same color next to each other- I can't even see what the bold color titles are, only when I get close enough can I tell. I can't read the text on my phone or kindle clearly, I can't read the name of a shampoo(?) bottle only a counter away in my bathroom, it's hard to see the bold SCP logo on my mug two counters away. I can read very, very bold letters if it's close enough, but god damn if I could see the time clearly on my phone's lockscreen that'd be great. I can see better on the sides of my vision so at least I got that lol

It's all just happened so quickly and I hate it, I'm not used to this and it's just annoying. I'm getting an eye appointment soon and I just hope I get a solution for the eye flurries and eye pain, get told to wear my glasses more. Idk. I am scared I'll be shrugged off since I'm only 21, but I'm just used to normal doctors saying I'm too young to have problems and so on.

Okay, complaining over.

So I was doing some math, and I THINK Skully is almost as tall as Malleus without his horns

I think the main reference to his height is Epel being surprised they're the same age because he's taller than Sebek, yes? which I find interesting, considering Jade and Malleus -- two of the tallest guys in the main cast -- are also there. and, since I've never been one to not think waaaay too much about the absolute stupidest minutiae about fictional characters, I see two possibilities:

one is that Epel is extremely good at eyeballing heights (I actually do feel like he could be? like. I'd believe he can estimate someone's height fairly accurately by calculating based on the life stages of an apple tree, or how many apples tall they are, or something else apple-related like that.) and Scully does, perhaps, fall into that narrow margin between Sebek and Jade in height.

OR two, out of the three certified Tall Guys there, Sebek is Epel's main frame of reference because he's the only one he's had any real interaction with for, let's be fair, pretty obvious reasons.

SO in conclusion, we still have no concrete answers and will probably have to wait until next year when we get his card profile, alas alas. 😔

The Great Camera Crisis of Tim Drake

note: based on me losing my glasses, my current biggest tragedy

So, Tim Drake has one prized possession (aside from his zesti stash)—his favorite camera. It's the one he’s had for years, the one that's captured everything from the Bat's rooftop jumps to candid moments of the Batfam (not that they ever knew he was snapping pics).

But today? That camera is gone. Missing. Disappeared without a trace.

Cue Tim absolutely losing his mind.

He's checked the Batcave a hundred times, torn apart his room, interrogated Alfred (who is too polite to laugh in his face), and even considered asking Damian if he "borrowed" it (though he knows better). Tim's on edge, pacing the manor, muttering under his breath about "years of memories" and "perfect lighting." No one is safe from the fallout. Steph tries to help him retrace his steps; Dick is offering to buy him a replacement, which only earns him a death glare. Even Bruce is side-eyeing the situation like, "Is it really that serious?"

Yes, Bruce. It is.

At this point, Tim’s considering pulling out his detective skills and setting up an official investigation with case files and everything. The bats think he's being just a little dramatic, but this camera? It’s a piece of him.

He might be Gotham’s best detective, but apparently, solving the mystery of his missing camera is his greatest challenge yet.
